Weekend Starting Pre-Show
9 . 25 . 2009

The opening video fades in on a shot of the LEGACY World Championship belt. Zooming out, we see X-Calibur's face, glaring into the camera. We then zoom way in on part of X-Calibur's all-black shirt.

We find ourselves now looking at the New York City skyline at night for a moment, then we zoom way in on one of the bright lights in one of the windows.

Zooming out, Issac Entragian and his evil smirk appear as he fixes his all-white necktie. After a flicker of Issac's forked tongue, the camera dips backwards and loses itself into the all black background.

One after another, other members of the LEGACY roster appear on camera.

The Tao of Valor Champion Laura Seton, with the championship belt around her waist and her sister at her side.

Justin Moreno, his fists clenched at his side, his hair drenched in sweat, his signature tshirt on with the "M" from the "Monster" logo emblazen on it.

Frank Garvin, holding a roll of duct tape in one hand, stretching out a section of it to his other hand. He slowly starts to wrap it around his wrist, not even looking at the camera.

Hazard, finishing up a taping job on his hands, then tearing the tape and throwing it past the camera before smaking the nuckles of his weapons of choie.

"The Outlaw" Greyson Blade, a stern look on his face.

John Thomas - arrogantly smirking with Anastasia Ewing standing at his side.

The No Limits Championship belt, zooming out to show Crazy Boy holding the belt up in front of him.

Ethan Leers, wearing his signature basketball jersey, a look on his face that tells you he's none too happy to be bothered with this promotional video recording session.

Chris Turner, holding a burlap bag at his side, an eerie stare into the camera.

Damien Black, wearing his old school hockey mask, chain in his hands.

Loco Martinez flanked by ANARCHY.

The often-grinning Herb Moxley who doesn't have such a happy look to him this time, as he's all business going into the big upcoming match against his one-time best friend.

Cade Sydal, with his flashy fashion sense, tattoos, piercings, and hairstyle.

Jester Smile, with his own interesting style.

The Hawkins Memorial Tournament trophy.

The World Tag Team Champions - Mirage standing next to Lucien Gray. Behind them are a half-dozen ladders, set-up and ready to be climbed.

In rapid flashes, all the members of the roster appear on the screen and disappear, almost too quickly to recognize them all. Then, total darkness.

Fading back in, we see the front facade of Madison Square Garden, and then we fade out again.

Tonight's Lineup

The show opens on a live shot of Alan Ducard, Bryan Harris and Jimmy Yates sitting behind the announce table at ringside area. Behind them are the excited fans in the Hammerstein Ballroom, cheering and waiting for things to get started.

Alan Ducard: Good evening everyone and welcome to the Destined for Greatness 2009 Pre-Show. I'm your host for the evening, Alan Ducard, alongside my fellow co-hosts Jimmy Yates and Bryan Harris.

Jimmy Yates: We're a little less than 48 hours away from the biggest pay per view event in LEGACY history, and tonight we've got a half-dozen matches on the card here in the WILD Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City all set up to try to convince you all to purchase the DESTINED FOR GREATNESS pay per view on Sunday night as it happens live.

Bryan Harris: As I've said many times before, don't mistake what's going on tonight. These matches you're going to see are going to be great, but we've saved the biggest contests for Sunday night. This is just the appetizer.

Alan Ducard: We do have some great contests on the card for the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd, including two HUGE contests - Stephen Rawlings taking on Kenji Yamada, and the main event - Matthew Dawson squaring off against Devastation.

Bryan Harris: Before you two start yapping about all the matches yet to come tonight, let me just say that there's a lot to get to, so don't waste any time previewing things now... that's why we taped all those intros earlier tonight.

International Incident
vs ANARCHY

Jimmy Yates: The opening match on tonight’s card is a tag team contest with the recently formed team – International Incident – taking on the long-time partnership in ANARCHY.

Alan Ducard: Many people consider the duo of Allen Franks and Mostafa Bashir to be something of a non-contender…

Bryan Harris: I think “joke” is more the term used by people I know…

Alan Ducard: Well certainly neither one of them ever had significant success in singles ranks, but as a team? I believe they have potential, and they have more than enough motivation for attaining victory…

Bryan Harris: Why, because a few weeks ago ANARCHY cost them a match that didn’t even matter for anything? Franks and Bashir weren’t even the targets of ANARCHY that night… losing that match was basically just collateral damage.

Jimmy Yates: Yeah? Well ANARCHY is going to have to step up tonight and answer for what they did…

Bryan Harris: And it ain’t gonna matter, because ANARCHY are world class athletes, and they’re going to send International Incident back to the minor leagues somewhere that Allen Franks and Mostafa Bashir won’t be over their heads…. But at least those guys got matching ring attire and tshirts out of the deal.

Alan Ducard: Let’s see the footage to find out what transpired.

Start of Match Footage

Hoisting Allen Franks up off his feet, T.Rex puts him on his back with a bodyslam, then just pivots and throws his elbow out and drops, but instead of connecting with The Montreal Kid’s chest, he hits the mat.

Alan Ducard: Another sloppy attempt by ANARCHY as Allen Franks rolls out of the way, and I must say that so far, despite currently being in control, ANARCHY has looked quite unconditioned here tonight.

Bryan Harris: They don’t look like they’re on top of their game, but even still, they’re not going to have a problem with Franks and Bashir.

Alan Ducard: Well that’s yet to be decided, now isn’t it?

Taking hold of T.Rex’s arm and head, Allen Franks whips his much larger opponent over his shoulder and down to the mat, dropping to a knee in the process of executing the modified snapmare.

Jimmy Yates: Do I sense some martial arts training from The Montreal Kid?!

Alan Ducard: It would certainly look as such, and now he’s running into the ropes, makes the tag to Bashir as he rebounds… nice spinning European Uppercut bodysplash combination to the seated ANARCHIST!

Bryan Harris: Crafty as it might be, that move was still slightly illegal since Mostafa Bashir is now the legal man in the ring!

Jimmy Yates: I’d tell you to give it a rest…

Bryan Harris: But you’d be wasting your breath!

Entering the ring, Mostafa Bashir’s first act is to stomp down onto T.Rex’s chest, causing the big man to roll over and hold his arms to his upper torso, obviously in some pain. As T.Rex starts to work his way up, Bashir turns and moves into the ropes, getting some momentum as he springs off, and he connects with a lariat that puts T.Rex down onto the ground again.

Alan Ducard: This time it appears that T.Rex will be rolling over and making the tag instead of returning to his feet, and with a beast like Bashir across from him, I can’t say I blame him.

Bryan Harris: He just wants to give Arch Angel a chance to break a sweat.

Once T.Rex rolls underneath the bottom rope, Arch Angel comes into the squared circle, and he and Mostafa meet in the middle of the ring. The ANARCHY member doesn’t waste any time before he drills Bashir with a hard right hand, rocking him back. The Beast from Kandahar retaliates, sending a forearm shot to the side of Arch Angel’s face, rocking him back a step as well. Instead of going for another punch, Double A instead fires in with a kick, then takes Bashir by the wrist.

Alan Ducard: Arch Angel with an irish whip… Bashir coming with some steam and ducking under a clothesline attempt on the return. Mostafa off the ropes again… Oh my! Bashir with a shoulder block that’s met with the firm-footed stance of Arch Angel, and both men stand their ground!

Arch Angel reaches back and goes for a haymaker, but Mostafa blocks it, then lands a punch of his own. Then another. Then a left jab. Arch Angel’s stumbling backwards a step, the corner coming up behind him faster and faster with each punch. The Beast from Kandahar grabs his wrist… irish whip across the ring. Mostafa charges in after him with a rushing splash attack…

Bryan Harris: Nobody home!!!

Alan Ducard: Arch Angel with an opening, he takes Bashir by the head, looks to be going for a suplex… no, he can’t get him up off the mat. Mostafa must be controlling his center of gravity... yes, his knees are bent, that’s precisely what he’s doing!

Arch Angel hammers Bashir in the ribs with a hooking punch, then smacks him on the back as they both fall to the mat, Mostafa driving down with a DDT. Back to his feet, the ANARCHY member reaches over and tags in T.Rex, then signals for something.

Jimmy Yates: A double-team move coming, and just like I suspected, not a word from Tex, over there. Why so quiet this time, Bryan?

Bryan Harris: Turnabout’s fair play, Jimbo.

Hoisting Bashir up to his feet, both members of ANARCHY lock their arms around Bashir’s head, looking for a double-suplex, but before they can lift him up…

Alan Ducard: Oh my! Allen Franks with a split-legged dropkick to the backs of ANARCHY, and they’re going to be needing a rain check on that double suplex attempt!

Bryan Harris: That’s the second time Allen Franks has ruined a perfect double-team opportunity! You’d think the referee would want to get things under control!

Jimmy Yates: What, you wanted to see that double-suplex?

Bryan Harris: And what if I did?! You got a problem with that?

Alan Ducard: Gentlemen…

The referee mentions to Arch Angel that he must be leaving the ring, and after a brief argument, it gets back down to the two legal men in the ring as Allen Franks leaves on his own terms. Both men struggle to get to their feet, though neither too injured at the moment. Once up, Bashir lets out a guteral roar, and unleashes a violent headbutt that staggers T.Rex.

Bryan Harris: Not exactly a meeting of the minds.

T.Rex winds up and answers with a headbutt of his own. This time Bashir staggers back a few steps.

Bryan Harris: And the collective IQ just took another hit.

Bashir shakes out the cobwebs and smirks and then drives his forehead into T.Rex's once more. Driving T.Rex to a knee.

Jimmy Yates: How much more can these guys take?

T.Rex takes a desperation lunge, driving one more headbutt up under Bashir's chin. And when Bashir is staggered T.Rex levels him with a running clothesline.

Alan Ducard: It seems that in this case, not using ones head is actually using ones head.

T.Rex reaches back and tags in Arch Angel. Both men bury a boot into Bashir's midsection. They then each step in and put one of his arm's around their shoulders, looking for a double vertical suplex.

Jimmy Yates: Not again. Could the third time possibly be a charm?

T.Rex and Arch Angel hoist the bit man up, and drop him back with a huge ring shaking vertical suplex.

Bryan Harris: They did it! They Did it!

Jimmy Yates: Easy, Bry... its not the miracle on the mat or anything.

