Tonight we had two extremely close and exciting games! \u00a0Ovenchicken and The Misfits faced off first. \u00a0It seemed like Ovenchicken had things under control, holding onto a 3 goal lead, late in the second half. \u00a0Then The Misfits battled back with unanswered goals from John Coppolino and Chris Rhodes. \u00a0Coppolino would strike again in the final minute of the game, sending it to OT. \u00a0After a scoreless overtime period, The Misfits picked up their first win of the season via the shootout, on goals from Chris Rhodes and Greg White. \u00a0The final score was Misfits: 5, Ovenchicken: 4. \u00a0The second game of the night also came down the final seconds. \u00a0The Hawks had a 4-3 lead over \u00a0Book Hockey, with under two minutes left. \u00a0Book Hockey’s goaltender, Julian Doan came to the bench and Ryan Ayoub scored to tie the game. \u00a0We thought we might see the second overtime of the night, but Ryan Ayoub would strike again with less than 18 seconds left in the game. \u00a0That sealed the deal on Book Hockey’s huge comeback, and they picked up the 5-4 victory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
