The show opens on a shot of Alan Ducard, Bryan Harris and Jimmy Yates sitting behind the announce table at the recap position. Behind them is the typical backdrop - the burgundy velvet set in front of a black wall, with maize colored ropes used to tie the curtains decoratively. Behind them is not the usual LEGACY sign, but one used in promotional materials for the Eleventh Hour event. Alan Ducard: Good evening everyone and welcome to Chicago, Illinois. I'm your host for the evening, Alan Ducard, alongside my fellow co-hosts Jimmy Yates and Bryan Harris. Jimmy Yates: The eleventh LEGACY pay per view weekend is upon us, and tonight's action should serve as a good appetizer for Sunday night's festivities. Bryan Harris: Yeah, let's get this straight, since people don't like to feel like they're being manipulated. This pre-show is here to help convince you, the viewers, to order Sunday's "ELEVENTH HOUR" pay per view. Alan Ducard: With the seven great matches set to take place on Sunday night's pay per view, I don't think anyone's going to be sorry they spent the last bit of their weekend with LEGACY. Jimmy Yates: Even though we're trying to convince people to tune in 48 hours from now, we do have a great lineup for you tonight to look forward to. Bryan Harris: Enough talk, fellas. Odds are, people didn't tune in tonight on accident, so they're going to stick around through the entire show - match by match, entertained by the high level of competition typical of what LEGACY produces. Let's get down to business.
Jimmy Yates: The opening match of the evening has been a long time coming for these two. Growing up in Japan, Osamu Hayashi and Katsuro Yoshida were members of the acclaimed “Bushido Buntai”, and when they showed up in LEGACY, there were high expectations for what they could accomplish. Alan Ducard: Katsuro had some success, winning the No Limits Title, but when he got into the ring with Osamu Hayashi, you could tell that they just weren’t clicking like they had on the other side of the Pacific. Bryan Harris: A lot of people will tell you that something was wrong with Osamu Hayashi, maybe that he wasn’t adjusting very well to being in the United States, but the truth is that Osamu Hayashi was being held back by Katsuro Yoshida, not allowed to have fun and forced to be nice to the fans and play up to seem like a nice guy, but now we’re definitely seeing the real side of Osamu Hayashi, and I hope he never goes back to that watered-down version. Alan Ducard: It’s undeniable that Osamu Hayashi has been more successful since joining up with the Agents of Destiny, but it was quite surprising that he joined that group, turning his back on his life-long friend and mentor. Jimmy Yates: Frankly, I’m surprised this match is happening. At first when Osamu showed his stripes, Katsuro Yoshida seemed to almost be ignoring it. It actually wasn’t until recently that Yoshida actually stepped up and reacted to the situation, stopping Osamu from using a chair in his match against Herb Moxley. Bryan Harris: You can still see it in his eyes, Jimbo, the killer instinct – Katsuro doesn’t have it in this situation. Right now he’s just in damage control, and I don’t think that’s going to cut it here tonight. Alan Ducard: Regardless of who wins, this should be a good way to start the night. Let’s get to the footage to see what transpires. Start of Match Footage Taking Katsuro by the wrist, Osamu shuffles his feet and shoots him across the ring into the opposite ropes. After taking a few steps forward, Hayashi takes Yoshida down with a drop toe hold. Rolling backwards, Osamu Hayashi quickly gets back to his feet and dives forward and connects with a low dropkick to the side of Katsuro’s head. Crowd: OOOHHH!!! Bryan Harris: If there was any doubt about whether Osamu Hayashi could inflict some serious damage on a guy he used to consider his best friend? There’s your answer. Alan Ducard: That was quite a vicious dropkick, and Osamu is keeping in on the attack! Returning to his feet, Osamu Hayashi starts stomping and kicking his former mentor, causing him to start rolling to the side to avoid the kicks. As Osamu follows him, Katsuro is forced to roll out of the ring underneath the bottom rope. Jimmy Yates: Great veteran move by Katsuro Yoshida, and I’m surprised he’s able to keep his calm in this highly tense match. Bryan Harris: I think Osamu has something in mind for a follow-up! Running into the opposite ropes, Osamu Hayashi builds up a tremendous amount of speed and dives through the ropes, aimed right at his opponent, but Katsuro sees it coming and moves out of the way, and Osamu crashes down onto the bottom of the entrance ramp. Crowd: HO-LY SH*T!! HO-LY SH*T!! HO-LY SH*T!! Looking a little conflicted about having allowed his former protégé to fall into the entrance ramp with such impact, Katsuro reaches down and picks Osamu up off the arena floor. Some of the fans in the front row start stomping their feet repeatedly, reaching over the steel guardrail and pointing at the barrier in front of them. Katsuro looks at the commotion makers who plead for Yoshida to send his opponent into the guardrail. For a moment, Katsuro considers it, but then he simply rolls Hayashi back into the ring and then follows in behind him. Alan Ducard: Good decision, Katsuro. Someday you’re going to reconcile with Osamu, so be cautious about what you do to him now. Bryan Harris: Thinking like that is going to lead to Katsuro Yoshida on the losing end of this match… and for that reason, I hope you’re right. I hope he continues to have self restraint! After getting to his feet, Katsuro picks up Osamu off the mat from behind. Trying not to let Yoshida get in too much offense, Hayashi fires backwards with a couple elbow shots which connect to the side of the head. Katsuro battles through, grabs Osamu around the abdomen, lifts up and falls backwards, sending Hayashi down to the mat with a back drop suplex. Jimmy Yates: Say what you want about Katsuro’s self restraint, good moves like that can be very effective, especially against smaller competitors like Hayashi. Returning to his feet, Katsuro measures his opponent and then dives forwards, hitting a standing falling headbutt to the sternum. Rolling over onto his back, Yoshida hooks the leg and goes for the pinfall attempt. One… Two… No! Bryan Harris: Katsuro’s being way too optimistic if he thinks that’s all it’s going to take to put away Hayashi. Alan Ducard: I don’t think he wants this match to progress any longer than it has to, given that he didn’t want to have to fight his former protégé in the first place. Taking Osamu by the arm, Katsuro keeps in on the offensive by lifting him up off the mat, switching up and grabbing him by the leg. Yoshida holds on and goes for the dragon screw leg whip, but Hayashi flips his leg over first, lands it on the mat, and then he’s able to fire backwards with a blind mule kick that connects with Katsuro’s crotch, keeping him on his knees. Jimmy Yates: That hurts just to watch… Bryan Harris: I don’t know if Katty Yosh planned on having any little Bushidos, but that kick just hurt his chances… Shaking off some of the pain, Osamu takes a couple steps back, then moves forward a couple steps, lifts his right leg, then swings his left leg over and connects to the side of Katsuro’s head with an enzuigiri, getting a bit of Yoshida’s forearm in the process as Katsuro unsuccessfully tries to block it. As soon as Yoshida’s shoulders hit the mat, Hayashi hooks the leg and goes for a pinfall attempt… One… Two… NO!! Alan Ducard: That was close, but it looked like Katsuro got one of his forearms in the way to absorb some of the impact of that enzuigiri, so Osamu didn’t connect with it as hard as he might’ve normally. Frustrated, Osamu pounds his fist on the mat, then grabs Katsuro and picks him up off the mat. After a kick to the leg, Hayashi swings in with a haymaker, but Katsuro ducks it, spins Osamu around with a quick swing of his hand, then drives his shoulder into Osamu’s lower back and charges forward, sending Hayashi chest first into the corner turnbuckles. Backing out of the corner a little bit, Katsuro takes Osamu by the head and bends him backwards into position for a reverse ddt, but instead of dropping down to the mat, Yoshida slams Hayashi’s back onto his knee with a modified backbreaker, then grabs Osamu by the waistband and hoists him up and falls backwards, slamming him chest-first onto the mat with an inverted suplex. Jimmy Yates: Osamu is back on the mat, and I think this could be almost the end of the line for him! Bryan Harris: He might be small, but Hayashi can take some damage, and he’s not going to give up just yet! As Osamu struggles to get up off the mat, Katsuro sighs and reaches down, grabbing him by the arm and slowly pulls him back up. Before standing up completely, Hayashi pulls his arm away, drops back down to a knee and thrusts his arm upwards, doubling Yoshida over with a low blow. Jimmy Yates: Damn it, are you serious?! What kind of a guy does that to a life-long friend?! Bryan Harris: The kind of guy who realizes that he’s been held back for a long time, that’s who! Alan Ducard: Well as we’ve mentioned already, this is a No Limits match, so that’s perfectly legal… and it looks like Osamu’s headed to the outside… Jimmy Yates: As if the low blow wasn’t enough?! Bryan Harris: Nnnnnnnnnnnope! Chair time! Having reached under the ring, Osamu pulls a steel chair out and hops back up onto the apron and rolls underneath the bottom rope. Getting to his feet, Osamu takes the chair in hand and hoists it up onto his shoulder, looking down at Katsuro, who is still huddled up after the low blow. Ross Quattro moves in and says something to Hayashi, pleading for him not to use the chair. Alan Ducard: That smile on Osamu’s face is a clear sign that no matter how much pleading referee Ross Quattro does, it isn’t going to change Hayashi’s mind. With the fans booing, the grin gets bigger on Osamu’s face, and he lifts the chair off his shoulder, kisses it, then raises it up above his head. Before he can slam it downward, Hayashi is drilled in the gut with a spinning thrust kick from Katsuro, who then completely rises up off the mat, throwing his other leg up into the air as he jumps… KICK TO THE HEAD BY YOSHIDA!!! OSAMU DROPS TO THE MAT!! Jimmy Yates: Get the chair, Katsuro, and teach that kid a lesson!! Alan Ducard: I would’ve never thought that Yoshida would take a chair to his former protégé, but he’s picking up that chair, and I think these fans are looking forward to seeing him use the chair on Hayashi. Looking at the chair in his hands, Katsuro looks at Osamu as he starts to get up off the mat, but then he simply shakes his head once and tosses the chair over into the corner. Taking Osamu up off the mat, Yoshida grabs him by the head, then hooks underneath Hayashi’s knee and lifts him up high into the air, then he drops straight down with a fisherman’s brainbuster. Jimmy Yates: He floats over backwards and covers for the pinfall attempt…! ONE…! TWO…!! NO! Bryan Harris: It’s going to take a little bit more than that to put away Osamu Hayashi, and right about now Katsuro’s gotta be wishing he had used that chair. Jimmy Yates: I think Katsuro’s about to find a way to win without using the chair. Going over to the corner, Yoshida exits out onto the apron and climbs up to the top turnbuckle, measuring up Osamu, who is still laying on the mat. Not wasting any time, Katsuro leaps forwards, arms at his side, his forehead aimed right at Osamu’s sternum… …AND HE CONNECTS WITH NOTHING BUT MAT!! Bryan Harris: Thank God Osamu had enough left in the tank to get out of the way! Alan Ducard: That falling headbutt might’ve been all that Katsuro would’ve needed to put Osamu away… can he recover? Getting up to a knee, Osamu Hayashi surveys the scene, then gets up off the mat and heads directly to the corner where Katsuro earlier tossed the steel chair. Picking up the furniture-turned-weapon, Osamu gets out onto the apron and climbs the turnbuckles, struggling to get up there while holding the chair. Jimmy Yates: This might not be good… but Katsuro’s looking to get up off the mat… Springing up off the top rope with all his strength, Osamu turns a flip in mid-air and then places the chair underneath his leg just before he crashes down on the back of Katsuro’s neck, riding him down to the mat. Rolling over, Osamu grabs underneath Katsuro’s knee, hooking it, and rolling back into the pinfall position with all his leverage pulling down onto Yoshida’s shoulders… One… TWO… THREE. Quattro gets to his knees and signals for the bell. Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner by pinfall… Osamu……. Hay-ASHI !!! The camera looks down from the apron at Osamu Hayashi, who lays there with a grin on his face as the booing rolls in from the live crowd. Instead of getting to his feet, Osamu simply rolls aside and exits the ring. Alan Ducard: A huge victory there for Osamu Hayashi over his former mentor, and… wait a minute, what’s he doing? Walking up to the time keeper’s table, Osamu Hayashi picks up a tshirt and holds it up to the camera, showing it to be a Worldwide Bushido Buntai shirt. After using it to wipe the sweat out of his hair, Osamu then uses it to wipe away sweat from both of his armpits, then he laughs as he casually tosses it into the front row. Jimmy Yates: What a disrespectful thing to do… After all Katsuro Yoshida has done for him… Bryan Harris: Osamu Hayashi is a great athlete, a tremendous competitor, and he doesn’t owe any of his success to Katsuro Yoshida. The Agents of Destiny have a superstar-in-the-making right there, and you better believe that Mirage knew what he was doing when he recruited Osamu. Alan Ducard: After this win here tonight, I’m inclined to agree with you on that.