Arch Angel and T.Rex jump to their feet excited that they finally hit the big double suplex on Bashir. T.Rex is jumping up and down with glee. They share a joyful manhug.

Alan Ducard: This is ridiculous. Act your ages!

As if Allen Franks is on the same page he leaps to the top rope and jumps off leveling the two men with somersault senton. The crowd jumps to their feet roaring the display of athleticism.

Bryan Harris: Again with the interference!!! Come on, ref!!

Jimmy Yates: It’s no worse than an illegal double-team!!

As the referee yells at T.Rex and Allen Franks to exit the ring, the crowd starts stomping and clapping, trying to urge Mostafa Bashir to work his way up off the mat.

Bryan Harris: You ever wonder why the fans always think this sort of thing is a good idea? Wouldn’t Arch Angel be getting just as much encouragement to get up as Bashir?!

Jimmy Yates: YEAH, if he thinks the fans are behind him…

Bryan Harris: Well they damn well should be, he’s the best athlete in this match.

Alan Ducard: I’m not too certain, what with Allen Franks’ performance here tonight…

Both legal man are working their way up, and as Arch Angel starts to look around for his corner, he starts stumbling towards the neutral corner. Getting a knee underneath himself and then planting a foot down, Mostafa looks the quicker of the two back to his feet.

Reaching their respective vertical bases at roughly the same time, Arch Angel turns around and runs into Mostafa Bashir, who grabs him around the waist and lifts up into a bearhug. Arch Angel tries to squirm out of it, but Mostafa’s grasp is too firm.

Jimmy Yates: The Beast from Kandahar really holding it on his opponent, squeezing the air out of him…

Bryan Harris: And getting far too close to the ropes in the process! A smart wrestler wouldn’t be shuffling their feet.

Alan Ducard: Bashir nearing his own corner now… And Allen Franks tags himself in!

Instead of entering the ring, Allen Franks climbs the turnbuckle, getting to the top rope while Bashir steps away from the corner. After a hard headbutt to the side of Arch Angel’s face, Bashir changes up his grip and spins Arch Angel a bit, now setting him up as if for a fallaway slam.

ALLEN FRANKS: Don’t Call It A Comeback!!!

After yelling, The Montreal Kid leaps off the top rope into a missile dropkick, connecting with the side of Arch Angel’s face. Just as that happens, Bashir falls forwards, slamming all his body weight down onto Arch Angel, then he rolls out of the way just as Allen Franks rolls in and hooks the leg.

Jimmy Yates: Great move, and now a pinning combination…!!!

ONE….!!

Bashir to one knee, watching the attempt, looking for outside interference…

TWO!!!

T.Rex can only watch from the apron…

THREE!!!

Alan Ducard: Blimey, they did it!!! They really did it!!

Josephina Colbert: Here are your winners by pinfall… Allen Franks…. Mostafa Bashir… The INTERNATIONAAAAAAAAAL…. IN-CI-DENT!!!!!

After the announcement is made, the referee stands up and raises the hands of Mostafa Bashir and Allen Franks in victory. The young Canadian is pumped up about the win, a huge grin on his face. Bashir looks pleased, but not exactly happy – his game face is still on.

Jimmy Yates: I’m sure that doesn’t make you a believer, Bryan, but Franks & Bashir showed me quite a bit here tonight!

Bryan Harris: That’s just one win, Yates, ONE WIN… And it’s quite possibly their last.

Alan Ducard: Whether that’s true or not, they will have a couple weeks to celebrate this victory, and both of their homelands are probably very pleased at them right now.

Hopping out of the ring, Allen and Mostafa are both handed their International Incident signature tshirts from the ring attendant, and after Allen says something to Bashir, they both toss their shirts into the crowd before walking up the ramp, still excited from the win.

Empty Dance Card

We cut backstage to find Intern Avery standing next to Gryffin Anselm. Avery has a green tuxedo on with a matching green bowtie, and Gryffin is just wearing a pair of black slacks and a burgundy button-up shirt, the top two buttons undone.

Intern Avery: Gryffin Anselm, I wanted to get a word with you tonight because as I look over the cards for the two shows scheduled for the Destined for Greatness weekend, I don't see your name anywhere. For a guy who has been in LEGACY since the start, I would've thought you would want to be a part of the action on the biggest show in LEGACY's history. I'm not so sure that you've EVER missed a LEGACY pay per view.

Gryffin Anselm: Well, it could've been nice to be in a match, but honestly? It wouldn't have been good for my plans.

Intern Avery: Your plans? What plans are those?

After a moment to consider how to respond, Gryffin speaks up.

Gryffin Anselm: There's a master plan in the works, Avery. I have some things that I want to accomplish which will play a bigger role in my personal legacy than a match I could've had this weekend.

Intern Avery: I don't understand... if you could've had a title shot - singles OR tag team...

He shakes off the idea, then responds.

Gryffin Anselm: The World Title situation was settled back at Glimmer of Hope. No Limits? Even though I held that belt a couple years ago, I'm not trying to get into the mix with those four crazy guys at this point in my career....

As Gryffin trails off for a moment, Avery continues the line of thought.

Intern Avery: The Tao of Valor Championship?

Gryffin Anselm: No, I think Justin Moreno is the right person to get that shot... not to mention the fact that he's got more reasons than just championship gold behind why he wants to win that match. Things between him and Laura, they're getting a little personal, if you hadn't noticed.

Intern Avery: Well what about the World Tag Titles?

Gryffin Anselm: Well at this point, I don't really have a tag team partner, now do I? Not really an option.

Intern Avery: I thought maybe sooner than later it would be you and Justin Moreno... That reminds me, how did the training go with you two the past couple weeks?

Anselm shakes his head.

Gryffin Anselm: Moreno didn't take me up on my offer to train together.

Intern Avery: Sorry to bring up a sore subject.

Gryffin pats Avery on the shoulder.

Gryffin Anselm: Don't worry about it. I gotta run.

After one more pat on the shoulder, Anselm walks off.

Thomas Manchester Black vs Tim Jones
vs "All Star" James Win

Bryan Harris: Next up, it’s a three-way dance where all the guys involved have something to prove as we move into a new era in LEGACY’s existence.

Jimmy Yates: Tim Jones is going through a tough time, but he’s had some significant wins in his career. James Win is a former World Tag Team Champion, but hasn’t held a belt for over a year.

Bryan Harris: And Thomas Manchester Black? He’s yet to get his first real opportunity here in LEGACY, and for anyone who has been watching and listening lately, you know that he’s going to be the one to step up in a MAJOR way.

Alan Ducard: This isn’t an official “Show Me Showcase” match, so no guaranteed title shot is on the line, but I do believe that if one of these three has a good showing in this contest, they will most likely be rewarded.

Jimmy Yates: Initially this was supposed to be a four-way match, but Cervantes was unable to compete due to lingering injuries stemming from his last match with TMB.

Bryan Harris: Wouldn’t THAT be fitting if Cervantes got put on the shelf by an opponent after what he did to some of his past opponents!

Alan Ducard: I don’t wish to see any competitor go down due to injury, so why don’t we get to the footage to see what transpired.

Start of Match Footage

Alan Ducard: James Win and Tim Jones seem to be forming a bit of an alliance to go after the big TMB.

Bryan Harris: Scared little children, too scared to fight man to man so what do they do? Double team him, man up and fight like you have a pair.

TMB is sent flying into the turnbuckles after both James Win and Tim Jones each grabbed a hand and irish whipped him into the corner. James Win nods at Tim Jones and Win grabs Jones by the hand and whips him to the corner towards TMB as hard as he can. Tim Jones tries to run into TMB with an elbow, but TMB ducks under it! The momentum from being whipped by James Win sends Tim Jones sprawling to the outside, James Win tries to rush forward but before he can do anything TMB turns him inside out with a brutal clothesline!

Bryan Harris: A real man showing he doesn’t have to hide from anybody, right there TMB put his foot down and laid those two clowns out.

Jimmy Yates: In all fairness, in a Triple Threat you have to take every opportunity you have to take out your opponents, even if that means forming an alliance for part of the match. It’s just smart wrestling.

Bryan Harris: You trying to tell me something about wrestling, boy? I’ve forgotten more about this business than you’ll ever know, so shut up and don’t try to tell me anything.

TMB stalks around a groggy James Win who is just now getting to his knees, TMB rebounds off the ropes and drives his knee into the small of James Winn’s back right before he can attempt to get back to a vertical base. James Winn falls forward holding his back and groaning in pain, TM wastes little time locking in a basic Half Boston Crab! TMB uses his huge frame to pull back with all of his strength, causing a cry of anguish to be heard from James Win. TMB can feel Win struggling even more and simply grabs hold of his other leg and makes it a full fledged Boston Crab!

Alan Ducard: TMB with a methodical attack on the back of James Win, you have to wonder just how much more punishment that back can take before something snaps.

Bryan Harris: Give me a break, that little girl will tap out long before anything breaks.

Jimmy Yates: Would a little class kill you? These men are all in peak physical condition and are willing to go to the very edge to win this match and show all of us what they’re made of.

Bryan Harris: Who asked you to talk?

TMB lets out a primal scream as he cinches the Boston Crab in even more, however, Tim Jones has slid back into the ring and bounces off the ropes. Jones speeds towards TMB then floats over him while grabbing his neck and slamming him face first into the mat with a blockbuster! While TMB is trying to recover, Tim Jones goes for a cover on the just released James Win!

1…

2…

Kickout by Win!

Jones doesn’t waste any time sending a quick kick to the back of TMB’s head while he is trying to recover. However, as soon as he turned back towards Win, Win rolls him up into a small cradle!

1…

2…

TMB dives in to break up the count by the referee! Tim Jones is the first to his feet, still groggy and confused from the small cradle followed by TMB. TMB with a hard slam to mat on Tim Jones. Jones holds his back in pain on the mat as TMB moves over to James Win and delivers a devastating blow to the face. Back and forth Win and TMB are exchanging left and right hand shots, moving towards the ropes with every shot. Jones slowly starts to get to his feet and starts off for the opposite ropes, bouncing off, Jones takes to the air, Win and TMB are still tossing punches. Jones soars into both of them with a flying crossbody! All three men spill through the ropes and to the outside!

Jimmy Yates: Incredible crossbody by Jones! All three men bringing everything they have to the table and the action is now just TOO hot to be inside the ring! This is where the action gets so dangerous, folks, because out here there are so many places that can be used as improvised weapons!

