The camera heads backstage where Intern Avery is standing by for an interview. Intern Avery: Ladies and gentlemen, my guests at this time are the LEGACY Tag Team Champions, Domination! The camera moves from Intern Avery to the giants standing next to him – RAGE and VENOM, each man with a Tag Team Title belt around his waist. Intern Avery: I don’t have to tell you just how big the match is tonight guys … RAGE stops Avery, his look filled with intensity, and his voice filled with passion. RAGE: No Avery, you don’t, and in fact, for any question you might have, the real answer will come in that ring tonight. AoD has hit us, and we’ve hit back. AoD has left us beaten and broken. We’ve left AoD beaten and broken. At every step neither side has wavered, and neither side has backed down, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We thrive on competition, we thrive on the fight, and tonight we will thrive on beating AoD. RAGE defers to VENOM who looks down to Avery, his voice calm, but powerful. VENOM: Here we are at Glimmer of Hope, LEGACY PPV, in front of millions of fans worldwide. Tonight we will rise to the occasion, and on the biggest stage, we bring our very best. We will show the world just why we have been Champions for this past year in LEGACY and why are the faces of tag team wrestling in this industry today. Tonight we will show AoD and the entire world … Total Domination. With that the Champions make their exit, leaving Avery smiling, never having asked a question.
Gryffin Anselm moves down a wide backstage corridor, a bottle of water in his right hand and a towel draped around his neck. He passes by the catering area, and anyone who meets his eyes gets a taste of the cool confidence he exudes. Anselm rounds a bend, and sees a man who commands his immediate attention. The seven foot tyrant known as Entragian stands under a few malfunctioning fluorescents, the lights clicking on and off, one minute painting him in illumination, and the next leaving him among the shadows. Issac appears to be talking softly with Liz, the young woman leaning up against a wall and smiling coquettishly at her man. Gaunt reaches up with one delicate hand, running it through Issac’s white hair, before leaning upwards and locking lips with the white demon. The kiss is a mixture of violence and dark lust, like two feral animals sparring in the wild. Having seen enough, Will clears his throat loudly while standing a few feet away. The albino doesn’t turn around, instead his head swings towards Gryffin as though it’s on a swivel, every so slowly. Depravity dances in those eyes, his madness so evident that it seems almost to jump out and claw at Anselm. Issac’s upper lip pulls back from his hyena-like teeth, and if looks could kill, Gryff would be pushing up daisies right about now. In an unintimidated tone, Gryffin addresses the former No Limits Champion. Gryffin Anselm: Entragian, I’d like a word. Issac fully turns around, stepping towards Gryff until they’re nearly chest to chest. Liz stays put, smirking and seeming to enjoy the possibility of seeing Anselm blush. The monster looms over Gryff, which is no small feat since Will stands in at 6’5 himself. The Ivory Terror: A word? Are we f*cking playing scrabble or something here Gryffindor? You want a word?? ANNOYANCE. That’s your word, and apparently that’s what you do best, you ANNOY. Gryffin Anselm shakes his head, looking down before looking back up into Entragian’s twisted countenance with a glimmering smile on his face. Gryffin Anselm: So hostile, Issac. But that’s you, right? The big, bad mother’ who everyone goes out of their way NOT to cross around here. As a matter of fact, I just wanted to wish you good luck in the Co-Op Challenge, that’s all. Now it’s Issac’s turn to smile. A grin that would be more suitable on the face of a rabid hound spreads across his pale face, and a chuckle actually escapes his throat. The Ivory Terror: Luck? That’s a foreign concept to me, Gryff, because I’ve never needed luck and I never will. As far as I’m concerned, luck is a dead sentiment, kind of like how The Diabolik is dead, right? Anselm draws in a harsh breath through his nose, feeling the sting of Issac’s venomous words but not backing down for even a second. Gryffin Anselm: By all means, mock, but rest assured Issac, when it’s you and me facing off in that ring at Glimmer of Hope, you will LEARN to respect me… Before Anselm can even finish his sentence, Issac SNAPS, and one hand shoots out and locks in a vice-grip around Gryffin’s throat. Anselm clenches his teeth and starts breathing at a more rapid pace through his nose. Both hands going up to lock around Issac’s wrist. Entragian leans in, spitting his words into Anselm’s face like snake venom. The Ivory Terror: AND YOU WILL LEARN THAT I AM THE WORST POSSIBLE PERSON THE F*CK WITH, GRYFFINDOR. YOU WILL LEARN TO BE SMART AND KEEP YOURSELF OFF MY RADAR, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU WILL LEARN TO BE HUMBLE. After these words have been screamed into Gryff’s face, Issac pushes him back, releasing his grip on Will’s throat while baring his teeth like a mad dog. Before anything else can happen, referees flood the scene and get between both men, and push each man down a different section of the hallway. Gryff points at Issac, his eyes hot with inner fire, and Entragian yells back once more “GO CRY TO BIG LOU” before we cut away.
