The camera heads backstage to where Intern Avery is standing by with the former 2x LEGACY Tag Team Champions, Domination. The two muscle-bound maulers dressed in their wrestling gear stand head and shoulders above their suit-clad manager Trent Logan, and absolutely tower over Avery. Intern Avery: Domination, in just a short while you will do battle against not just the champions, AoD, but with two other teams in a four-way ladder match for the belts. I was just hoping to get your pre-match thoughts on this match, and what you hope to accomplish tonight besides becoming the three-time Tag Team Champions? "RAGE" Ben Murdock: You know Avery, VENOM and I would have LOVED to get AoD back in that ring two-on-two for our rematch for the LEGACY Tag Team Titles. We still owe them for what went down at Glimmer of Hope, and for them sticking their noses in our match with the Flying Avengers. However, tonight we don’t just get them, we get a two for one deal. We get the chance for some revenge on AoD, but also the chance to put a hell of a beat down on the jackasses knowing as the Flying Avengers. So rather than look at this as being robbed of our chance to do this two-on-two – we’re gonna look at this as an opportunity to take care of two birds with one stone. Intern Avery: Well, what about HgH? You haven’t mentioned them at all. "VENOM" Steve O'Reily: We haven’t mentioned them, but we haven’t written them off or forgotten them Avery. We’ve been in the ring with them previously, and we know how they roll. For a couple of stoners they are definitely motivated in that ring, and if they decide to get in our way and deny us the chance to be the three-time champions? Well then we’ll make sure there golden dreams go up in smoke. Intern Avery: Trent, do you have anything to add? Trent Logan: Only this Avery – fatal four way matches are unpredictable by their very nature. You add a ladder to the equation and all bets are off. All you can do is unleash hell in that ring , and that’s exactly what these guys are going to do in that ring tonight. The best damn tag team in the industry today is going to go out there and show exactly why they are the former two-time champions, and why number three is just around the corner. When it comes to tag team wrestling we are the definition of Total Domination. With that Trent nods to Avery, and motions to RAGE and VENOM and they take their leave.
The lights in the arena dim and a faint blue light bathes the entire arena. A monotone voice breaks through the P.A. system. "Your misplaced loyalty is failure" The blue light quickly dims and again the arena is dark. Then a moment later the arena is bathed in blue again. "The Awesome is the Answer" The blue light quickly dims and again the arena is dark, this time remaining out for a moment. As the jazzy remix of Filter's mega-hit "Hey Man Nice Shot" begins to roll through the speakers with its sexy sounds of awesomeness, the fans begin booing, knowing who's coming next. When the music hits the high notes, the blue lights fade back in and momentarily bathe the arena. Josephina Colbert: The next match is set for one fall. Introducing first... The music continues to play with the rhythmic coordination with the lights fading in and out. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from Poolesville, Maryland... he is "The Awesome One"... Joooooohn... THOMAS!!! As the lights continue to fade in and out, white and blue lights shine up through the elevated walkway. Through the shadows, a man walks through the curtain, wearing a shiny hooded robe, made in a reflective material. As he gets to the edge of the elevated walkway, blue and white pyro blast up from behind him, and as the flash from the fireworks disappear, John begins walking to the ring, the lights shining up through the walkway begin flashing sporadically in rapid order, while the blue light which bathes the arena continues at it' periodic pace. Alan Ducard: We have an interesting look here tonight from John Thomas, maybe a little art nouvea styling in his entrance. Jimmy Yates: At least he's not bringing the police squad with him this time around. Bryan Harris: He doesn't have to this time, Jimbo. He knows that Greyson Blade LOVES big moments like this because all his blind followers love to cheer him the most on the biggest stages... Alan Ducard: And it doesn't get any bigger than Destined for Greatness. Bryan Harris: Exactly. John knows that tonight, of all nights, Greyson Blade is going to play it straight, but that's going to prove to be a bad move... just because he got his EGO hurt, he's getting in over his head. The smart move would've been for Blade to try to get the upperhand before the match even gets underway, but he just lost that opportunity. Stopping at the end of the elevated walkway, John Thomas throws his fists up into the air, and blue laser lights shine down onto his back, shoulders, and chest, and his hooded robe reflects the lasers all over the arena. Jimmy Yates: He's like a human disco ball! Bryan Harris: Isn't it awesome? Standing there for a moment, John Thomas looks up towards the arena ceiling and spins around slowly, the lasers still reflecting. The blue lights which have been softly bathing the arena increase in intensity until they're nearly blinding, and then they fade out to a normal level, with one white spotlight shining down onto John, he gets into the ring and takes off his hooded robe and begins to stretch. The hatred for JT was muted a bit by the sheer spectacle of his entrance, but once it finished, the crowd unloads on JT, jeering him as he finishes preparations for the match. Bryan Harris: Are you serious? After that entrance he can’t get any love? Sheep I tell you! Alan Ducard: I guess a few laser lights do not make up for months of sheer arrogance and the constant attacks both verbal and physical on The Outlaw. The jeering in the arena continues until Josephina brings the mic to her lips once more to introduce the next competitor. Flames appear across the LEGACY Vision tron only for a Western styled skeleton to emerge from the flames. It’s the symbol of The Outlaw. Its eyes flash to life, and the skeleton reaches up a six-shooter up, and unloads. Flames burst forth from the hammer strikes, and as that finishes, the opening beats from that infamous Metallica epic begin booming through the arena. Josephina Colbert: Now, introducing his opponent, hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, “The Outlaw” Greyson Blade! “Outlaw Torn” continues to blast from the sound system of Madison Square Garden, heralding the arrival of a LEGACY Original to the ring in the Mecca of Wrestling. The Outlaw appears at the top of the elevated rampway, and the crowd comes unglued with his arrival. Jimmy Yates: Listen to this crowd – already chanting “Blade” as Greyson hits the ring. Alan Ducard: The Outlaw has the respect and admiration of the fans wherever he goes – and this city is no exception, and I must say I’m really looking forward to seeing this match-up that has been years in the making here at Destined for Greatness. Jimmy Yates: There are no titles but a hell of a lot of pride on the line here tonight. Greyson Blade has never beaten John Thomas, and JT has been calling out The Outlaw on this point for weeks, and tonight they finally meet in the ring. Bryan Harris: Yes they do Jimbo, and finally you will all see that The Outlaw isn’t as dominant as you two once believed. The Outlaw hits the ring, and he glared across the ring as the smirking JT. The bell sounds, and The Outlaw is instantly on the attack, charging at John with a big clothesline, but John is able to dodge the shot. Greyson turns in the corner, and again comes charging at John, who avoids the oncoming freight train by bailing through the ropes to the outside, much to the displeasure of Madison Square Garden’s capacity crowd. Alan Ducard: It seems that John Thomas is in no hurry to mix it up with Greyson Blade. Jimmy Yates: He’s a coward, and he dodging Blade – typical JT, all talk and no action. Bryan Harris: Stop being so hasty Jimbo – would you want to meet The Outlaw head on like that? Of course not! John is merely picking his spots here. Don Bower manages to hold Greyson back from exiting the ring after John in an attempt to keep the action contained, but The Outlaw’s eye flash angrily as he glares at JT who cautiously climbs back into the ring. Both men begin to circle each other, looking for an opening, and both strike moving into the tie up, and The Outlaw using his power transitions into a headlock. Bryan Harris: What? A wrestling move? Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw has been known on occasion to bring out some mat wrestling and holds Bryan. He loves using that power and that brawling ability to be sure, but he’s not completely ignorant of basic, textbook wrestling. Alan Ducard: Well that headlock is working well right now to keep John Thomas close and inside the ring. The Outlaw is now really cinching on the headlock, going down to a knee there for but a moment. Jimmy Yates: Going to the knee was a smart move Alan, JT seemed to be going for the leg there, and Blade put himself out of reach going to the knee. Alan Ducard: Blade now back up, pulling JT more to the center of the ring, and Greyson rears back and delivers a hard right to Thomas’ face coming out of the hold! Bryan Harris: So much for the wrestling Ducard … Alan Ducard: The Outlaw follows up with another right hand, and another, and there’s a left hook, knocking John off of his feet to the canvas. Jimmy Yates: Criticize all you want Bryan, but The Outlaw gets the job done. Bryan Harris: He NEVER has against John Thomas. The Outlaw pulls John back up to a vertical base, and again goes for the headlock, but John spins out, grabs the arm, and tries pulling Greyson into the Crossface Chicken Wing! The Outlaw surges forward on instinct into the ropes, and Don Bower breaks up the hold before the damage can be done. Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw’s instincts served him quite well there as he prevents JT from applying the Crossface Chicken Wing! Bryan Harris: The Outlaw prevented it for now, but it goes to show just how dangerous JT is, and just how quickly this match could be over. Alan Ducard: The Outlaw again sets his sights on John Thomas charging at him out of the break, and JT side steps and there’s the drop toe hold! JT spins around and then drives the knee down into the shoulder, once, twice, three times before applying the front facelock. John wrenches down with the front facelock, keeping the big man grounded on the canvas. The Outlaw struggles against the hold, but as he starts to get some leverage, John breaks and drives the knee into that weakened shoulder again, driving him back down, and into the front facelock. With the hold reapplied, the crowd begins to stir and rally a cry in support of The Outlaw, and a “BLADE” chant grows louder and louder in the arena. The chant angers JT who sneers angrily at them and tries to apply the hold tighter and with more vigor. However, in spite of his efforts, The Outlaw begins to rally, first pulling both he and JT up to his feet, and then much to JT’s surprise, Blade heaves him up and at his highest point, tosses JT face first into the canvas with a “flapjack” style move! Alan Ducard: Impressive power from The Outlaw as he just tosses John Thomas away. Bryan Harris: It was impressive Alan, but it may have been costly. Blade is favoring that weakened shoulder. Jimmy Yates: He is favoring it Bryan, but he doesn’t seem to be backing off in the slightest. Greyson closes in on JT as he tries to stand, and Blade whips him across the ring with the hard Irish whip, and Blade meets him in the corner with a big clothesline. John slumps a bit in the buckles as Blade backs off to about mid ring and charges again, this time with a high knee lift that catches John in the head, dropping him on his rear in the corner. Alan Ducard: Greyson has kept John in the corner and he has him in a bad way after that series of hard shots with all Greyson’s momentum behind them. Now, The Outlaw goes to work, stomping away on John in the corner, and this crowd loves it! Jimmy Yates: Take a LEGACY legend giving an arrogant jerk what he deserves? The fans and I will love it. Bryan Harris: You won’t love it when John Thomas turns things around like he had them a few moments ago, Jimbo. Don Bower tells Blade to break as he has JT in the corner, and Blade does, but only for a moment before stomping away again at John’s head and chest. Finally Blade pulls JT up to his feet in the corner, moving him into position, and then delivers a hard back elbow to the head, and another, and another. Alan Ducard: The Outlaw is still in control in the corner, putting his size and brawling abilities to good use. Those big elbow shots have John Thomas reeling. The Outlaw now backs off to just past mid-ring and he charges in at John Thomas … but John moves out of the way and The Outlaw goes flying shoulder first into the ring post! Greyson remains slumped through the turnbuckles, shoulder against the steel, in intense and obvious pain as John takes a moment to gather his senses by the ropes. Bryan Harris: John was just a little too quick and a little too smart for The Outlaw to handle. Jimmy Yates: The shoulder was already an issue coming into the match, and now Blade looks to have a real uphill battle facing him the rest of this contest. John, having sufficient recovery time, goes on the attack once more, slipping out of the ring. As Greyson attempts to dislodge himself, John stands on the apron, grabbing the arm, and then leaps off the apron as he pulls Blade shoulder first right back into the steel. Bryan Harris: What did I tell you Jimbo, JT is back in control, and he’s using the ring to his advantage! Jimmy Yates: I don’t like it, but I have to admit JT is really doing a great job in zeroing in on that shoulder. Alan Ducard: Thomas now grabs the arm and puts his feet on the post and leans back, pulling that shoulder into the steel and compressing it. John breaks at the five count, and now steps back through the ropes. John pulls Greyson up out of the buckles, and slams him face first into the turnbuckle before sending him between the ropes to the apron. Don Bower admonishing John now for trying to send the action to the outside, but John pays him no mind, and there’s a dropkick from John Thomas that sends Greyson off the apron and down on to the ring barrier and to the arena floor! The impact on the barrier jarred Blade roughly, leaving him favoring his shoulder on the arena floor. The crowd jeers JT as he looks with a smirk down at Blade, and then begins slowly climbing the buckles. The crowd starts to rally around Greyson once more, urging him to get up and turn the tables. However, he looks to still be stunned as he uses the barrier to pull himself up as John Thomas takes flight. Alan Ducard: John Thomas leaps off the top rope and there’s a big double axe handle smash down on Blade’s shoulder! Both men go down to the floor, but The Outlaw is in a world of hurt. John had a great deal of momentum on that shot coming all the way off the top rope, and while he is getting to his feet, The Outlaw is still on the ground. Jimmy Yates: That shoulder has taken a pounding already, and that’s the shoulder Greyson typically uses for the Killshot. He’s seemed comfortable zeroing in and driving behind that shoulder, and after the attack last Strife and the abuse this week, I’m not sure how much he’s going to have behind a Killshot attempt. Bryan Harris: That’s the plan, and the purpose Jimbo – not only do you weaken Blade for an attempted submission, but you slowly take away that trademark move that is his calling card. Perhaps that’s why Greyson has never beaten JT – JT just is that one perfect nemesis. Alan Ducard: John Thomas brings Greyson up to a vertical base, and he goes for the hammerlock, looking for the DDT, but Greyson rushes and drives John back into the apron to break the hold. John though responds with a quick shot down on the shoulder, and now he twists the arm into the arm wrench, and he drives the elbow down into the shoulder. Thomas is now looking towards the ringpost, and John goes for the Irish whip on The Outlaw, but Blade pulls up again yanking on that shoulder. John tries for a second time, but again Greyson fights the pain and holds up. Greyson now steps through with a kick to the midsection, and grabbing John with the good arm Blade now sends Thomas face first into the ring post! Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw just got the reprieve that he desperately needed. The Outlaw slumps down to one knee for just a moment holding his shoulder and catching his breath, but he’s sure to get back to his feet before JT can get his bearings. Greyson leans in with his good shoulder, and using his power he scoops JT off of his feet and bull rushes forward, driving John spine first into the ring post before turning and slamming him into the side of the entrance way. Bryan Harris: Shouldn’t we have had a count out by now? Alan Ducard: There’s a different set of expectations at a Pay-Per-View event Bryan, and no one wants to see a match of this magnitude, at Destined for Greatness no less, end in a count out. If they start taking this all through the arena, or a disqualification is warranted, then you might see Don Bower make that tough decision, but for right now he’s going to let these guys keep fighting with Greyson Blade in control. Jimmy Yates: Blade now slams JT face first into the rampway, and he’s taking this one back inside the ring. I’d have preferred he keep JT out there for a bit more punishment, but the only place you can get the victory in this match is inside the ring. Once in the ring, JT rolls away from the ropes defensively, but he can’t quite get away from The Outlaw. Blade delivers a boot to the ribs, and then brings JT back to a vertical base before hammering him with three straight punches that knock JT back into the ropes. Greyson pulls JT off with the Irish whip, and he catches JT on the rebound, using his good arm for the scoop, takes JT up and over, slamming him to the canvas with a powerslam-pin! Alan Ducard: Blade with the pin out of the powerslam! ONE TWO T-NO! – JT kicks out of the pin attempt, as Greyson is going to find another impact move here that he can use without putting further stress on that injured shoulder. Bryan Harris: Look at Blade here Jimbo, look at the hesitation, the pensiveness on his face – I don’t think he was counting on being in this position – limited power offense, limited impact maneuvers. The Outlaw is used to being the hunter, but tonight he’s John Thomas’ prey. Jimmy Yates: No, he probably didn’t Bryan, but on that same token if anyone can figure out a way to make the best of this situation, to somehow utilize his toughness and ring experience to pull out a win, it would be The Outlaw. Greyson allows John to assist in getting him back to a vertical base, but he steps in behind John, and he lifts him up and drops back, slamming him into the canvas with the belly to back suplex. Greyson sits up off the canvas, still favoring that shoulder, but he’s now quicker on the attack. Greyson hits the ropes, comes off, and quickly drops the leg across the throat, rocking JT’s entire body with the impact. Alan Ducard: The Outlaw once again is establishing control here in this match, and The Outlaw is pulling John Thomas back to his feet, and there’s the Irish whip, and Greyson meets him on the rebound with an elbow, and now it’s The Outlaw who takes off for the ropes, and he rebounds off and takes JT down with a clothesline! Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw has to keep hitting hard and hitting fast – and he’s picking up the pace. Bryan Harris: But at that pace, how long is it before he makes a mistake upon which JT can capitalize? Alan Ducard: The Outlaw now off the ropes, and he catches John with a kick to the head as he tries to stand, and he pulls him up and delivers a knee to the midsection. He pulls John back, lifts him up and drives him down on the knee with the atomic drop! Greyson scoops John Thomas up on to the good shoulder, goes to the ropes, and drops him throat first across the top rope! As John grabs at his throat, Blade grabs him back into the belly to back position, and lifts him up to the top rope. Blade turns, takes JT over his good shoulder, then he drops quickly to one knee, jarring JT’s spine into the shoulder before pushing back up and doing it again. Blade lifts Thomas back up one more time, but this time he flips John forward with a Dominator style slam! Alan Ducard: The Outlaw hits the big slam, driving John into the canvas, and now he’s going for the cover! ONE TWO THR-NO! – John Thomas kicks out of the pin attempt. Jimmy Yates: Greyson didn’t hook the leg there, and it seems to have cost him. Bryan Harris: Didn’t … or couldn’t Jimbo … Alan Ducard: The Outlaw now back to a standing position, and there’s a big uppercut to John Thomas as he turns, and it knocks him right back down to the canvas. John now being brought back to his feet, and there’s the Irish whip and Blade goes low, but John pulls up and kicks him hard in that injured shoulder! Blade rears up, and John with a kick to the gut and … SINGLE ARM DDT! The impact on his head and that shoulder! John with the quick cover! ONE TWO THR-NO! Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw shows some incredible resolve in kicking out of that move. Bryan Harris: Or incredible stupidity – it’s obvious that he’s hurting, that he’s risking serious injury here the longer this match goes – plus he’s not going to beat JT. He never has, he never will. Greyson gets back to his feet following the DDT, but JT is there and meets him with a big chop to the chest, and another one before a kick staggers Greyson back into the ropes. John backs off across the ring, and then he charges at Blade who goes low and … Alan Ducard: The Outlaw back body drops John OVER THE TOP ROPE AND ON TO THE ELEVATED RAMPWAY! John got some serious elevation before he crashed into that steel ramp, and he is down on the outside. Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw once again turns the tide, and in spite of his injuries he shows that he still has some incredible strength let in this match. John lays unmoving on the steel for a few moments as Greyson clutches at his shoulder, and staggers away from the ropes across the ring, keeping an eye on JT. As JT turns and begins to push himself to his feet, Greyson takes off from the opposite side of the ring, and the entire crowd gasps as … Alan Ducard: The Outlaw …LEAPS AND DIVES OVER THE TOP ROPE ON TO JOHN THOMAS, TAKING HIM DOWN ON THE RAMPWAY! Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw hurled his 290 pound frame over that top rope and listen to the impact as he hits JT, and both men slam into that steel – the fans are chanting in appreciation for what they just witnessed, but both men are down and they are not moving! Bryan Harris: Well, I know JT wants to beat The Outlaw here, but if this was a double count out situation, at least John could be safe in knowing that once again, Greyson Blade could not defeat John Thomas. After impact Greyson rolls off of JT laying on the ramp, obviously in some serious pain and trying to using this opportunity to recuperate, but still retain control. JT remains motionless for a time before finally trying to push himself up, and that’s when Greyson goes back into action. He starts getting to his feet, and manages to get back to a vertical base before John, and he hammers John across the back, sending him sprawling forward and down on the ramp. The Outlaw then moves in front of JT who reaches up and grabs Greyson’s pants leg as Blade roughly pulls him into a standing headscissors, and then looks down off of the rampway to the floor. Bryan Harris: NO! He isn’t going to do what I think he’s going to do! Jimmy Yates: He’s nodding to the fans yes … he’s going to send JT from the rampway to the concrete! Alan Ducard: The Outlaw looks down to the floor, and he heaves up John Thomas for the powerbomb but John connects with a hard right hand, and another, and another! Blade’s shoulder gives and John drops down to his feet! John going for the Crossface Chicken Wing, but Greyson spins out! John Thomas with the quick kick to the midsection! John hooks the arm, spins Blade around … HAMMERLOCK LEG SWEEP DDT ON THE RAMP! Bryan Harris: Beautiful move from JT! Beautiful! JT just wrenched that injured arm and shoulder and splattered Blade’s brains on the rampway! Jimmy Yates: My God … Blade looks to be OUT! Alan Ducard: JT is up slowly with a smirk and he grabs The Outlaw by the arm, and he’s dragging him back inside the ring. Jimmy Yates: It’s not looking to be easy going for him though Alan – Blade is heading on one hundred pounds heavier than JT. The crowd’s “BLADE” chants grow louder and louder with each step JT takes, trying to will The Outlaw to get back up and fight, to not fall once again to John Thomas. Alan Ducard: John Thomas pushes Blade’s body through the ropes, and he hurries in and makes the cover! Don Bower with the count! ONE TWO