Alan Ducard: I can’t argue with that, matches can be made or broken outside of the ring depending on what the wrestlers decide to do out here.

On the outside of the ring, Tim Jones is the first to his feet. He grabs TMB by the hair and pulls him to his feet. With a swift kick to the stomach, TMB doubles over in pain and Tim sets him up to powerbomb him to the padding. Jones lifts him up in the air, right when Jones is about to pull the trigger, out of nowhere James Win tackles Jones’ knee, Jones’ buckles letting TMB fall right on top of him delivering right after left to the exposed face of Tim Jones.

Bryan Harris: How many times do we have to say this; in a Triple Threat match you need to have eyes in the back of your head because the second you turn your back you have another man all over you. Right there, Tim Jones showed he has no idea what he is doing and he paid for it. Rookie mistakes like that cost you matches, boy.

Jimmy Yates: But if he had connected with that powerbomb this crowd would have gone NUTS and TMB might have been taken totally out of the match. It was a calculated risk that didn’t work out for him.

Bryan Harris: But he DIDN’T did he? You stupid little ingrate, keep your mouth shut unless you have something half way intelligent to say. I know what I’m talking about and you’re just a depraved spot monkey. Now shut up and watch the damn match.

James Win is resting on the turnbuckles in the ring after tackling Jones from behind. TMB, with Jones just now getting to his knees, slides in and rushes after Win, not wanting him to be able to rest. Win and Black meet in the middle of the ring and exchange brutal shots. Win backs TMB to the ropes, Thomas has recovered and quickly wraps him up and sends a few knee shots to the ribs and chest. He ends the flurry with a front thrust kick, knocking Win down to one knee. Before Win can react, TMB viciously drops a jumping elbow down onto the back of Win's back! Win cringes and reaches for his back with a loud moan.

Alan Ducard: James Win looks to be in trouble here, TMB was working on his back earlier and with the big frame crashing down on his back…well he could be in real trouble here, ladies and gentlemen. But can TMB or Tim Jones capitalize?

Tim Jones and TMB stand-off with each other while Win manages to roll out of the ring, holding his back on the floor outside the ring. Tim Jones fires off a right and TMB thunders back with a left that sends Jones rocking back to the ropes! TMB rumbles forward and tries to clothesline Jones over the top rope, but Jones dives out of the way and TMB spills out of the ring over the ropes! Jones takes a moment to catch a breather, but before he can Win locks his arms around his waist and hauls him to the mat with a german suplex! Win bridges it into a pin!

1…

2…

Jones rolls out of the pin! As both men get to their feet, Jones hits Win with a quick right jab. Win staggers backwards, TMB from the outside grabs hold of his feet and drags him to the outside! But, Tim Jones has a running start and vaults over the top rope…but Win, somehow has the where with all to push TMB off of him and dives out of the way! Jones smashes onto the floor missing both men!

Jimmy Yates: Jones goes CRASHING to the outside! What could have been a total game changer has turned into a total disaster for the All Star!

Bryan Harris: High flying riff-raff nonsense. That’s what happens with high risk; you crash, burn, and take yourself out of the picture like some nobody punk.

Alan Ducard: Jones rolled the dice but came up empty and it looks like he has all but taken himself out of this match as it looks like both TMB and James Win have made their way back into the ring.

Win and TMB stare each other down for a moment, both taking a moment to catch their breath. They are both quick to meet each other in the center of the ring, both men start teeing off on each other with thunderous haymakers!

Bryan Harris: Now this is what I’m talking about, a good old fashioned fight where the two men stand there and just clobber each other. None of this lucha libre garbage, just a good old fashioned slugfest and I love it.

Jimmy Yates: Both men have expended SO much energy throughout this fight that they have almost NOTHING left in the tank and are now just blasting each other with haymakers! You have to wonder how long Win’s struggle will continue against someone as strong as TMB.

TMB really rears back and fires a right hand as hard as he can, however, James Win ducks under it! TMB spins around, his back now to James Win, and James Win grabs his head and leans him back readying him for a reverse DDT! But wait! TMB shows an amazing amount of strength and LIFTS James Win forward, grabbing his head in a facelock, and holds him in the air before letting him drop down forward , onto his feet! TMB has completely turned the tables and now TMB has James Win in an inverted facelock!

Jimmy Yates: Did you see that!? The strength of TMB is just incredible! He went from a losing position to being in striking distance of the win!

TMB takes a moment to look out into the crowd before he drops James Win with the Violent Party! Win isn’t moving and TMB dives across James Win for the cover…

1…

2…

3…!

The referee calls for the bell as TMB rolls off of James Win, throwing his hands in the air triumphantly.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner…Thomas…Manchester…BLAAAAAAACK!

Alan Ducard: It looks like the sheer brute strength and the technical skills of TMB were just too much for both James Win and Tim Jones tonight. TMB showed tonight that he does deserve to not only be here but a force to be reckoned with in Legacy.

Bryan Harris: If those other two nobodies had the power and brawling style TMB had then maybe they would have had a chance. But they were too damn busy stroking their own ego and trying to appease spot monkey nitwits like Jimmy Yates here to realize how to be in a real fight.

Jimmy Yates: What exactly is wrong with trying to appease these great LEGACY fans? They are the lifeblood of this organization and they love seeing high flyers risk it all.

Alan Ducard: Regardless, TMB has shown LEGACY to watch out because he is here and he is here to make a statement.

Shades of Outlaw

Click-clack, click-clack – it’s the sound of a pair of black cowboy boots, now visible in the camera shot. The owner is headed down a backstage hallway when a pair of shiny black dress shoes comes headed towards the cowboy boots. As the camera pans up we see Kenji Yamada, the owner of the dress shoes, headed to the dressing room. The camera then zooms out and we see that the cowboy boots belong to Patrick Kidd, the newest LEGACY road agent. Neither man says a word as they approach each other at a slow, but consistent pace.

When the men are about three feet from each other they both stop and stare. Some of the backstage crew look on wondering what's about to happen. After a tense moment, one man takes off running down a side hall, most likely to get the other road agents or security thinking something is about to go down. Kidd and Yamada continue to stare, their eyes locked, not a word shared between them for about a minute, but it seems like an eternity.

Although this is LEGACY in 2009, for a moment it seems as if the two men were suddenly transported back four years into the middle of a Carolina hell-hole. The silence is deafening when one of the dressing room doors just down the hall opens, and out steps “The Outlaw” Greyson Blade. He’s wearing a “Demand Respect” t-shirt, but just visible under the fabric is a shoulder brace as a result of the post match attack by John Thomas on Strife 55. He’s about to head to the catering area, when looks down the hall to the stare down.

The Outlaw: Hey Kidd, I need to talk to you.

Kidd does a half turn never fully taking his eyes off of Kenji, as Blade approaches them. Greyson stops in front of Kidd, and Kenji steps past them both and keeps walking down the hall without ever saying a word, turning his back on both men. Greyson looks down the hall after Kenji, and then back to Kidd with a definite element of concern in his voice.

The Outlaw: Patrick, we need to talk …

Blade tries to look his friend in the eye, but Kidd is avoiding him.

The Outlaw: What's gotten into you lately? Cade … Ledge … Kenji?

Kidd: It's nothing, Greyson … really, I'll catch up with you at the Garden I still have some errands to run as LEGACY’s backstage bitch.

Greyson starts to say something, but Kidd just turns and walks off leaving Greyson with a confused look on his face, and wondering just what the hell is going on with his friend.

Cronos Diamante & Diego de Cardenas
vs Ledge & "Iceman" Adam Davis

Alan Ducard: Our third match of the evening is a tag team grudge match, with the team of Ledge and Adam Davis taking on the two men whom they have been tormenting lately – Diego de Cardenas and Cronos Diamante.

Bryan Harris: I’d say that’s a bit of an overstatement, Al. They haven’t been tormenting Cronos Diamante, he’s just sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong because he’s getting bent out of shape because Ledge and Adam Davis have been making Diego look like a fool!

Jimmy Yates: They’ve used every trick in the book to punish Diego for reasons that I’d have to guess deal with Adam Davis’ short-term “relations” with Diego’s former and current girlfriend – Hannah Perez!

Bryan Harris: They were on a break, Yates, so she can “date” whoever she wanted – and she chose The Iceman – and why wouldn’t she? He’s one of the best athletes on the roster, and from what I hear, the ladies find him kinda hot.

Alan Ducard: Well things between Diego and Adam Davis got taken to the next level in the first round of the Hawkins Memorial Tournament when Diego got taken out by Ledge backstage, allowing The Iceman to advance without having to compete… and so you have to know that Diego is looking for some revenge.

Jimmy Yates: He’s going to have to step it up, because I’ve heard rumors that Cronos Diamante might be ill today… so we’ll see what affect that has – if any – on this contest.

Start of Match Footage

Alan Ducard: Diego De Cardenas is in deep, folks, as his partner Cronos looks almost pale white and extremely ill. Diego has been fighting off both Ledge and Adam Davis on his own without so much as trying to make a tag to his partner, who you’d have to imagine would be a sitting duck in his condition.

Bryan Harris: He came to the damn ring to fight, who cares how sick he is? Did you see what Ledge and Adam Davis did to Jester Smiles after that match last week? Did you see what Davis did to Marion with that croquet mallet? Diego had better tag his partner and roll the dice or he may as well forfeit.

Davis whips Diego to the ropes and on the rebound tries to go for a heavy clothesline, but Diego ducks under it and hits the ropes rebounding with even more speed! Davis, however, doesn’t even turn around when Diego ducks his clothesline and fires of a quick elbow backwards that catches the speeding Diego right in the temple stopping him dead in his tracks. Davis moves quickly turning around and wrapping his arms around Diego’s waist and launching him up and over with a release belly to belly suplex! Diego goes flying across the ring and lands no more than an arm length away from Cronos! Cronos says something to his tag team partner, but Diego refuses and is quick to stand back up as Davis comes rushing after him. Davis fires off a quick right hand to the face of Diego, but Diego ducks under it and tries to retaliate with a punch of his own. Davis sidesteps the punch and gets behind Diego and wraps his arm around Diego’s neck and drops to a knee locking in a Dragon Sleeper! Diego’s arms flail in struggle as Davis shouts numerous taunts at Cronos. Cronos is desperately trying to reach in far enough to tag himself in but Davis has the Dragon Sleeper locked in just far enough away that he can’t.

