John Thomas vs X-Calibur

"That's Why I Say Hey Man Nice Shot!"

The remixed version of Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot" starts playing, the rolling bassline coming to a crescendo.

Josephina Colbert: Our next match is set for one fall! Introducing first, weighing in at 220 pounds... John! Thomas!

Snapping the attention of the crowd in place, John Thomas appears wearing a blue hooded robe. Keeping his hood down and refusing to acknowledge the fans in attendance, who are booing him mercilessly anyway, JT walks down the aisle way, and up the steel steps. When he gets to the ropes he simply hops over them, showing great agility and readiness for the match at hand.

Mark Perletta: I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been waiting all night for this one. These two have had heated words for one another since STRIFE 20.

Joey C: Well it’s all coming to a head tonight, Marky... and John will be one step closer to the championship that has been eluding him for over a year now. The LEGACY World Championship.

Landon Savage: I hope you have your DVRs set at home folks, because this one is going to be a classic.

Josephina Colbert: And his opponent... weighing in at 252 pounds... he is X-Calibur!!

Bow down, bitches...

The sharp vocal over the public announce system cuts through the air like a knife and the crowd is awoken into a buzzing frenzy. Those who weren’t already standing from the events that have unfolded through out the night, definitely are now.

... the LEGEND has ARRIVED!

With that second sharp vocal, that same guitar riff that has filled the atmosphere since February, fills the atmosphere once again.. With the classic LEGACY edit, the tune starts after the first couple minutes of slow build-up to where the guitar and drumming get good and heavy, and instantaneously the audience roar and cheer for the man that’s about to step through the curtains.

Wearing black and red wrestling pants with alternating base colors on each leg- a red dragon down the black side and a black “X” with a serpent wrapping around it on the red side, black boots and black finger gloves, X purposefully walks down the rampway, smirking at John Thomas and pointing up at him.

X sprints the rest of the way down the ring, and immediately slides into the ring. But just before he can even get to his feet, John Thomas lays into him with kicks to the ribs and back.

The bell rings, and boot after boot, Thomas stomps away on the veteran like there’s no tomorrow, not giving him the slightest opportunity to get to his feet. X tries to stand up, but JT reigns the kicks down even harder.

Joey C: That’s it JT! Don’t let him up! Give him hell!

Succumbing to the stiffness of Thomas’ shots, X stays down on the ground until Thomas pulls X up by his head. Thomas goes for a right hand shot, but X blocks it and fires back one of his own! And another. And another. And another! And another! X with the sudden burst of energy, and drops John Thomas on his back with a haymaker that lands straight to the jaw! Thomas is quickly up again though, but is dropped with another! Again, Thomas gets to his feet, and this time X-Calibur pushes into JT’s body, holding him by the shoulder until his back is touching the ropes.

Whipping him off the recoil into the opposite ropes, X readies another haymaker. X lunges with it, but Thomas ducks. Following through to the other side, X runs away to the opposite ropes, and as Thomas rebounds he is FLOORED in the middle of the ring with a nasty clothesline that sends X sliding down on the mat to the bottom rope!

Landon Savage: What a clothesline!

Joey C: X almost decapitated him!

Mark Perletta: He put so much energy into that clothesline that his momentum almost carried him to the outside!

X gives no rest for the weary, and immediately pulls Thomas back up to his feet. The crowd pops madly for a moment as X goes for the X-Terminator and wraps his left arm around Thomas’ neck, but JT quickly pushes X off of him and slides to the outside of the ring to heavy booing.

Mark Perletta: JT better be more careful here. He wanted to try to end this early by attacking X before he even got the chance to stand up in the ring, and it almost backfired on him.

Joey C: JT wants to be done with X-Calibur as quick as possible so he can focus on finally winning the world title he rightfully deserves.

Landon Savage: While I don’t disagree that JT deserves the title, because you’re damn right he does, I do think he better put more focus on the match at hand. X-Calibur is a dangerous, dangerous competitor who’s been in the ring with best of them.

John Thomas paces back and forth on the outside, cussing out a few of the fans who aren’t satisfied with the sudden retreat. X meanwhile holds his arms out and shouts to the crowd, “Is this a future world champion?!” which prompts some chants of “X-Cal! X-Cal!” to start up. Not liking this one bit, Thomas slides back into the ring. But X moves in real quick as if he was going to do the same thing JT did to him upon entering the ring, which causes JT to half-backtrack until his legs are outside and the bottom rope is across his lower back, but X quickly stops in his tracks and flips JT the bird with that trademark smile on his face.

Mark Perletta: Looks like X isn’t lowering himself to those kind of tactics, tonight.

Joey C: Please. X’s own tactics go no lower than the floor. JT is a man of honor. He would never flip someone off like that.