Alan Ducard: Our second match of the night was supposed to be one between “Iceman” Adam Davis and Worldwide Bushido Buntai member Kevin Oppenheimer, but an hour before the opening bell of the evening, we found out that it would not transpire. Jimmy Yates: Because the show hadn’t started yet, the cameramen weren’t ready to document anything, so we don’t have any footage to show you the details, but when Carter Franklin went to talk to Kevin Oppenheimer about something, he found the Brit bloodied up and unconscious on his locker room floor. Bryan Harris: Everyone was immediately assuming that Adam Davis had attacked Oppy, and that’s where the investigation went first… though I don’t know why no one thought to put blame on Katsuro Yoshida. Alan Ducard: That’s something of a ridiculous idea, Bryan. There’s no reason that Katsuro Yoshida would have attacked his own stablemate. Jimmy Yates: Yeah, and it turned out that Katsuro Yoshida was talking to the costume department staff regarding a wardrobe issue he was having, so it definitely wasn’t him. Bryan Harris: Well it wasn’t Adam Davis either, because when Carter Franklin, Landon Savage, and some security staff went to find him, he was busy chatting up Hannah Perez in the catering room. Alan Ducard: Suffice to say that a lot of people were surprised and confused when they found out that it wasn’t Adam Davis, but Hannah Perez and a couple others in the catering room confirmed that Adam Davis had been there for the better part of twenty minutes, and given the last time Katsuro Yoshida was said to have spoken to Kevin Oppenheimer, Davis has a clear alibi. Jimmy Yates: Something smells very fishy about that whole situation, and given the extent to which Oppy had been attacked, it was clearly a personal thing. I would’ve thought maybe Osamu Hayashi had done it, but his alibi checked out as well. Bryan Harris: Somebody did a damn good job at roughing up Ole Spikey Hair, and I can’t wait to find out who did it. Alan Ducard: Is it someone currently employed by LEGACY, someone from
Kevin’s past, or someone looking to make an impact before their
employment begins? I guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
Saliva’s “Hunt You Down” begins to play as we seen an arena marquee, and in the bright lights advertising the event spell out: ELEVENTH HOUR: “THE TRUE REVOLTIONARY” MARCUS MARION VS. “THE OUTLAW” GREYSON BLADE, I QUIT MATCH, TONIGHT! I am the master of this game There are video clips of Marcus Marion and Greyson Blade both hoisting up the LEGACY World Title. And I will gladly make you see Marcus Marion taps his reserves of strength to hoist up a bloodied Outlaw and drive him down with “The Revolutionary Thrill” piledriver on a steel chair. This is followed by The Outlaw hitting a devastating Killshot on Marion from the top rope. But you have thrown the gauntlet down Marcus drives the LEGACY World Title into Blade’s skull, which costs Blade what is now The No Limits Title, and The Outlaw slams a sledgehammer into Marion’s ribs, and then as he drops to the canvas, slams the hammer down into his chest. So I will gladly hunt you down The Outlaw attempts to attack Marcus Marion in the parking lot after Marion cost him the gold, only for Marion to instinctively dive out of the way, and in so doing pushes off of Susan Rhodes, tossing her into the path of the oncoming Outlaw. Blade’s shoulder hits Susan with a vicious crack, smashing her over the hood of a low-riding vehicle and into the windshield with a sickening exploding pop. And you know it's true Marcus Marion cheers on Nicolas Creed as he spills Blade’s blood post match using the ring post, and then Jake Blaine attacks Greyson with brass knuckles, leaving Marion to complete his plan by standing over Blade and taunting him on the mic. See the fear that's in your eyes The Outlaw and Marion stand toe to toe before the bell rings, the anticipation building. Well oh yeah, here we go again Blade and Marion trade punches, followed by Marion hitting multiple low blows on Greyson, which is then followed by Blade unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks on Marion in the corner. Hell yeah, here we go again Blade powerbombs Marion into a steel cage. Marion traps Blade’s arm in the cage, and then hyperextends it with an excruciatingly painful armbar. I'll fight forever The Outlaw fights like an animal in his Brick by Brick No DQ match with Marion, fighting off Jake Blaine’s interfering chairshots, Nicole’s breaking up off multiple pins, and completely battered, kicks out of Marion’s piledriver, much to Marion’s chagrin before finally passing out in a submission hold. And I will always Marion steps inside the ring during the Blade, CB, Domination match with The Diabolik, and reveals himself as their partner by driving a steel chair multiple times into The Outlaw’s skull. I'll fight forever Video footage from Strife 47 is shown as The Outlaw accepts The I Quit Match with Marion. And I will always The Killshot happens again. There was no way for him to stop – even if he had so desired. 290 pounds of rage and muscle meet 123 pounds of blonde beauty, immediately stopping her screams in her throat. The impact sends Nicole up into the air a bit away from The Outlaw, juggling her into the air such that as he descends from the strike, he hits her a second time and drives her violently into the canvas with his shoulder using his full weight to do so. Only the two of them could hear the wet snap, as the entire LEGACY crowd gasps at the force of the impact. Alan Ducard: OH … MY … GOD. Down Marion walks with Nicole and Susan Rhodes to the ring wearing The LEGACY World Title around his waist. Down The Outlaw walks to the ring with The LEGACY World Title over his shoulder. Down The screen flashes the words: THE TRUE REVOLTIONARY VS. THE OUTLAW Down The Original War
Jimmy Yates: In the past year, LEGACY’s tag team division has grown into arguably the best of its kind in the business. Domination is currently on a great run as the tag team champions, and there are a handful of teams who all make claim at being viable contenders to the gold. Alan Ducard: Our third match of the evening features the Agents of Destiny taking on Team H.g.H. – the pairing of Conrad Kirk and Joey Shepard. Bryan Harris: Team H.g.H.? They’re “Homies getting High”, Al. You can say that. It’s no big deal. They like to do drugs. We don’t have to condone it just because we’re saying their chosen tag team name. Jimmy Yates: I think we’ve been told by the office to not say their full name, but you’re not one to listen for rules, are you Bry? Alan Ducard: Gentlemen… This match goes back to animosities stirred up in previous matches, starting with the match between Conrad Kirk and Lucien Gray at STRIFE 45, causing the masked monster to begin to obsess over getting redemption for that loss, and also to the interactions between these two teams during the five-way tag match on STRIFE 47. Bryan Harris: Now one of these two teams gets a real opportunity to increase their standing here in the best tag team division in the business today. I already know who the clear favorite to win this match is, so let’s get to the footage to see whether or not the Agents of Destiny can live up to their potential… Jimmy Yates: OR if H.g.H. can continue their streak of great performances by pulling out a victory here tonight. Start of Match Footage Conrad Kirk and Marcus Mirage are in the ring. Conrad seems to have the advantage as Mirage is doubled over and in a wrist lock. Keeping the wrist locked with one arm Conrad uses his left fist and swings down like a hammer, nailing some clubbing blows to the back of Mirage’s neck. In the Homie’s corner Joey bounces on the low rope with excitement, while in the Agent’s Corner Lucien seems to be getting angrier by the second, his hands gripping the rope so hard his knuckles are turning white. Some more clubbing blows from the Cap’n and Mirage goes down to one knee, using raw strength Conrad picks up his opponent then twists his torso, tripping Mirage over Kirk’s extended leg in a judo-style takedown that takes Mirage off his feet. Conrad Kirk: GET UP! Conrad follows up with a stomp to the torso. Cap’n Kirk pulls Mirage up to his feet by the back of his head and sends him into the ropes. Mirage bounces off the ropes, charges back, only to be leveled from a textbook shoulder tackle from Conrad. Jimmy Yates: Conrad is all over Mirage, Its total domination. Bryan Harris: Domination? They’re not in this match, pay attention Jimbo. Conrad walks back into the ropes and bounces off at a moderate pace for some momentum, as Mirage tries to get up Conrad crashes down on him with a double axe handle smash, keeping Marcus grounded. Mirage charges at Conrad’s midsection with his shoulder, trying to shift momentum, but Conrad keeps the advantage and takes Mirage down with a gutwrench suplex!! Conrad walks back into the rope again for some more momentum, but Lucien is there standing on the ring edge – LUCIEN WITH A BLIND FIST TO CONRADS JAW!! The crowd “ooohs” in pain as Conrad’s neck and body twist with the blow. Jimmy Yates: Uncalled for! I think I saw a tooth fly out! Bryan Harris: I reckon it was a green tooth? Conrad turns to Lucien and the two men’s eyes light with fire and lock on as they stare at one another. The crowd suddenly ERUPTS as Joey Shepard is on the top turnbuckle in the blink of an eye. MISSLE DROP KICK TO LUCIEN!! Both White boy and Lucien Gray are sprawled outside the ring!! Conrad grins at White Boy’s excellent high flying vengeance but the joy is short lived as Mirage is up and behind his opponent. Mirage lands a stiff kidney punch then locks Conrad in an inverted headlock from behind – INVERTED DDT!! Alan Ducard: That will surely shift the momentum, and looks like he will go for it as well- Referee Klinton Porter is down for the count One… Two… Conrad’s shoulder is up!! The crowd cheers!! Jimmy Yates: Not enough to keep down the Cap’n!! Bryan Harris: From what I hear it takes two kegs and twenty dime bags to keep this guy down. Mirage doesn’t waste any time and he is up, delivering stomps to the back of Conrad’s head. Conrad manages to get too his feet, and Mirage nails the Cap’n in the face with a reverse elbow the sends him reeling. Conrad comes forward off of the impact and Mirage capitalizes, taking down the larger man with a drop toe hold, a heartbeat after he’s right there in an ankle lock. Alan Ducard: Excellent technical combination by Marcus. Conrad makes a pained face from the ankle lock. White boy and Lucien are now back in their corners. White boy slaps the turnbuckle with enthusiasm to rally his tag partner. To his own suffering Conrad is able to use his upper body strength to power himself forward– he grabs the low rope. Mirage takes a bit longer then is really legal and Klinton Porter points a finger at Mirage in warning that just makes Mirage smile, a reaction that seems to make the referee nervous. Mirage makes his way towards Lucien for the tag but Conrad somehow is up and grabs Mirage from behind. Mirage is caught off guard and easily whipped into the opposite turnbuckles. He stumbles off and Conrad favors one leg a bit due to the ankle lock tendon stretching, however Conrad is able to spring forward – DESPERATION CLOTHES LINE!! Mirage lands on the top part of his back, nearly folded in half!! Jimmy Yates: THE LUCY LARIOT! MIRAGE JUST FOLDED UP LIKE AN ACCORDIAN!! Alan Ducard: Conrad used that maneuver to take out Lucien in recent a singles matchup, this may be all she wrote!! Conrad makes the pin attempt. One… Two… Th- LUCIEN IS THERE, HE STOMPS ON CONRAD BREAKING THE COUNT! Lucien and Conrad exchange another look as Klinton tries desperately to push back the 400 lb Lucien to his corner. Bryan Harris: Lucien makes one heck of a CREEPY body guard. Alan Ducard: I am not sure this is a bodyguard relationship Bryan, but he’s definitely protective of Mirage tonight it seems. Muttering a curse directed at the AoD Conrad tags in an excited white boy with a high five. White boy again is able to swing to the top turn buckle with ease. Mirage is still grounded from the Lucy Lariot on the far side of the ring. The cameras flash and people get up on their feet as Joey stands atop the turnbuckle with no balance issues whatsoever – White boy shouts out. Joey Shepard: COME GET SOME CRACKA!!! UNORTHODOX FORWARD FLIP INTO A FOREARM SMASH ACROSS THE FACE!! THE CHICAGO CROWD LOVES IT!! Joey is up, somehow he bounces right back after that landing and to the delight of the Chicago Crowd he’s pumping his fists. Mirage starts to get up – Joey with a kick to the abdomen and X-FACTOR STYLE FACE BUSTER! Jimmy Yates: FIDDLE FADDLE! Joey follows up by hitting the ropes he charges at Mirage who is barely able to get up. Joey holds up a peace sign EYE POKE! HEAD LOCK! TORNADO DDT! Mirage is planted!! Jimmy Yates: IT’S PROJECT GREEN! Bryan Harris: You must know the stupid names to every one of these derelicts’ so-called wrestling moves, dontcha Jimbo? Alan Ducard: Great combination, this might be it. Joey with the pin, Klinton with the count. One… Joey Shepard rolls into a bridge for leverage Two… KICKOUT! The crowd is disappointed and so is Joey. Joey looks at Conrad and makes the motion for an electric chair position as if asking his partner if they should go for their finisher, “Puff the Magic Dragon”. The arena fills with boo’s and Mirage lands a desperation low blow uppercut from behind. Jimmy Yates: Come on ref didn’t you SEE THAT!!?? Bryan Harris: I didn’t see a thing Jimmy, it just looks like Joey is suffering a sudden side effect from all the wacky tabacky. Must have been a mirage. Jimmy Yates: Can it, Bry- Much to the dismay of the crowd Mirage is able to tag in Lucien. Holding his crotch in pain Joey hops towards Conrad for the tag. Like a massive, roaring thunder, Lucien parades across the ring. Shoving white boy on the ground while on his path Lucien smashes Conrad in the face with a single arm axe handle that knocks him off his corner onto the ground. White boy is up and he manages a drop kick to Lucien’s chest. This doesn’t seem to even faze Lucien, giving white boy a look of horror. Joey starts to get up after the drop kick and he charges at Lucien but is easily hoisted up and planted with a scoop slam. Jimmy Yates: This might get nasty, Lucien Grey is a monster who outweighs Joey Shepard by 200 pounds.. Alan Ducard: 200 and then some I believe… Joey scrambles back. He’s up and charges relentlessly at Lucien and snaps his body in motion with a spinning heel kick – But Lucien catches Joey in flight - SIT OUT POWER BOMB AND THE RING TREMBLES! We can hear a muffled grunt from behind Lucien’s mask. He lifts Joey up and he gets to his own feet and takes him back down with a sick headbutt that looks like it may have snapped his neck. He lifts Joey up AGAIN and scoops him – RUNNING POWERSLAM!! Lucien rises again, standing over the limp Shepard in the middle of the ring – he stomps away. And suddenly he places a boot onto Joey’s neck and presses down – Jimmy Yates: What the HECK is he doing!!?? Klinton Porter is there for the for 5-count disqualification. One... Two… Three- CONRAD BREAKS THE ILLEGAL BOOT CHOKE SHOVING LUCIEN TO THE GROUND!! Lucien is up – THE TWO MEN GET INTO AN ALL OUT BRAWL!! Klinton Porter tries to break these men up -- but mostly he’s trying not to get clobbered. Jimmy Yates: Dammit Ref pay attention!! Lucien and Conrad keep thundering punches at one another and Klinton is distracted. Mirage makes his way into the ring and with Joey on his back he lifts up both legs – WISHBONE STOMP TO THE GROIN!! The crowd is livid and Joey is again left clutching his manhood in agony. Bryan Harris: Something tells me this guy didn’t have much of a sperm count left anyway. Porter manages to break up Conrad and Lucien, shouting warnings at Conrad that he will disqualify him as he is not the legal man. Lucien looks at Joey who is still writhing in pain. He Looks back at Conrad and seems like he may be grinning viscously under that mask. Lucien grabs Shepard by the legs and drags him away from Conrad. Joey hops up on one foot – ENIZIGUIRI OUT OF NO WHERE. It barely seems to take effect on Lucien but he does take a step back – white boy DIVES – and he tags in Conrad. The crowd cheers!! Alan Ducard: Chicago really getting behind these homies tonight! Conrad charges at Lucien and takes him down with a flying shoulder tackle!! Both men get back up and Conrad jumps forward again – a clothesline takedown!! Both men are up a bit slower this time, they take a step back before charging at each other – Conrad lets out an audible ‘UUUrrrggG!!’ CONRAD LIFTS UP THE 400 POUND LUCIEN AND DROPS HIM WITH A SPINE BUSTER!! Jimmy Yates: OH MY GOD NOT POSSIBLE!! Bryan Harris: Not without a hernia. Alan Ducard: All joking aside a hernia very possible after taking down someone so large three times in a row. Conrad with the pin. One – KICKOUT!! Alan Ducard: Barely a one count!! Jimmy Yates: AGAIN NOT POSSIBLE!! Bryan Harris: Anything is possible for an Agent of Destiny! Conrad can’t believe it. Lucien is up and Conrad leaps forward for another clothesline. Lucien catches him in a bear hug and squeezes. He follows up on the hold by whipping Kirk onto the ground with a slam. Lucien pulls up Conrad and Irish whips him into the turnbuckle, he crashes back first and Lucien charges after landing a HUGE turnbuckle smash. Lucien follows up with another Irish whip sending Conrad into the opposite Corner – Mirage is there and he sneaks in an elbow to Conrad’s spine. Seeing this White boy comes to life and charges into the ring – but Porter is there and he stops Joey in his tracks shouting another warning to team HgH. The crowd Boos and Mirage’s elbow seems to have done it’s damage and Lucien has Conrad up for a suplex – HE DROPS CONRAD INTO A BRAIN BUSTER!!. Jimmy Yates: AGH! COME ON REF!! Joey and Klinton continue to argue and Porter holds his ground. Meanwhile Lucien takes Conrad’s legs up and holds him in a wish bone position as Mirage ascends the top turnbuckle. DIVING HEADBUTT INTO THE GROIN!! Bryan Harris: Haha! Death From above!! Jimmy Yates: JUST TURN AROUND REF!! But the referee turns around only to see Mirage making the pin, hooking the leg on Conrad. Unsure if Mirage is actually the legal man he makes the pin count. One… White boy goes for the save!! Two… Joey runs into Lucien’s big boot!! HE IS LEVELED!! THREE!!! The crowd boos lividly!! Klinton calls for the bell!! *DING* *DING* *DING* Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, your winners, Marcus Mirage and Lucien Gray – The AGENTS of DESTINY!!! As the booing continues, Mirage gets up off the mat. After Lucien Gray picks Conrad Kirk up and tosses him under the bottom rope, he walks over and stands next to Mirage. Klinton Porter raises both individuals' arms in victory, and then they make their exit of the ring. Alan Ducard: Mirage has been working to make the case that the Agents of Destiny are one of the top forces in the business, and with the win here tonight, I firmly believe that the front office might well consider giving those two a shot at the World Tag Team Championships. Bryan Harris: And if that happens? I think Mirage is going to take those belts from Domination. Look at all he's been able to accomplish so far with Lucien, and earlier tonight the victory of Osamu Hayashi over Katsuro Yoshida? Give Mirage some credit for that, too. Jimmy Yates: It's definitely a night that the Agents
of Destiny won't soon forget.
