Loudoun Street Hockey League

Ovenchicken and the Leesburg Lowercases faced off in an extremely exciting game to start the night.  Down by 2 goals and late in the game, Lowercase forwards Dan Wendling and Keith Cross both chipped in goals to send the contest to OT.  Scoreless after overtime, the two teams headed to the season’s first shootout.  Nick Dornbusch was the only player to convert his attempt, winning the game for Ovenchicken.  The final score was Lowercases: 6, Ovenchicken: 7.  The Hawks were also victorious, defeating the Hitmen by a score of 5-2.  Shahbaz Ahmed and Jordan Kunzler each had a pair of goals for the Hawks.  In the last game of the night, Book Hockey continued their point streak, with a 4-1 win over The Misfits.  CJ Schoenherr had another standout performance with 2 goals and 1 assist.