Landon Savage: Well, I think one thing’s for sure, X is getting inside the head of John Thomas.

X motions, “C’mon!” to John Thomas and backs up to the left corner of the ring, allowing John Thomas to comfortably slide back into the ring. Quickly getting to his feet, Thomas starts sizing up X-Calibur, who approaches Thomas with a now serious look on his face. Both men circle each other for a few moments, before they lock horns with a collar and elbow tie-up.

With X being the heavier and much stronger of the two competitors, he quickly gains the advantage in the tie-up. Digging his feet into the mat, X easily pushes Thomas all the way back against the ropes, where Porter initiates the count to break it up. Smothering JT like a dominant male lion would, X breaks finally breaks the tie-up at four. Just as X backs up, JT sprints forward and slips behind with a waist lock. X tries to pry apart JT’s fingers from his waist, looking for an escape, but JT locks his right foot around X’s right foot, falls back, and trips X-Calibur down to the mat with a skillfully completed roll-up. Porter’s there for the count, and JT digs his feet into the mat, using all of his body weight to hold down the X-Man.

One!

Two!!

X nimbly rolls backwards from the pinning position, causing JT to roll forward face first on the mat. With his left leg exposed and JT momentarily face down from being tripped up in X’s backwards roll, X grabs his leg while getting to his feet. Locking Thomas’s knee underneath his arm, X lifts up on Thomas’ knee. JT’s body goes completely vertical in the air, and then X drops to one knee, smashing JT’s knee across his own as if he were trying to dislocate it.

Mark Perletta: He might’ve hyper-extended John’s knee there with that innovative looking Knee-DDT.

Joey C: This just cements what John said earlier in the week. X cares more about putting his opponents in the hospital than he does simply beating them in a match.

Landon Savage: Well, X DOES have that modified Texas Cloverleaf submission maneuver he likes to go for every once in a rare while.

JT rolls around in agony, as the damage from the knee smasher takes effect. X seizes this opportunity to start working on the injured limb of Thomas, by dropping some quick and deliberate elbows to the knee.

Landon Savage: I have to say, I am surprised by X’s offense thus far in the match. He’s been very focused on taking it to John in technical fashion.

Mark Perletta: Most people have this preconceived notion that X is all about brawling. While it’s true that he loves to brawl, it’s also true that X loves to give a good technical match.

Joey C: In the end, none of that will matter, because JT will endure it all en route to victory.

X grabs JT’s leg and yanks hard on it, pulling JT more towards the center again. JT yells out in agony, as X yanks on the leg, almost trying to pull his knee out of place. Then, as X bends down to pick up JT’s other leg, JT catches X by the head, and rolls him down to the mat in a small package!

One!

Two!!

Once again, X kicks out!

X barely manages to escape the surprise pin attempt in time, as quickly gets to his feet when quickly gets to his, and quickly DROPS to the mat again with a dropkick square to X’s nuts! X-Calibur goes down like a sack of door knobs, holding his boys, and the fans boo Thomas mercilessly.

Joey C: Yes! Smart move, John! This is the break you needed!

Mark Perletta: I’m not so sure that doesn’t warrant a disqualification, guys.

Landon Savage: I don’t know about that. It looked like he hit him in abdomen.

While Klinton Porter heavily admonishes John Thomas for the obvious low blow, X goes into a fetal position on the mat, having the wind sucked out of him by that low blow. Thomas insists he hit him in the bread basket though, as he limps around the ring for a moment.

Back on the attack, JT grabs X by the head and slowly brings him to his feet. Grabbing X by the wrist, who is barely able to stand after the effects of that low blow, JT slowly and purposefully lifts X’s arm into the air, and then twists it. X almost goes down to one knee, when JT locks in the standing bar, pulling upwards on it, making sure that X doesn’t go down to the mat. Thomas heavily favoring the left leg from X’s earlier attack on it, he goes behind X, turning the standing armbar into a hammerlock.

X looks for an escape, still reeling from the low blow dropkick, but Thomas applies the move deeply, occasionally pulling on X’s hair from behind for more of an advantage.

Mark Perletta: Now it looks like Thomas is doing the work on a body part. Probably going for that Crossface Chicken Wing he’s become so adept at using.

Joey C: Thank God. A return to the norm.

From the hammerlock position, John reaches down with his free arm and grabs X’s leg. Then, in one swift motion, Thomas lifts X up and slams him with a hammerlock back suplex!

Mark Perletta: Thomas really working over the arm here, sending X’s body weight down on his arm and shoulder.

With X down on the ground and his arm twisted behind his body, Thomas drops to his knees beside him. Going for a lateral cover, Thomas also locks in a keylock on X’s injured arm, contorting the shoulder while it lies on the mat for Porter to count.