The screen goes dark, and the sound of a cello begins to play softly in the background, and then a date fades in. 12/23/2007 The date fades out, and is replaced with "The Diabolik". Images are shown from the match between The Diabolik and Domination from late 2007, which ends in Domination becoming World Tag Team Champions for the first time. The images fade out, and another date fades in. 6/1/2008 The date fades out, and is replaced with "El Chupacabra". Images are shown from the Falls Count Anywhere Match between El Chupacabra and Domination in the middle of 2008, which ends in Domination regaining the World Tag Team Championships. The standing bass joins in with the cello. The images fade out, and another date fades in. 7/ 2 /2008 Images begin to appear of Domination's title defense against the Unholy Alliance, and as those fade, the violins begin to play and another date fades in. 8/ 24 /2008 The image of a ladder fades in as the date fades out, and we see various images from the Four-Way Ladder Match, ending with Domination reaching the top of the ladder to retain the belts. 9/ 27 /2008 A quick flash of John Thomas comes on the screen, then one of Loco Martinez joins it. Images flash in rapid succession appear and overlap each other from the match where Domination successfully defended the belts against the Cirque du Mofo members. The pace of the music quickens. 11/ 23 /2008 The logo for LEGACY X comes across the screen, and then we see pictures of James Win and Gryffin Anselm appear and disappear. Black and white footage from the title defense fade in and fade out, giving only a slightly longer lasting impression than the earlier pictures. Domination defeat The Diabolik and walk away with the World Tag Team Championship belts still in their possession. 3 / 8 / 2009 After a brief appearance by the 11th Hour logo, we see quick clips of footage of the match between ANARCHY and Domination, but just like all the other clips, the footage ends with RAGE and VENOM holding the tag titles. The music's crescendo abruptly ends in silence, and the screen fades to black before fading back for a moment. Harsh, screeching notes from violins and loud, thumping drum beats hit every three seconds. At each shocking note, another image appears. Mirage and Lucien Gray fighting Katsuro Yoshida and Kevin Oppenheimer. Osamu Hayashi leaping off the top rope. Mirage and Lucien Gray with raised hands walking backwards up the ramp. The Agents of Destiny getting themselves disqualified. The contract signing which ends in chaos. Osamu Hayashi getting the Total Domination. Mirage getting destroyed. The Agents of Destiny winning a six-man tag match. Mirage and Lucien Gray Ben Murdock, Steve O’Reily, Trent Logan. The World Tag Team Championships.
Alan Ducard: Ladies and Gentlemen, in our next match, the LEGACY Tag Team Championships will be on the line in a No Limits Style Tag Team match, and we’re going to see one of the most hotly contested title matches in LEGACY history. Jimmy Yates: AoD and Domination have been going back and forth every since our last PPV event with each team standing tall at the end of the night in multiple occasions and ways, and now we’re going to see these two clash with it all on the line and I can’t wait to see it. Bryan Harris: I can’t wait to see new Champions guys – the meatheads have had a great run, but it will come to an end tonight. Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, this next match will be a No Limits Tag Team Match for the LEGACY World Tag Team Championship. Introducing first, the challengers, Lucien Gray & Mirage … Agents of Destiny … AoD! “White Angel” by The Lions hits the PA system, and the monster and the mind make their way out to a chorus of boos from the raucous crowd. Lucien glares down a few of the kids along the rampway, causing them to shrink back in a bit of fear. Mirage on the other hand seems entirely focused on the match at hand, entering the ring with a scowl, turning towards the entrance way, anxiously awaiting the coming battle. Josephina Colbert: Now introducing their opponents, they are the LEGACY Tag Team Champions … RAGE and VENOM … DOMINATION! “Fear” by Disturbed hits the PA system, and in complete contrast to the reaction for AoD the crowd completely gives it up for the Champions who have won over the crowd in their second title reign. RAGE and VENOM head to the ring side area looking primed and ready to deliver a beating on the challengers. There is no hesitation or trepidation in their step, and they waste no time in hitting the ring. Alan Ducard: No Osamu Hayashi, no Trent Logan tonight by virtue of the fine print of the match contract – its these four men, and they four men alone in this contest. Jimmy Yates: I can’t wait Alan – this one will be a slugfest! The Champions’ entrance theme dies down, but the decibel level in the area remains high as the capacity crowd shows its support for the Champions with a booming “Dom-in-ation” chant. It is in the midst of those cheers that VENOM and Lucien step through the ropes and come face to face with each other as Leonard Nolan holds up the LEGACY World Tag Team Championship belts for the crowd. Both men break the intense stare but for a moment to take one last peak at the gold. Alan