The feed buzzes into life with a black and white video reel, blasting out static and white noise. A low hum awakens in the background, and images start to flicker across the screen. A hockey mask with a celtic cross plastered across the front, and in the eyeholes of the mask there is only fire, billowing irises that comprise an inferno. Another reel flickers onto the screen, a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, and the tongue of a devil flicking against these teeth. Pallid white flesh and eyes so cold you would mistake the owner of them for a corpse. The mouth exhales plumes of ice cold air, the forked tongue darting back into the maw as the demon grins. Ben Moody’s “The End Has Come” begins to assault the audio waves at this point, and video footage of Black and Entragian’s war accompanies the song. “Took from me all that I had.” Entragian in the ring at Strife 43, giving his reaction to the news
of Black vs Entragian at LEGACY X for the No Limits Championship. “With my soul and spirit dead.” Black training in Church Hill, Tennessee, hitting the weight bench and pressing five hundred pounds, his teeth clenched in determination. The embers of his soul already starting to burn once more, reignited by a little stoking on the part of the albino. “Killing everything in me.” Entragian training in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, pulling his near three hundred pound girth up over and over again by way of a chin-up bar. His heavy white hair falls into his face, where we see just a glimmer of green, the narrow slits of his eyes. “What does one use to be free?” Entragian brutalizes Justin Moreno, his eyes never leaving Damien Black as he stands on the apron as Justin’s tag team partner. Issac hits “SPINAL DOOM”, looking over at Damien with a sick smile plastered across his face. “Now to drive away the pain.” Damien sharpens his hatchet along a grinding stone in the middle of a cantilevered barn, sparks flying against his bare arms, yet he barely feels this, all thoughts centered on dethroning the albino tyrant. “I’ll destroy all I disdain.” Issac strokes the faceplate of the No Limits Championship, in the same way a loving father would stroke the head of his infant child. The monster’s gaze is pure greed, his fingers tightly locked around the leather belt. “I’ll become what I despise.” Damien reads the dirt sheets, seeing the “choke artist” comments that many of the wrestling critics and reporters have made about him. His throat constricts with emotion, his eyes glassy, knowing deep down that he still has what it takes to win the big one. “Living someone else’s life.” Ezekiel Caine begins to somewhat distance himself from Black, seeing just how obsessed Damien is with his training, just how focused he is prepare himself for what’s sure to be the bloodiest of battles. “Don’t ever back down.” Elizabeth Gaunt massages the shoulders of her pallid colossus, trying her best to soothe the beast within, which is already straining to break out. Entragian’s eyes are cold, yet beneath that frigid gaze there is a burning desire to be the best, to mow through anything that stands before him. “Don’t ever turn around.” Entragian is shown throttling Ethan Leer’s by the throat, clamping down maliciously on his windpipe, before Black makes his appearance at the top of the ramp. Issac flings Ethan to the side as though he is a mere afterthought, his attention immediately focused on his nemesis. “My end has come.” The monsters circle each other in the center of the ring at LEGACY X, like two gladiators about to destroy one another in the bloody confines of the Coliseum. Black brandishes a steel chain, while Issac twirls “The Slayer”. “So now I come for you.” Both men trading punches, Black slamming into Issac with palm strikes, and capping off the assault with a spinning back fist. Entragian responds in turn, nearly snapping Black’s jaw loose with a bone-crunching uppercut. “Now obsession rules my mind.” Elizabeth Gaunt lying partially nude with the No Limits Title censoring her bare lower body, a little black string bikini with cherries on struggling to support her ample bosom. Entragian’s forked tongue slips out, licking his lips in deranged lust. “This commotion makes be blind.” Damien sits on a wooden stool in the middle of his barn, staring at a portion of the wall that is tacked up with his TTW and OPW accomplishments, and we see a yearning in those heated eyes of his. “Searching out whoever runs.” Black slams his knees into Issac’s back with a chain assisted lung-blower, Black pulling back on one of Issac’s huge arm with a kimura lock. “Or has stolen away my life.” Entragian sinks his teeth into Black’s bicep, gnawing at his flesh like a rabid animal and forcing him to release a submission hold. Entragian smashes Damien into the canvas with a jackhammer. “You trip on everything.” Black soars through the sky, hitting his flying headbutt. Entragian flies the air as well, hitting WINGS OF WAR, effectively clipping Damien right across the throat with his patented flying clothesline. “I’ll take your tired breath.” Both monsters bleeding from the head, crimson stained faces contorted with a mutual hatred for one another. The age old battle of evil vs another kind of evil. “I can’t feel anything.” Both monsters fight through the pain, seeming almost numb to it, striving to do the absolute purest amount of damage to one another. “I live to see you to your death.” Black wraps his chain around his shoulders, sliding his hockey mask onto his scarred face as he prepares for the fight of his life. “Your heart will bleed.” Entragian slides “The Slayer” into the sheath along his hip, gingerly strapping the iron forged club into place. He begins taping his fists, the tape matching the color of his flesh, those eyes betraying nothing but a sick desire to maul. “As my vengeance is spread.” Black spears Issac right out of the ring at LEGACY X, and then we see Issac smashing a steel chair into the back of Damien’s skull as he lies face down on the canvas. “Through your tortured expense.” The pain is their tool, to be felt and inflicted, to grind through and prevail. “Cuz I’ll never back down.” Black drives Issac to the mat with The Excommunicator, driving a red-drenched albino demon straight into the unforgiving canvas and creating a scarlet smear as bloodied head connects with pristine white. “I’ll drive you down.” Entragian blasts Damien across his chain-covered knee, hitting a dynamic Disemboweler that shakes the very foundations of the ring, sending a sputtering and retching Black halfway across the ring. “I’ll beat you to the ground.” Both men trading punches, neither monster willing to give an INCH. “My end has come.” The albino swings the crimson-stained No Limits Championship upwards, gripping the leather firmly as he exits the ring. “So now I come for you.” Black wraps one of his big fists with the steel chain, his emotionless hockey mask reflecting just how heartless he needs to become to put an end to Entragian. “DON’T BACK DOWN!”
Bryan Harris: All you hardcore freaks out there, get ready, because a real treat is on its way next. Chances are if the No Limits division is your favorite thing about LEGACY, then our next contest is the main reason you’re tuning in tonight, because without a doubt in my mind, this is going to be the single most hardcore match of the evening. Alan Ducard: With competitors like Chris Turner, Fallen Angel, and Ethan Leers squaring off in a three-way No Limits match, I have no doubt that this next contest will not be for the faint of heart. Jimmy Yates: None of these three guys is what you would consider a typical “fan favorite”, but a lot of the fans of the No Limits division aren’t what you would consider “typical” fans. Ethan Leers has his own “breed” of fan, as does Fallen Angel, and the same can be said for Chris Turner. When this thing is over, one of those groups of fans is going to be elated with the outcome. Bryan Harris: You’d also have to think that whoever wins this match is in good position to receive a shot at whomever the No Limits champion may be after this weekend’s festivities are done. Alan Ducard: This isn’t a number one contenders match by any means, but this is a good opportunity to show the front office what each of these three can do in No Limits action, and I’m sure that at some point in 2009, the winner of this match will receive a shot at the No Limits championship. Jimmy Yates: Ethan Leers has looked great in the No Limits matches he has competed in so far, Fallen Angel has made his reputation elsewhere as a hardcore competitor, and Chris Turner has been waiting more than a year to be allowed to get into the No Limits division. All that considered, how could this match go wrong? Bryan Harris: Let’s get down to it. Start of Match Footage As Fallen Angel and Chris Turner battle each other inside the ring, Ethan Leers is standing outside, crouched over, trying to regain some breath, after the beating he has received from Fallen Angel. The action inside the ring is heating up as Turner and Fallen Angel trade punches and Fallen Angel irish whips Turner into the ropes but Turner ducks out of the way and counters with a flying forearm to the face. Fallen Angel staggers back a bit as Turner runs, pretty fast for a guy his size I might add, and clotheslines Fallen Angel over the ropes, spilling him to the outside. Turner starts to climb out of the ring, until Ethan Leers grabs Chris Turners ankle and pulls down, forcing Turner off the apron, which Leers follows with a chop block to Turners knee. Turner crouches over as Leers scowls and hits a dropkick right to Chris Turners torso. Jimmy Yates: Ethan Leers using smart strategy, trying to take the big man down by the knees. Alan Ducard: Turner looks to be quite a bit of pain due to that dropkick to the knee. Look at him clutch is a little bit. Brian Harris: Look behind them though. Fallen Angel is getting up! This could be bad for Leers. As Turner falls backwards, Leers turns around and runs right smack into a clothesline from Fallen Angel. Angel picks up Turner and reaches down to the floor, grabbing a microphone cable and wraps it around Turner's neck. You can see Turner flailing, his face turning red, as he struggles to try to break free of the choke. Turners face starts to turn a little blue as he musters up a little bit of strength and starts to hit elbows to Fallen Angel's face, forcing the big man to let go of the cable, as Turner kneels down, trying to let oxygen flow back to his head. Brian Harris: That's the way to do it Fallen Angel. Choke that no good Chris Turner out! Jimmy Yates: Turner with some smart thinking though to get that hold broken up. His face was turning blue there. I don't think he would have lasted much longer. Alan Ducard: What is Ethan Leers up to this time? Look behind them. As Fallen Angel starts to pick up Turner again, all you hear is a sick CRACK as he is down onto the floor like a sack of potatoes. You can see Ethan Leers smiling as he holds a broken light tube in his hands. Fallen Angels back of his head has a little bit of blood seeping out of it as Leers picks up Angel and rolls him back in the ring and quickly pins him One Two Chris Turner comes out of nowhere to break up the hold. Jimmy Yates: That was such a powerful attack with the Light tube, I think we got some of the glass over here! Alan Ducard: But that still wasn't enough to end the match. I don't think Chris Turner wants it to end that early. Brian Harris: When will he learn though that if he focuses on just one person, that he is going to get burned. He has to remember that Ethan Leers is in this match as well. Turner picks up Leers and throws him out of the way and picks up Fallen Angel, picking him up with a fall away Slam. Turner rushes toward Fallen Angel, but is cut off by Ethan Leers with a dropkick to the side. Turner stumbles out of the way and out of the ring as Leers looks at Fallen Angel and grins. He rushes foward and jumps to the second rope and starts to melee on Fallen Angels face, but Fallen Angel powers out of it and throws Leers back down to the mat. Fallen Angel looks around, notices that Turner is not there as he turns his focus on Ethan and picks up him, ramming him into the turnbuckle. While this is happening, Turner emerges with a table in tow and slides the table under the bottom rope. Alan Ducard: Chris Turner with a table. This cannot be good. Jimmy Yates: This is about to turn ugly, I guarantee it. Brian Harris: Oh come on, what can a behemoth like Chris Turner ever think about accomplishing with a table? Turner sets up the table as Fallen Angel picks up Ethan Leers and puts him on the top rope. He prepares for a superplex of some kind, until Turner comes up behind him and with a little bit of straint, picks up Fallen Angel on his shoulders and falls backwards, taking Ethan Leers with him, both of them crashing through the table!!! You can hear the Legacy chants starting to creep up! Leg-a-cy! Leg-a-Cy! Leg-a-cy! Turner looks down at the carnage and pins Fallen Angel. One. Two. Th-Somehow Fallen Angel gets his shoulder up. Alan Ducard: Oh My Gosh! The tower of doom and both Ethan Leers and Fallen Angel fall through the table, and still not enough to put the big man away! Jimmy Yates: They are going to be feeling that in the morning. Both of their bodies have to be broken in half. Brian Harris: When will Turner learn that is will take more than a table to put away Fallen Angel. It's going to take a lot more punishment than that. Turner turns around a holds up two fingers at the referee as he slams his hands on the mat in frustration and turns around, picking up Fallen Angel from the carnage. Angel, with a sudden burst of strength, clotheslines Turner to the mat, and as Turner quickly gets back up, Angel clotheslines him to the mat again. After a third time, Fallen Angel picks up Chris Turner and hits a scoop slam on him. Before he can really gain any more momentum though, Ethan Leers comes up through the carnage and starts to punch Fallen Angel in the forehead repeatedly. As Fallen Angel tries to block the punches, you can see his forehead cut open somewhat as he staggers back and the camera zooms in on Ethan Leers hand, which has a piece of the broken table in it. Brian Harris: Genius! Pure genius by Ethan Leers grabbing a piece of the table and using it as a weapon. What will he think of next? Jimmy Yates: A bit unorthodox, I must admit, but proven effective. Alan Ducard: Look at Fallen Angel bleed like a stuffed pig! I don't know if any of these guys can take much more with the blood loss that have taken. Leers, almost spaghetti legged, manages to stand up and roll to the outside of the ring. He notices a couple of big shards of glass from the broken light tube from earlier as he picks them up and rolls back into the ring, going up to Chris Turner and, with the piece of glass, starts to rake it across Turners face. Turner screams in total pain as he holds on to his face and Leers smiles and starts to yell at Turner. F*CK YOU M*THERF*CKER!!! As the blood seeps through his shirt from the falling through the table, Leers turns around toward Fallen Angel, only to get a face full of steel from a steel chair. Appararently while Leers was focused on Turner, Fallen Angel went outside to grab a chair. Leers is definately busted open now as Fallen Angel picks up Chris Turner and slams his head into the turnbuckle a couple of times, watching as Turner falls to the mat. He sits Turner up to the turnbuckle and places a chair in his midsection as Fallen Angel takes a couple of steps back and takes flight, hitting a monsterous dropkick right on the chair! Fallen Angel rolls Turner a couple of times toward the middle of the ring and makes a pin. One. Two. Thr-- somehow Ethan Leers has enough strength to break up the hold. Brian Harris: First the table, now the glass. Ethan Leers is sending a message to all of the No Limits Division. Don't screw with him, or he will disfigure you. Jimmy Yates: Fallen Angel wanted nothing to do with it and used the steel chair to bust Leers up quite a bit. Alan Ducard: While Fallen Angel and Ethan are focusing on each other, look who is regaining their composure behind them. Fallen Angel looks up at Ethan Leers, who just grins and spits in his face. That just gets Fallen Angel angry as he gets up in a lightning rage and starts to throw a flurry of punches at Leers. Leers gets his arms up in a defensive motion, but Fallen Angel continues the assult and knocks Leers out of the ring with a monsterous clothesline. Fallen Angel turns his attention back to Chris Turner, who has regained himself and is throwing a set of stairs into the ring. Fallen Angel ducks as they just miss him and clank to the mat as Turner climbs back into the ring. Brian Harris: The steel steps. That's so cliche. What is he going to do? Hit him in the head with it? Fallen Angel is too smart for that. Jimmy Yates: If you would just watch. I think Turner has something else in mind. Alan Ducard: I think you are right Jimmy. I think Chris wants to finish Fallen Angel right here and now. Turner and Fallen Angel stare at each other for a second, getting nose to nose until flurries of punches start to fly. An irish whip by Fallen Angel, but Turner ducks under the attack and counters with a massive body press that shakes the ring. Fallen Angel falls to the mat with a thud as Chris Turner has had enough. He picks up Fallen Angel, adjusts the stairs a little bit and picks him up over his head, powering Fallen Angel onto the stairs with a sickening powerbomb! You can hear the thud of Fallen Angel's back hitting the stairs as Turner goes down for a pin... No, Ethan Leers comes out of nowhere and grabs Turner behind the head and throws him out of the ring. Leers pulls Fallen Angels body off the top of the stairs and makes a pin attempt. One. Two. Three. The bell rings as Leers has a smirk on his face as he is declared the victor of the match. Brian Harris: What did I tell you? Chris Turner was so focused on Fallen Angel, that it cost him the match. Ethan Leers won that match because of Turner's stupidity Alan Ducard: Leers did come out of nowhere, I know that much. He took advantage of a weakened Fallen Angel. Jimmy Yates: I hate the guy, but I must admit, that was a smart move by Leers, getting the win by very unconventional means. But he should have not pissed off Chris Turner. He's not going to be happy when he finds out what happened. Josephina Colbert: Your winner of this match.... ETHAAAAAAAAAAAN.... LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERS!!! Leers stares at the body of Fallen Angel and looks at Chris Turner, who just has a smile on his face. Jimmy Yates: I wonder why Chris Turner has a smile on his face. He just lost his match. Alan Ducard: I think Chris Turner is just happy that he is in No Limits again. I think everyone in that division better take notice, because he is back with a vengeance. Brian Harris: For once I have to agree. Chris Turner looks like to be a man on a mission and there is not many that is going to be able to stop him.