One!

Two!!

X manages to get his other shoulder up, but Thomas pushes down with his body weight, cinching in the keylock even deeper.

One!

Two!!

Again, X gets his free shoulder up off the mat, but Thomas continues to apply the pressure with the keylock. In between making the counts, Porter remains by X’s side, asking if he wishes to submit. Loudly refusing, Thomas goes dead weight and pushes hard into X’s body from the lateral position.

One!

Two!!

X gets his shoulder up again, and Thomas starts yelling at X to give it up.

Mark Perletta: X is in danger here, folks. While I don’t think he will ever give up, Thomas has him in a predicament where getting the pin could come easily.

Joey C: What do you mean you don’t think X will give it up? Guy’s not Superman, you know.

Landon Savage: To my recollection, X has never lost a match by giving up... but I guess there’s a first time for everything.

One!

Two!!

The crowd on their feet, watching microscopically at both competitors in the ring and on the verge of the bell ringing. Thomas literally screaming at X to quit, and X continuously refusing.

One!

Two!!

John Thomas: “ Give it up X!”

X-Calibur: “NEVER!!!!!”

The crowd starts clapping, “Let’s go X! Let’s go X!” Let’s go X!”

One!

Two!!

Crowd: “Let’s go X! Let’s go X! Let’s go X!”

John Thomas: “Give it up you BITCH!”

X-Calibur: “F–K YOU, MOTHERF–KER!”

Then, abruptly from the audible exchange of words, X pushes both feet off of the mat, and connects HARD with a knee to Thomas’s temple! Thomas crumples over, releasing the keylock, and the crowd goes absolutely insane!

Mark Perletta: Wow! That smack of knee on skull echoed through out this arena!

Joey C: Ref! Ref! Ref!

Mark Perletta: Ref what?! That was a clean knee shot! X had no choice!

Landon Savage: Guys! Bigger picture?! This match is intense.

X’s arm seemingly hangs off his shoulder, as he lies back first to the mat. With both me on the canvas, Porter initiates the count for the double knock out. But after only the first count, X crawls over to Thomas’ unmoving body, rolls him over, and makes a lateral cover while holding his own shoulder in pain.

ONE!!!

Mark Perletta: Thomas is OUT!

TWO!!!

Joey C: Kick out!!!

THR- Thomas kicks out!

The crowd immediately starts booing, as they thought this match was over.

Landon Savage: Barely!

Mark Perletta: I believe this is the first time we’ve seen X do ANYTHING since Thomas nailed him with that devastating low blow.

Joey C: Hit him again, JT!

X starts getting to his feet, as Thomas groggily searches for something to hold onto on his stomach. X leans back into the ropes, and looks around at the people standing on their feet from this technically superb match-up. With the crowd in a fervor, X stares a death glare through John Thomas as he crawls towards the ropes on the mat. Using the second rope, Thomas gets to his feet. But as soon as Thomas lets go of the ropes and stumbles back, X clinches Thomas with a half-nelson, lifts, and sends him straight down on the back of his head with a release half-nelson suplex!

Mark Perletta: He folded him like an accordion!

Landon Savage: Thomas is out!

Joey C: Nooooo!!! Upon the landing, X holds his shoulder in absolute pain, as the arena deafens. Sitting up, X holds his arm, looking out at everyone watching the match.

X turns around and covers Thomas, hooking a leg in the process. The fans count along...

ONE!!!

TWO!!!

THR- NO!!!

Mark Perletta: How?!

Joey C: He’s The Durable One!!

Not wasting any time, X gets off of the mat and grabs Thomas’ left leg. Hooking it under his arm again, X rigorously turns Thomas over onto his stomach with a half-crab! Thomas screams out in agony, as X pulls back on the leg with great pressure. Porter is right there, asking Thomas if he wants to throw in the towel, but Thomas refuses. X punches the ball of Thomas’ bad knee a few times, and Thomas desperately reaches for anything to grab. Thomas sees the bottom rope in front of him, but its too far away. He starts digging both fists into the mat, and starts pulling his and X’s weight towards the bottom rope.

Joey C: Come on JT! You can do it!!

Thomas reaches out...

Landon Savage: He’s got the r-

But X-Calibur pulls Thomas away from the ropes and into the middle of the ring!

Mark Perletta: No! He didn’t make it!

Joey C: Damn it!

Thomas raises a hand like he’s going to tap, but turns it into a fist, not wanting to. Thomas lowers it to the mat some, like he’s going to tap, but then reaches behind him and grabs X’s foot. Going for the reversal, he grabs X’s foot, trying to trip him up... but X stands up, lets go of Thomas’ leg, turns around, picks it up again, falls FORWARD onto Thomas’ back, and wraps both hands around Thomas jaw and pulls back with an STF!!