THREE-NO! He kicked out! Blade kicks out and hope has been restored to this capacity crowd here in Madison Square Garden! John Thomas cannot believe it! He’s looking to Don Bower now, motioning “three” but somehow The Outlaw kicked out! Bryan Harris: I’m not fond of quoting superstars from outside of LEGACY, but I find it appropriate in this case … for Blade and these fans here tonight that hope is an illusion. Alan Ducard: John Thomas makes his way now back to Blade, helping him back to his feet and back into that hammerlock, and John, marshalling his reserve of strength gets The Outlaw up and takes him back up and over with the hammerlock belly to back suplex, dropping all of Blade’s weight down on that shoulder! Jimmy Yates: John is up now, and he seems to be measuring Greyson, but from straight on … perhaps looking for that SICK reverse falling neckbreaker that he used to finish off Kumquat Kid in a similar situation! Alan Ducard: John grabs The Outlaw, spins, but Greyson spins out! He hooks John and … HE SLAMS HIM DOWN! Jimmy Yates: Greyson managed to hit that “Rock Bottom” style slam and drive John down into the canvas to buy him some time – and what is he doing now? Bryan Harris: That idiot is headed for the buckles! Alan Ducard: I wouldn’t agree with your assertion that he’s an idiot Bryan, but The Outlaw is indeed headed for the turnbuckles. Greyson isn’t really a “high flyer” in any sense of the word, but on some rare occasions he has looked to hit a flying elbow from the top rope, and that could be what he’s looking for right here. Greyson slowly climbs the buckles with John remaining motionless on his back on the canvas. The crowd rises up in anticipation as Greyson sizes up JT and he looks up for just a moment, perhaps shaking off that one last inclination of doubt, and then … he leaps, hurtling his body through the air and … Alan Ducard: THE OUTLAW CONNECTS WITH THE BIG ELBOW FROM THE TOP! The Outlaw hits the elbow, and now he’s trying to make the cover! Greyson having rolled away from the impact, rolls back to JT, and tries hooking the leg with his good arm! Alan Ducard: Blade with the cover! ONE TWO THRE-NO! John kicks out! John Thomas kicks out and these great fans here in New York City can’t believe that John just absorbed that high risk, high impact move and managed to kick out. Bryan Harris: There is no way Blade is going to win this match … he’s pulling out all the stops here, and he can’t put JT away. Jimmy Yates: He has to find a way Bryan, he simply has to find it if he wants this monkey off of his back. If he wants people to truly believe that on any day, at any time he can beat anyone this federation has to offer he has to find a way to beat John Thomas here tonight. Alan Ducard: Greyson now back to his feet, and he’s pulling John Thomas up into that standing headscissors again, and he has that good arm leading, and he pulls John up … and its ugly, but he hits a piledriver! Jimmy Yates: Blade had trouble getting John up there with that shoulder problem, and I think JT almost took that on his face. Alan Ducard: Greyson is frustrated with his lack of textbook execution on the move, but he’s still going for a cover! ONE TWO THRE-NO! John again kicks out, and Greyson looks to be in trouble. What he did have for an offense with what little strength he had in that shoulder is starting to fail him. He’s not compensating well. Jimmy Yates: Greyson now sending John off to the ropes with the Irish whip, and he’s going for a sleeper hold! He if he can’t beat him, he’ll put him to sleep – BUT JT DROPS WITH THE JAWBREAKER! Bryan Harris: JT with the immediate reversal and Greyson didn’t even really have time to lock the hold in tight. JT now up and he wrenches Blade’s arm as he heads for the buckles, he climbs and, he walks out on that rope “old school” style, before he leaps off and drives a blow down on to Greyson’s shoulders! Blade goes down now like a ton of bricks! Alan Ducard: John Thomas now sits Blade up, and he comes off the ropes, and he flips over Blade, wrenching the neck down, and allow him to snap back, driving his own skull into the canvas! Greyson tries to roll to his feet, but John comes off the ropes and dropkicks him right back down to a seated position, and JT capitalizes with a kick to the shoulder off the ropes. Alan Ducard: John is just ruthless in his attacks here, and he pulls Blade up to his feet, hooks him in the inverted facelock position, and he drives him down on the knee with that inverted backbreaker! John pulls Greyson up, and drives him down on the knee again for a second backbreaker targeting that shoulder, and now John Thomas is eyeing up the turnbuckles. Bryan Harris: Oh I can’t wait to see this Jimbo – JT can hit one of the prettiest moves you’ll ever see from those heights, and I think Blade is just seconds away from being on the receiving end. JT climbs the buckles, turns, and raises his arms to the crowd before flipping back through the air … Bryan Harris: NOT YOUR AVERAGE MOONSAULT! He got incredible air and he slams into The Outlaw! This one is OVER! Alan Ducard: JOHN THOMAS MAKES THE COVER! ONE TWO THREE-NO! The Outlaw kicks out! Greyson kicks out, and John is livid, and he begins just kicking away at Blade. Bryan Harris: John throwing a virtual boot party at The Outlaw’s expense – kicking away his head and shoulders. When Blade finally rolls over protectively, John turns to the buckles, and upon reaching them, he begins to undo the top turnbuckle pad. Jimmy Yates: There isn’t enough to do damage in the landscape of the ring, he has to undo the turnbuckle pad? Bryan Harris: Well you saw when hit the DDT on Blade on the outside – Blade kicked out because JT had to drag The Outlaw back inside. He wants a quick hit and to be done with The Outlaw. JT undoes the turnbuckle rapidly in spite of Don Bower’s protests, and he tosses the pad to the outside so Bower wouldn’t attempt to return the pad to its proper position. Greyson at this point is just finishing staggering to his feet, when John grabs him by the arm to send him into that exposed turnbuckle. However, somehow, Blade manages pull up, and JT angrily tries the whip again, but Blade reverses angrily, and pulls JT to him … takes him up and … Jimmy Yates: OUTLAW DROP! HE HITS IT! Alan Ducard: That was indeed The Outlaw Drop, James, and this crowd explodes because you know what that means. Bryan Harris: How? How the hell is he doing this? The crowd is on its feet as Blade backs away from JT, and begins zeroing in on his target, as JT slowly begins to stand. JT turns, and The Outlaw explodes towards him … Alan Ducard: KILLSHOT! The Outlaw connects! The impact levels JT, driving him into the canvas, but upon impact The Outlaw yelps in pain, and he rolls away from JT clutching his shoulder in agony. Jimmy Yates: He hit the Killshot, but Blade looks to be in serious pain after using that shoulder to deliver the move. Greyson rolls over and pushes himself on his good arm towards JT as fast as he can given his condition. What is only a few seconds but feels like an eternity to the fans. Alan Ducard: The Outlaw going for the cover! ONE TWO THREE-NO! The crowd gasps as Bower, surprised himself, holds up “two” to The Outlaw who rolls off of JT looking beaten. Jimmy Yates: He had him Alan … he just had to make the cover faster … Bryan Harris: Blade took the risk, and it backfired. The Outlaw tries to get up, holding his arm, and he tries to meet JT with a hard right hand, but JT blocks, and kicks him before going up for another dropkick that sends Greyson back into the corner with the removed pad. JT moves as quickly as possible to the corner to be behind Greyson as he tries to stand up. As Blade tries to stand, JT quickly grabs him and … Alan Ducard: CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING! JOHN THOMAS HAS THE CROSSFACE CHICKENWING ON BLADE, WRAPPING THE ARM AROUND THAT EXPOSED STEEL BUCKLE! Jimmy Yates: Dear God! He’s wrenching Blade’s shoulder back against that unforgiving steel! Blade is literally screaming agony. JT is tearing him apart! Bryan Harris: What did I tell you Jimbo, what did I tell you … The Outlaw is DONE! Alan Ducard: John Thomas is cinching on that hold tighter and tighter in the corner, and Bower is making the count, but John is making the most of each and every count! The Outlaw struggles, and he’s absolutely helpless as JT breaks him down. Finally, at the count of five, JT