Ducard: There they are ladies and gentlemen, the LEGACY World Tag Team Championships – with all of the beatings suffered and all of the blood spilled between these two teams, the gold is truly at the heart of this feud. Bryan Harris: Now that I can agree with Ducard – both of these teams desperately want to be champions, to be the very best LEGACY has to offer, and after tonight I can tell you that team will be AoD. Jimmy Yates: I think Domination is going to have something to say about that Bryan. They’ve been impressive as champions in this their second run with the gold, and they aren’t looking to see it end here tonight. Leonard Nolan ushers the belts from the ring, and then immediately signals for the bell, and the time between the ringing of the bell, and the impact of the opening blows is practically incalculable. Alan Ducard: VENOM and Lucien are just hammering away at each other – look at the ferocity of those blows gents, they want to tear each other apart. Jimmy Yates: The hatred has just been building in the weeks leading to this match, and now we will be witnessing to these four men simply unleashing on each other! Alan Ducard: Big right hand from VENOM connects on Lucien, and another, and another – Lucien is staggered back to the ropes. VENOM tries the Irish whip, but Lucien reverses and catches VENOM with a big back elbow and VENOM is now staggered to the ropes. Bryan Harris: It’s a battle of wills for these behemoths, and in spite of absorbing these early blows, neither one is going down. Alan Ducard: Lucien rocks VENOM with another back elbow against the ropes, and there’s the Irish whip into a neutral corner. VENOM hits hard, and Lucien catches him with a BIG boot on the return! Jimmy Yates: What an impact on that kick! He nearly took VENOM’s head off of his shoulders. Bryan Harris: By the end of this match we just might see VENOM’s head off of his shoulders Jimbo. AoD is going to pull out all the stops to take the belts home – by any means necessary. Lucien pulls VENOM up to his feet, and scoops the big man up and body slams his down to the canvas from Gray’s 6’9” height. Gray then measures VENOM, and drops the leg right across VENOM’s throat with such force that O’Reily’s lower body lifts from the canvas. Alan Ducard: This is an inauspicious start for the Champions, and the fans are getting a bit restless with Lucien in control here, applying the chinlock to VENOM and driving that knee into spine. Bryan Harris: The people want to see violence and bloodshed here – it is a No Limits match after all, but this kind of move is smart. Wear down the Champions, force them to wrestle your type of match. I know AoD can brawl, and they can throw down with anyone, but they play to their strengths being calculated and methodical in that ring. As Lucien cinches on the hold tighter, RAGE looks to the crowd which picks with the chants once more to will VENOM to get to his feet. However, a comeback is not necessary from the Champions as an impatient RAGE hits the ring, runs at Lucien and drives a knee into the back of Lucien’s skull, and they he storms to AoD’s corner after Mirage. Marcus smartly drops off the apron, but RAGE is in hot pursuit! Jimmy Yates: We had a few minutes of at traditional type match, but that’s all gone out the window here as RAGE is hunting down Mirage on the outside, and VENOM is free on the inside courtesy of that knee to Lucien’s head! Alan Ducard: Lucien is trying to get up inside the ring. VENOM is back to his feet, stalking Lucien and there’s another kick to the head on Gray. Gray is still trying to get to his feet and VENOM SCOOPS HIM AND BODYSLAMS GRAY! Jimmy Yates: VENOM just bodyslammed 400-plus pounds of that monster! What an effort by the Champion! Bryan Harris: That effort may have cost him dearly though Jimbo, VENOM is down to his knees now, holding that back that Lucien was working over with his own assaults. Alan Ducard: There’s some great action in the ring, which as Leonard Nolan’s focus but outside the ring the action has been intense. Mirage originally had RAGE, catching him with an uppercut on his exit from the ring, and then knocking him into the ring post. RAGE though has elbowed his way out of a suplex, and has just tossed Mirage into the barricade! Bryan Harris: It’s not surprising to see the intensity from both of the guys on the outside. Mirage’s attitude after the beating Domination put on him after having him isolated really fired up this former multiple time World Champion – and RAGE really brings a great deal of fire and passion to the Champions. Inside the ring, VENOM and Lucien push themselves to their feet with VENOM having a bit of an advantage having not fallen completely to the canvas after the bodyslam on Lucien. VENOM fires off a huge left hook that connects with Lucien’s jaw as the monster tries to focus. VENOM hits a brutal uppercut that rocks Gray, and one ugly but effective chop block later, and Lucien is down once more. On the outside, Mirage continued his assault on Mirage, whipping him into the side of the elevated rampway that is uniquely featured on LEGACY PPV. Jimmy Yates: That rampway is just another ringside weapon for these guys isn’t it? Bryan Harris: It’s not just for show Jimbo – there’s some functionality