Mark Perletta: X breaking out the submission moves tonight, folks! And John Thomas is in TROUBLE!

Landon Savage: I don’t think JT expected this... I think he went in, expected a bar brawler, and what he got instead was a world class technician.

Joey C: Come on John! Don’t give it up now!!

Pulling back hard on the maneuver, JT unleashes a few elbows into X’s side that have little to no effect. In a desperate situation, John shakes his head a little bit, and manages to bite the flesh of the X-Man. Yelling out, while blood trickles down his forearm, X turns the move into a different perspective by rolling over on his back, with Thomas facing the heavens in a reverse belly-up STF!

Crowd: “This is awesome! *clap clap clap* This is awesome!”

Thomas screams out, still biting down onto X’s forearm, blood forming around his mouth and X’s forearm.

Mark Perletta: Now his own leg is being drilled up his own spine, and he has nowhere to go!

Just then, Porter sees that X’s own shoulders are down on the mat, and he makes the count.

ONE!!!

Mark Perletta: I don’t think X realizes he’s being pinned!!!

TWO!!!

THR- NO! X releases the hold and gets a shoulder up off of the mat.

Both men lie on the mat, motionless, their bodies taking a huge toll as the match continues on. Porter makes the double knock out count, and the crowd continues to rally behind X.

One!

Two!

Three!

X starts stirring off the mat, and climbs towards the ropes as Thomas begins getting to his knees.

Four!

Five!

Six!

At the count of six, X is up off the mat, and Thomas is on his feet. Heavily favoring the completely weakened knee that X has had in a submission hold for the past several minutes, Thomas hobbles as he turns around. Locking eyes for a moment, Thomas lunges with a desperation clothesline. X ducks it without much effort, and as Thomas turns around, X scoops him up and slams him to the mat with a body slam.

Landon Savage: It doesn’t get anymore basic than that, folks.

Mark Perletta: I believe X is going for his patented flying elbow drop that he’s named the Hang Time Elbow, over the years.

Pointing to the heavens and looking out at the crowd, X shouts something audible.

X-Calibur: HAAAAAAAAAAAAANG TIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!!

Landon Savage: Looks like you’re right, Mark.

Joey C: Damn it, Marky! Being all X’s number one fan... makes me sick.

Mark Perletta: Sorry. I guess I do my homework on LEGACY’s roster a little too well, I guess.

X climbs to the outside, and begins his ascension to the top turnbuckle. Once on the top, he olds the ropes for balance and looks out at the crowd. Then, standing straight up and steady as can be, X leaps off the top rope... and connects square in Thomas’ chest!!!

But suddenly, X is rolling around on the mat in horrific pain, as the landing surely added more injury to his already injured shoulder.

Joey C: BIG mistake, X. You don’t go for a move that utilizes the full strength of your arm and shoulder when you don’t HAVE full strength of your arm and shoulder.

Mark Perletta: As much as I hate to say it, you’re right Joey.

Landon Savage: True that. Look at Mr. Wrestling 101 over here...

After a few minutes of simply laying there in pain, and Porter asking X if he wants him to stop it, X begins to stir and make his way over to John Thomas. But by the time he does, Thomas is already on his knees, recuperating from the Hang Time Elbow.

Mark Perletta: Bad break there for X, he might’ve won this thing had he hooked the leg... he’s beaten many big names using that trademark of his.

With X closing in on his opponent, Thomas grabs the tights on X’s mid-waist, and shoves him backwards, nailing referee Clinton Porter with an accidental elbow! Momentarily looking towards Porter after realizing what he did, X looks back at Thomas, who already snuck through the window of opportunity, and NAILS X with a meat hooking low blow. X falls back to the mat again, in the same position he was in before when Thomas nailed the dropkick low blow.

Mark Perletta: Oh come ON! Again?!?

Joey C: I love it!

Landon Savage: Had the referee seen that one, I think we would’ve definitely had a disqualification on our hands then..

Groggily, and angrily, getting to his feet, Thomas holds himself steady against the turnbuckle. Looking back at X-Calibur who’s once again holding himself in the privates, Thomas begins an ascension of his own, and climbs to the second turnbuckle. Porter meanwhile shakes the cobwebs, and focused back on the match, noticing X-Calibur’s prone position on the mat. Making it to the top turnbuckle, Thomas throws caution to the wind and LEAPS back with a picture perfect moonsault... and connects!

Mark Perletta: Not Your Average Moonsault!

Landon & Joey: ABOVE AVERAGE MOONSAULT!

Mark Perletta: Right.

Hooking BOTH legs right away, John Thomas holds X deep in the pin as Porter drops down and makes his count.

ONE!!!!

Joey C: This is it!!!!

TWO!!!!