releases the hold for the break, but he IMMEDIATELY reapplies as Greyson struggles less and less and the crowd at MSG begins chanting for “BLADE” but to no avail. JT wrenches the hold on with one last torque as the five count is reached one more time, and Greyson slumps forward out of the corner and crashes into the canvas with a “thud”. Alan Ducard: John Thomas now inside the ring, pulling Greyson to his feet and … JUMPING ARMBREAKER! John now stalks The Outlaw dead center of the ring ... Greyson using that good arm to press up to his knees, and he falls back down to the canvas. John smiling at his handiwork, and now Greyson presses up once more to his knees, and tries to stand … JOHN LOCKING IN THE CROSSFACE CHI-NO! GREYSON SPINS OUT … HE GRABS JT AND … HE DROPS JT RIGHT ON HIS SKULL WITH A BACKDROP DRIVER INTO A PIN! ONE TWO THREE! Bryan Harris: NO! Jimmy Yates: I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! The MSG crowd goes crazy as Greyson rolls out of the pin, and Don Bower signals for the bell. Josephina Colbert: Ladies and Gentlemen the winner of the match … The Outlaw … Greyson Blade! Bryan Harris: NO! – JT had him! Jimmy Yates: Apparently Blade had that one last trick up his sleeve, and it was just enough to get the job done tonight. The crowd roars in approval as Greyson crawls to the buckles and he sits in the corner with his back against the buckles, clutching his arm in agony. “Outlaw Torn” booms through the arena, but there is no moment of triumph, no moment of celebration – the Outlaw stares back at JT who lies motionless where Blade planted him, and finally a smile creeps across The Outlaw's face – he survived.
*Static* Fergie - GLAMOROUS Championships Riches Status The following is brought to you by … THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT. *Static* The scene shifts backstage to where The Highlight of the Night is seated on a large couch of the finest leather, the newest addition to Matthew Dawson’s locker room, as although The Entourage is but a distant memory, Dawson is now in sole possession of the resources of that group. Seated beside him on the couch is the dark, curvy, and lovely Elena Pisk, and standing behind him on camera but out of his sight is his auburn-haired assistant Charity, who hands him a glass of fine wine. Dawson takes a moment to swirl the expensive, and inhale its wonderful vapors. HOTN: Ah, New York City – I must admit that I have enjoyed being a town that has the ability to cater to one of the Elite ilk such as myself, in spite of what happened at the Pre-Show. Yes, The Baron of Boring did walk away with a victory after dropping on me on my head – but there was no permanent damage done. It wasn’t like actually caught Baron’s Charisma Cancer or something. The bottom line is that the Master of Mediocre got lucky this time around, and next time – well when there is a next time we’ll be seeing an outcome reminiscent of when I had Baron coughing up his own bile after our Last Man Standing match. For me … for The Elite, there are no failures, merely minor setbacks. It’s inevitable that I will soon take my rightful place here in LEGACY and gold will once again be around my waist. The Highlight of the Night smiles, and takes a moment to sip, swirl, and savor his wine before continuing. HOTN: Speaking of my rightful place – my rightful place should have been here tonight competing in the Hawkins Finals here at Destined for Greatness in New York City on the grandest stage of them all, here at Madison Square Garden! I was denied that by Devastation when he stuck his nose into my business at Strife 55. He cheated me that night, but in so doing he cheated the fans here and around the world. He cheated this city. He cheated Madison Square Garden, the Mecca of Wrestling. He cheated this company, and he cheated this very industry. All of these things together demand the greatest performance in wrestling history – an ELITE performance. Yet, it should shame all involved to recognize it’s the Hawkins Tournament finals, and your competitors are the Mohawk Moron and … a clown. Dawson rolls eyes and shakes his head. HOTN: Now, I’m sure both MM and Ronald McDonald will go out there tonight and try to give it their very best. They’ll pull out all the stops to try and put on a five-star clinic that will have you on your feet cheering and the internet losers *cough* Laura Seton fans *cough* raving. However, as hard as they try, as much as they sacrifice to make this match an epic affair, it will never be as good as if I was in it. Dawson looks almost sincerely forlorn about the fact that the wrestling business has been shafted. HOTN: It will never be Elite without The Highlight of the Night. So to this entire industry that has been shortchanged, go ahead enjoy tonight – enjoy the finals for what they are, but when that bells sounds and you’re caught up in the rush of the spectacle of the Hawkins Finals at DFG, take just a moment to also remember what you are missing – The Highlight of the Night – and look forward to the future when the new leader of this industry not only competes in the finals at DFG, but wins the whole damn tournament. There is intensity in Dawson’s voice as he smirks into the camera. HOTN: Enjoy tonight … but remember … the BEST is yet to come. *Static* Fergie - GLAMOROUS Championships Riches Status The preceding was brought to you by THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT. *Static*
We are high overhead the streets of Las Vegas. We swoop down to see what appears to be two homeless men sleeping under an arena marquee that reads "Jester Smiles vs. Cade Sydal: TONIGHT!" We hear the slot machine opening of Katy Perry's "Waking up in Vegas" starts. "You gotta help me out A shot of Cade and Jester partying at a Las Vegas bar, enjoying some karaoke. "We need a taxi 'cause you're hung-over and I'm broke A child comes and pokes each of the "homeless" men with a stick each bolt upright like they know they're late for something. When they sit up out of the filth we see disheveled Cade Sydal and Jester smiles. They share a panicked look... they're at the wrong arena. "Spare me your freakin' dirty looks They argue briefly. Each points the finger of blame. They look up at the arena they once called home, and then each man bolts, running frantically. "You want to cash out and get the hell out of town" We see Cade leap upon a white horse. He begins to ride off. Jester comes across a unicycle. He looks around, like "REALLY?!?" then shrugs and jumps on... he is pedaling Tour Du France style. "Don't be a baby We see Cade and Jester do a shot. The screen goes blurry, and we're back to Cade and Jester traveling the country. "Shut up and put your money where your mouth is Cade still on horseback smiles, and we go into his "memory", He pins Laura Seton. Jester still unicycling chuckles and we see the memory of him hitting the side splitter on Loco Martinez. "Get up and shake the glitter off your clothes, now A bag is tossed from a car to each men. Its their wrestling gear. "Why are these lights so bright Jester squints through the bright midday light. He snatches a pair of sunglasses from a random pedestrian. "Why am I wearing your class ring?" Cade and Jester are at a rest stop, for some reason Cade is wearing the F/X Network title... each men looks down at that with comedic confusion. Cade takes it off and sheepishly offers it to Jester who snatches it away. "Don't call your mother The two men arrive at an airport. Both of them running towards the terminal. They see a frail old woman trying to cross the street. They catch each other's eye... they stop and help the woman across the street. She gives each one a kiss on the cheek, leaving bright red lipstick imprint... they smile and wave goodbye and one beat later they turn and take off like Usain Bolt. "You got me into this Cade drops Dawson down. Jester nails Adam Davis with a series of precise strikes. "Send out an S.O.S." Cade on his phone... calling his wife... or Rob Belote... "And get some cash out A night time fly over of New York City. We end up Circling down to street level outside of Madison Square Garden. "Don't be a baby The two men step from a cab looking totally different. Clean. Sober. Dressed to the nines. "Told me, you told me, you told me They each walk towards the arena. Flashbulbs popping with each step they take. "That's what you get for waking up in Vegas The two friends stop right before the main entrance and eye each other up. "That's what you get for waking up in Vegas" They give one another a knowing nod right before exchanging a pound and walking inside, heading opposite directions. The camera then cuts to ringside. Josephina Colbert: The following contest is the Hawkins Memorial Tournament Finals! The fans cheer loudly in anticipation! The lights slowly dim down to darkness and the logo shows up on the LEGACY Vision jumbotron.