to it as well. Alan Ducard: RAGE moving in now on Mirage, and Mirage with a kick to the groin, halting RAGE in his tracks, and he slams RAGE head first into the walkway! Mirage now crawls up on that walkway as VENOM and Lucien continue to battle inside. Jimmy Yates: VENOM on the inside with the inverted atomic drop on Lucien, and he’s off the ropes, but Mirage catches him with a shot from behind and Lucien clotheslines VENOM off his feet and that might have been a knock-out blow! Mirage now turning to RAGE and there’s a double axe handle smash on RAGE off the apron, and RAGE hits the barricade on the way down! Alan Ducard: Lucien makes the cover on VENOM who is seeing stars! ONE TWO-NO! The big clothesline just gets the two count, and this match will most certainly continue. Jimmy Yates: It will Alan, but I just can’t believe Leonard Nolan hasn’t tried to get these men on the outside back to their corners. Bryan Harris: What’s he going to do about it Jimbo? Disqualify them? This is a No Limits match. These guys watch to fight, so they are going to fight! After failing in his pin attempt, Lucien pulls VENOM to his feet, and sends him into what would be the AoD corner, and having just dropped RAGE, Mirage is there to make a tag. Alan Ducard: A tag is made here by AoD, but in the context of this match seems to be more about who would be technically the “legal man” than anything else. Mirage now entering the ring with Lucien, and they are hammering away on VENOM in that corner. Bryan Harris: Hammering away? They are taking VENOM apart. Lucien delivering those huge elbow smashes, and now Mirage kicking away at the midsection. Alan Ducard: Lucien now hooking the arm, and he takes VENOM up and over with the big vertical suplex, and now Mirage moving to the second turn buckle drives a knee down into VENOM’s head! Jimmy Yates: AoD has Domination in a very bad way here guys, and Mirage is up shouting for Lucien to get VENOM back up and finish him! Bryan Harris: The end is here guys – NEW CHAMPIONS! Lucien begins pulling VENOM up to set up the Purgatory, as Mirage looks on waiting to make the pin, and the crowd is really giving it to AoD - jeering what appears to be the end of the Domination tag title reign. Lucien relishes this reaction as he gets VENOM into the standing headscissors. Jimmy Yates: RAGE is up and he’s climbing the turnbuckles! AoD doesn’t see him! Alan Ducard: RAGE zeroing in on AoD and the big man flies! BIG FLYING CLOTHESLINE ON MIRAGE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! The crowd roars in approval as RAGE flattens Mirage, and Lucien realizing from the crowd reaction that something is wrong, drops VENOM, and turns his attention towards RAGE, but RAGE is just too fast, and getting a head of steam off the ropes, he takes to the air with a flying shoulderblock, that knocks Lucien back into the Domination corner. Alan Ducard: RAGE is unleashing on Lucien in the corner, fists flying rapid fire into the big man – Lucien fighting back with a kick to the midsection, but RAGE shrugs it off and drives that shoulder into Gray’s midsection in response. Jimmy Yates: Ben Murdock is a man on a mission here to put AoD down! There’s another shoulder charge from RAGE, and another in the corner. Bryan Harris: Lucien is still hanging tough in that corner though Jimbo. VENOM is to his feet now and he goes to assist RAGE in the corner, hammering Lucien with a shot to the face, and then pulling him out of the corner as RAGE goes up the buckles. VENOM pulls Lucien into an inverted position and delivers a devastating DDT just as RAGE connects into Lucien’s exposed midsection with an elbow off the turnbuckles. Alan Ducard: GUT CHECK! Domination connects with that signature double team maneuver, and VENOM makes the cover! ONE TWO THRE-NO! Mirage is there to break up the pin! Jimmy Yates: I can’t believe Mirage saved the match! He literally dove into that pinning predicament to break it up. Bryan Harris: Mirage is a real champion Jimbo, and he’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done. He hurled his body into the fray there all for LEGACY gold. Alan Ducard: No victory, but Domination is still in control as RAGE slams a knee into Mirage’s midsection, knocking the smaller man down to the canvas. RAGE steps through the ropes, and VENOM now makes the formal tag to RAGE, to get the “legal man” to be perhaps the fresher of the two fighters. RAGE now slips into the ring after Mirage, but Mirage takes him down with a drop toe hold, halting his progress. Jimmy Yates: Mirage goes to the technical game here to keep Domination off balance, but VENOM grabs Mirage from behind as he tries to get to his feet, and there’s an old-school atomic drop on Mirage! AND OH MY GOD WHAT SHOT! Alan Ducard: RAGE exploded off the ropes and just LEVELED Mirage with his patented clothesline that he calls “The Fury”. RAGE quickly makes the cover on Mirage! ONE TWO THREE-NO! Lucien is there and he breaks up the pin! Both teams have done a good job of getting one man in isolation, but the resolve of the partners is keeping this match alive. In the wake of missing the three count, RAGE angrily pulls Mirage up and tosses him over the top rope to the arena floor. He turns back to VENOM who is battling