The crowd starts to buzz as silence continues for a few minutes, when
suddenly… “I’M AS MAAAD AS HELL – AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!” The opening drumline to “We’re Not Going To Take It”, by Twisted Sister, plays through the arena, and the fans starts to cheer as they see Herb Moxley appear from behind the curtains. He’s in a ‘traditional’ Hawaiin shirt and khaki shorts combination, reminiscent of his days from the tag team ‘Revenge of the Nerds’. “We’re not gonna to take it, The Guitarr riff hits and he runs down to the ring, giving high fives as he goes. Herbie J dives into the ring and raises the live long and prosper “V” way above his head as his free hand catches the microphone tossed from Josephina Colbert. Moxley: Maestro – cut the music please. The song stops, leaving only the sound of the chanting and cheering fans. Moxley grins at this, he starts talking fast, very high energy, pacing as he goes. Moxley: They said “Hey that scrawny twerp can’t possibly carry all that stationary paper himself” - but he did, all the way back to his car without any help. They said “that day dreamin’ geek can’t possibly write three hundred letters” – but he did, and all three hundred stenciled. - They said, “three hundred letters? So what? Now way they’d hire that Loco MoFanatic four-eyed dork to be the next pro wrestling intern.” But they did. “So that geeks an intern? Nothing will come of it!” – but it did! - “So he held his own against Derek Shane, so what!” -- “Fine, he’s on the roster but no way that NERD will win any titles.” – But he did! – “OK so he won some titles but he’ll never main event.” – But in just two days he will! – “FINE But NO WAY will this guy ever be CHAMPION of the WORLD.” A brief Pause. Moxley adjusts his glasses slightly. Moxley: Or… will he, Chicago? The fans cheer, Herb gives a cheesy grin in response from the cheap pop from saying the name of the city in which he stands. Moxley: It’s true what they say. I’ve been the underdog, not just my entire career, but my entire life. But this main event? Ridiculous. Harry Potter? Ash and Pikachu? Skywalker? Frodo? None of their odds stacked this bad. I’m an imp among trolls, an Ewok among Jedis. This war I’m marching into? It’s as if I’m going into battle against the Orcish Horde, King Arthur’s Knights and the Borg. Meanwhile - my army in this epic conflict? Equivalent to the cast of ‘High School Musical Three’. I’m a dead man walking. Jen X has the box picked out already, and with the anticipated masacre she chose a lunch box. Here’s hoping they shoot me out of a photon cannon like they did Mr. Spock. It’s true, the chances are slim. But… Another pause, and Herbert smiles. Moxley: Chicago do you REALLY want a champion who locks the title up in a trophy case?? A resounding “NO!!” Moxley: Do you REALLY want a champion who leaves the title lying around on the announce table?? A mixed reaction, some shout “No!” but just as many shout “Yes!” as Moxley is clearly referring to former world champion X-Calibur. Moxley: Do you REALLY want a champion who will wear the world title across his face like a massive eye patch?? The crowd chuckles as Moxley covers one of his eyes with an open palm hand, some shout “No!” but others cheer for the prospect of Del Carver as champion. Moxley: Or maybe you want a champion who will actually wear the damn thing around his waist simply because he believes it will give him plus five ogre strength, even though removing the title from its original wrapper makes it depreciate in value!?!?! Some laughter and cheers from the crowd at the idea of the nerd champion as world champion. Moxley: We’ll see at eleventh hour, Chicago, we’ll see. But for right now I would be neglectful – even remiss – if I did not give a shout out to my old friend, Loco Martinez. I just have three words for you man. Herb leans back, arching his spine awkwardly all the way back before shouting towards the heavens at the top of his lungs. Moxley: WHY, LOCO, WHY!? The crowd laughs at this – but as our unlikely hero lurches forward we can see this is no joke. (As pathetic as it may seem) his face is now that of a man losing hope and growing bitter at the state of affairs around him. Herb starts breathing slow and deliberate as if shouting those three words has exhausted him. Quite a sudden change in persona and Herbert is now talking directly into the camera. Moxley: Why Loco? And I don’t buy this crap about not wanting to be the entertaining funny guy anymore. That’s not what was so great about you. Besides, bud, you'r the equation expert - you should know lame doesn’t equal funny. The cold hard truth is I’ve been more entertaining these past five minutes then you’ve been your entire career. The laughs you heard? That was the sound of polite people wanting to make their hero feel loved. And as incredibly un-funny as you are – they did love you. Because what was great about you wasn’t the oozing cheesiness – it’s that you used to do the right thing. Once upon a time you stood for something. The real answer to my question? Why, Loco, why? Two reasons. One. You lost to X-Calibur. Two. You were disrespected by X-Calibur. Well dammit dudeman - Get over it and quick before it’s too late. You weren’t the first to lose to that jerk store; and until he finally gets that hug from his daddy? You won’t be the last person he disrespects, either. A grimace and the crowd buzzes at a long pause. Moxley: Sorry to end on the sour note Chicago, I’ll see you all again on Sunday. The fans cheer as Moxley’s music plays one again. Herb tosses the microphone to Josephina and makes his way to the back, taking a moment for some high fives as he goes.
Alan Ducard: Next up is something that should be truly enjoyable to watch. At every pay per view pre-show, LEGACY features a Show Me Something Showcase match, whereby no fewer than six competitors compete to prove that they deserve an opportunity to fight for larger opportunities in the future. Jimmy Yates: The lights aren’t as bright on the pre-show as they are on the actual pay per view itself, but previous winners of Showcase matches have earned themselves bigger opportunities, and so they’re great opportunities to see who might be the next big names in LEGACY. Bryan Harris: The rules to this match are similar to your standard Battle Royal match with one small exception. Along with eliminations happening by pinfall, submission, or being thrown over the top rope and down to the arena floor, there’s also eliminations that happen before the match even gets started. Alan Ducard: Once all twelve of the competitors are at ringside, the opening bell will ring, and from that point, there is a one minute period during which competitors must enter the ring. Anyone not inside the ring after that one minute time period is considered eliminated – regardless of whether they have entered the ring prior to that or not. Only the individuals in the ring once the second opening bell sounds are legal competitors in the match. Jimmy Yates: The last time LEGACY had one of these types of Showcases, it made for an interesting match, and since we’re showing the entire thing here on the pre-show, we should get down to it. Start of Match Footage The footage cuts to a view of the ring, with all twelve guys standing around the perimeter, eyeing each other and waiting for things to get started. Alan Ducard: Now that everyone is in place, the bell is going to be rung here in a couple moments, and then a minute later we’ll get our second bell. Bryan Harris: Have I mentioned lately that I like these types of Battle Royals? The fun… is about to start. The first bell rings, and the commotion starts. Frank Garvin and Iscariot both get onto the apron at the same part of the ring, but being a couple steps ahead and significantly faster, Hayden gets into the ring first, and he spins around and nails Frank with a kick, sending him down to the floor, though he lands on his feet. Benny Jackson gets up onto the apron, but he’s quickly grabbed from behind by Tyr and pulled back down to the arena floor. No punches or kicks are traded, however, as Tyr just dives into the ring under the bottom rope. Jimmy Yates: Getting a little chippy out there… Frank Garvin steps up and gets onto the apron and then gets into the ring. Grabbing a chair from the ringside area, Diego winds up and drills Post on the hip, sending him off the apron. Holding his side, Post gets up off the arena floor and turns around and is immediately grabbed by Diego around the head and arm, then takes him down with a capture suplex. Bryan Harris: Nice move by Diego on Post, and I don’t think he’s going to be getting up anytime soon! Diego gets up and rolls into the ring underneath the bottom rope. On the other side of the ring, Gryffin Anselm takes CBP by the wrist and sends him crashing shoulder-first into the steel steps with an irish whip, knocking the steps over. Logan Caine, who was climbing the steps at the time, is sent down to the arena floor. James Win swoops in and starts kicking Caine. Once he’s satisfied with the amount of punishment he’s dealt, Win takes Logan’s foot and pulls it into the steel guardrail in between the bars, then stomps down on his back. Alan Ducard: Crafty little maneuver by The All Star, trapping Logan Caine on the ground. Bryan Harris: You think James Win has stayed in The Diabolik this long because they think he’s funny? Nuh-uh, he’s not the Sean Waltman of this group. The kid’s talented, albeit a little lazy sometimes, but he belongs in with the big boys. James Win gets into the ring, and Gryffin Anselm also joins the slowly forming crowd inside the ring which also includes Iscariot, Tyr, and Benny Jackson. Charles Bryant Penze gets up off the arena floor and grabs the middle rope and tries to pull himself up onto the apron, but Hector Rodriguez grabs him, pulls him away from the ring, spins and throws CBP down onto the entrance ramp. Jimmy Yates: Well I guess Penze isn’t going to be getting into the ring either. Happy with his work, Hector turns around and grabs onto the middle rope and pulls himself up onto the apron, but he’s immediately drilled in the chest with a huge dropkick from Laura Seton, sending him down to the arena floor. Bryan Harris: Get up! You’re almost out of time! Alan Ducard: I don’t think he’s going to make it… A bit stunned, Rodriguez gets up and grabs onto the bottom rope just as the bell rings for a second time. Match Officially Begins Jimmy Yates: He didn’t make it! Hector is eliminated before it even gets started!! The camera shows Diego de Cardenas, who looks absolutely pissed at what just transpired. Alan Ducard: The anger in that young man is nearly tangible, and you can’t help but understand where he’s coming from. Had both members of El Chupacabra been in this match, it significantly would increase their odds! Jimmy Yates: Well things are getting started here, and it’s down to 8 competitors, since we’ve already had for guys eliminated. Bryan Harris: Post, Logan Caine, Charles Bryant Penze, and regrettably, Hector Rodriguez. Those guys won’t have the chance to step up and show anybody anything here tonight, and they’ll be escorted to the back. Alan Ducard: Diego not wasting any time, here, going right after Laura Seton. Diego puts Laura on the mat with an unsuspecting forearm shot to the side of the head, and he immediately starts reigning in on her with repeated stomps. Before Diego can do too much damage, he is grabbed from behind and ripped away, tossed aside by Frank Garvin. Diego rolls to the side and goes out of the ring underneath the bottom rope before rolling back into the ring. Jimmy Yates: A close one there for Diego… Alan Ducard: Actually just a reminder, eliminations are by pinfall, submission, or going over the top rope and hitting the arena floor with both feet… Bryan Harris: So Diego wasn’t actually close to being eliminated at all. Caught on the mat with Garvin looking down on her, Laura starts to shuffle her arms and legs, crab-walking a bit to evade the man who has been obsessing over her for months. Jimmy Yates: This isn’t going to be good for Lady Olympian. Alan Ducard: Actually I think she’s got a savior! Moving in from the blindside, Benny Jackson connects with a shoulder block on Frank, knocking him into the ropes. He leans slightly over the top rope but doesn’t fall to the outside, standing right back up. Wide eyed, Garvin steps forwards and connects with a haymaker, rocking Benny Boy backwards, then swinging upwards with an uppercut with his other fist, dropping Jackson down to the mat. Before Frank can do anything more than stomp on him once, Laura Seton jumps up onto Garvin’s back and locks him into a modified sleeperhold. Bryan Harris: What the heck is this?! Why is Laura helping out Benny Boy?! Alan Ducard: He did just come to her aid… Bryan Harris: This is any man for himself, Al… Frank Garvin reaches up over his shoulder and grabs at Laura, pulling her hair and trying to get her to break the hold, but she won’t. He digs his thumb into the side of her mouth and pulls, but she takes one of her hands and digs it into Garvin’s eye. Leaning forward, Frank tries to flip Seton over his shoulder to get her off of him, but Benny Jackson is there, and he doesn’t let her hit the mat. Letting her down easy, Benny kicks Garvin in the gut, then lifts him up off the mat and puts Frank down with a bodyslam. Laura Seton immediately follows that up with a standing legdrop onto Garvin. Jimmy Yates: Nice little double-team there by Benny Boy and Laura… and dare I say it, they make a good team. Maybe Benny’s dreams are gonna come true! Struggling to get to his feet, Frank Garvin shoves Benny and Laura aside with his long arms. By the time he gets his legs underneath of himself, Laura charges right back in with a flurry of rights and lefts. Frank shoves her aside, but Benny connects with a forearm shot, sending Garvin backwards into the ropes. Jackson hits another right hand, and then he hears Laura yell at him to duck, and as he does, she flies in and hits a dropkick, sending Frank backwards, up and over the top rope to the outside. Bryan Harris: Are you kidding me?! The fans cheer as Frank’s feet hit the arena floor, and the announcement is made. Josephina Colbert: Frank Garvin has been eliminated!!! Before Benny Jackson can get to his feet on his own, Tyr lifts him up and connects with a right, left, clothesline combination that flattens him over backwards. Not wasting a bit of time Tyr dives in and drops an elbow into Benny’s sternum. Elsewhere in the ring, Gryffin Anselm hits Diego de Cardenas with a forearm shot to the shoulders. Spinning him around, Anselm drives a knee into Diego’s gut, doubling him over, then easily lifts him up off the mat and throws him backwards into the middle of the ring with a gutwrench suplex. Before Gryffin can even get back to his feet, The All Star James Win moves in and begins to stomp down onto Diego. Bryan Harris: Beautiful teamwork there by The Diabolik, and that’s what’s going to give them the win in this match. Jimmy Yates: Only one person can win, Bryan, so what would they do if it came down to just the two of them? The match doesn’t just stop there… Alan Ducard: That’s an interesting point, James, but there’s still 5 other competitors who would have to be eliminated from this contest before we reach the need for that answer. James Win hoists Cardenas up off the mat and shoots him off into the corner with an irish whip, then spins around and follows in after him with a flying forearm. Despite taking a shot to the face from The All Star, Diego gets his arm underneath James’ leg before his feet can hit the mat, and he lifts up and sends James up and over the top rope. One of Win’s feet nearly hit the arena floor, but he hangs on to the middle rope, with his other foot still on the apron. Pulling himself up, James finds himself on the receiving end of an back elbow shot to the face from Diego, which nearly knocks him off the apron. Jimmy Yates: Win is in a lot of trouble here… Before Diego can do anything further, Gryffin rushes in and drives his shoulder into Diego’s gut, grabs him around the abdomen, takes a step back and launches Cardenas out of the corner with a modified back body drop. Once Diego hits the mat, he arches his back up in pain. James Win gets back into the ring, rushes in and kicks Diego in the small of his back, flipping him over onto his stomach. Having worked over his target, Tyr pulls Ben