Week 2 saw the return of the Hawks, and they were victorious in their comeback. They held on for a 2-1 win against The Misfits. Neil Arey had the game winning goal, and James Reed was stellar in his Hawks net-minding debut. Book Hockey picked up their first win in franchise history, as they defeated the Leesburg Lowercases by a score of 6-5. Newly acquired forward, Will Cunningham led Book Hockey with 4 goals. The last game of the night was another close tilt between the Punishers and Ovenchicken. Matt McCarthy was able to get the Punishers within 1 goal of tying the game, but Shaun Kennedy’s late second half goal would hold up as the game winner for Ovenchicken. The final score was Ovenchicken: 3, Punishers: 2.