Jimmy Yates: Come on, this isn’t even a fair fight anymore! This is more like a handicap match than it is a tag team match! How is this fair! Davis is mocking them both!

Bryan Harris: Will you shut up? It’s fair because BOTH of those men came down to the ring and Diego is just fine and happy with NOT tagging in his partner. So you cry yourself silly, you namby little girl, because they did this to themselves.

Alan Ducard: Regardless of how you feel, Diego is in an uphill battle right now as Adam Davis has a Dragon Sleeper, a not too commonly used submission anymore, locked in tight. Diego needs to get some offense going or he is going to be brutalized here.

Davis, realizing that Diego isn’t quitting lifts him up, while still holding his head in the Dragon Sleeper position and just DROPS him with a reverse DDT! Davis stands above Diego with a cocky grin on his face and wipes a small bead of sweat of his face and mockingly throws it at Cronos. Davis grabs Diego by the hair, bringing Diego to his feet, and whips him as hard as he can to the opposite turnbuckle. Diego crunches into the turnbuckle wincing in pain as he falls forward. Davis makes a quick tag to Ledge who immediately jumps in and starts to lay his boots into the back of Diego. Soon he starts to drop knee after knee into the small of the back of Diego, each strike followed by a flinch and a painful moan from Diego. Ledge grabs Diego by the hair to bring him to his feet and lifts him up on his shoulders. Ledge holds him on his shoulders for a few moments, even walking over to Cronos and shouting at him before lifting Diego off his shoulders and down HARD onto his knee, but he doesn’t let Diego roll off his knee, instead he pushes down on Diego’s throat and knees to put even more pressure on Diego’s back.

Alan Ducard: Ledge with a relentless attack on the back of Diego, as soon as he came into the ring he knew exactly what part of the body he was going to target and went right after it. If this type of domination continues then there is no way Diego can last very long.

Bryan Harris: Effective and deadly, Ledge and Davis are making quick tags to each other and making sure Diego never has a chance to catch his breath. They know they have the advantage and they aren’t going to be pompous and waste it.

Jimmy Yates: Give me a break, they’ve been mocking Cronos the whole match long! Those two are the poster boys for pompous arrogant jerks!

Ledge finally lets Diego off his knee, Ledge slaps Diego in the back of head shouting something in his ears as he continues to disrespect Diego. Diego manages to struggle to his knees, Ledge helps him up the rest of the way to his feet and lifts Diego into an electric chair. Ledge, brimming with confidence, walks Diego around mocking Cronos and the fans until he finally gets close to his corner where Davis has climbed to the top rope. Davis leaps off the top rope…but misses as Diego folds under and rolls Ledge up with a Victory Roll cradle pin! Davis slams hard against the mat after missing the crossbody while the referee makes the count!

1…

2…

Thr…Ledge kicks out of it!

Jimmy Yates: Diego was SO close there! Ledge and Adam Davis never thought that Diego could get out of that one and Diego showing them that even handicapped he is a force to be reckoned with.

Alan Ducard: That will really only shift the momentum if Diego can get some offense here, otherwise Adam Davis and Ledge will just continue their methodical assault on Diego.

Diego hobbles to his feet as Davis is managing to get up, Davis runs towards Diego but Diego throws him over the top rope with a modified hiptoss! Diego turns around and goes right to work of Ledge with a quick assault of chops and kicks to the chest and leg area of Ledge! Before long Diego grabs Ledge in a front facelock and just manages to lift him up and plant Ledge with a brainbuster suplex! Ledge’s neck contorting at such an awkward angle as he falls to the mat!

Bryan Harris: Decent little move there by Diego, but it’s going to take a lot more than that to…

Jimmy Yates: I think Diego’s a step ahead of you!!

Taking Ledge by the head, Diego doesn’t even give his opponent a chance to suffer on the mat before bringing him to his feet and spinning him around into position for a reverse DDT, but before he drops, Diego takes a step forward, bringing the upper portion of Ledge’s back down onto his knee.

Alan Ducard: Diego continuing his assault with a modified backbreaker, and he’s going to keep it up!

Diego makes a run for the ropes and springboards off the middle rope with a moonsault! But Diego isn’t done there, he runs to the ropes again but this times hopes from the second rope to the top rope with an even higher springboard moonsault onto Ledge! Diego into another pin!

1…

2…

Davis with a boot to the back of Diego’s head to stop the pin! Davis, with an angered scowl on his face, grabs Diego and lifts him up high into the powerbomb position. Ledge, now back to his feet, is standing ready right in front of Davis. Davis brings Diego down for the powerbomb but on the way down Ledge grabs hold of Diego’s shoulder for a devastating high velocity backcracker! Diego bounces out of the ring from the immense impact of the tandem move.

Jimmy Yates: Oh my god…a twisted double team maneuver by Ledge and Adam Davis. Ledge had been working on Diego’s back earlier and with a move of that velocity, I mean I wouldn’t be surprised if he broke Diego’s back.

Bryan Harris: It’s his own damn fault for not bringing a healthy partner to the dance. I don’t feel an ounce of sympathy for him because this is the kind of beating you deserve when you come to a match unprepared and delusional.

Alan Ducard: It certainly looked like Diego was getting his second win and was going to make an attempt at upsetting Adam Davis and Ledge by winning this match on his own, however, the numbers game caught up with Diego yet again in this match.

Cronos is checking on Diego on the outside while Ledge and Davis look to catch their breath after the short outburst from Diego. However, they both see Cronos outside attending to Diego and surround him. Cronos tries to put his fists up in a fighting position but he doesn’t look at all ready to fight in his weakened condition. Both Ledge and Adam Davis start to mockingly cough in Cronos’ face, however, while they mock him they fail to realize that Diego has managed to crawl back into the ring. Diego, while in the ring, hits the ring ropes. His face twisted in pain as each step sends waves of pain shooting up his spine, Diego launches himself through the ropes for a suicide plancha and Cronos, while weakened, manages to duck out of the way and Ledge and Davis are NAILED by the suicide plancha! Davis and Ledge are sprawled out and Diego is moaning in agony while he grips at his back!

Jimmy Yates: What a suicide dive by Diego! How he managed to even stand after that powerbomb backcracker is beyond me, but to fight through the pain and sacrifice even more…Ledge and Davis damn well better know they have a fight on their hands!

Bryan Harris: That was the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Yeah, good for him he took out Ledge and Adam Davis…but he took himself out too! How the hell is he going to capitalize outside the ring while he AND his opponents are getting counted out!?

Just as Bryan Harris said, the referee has started the ten count.

1…

Diego is struggling to get to any sort of vertical base because of the pain in his back.

2…

3…

4…

Ledge has managed to get back to his feet and heaves Diego, who just got to his knees, back into the ring. Ledge shakes his head a number of times trying to shake the cobwebs before sliding back into the ring. Ledge forces Diego into the seated position and drives his knee into the back of Diego, forcing a loud scream from Diego as his back is tortured even further while Ledge grabs Diego’s hands to force even more pressure on the back of Diego. Ledge reaches out and tags in Davis who, while Ledge still has his knee in Diego’s back, floats over both Ledge and Diego and snaps Diego’s neck forward with a blockbusters! But Ledge hasn’t let go of Diego’s hands holding him up against his knee and Diego’s neck SNAPS back hard against Ledge.

Bryan Harris: Just like I said, Diego may have stopped Davis and Ledge momentarily with that plancha but he ended up hurting himself more than he hurt Davis and Ledge. Now look at him, they’re dissecting him and Cronos can’t do a damn thing about it but take another cough drop.

Ledge finally lets Diego fall to the canvas, Adam Davis stands over Diego who is gritting his teeth as he reaches for his back to somehow try to ease the pain. Davis rolls him over so he can look him in the eyes and starts to slap Diego in the face and yell at him. Diego seems all but out of it…until he rolls Davis into a small package! Cronos pounds on the turnbuckle hoping that’s enough!

1…

2…

Thre…Davis with a kickout! Davis immediately drops a knee onto the throat of Diego! Davis turns Diego over, seemingly through playing games, grabs his leg and locks in a half boston crab! But, Davis plants a knee onto Diego’s neck and elevates the boston crab to lock in his signature Grave Pain! Diego is screaming at the top of his lungs as his back is targeted even more now. Cronos can only look on in stunned silence.

Jimmy Yates: I’ve never heard a man sound like that…

Bryan Harris: Yeah…me too…

Ledge enters the ring and makes a b-line for Cronos. Ledge points at the agony ridden Diego and continues screaming taunt and threats at Cronos. Then, Ledge immediately bounces off the ropes and baseball slides into the face of Diego, silencing the screaming immediately as the referee now has no choice but to raise Diego’s arm three times…

Alan Ducard: Diego might be out cold after that illegal-yet-vicious dropkick to the head… Diego’s arm falls once…

Bryan Harris: And here it goes… THAT’S TWO!

Jimmy Yates: Diego a valliant effort, but obviously he’s not… hold on a second, what’s Ledge doing?! He’s stopping the referee from raising Diego’s hand a third time?!

Getting in between Diego and the referee, Ledge starts saying something to the referee, and Adam Davis lets go of Diego with a smirk on his face. After walking over and glaring at Cronos, The Iceman does his “dust off my shoulder” taunting motion, then looks back over at Diego with a smirk. Ledge jubilantly bounces back off into his corner, exits onto the apron just long enough to get tagged right back into the match.

Alan Ducard: It appears that Adam Davis is going to let Ledge finish things off here tonight, but I would maintain that Diego is already done.

Hoisting Cardenas up to his feet, Ledge puts Diego’s head between his legs then smacks Diego playfully in the ribs a couple times, then FLIPS forward, doing nearly an entire rotation before driving Diego’s head into the mat with a flip piledriver.

Bryan Harris: There’s The Fox Trot, now it’s officially done!!

With a smirk on his face after displaying incredible athleticism, Ledge reaches over and hooks the leg, letting Travis Rollins come in to make the pinfall count.

1….

2….

3.

Josephina Colbert: Here are your winners by pinfall… Adam Davis and Ledge!!!

As the bell rings, Adam Davis rejoins his partner in the ring. While Travis Rollins raises their hands, they both glare over at Cronos Diamante with a smirk on their face, but Diamante just simply hops down off the apron and walks up the ramp.