Suddenly the opening of “It Dwells in Me” by All That Remains hits, and blue and white spotlights start darting around the arena! Suddenly they converge together on the entrance ramp where Cade Sydal has absolutely exploded through the curtain! His arms are out wide, and his vibrant blue and platinum blonde spiked mohawk-covered head bouncing up and down with the rhythm of the intense beat! His legs are bent at the knees, and spread out wide! He snaps up vertically as the white washes out the blue in the spotlight-battle, showing Cade to be wearing a pair of blue trunks, with a white and black yin-yang symbol on the front of them, a red, nastily slashed upside down A cuts over the top of the symbol! The fans cheer loudly, as Cade starts down the ramp, rubbing his blue gauntlets, etched with a silver, indiscernible pattern, going from his fists to the middle of his forearms! As he marches down and the camera backs up to follow his steady, determined cadence, we can see his black kneepads leading into his blue kick pads, covered with silver dragons wrapping around them, the right kick pad holds the same yin-yang symbol on the top, while the left has the symbol at the bottom, covering the foot. Jimmy Yates: Listen to the ovation here in Madison Square Garden for the high-octane, in-your-face, competitor, Cade Sydal! I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that he may very well be one of the most intense competitors to recently join the LEGACY ranks, despite the fact that he is also one of the smallest on the entire roster outside of a very small handful in both regards! Alan Ducard: Several fans, and members of the competing roster, may take exception to your comment, James. That is certainly a debatable point, one I’m sure will be vastly covered around work places the world over tomorrow afternoon. However, there is no denying the fact that Cade Sydal has shown absolutely no sign of being one to be intimidated! Cade Sydal quickly sprints up the ring steps and walks briskly across the ring apron in front of the ramp, he reaches across and grabs the top rope on the adjacent corner and slings himself over the ropes, he lands with both feet on the middle rope! He quickly straightens his torso up and leans forward, his arms spread out wide as he looks out at the sea of fans, his right foot moving up to step on the top rope! He turns and springs off, to land on his feet in the middle of the ring, as the fans cheer loudly still! "It Dwells In Me" fades out as the lights go out. Suddenly, a loud booming voice hits over the PA system 5 A purple spotlight hits the entrance ramp. 4 A green spotlight hits the entrance ramp. 3 They begin to move all over the entrance ramp, as well as over the crowd. 2 The lights begin to flash purple and green 1 All the lights go out. Jester Smiles: Hahahaha...freakin' sweet! The lights come on as purple and green pyros erupt and "Pressure" by Skindred hits over the PA system. Jester Smiles emerges from the back, holding his F/X Network Championship high in the air! The crowd erupts in cheers as Jester stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He wears green and purle tie-die long-legged trunks, a tie die green and purple sleeveless shirt, purple and green boots, purple and green tie died MMA gloves, and to make things really stick out, he has on a purple and green Hannya mask. The crowd seems to appreciate this look, as they freak right out. Jester makes his way to the ring, leaning over the rails as he goes to high five and hug the fans in attendance. Alan Ducard: This is a man who truly loves his fans. Jimmy Yates: He really tries to make each match a personal experience for the LEGACY faithful. Bryan Harris: You guys are going to make me sick. Once Jester gets to the ring, he gets right in the camera and yells, so that the microphone can pick everything up. Jester Smiles: I'm in the GARDEN babay! MADISON SQUARE F**KING GARDEN! Jester jumps up and down in excitement before running around the ring, high fiving all the fans at ringside. Jimmy Yates: It's refreshing to see someone this excited to perform for the fans. Bryan Harris: Some role model. Cursing? Jester leaps up on the apron and then leaps over the top rope. He RIPS off the Hannya mask and throws it to the fans, revealing his face paint. The right side of his face is painted solid white, with a wicked looking purple grin painted on that half of the face. He has red running from his right eye, as if it's bleeding. The left side is only painted with a single black tear. Jester looks at Cade, points at his face, and is seen saying "Pretty sick, huh?" The camera moves to catch Cade’s reaction, receiving only a shrug of his shoulders and a slight wave of his right hand, wavering from side to side, as if to say “so-so.” The reaction elicits a slight chuckle from Jester, as if he pretty much expected that. The music slowly fades out and the camera focuses on Josephina Colbert in the middle of the ring. Josephina Colbert: Introducing first. Hailing from Southport, North Carolina, and weighing in at 179 pounds! CAAAAAAAAAAADE SYYYYYYYYYYYYDAAAAAAAAAAAL! Cade Sydal moves to the center of the ring and drops to a knee, his arms spread out wide as he cocks his head to the right slightly! Blue and white streamers fly from all directions in the arena, as cheers sound out loudly! Alan Ducard: Quite the ovation for a man that has been given the title of Technical Messiah and the Strong Style Dragon! Bryan Harris: You’re forgetting to mention that he was also recognized as the Teen Idol and an egomaniac! That’s that revisionist history no one wants to talk about! Cade pushes to a full stand and backs up, bringing several of the streamers with them as they remain tangled in his arms! Stagehands at ringside rush to clean the area of the thin strips of paper! Josephina Colbert: And his opponent! From Richmond, Virginia! Weighing in at 245 pounds! He is the FX NETWORK CHAMPION! JEEEEESTEEEEEEEEER SMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILEEEEEEEEEEEEES! Josephina starts to get out of the ring as Jester Smiles walks to the center of the ring and spins around with his arms out wide, both hands pointing in the sky as green and purple streamers fly at him from all directions! The fans scream deafeningly, as Jester’s smile turns into a grin. Jester starts to back up to the corner as stagehands move to quickly remove the streamers again. Alan Ducard: And the FX Champion, who’s title is not on the line this evening, is just as popular as they come! Jimmy Yates: There’s no denying that jester Smiles is absolutely one hell of a guy, a guy people can see is genuinely a great person to be around! A lot of likable, real, qualities there for the Clown! The bell sounds, and immediately the two competitors begin to circle the ring. They come together, and Cade quickly hooks Jester’s left elbow and swings under it, pulling it behind Jester’s back, bent at the elbow in a hammerlock! Jester slides his right hand around, trying to search for a way out of the hold before he steps his left foot out wide and starts to duck under Cade’s now extended left-arm, but Cade quickly uses his right hand to push on Jester’s head, shoving him all the way through, Cade steps right back behind him with the same hammerlock, before grabbing Jester’s shoulder and pulling him back into a headlock! Bryan Harris: Admittedly, Cade Sydal possesses an incredible amount of technical prowess and intelligence, he can spot most reversals coming, and can twist them into his own advantage in most scenarios, like he just did there! Jimmy Yates: I’d almost think he’s made a fan out of you, if I didn’t know any better! Bryan Harris: I don’t have to like the kid to respect his talent, Jimbo. Jester backs Cade toward the ropes and takes a step away from the ropes, dropping to his left shoulder, he sends Cade over with a sort of arm drag out of the headlock! Cade rolls through to his feet as