In our first game of the night, the Misfits came away with 3-0 win over the Hawks, to stay atop the standings. John Coppolino had a standout performance for the Misfits with 2 goals and an assist. Rob Stark earned the shutout in goal. Next up was the Leesburg Lowercases and Book Hockey. After a fairly tight first half, the Lowercases turned on the gas in the second, scoring 5 unanswered goals. Captain Keith Cross led his team with 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists). Lastly, Ovenchicken defeated the Hitmen by a score of 7-0. Both Mike Dwyer and Dave Newbold had a pair of goals for Ovenchicken, and Chris Cooper picked up the shutout.