Joey C: THIS IS IT!!!

THR- NO!!!

Joey C: DAMN IT!!!! HOW?!

Mark Perletta: These men are made of something otherworldly tonight, folks!

Landon Savage: Both guys want this match like they’ve never wanted a match before... you can just FEEL it.

Crowd: This is awesome! *clap clap clap* This is awesome!

X is still down on the mat while Thomas is up, limping and holding his mid-section from the high impact landing. Thomas signals something to the crowd, and some of the fans start booing, while some of them are still chanting, “This is awesome!”

Joey C: Hope you boys are hungry for chicken tonight.

Landon Savage: I could go for a wing, myself.

Mark Perletta: You guys are lame.

Thomas starts lifting X to his feet, when all of a sudden, X wraps both arms around Thomas’ neck!

Mark Perletta: X-Terminator!!!

Joey C: No!!!!

Just before X could drop with the X-Terminator out of nowhere, Thomas slips out with a go-behind, and locks in the chicken wing crossface!

Joey C: CHICKEN WING!

Mark Perletta: It could be over here!

X’s shoulder is contorted from the insane amount of pressure Thomas is applying to it, but X refuses to tap. Thomas tries to trip X up with a takedown, but all of a sudden, X pulls away Thomas’ hand, slips out, and reverses with a go-behind hammerlock! X releases the arm, turns around Thomas, and warps both arms around Thomas’ neck again!

Mark Perletta: X-Terminator!

Joey C: NO!!!

Thomas counters the maneuver AGAIN, by pushing X-Calibur off into the ropes! Before X can turn around, Thomas slips in behind him with a roll-up!

ONE!!!

Thomas puts both feet on the middle rope, hoping Porter doesn’t see it...

TWO!!!

Mark Perletta: HE’S GOT THE ROPES!!!

THREE!!!

Mark Parletta: I don’t believe it!!!!

Joey C: BELIEVE IT, MY BROTHERS!!! JOHN HAS DONE IT!!!

Josephina Colbert: The winner of this match via pinfall... JOOOOOOOOHN.... THOOOOOOOMAAAAAAS!!!!!!

In complete shock, the fans start booing John mercilessly, like they’ve never booed before. Thomas is already up on his feet, holding both arms up in victory, as X sits up, in complete shock over what just happened.

Mark Perletta: He used the ropes, but Porter didn’t see it!

Landon Savage: Wow, John sneaks a victory out from X-Calibur in one HELL of a match-up!!!

Joey C: Bravo, JT!!! Bravo!!!! Take that world title!!! It’s yours!!!

Up from the mat with a livid look on his face, X confronts Porter about Thomas using the ropes for the win, grabbing him by the collar and getting completely in his face. Some of the fans are even chanting “bullshit”, as X continues to argue with Porter. Porter, however, still maintains the fact that he didn’t see Thomas’ feet on the ropes and allows the ruling to stand. X lets go of Porter and paces back and forth in the middle of the ring for a moment, looking out at the arena of fans standing with him in complete disbelief.

Meanwhile, “Hey Man Nice Shot” plays loudly over the public announce system as Thomas walks up the aisle with his arms raised in victory. Suddenly, the fans all come out of their funk, and applaud both men from the outstanding match they just put on.

The Lights. The Insanity.

A guitar effect that sounds like very much like a helicopter's rotors... gives way to the wicked riff of the White Stripes, "Blue Orchid". On the screen we see Dan Stein standing in the ring. We wipe away to Loco Martinez sunbathing outside an arena.

"You got a reaction
You got a reaction, didn't you?"

Loco walking out on a match. He backs up slowly, wanting no part of wrestling

"You took a white orchid
You took a white orchid turned it blue"

Loco sitting in Rob Belote's office. Rob reprimanding, Loco. Loco looking bored, and annoyed.

"Something better than nothing
Something better than nothing, it's giving up"

Stein standing in the ring... circling his opponent.

"We all need to do something
Try to keep the truth from showing up"

Stein talking to Rob Belote, the night he set forth in trying to get Loco Martinez into a match.

"How dare you
How old are you now, anyway?"

Loco walking the streets of Philadelphia... avoiding the hell out of the Legacy cameras.

"How dare you
How old are you now, anyway?"

Stein hounding Loco. In the diner. Walking through the halls of Loco's apartment building.

"You're given a flower
But I guess there's just no pleasing you"

A shot of Stein as the Tao of Valor champion, coming to the ring for his title defense against Strong Style Dragon.

"Your lip tastes sour
But you think that it's just me teasing you"

Loco Martinez hops the barricade during that match. We see the crowd, furious at the interference.

"You got a reaction
You got a reaction, didn't you?"

LOCapitator on Dan Stein!! Dragon with the cover. One! Two! Three! Loco celebrates on the outside.

