We were finally able to play some hockey! \u00a0The Hawks looked sharp in their first game of the season, picking up a 2-1 win against Ovenchicken. \u00a0James Reed only allowed one goal, and both Shahbaz Ahmed and Gregg Trawinski scored for the Hawks. \u00a0Mark Koss scored a second half goal for Ovenchicken, to get the game within one, but the Hawks were able to hold them off. \u00a0In the late game, the Leesburg Lowercases defeated The Misfits by a score of 4-2. \u00a0Eric King had a standout performance, scoring two goals in his team’s victory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