Jester springs to his own feet and turns to run at Cade! Cade leaps into the air and snaps horixzontal, sideways, sending Jester over with a deep arm drag! Jester rolls off his shoulders to his feet as Cade lands on his own shoulders and nips right up! Jester catches Cade in a headlock as he gets to his feet! Bryan Harris: Smart strategy from Smiles there, slowing Cade down. Any momentum Sydal is allowed to build up can, and will, cost him! Alan Ducard: Jester is an accomplished wrestler himself, this isn’t his first time in the ring with a high-level performer, and will undoubtedly not be his last! Cade quickly pushes Jester back toward the ropes and sends him off them! Cade follows Jester and slides down to his chest, in an attempt to trip Jester as he comes off the ropes! Jester jumps up to clear him, but Cade turns onto his back just as quickly and catches Jester by his right leg as he turns to his side, the sudden catch sending Jester to the canvas face-first! Cade rolls over Jester’s back and hooks him in a side headlock again! Jimmy Yates: As soon as Jester Smiles thinks he knows what Cade’s going to do, though, Cade changes directions on him and does something completely different! Alan Ducard: The early going is definitely looking like a game of human chess, with Cade Sydal pushing the pace and making some surprising, unpredictable, moves! Jester grabs Cade’s arm and leans into him, pushing Cade up to his feet, Jester quickly shoves Cade off the ropes! Jester follows and drops to his belly for a trip attempt as Cade rebounds, and Cade throws his hands down on Jester’s back and pushes off, using Jester’s back to handspring back through to his feet as Jester tries to roll through to trip Cade the same way, Jester rolls the rest of the way over to his feet as Cade turns around, Jester catches him and snaps him over with a headlock takeover! Jimmy Yates: Jester Smiles looking for a quick moment to recollect his thoughts perhaps, looking once again to slow Cade Sydal down! Bryan Harris: I’m kind of surprised to see Jester Smiles using the headlock so willingly after what happened. Alan Ducard: What do you mean, Bryan? Bryan Harris: I heard a headlock killed his parents. Right? Jimmy Yates: You’re…kidding right? Bryan Harris: No, that’s really what I heard. Alan Ducard: His…his parents died roughly a year ago. Bryan Harris: ….oh… During the awkward exchange, Cade quickly kicks his legs up and locks them around Jester’s head, pulling him down into a head scissors! Jester hooks his hands under Cade’s legs and nips up out of the head scissors! Cade quickly scrambles to his feet, and Jester snaps him back up and over with a headlock takeover! Cade immediately responds with a kick of his legs, capturing Smiles once again in a head scissors! Jester hooks under Cade’s leg again and starts to nip up out of it, and Cade suddenly unlocks his legs and swings his right leg back as Jester lands on his feet, sweeping Jester back to the canvas from behind! Cade spins through with the same motion right into a lateral press! ONE! Smiles kicks out, and Cade meets him on his feet with a headlock takeover of his own! Alan Ducard: Cade Sydal answering the exchange of holds with a headlock takeover of his own, perhaps in a bid to show Jester Smiles that he is all too willing to trade hold for hold with him! Bryan Harris: Jester’s no fool, surely he knows that trading submission holds only favors his smaller opponent, in this case at the very least. Jester hooks under Cade’s leg and rolls to the side, stacking Cade on his shoulders! ONE! Cade kicks his legs hard and turns back to the seated side headlock, tightening his muscles around Jester’s head as a warning! Jester quickly lifts his right leg and gets it in front of Cade’s head, pulling him down into a head scissors! Cade grabs the leg and spins his body around it, turning so his chest faces the canvas, Cade springs forward into an Oriental style nip up! Jester scrambles to his feet as Cade hits his feet and dashes for the ropes! Jester quickly rushes to catch Cade with a hip toss, and Cade flips through the maneuver onto his feet! Cade turns and hooks under Jester’s arm with a hip toss attempt of his own! Jester blocks the attempt and swings his right arm across for a clothesline! Cade ducks under and hooks the arm with his own right arm and spins, ending up behind Jester with a half-nelson Cade spins back around Jester’s body into a snap mare position before turning his body in a sort of corkscrew to catch Jester’s head and snap him over with a headlock takeover once again! Alan Ducard: With a dizzying speed, Cade Sydal has planted Jester Smiles back on the canvas! Jimmy Yates: At which point does Jester Smiles look at this match and decide that he needs to start throwing some strikes? He’s just as skilled as Cade is with them, if not more so, and given the size advantage that can only work more in his favor than this is! Jester kicks his legs and slaps the canvas, perhaps in frustration, as he turns into Cade and starts working to a stand! Jester grabs Cade’s left wrist and turns out of the headlock, quickly bending Cade’s arm at the elbow over his shoulder and bending it back down in an overhead wristlock! Jester starts leaning into Cade, bridging him backward! Jester shakes his head slowly and kicks the back of Cade’s left leg, and Cade drops to the canvas! Jester applies pressure on the shoulders! ONE! Cade quickly bridges back on his head, popping his shoulders off the canvas as he regains his full bridge! Cade starts straining against Jester, pushing back to a vertical base! Bryan Harris: You might be right, Jimmy. Jester needs to start throwing some heavy hands if he’s going to stop Cade Sydal in his tracks, or at the very least get Cade Sydal into a position where he has a better inherent advantage! Jimmy Yates: I’m surprised to see you agree so readily, but I suppose with there being no discernable competitor that the fans hate, so you feel a bond with, you have no choice but to be respectful, huh? Cade starts to fight to reverse the overhead wristlock, when Jester quickly moves behind Cade, bending his arm behind him in a hammerlock! Cade quickly reaches his right hand up and hooks around Jester’s head! Cade kicks his legs up and swings through, snapmaring Jester over, but Jester shoves off of Cade’s back and hand springs through to his feet! Jester hit’s the ropes and rushes at Cade, and Cade quickly steps into Jester and snaps back at the last second, hooking Jester’s arm with a Japanese arm drag Cade executes a perfect back flip onto his knees, holding Jester in an armbar! Bryan Harris: Cade Sydal gets right back into a dominant position with the exchange of holds! Alan Ducard: One has to think that that will be a common trend any time someone is willing to trade holds with Cade Sydal. He enjoys the challenge, he enjoys finding new holes in people’s defenses and exploiting them. Jester rolls backward to his feet, and Cade switches quickly from an armbar into a wristlock! Jester rolls forward to reverse the wristlock, but Cade dips to his shoulders and rolls off them with him, springing to his feet next to Jester with the wristlock still maintained! Jester rubs the side of his face in frustration with his right hand and exhales deeply before he turns to Cade and snaps his right forearm into Cade’s face with a loud smack! Jimmy Yates: and there’s a stinging blow to the side of Cade’s face for sure! Alan Ducard: Jester must realize that getting out of this hold is going to take a fair amount more energy for him than it is for the expertise of his fellow competitor, and if he can get Cade to switch gears he has a far better chance of success! Cade rocks back a little before spinning under Jester’s arm, wrenching the wrist tighter! Jester quickly kicks Cade in the side of his quad, a thunderous thud rings out as Cade kicks his leg out and shakes it! Cade swings under the arm again and quickly whips Jester to the nearest corner! Cade rushes in right behind Jester, but Jester throws his right elbow up and it catches Cade in the chin! Cade stumbles back, holding his face, as Jester rushes out of the corner at him! Cade leaps p onto Jester’s shoulders and snaps him over with a hurricanrana! Cade hooks both legs! ONE! TWO! Jester kicks out! Jimmy Yates: Cade showing some of that well-documented quickness, catching Jester off-guard just when Smiles thought he had