Lucien, but he nods for RAGE to stay on Marcus. VENOM fires off a big right hand to Lucien, but the monster shrugs off the blow. VENOM fires off another shot, and again Lucien shrugs off the blow and will not be stopped. Bryan Harris: Uh-oh, the fans don’t like it one bit, but the monster seems to have been awakened! Alan Ducard: Lucien with a big head butt on VENOM, and now he has him by the throat! Lucien has him up and there’s a big CHOKESLAM on VENOM. Bryan Harris: There aren’t many fighters in this company who can toss these meatheads around like rag dolls, but Lucien Gray is one of those select few and he’s doing a great job of it right now. On the outside, RAGE pursued Mirage and tossed him headlong into the barricade with a thud. He proceeded to then pull Mirage to his feet, scoop Marcus over his shoulder, and then drop him “Snake-eyes-style” over the barricade. As the challenger lands, RAGE moves quickly and drives a knee directly into Mirage’s face, crushing his skull against the barricade, and Mirage’s blood begins to flow freely. Jimmy Yates: The blood is flowing, and this one is getting intense. Mirage looks completely out of it on the floor, and now RAGE drives the knee into Mirage’s head again on the outside. Bryan Harris: This entire feud has been hard hitting, why shouldn’t it be just that way with the title on the line? RAGE has Mirage right where he wants him, but before he can hit him again, he’s driven to the floor by his own partner! On the inside, following the chokeslam, VENOM tried to fight back, but Lucien was just too strong at this point in the match, and finally Lucien set VENOM flying to the outside with a slam into his own partner! Alan Ducard: Lucien looks to be a wrecking machine here, tossing VENOM into RAGE, and giving Mirage some much needed breathing room, and now that monster is headed to the outside as well. Bryan Harris: Mirage is starting to come around here guys, and it looks like although bloody, Mirage and Lucien are going to have Domination right where they want the soon to be ex-Champions. Lucien pulls RAGE to his feet and clubs him a few times before tossing him over the barricade and into the crowd! Mirage wipes some of the blood from his face, and then moves in on VENOM, and quickly hooking Steve, Mirage plants him with a DDT on the floor! Alan Ducard: HUGE DDT from Mirage and VENOM is out on the floor! RAGE is trying to get up in the crowd, and Lucien climbs over the barricade, and tosses him into the chairs at ringside as the fans scatter around the action! RAGE is just getting battered and bruised here, and Mirage is coming to join in with his partner. Bryan Harris: This is No Limits guys – brawl in the crowd! Use everything you can possibly get your hands on here! Jimmy Yates: We haven’t seen a lot of “weapons” here, and I don’t think any of these fighters are in that mold, but they are using everything in the environment for impact. The rampways, the barricades, the stands – all are being used in this matchup. Alan Ducard: Mirage now instructing Lucien, and now Gray is pulling RAGE into a Boston Crab in the crowd, and Mirage with a HUGE kick to the skull, and Mirage is beating down RAGE just like RAGE beat him down in the in-ring a few weeks back. Bryan Harris: That was a hellacious beating from the meatheads, and I’m sure Mirage has just been waiting to return the favor on that one. Mirage with another kick and another – and now RAGE is starting to lose some crimson as well. The crowd is jeering AoD as the beating commences, but a “Dom-in-ation” chant breaks out again as the crowd tries to will the Champions to keep fighting, for RAGE to tough it out, and for VENOM to find his way to his partner and stop the assault. The kicks continue for a few more seconds, but finally RAGE’s fight slows. Mirage gets Lucien to break the hold, and they bring RAGE to his feet, and whip him into the barricade! Alan Ducard: Huge impact into the barricade, and RAGE is in a world of hurt as Mirage moves in on him and pulls him up and fires off punch after punch into RAGE’s bloody wounds, stunning RAGE, and allowing Lucien to charge in and there’s a bit boot to the face, sending RAGE over the barricade! Jimmy Yates: I guess AoD wants to take this one back to the ring and win it in the ring – and Mirage is over the barricade, Lucien to follow, but here comes VENOM! VENOM having circled over the barricade is attacking from the crowd! VENOM with the shot to the back of the head, and now he has Lucien trapped over the barricade and … WOW! Bryan Harris: I hate these guys but even I’ll say that was an impressive move! Alan Ducard: VENOM turns Lucien on that barricade and hits a neckbreaker on the barricade that pulls Lucien’s head and spine down on to the top of the barricade, and now Lucien slumps off and down to the floor! Mirage is pulling RAGE back into the ring, but here comes VENOM. VENOM grabs Mirage from behind, heaves him up and there’s a belly to back suplex on the floor! Jimmy Yates: I think that may have hurt VENOM a bit too there guys – Mirage took the most of that blow, but VENOM is moving pretty slowly down there as well. Bryan Harris: Well these guys have flat out beaten the living hell out of each other for weeks on end here in LEGACY and tonight