Loudoun Street Hockey League

The first game of the evening was a rematch of last season’s championship game – Ovenchicken versus Book Hockey.  Book Hockey jumped out to an early lead, with a deflection goal by Ryan Mottram.  John Beltrane would tie the game for Ovenchicken, just before the first half came to a close.  The second half was all Ovenchicken.  Captain Brandon Gauthier scored a natural hat trick, and Ovenchicken picked up the 4-1 win.  The Misfits also bounced back with a convincing 7-0 victory over the Hitmen.  John Coppolino and Steve Tippett each had a pair of goals.  Danny Mastromichalis recorded the shutout.  The Hawks and Lowercases faced off in the last game of the night, and it came down the final minutes of regulation.  With the score tied 2-2, a late goal from Eric King gave the Lowercases the lead and win.  The final score was Lowercases: 3, Hawks: 2.