"You took a white orchid
You took a white orchid turned it blue"

Loco going for another LOCapitator, this time in the tag match from Strife... Stein moves. Loco levels Rawlings. Stein tackles Loco out of the ring. We cut to those two brawling outside the ring. Fists flying furiously.

"Get behind me
Get behind me now, anyway"

Stein perched on the top rope.

"Get behind me
Get behind me now, anyway"

Stein launches off the top rope nailing the "Lights Out" on Crazy Boy.

"You got a reaction
You got a reaction, didn't you?"

Loco jumps off the top rope, splits his legs and bounces off the top corner ropes into Happiness.

"You took a white orchid
You took a white orchid turned it blue"

Stein drags Loco and puts him on top of Crazy Boy. ONE! TWO! THREE!

And as the music fades back to that helicopter sounding effect... we see Dan Stein backing up ramp... Loco laying on the mat. He looks up, and Stein mouths, "I told you so"... and we snap to black.

Loco Martinez vs Dan Stein

Josephina Colbert: The following grudge match is scheduled for ONE Fall!!

The excitement level across the arena picks up as the fans stand awaiting the entrance of the first competitor.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing first, from… Cedar Rapids, Iowa…

The lights go out and then pyro explodes, gold lights flash through the arena as White Zombie's "More Human than Human" rocks the arena.

Josephina Colbert: Weighing 215 pounds. Here is. DAN... "THE LIGHTS" .... STEIN!!!

Stein explodes from the back.

Mark Perletta: Dan Stein looking incredibly focused as he gets to the ring.

Landon Savage: He absolutely is, Mark. This is a match months in the making. Stein has coaxed Loco Martinez back in the ring. Now its time to face off.

Joey C: Yeah. But Steiny-boy better watch what he asks for... he's about to get it!

Stein hits the ring and loosens up on the ropes. The crowd cheers as Stein throws his arms out to the side and bobs his head to the music. As the music fades away... We begin to hear the murmuring of the crowd.

Mark Perletta: And now we see...

Joey C: See what?

Mark Perletta: If Loco Martinez is ACTUALLY going to wrestle. If he's made the strides... if he's actually rediscovered the competitive edge he lost so many months ago.

Landon Savage: We have certainly seen a different Loco Martinez the last few weeks leading up to this bout. So one could say he has changed, but the question is... was it for the better?

Joey C: Skeptics! We're about to see THE NEW Loco Martinez. THE Legacy Superstar. He's coming out focused. You just wait and see.

Mark Perletta: Looks like we're about to see...

We cut to Josephina Colbert inside the ring.

Josephina Colbert: And... his opponent.... FROM Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The lights drop out, and on the Legacy-tron we see the words... "THE LEGACY SUPERSTAR". They melt away and gold pyro begins to cascade from the ceiling. The bass opening of The Von Bondies, "C'mon C'mon" begins, the crowd raises up and BOOs mercilessly.

Josephina Colbert: Here. IS... LOCO MARTINEZ!!

More boos.... but oddly? No Loco. There's an awkward moment. Colbert looks confused. The crowd, still booing, also begins to look around confused.

Mark Perletta: I'm not surprised... one-

Perletta trails off as Loco Martinez meekly steps out onto the ramp and through the pyro. We approach him, and he looks incredibly nervous as he walks to the ring.

Landon Savage: This is the new Loco... just like the old Loco.

Loco looks out over the crowd half of which are booing. The other half looking on worried... as Loco continues to walk, and begins shaking his head.

Loco Martinez: I-I-I... I can't. I'm sorry. I can't do this.

Loco has worked his way to around 3 feet from the ring. He is still shaking his head, but his whole body begins to quake nervously.

Mark Perletta: Is he having a nervous breakdown? His history of losses in pay per view matches is well documented, and you’d have to wonder if that’s running through his mind right now.

Joey C: C'mon Loco! You can do it.

Landon Savage: As much as I hate what I've seen from him the last few weeks I can't help but empathize with Loco and his struggles right now.

Loco just stares there and continues to shake... we zoom on his face, tight. We see tears forming in each eye.

In the ring Stein has worked himself to the edge of the ring looking down at Loco with growing concern. The ref also looks on, with some concern, but also with confusion as what he's supposed to do. Loco looks up at Stein.

Loco Martinez: I'm sorry, Danny. I can't. I-I-I just can't.

Loco begins to back up the ramp slowly, and the crowd snaps out of their confusion and begin to boo deafeningly. Loco just shakes his head and continues to back up slowly. Stein looking worried about his friend, and a little annoyed slides out of the ring. The crowd pops thinking Dan's about to drag Loco to the ring.

Dan Stein: Loco! C'mon man. You can DO THIS!