has been no exception. Eventually bodies give out and give up, even if the mind would never yield. VENOM is up first, not much before Mirage, but enough to maintain control of the contest. VENOM pulls Mirage to his feet, and then rocks him with a right hand, and another, before lifting him up and driving him into a ring post. There’s a hard thud as Mirage’s body spasms on impact. VENOM then carries Mirage towards the rampway, and rolls him up on that elevated space. Alan Ducard: Lucien is trying to get up on the outside, and RAGE is pulling himself up slowly inside the ring, but right now the battle is really waging with VENOM and Mirage. VENOM is now headed up to that rampway, and he’s got Mirage in a bad way. VENOM pulling Mirage up to his feet and he hooks Mirage, looking for a suplex, but Mirage blocks! Mirage blocks the suplex and he …. HE TAKES VENOM UP AND OVER WITH A SUPLEX ON THE RAMPWAY! Bryan Harris: Mirage has some incredible reserves gentlemen, and he just suplexed a man who outweighs him by a good 70 pounds! Mirage is up on the walkway and he drives a knee down into VENOM, and then another! Mirage finally drops a third knee, but when he comes up, he’s met with a kick to the midsection from RAGE! Alan Ducard: RAGE is pulling Mirage into a standing headscissors, and … HE POWERBOMBS MIRAGE OFF THE WALKWAY TO THE FLOOR! He just broke him in half! The crowd gasps with the impact but before they can truly realize the extent of the damage, RAGE is lifted off his feet with a full nelson grip … Alan Ducard: Lucien has him and … FULL NELSON SLAM OFF THE RAMPWAY! Jimmy Yates: I can’t take this guys – it’s not the blood, it’s not the “weapons” style of violence, but you can tell with every impact how much force, how much power, and just how much malice and desperation is behind every move. Bryan Harris: These teams don’t like each other one bit, but they know exactly what the other is capable of doing – and at any moment this match could end and the LEGACY Tag Team Titles could their grasp – they are both going for it all in this match. Alan Ducard: Lucien just tossed RAGE to the floor, but VENOM is back up and VENOM with a kick to the midsection, and another, and another! VENOM with a hook and … RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP ON THE WALKWAY! Jimmy Yates: They didn’t have the impact down to the floor, but that really was a hell of an impact for both of these fighters. Lucien is clutching the back of his head – VENOM his back. RAGE and Mirage are trying to get to their feet on the outside, and this one is still anyone’s match! Alan Ducard: Neither team seems to really be able to maintain that long, successful stretch maintaining control that would probably give one team that distinct advantage. It seems as soon as one team gets some isolation, the partner manages to somehow turn the tide or at the very least make the save. Mirage is FINALLY back to his feet here, and he’s going back to the crowd, and he’s coming back with a chair! Mirage has the steel, and he’s sliding it into the ring, and getting the drop on RAGE he slams him head first into the apron, and rolls RAGE back into the ring. Bryan Harris: Mirage is tired of this war, and I think he wants to finish it right there in the ring! Alan Ducard: Mirage sliding in the ring, and there’s a kick to RAGE, and Mirage off the ropes and there’s a face crusher! RAGE hits the canvas face first, and now Mirage is going for that chair! On the outside of the ring, the “power guys” for both teams stagger up to their feet, and VENOM fires off a punch to Lucien, and Lucien responds in kind. Back and forth they go, until Lucien hits a stiff kick to the midsection, and takes control. Mirage stalks RAGE inside the ring and Lucien looks out of the corner of his eye and with a smile he sends VENOM down the rampwa y and into the ropes on the outside, and he looks for the back body drop, but VENOM pulls up, and pulls VENOM into a … Alan Ducard: PILEDRIVER! VENOM PILEDRIVER’S LUCIEN! He had to pull him and use Lucien’s own weight but he got it done! Mirage hears the impact and turns from RAGE, and he can’t believe what he’s seeing … RAGE is up and … SPINEBUSTER! Mirage looses the chair and he’s crushed into the canvas! Jimmy Yates: Can you feel it guys! This crowd can feel it. Domination can feel it. IT’S TIME! Bryan Harris: Dammit! NO! Not again! Alan Ducard: Yes again! RAGE and VENOM now make the “official” tag to make VENOM the legal man. RAGE is headed to the turnbuckles, and here comes VENOM! It’s that powerbomb to pin, flying clothesline combination …. TOTAL DOMINATION, and Mirage is about to feel it! VENOM pulls Mirage into the standing headscissors and heaves Mirage up to end it. However, at the very of the powerbomb there’s a cry of pain, and Mirage is dropped! VENOM staggers backwards into the ropes, knocking RAGE off balance and crotching him on the top rope as VENOM claws at his eyes in agony! Bryan Harris: Now look at this turn of events! Jimmy Yates: Mirage … he … he BLINDED VENOM! Alan Ducard: I don’t know what he used James, our camera angle didn’t pick it up, but VENOM definitely can’t see and RAGE is on that top rope, his groin destroyed. VENOM claws at his eyes, falling to his knees in agony, before