Jackson up off the mat, moves in behind him and forces both of Benny’s elbows backwards. Hooking into a butterfly position, Tyr lifts Benny Boy up off the mat into the air, and immediately Jackson starts wincing in pain. Alan Ducard: Tyr’s got him up in the air with the move he calls “Exiled from Heaven”, and I believe we might be seeing a submission here in a moment. Coming in from behind, Laura Seton dives and rolls her shoulder into the back of Tyr’s knees, causing them to buckle. Tyr falls backwards, releasing his grip on Benny Jackson, who falls to the mat next to him. Jimmy Yates: Laura Seton returning the favor for Benny Jackson helping her out earlier in the match against Frank Garvin. Bryan Harris: She already repaid him for that! Remember the sleeperhold? I think she’s maybe got a little crush on Benny Boy, and personally I don’t think that sort of thing has any place in wrestling. Alan Ducard: Alliances are formed for a variety of reasons, and I see nothing wrong with the manner in which Laura Seton and Ben Jackson are forming theirs. Taking the big man by the shoulder, Hayden Wolfe spins Gryffin Anselm around and rakes his eyes. With the opportunity, Iscariot backs up a couple steps, then spins forward, connecting with a spinning backfist which rocks Anselm. Turning and running, Iscariot picks up momentum by bouncing off the ropes, then leaps into the air and connects with a spinning heel kick which drops Gryffin to the mat. Seeing the offensive going on, James Win turns his attention momentarily away from Diego de Cardenas, which rewards him with a kick to the back of the leg from the El Chupacabra member. Jimmy Yates: James Win should worry less about his “meal ticket” and focus more on his opponents! Bryan Harris: You can’t fault James Win for worrying about his tag team partner! You’d do the same thing in his situation… though you probably would’ve already been eliminated. Pulling James Win backwards by the hair into a reverse ddt position, Diego uses both arms to grab The All Star – one takes James around the neck, the other grabbing onto The Diabolik member’s arm. Diving to his right, Diego spins James around and falls to the mat, completing the inverted swinging neckbreaker. Crowd: OOOHHHH!!! Alan Ducard: Nice maneuver by Diego de Cardenas, and I don’t see any signs of life on the face of James Win! Jimmy Yates: I guess that means we owe Diego some thanks, huh? Noticing all the other people still active in the match, Diego abandons the idea of pinning James Win and then moves over and dives in, connecting with a running knee to the temple of Benny Jackson. With the Denver native falling onto the mat in a lifeless heap, Cardenas grabs him by the hair, pulls his dead weight up off the mat and onto his shoulder, then dumps him backwards over the top rope, and the fans boo as Benny Boy falls to the arena floor. Josephina Colbert: Benjamin Jackson has been ELIMINATED!!! Bryan Harris: It’s about time that guy got eliminated! Maybe someday the kid will have some skills and will be worthy of getting opportunities around here, but he’s got a long way to go. Alan Ducard: I don’t believe the fans care anything about that, Bryan. They just want to see him succeed, and they’re voicing that opinion presently. Jimmy Yates: And with that middle finger pointed at a group of vocal frat guys in the front row, you can tell that Diego doesn’t give a damn what they think. On the other side of the ring, Iscariot spots something out of the corner of his eye, and he turns and immediately thrusts his leg out, connecting flush on the jaw of Tyr, causing him to drop to the mat like a ton of bricks. Moving in, Hayden doesn’t waste a second as he leaps up off the mat into a standing shooting star press, driving his knees downwards onto Tyr. Reaching over, Iscariot hooks the leg… One… Two… Three!! Jimmy Yates: Hayden Wolfe looking very impressive with the Celebrator, as he calls it, eliminating Tyr from this match! Josephina Colbert: Tyr has been eliminated!!!!! Bryan Harris: Now if he was smart, he wouldn’t go back after Gryffin Anselm! Targetting Laura Seton, Diego de Cardenas moves in on LEGACY’s only female competitor and goes for a haymaker, but Laura blocks the attempt, grabs him around the neck and drops downwards with a split-legged jawbreaker. Holding his jaw, Cardenas gets up off the mat, and Laura grabs him and tries to dump him up and over the top rope. Already on the outside of the ring, Diego holds onto the middle rope with one arm and the top rope with his other hand, not wanting to completely flip over. Laura tries to pry him off to send him out for elimination, but his grip is too tight. Feigning her attentions elsewhere, Seton walks away a few steps, then charges in, jumps, and connects with a dropkick between the ropes, hitting squarely on Diego’s chest. Jimmy Yates: He let go! Diego’s gone!! Alan Ducard: Diego just can’t hold on to the ropes as he gets hit with that dropkick, and now both members of El Chupacabra have been eliminated! Josephina Colbert: Diego de Cardenas has been eliminated!!! As the fans cheer for the El Chupacabra member’s ouster, Laura smiles and pumps her fist in recognition. She turns around and looks around the ring, noticing James Win still laying on the mat, and sees Gryffin Anselm getting kicked by Iscariot. She takes a moment’s breather and rests in the corner. After a kick to the gut which doubles over Anselm, Iscariot knees Gryffin in the face, then turns and runs into the ropes, getting momentum, and then on the return takes the big man down with a bulldog. Returning to his feet, Hayden backs into the corner and sits up onto the top turnbuckle, placing his feet on the second ropes. Bryan Harris: Wolfe’s wasting too much time if he’s looking to continue the attack on Gryffin… Jimmy Yates: I think he’s just waiting for Gryffin to get all the way back up before he goes for his next move. Hayden hops off the second turnbuckle and goes for a tomahawk chop on Anselm, but Gryffin steps forwards and grabs Iscariot out of the air and keeps his feet moving, driving him backwards into the corner, driving Wolfe’s lower back into the top turnbuckle. Repositioning Iscariot up onto his shoulders, Anselm turns towards the middle of the ring, flips Hayden up and over his head and drives him down onto the mat from the fireman’s carry position down onto his neck and shoulders with the michinoku driver. Alan Ducard: There’s the DEVASTATOR, and Gryffin goes for the pinfall…. One… Two… Three. There’s a mixed reaction from the crowd, who are still about 2/3’s booing Gryffin. Josephina Colbert: "Iscariot" Hayden Wolfe has been eliminated!!! Bryan Harris: Put it in the books! The Diabolik is going to win this thing, ‘cause Laura Seton doesn’t have a damn chance in the world! Jimmy Yates: Before all of this started, I figured that The Diabolik and El Chupacabra had an advantage… and it’s sad to see it come down to this, because Laura Seton is a hell of a competitor, but you’re right, Bryan, these are odds that Laura can’t overcome. I don’t think anyone would be able to overcome a two-on-one against the team which put the tag team division here in LEGACY on the map. Looking first at Laura Seton, then over at James Win, Gryffin Anselm puts up his hands and backs up into the far corner and signals for The All Star to fight the Olympian on his own. Win’s eyes get huge and he puts his hands out to the side, dumbfounded, unsure of why he’s not going to get help. Bryan Harris: What in the world is going on here?! Alan Ducard: It looks as though Gryffin Anselm is giving James Win a little tough love and letting him go at it solo. Jimmy Yates: And that’s all the invitation Laura needs! Laura rushes in and starts peppering James Win with rights and lefts. He shuffles his feet and tries to avoid as much as possible, but Laura reaches out, grabs James around the neck, drops her head and then drops to the mat with a split-legged jawbreaker. Win gets back up off the mat, dazed, holding his jaw. Laura grabs him by the wrist and irish whips him into the ropes, then quickly follows in and clotheslines James up and over the top rope. Jimmy Yates: He’s out! James Win is eliminated! Alan Ducard: Wait just a moment, The All Star is holding on to the top rope… I don’t believe his feet have hit the floor, so I think he’s still legal. Bryan Harris: And I don’t think Laura realizes it. She’s focused on Gryffin Anselm who has been sitting back and watching it all happen. Pulling himself back up, James Win gets onto the apron, then spins himself around to face the inside of the ring. The All Star gives Anselm a look of desperation, pleading for assistance, getting only a yawn in response. Laura notices that Win isn’t eliminated, and she rushes in with a forearm attempt, but at the last minute James ducks down and drives his shoulder between the ropes right into Laura’s gut, doubling her over. Win stands up and smirks, but before he can get into the ring, Seton stands back up and drills James with a right hand. Then a second one. James blocks the third one, but in the process nearly falls off the apron. Reaching out in Gryffin’s direction, James gets no assistance. Laura tries to pry James’ hand off the top rope, but Win moves in and connects with a forearm shot to the head, rocking her backwards. Jimmy Yates: Looks like your boy James is actually going to be able to stay in the match. Bryan Harris: I knew that chick wouldn’t find a way to eliminate either of those guys. As soon as James gets back into the ring, Laura moves back in and starts laying shots in. Trying to block the attack, Win pokes Laura in the eye, slowing her to a hault. Looking over, The All Star notices that Gryffin Anselm is still standing by in the corner, not moving to help. Hoisting Seton up off the mat, James bodyslams her down. From there he walks over and starts yelling at Gryffin, asking why he didn’t get any help. Alan Ducard: I think James Win just tried to clue Gryffin into the fact that they could’ve had a two-on-one advantage, and I’m not too sure that Anselm is amused. Jimmy Yates: Get back to the match, James! Taking James by the shoulder, Gryffin turns him around and points at Laura Seton, then gives him a little push towards the middle of the ring. The All Star’s eyes get huge, and he turns around and shoves Gryffin, though it doesn’t move him very much. Guys in Front Row: UH-OH!! Alan Ducard: The look on Gryffin Anselm’s face is not one that many would want to see. Gripping firmly, Anselm grabs Win by the shoulder and yells at him. Gryffin Anselm: Big Lou wants to see what you’ve got, now SHOW HIM! Anselm sends James Win in Laura’s direction with a full push, and Win stumbles. Laura gets up from her knee and clotheslines James to the mat. Getting to her feet, Seton looks in Anselm’s direction, but he just puts up his hands and points at James. Unsure of what to do, she keeps an eye on Gryffin and then reaches down to pick up Win. The All Star grabs her by the neck with one arm, the arm with his other, then pulls back down to the mat. Jimmy Yates: What was that?! Alan Ducard: I’m not sure, it was like a reverse urinage… obviously without most of the impact from the actual move given how close they were to the mat… but it did it’s job and James is going for the cover… One… Two… NO!! Frustrated, James gets to his feet, stomping his foot a few times on the mat, only connecting once with Laura in the process. Out of the corner of his eye, James notices that Gryffin is chuckling at him. Having seen enough, The All Star turns around, charges into the corner, leaps off his feet, swings his left leg up, then swings his right leg over… ENZUIGIRI ON ANSELM!! Crowd: OOOOOHHH!!! Jimmy Yates: What are we seeing here?! Getting back up to his feet, James Win notices that Laura is also about to get back up, so he moves in her direction and connects with a dropkick to the shins, putting her on the mat. Win then gets back up, sees that Gryffin is about to get up, so he rushes into the ropes, taking him down with a facebuster on the return. With hatred in his eyes, an energized James Win gets to his feet, grabs Gryffin Anselm by the head and lifts him up off the mat, setting up into a vertical headscissors, hooking each of his arms… then he hops backwards with a double-underhook facebuster. Bryan Harris: STARBURST!! Alan Ducard: These fans absolutely don’t know what to think of what’s going on here, but I, for one, don’t like it! Win has neglected his training for weeks, Anselm makes him earn his keep, and now this?! Jimmy Yates: The adrenaline is so high for James Win that he’s not even thinking of going right for the pinfall... he’s back on his feet, but so is Laura!! Coming right up from behind him, Laura quickly locks her hands around James’ arms, pushing against the back of his head… then she dives forwards with a faceslam. Bryan Harris: Wait… no!!! Alan Ducard: That’s Laura’s “Perfection”, and she IS going for the pinfall!! One… TWO… THREE!!! Jimmy Yates: The Diabolik’s world is crashing down around them… and now James Win has been eliminated!! Josephina Colbert: James Win has been eliminated by pinfall!!! As Laura gets up to the mat, Gryffin Anselm shakes some cobwebs and shakes his head, looking down disappointed at The All Star, who is moved out of the ring under the bottom rope. Gryffin then he looks at the only other opponent standing. Seton turns around and hops back a step and gets immediately into a fighting stance, anticipating an attack. Bryan Harris: What in the world is Laura Seton thinking? She’s not going to be able to take on Gryffin Anselm! Jimmy Yates: I think Laura should’ve tried to pin Gryffin after she dropped James Win. Alan Ducard: Gryffin did suffer that Starburst, so let’s see what he has left in the tank. Laura amps up her intensity and starts punching and kicking Gryffin. The impact has a slight effect on him, but Gryffin reaches out, puts his hand just below her neck and shoves her backwards. She tumbles over, but then gets right back on her feet. Anselm moves in, but Laura springs upwards, connecting with a leaping European uppercut, rocking Gryffin backwards. Looking for her next move, Laura sees the corner, runs over, gets out onto the apron, then gets up to the top rope. As Gryffin turns around to find her, Laura leaps off the top turnbuckle in his direction with a flying crossbody block… but Anselm catches her! Effortlessly, Gryffin lifts her up above his head into a gorilla press position. Jimmy Yates: Look at how strong Gryffin Anselm is! I know Laura’s not exactly a heavy girl, but he doesn’t look like he’s putting up much strength at all! Alan Ducard: She’s trying to fight it… Not wanting her to fight her way free, Gryffin twists Laura around and sends her crashing down to the mat with a modified powerbomb. Crowd: OOOOOHHHH!! Jimmy Yates: Laura did good to make it this far, but it looks like her run is almost over. Bryan Harris: Hey, she should be real proud of making it to second place. That’s a lot further than she should’ve made it, given all she had to overcome. Alan Ducard: She looks weary, Gryffin looks energized… and as he waits for her to get up to the mat, we’ve seen this before from Anselm, he’s going for that spear / spinebuster combination… As Gryffin Anselm charges in, Laura Seton stumbles backwards a step, drops down, grabs the top rope and pulls down as hard as she can… and Gryffin stumbles over her and goes right over the top rope to the outside. Alan Ducard: Both feet hit the floor, that means Gryffin Anselm is eliminated, AND LAURA SETON HAS WON THE MATCH!! The bell rings and Ross Quattro helps Laura up off the mat, raising her hand in victory. Josephina Colbert: And the winner of the Eleventh Hour Showcase Battle Royal... Lauraaaaa… SETON!!!! Bryan Harris: I absolutely can't believe what I'm seeing... Out of all twelve of the people who were entered into this match, I would NOT have picked Laura to be the one who won. Alan Ducard: Given the odds, she certainly wasn't a favorite, but she has been on a roll lately, and I can't say I'm surprised that she found a way to be victorious. Bryan Harris: I mean, really, I would've picked anybody to win this match instead of her. Jimmy Yates: Come on, even Charles Bryant Penze? Bryan Harris: Okay, so she's the next-to-last person I would've picked. Alan Ducard: Well given her victory here in this match, I wouldn't
be surprised to see her get a championship match opportunity in the
near future.