Alan Ducard: It’s certainly unfortunate that Cronos Diamante was unable to play a role in this match here tonight, but you can’t control when and where someone will become ill, and so the match had to go on, and Diego did a fine job battling Davis and Ledge on his own…

Bryan Harris: Come on, this was basically Diego’s fight all along. He’s the one who had major beef with Adam Davis, and then with Ledge, and if he couldn’t raise the level of his game enough here tonight to get the job done with all the motivation he should have to kick their teeth in? That’s sad.

Jimmy Yates: What’s sad is Cronos Diamante walking off instead of sticking around to help Diego backstage. Why’d he just walk off?!

Alan Ducard: It’s quite possible he has to find a receptacle to vomit into… the flu can be a rough thing to handle.

Jimmy Yates: Does he have the flu?! It’s not the swine flu, is it?!

Bryan Harris: Who CARES what Cronos is sick with. What you should be talking about right now is that Adam Davis and Ledge just got a big win and are sending a message that they’re a force to be reckoned with in LEGACY. They’ve been sending this message over and over since Ledge got here, and it’s time people took notice!

The Little Things Appreciated

Again cutting backstage, we see a large individual seated at a cafeteria style table. He's wearing a limited edition DESTINED FOR GREATNESS 2009 commemorative tshirt and his eyes are as wide as as pie dishes as he watches all the passersby. There's a normal sized individual seated next to him, wearing the same shirt. They both have laniards on with the LEGACY logo on them.

Fan Boy: I can't believe we're here, man. This is like... seriously incredible.

Still speechless, there is no response.

Fan Boy: I never win anything - you know that better than anybody considering the four times we've tried to play Texas Hold'Em. But to win this contest and get an all expenses paid trip to come here to DESTINED FOR GREATNESS... I'm almost speechless- even if this is just the pre-show... I've almost got a stiffy. And by stiffy I mean...

LEGACY road agent Carter Franklin approaches, a styrofoam cup in hand, and as Fan Boy sees him, he stops talking mid-sentence and his eyes get even wider.

Fan Boy: Oh... My... G... You're like... Carter Franklin, road agent dude extraordinaire!!

Carter Franklin: And you must be... Rodney Thurman, winner of the "DFG Experience" contest.

Rodney starts rapidly nodding his head.

Fan Boy: Definitely am, that's me! This is my friend - they gave me the option to bring someone with me, and whenever I leave the house, I usually meet up with this guy like... almost right away 'cause he's been my next-door neighbor since I was like, 3 years old, and before that, i wasn't allowed to really leave the house, and we are the same age and went to the same...

Carter holds up a hand to cut off Rodney.

Carter Franklin: That's great, glad he could come along. I just wanted to let you know that there's actually front row seats for you two available - both tonight and on Sunday night... the backstage passes were primarily for before the show, that way you can get this experience, but you can also get to see the matches live...

Rodney's eyes get huge.

Fan Boy: That's awesome! Someone actually told me about that earlier, and then I saw Hannah Perez walking around and I sorta lost my train of thought.

Nodding slowly first, Carter slowly walks off.

Highlights from LEGACY International Match
Osamu Hayashi vs Katsuro Yoshida

Alan Ducard: Next up, we're going to see some action from LEGACY International.

Jimmy Yates: Katsuro Yoshida will be taking on Osamu Hayashi in a matchup of -

Bryan Harris: Guys that sound like they'd be delicious on the Happy Dragon Buffet menu.

Jimmy Yates: ...of former tag team partners. There's quite a bit of history between these two men.

Alan Ducard: Indeed there is. Yoshida was Osamu's mentor when Osamu was breaking into the business. They formed quite a successful and popular tag team in Japan known as Bushido Buntai.

Jimmy Yates: Katsuro arrived in LEGACY and captured the No Limits Title, and eventually brought Hayashi to LEGACY as well.

Bryan Harris: Where they both tasted great with lo mein!

Alan Ducard: There are moments when I believe you to be totally useless, you do realize that, right? Osamu struggled at first, but eventually became acclimated after his wife was approved for a visa. His success was put on hold when he suffered a broken jaw in a ladder match.

Jimmy Yates: Unable to put his own career on hold, Katsuro formed World Wide Bushido Buntai with Kevin Oppenheimer. That left Osamu Hayashi as a man without a country, so to speak, when he returned.

Alan Ducard: Upon his return, Osamu was recruited to the Agents of Destiny by Mirage. The two squared off in one on one competition, with Hayashi picking up the win with questionable tactics.

Bryan Harris: My GOD..are you two finally done? Can we get to match footage?

Start of Match Footage

Footage begins with both men circling slowly and approaching center ring with caution. A lockup leads to a series of armdrags, kicks to the thighs, knife edge chops, stiff forearm shots and comes back around full circle to a stalemate at center ring as the teacher and student try to figure out how to gain an edge on one another.

Jimmy Yates: These two started out quickly and maintained the pace for quite a while.

Bryan Harris: You and Ducard could take notes.

Hayashi lands, appropriately enough, a Japanese armdrag. As Katsuro gains his feet, he attempts to connect with a forearm which is blocked by Osamu. Osamu lands a stiff forearm shiver of his own across the jaw, sending Yoshida against the ropes. As he rebounds, Osamu is able to connect with his Jumping Complete Shot, driving Yoshida's face into the mat. As he struggles to get to his feet, Osamu presses the advantage, sprinting across the ring and driving his knee into Katsuro's face via Shining Wizard. He hooks the far leg in a pin attempt..

and Katsuro Yoshida gets a shoulder up!

Alan Ducard: Two high impact maneuvers in a small window of time put Hayashi firmly in control of this match, but he wasn't quite able to finish off Katsuro yet.

As the footage picks back up, we see the tide turn in dramatic fashion. Hayashi has a weary Yoshida on the top turnbuckle, and is in position to deliver a top rope huracanrana. Before he can snap Katsuro over, though, Yoshida has stopped his momentum and delivered a sit-out powerbomb from the top rope.

Bryan Harris: I think I'm running out of ethnic jokes to make here.

Jimmy Yates: I'm heartbroken. Yoshida's experience put him in control here, and kept him there for quite a while.

The video bears evidence of this, as we see Yoshida launching himself across the ring with a back handspring elbow into Osamu's chest that audibly drives the wind out of him. As Osamu slumps in the corner, he falls victim to a running face wash from Katsuro that sends him rolling under the bottom rope in retreat.Yoshida pursues, but as he heads to the outside, Hayashi quickly rolls back in. As he stands, satisfied that he's out of danger for the time being, he's met with a slpringboard shoulder block that again leads to a cover.

Alan Ducard: Again Hayashi managed to kick out, but he wasn't out of the woods just yet.

We see Yoshida land a standing moonsault, and again get a two count. He whips Osamu into the turnbuckles and again attempts the back handspring elbow. This time Hayashi sees it coming, and hits the deck. The result is Yoshida tumbling over the top rope and down the concrete. As he tries to gather himself, Osamu steps to the ring apron and delivers an incredible Asai Moonsault from the second rope down to the floor! After absorbing some of the applause from the crowd, he rolls Yoshida under the bottom rope and follows him in. He lifts him, hooks in an inverted facelock, and drives him to the mat with an elbow drop driver. The referee is in position for the count -

Alan Ducard: Again you see Yoshida narrowly escaping a pinfall, but the assault wasn't over yet. In fact, neither of these men were done by a long shot.

Osamu Hayashi delivers a vicious Tiger Suplex, but before any type of count can be rendered, Yoshida pops up to his feet and lets out a yell - the legendary Japanese Fighting Spirit has emerged from him, much to the awe of the crowd after such a move. His offensive response to the Tiger Suplex is a barrage of knife edge chops and headbutts that eventually drop Hayashi to his knees, where a stiff kick to the chest flattens him. Yoshida wastes no time in delivering a standing moonsault for a quick pin attempt.

Hayashi is out of the pin, but clearly not out of danger.

Bryan Harris: Okay, so these guys have impressed me more than I expected. This next move is impressive as hell.

On cue, Yoshida locks in his Goku-raku Gatame, a move that it would appear there's not much chance of escaping from. Sitting on the small of Hayashi's back and crossing the arms across his own chin and pulling back, Yoshida is in complete control. However, the submission doesn't come easily, and applying such a move requires a great deal of stamina to maintain the grip. After thirty seconds, Yoshida is forced to release the hold and look for another avenue of attack.

Jimmy Yates: Let's move a little further forward in the match.

Hayashi attempt a spinning heel kick, and Katsuro ducks off of the Irish whip. Osamu collides with the ref who is down and out for a few moments. Hayashi gathers himself in time to turn and deliver a roundhouse kick to Yoshida's head, stunning him. Osamu rolls out of the ring, grabs a chair, and slides it beneath the bottom rope. Katsuro picks up the chair and is waiting for Osamu as he re-enters the ring, surprised to see that Yoshida wasn't, in fact, unconscious. Katsuro hands Osamu the chair, the message clear: if you're willing to go to those depths, go ahead and use the chair. A momentary conflict flashes across Hayashi's face before he uses the chair to level Yoshida. The chair is slid out of the ring as Hayashi makes the cover and hooks the leg. The ref crawls over and begins a slow count -

As Osamu gets to his knees with a proud smirk on his face, the footage freezes and we zoom out, showing a large LCD monitor behind the regular commentary trio.

Alan Ducard: A disappointing ending to what had been a fine contest up to that point.

Bryan Harris: I'm only disappointed that Yoshida wasn't willing to go the extra mile for the win. He got what he deserved. This isn't the place to turn the other cheek.

Jimmy Yates: Clearly he was counting on a bond between a former teacher and student that simply isn't there for Osamu Hayashi.

Those Attempting Greatness

We cut to the recap area again to find the commentary trio.

Alan Ducard: Even with the great action here tonight, we're anticipating that Sunday night will be the greatness night of action in LEGACY history, and it's time we talk a little bit about the eight matches you'll see Sunday night if you order the pay per view - or if you're lucky enough to have purchased a ticket to watch it live from sports MECCA - Madison Square Garden.

Jimmy Yates: The evening is going to get started with a Last (Person) Standing Match between Justin Moreno and Laura Seton for the Tao of Valor Championship.