fighting to get back to his feet. Mirage moves incredibly quickly to grab his steel chair in the ring, and he … Alan Ducard: CHAIR SHOT TO RAGE! He hits him square in the face and knocks him off the turnbuckles! Now RAGE is sizing up VENOM! Jimmy Yates: NO! He can’t see! He blinded him and now he’s stalking him! Bryan Harris: This is brilliant – by any means necessary Jimbo! No Limits! Jimmy Yates: This is … this is DISGUSTING! The fans jeer and a literal “a**hole” chant begins to break out as Mirage wields the steel, watching a blind and helpless VENOM try to find his adversary. Mirage side steps a wild, shot-in-the-dark punch from VENOM. He drives the steel into VENOM’s legs, knocking him to his knees before rears back and unleashing a full-bodied swing with the steel. A thunderous CRAAAAAAAACK is heard throughout the arena as the steel hits VENOM completely unprotected in the skull as blood flies from the impact, and VENOM collapses blind and perhaps now unconscious to the canvas. Jimmy Yates: It can’t end like this! Bryan Harris: It’s LEGAL … Jimmy Yates: It is still despicable! Alan Ducard: No matter, this one is academic! Mirage making the cover! The crowd is LIVID as Mirage cockily stands over VENOM, foot on his chest making the pin. Alan Ducard: ONE TWO THREE! Leonard Nolan signals for the bell, and the historic title reign is over, and the fans are most certainly NOT happy about it. Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen your winners and NEEEEEEEW Tag Team Champions: Marcus Mirage and Lucien Gray …. The Agents... ooooooof DESTINY!!! Bryan Harris: I told you so guys! I called it … NEW CHAMPS! Jimmy Yates: We do have new champs, even though I don’t like the way they did it, and I fear what this means for anyone who steps in AoD’s way. If they would do this to win the gold, what will they do to keep it? As Leonard Nolan hands the World Tag Team Championship belts to Mirage and then Lucien Gray, Mirage takes a moment and looks at the belt, then pounds his palm against the golden faceplate. Lucien Gray moves over to the corner, the strap of the championship belt in hand, and he hoists it into the air and lets out what could be described as a roar. The match having ended, Osamu Hayashi runs out from the back to join the celebration in the ring. Alan Ducard: Say what you will about how Mirage and Lucien Gray came about those championships, nothing they did here tonight was illegal, and those championships are rightfully theirs. Take nothing away from Domination, however, as they set a standard in LEGACY, holding those championship titles for well over a year - their reign starting on the first of June back in 2008 and ending here tonight. Jimmy Yates: All I can say is that the Agents of Destiny had better enjoy the reign while it lasts, because Domination is going to be coming after those belts, and if for some reason they can't get them back, there's a locker room full of tag teams just waiting to get the opportunity to hold the titles which represent the best tag team division in the business. With his arms raised, Mirage waits as Osamu Hayashi puts the belt around his waist, smirking as the fans all around the arena are booing the scene.
Alan Ducard: Only three matches down so far tonight, we've still got two spectacular and historic matches yet to come, but we wanted to take a few moments and let you all know how things got kicked off this weekend here in Detroit. Jimmy Yates: Every time LEGACY rolls into town for a pay per view, it hosts a pre-show the Friday before the big event as a way to set the tone for the weekend, provide an opportunity for people to see LEGACY live if they weren't able to get tickets to the pay per view... Bryan Harris: And it gives us one last chance to convince people to order the pay per view. Alan Ducard: There were six matches on the show two nights ago, each of which was worth watching. Thomas Manchester Black had a good match in his LEGACY debut. Jimmy Yates: The debonaire Cervantes continues to roll, this time knocking out Iscariot in a match which was supposed to be a triple threat match - forced down to a regular one-on-one due to Allen Franks coming down with the flu. Bryan Harris: The Flying Avengers, who have been wildly successful elsewhere prior to showing up in LEGACY, not surprisingly won in their debut... Jimmy Yates: ...albeit with some illegal help, they did, in fact, pick up a victory. Alan Ducard: In the other tag team match of the evening, ANARCHY defeated El Chupacabra, but the big story is that Hector Rodriguez had to be carried off on a stretcher, and at this time we're not sure about the extent of his injuries. Bryan Harris: In what some people are calling the surprise match of the night, Frank Garvin defeated Hazard in a great match, one that might just have Hazard wishing he'd never given up his hardcore ways. Jimmy Yates: And the main event of that evening saw a returning Damien Black putting Turner to sleep with his Triangle Choke style submission hold... and as hard as it is to knock out Chris Turner with punches or kicks or weapons, you have to hand it to Damien Black for finding a way to subdue the animal. Alan Ducard: All in all it was a great event, one which you can stream for free on the LEGACY website.