Stein approaches Loco. Loco stops. Takes a deep breath trying to calm himself.

Dan Stein: Good. C'mon man. WE can do this. Let me help you.

Loco nods, shaking a little less, and half smiles. Stein gets close and Loco launches himself driving a stiff drop kick into Stein's left knee. Stein falls hard face first onto the metal ramp. The Crowd is FURIOUS!!

Mark Perletta: Are you kidding me?!

Loco laughs as he grabs Stein's ankle... lifts up his leg and smashes the same knee on the ramp. Picks it up again... SMASH! One more time... SMASH!

Mark Perletta: Sonuva bitch!

Joey C: Haha! Told you it was a new Loco. Go get 'em Loc'! Teach that pretty boy a lesson!

Landon Savage: Blame Dan Stein, he fell for it!

Loco turns to the crowd who are blind with rage. He smiles, shrugs, as if to say, "What did I do?"

Mark Perletta: He set us all up. Played Dan Stein... a man who just wanted to HELP him, and now is taking advantage... and the match hasn't even started yet!

Loco stomps on the back of Stein's knee a few times. Stein writhing in pain. Loco picks him up and drags Stein towards the ring. After a few steps, Stein's knee gives out.

Loco turns and looks down at him with contempt, before giving a false smile...

Loco Martinez: C'mon, "BUDDY", let ME help YOU. WE can do this together!

Loco laughs as he violently scoops Stein up and whips him into the ring apron with force. Loco rolls Stein into the ring, and cockily slingshots himself over the top rope, landing with arms outstretched. A proud smile on his face. The crowd lays into him, "BOOOOOOOOO"... that melts away as a chant kicks up... "LETS GO STEIN! LETS GO STEIN!" Loco frowns at this and turns towards Dan Stein as the bell rings.

Landon Savage: Loco'll be looking to focus on that knee that he's already punished.

Loco quickly grabs Stein's leg and locks in a single leg crab. Stein yells in pain. Loco leans back really laying his weight into the move.

Mark Perletta: Loco really leaning back. Yeah... big man, cheap shotting Stein and then capatilizing on it.

Stein squirms his way to the ropes and grabs the bottom rope. The ref begins his five count... Loco holds on until the ref his four, and then lets go throwing the leg to the mat violently. Loco walks to the middle of the ring. He points to his head extolling the virtues of his intellegence. He smirks and then whirls around getting ready to pounce. Stein has worked his way to his feet. Testing to see how much weight he can put on that leg. Each time he tries to put weight on it he winces.

Loco smells blood and lunges looking for another low dropkick into that knee. Stein, quickly lifts the leg, spins and brings his other knee crashing down on Loco's chest. He then begins burying rights and lefts into Loco's skull. The crowd roars, as Dan piston's his fists, Loco attempting to cover up, to no success.

Mark Perletta: GET HIM DAN!

Joey C: What about impartiality?!

Mark Perletta: You know what? When he played us, the fans, and more importantly the man that was trying to help him?! I say whatever Stein does to Loco... Loco damn well deserves.

Stein still pummelling Loco. Stands up and delivers a gorgeous, and essentially one legged, standing moonsault. He hooks a leg.

One...

Two-- Loco shoulders out at two. Stein gets to his feet, dragging Loco with him. Whips Loco into the ropes and delivers a nice spinning back elbow on Loco. Follows that up with two boots and heads to the "high rent district"

Mark Perletta: These two shared Sky High One and Two... and it looks like Stein's about to utilize that experience... right... NOW!

Stein launches himself off the top rope and nails a frog splash on Loco. Covers...

One...

Two...

Th-NO!

Landon Savage: Nice move. Loco shows us some of that resilience he's known for. Stein jumps up, bringing Loco with him. Stein doesn’t waste any time, trying not too put too much weight on his leg. He ducks his head in under Loco’s arm, wrapping his arms around Loco’s waist… Northern Lights Suplex.... with a bridge.

One...

two...

thr-NO!

Joey C: Maybe if that leg had held up he could’ve held a bit more force in that bridge, but no dice!

Mark Perletta: Stein gaining momentum and getting near fall after near fall... and Listen to this crowd!

The crowd is rocking the arena... "LETS GO STEIN!!! LETS GO STEIN!!! LETSS GO STEIN!!!"

Stein smiles out over the crowd and points to the corner. He screams:

Dan Stein: LIGHTS!!

CROWD: OUT!!!!!!!

Stein hops up to the top rope as Loco, wobbly, gets to his feet.

Mark Perletta: Stein's measuring Loco for the "Lights Out".

Joey C: Ya THINK, Marky?! Maybe cuz he played a little call and answer with the plebs.