Bryan Harris: As if the Tao of Valor Title being on the line wasn't enough, this has certainly gotten a little personal for them, helped out a bit by Laura Seton's mouthy little sister Madison.

Alan Ducard: Justin Moreno has been Tao of Valor Champion twice before, and with all the negativity currently in his personal life, he is looking for this win to help propel him back into some positivity... but Laura Seton is looking to gain not only her second Tao of Valor token, but also some credibility after some talk about her not being as tough of a champion as others might have been before her.

Jimmy Yates: Talk about tough, Hazard gets into the ring against the insane Frank Garvin, who took things in this feud to the next level in the past few weeks.

Bryan Harris: Frank Garvin was victorious over Hazard back at Glimmer of Hope, but he didn't get what he wanted out of that contest. He wanted to get Hazard to take his career back to its hardcore roots, and we'll see just how far Hazard goes this Sunday night as they battle in a No Limits match.

Alan Ducard: Long-time friends Herb Moxley and Loco Martinez square off in one of the biggest non-title matches in LEGACY history. Both having been the biggest fan favorites at one time or another, this is a match I never figured would happen, but now despite how Moxley had hoped things would go, this match became inevitable.

Bryan Harris: Yeah, and Herb Moxley's life is falling apart around him. He lost the FX Network Championship - to Loco Martinez. He lost his girlfriend Jen X - to the Agents of Destiny. And now it wouldn't surprise me if he lost his high profile status as Loco Martinez shows he's just a joke.

Jimmy Yates: Let's not get into predictions tonight. I'm sure there will be plenty of that on Sunday.

Alan Ducard: Three individuals all made the case to get a No Limits title shot at DESTINED FOR GREATNESS, and the front office determined that a four-way would be the best way to go.

Jimmy Yates: With the well-documented history between Crazy Boy and Ethan Leers, not to mention the very heated battles that Damien Black and Chris Turner have been through, you know to expect fireworks there. Recently things heated up between Ethan Leers and Damien Black...

Bryan Harris: Don't forget that Damien Black is the guy who Crazy Boy beat to get the No Limits Title...

Alan Ducard: That match is tightly wound with disdain. Should be beautiful for all those who enjoy carnage and chaos.

Jimmy Yates: John Thomas has been attempting to get out of his father's shadow ever since he found out that his dad was wrestling hall of famer (and LEGACY Owner) Rob Belote, and to get his career taken to the next level, John Thomas has targetted Greyson Blade, who he has stated is over-rated...

Bryan Harris: Because he is. The Outlaw has quite a few accomplishments in his career, but they don't include a victory over John Thomas. The boss' boy is undefeated against Blade in singles competition, and when John Thomas beats him on DESTINED FOR GREATNESS, we're going to witness the birth of greatness inside an awesome young talent.

Alan Ducard: Just like with the No Limits Title match, three teams made plays to get the chance for a shot at the World Tag Team Championship titles at DESTINED FOR GREATNESS, and due to the circumstances surrounding the Flying Avengers' recent matches against HgH and Domination, all three of those teams get the opportunity to take the belts from the Agents of Destiny.

Jimmy Yates: And just like last year's tag title match at DESTINED FOR GREATNESS, this year's will also be a four-way ladder match. Given how last year's contest went, I'm guessing this year's will be fantastic as well.

Bryan Harris: There's no doubt about it. LEGACY has one of the best tag team divisions of all time, and these teams are going to go all out, do whatever it takes to walk away with the tag straps currently in possession of the Agents of Destiny.

Alan Ducard: Every year, LEGACY hosts the Hawkins Memorial Tournament in honor of Dave Hawkins, and we're down to the final two competitors in this year's installment - Cade Sydal and Jester Smiles.

Jimmy Yates: In his first run in LEGACY, Cade Sydal helped give HUGE credibility to the Tao of Valor Championship wearing a mask and calling himself The Strong Style Dragon - having legendary matches along the way. Jester Smiles - in his short time in LEGACY so far, has already captured the FX Network Championship. They're both big names in this business - probably both future Hall of Famers, and they're almost certain to have a great match on Sunday night with the big trophy on the line.

Bryan Harris: You'd have to think that whoever wins that tournament final match will be in line soon to get a World Championship opportunity - even though it's not explicitly a reward of winning.

Alan Ducard: Speaking of earning title shots, Issac Entragian was victorious in the Co-Op Challenge back at Glimmer of Hope, and in doing so, he got a guaranteed opportunity to fight in the main event of DESTINED FOR GREATNESS with the World Title on the line.

Jimmy Yates: That same night, X-Calibur was victorious over Loco Martinez, bringing home the World Championship for a second time and putting himself into the history books.

Bryan Harris: Sunday's main event should be a great prize fight between two of the business' best. If those matches aren't enough to get you to purchase DESTINED FOR GREATNESS live on pay per view? I got no idea what to tell ya.

Stephen Rawlings vs Kenji Yamada

Jimmy Yates: I can’t wait to see our next match, as the highly accomplished Kenji Yamada makes his much anticipated LEGACY debut against a man who has held almost all the titles and won almost all of the accomplishments that LEGACY has to offer, former World Champion Stephen Rawlings.

Alan Ducard: The primary storyline behind this one is that Stephen Rawlings was getting somewhat tired of all the fanfare Kenji Yamada was receiving upon his debut, and when Kenji asked him for a match, Rawlings stated that he would only do so under REGULAR match rules – diverting this match from what might’ve been a brutal bloodfest had it been under No Limits rules.

Bryan Harris: Of course it would’ve been, because that’s Kenji’s strong point. You have to give it to Rawlings, he’s going to take Kenji out of his element here tonight and force him to compete outside the setting that Yamada thrives in.

Jimmy Yates: I personally don’t think it’s going to make that much of a difference. Kenji Yamada isn’t just some one-trick pony who is only good when he’s able to make people bleed by using various weapons, the guy is a major MAJOR talent who has had himself some serious accomplishments over the years… and I’m looking forward to seeing some good wrestling.

Alan Ducard: How will this one transpire? Let’s presently get to the footage to find out.

Start of Match Footage

Rawlings whips Kenji into the ropes, and attempts to follow up with a clothesline with a clothesline but Kenji easily ducks underneath it and continues to the ropes. Kenji rebounds off the ropes and as Rawlings turns around Kenji jumps forward onto Rawlings wrapping his legs around Rawlings waist and locking in a front face lock. Kenji uses all of his weight to lean backwards and drop Rawlings with a DDT!

Alan Ducard: Great counter to Rawlings clothesline by Kenji.

Jimmy Yates: Kenji hasn't let go of his grip and has Rawlings in a guillotine choke.

Bryan Harris: Kenji is trying to show tha the can go toe to toe with Rawling in a wrestling match without having to resort to hardcore violence he is is known by.

Kenji does not release his hands but rather pulls tighter on the guillotine choke! Kenji lets out a primal scream as he pulls his arm tighter and tighter around Rawlings neck! Rawlings squirms and tries to get free and the ref tries to determine if the choke is legal when Rawlings gets a foot on the bottom rope and the ref makes Kenji break the hold.

Kenji breaks the hold, but quickly sends a knee into the head of Rawlings. Kenji spins Rawlings around and and puts his head under the second rope then grabs Rawlings by his knees and falls back causing Rawlings to slingshot up slams his neck into the second rope. Kenji quickly hops to the top rope and jumps off attempting to leg drop Rawlings neck across the bottom rope, but at the last second Rawlings rolls out of the way holding his neck and Kenji lands tailbone first on the apron and rolls off the mat onto the ringside floor.

Jimmy Yates: There is a reason they are called high risk maneuvers and that is why.

Alan Ducard: If Kenji would of his that move this match may possibly have been over, but now as they say the tide has turned.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~FLASH FORWARD~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rawlings pulls Kenji's arms behind him and then delivers a tiger suplex, Rawlings attempts to do this with a bridge for a pin attempt, but as he they land Kenji rolls with the force to break the bridge attempt. Rawlings gets to his feet quickly and delivers a standing dropkick sending Kenji into the corner.
Jimmy Yates: For the past ten minutes or so since that botched leg drop rawlings has been in control.
Bryan Harris: Don't count Kenji out just yet, as they say it's not over until it's over.
Rawlings takes a step back then runs into the corner and hits a big splash on Kenji. He then takes Kenji and lifts him up onto the top turnbuckle. Rawlings then climbs up to the top turnbuckle and pulls Kenji to his feet. Rawling s goes for a Superplex, but Kenji blocks it.
Alan Ducard: No matter what happens here this isn't going to turn out good.
Kenji some how spins around behind Rawlings and drops to a seated position almsot like he crotched himself on the ropes, but as he does this he simultaneously hooks his feet under the steel turnbuckle rod and grabs Rawlings around the waist launching him halfway across the ring with a belly to back suplex. A small pop comes from the crowd even though they are not sure if they should cheer Kenji they still pop for the move.
Kenji feet still hooked under the turnbuckle rod pulls himself up and rests for a brief moment before standing on top of the turnbuckle and then jumping off and connecting with a moonsault. Kenji rolls of of Rawlings holding his ribs for a moment before hooking the leg and goign for the cover.
Thr..kick out
Both the crowd and Kenji are shocked as Kenji just shakes his his head and pulls Rawlings to his feet.
Jimmy Yates: Rawlings must have called in a miracle to kick out of the belly to back superplex followed up by a moonsault.
Bryan Harris: I believe he did know Paul Jarvis so a miracle isn't completely out of the question.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~flash forward~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rawlings has Kenji in a sleeper hold in the middle of the ring and the ref checks to see if it is a choke and it is not. Kenji starts to fade and Rawlings drops to one knee, but Kenji tries to fight it and sends an elbow into Stephen's jaw. Rawlings shakes it off and whips Kenji into the turnbuckles and sends him up over his shoulder with a high angled back body drop and follows it up with a rolling knee shades of Harley Race.

Alan Ducard: Both men giving it their all out there tonight trying to prove to the front office that they deserve a spot on future pay per views, and future title shots.

Rawlings pulls Kenji to his feet, and lifts Kenji up for a shoulder breaker, but Kenji wiggles free and goes for a quick savate kick, but Rawlings is able to catch his foot, but isn't quick enough to duck the other as Kenji levels him with a enziguri and covers him.

Kick out

Kenji is visibly frustrated and while the ref checks to see if Rawlings is OK Kenji goes to the corner and starts untying the top turnbuckle.