an opening! Bryan Harrias: But it wasn’t enough to put Smiles away! As impressive as it was, that’s all that matters in the end! As Jester kicks out Cade springs to his feet! Jester scrambles to his feet only for Cade to come up beside him and lock him in an armbar! Jester pushes the rest of the way to his feet and pushes Cade to the ropes! Jester comes away from the ropes, looking to whip Cade, but Cade swings around behind Jester’s back and hooks him in a waistlock, rolling backward into an O’Connor Roll! ONE! TWO! Jester kicks out hard, and both men scramble to their feet only for Cade to catch Jester by his left wrist and twist under it, right into a wristlock once again! Jimmy Yates: A quick exchange of pinfall attempts, though, almost always tires out the one forced into the pinning predicament! Alan Ducard: Exactly right, so even if it doesn’t get the victory, it will exert more energy from your opponent and any energy you can steal from him early on is always beneficial later, when stamina is a major factor! Jester searches for a way out, and Cade twists the wrist tightly, preventing any escape attempts! Jester finally shakes his head and turns into Cade, punching him in the cheek with his right hand! Cade’s head snaps back and he releases the hold! Jester turns and snaps a chop across Cade’s chest! Jester turns with the chop and fires a forearm into the side of Cade’s face, rocking him back more, as the fans begin to cheer a little louder now! Jester fires off another chop that sends Cade into the ropes! Jester grabs Cade by the wrist and whips him off the ropes, and follows right behind, catching Cade as he rebounds off the ropes with an elbow to the mouth that sends Cade through the ropes to the ring apron! Bryan Harris: Jester Smiles bringing some aggression to this contest in a big way, and that reversal of roles of sorts may have surprised Cade, as he tends to be the one more willing to get aggressive early on! Alan Ducard: Catching Cade off guard is a good move from Jester, though, and one I’m sure neither man will look back and regret! Jester reaches through the ropes and guides Cade to his feet on the apron! Jester pulls his body back through the ropes and grabs Cade over the top rope and runs Cade toward the corner to ram his face into the turnbuckle! Cade plants his right foot on the second turnbuckle, halting his momentum, and slaps Jester’s hands away! Cade snaps his foot through the ropes into Jester’s abdomen squarely, and Jester stumles away from the ropes clutching his abdomen! Cade grabs the top rope and starts to springboard when Cade rushes him again and shoves Cade’s legs out from under him so swiftly Cade drops to land with his stomach across the top rope! The momentum springs Cade off the top rope and into the air high before he lands with his back on the ring apron and falls to the arena floor! Bryan Harris: Oh! And just like that Jester is firmly in control! There is absolutely no doubt about that now! Jimmy Yates: I’d have to agree with you, Bryan! Cade just crashed and burned, and Jester is going to have to capitalize on this huge opening and opportunity! Jester backs away from the ropes and catches his breath after the kick to his gut, as the referee begins to count! Jester moves to the ref and backs him away from the ropes, stopping him from counting, Jester implores him to just “let me go get him. I don’t want it to end like this, man.” Jester moves to the ropes and steps through them and jumps to the floor. Jester grabs Cade and pulls him to his feet, before Cade throws Jester’s hands wide to break free of Jester’s grasp! Cade snaps into Jester’s chest with a chop! Jester steps back before lunging into Cade with a knee into his belly! Cade doubles over and Jester grabs him by the arm and sends him hard into the edge of the ring, chest first! Alan Ducard: Jester not appreciating Cade’s response to his attempt to help Cade back into the ring! Bryan Harris: To be fair, we don’t know that was what Jester intended to do! For all we know, he always intended to put the hurt on Cade more, and he had to defend himself as best he could! Cade stumbles back a little, clutching his ribs, as Jester grabs him by the back of his mohawk and his trunks and rolls him back into the ring! Jester follows Cade in and turns him over onto his back as he still clutches his ribs, Jester leans heavily on Cade’s ribs and hooks under a leg! ONE! TWO! T--! Cade kicks out! And Jester quickly wraps around Cade’s body from behind, wrapping his thick legs around Cade’s midsection in a body scissors! Cade tries to fight out of the hold, and Jester turns over quickly, stacking Cade on his shoulders! ONE! TWO! Cade kicks out backward, forcing Jester to release the hold! Jester scrambles to his feet and meets Cade with a kick to the abdomen, stopping him in his tracks! Alan Ducard: Jester now applying the pressure to Cade, after injuring a body part, forcing Cade to expend not only energy but valuable oxygen in his state to kick out of those pinning predicaments! Jimmy Yates: Cade is showing some resilience surviving this early onslaught from his good friend, and foe for the evening! Jester grabs Cade by the wrist and sends him off the ropes! Jester catches Cade on the rebound with a tilt-a-whirl, but Cade flows through into a head scissors, sending Jester spilling through the ropes! Cade pushes to his feet as Jester does the same on the outsde! Cade spots Jester and dashes for the ropes to build up momentum as the fans begin to cheer! Jester turns as Cade slides through the ropes for a baseball slide, and Jester ducks! Cade slides over Jester’s back and lands on his feet behind him! Jester starts to turn around as Cade rushes at the side of the ring, Cade grabs the bottom rope with his right hand and posts his left hand off the side of the ring, he swings his body through the gap between the bottom rope and the canvas as Jester turns full circle, just as both feet fly into his face with a sort of modified outside 6-1-9! Jimmy Yates: And just when you start to consider him down and out, Cade Sydal comes back with moves like that! Bryan Harris: You’re not kidding! That came out of literally nowhere! LEG-A-CY! LEG-A-CY! LEG-A-CY! Cade quickly rolls ino the ring, holding his own ribs, as the camera shows Jester on the arena floor clutching his face! Cade rolls back out of the ring, breaking the official’s count quickly. Cade bends and pulls Jester to his feet, and this time it’s Jester that slaps Cade’s hands away! Jester sends a chop into Cade’s ribs and chest, and Cade winces in pain instantly! Cade quickly kicks high with his right leg, looking for a roundhouse, but Jester ducks under the kick and Cade spins full circle off balance! Jester kicks Cade in the gut and sends him into the ring by the back of his trunks and hair! Cade rolls under the bottom rope to his feet as Jester hops onto the apron! Cade turns toward him, but Jester shoots his shoulder through the ropes into Cade’s chest, Cade stumbles back clutching his ribs! Alan Ducard: Jester Smiles is fighting back, though! He’s going to need to quench the fire Cade Sydal is lighting before it gets too big! Bryan Harris: He’s not out of the woods just yet, though. We’ve seen Cade fight back just when we thought he was cut off many times! Jester slingshots over the ropes beside Cade and catches him as he comes over the ropes and snaps back, driving Cade down to the canvas with a Flatliner! Cade bounces off his chest and clutches it immediately and Jester scrambles over him to hook the leg deep and make the cover! ONE! TWO! THR--! Cade kicks out hard! Jester pulls Cade to his feet, nodding his head slowly in a sort of show of respect. Jester sends Cade into the near turnbuckles, chest first! Cade stumbles back out of the corner, holding his ribs, as Jester hooks under his arm and lifts him for a back suplex, Jester turns and snaps Cade off his shoulder, snapping Cade forward with a sit-out faceplant, crashing Cade’s ribs into the canvas again! Jester hooks both legs and turns, rolling Cade onto his back, jester puts pressure on his chest! ONE! TWO! THRE--! Cade kicks out again! Alan Ducard: A handful of high impact maneuvers, and Cade Sydal manages to just barely kick out of each of them! Jimmy Yates: Jester Smiles has to know that he’s close to putting Cade away, he just needs to keep stringing some more offense together and not get too frustrated!
