The first week of the 2017 Spring Season is in the books, and we were treated to two extremely close games. \u00a0Tied with 3 goals each, Book Hockey and The Misfits needed OT to decide the winner. \u00a0With just over a minute left in the extra period, Julian Doan would seal the victory for Book Hockey, scoring a sweet wrap-around goal. \u00a0Book Hockey’s CJ Schoenherr also had a standout performance, recording 3 goals. \u00a0The final score was Book Hockey: 4, Misfits: 3. \u00a0Next up, Ovenchicken defeated the Leesburg Lowercases by a score of 6-5. \u00a0The Lowercases rallied late in the second period with a goal from Bryan Oullette, but goals from Chris Cooper and Nick Dornbusch thwarted the comeback.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