Loco stumbles to his right a few steps, but then dashes forward catching Stein by surprise. Jumps up on the middle rope, and delivers a modified super kick up into that bad leg of Stein. Stein crumples crotching himself on the top rope. The crowd "oohs" in sympathy, and then boos as Loco viciously pounds on the wounded leg, and places it inside the ropes, leaving the other leg outside. Loco then, in a mocking fashion, points to the turnbuckle. He then pops himself up and delivers a split legged moonsault, instead of just landing on ropes, he lands on the wounded leg.

Stein screams in pain as Loco lands in the middle of the ring, completing the split legged moonsault landing on no one, but doing exactly what he wanted to Dan Stein. Loco holding his ribs slightly gets up, and again heads to the corner. He jumps up again, this time going for a top rope hurrancanrana...

Mark Perletta: BLOCKED!!

Stein blocks it and in one move brings his good leg over the top rope, inside and launches himself pushing off the second turnbuckle with a top rope powerbomb on Loco!!!

He crawls to make the cover...

One...

Two...

THRE-NO!!!

Loco drapes a foot on the bottom rope.

Mark Perletta: BARELY.

Joey C: Its called ring awareness. You need it to be successful.

Stein makes another cover.

One...

Two...

THR-NO! Loco shoulders out this time.

Stein turns and heads to the corner. He leaps up in one motion... Split Legged Moonsault.

Landon Savage: Looking to give Loco a little dose of "Happiness"…

Loco gets his knees up driving them into Stein's rib cage.

Both men down, and ref begins a double count.

One...

two....

three...

Both men stir…

four...

Loco to his knees…

five...

Loco to his feet…

Stein to his knees…

six...

Loco turns and drives the bottom of his boots into Stein's face. Stein snaps back, hyperextending his knee in the process.

Loco smirks, getting back up. He looks to the corner and hops to the top rope, looking behind him.

Joey C: Loco looking to get "Warm and Fuzzy".

Stein slowly gets up, slightly disoriented, and Loco launches with a moonsault grabbing Stein on the way down and delivering a crushing reverse DDT!

Joey C: THAT'S! THE BALLGAME!

Loco covers.

One...

two...

THREE-NO!NO!NO!

Mark Perletta: Dan Stein Kicked out! He kicked out of "That Warm Fuzzy Feeling"! I can't believe it.

The crowd roars, urging Dan Stein on. "GO STEIN GO! GO STEIN GO!" Loco just looks dumbfounded. He makes another cover.

One..

two...

thr-NO! Stein kicks out again!

Loco's furious. He slaps the mat, pissed off. He gets up and takes the toe of his boot and BURIES in Stein's temple. Covers again...

One...

Two..

TH-no! Stein out again.

Landon Savage: Stein's still got fight left... and we might be in line to witness a Loco Martinez, Pay Per View meltdown.

Loco gets up and throws Stein into the corner, he slides out of the ring, and pulls Stein HARD into the corner, crotching him on the ring post. The crowd boos, but Loco shrugs them off, still holding his legs. He puts his legs in "figure four" position and falls back to the ground locking in a "Ring Post Figure Four"

Stein writhes in pain as the ref begins the count to break the hold. Loco breaks at 4... waits a moment and immediately puts the ring post figure four back on Stein.

Mark Perletta: So here he goes, cheating again. A move that isn't legal, but focusing on that wounded knee... which he ALSO did illegally.

Joey C: Your point, Mark?

Mark Perletta: He's taking shortcuts. He's ignoring the rules.

Joey C: He's also taking care of business, and if that leads to Loco’s first win on a LEGACY Pay Per View, then it’s all worth it!

Again the ref adminsters the five count, and Loco lets go at four. Stein lays, in pain as Loco jumps up to the apron, jumps to the top rope, and drops down.

Landon Savage: HAPPINESS!

Loco connects with his split legged moonsault. He covers Stein hooking both legs...

One....

Two....

THREE!!

Loco hops up triumphantly, the crowd livid. He demands the ref raise his hand.

Josephina Colbert: The winner of the match… LLLLLOOCOOO MARRRTIIIINEEEZZZZ!!!

Loco, winded, and holding his neck, throws his hands up in the air as some trash begins to be flung into the ring. He sneers out over the crowd, and then turns to Stein who's stirring and getting to his feet.

Loco Martinez: I told you to watch what you wish for.

And with that Loco drops and rolls out of the ring. He walks to the back, as Stein follows, limping, but refusing the ref's attempts at help. As he the crowd gives him a strong round of applause, he smiles and nods and heads to the back.

Joey C: An absolutely brilliant match by Loco Martinez, and his losing streak in big matches is over here tonight!

Mark Perletta: With this new attitude Loco's got, he might start a streak of winning the big matches, which could be dangerous for the rest of the roster.
