The first game of the evening was a rematch of last season’s championship game – Ovenchicken versus Book Hockey. \u00a0Book Hockey jumped out to an early lead, with a deflection goal by Ryan Mottram. \u00a0John Beltrane would tie the game for Ovenchicken, just before the first half came to a close. \u00a0The second half was all Ovenchicken. \u00a0Captain Brandon Gauthier scored a natural hat trick, and Ovenchicken picked up the 4-1 win. \u00a0The Misfits also bounced back with a convincing 7-0 victory over the Hitmen. \u00a0John Coppolino and Steve Tippett each had a pair of goals. \u00a0Danny Mastromichalis recorded the shutout. \u00a0The Hawks and Lowercases faced off in the last game of the night, and it came down the final minutes of regulation. \u00a0With the score tied 2-2, a late goal from Eric King gave the Lowercases the lead and win. \u00a0The final score was Lowercases: 3, Hawks: 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