Bring the Fire I see your dir-ty face, The Highlight of the Night spikes Devastation with a DDT dead center of the ring, and he pops back up to his feet, arms raised to the crowd. “Baron of Boring, I’m coming for my title.” Devastation hits the Devastation Driver on Dawson, and angrily makes the cover. “Strife 48 was simply the beginning of the beating you’ll receive for the despicable person you truly are.” What is done in vain, Devastation goes for the Decapitator, but Dawson reverses the move into a top rope flipping piledriver to the amazement of the crowd. “I am the King, I am just biding the time until my coronation.” Devastation pulls The Highlight of the Night away from the ropes, and splatters him with a Decapitator, and covers him for the three count. “You haven’t won anything Matt.” So you pray to god, The Highlight of the Night stands in the middle of the ring with Elena Pisk, and motions for the crowd to give him more respect, drawing even more hatred. “You’re good Devastation, but you will never truly be GREAT – like me.” Devastation stands with arm raised in victory, holding the ToV Title as the fans cheer “DEV-A-STA-TION” “In every facet of life Matt, you are a notch below myself.” Live a lie, The Highlight of the Night walks the red carpet with Elena on his arm, flashes of cameras going off everywhere as Dawson basks in the attention, flashing his broad grin. Devastation hits the gym, the intensity etched on his face as he looks for just one more repetition, to push himself that much further. And you take your time, Dawson bestows the inflammatory painting on Devastation, all the while entirely proud of his display, and Devastation’s angry silence brings this comment from Dawson. “God you’re just like these ill-mannered, classless punks in the audience – then again they are your people. Oh come on now, your dead daddy could teach you how to do a headlock, but he couldn’t teach you some manners before he kicked the bucket?” We see Devastation slamming the painting down over Dawson’s head in a fit of rage, then hitting the decapitator! “You crossed a line at Strife 48 and whether it was part of some stupid mind game or not, you’ll have to answer for that. You’ve made it deeply personal Matthew and that’s what you’re going to have to live with.” Because when I arrive Devastation hits suplex after suplex on Dawson, dropping him dead center of the ring on his head with a release German. “You signed your death warrant.” Make you come alive The Highlight of the Night flies off the top rope, hitting a top rope bulldog on the ToV Champion. “Yes ladies and gentlemen, that’s how absolutely amazing I am – that for the first time in nearly two decades in this business – The Baron of Boring show true, unadulterated, emotion.” What this is, forgot? We see Devastation battling a whole host of foes from Rocky Stellar and Damien Black to Adam Davis and Chivalric. We see The Highlight of the Night hitting The Ultimate Highlight on J-Mo, and a shot of Dawson in his barbaric “Brick House” match with Don Mega in OPW. Let It Rock “The common place to be undone by The Elite. I’m taking the belt “Champ” and taking my place as the ToV Champion.” Let It Rock “Spin it however you want but when all is said and done at Eleventh Hour you’ll end up just like you did at Strife 48.” Let It Rock “The Highlight of the Night vs. Devastation – Last Man Standing – ToV Championship” Now the son's disgraced There’s a black and white photo of a much younger Devastation, smiling, his father’s arm around him, then another photo of them tied up training with the elder holding a headlock on his son.” When he cursed his name We see a much younger Highlight of the Night once eager to make his name, actually training with Devastation, with Devastation showing him a suplex counter, and this image burns away to the opening video from The Entourage entrance with Dawson, Elena, and the rest sacrificing his small town roots for the glitz, glam – money and power of the group. But it broke his heart We see clips of Dawson mocking J-Mo as a part of the “coke” segments, with absolutely brutal, antagonistic tactics, and clips of The Highlight of the Night mocking Devastation’s “Charisma Cancer” To the world There’s a shot of the LEGACY fans at Strife 48, chanting “ONE MORE TIME” wanting to see Devastation hit yet another decapitator on the already dazed and confused Matthew Dawson. And you take your time Matthew Dawson speaks to what he deserves. “Yes, change is coming as after Eleventh Hour the new and rightful champion will be crowned, and The Elite will wear gold in LEGACY – the gold that has been kept from me these past two months – ever since Strife 45.” Devastation speaks to what he will not be denied. “Soon the time for talking will be over and you will have to step into the ring with the most dominant wrestling force of all time. It’ll be your end Matt and I’ll enjoy putting the final nail in your coffin.” Well you'll get what's yours We see Matthew Dawson in painting form, standing victorious with the ToV Title. “The technical powerhouse undone by the young punk who just kept talking – the 17 year vet undone by the arrogant son of a bitch who wouldn’t get out of his face.” Devastation standing in actuality victorious with the title raised after Strife 45. “I’ll be standing over you victorious while you lay face down on the canvas.” Because when I arrive Conviction and determination echo in Devastation’s voice. “You’ve crossed the line Matt and you’ve made it more than personal.” Make you come alive Dawson’s voice drips with arrogance, with malice. “… the historic moment that Matthew Dawson gave this business not what it wanted, but what it needed, and someday when all of the fans and historians look back on my victory they will say with the utmost admiration … Let It Rock “The common place to be undone by The Elite. I’m taking the belt “Champ” and taking my place as the ToV Champion.” Let It Rock “Spin it however you want but when all is said and done at Eleventh Hour you’ll end up just like you did at Strife 48.” Let It Rock “The Highlight of the Night vs. Devastation – Last Man Standing – ToV Championship-Now That’s Entertainment”
Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, our next match is a tag team match, and introducing first, one half of team number one, hailing from Yokahama, Japan, this is John James! “Rockstar” by Nickelback hits the PA system, following the usual “Entourage” introduction package, and John James heads to the ring as the fans jeer his arrival. He’s dressed in burgundy and silver long tights with “JJ” in silver down the legs. Upon entering the ring, he looks back for the arrival of his partner. Josephina Colbert: And his partner, hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, this is Stephen Rawlings! The fans really jeer the arrival of Stephen Rawlings as “Points of Authority” by Linkin Park, blasts through the arena. Upon arriving at the ring, Rawlings ignores James, and immediately goes to the turnbuckles, pointing to himself as if the fans should be showing him the utmost respect. Josephina Colbert: Now introducing their opponents, hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, and New York City, New York, the team of “The Sure Thing” Ron Bailey and Cronos Diamante! “Blow Me Away” by Breaking Benjamin hits the PA system, and Bailey and Diamante head to the ring together, with Bailey looking ready to get this started while Cronos has a more methodical step, his eyes locked on Rawlings as he walks to the ring. Jimmy Yates: I’ve very much struck by the separate entrances for Rawlings and James while Bailey and Diamante are arriving together. I know it could be nothing, but it just feels like Bailey and Diamante will be a more cohesive unit heading into the match. Bryan Harris: Or, James and Rawlings deserved their own individual entrances because they are indeed that big of superstars. Rawlings’ LEGACY accomplishments are vast, and James is an international sensation. Alan Ducard: You may be right about the accomplishments having merit Bryan, but I’m inclined to agree with James about the prevailing relationship between the fighters in each team. With all four men at ringside, Don Bower looks to both corners, and then signals outside the ring for the bell, and this match is officially underway. Ron Bailey steps quickly towards the middle of the ring, and as he does John James goes to meet him, but just as he’s about to face down with Bailey, Rawlings cuts around him with a smirk. Alan Ducard: It looks like there’s some confusion between Rawlings and James about just who is going to start off this match. Jimmy Yates: Rawlings wasn’t happy at all about being on the pre-show, so I’m not sure why he’s so anxious to get in there. Bryan Harris: He’s a former World Champion Jimbo – this guy is major league, hanging with The Entourage – he’s done dealing with little leaguers like Diamante and Bailey. Rawlings looks to JJ with a bit of a glare to send him back to their corner, and JJ protests for just a moment before rolling his eyes and heading outside the ring. However, that exchange between the two of them allows Bailey to quickly move back to his corner and immediately tag in Cronos, and the crowd goes crazy for the possibility of Diamante getting his hands on Rawlings. Upon recognizing the tag, Rawlings immediately goes for his corner and tags in JJ, and the crowd boos the tag and JJ steps inside the ring. JJ looks back to his corner, immediately looking to make the tag back into the ring, but Rawlings has already jumped off the apron shaking his head, and smirking as Cronos glares at him from the middle of the ring. Alan Ducard: Cronos wants to get his hands around Rawlings’ neck, but Stephen will have none of it – literally jumping off the apron before JJ can make a return tag. Jimmy Yates: I have a feeling with the way JJ jumped back into his corner that James wants nothing to do with Diamante and his insanity that came with the package deal with Rawlings. Alan Ducard: Well, it looks like we are going to get Bailey and James to start this match as Cronos goes back to his corner and tags in Bailey. I’m sure Diamante has no love lost for John James, but Rawlings and Cronos have been battling for some time now, and Rawlings has to be the real prize for Cronos here tonight. Bryan Harris: Defeating Rawlings here tonight is like trying to get the prize out of one of the claw or hook machines at the arcade – futile. Alan Ducard: So gents after a few delays, James and Bailey tie-up in the center of the ring with James quickly transitioning to a side headlock. Bailey pushes to the ropes and sends James off to the opposite side of the ring. James on the return, and Bailey goes for the hip toss, reversal by James into a hip toss of his own. Bailey is back to his feet quickly, but James takes him over with the arm drag. Now James applies the armlock, hyperextending the elbow across his far knee while putting the near knee down across Bailey’s head. Jimmy Yates: I can’t say that I like John James, but there is no doubt about his wrestling skill. I think though he’s still getting used to fighting as his own man without the mask. I think he may in fact be putting too much pressure on himself to win and to fit in with The Entourage. Bryan Harris: Perhaps so Jimbo, and I don’t agree with you often so be sure to get a tape of this show so you can cherish this moment for years to come – but yes James is very talented, and there has been some confidence missing in his game without the mask. Alan Ducard: Confidence aside, James is control here in the early going, as Bailey moves out of the armlock and off the canvas, James transitions the hold into a hammerlock, and there’s a lift and JJ with the hammerlock belly to back suplex – and he drops Bailey on that left arm. Now James is looking to pick up the pace, off the ropes and there’s a quick dropkick to the face as Bailey tries to stand. James with a few kicks to that left arm, and there’s a quick snap suplex! Jimmy Yates: JJ is headed for the top rope now as he just centered Bailey with that suplex – it feels kind of early for this kind of risk though Alan. Bryan Harris: It is early, but JJ got to the top rope quickly – this might pay off and JJ leaps … NO! Alan Ducard: Nobody home on the frog splash attempt! Bailey rolls out of the way and James bounced when he hit that canvas. James is trying to get to his feet and here comes Bailey, but James rakes the eyes! Jimmy Yates: He’s obviously not above fighting dirty … Alan Ducard: James takes off again off the ropes and … BAILEY CATCHES HIM WITH THE TILT-A-WHIRL … INTO THE BELLY TO BELLY PILEDRIVER! Jimmy Yates: Big reversal by Bailey, and he’s taking a few moments to shake out that left arm before going after James. Bryan Harris: He probably wouldn’t have succeeded in pinning James anyway, so recuperating isn’t such a bad idea. Bailey pulls James up to his feet and sends him to the ropes with the Irish whip, and catches him with the back elbow shot to the jaw, knocking James off his feet to the canvas. Bailey, however, chooses not to