The shot cuts back to the backstage area. We are set up in front of a black sheet, with a Legacy Logo attached to the sheet. Andrew Kelley is standing in front of the logo, microphone in hand and looking off into the distance, and turns his attention back to the fans that can see him over screen in the arena, and to the people watching him at home. Andrew Kelley:"I have a blast from the past so to speak for all of you Legacy lovers out there. Tonight I have the pleasure of interviewing one of the original Legacy Wrestlers. You haven't heard from him in a while, but I'm sure he hopes you haven't forgotten about him, please let me introduce my guest for this interview, "The Ladies Man" Tim Jones! The shot pans over to the left, where we see Tim Jones sitting on a crate, smoking a cigarette, right next to a no smoking sign, and he looks surprised for a second, but composes himself quickly. He is wearing his traditional getup. The black jeans, black boots, but is sporting a gray t-shirt with a picture of a Klondike Bar on it. Tim takes the smoke out of his mouth, and with his thumb and forefinger presses the cherry out and drops the now extinquished cigarette in the garbage. He walks over to Andrew and extends his hand and gives him a strong handshake. Tim Jones: "Andrew Kelley, thank you for this pleasure. I thought i had a few more minutes to get the butterflies out of my system. I'm really keyed up right now, ya know?" Andrew Kelley: "I can understand that. What has it been, six to eight months?" Tim Jones: "At least, at least. Its been a long time. I have something i would like to get out in the air right now, before we start with any questions, is that OK with you Andrew?" Andrew gives Tim a nod, allowing him to continue... Tim Jones: "I want to issue...no, no open challenges, but an apology. To my fellow wrestlers in the back of the house, to the wrestlers not here right now but in their hotels. I want to apologise to the ownership of Legacy, and finally, the fans of Legacy. Its been a very long time since i have stepped in front of a camera, or just talked about my feelings to anyone, and its been weight on my shoulders. I have badly shamed myself and my association with this company for my actions in the past few years. I hope that I can finally, finally, rectify all of the problems I have had in the past, and move on from them. Thanks for that Andrew, now please, continue with your questions." Andrew Kelley: "First and foremost, what have you been doing in your time away from Legacy?" Tim Jones: "Extensive soul searching. I am now six months sober. No more beer, no more weed, no more of the high end drugs, I'm totally and fully clean. I still smoke, but that is something I am working on. Its baby steps Andrew, and i felt my return to Legacy, where I harvested all of my addictions would be a solid test for me. I owe this company everything that I ever got in my life, the addictions were not however a problem of Legacy. Those were purely my own doing. Early on, i blamed the wrestling industry, but it was my own weakness that I was trying to hide. Andrew, if I may turn the tables on you for a second, ill ask you this question. Have you ever met something you couldn't beat on your own?" Andrew Kelley thinks about this for a second... and then looks Tim back in the eye.. "To be honest, no I haven't." Tim Jones: "Then i would have to say that you are blessed. You always should remember that if you can't solve a problem on your own, that you should turn for help. I forgot that, for a long long time. I solved my own problems, and I solved them in ways that only created more problems. My doctors have told me that I was my own worst enemy, and I know now that I was. When my friends tried to intervene, I pushed them out. There is one friend however...and he knows who he is, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you saved my life. If it wasn't for you, i would be dead in gutter somewhere. Andrew Kelley: "Would you like to say who this friend was?" Tim Jones: "He knows who he is. I don't want to change his life by calling him out in the public forum. My life is open for public scrutiny, as of course is his, but I don't want to give him undo pressure, he has enough pressure on him at this pay per view. Andrew Kelley: "So it was a Legacy Wrestler that saved your life?" Tim Jones: "Andrew, please, i don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm getting a bit emotional and I would like to keep the tears out of this interview, no one is tuning in to see a grown man cry all over national TV. Were are not doing a Dr. Phil thing here. Andrew Kelley: I will respect that Tim, then lets switch gears, you have apologised to everyone here. The wrestlers, the ownership, the fans....What are you looking to accomplish in Legacy? Tim Jones: "To be here. I am not coming in to demand anything. I just want to be here. To be in the mix again, and to enjoy hearing people cheer or boo, however they want to take me, I just want to be back again. I been working on my ring rust in my own private gym with my friends and I feel I'm at one hundred percent. So it is my current goal to get a match on Strife 53. I am making my public appeal to our great management to allow me test my belief out at that time. At that time, everyone will get to see if my ring rust is gone, if I still need to work on it, just to be blunt..if i still have it in me. I know in my heart that i still do have it, so i just have to believe that my body will believe in my heart that I can still do it. It should be fun to see, wont it?" Andrew Kelley: "I believe it will be fun to find out, I wish you the best of luck in getting your match at Strife 53, any parting words for our fans?" Tim Jones: "Believe in me this time Legacy. I am sober, I am stronger than ever, I will make it to Strife 53, and after that, its all in God's plan, I just hope that he has Legacy and Tim Jones written into the plan for a long, long time. Tim hands his microphone to Andrew Kelley and shakes his hand again good-bye, and exits into the locker rooms...
The cameras cut to Smith Cartwright's Office. He is signing papers,
and glancing every so often at the monitor on his desk. Suddenly the
door to his office swings open. He looks up, and he gets an annoyed
look on his face. Incredulous of Rawlings' account of what happened in "Japan",
a chuckle pops through Smith's mouth, though he tries his best to hide
it. Smith Cartwright: Actually ratings are up… WAY up. Stephen Rawlings: I am LEGACY.... And therefore...
I will be getting WHAT I want, when I want... And HOW I want it. And
I will do WHATEVER it takes to make sure of it. Even if I have to buy
this company from under Rob Belotes hairy feet. |
