As anticipated,\u00a0Week 1 made for an excellent night of street hockey!\u00a0 The Misfits looked sharp out of the gates, defeating Book Hockey by a score of 4-0.\u00a0 John Coppolino led The Misfits in scoring with a pair of goals.\u00a0\u00a0The newly formed team “Dynamo” were\u00a0victorious in their first game,\u00a0picking up a 5-3 win over Oldballs.\u00a0 Dynamo forward John Hines scored 3 goals,\u00a0including the\u00a0game winner.\u00a0 The last game of the evening was a\u00a0close one between Ovenchicken and the Leeesburg Lowercases.\u00a0\u00a0The Lowercases had the edge early,\u00a0with\u00a0goals from Eric King and Keith Cross.\u00a0\u00a0Lowercases took a 2-1 lead into the second half, but Ovenchicken\u00a0rallied,\u00a0with\u00a0a goal from Brian Kurutz\u00a0and a hat trick by Chris Wilkinson.\u00a0 The final score was Ovenchicken: 5, Lowercases: 4.\u00a0 We’ll see everyone next week!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
