Rob Dalkin of the Leesburg Lowercases is our Player of the Week! Rob turned away every shot, picking up the win and the shutout, in his team’s victory over Book Hockey.
The weather cooperated, and we were able to squeeze in Week 7’s games! The Leesburg Lowercases picked up a convincing 7-0 win against Book Hockey. Jordan Kunzler had a 3 goals and 1 assist, and Rob Dalkin earned his second shutout of the season. In the second game of the night, The Misfits beat the Punishers by a score of 5-3. Misfits captain, John Hassan had 3 goals and an assist. The final game was Ovenchicken versus the Vienna Orange Wings. It was a close game early on, as Ovenchicken clung to a 1-0 first half lead. John Windt of the Orange Wings tied things up in the second half, but Jessica Huff scored a natural hat trick for Ovenchicken. The final score was Ovenchicken: 4, Orange Wings: 1.