take things to the mat, and assists James back to a vertical position, but hooking the head under the arm, and begins to assault James with a flurry of big knee strikes. Alan Ducard: Now we see that mixed martial arts ability starting to shine for Ron Bailey as he drives knee after knee into James, now he hooks the leg and takes James back up and over with the fisherman’s suplex, and he holds on for the pin! ONE TW-NO! Rawlings into the ring and he breaks up the pin attempt with a boot right to Bailey’s exposed ribs. Jimmy Yates: Rawlings was quick entering the ring to break up a pinning suplex that has finished countless fighters, but he was just as quick to exit with Cronos Diamante stepping inside the ring to meet him. Bryan Harris: Oh come on now, Rawlings is just a quick guy – he broke up the pin and got out of the ring. Alan Ducard: Well, gents after Rawlings broke up that pin, both men are up at about the same time with Bailey taking the slight advantage and he makes the most of it, catching James with a kick to the thigh and follows it up with a palm strike. James is in some trouble and Bailey grabs the arm … SINGLE ARM DDT, AND INTO THE TRIANGLE CHOKE! Jimmy Yates: This time he has James in a submission hold, and here comes Rawlings again, and he kicks Bailey in the head breaking the hold! Bryan Harris: I think Rawlings did a great job there coming in for the second time – even though James was quite close to the ropes and could had escaped, why let James take any extra punishment? Alan Ducard: Agreed on that point Bryan, but James could probably use to make the tag so he can refresh and refocus. Bailey is up a little slower this time, probably due to being kicked in the head and not the ribs, and this time Bailey goes for the strike, and James sidesteps. John James hooks and there’s the inverted atomic drop, and a tornado DDT on Bailey! Jimmy Yates: Bailey is down, and James goes to his corner and makes the tag to Rawlings – and Stephen is in the ring quickly – probably since Diamante is still on the apron. Bryan Harris: Jimbo would you stop with that nonsense and focus on the great wrestling we are about to see with Rawlings entering this match-up. Rawlings hits the ring as Bailey is back to his feet but he’s still dazed from the JJ’s tornado DDT. He moves in behind Bailey, hooks him from the side, and he delivers the Russian leg sweep, snapping Ron back to the canvas. Rawlings is up quickly, and he looks over to Diamante in the corner with a smirk, but Cronos seems unfazed and looks back with his own wicked, unhinged smile. Alan Ducard: Rawlings is still in control, and he hooks the arm, and takes Bailey up and over with the snap suplex, and he floats over into the pin! ONE TWO-KICKOUT! Bailey gets the shoulder up and this match will continue. Rawlings doesn’t pick up the victory, but he keeps on Bailey, pulling Ron to his feet, and then measuring him, hits a textbook, picture perfect dropkick, sends Bailey right back down. Rawlings kips up to his feet, and looks to JJ in his corner for approval, and gets a half-hearted “clap” from JJ, and he turns his attention back to Bailey. Alan Ducard: Rawlings now pulling Bailey to his feet, hooks the waist, and he takes Bailey up and over with the German suplex! Rawlings his holding on as both men regain their footing, looking for a second suplex, but Bailey reverses! German suplex by Bailey! Ron now holding on as Rawlings gets to his feet, and … he moves into a rear naked choke! Bailey with the chokehold, and he’s going to take out Rawlings right here! Rawlings is struggling, and here comes John James to the ring, and here comes Cronos! Jimmy Yates: We have all four men in the ring now, and Cronos and JJ meet with a double set of punches, and Cronos uses his size to go low and knock JJ back into the buckles! Rawlings now struggling to get his feet up on the buckles and … Bryan Harris: Rawlings uses the buckles and flips back up and over Bailey and he’s got the shoulder down! It’s a pin! Alan Ducard: The pin by Rawlings! ONE TWO THR-NO! Cronos is there to break up the pin, and that shot has Rawlings down on the canvas – this match will continue, and the fans are starting to rally behind Bailey, here, wanting to see him make that tag! Jimmy Yates: Both men are getting to their feet, and Rawlings charges Bailey … TILT-A-WHIRL BACKBREAKER! There’s Bailey’s opening! Bailey headed to his corner! Bryan Harris: No don’t let that nutjob in there! Alan Ducard: Rawlings is starting to get up, holding his back, and BAILEY MAKES THE TAG! Here comes Diamante! Cronos hits the ring, and there’s a big right hand, knocking Rawlings off his feet. Cronos pulls him up and there’s the Irish whip and Cronos with a HUGE roundhouse kick that almost takes Stephen’s head right off his neck. Jimmy Yates: Cronos is on a roll here! Diamante pulls Rawlings to his feet, and Rawlings rakes the eyes! Bryan Harris: Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to slow a man down. Rawlings after the rake of the eyes delivers a dropkick to the knee, and heads for his corner, and he makes the tag to JJ. Alan Ducard: Rawlings makes the quick tag to John James, and James now stepping into the ring, and he turns and immediately tags Rawlings! Stephen’s eyes go wide as JJ takes the “long way” back to his corner, and moves out the ring away from Rawlings and takes the floor route to the corner. Rawlings appears none too happy about the situation, turning around on the apron to say something to JJ, but before he can protest too much, Cronos grabs him by the neck and flips him back over the top rope and into the ring with a reverse suplex, and the crowd cheers with the impact. Bryan Harris: What in the world is JJ doing immediately tagging Rawlings back in there with Cronos!? Jimmy Yates: Either JJ wants nothing to do with Cronos because Diamante is unstable, or two, this is something out of his conversations as of late with The Highlight of the Night. Perhaps JJ aims to let Rawlings take care of his own business. After bringing Rawlings back into the ring a hard way, Cronos grabs Rawlings as he tries to get back to his feet in the katahajime hold, and a moment later, suplexes him of the hold! Alan Ducard: Diamante with a trademark suplex, and Rawlings looks to be in some serious trouble here, but Cronos is … leaving the ring? Jimmy Yates: Ah come on Diamante, you have Rawlings on your side the ring, you have him right where you want him … Bryan Harris: Cronos is looking for something under the ring and … OH MY GOD … THAT MANIAC! Cronos emerges from under the ring holding … an … AXE. Alan Ducard: Is that Keravnos? Bryan Harris: That LUNATIC is bringing an axe in the ring! Don Bower is warning him he can’t bring it in the ring, much less use something like that in a match, but it’s an AXE! Security … he need help … Diamante is going to kill Stephen Rawlings. Bailey give Diamante a wide berth as Rawlings pushes off the canvas, and seeing the axe, his eyes go WIDE, and he pushes on his hands and knees on the canvas, back to his corner, where JJ has already shook his head and bailed from the corner as Cronos holds the axe menacingly towards Rawlings – and as Rawlings flails about wildly behind him to make a tag to a partner who is wisely not there, Cronos bursts out with a hearty, evil laugh as he holds up the axe, and begins to run his hand along the blade, revealing that is in fact a … fake. Alan Ducard: Cronos is playing mind games with Rawlings, but I think he fooled more than just Stephen – John James wanted none of the axe, and many of the fans here were sure that the real Keravonos had arrived. Jimmy Yates: You done checking your undies there Bryan? Bryan Harris: It’s not funny Jimbo. Cronos tosses the fake axe away, but put a boot down into Stephen’s chest before pulling him to the ropes, and he begins pushing into Rawlings’ back and forcing his throat into the bottom rope as he lays across it. Don Bower, his heart rate coming back to normal after the axe scare, begins the count which Cronos works until the count of four, and finally he releases the choke, and pulls Rawlings him and tosses him into his corner with Bailey. Ron steps into the ring quickly, and grabs Rawlings, flipping him back with a monkey flip to Cronos, who scoops him up, and drives him down with a backbreaker on the knee before tossing him with a fallaway slam. Alan Ducard: There’s some teamwork showing through between Bailey and Diamante that we as of yet really haven’t seen with James and Rawlings. Jimmy Yates: Have we ever truly seen GREAT team work with Rawlings and I don’t know … anyone? Even Chris Turner and Rawlings were often on different pages given their quite differing personas and attitudes. Bryan Harris: Well, I have faith that Rawlings still could pull this one out, he just has to focus and wrestle as the decorated superstar that he is. After the fallaway slam, Cronos closes in on Stephen who takes a swing at him, but Cronos goes to the sweep, taking Stephen to the canvas. Diamante attempts to follow up with an elbow drop, but somehow Rawlings manages to get out of the way. As Cronos tries to roll to his feet Rawlings uses his speed, and takes off and takes Diamante down with a face crusher! Rawlings then backs off with catching his breath with a bit of relief, and he sizes up Cronos as Diamante starts to push up from the canvas. Rawlings looks like he’s going to take control of this match as he climbs the turnbuckles with Diamante getting to his feet. Rawlings leaps off the buckles and wraps the legs around the neck and he takes Cronos over and rolls him into the pin completing the dragonrana! Alan Ducard: Rawlings with the pin! ONE TWO THR-NO! Cronos kicks out! Jimmy Yates: Rawlings is really playing up that speed advantage here – but now he’s giving Don Bower a piece of his mind about that count before turning his attention back to Diamante. Bryan Harris: Hey, I thought it was a kind of slow count too, Rawlings really had that pinning hold on perfectly – no way Cronos should have kicked out there. After turning his attention back to Cronos, Rawlings kicks the larger man in the head, and then coming off the ropes drives a knee into his head. Rawlings, figuring he has Cronos stunned, comes off the ropes once more, and clasping Diamante, flips him back into a crucifix pin! Alan Ducard: Another pinning attempt by Rawlings! ONE TWO THRE-NO! Bailey in to break up the pin! Rawlings out of the crufix, and now he’s grabbing Cronos in that rolling cradle pin! Around and around and around they go, and … there’s another pinning attempt! ONE TWO THRE-NO! Again the pin attempt is unsuccessful due to Bailey’s interference, and Stephen’s attempts to get this match over and finished are again thwarted. Bryan Harris: I wouldn’t want to be in the ring any longer than necessary with that loon either. I don’t blame him for going for pin after pin. Jimmy Yates: Rawlings looks a bit frustrated Bryan, and he’s heading to the top rope again. Alan Ducard: Rawlings takes flight again, and there’s a moonsault down on to Diamante! Both men crash into the canvas following the moonsault, and Rawlings pulls Cronos closer to his corner, and he motions for JJ to help him in the corner, and JJ slips into the ring to help Rawlings lift Cronos up to the top rope as Diamante outweighs him by nearly one hundred pounds, and speed is of the essence. Alan Ducard: It appears the Rawlings is going for “The Other Finishing Move” – that hurricanrana off of the top rope! Rawlings moving to the top rope now and … CRONOS REVERSES INTO A TOP ROPE POWERBOMB! HE FOLDS RAWLINGS IN HALF WITH THE POWERBOMB! Jimmy Yates: They were in James and Rawlings corner, and the reversal was so quick, James could do nothing to stop it! Cronos now is up and he’s stalking Rawlings … Rawlings staggers to his feet, and Cronos hoists him up over his shoulders into the inverted fireman’s carry position. Alan Ducard: He’s going for Lucifer’s Honor – a devastating burning hammer! Rawlings is struggling, an elbow to the head, and another … Cronos staggers back! Rawlings is trying to make the tag to James, but JJ enters the ring and clips Diamante’s knees! Here comes Bailey into the ring and there’s a clothesline to James and both men spill out to the floor! Alan Ducard: Rawlings with a kick to Cronos’ head! Rawlings heading to the top rope here again … Stephen leaps off with the crossbody, but Diamante catches him! Cronos flips him up and … LUCIFER’S HONOR! DIAMANTE CONNECTS ON THE SECOND TRY! ONE TWO THREE! Don Bower signals for the bell, and Cronos stands over Rawlings with his arm raised. Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, your winning team... Ron Bailey and Cronos Diamante!!! Bryan Harris: If James had stayed in his corner, Rawlings could have made that tag, I know he could have. Jimmy Yates: JJ did help stop that first attempt at Lucifer’s
Honor, Bryan. Perhaps he just didn’t trust that Rawlings was going
to make that tag. Besides, Rawlings had his chance to take the match
after it was just Cronos and Rawlings in the ring, and Cronos took this
match definitively with Lucifer’s Honor.