Alan Ducard: So much for Kenji trying to out wrestle Rawlings.

Rawlings sees Kenji messing with the turnbuckle and goes to sneak up on him, but it appears as if Kenji was playing possum as when Rawlings gets close Kenji spins behind him and rolls him up in a school boy and the turnbuckle looks to still be attached like the others.

Bryan Harris: See Kenji was just fixing that turnbuckle so no one got hurt.

Kenji puts all of his weight into the school boy roll up and the ref drops to make the count.

One

Kenji apparently put too much force into the roll up and at the last second Rawlings pops out and grabs Kenji by the arm and rolls him up with the the La Magistral Cradle.

One

Three

Josephina Colbert: Your winner, Stephen Rawlings.

Kenji looks up visibly upset as Rawlings does the smart thing and bails out of the ring as soon as the ref raises his hand. Rawlings makes his way to the back as Kenji gets up and kicks the bottom turnbuckle. He grabs a chair and tosses it and it clangs against the steel ring steps. Then just as quickly as his temper had came he appears calm and just walks off towards the back.

Alan Ducard: Stephen Rawlings with quite a high profile victory here tonight, the very technical pinning combination used to get the three-count.

Jimmy Yates: I’m not entirely sure that Kenji Yamada knew how to get out of that one…

Bryan Harris: You can bet your ass he did, but it might’ve just taken him by surprise.

Alan Ducard: Kenji Yamada is quite a talented bloke, and there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s been put into a Magistral Cradle before and probably gotten out of it… but tonight, against a phenomenal wrestler like Rawlings, he wasn’t able to.

Jimmy Yates: Maybe…. Maybe Kenji should stick to hardcore.

Bryan Harris: LEGACY is in a heap-load of trouble if Yamada decides he’s going to take out his frustrations in No Limits matches. He’s a sadist just like Damien Black and Chris Turner and Issac Entragian… only possibly WORSE!!

Earlier Tonight

We are watching a dejected Anarchy trudge back to their locker room after the loss to International Incident. They stop abrubtly stop when two duffle bags are thrown at their feet. They recognize the bags, and are perplexed.

T.Rex: What the-

We pull back to see who threw their bags at them. Standing there looking incredibly annoyed, disappointed, and down right pissed, is Loco Martinez.

Loco Martinez: Lets go.

T.Rex and Arch Angel look nervously at one another. The tone in Loco's voice is that of an over competitive father disappointed in his child's latest athletic failure.

T.Rex: n-n-nNOW?!

Arch Angel: We haven't showered yet.

Loco scoffs and takes two steps towards the men, who both flinch, despite outweighing Loco by a combined hundred of pounds.

Loco Martinez: You're damn right, NOW! That? *Loco points to where Anarchy was coming from* That's DONE. You will NOT keep going out there and embarrassing yourself... no... embarrassing ME, and MY good name! I've sat and watched you two flounder and struggle to maintain any sense of credibility, and all of that is gone. So? You're done. Grab your bags. Lets go.

Loco turns and takes a few steps, and senses neither man moves. He whirls around, fury in his eyes.

Loco Martinez: NOW!

T.Rex: But... but... we wanna wrestle. We wanna be tag champs.

Loco Martinez: I want a three some with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johanson, but guess what? I'm gonna have to settle for a couple of "look a likes", cuz that just ain't gonna happen. So if you want to continue to follow your pipe dream?

Loco thinks it over and sneers.

Loco Martinez: That's fine... but you do it without ME. Without the exposure working for me has gotten you. Without the Cirque Du MoFo brand name. You think you can get ANYWHERE on your own? Then grab your bags and walk away from me. I. DARE. YOU!

The two large men's head hang low like scolded dogs. They don't move. As if they're weighing their options. Loco's voice softens, but still carries a dickish tone.

Loco Martinez: You work for me. You work with the Cirque. You just don't wrestle anymore. No more chasing this pipe dream. I mean, c'mon... you two are two of the oldest guys in the Fed... and you think you're gonna keep up with Domination? With the Avengers? Its over. We're not doing this anymore. I will not be a part of this. Pick up your bags. Meet me at the car. You have five minutes. Or, grab your bags... take your shower, and just wait and see how long before Managelote is wishing you luck in your future endeavors. The choice is yours.

Loco turns on his heel and quickly marches off. The two men stand there. AFter Loco is out of eyesight T.Rex turns.

T.Rex: What do you think?

Angel sighs.

Arch Angel: I think he'll be wrestling a lot longer than we'll be wrestling.... I think...

Angel reaches down and slowly picks up his duffle bag and begins to slowly trudge after Loco. T.Rex looks over his shoulder longing for the ring, but finally reaches down and grabs his bag and walks after Angel and Loco.

Featured Main Event Grudge Match
Matthew Dawson vs Devastation

Alan Ducard: Well ladies and gentlemen its finally time for our Main Event of the evening seeing “The Highlight of the Night” Matthew Dawson taking on Devastation in the very definition of a grudge match.

Jimmy Yates: You’re right about that one Alan, this particular feud has been going on and off since this past December. These two have feuded over the ToV Title, and over time between costing each other matches, and flat out public humiliation, this rivalry has become undeniably personal.

Bryan Harris: This will be a long-standing hatred for sure Jimbo, and I know that this match will be likely the last time we see this two match up for awhile, but we could see either of these guys competing against each for gold again down the road. Devastation is a quality, veteran competitor for sure, but Matthew Dawson has already begun to make his mark as THE future of this industry. Tonight I think he takes that next step and beats Devastation here on Destined for Greatness weekend.

Alan Ducard: Well that’s a bold prediction Bryan, but you could be right. Dawson has found a way to beat Devastation and a variety of other opponents before, and even in a loss he had a great showing against Cade Sydal in the Hawkins Tournament.

Jimmy Yates: He definitely did Alan, but this is a HUGE match, coming in our main event, and Devastation is a big match fighter. He will be bringing his very best, and I look for him to come out on top tonight.

Alan Ducard: Well, we’ll find out just which one of you will be correct here in just a few moments, and without further ado, let’s roll the footage of our main event.

Start of Match Footage

Close up of a face twisted in pain and anguish – a close up of Devastation.

The former multiple-level, multiple time Champion has just returned to a seated position, only for the Highlight of the night to gain speed off the ropes and kick him directly in this the spine.

Alan Ducard: The Highlight of the Night maintains control and continues to abuse Devastation as this contest continues to grow in intensity.

Jimmy Yates: Well there is no sugar-coating the fact that these two men flat out despise each other and what each man feels the other represents to the industry at large.

Bryan Harris: It’s the future versus the past in this one Jimbo, and I think from how this match has progressed and now with Dawson in control that indeed “the future is now”.

Alan Ducard: Matthew Dawson now off the ropes again, and there’s a dropkick to the face, knocking Devastation out of the seated position and right back to the canvas. With Devastation now prone on the canvas, Dawson comes off the ropes and he delivers the knee drop to the skull, attempting to stun his opponent.

Jimmy Yates: I hate to say it but I’m impressed with Dawson’s speed here guys – for a man of 240-some pounds he’s moving with much more quickness and agility than a man his size should be able to move.

Bryan Harris: Dawson has upped the ante for this match Jimbo.

Alan Ducard: Dawson off and running to the ropes … SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT BACK ON TO DEVASTATION! DAWSON WITH THE QUICK COVER!

ONE

TWO

THR-NO! - Devastation manages to get the shoulder up, and the future will have to wait just a wee bit longer.

Bryan Harris: You sounded a bit sarcastic there Al –

Alan Ducard: Poppycock Bryan, I’m merely stating a fact, and keeping our focus on the match, The Highlight of the Night has Devastation back to a standing position, and he lifts him up with the inverted atomic drop, and INTO A QUICK DDT! DAWSON WITH ANOTHER COVER!

ONE

TWO

THRE-NO! – Again Devastation gets the shoulder up, and Matthew Dawson is beginning to show some signs of frustration.

Jimmy Yates: It’s almost as if he expects guys to just roll over for him. A few failed pin attempts and you can see the agitation starting to grow in him.

Bryan Harris: Perhaps they should know better than to keep trying Jimbo, besides, that aggravation seems to make Dawson only more ruthless in his offense.

Alan Ducard: The Highlight of the Night is waiting for Devastation to get to his feet, and Dawson off the ropes and catching him from behind with the facecrusher, slamming Devastation’s skull into the canvas. From the looks of things, Dawson is now looking to take things to the air as he’s climbing the buckles.

Jimmy Yates: Devastation isn’t moving guys, and if Dawson connects this could be all she wrote.

Alan Ducard: The Highlight of the Night now sizing Devastation up and he leaps for the SENTON – NO! Devastation gets his knees up and plants them firmly in Dawson’s spine! Dawson rolls away in anguish, clutching his back – and Devastation is now back in control of this match as Dawson is in a world of pain.

Devastation moves in quickly on Dawson and picks him up only to drive an elbow into his face and knock him back into the turnbuckles. Devastation knees him repeatedly in the corner before hooking the arm and taking him out of the corner with a textbook snap suplex. Devastation chooses to keep on the attack rather than floating over, and he sends Dawson off with the Irish whip, and he catches him on the rebound with …

Alan Ducard: An OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! Devastation just sent Dawson flying through the air and he almost sent him through the ropes with that toss. Dawson is trying to pull himself out of the ropes, and Devastation looks like he’s ready to take out months of aggression on The Highlight of the Night, starting right now.

Devastation pulls Dawson to his feet and fires off a wicked, stinging chop that echoes through the Garden, and follows up with another that sends Dawson staggering away from the ropes, clutching his chest. As Dawson moves forward, Devastation moves in behind and applies the waistlock. Devastation then lifts Dawson up backwards and overhead only to slam him into the canvas with a ferocious German suplex. Unfortunately for Dawson whose body jars with the impact, Devastation is not finished as he keeps his arms locked, pulling The Highlight of the Night back to his feet in the waistlock.

Alan Ducard: Devastation looks to suplex Matthew Dawson once more, and he takes him up and over for a second, textbook German suplex!

Jimmy Yates: Look at the determination on Devastation’s face. He wants to beat Matthew Dawson, and he’s going to suplex Dawson straight to hell if he has to do it!