Bryan Harris: Well it’s been one hell of a night here in Chicago, and just when you thought things couldn’t heat up anymore, we have a BLOCKBUSTER main event for you. Jimmy Yates: It doesn’t get much bigger than this, Bry. Two of LEGACY’s greatest talents meeting head to head in the ring, two very different contrasting styles, and this match very well could have been contested at Eleventh Hour itself, that’s how BIG the stakes are. Alan Ducard: We have The Diabolik’s flag bearer, Crash, looking to prove himself here tonight. As I’m sure we all know, things have been shaky within The D lately. The foundations of this great stable aren’t quite as strong as they were in the past, and there’s even talk that The D is inches away from crumbling. Bryan Harris: Do you believe everything you hear, Alan? The Diabolik is still just as much a force to be reckoned with as it’s always been, and Crash is going to hammer that point home tonight. He’s suffered too many fluke losses lately, especially at the hands of Tyrone Smith. It’s time to put an end to that, once and for all. Jimmy Yates: Speaking of Crazy Boy, this young titan has been forging an incredibly impressive path through LEGACY as of late, he’s coming off several big wins, and truly riding a wave of success. The people love him, he’s one of the most popular competitors on the LEGACY roster, and I personally believe that it’s only a matter of time before Tyrone is in possession of championship gold. Alan Ducard: I’d have to agree Jimmy, Crazy Boy has found his groove, and he’s steadily climbing the LEGACY ladder. So much potential, so much talent, he’s a genuine commodity in this company. Bryan Harris: Sure, sing Tyrone’s praises, yet gloss over everything Crash has done. This man is a former WORLD CHAMPION; he’s a different breed entirely. Crash knows how to deliver on the big stage, he’s been there before, and he’s conquered. I think we’ll see history repeat itself here tonight in Chi-Town. Crash is going to knock this kid down a peg or two, mark my words. Jimmy Yates: Well you’re entitled to your opinion Bry, but I prefer cold hard facts. Let’s transition into the footage and find out what REALLY happened, I’m eager to see which of these stallions rode the hardest here tonight just days away from ELEVENTH HOUR. Start of Match Footage Tyrone and Crash are in the center of the ring, their feet firmly planted, both men throwing fists like there’s no tomorrow. Crash with a hard right hand, Tyrone with a right hand, Crash with a RIGHT, Tyrone with a RIGHT. Crash staggers, then lunges forward and smashes a forearm into Tyrone’s nose. Crazy Boy shambles backwards, and Crash follows him in, pressing him against the ropes and irish whipping Tyrone across the ring, only to meet him with a STIFF elbow smash directed to the face. Crazy Boy goes down hard, rolling onto his stomach. Bryan Harris: I had a feeling Crash would get the better of that exchange. This man feeds on raw power, you’re not going to be able to go punch for punch for him, I don’t care WHO you are. Alan Ducard: Well Crash has some weight on Tyrone and I’d have to guess a strength advantage in this match, Tyrone’s going to need to find a strategy that works for him, something to combat that scary power. Crash moves in on Tyrone, snatching up a portion of his long hair and pulling him to his feet. He applies a hammerlock, wrenching back on Crazy Boy’s arm, and then moving towards the ropes he simply pushes Tyrone forward. Tyrone bounces off the ropes and Crash steps in and HAMMERS a forearm into his lower back. Crazy Boy cringes, but Crash doesn’t relent, he applies a waistlock and VIOLENTLY kips backward and down to the canvas, hitting a german suplex. Tyrone lands on the back of his neck, and Crash does NOT release the hold. He works his way back up to his feet, Tyrone still firmly grasped by the waist, only to fling him right back down, this time purposely breaking his grip and performing a release german suplex. Crazy Boy sails across the ring and actually flips in mid-air, crashing against the canvas on his stomach. Jimmy Yates: Jesus. That’s effective offense if I’ve ever seen it. Tyrone is getting no breathing room, no rest time. Alan Ducard: It’s been all Crash in the early goings, and he just may brawl his way to victory tonight if things continue to go his way. Crash sits up on the canvas, nodding his head, slowly working his way up to a vertical base. Tyrone attempts to push up off his stomach, managing to get on all fours. Crash sees this, and with a burst of Herculean speed, he closes the distance and leaps up, driving the point of his elbow down and burying in between the shoulder blades of Crazy Boy. Tyrone is flattened, his face smacking against the mat, and he lies motionless for the time being. Crash flips him over, and then just begins to choke the life out of Crazy Boy, throttling his neck and roaring trash talk down into his face. Referee Nolan starts to admonish Crash, but Crash refuses to break the chokehold until Nolan is just seconds away from completing his five count. Jimmy Yates: Talk about brutality. Crash is willing to pull out all the stops tonight; he’s working on punishing this bitter rival. Bryan Harris: And doing damned fine job of it, if you ask me. Tyrone is in over his head. Tyrone is gasping against the canvas, and Crash moves in on him, yanking him up to his feet. Crash irish whips Crazy Boy into the ropes, and on the rebound he looks to take Tyrone’s head off with a clothesline, but Crazy Boy ducks the attempt and comes back at Crash with a spinning wheel kick. Tyrone’s boot catches Crash right on the temple, and he goes down in a heap. The crowd reacts like an electric current has just been sent through them, thousands of fans rising in their seats and getting behind Crazy Boy. Alan Ducard: Would you listen to these fans? They love Crazy Boy! This ovation is deafening! Jimmy Yates: Tyrone finally starting to build some momentum, but can he capitalize? Tyrone rises up to his feet, then focuses on Crash, bringing him into a sitting position and LOCKING his hand down against Crash’s shoulder near the collar bone. Tyrone squeezes, applying a load of pressure, and Crash’s face absolutely CONTORTS with pain. Crazy Boy grips his own forearm with his other hand, driving down as much force as possible into the submission hold. Nolan starts to get into Crash’s face, asking if he wants to give it up, but The Diabolik member growls out the word “Never.” Alan Ducard: CRAZY NERVE HOLD! This is a devastating maneuver, sends little shockwaves of tension and severe pain straight into the nervous system. Jimmy Yates: Tyrone has it cinched in tight by the look of it, is Crash gonna tap out?? Bryan Harris: No fricken’ way. Crash will find a way out of this. Although in an untold amount of pain, Crash manages to fight up to one knee, and then using a bit of leverage he rises up to a standing position. Gathering up all of his will, he fires off a big elbow into Tyrone’s breadbasket, forcing Crazy Boy to release the hold. Tyrone staggers back a step, but he bounces right back with a kick directed into Crash’s stomach. Crash doubles over on his feet, and Tyrone takes advantage, hitting the ropes and then driving Crash’s skull into the mat with a swinging DDT. Crash lands hard, his body flopping down awkwardly against the mat, and Tyrone floats over and makes the cover. ONE! TWO! THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOO!! Alan Ducard: Crash just manages a kick out, but it was close, almost too close for comfort! Bryan Harris: Let’s go Crash; get back into this thing! Tyrone doesn’t let the kickout bother him; he’s right back up, bringing Crash with him. Crazy Boy takes hold of Crash’s arm, and then reeling back with every ounce of strength he has, he hurls Crash towards one of the turnbuckles with an irish whip, dropping his own body to the canvas for added momentum. Crash takes the hit chest first; his sternum smashing against the turnbuckle, forcing him to stagger backwards, his arms flailing. Tyrone lets him come, and then he LEAPS up, grabbing Crash by the head and dropping down to the canvas with a jumping neckbreaker. Crash rolls to the side, cradling the back of his neck, his face slick with sweat. Jimmy Yates: Tyrone’s controlling the pace of this match now, the ball is in his court, let’s see if he can hit that slam dunk. Bryan Harris: He’s using up too much steam, only a matter of time before he wears himself out. Crash crawls to his knees, hands against the canvas, only for Tyrone to race across the ring and slam a boot into his bald pate. Crash reels, nearly falling, obviously losing grip on his center of balance. Tyrone hits the ropes again, thinking of going for another boot, but Crash bounds up to his feet and snatches Tyrone into his arms, spinning around and crushing him down into the canvas spine-first. Bryan Harris: Now THAT is a spinebuster! The D ain’t dead yet. Jimmy Yates: Surprising burst of speed there from the brawler, can’t say I’m surprised though, even though he’s a mass of muscle, Crash has always prided himself in being a very athletic superstar. Crash straddles Tyrone, nailing him over and over again with closed fist after closed fist. Rights and lefts, followed by a barrage of just straight rights, nailing Tyrone with sledgehammer-like shots. Finally after he’s satisfied with the damage done, Crash rolls off of his opponent. Tyrone fights his way up too, pulling on the ropes for leverage, his knees threatening to buckle beneath his own weight. In desperation, Tyrone gets a run at Crash, only to be caught around the midsection. Crash then pivots and let’s Tyrone soar as he falls backward, hitting a beautiful overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Crazy Boy sails across the ring and hits the canvas like a projectile, his legs smacking against the ropes and bouncing off. Alan Ducard: That was a textbook overhead belly-to-belly suplex, and you won’t see it EVER done better in this lifetime. Jimmy Yates: Crazy Boy has gotta be out after that one, the lights are on but nobody’s home… Crash is right back up, and he isolates Tyrone, bringing him to his feet and then crushing a heavy shoulder into his gut, using it as a battering ram as he forces Tyrone up against one of the turnbuckle corners. Once there he just unloads with shoulder after shoulder to the midsection, the hits almost as forceful as a shotgun blast. Tyrone lets out whoosh after whoosh of air as it’s driven from his lungs, his hands gripping the back of Crash’s head in vain. Crash is relentless, using his shoulder like a piston, again and again and again. Jimmy Yates: Crazy Boy can’t take much more of this assault. He’s not being allowed to draw in oxygen, and that is BAD news. Bryan Harris: Smart move on Crash’s part, keep him winded, deplete his reserves and make sure he has nothing left to fall back on. Crash finally backs off, actually going to the opposite turnbuckle and leaning down into a runner’s stance. After a moment to soak up the crowd’s negative reaction, Crash’s heels burn the canvas as he races towards Tyrone, lowering his shoulder and looking for a big hit. But just before impact can be made, Tyrone dives out of the way, and Crash can’t stop himself, his shoulder smashing into nothing but the unforgiving steel of the ring post. Crash slumps away, holding his shoulder, only for Tyrone to move in and palm the back of his head, leaping down into a sitting position and bulldogging Crash’s face into the mat. Alan Ducard: Crash went for a high risk move there, and you see it didn’t pay off. That steel ring post is unpadded, it has NO give. A man could easily break a shoulder after smashing up against that thing. Crazy Boy goes to the opposite side of the ring, ascending the turnbuckle carefully and keeping a watchful eye on his opponent. Crash forces his way up to a vertical base, stumbling from side to side, and as he turns around Tyrone DIVES off the turnbuckle, locking both feet together and blasting Crash right in the face with a well-timed missile dropkick. Crash is driven straight down to the canvas on his back, a little rivulet of blood starting to drip from one nostril. He rolls over, breathing hard, knocked firmly off his game for the moment. Bryan Harris: I think I saw blood there, Crash just got his nose busted up pretty bad. Jimmy Yates: That’s a risk you have to be willing to take when you enter that ring. Now we’ll see of the sight of his own blood motivates Crash or dooms him. Tyrone helps Crash to his feet, and then begins to pepper him with palm thrusts, directed to the sternum and the head. With Crash successfully thrown off balance, Tyrone sets his feet up and manages to lift the near three hundred pounds of weight up onto his shoulders. With the veins standing out on Tyrone’s neck, he begins to spin in a full rotation, before crashing down to the mat on his back and slamming Crash down with a samoan drop. Tyrone crawls into position and pulls back on one of Crash’s thick legs, looking for a pinfall. ONE! TWO! THREE-NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Crash kicks out at the last moment, using his leg strength to force his way out of the pinning predicament. Alan Ducard: Another close call! Crazy Boy was seconds away from tasting victory. Bryan Harris: Not yet, Alan. Crash’s legs are heavily muscled; he can kick out of just about any pin attempt Tyrone dreams up. Tyrone slowly makes his way up to his feet, wiping sweat from his brow. He looks out at the fans, and they positively ROAR at him, feeding him, giving him the power to keep fighting the good fight. Crazy Boy makes a beeline for Crash, pulling him up to his feet, and then locking up a leg and an arm, stretching the stocky superstar’s stomach to its breaking point. Tyrone rears back, applying as much torque as he can, his long hair practically pasted to his forehead with perspiration. Jimmy Yates: Abdominal stretch. Tyrone has it locked in, and at this crucial point in the match, it could prove to be Crash’s undoing. Bryan Harris: Fight it Crash, Big Lou is counting on you! The D is counting on you! Crash groans against the pain, shaking his head firmly when Nolan asks
if he wants to give it up. He shakes his fist in the air, trying to
psych himself up, finding absolutely no help from the crowd. Tyrone
pulls back even harder, almost tearing the lining of his very flesh,
and causing Crash to let out a yelp of excruciation. Bryan Harris: Yeah! That’s what I’m talking about. Crash is showing these people why he’s a former World Champion; he knows how to get the job done. Alan Ducard: He’s proven that in the past, but now it’s time to see if he can finish the job. Jimmy Yates: It’s put up or shut up, boys. I’m eager to see how this one ends. Crash very carefully picks Tyrone up, latching a hand around his throat.
Using that animalistic power, Crash then lifts Tyrone up over his head,
military pressing the young man. Crash takes a step forward, and then
just tosses Crazy Boy. Tyrone sails across the ring a few feet before
smashing into the canvas, and he rolls backwards until his momentum
is stopped by the bottom rope. Crash hangs back, waiting for Tyrone
to find his footing so that he can strike. Crazy Boy finally manages
to gain a standing position, using the ropes like a helping hand, and
as he turns around Crash trundles towards him, arm extended for a big
clothesline. Alan Ducard: Nearly cut him in half! That offensive string backfired on Crash completely. Jimmy Yates: Tyrone really nailed him; I could practically see sweat flying off his head when those two connected. Tyrone has returned his attention to the turnbuckle, and now he is making his way up, step by determined step before coming to perch himself on the top turnbuckle. Crash is still laid out, eyes glazed over, seeming to be taking a trip down dream street. With the crowd cheering his name, Crazy Boy LEAPS off the buckle, tucking himself down and flipping into a 450 motion. He soars down towards Crash, but just before impact can be made Crash rolls to the side, scampering just INCHES out of harm’s way. Tyrone lands on his knees, his kneecaps connecting with nothing but canvas. He cries out, falling onto his side and holding his legs up near his chest. Crash sees an opportunity, and like a scavenger he flings an arm over Tyrone. Nolan does his job. ONE! TWO! NOOOOOOOOOOO!! One of Tyrone’s shoulders shoots upwards off the canvas, breaking the pinfall. Crash yells out in frustration, running a hand over his bald head. Working his way up to his feet, Crash reaches down and pulls Tyrone up. Crazy Boy can barely stand, his knees threatening to buckle, but Crash takes his vertical base away from him anyways, lifting him up onto one shoulder and making an attempt to force him down into a tombstone piledriver position. Bryan Harris: Get ready for the AERO ZEPPELIN DRIVER! We’re about to see a skull get cracked! Alan Ducard: Not so fast Bry, Crazy Boy is slipping out of his grasp! Tyrone shifts his body, making himself dead weight, until finally he slides off Crash’s shoulder, his feet touching the canvas. Tyrone drops himself down, locking Crash up between the legs and rolling him into a school boy pin attempt. ONE! TWO! THREE-NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Bryan Harris: Crash kicks out! Thank god, Crash kicks out! Alan Ducard: Both men have got to be hurting at this point; this has been an amazing match. Crash bounds up to his feet, and CLOCKS Tyrone right across the throat with a clothesline, the force of the blow so strong that Crash falls right down to the canvas with it. Crash slowly gets back up, with Tyrone rising as well a few feet from him. Crash runs forward a second time, but Tyrone leapfrogs him, only for Crash to follow up on the rebound with a high knee that catches Crazy Boy right between the shoulder blades. Bryan Harris: Well placed knee, caught Crazy Boy right along the edge of the spine. Crash staggers forward, reaching down and pulling Crazy Boy up by the hair. Before Crash can follow up Tyrone spins around and locks him up by the back of the head, falling to both knees and hitting a bone-crunching jawbreaker. Crash stumbles backwards, one hand wrapped around his jaw. Tyrone sees his chance; he’s up quickly and heads straight for his nemesis. Tyrone grabs one of Crash’s arms and attempts to lift him up into a falcon arrow predicament, but Crash’s weight along with Tyrone’s ailing knees is too much for him to bear, after lifting Crash up about a foot off the ground he falls right back down, his feet connecting with the canvas. Crash throws Tyrone’s arm off and then powers Tyrone up into another military press position. However just as Crash looks to drop Tyrone, he switches up his position and wraps his legs around Crash’s neck, only to roll Crash up into a victory roll pin attempt. ONE! TWO! THREE! Josephina Colbert: HERE IS YOUR WINNER, “CRAZZZZZZYYYY BOYYYYYY” TYRONE SMITHHHHHHHHHH!!!! At this point Crash has rolled out of the ring and fallen to the outside in exhaustion, leaving Crazy Boy in the center of the ring on his knees, both fists raised up as the referee raises his right hand in victory. The fans SCREAM their approval, a “CRAZZYYYY BOYYY” chant rocking the United Center. The locker room seems to open up, and out comes Domination walking wide by side with The Outlaw Greyson Blade. RAGE & VENOM slide into the ring, going over to Tyrone and patting him on the back. Crazy Boy grins, and Greyson Blade moves in, shaking his hand earnestly and offering him words of congratulations. Trent Logan makes make a motion to his boys all the while clapping his hands, and the muscle-bound RAGE & VENOM lift Tyrone up in the air and place him on their shoulders. Crazy Boy smiles out the crowd from his perch, his fists still extended
skyward. The United Center pours a heart-felt and emotionally charged
ovation down on Tyrone, everyone seemingly happy to get behind Crazy
Boy’s big win.