Alan Ducard: Devastation still has those arms locked and he’s bringing Dawson up AGAIN for another German suplex, and Dawson is slumping in Devastation’s arms.

Bryan Harris: I haven’t seen Devastation this motivated in a long time guys – if he’s ever displayed this kind of malice and hatred. I know this is looking bad for Matthew Dawson, but it’s amazing how he has “pushed Devastation’s buttons” like this.

Alan Ducard: Well those months of mind games have bought Dawson a fourth German suplex!

Bryan Harris: It also bought him a victory over Devastation in a Last Man Standing match to win the ToV Title!

Dawson hits hard and Devastation maintains that lock around Dawson’s body. He takes The Highlight of the night up high (Devastation is 6’ 8”) and slams him down for a fifth and final time as he maintains position on the impact and keeps Dawson in the pinning hold!

Alan Ducard: Devastation with the pin after FIVE GERMAN SUPLEXES!

ONE

TWO

THRE-NO! – Matthew Dawson gets the shoulder up! Devastation looks shocked, the fans in the arena are shocked and disappointed, but the official signals, indeed that was a two count.

Devastation looks down at Dawson in disgust and rips him roughly to his feet, and tosses Dawson to the turnbuckles and charges in and delivers a wicked clothesline in the corner. He fires of a stinging chop, then another, then another, receiving the obligatory “wooo” from the capacity crowd here in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Devastation mixes in a jab, a back elbow, and then delivers a final chop before sending Dawson off with the Irish whip, and on the return he delivers a kick to the face that drives Dawson down into the canvas.

Jimmy Yates: Suplexes, strikes, and submissions – the three S’s that describe Devastation – and we’ve seen two of the three so far tonight, and I have a feeling with the amount of torment that Matthew Dawson put him through, we’ll be seeing that final S – submissions here from Devastation this evening.

Devastation pulls Dawson to his feet, and he tosses Dawson to the ropes, and tries taking him over with hip toss as a quick set up for a triangle choke, but Dawson flips through the toss and lands on his feet in front of Devastation! Dawson then slips through under Devastation’s arm and takes the larger man back up and over with a belly to back suplex. Dawson rolls back to his feet, and pulls Devastation up and attempts the Irish whip, but Devastation tosses him hard into the buckles. Devastation charges in, but Dawson meet him with a boot to the face, knocking the big man back and turning him away from Dawson. Matthew then springs up to the top rope and leaps off …

Alan Ducard: TOP ROPE BULLDOG! Dawson crawls quickly to make the cover!

ONE

TWO

THR-NO! – Devastation kicks out, and the fans here breathe a sigh of relief. Dawson now pulling Devastation to his feet and there’s the Irish whip and Devastation slams face first into the turnbuckles, and he staggers back out to Dawson. The Highlight of the Night hooks him and there’s a Russian leg sweep! Dawson is up quickly and … he flips through the jackknife pin!

ONE

TWO

THRE-NO! - Again Devastation kicks out, powering out of the pin!

Bryan Harris: Devastation did kick out, but Dawson has him staggered and reeling.

Jimmy Yates: This match has been back and forth this whole time, so don’t be surprised if control of this match for either fighter is tenuous at best Bryan.

Dawson waits for Devastation to get back to his feet, and just as Devastation rises up, Dawson goes for a kick to the midsection that Devastation catches, but immediately Dawson flips through and connects with an enziguri, getting the height to kick Devastation in the back of the head, dropping the big man down to the canvas. The Highlight of the Night pulls Devastation to his feet, moves in behind him, and leaps up going for an inverted codebreaker.

Alan Ducard: Dawson going for the same move he used to beat Hazard in the Hawkins Tournament, but Devastation holds on to the ring ropes and Dawson flies back to the canvas. The Highlight of the Night now charging at Devastation, and Dawson is kicked square in the chest and knocked right back to the mat. Devastation moving in on Matthew and he takes him over his shoulder with the fireman’s carry, and into A FIREMAN’S CARRY NECKBREAKER! Devastation with the cover!

ONE

TWO

THRE-NO! – Dawson gets the shoulder up!

Jimmy Yates: Devastation really is doing a great job in targeting the neck for the Decapitator – but that’s just why he is one of the best wrestling tacticians and technicians in the business.

Bryan Harris: No disagreement on that point Jimbo, but there is only one real “STAR” in that ring, and that is The Elite, The Highlight of the Night, Matthew Dawson.

Jimmy Yates: Well … that “STAR” just might have to tap out here as Devastation has taken Dawson down and he has him in a crossface submission!

Alan Ducard: He does indeed have Dawson locked down in that submission hold James, that third of your three “S’s” that you commented about earlier.

Jimmy Yates: Listen to this crowd Alan, they love seeing Dawson in this kind of pain, and they are cheering for him to “Tap” right here, right now!

Matthew feels the torque on his neck, on his shoulder, his arm locked down by Devastation is the textbook, most effective application of the hold. Dawson claws at the canvas in agony, doing all he can to pull him and the larger Devastation to the ropes and block out the pain.

Bryan Harris: Look at that intestinal fortitude guys – Dawson is fighting the pain and pushing towards the ropes with that one arm!

Jimmy Yates: He is but he’s slowing down Bryan – I don’t think he’s going to be able to hold out.

Alan Ducard: Devastation is wrenching that hold on tighter here, and Dawson’s hand is stretching out for the rope … and HE CAN’T REACH! He might have to submit right here! The official is down, checking on Dawson … and The Highlight of the Night makes the ropes!

The crowd that had been roaring for the impending submission lets out a collective groan as Devastation breaks the hold, but there is no break as Devastation immediately grabs Dawson in the half-nelson and takes him back up and over with a massive half-nelson suplex, immediately re-energizing the crowd after the failed submission!

Alan Ducard: Devastation maintains control with that big suplex, and now he’s motioning for it. Dawson staggering to his feet, and he walks into Devastation who takes him up and spins him out of the torture rack into a piledriver! DEVASTATION DRIVER! Devastation now with the cover!

ONE

TWO

THRE-NO! – Dawson kicks out of the Devastation Driver, and this one will continue.

Jimmy Yates: It will Alan, but not for much longer, Devastation is up and he’s signaling for it … Decapitator time!

Alan Ducard: Devastation scoops but …. HE ENDS UP SPIKED ON TO HIS HEAD AS DAWSON REVERSES THE DECAPITATOR INTO A FLIP PILEDRIVER! Dawson with the cover!

ONE

TWO

THRE-NO! Devastation manages to get his shoulder off the canvas.

Jimmy Yates: Devastation withstands that amazing reversal, but Dawson is still in control!

Dawson moves in behind a stunned Devastation, and catches him by the head, and falls back, hitting that inverted codebreaker, spiking his knees into Devastation’s head/neck, jarring Devastation’s entire body as Dawson moves in, rolling Devastation up by his legs, and as the official goes to count, Dawson puts his feet on the ropes!

Alan Ducard: The rope assisted cover by Dawson!

ONE

Jimmy Yates: Dawson is going to steal this match!

Alan Ducard: TWO – NO! The official looks up and sees the feet on the ropes and he stops the count, and Dawson is LIVID! Dawson yelling something at the official and he heads to the turnbuckles, and now begins loosening them, but he’s thwarted again by the official!

The fans are going crazy as the official gets Dawson out of the corner who looks like he’s ready to flatten the referee, but he barely restrains himself to avoid the DQ. Dawson turns, kicks Devastation in the head, and then exits the ring.

Jimmy Yates: Dawson out of the ring now, and he has a chair! Dawson has a steel chair and he’s bringing it back into the ring – this is totally uncalled for here.

Bryan Harris: Maybe Dawson just wants to show Devastation what he would have used that chair for against Cade Sydal if Devastation hadn’t stuck his nose where it didn’t belong.

Alan Ducard: Dawson now back in the ring with the steel, rearing back, and the official grabs the steel! He rips the chair away from Dawson! Dawson glares at him as he turns to toss the steel out of the ring, and Devastation is up and he grabs Dawson in the waistlock … LOW BLOW! Dawson with that reverse kick and Devastation goes down. Dawson with the cover!

ONE

TWO

THREE-NO!

Jimmy Yates: Dawson can’t believe it! Devastation took the low blow and kicked out! Dawson is going crazy – he’s up in the official’s face, screaming for the three count, and he kicks the living hell out of Devastation, just kicking away like a man possessed.

Alan Ducard: Dawson pulling Devastation up and he tosses him to the ropes, and he motions for it … he’s going for the Ultimate Highlight! Dawson moves in on Devastation in the corner, hooking him and lifting him up to the top rope. Dawson climbing up with Devastation … WHO HOOKS HIM AND HE GOES OVER THE SHOULDER, DEVASTATION TURNS AND HITS A TOP ROPE DECAPITATOR!

Jimmy Yates: Dawson is OUT! Devastation dropped him on his skull from the top rope, and this one is over!

The fans are going crazy as Devastation pulls himself back to his feet and looks down at Dawson but instead of covering him, he pulls Dawson to his feet with a look of rage in his eyes. He lifts Dawson up and …

Alan Ducard: A SECOND DECAPITATOR! That puts the exclamation point on this one! Devastation goes for the cover with the crowd roaring in approval …

ONE and the crowd is counting along!

TWO

THREE!

The bell rings and the crowd goes crazy as Josephina Colbert announces the victor.

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner … DEVASTATION!

The crowd cheers the announcement as the official raises Devastation’s hand and he stands over a fallen Matthew Dawson.

Alan Ducard: He has done it! Devastation has finally put down Matthew Dawson once and for all, and you have to give it to both of them, this one was a FANTASTIC ending to a great night of action, probably a match we’ll remember for quite a while!

Jimmy Yates: I have to say it, I had my doubts in there about whether Devastation was going to be able to get it done. Matthew Dawson seems sooo resilient, I just thought he was going to find a way to weasel through a victory.

Bryan Harris: Yeah, well, the better man didn’t win tonight, but Matthew Dawson will get some rest and then get right back in this ring to continue his ascent to the top of this business, mark my words!

Standing up onto the second turnbuckle, Devastation looks out over the cheering crowd, his face expressionless, but his body showing that he’s proud of his victory. Behind him, pyro begins to burst up from the other two corners of the ring and from either side of the entrance curtain. That’s the parting shot of tonight’s pre-show broadcast, as it fades to black with Devastation still standing victoriously on the second turnbuckle.
