As soon as they realize that Allocca is no longer in the match, both X-Calibur and Justin Moreno release their grips, turn around and back up as quickly as possible, getting on their guard to keep from being attacked by the other. Sizing each other up, they stand six feet from one another, and suddenly Crash moves in and clotheslines X-Calibur hard down to the mat and then spins around and kicks him in the ribs. Moreno takes advantage of the situation and jumps up and grabs onto the back of Crash’s shoulders, bringing his knees up and then pulling backwards, hitting a lung blower.

Jimmy Yates: Justin Moreno with a great move to put Crash down onto his back, and now he’s right back up to his feet…

Alan Ducard: Nifty standing corkscrew plancha down onto X-Calibur, and Justin Moreno is non-stop as he gets out onto the apron, and he’s making his way to the top rope!

Bryan Harris: If he’s going to do anything, Moreno needs to act fast, because Crash is back on his feet!

Jimmy Yates: There he goes!!

Leaping off the top rope, Justin Moreno locks his legs around the neck of Crash and attempts a flying headscissors, but Crash gets his arms underneath Justin’s back, pivots and tosses Moreno off of him towards the corner. Before hitting the mat, Justin’s shoulder catches the bottom turnbuckle, flipping him over onto his stomach.

Bryan Harris: That’s the kind of reversal that shows you just how talented Crash is as a competitor!

Alan Ducard: It certainly helped him stay in this match, but I have to think that the move Moreno attempted still put a bit of strain on Crash’s neck. It might not have been the intended consequence of the move, but it certainly might help to keep Crash from winning this match.

Turing around, Crash tries to shake off the twinge of pain, but he’s met with a kick to the gut from X-Calibur, doubling him over. Moving right in, X-Calibur hooks both arms and drops to the mat, driving Crash’s head downwards with the Trouble-Arm DDT, getting a big reaction from the fans.

Jimmy Yates: Big opportunity here for X-Calibur… And he’s going to the outside and looking to the corner!!

Alan Ducard: Could he be looking for the Hang Time Elbow?! If he hits it, Crash could very well be done for!

As soon as X-Calibur gets to the top rope, he tries to steady himself, but Justin Moreno gets up off the mat and gets to the top rope as quickly as he can, ducking underneath X-Calibur’s arm and throwing his onto X’s far shoulder. The fans get excited as they think they’re about to see the M-80, but X-Calibur uses his elbow and drills Justin in the back of the head. Moreno nearly falls off, but he reaches out and grabs X-Calibur and maintains his balance. Reaching over, Justin grabs X-Calibur’s other arm and leaps off the top rope, throwing X-Calibur to the mat with a top rope armdrag takeover.

Bryan Harris: X-Calibur took too long trying to get his balance, and Justin Moreno just gets right up there and makes him pay.

Alan Ducard: That he did, and now it looks like Justin Moreno is going to try to finish off Crash, who is still feeling the effects of that Trouble-Arm DDT.

After stomping down onto Crash a couple times, J-Mo gets out onto the apron and the camera follows him as he steps onto the middle rope and then hops up onto the guardrail bolt, steadying himself, and then he puts a foot on each of the top ropes. Flipping forward, Justin goes around more than once as he flies towards Crash, and at the last moment, Crash gets his hand up in front of him, absorbing some of the impact. Neither man moves, but as Justin is in a pinfall position covering Crash, the referee comes into the ring and makes the count.

ONE!

TWO!!

NO!! Crash shoves Justin Moreno off of him, then turns over onto his stomach and starts working his way back up.

Jimmy Yates: Wait a minute, Crash just pulled those brass knuckles off his hand and stuffed them back into his waistband… I bet he used them on Moreno!

Alan Ducard: I bet you’re right, because Justin still hasn’t moved. Wait, what’s Crash doing? He’s laying back down?! Why isn’t he getting up?!

Arching his back a little bit, X-Calibur fights his way up off the mat. Spotting the positioning of both of his opponents, X-Calibur moves over and grabs the legs of Justin Moreno, who is in the middle of the ring. Entangling his arm with Justin’s legs in an elevated position, X-Calibur flips J-Mo over, locking on the Legendary Pain.

Bryan Harris: May as well get a referee in there now, because Moreno is OUT COLD!

Jimmy Yates: And why wouldn’t he be, having been hit with a pair of brass knuckles after he flew off the top rope like that.

Alan Ducard: A referee moves into position, and it’s all academic now. Raise of the hand… Yes, it’s all over, the referee signaling for the announcement.

Realizing what just happened, the fans begin booing.

Josephina Colbert: As a result of a submission to X-Calibur, Justin Moreno has been eliminated.

Puzzled by why they’re booing him, X-Calibur stays on his knees for a moment and just looks out amongst the crowd. Crash stops playing possum and gets to his feet and measures up his only remaining opponent, who has no idea that he’s no longer laying on the mat.

Jimmy Yates: This could be very bad…

Bryan Harris: For X-Calibur, yeah, it could.

Charging in, Crash picks up one of his legs and goes to kick X-Calibur in the back of the head, but at the last moment X-Calibur rolls to the side and gets to his knees, glaring across the ring at Crash, who looks angry that he missed the kick.

Jimmy Yates: Incredible! X-Calibur found a way to avoid that kick, and the fans are cheering.

Alan Ducard: X-Calibur looks down for a moment at Justin Moreno, then back up at Crash, and I think he’s realizing why the fans were booing him a moment ago.

Crash holds out both of his hands, begging X-Calibur to come lock up with him. Instead of locking up, X-Calibur rushes in and starts pummeling Crash with hard right hands. When Crash finds himself backed into the corner, he blocks a couple shots and then does a switch around and slams a forearm into X-Calibur’s face. Then a second one. Climbing up onto the second turnbuckle, Crash starts the mounted punching, but he goes so quickly that the fans can’t count. Finally able to block the sixth one, X-Calibur shoves Crash down off the second rope, grabs him, spins him around and throws him into the corner, then hops up onto the second turnbuckle.

Jimmy Yates: X-Calibur looking for some punches of his own!

Bryan Harris: The fans aren’t having a hard time counting this time!

Four! Five! Six!! Seven!! Eight!! Nine!! Ten!! Eleven!! Twelve!!

Shoving X-Calibur backwards, Crash buys himself an opportunity, but since X-Calibur remains on his feet, he doesn’t have too much time. Stepping out of the corner, Crash quickly finds his head in X-Calibur’s grasp.

Alan Ducard: X-Terminator… NO!!

Bryan Harris: Crash with a shot to the ribs! He blocked it!!

Spinning X-Calibur around, Crash grabs him around the waist, takes a step forward and then sends X-Calibur up over his head with a belly-to-belly suplex, and X-Calibur’s back crashes awkwardly into the second turnbuckle and he crumples to the mat.

Jimmy Yates: Rough landing for X-Calibur, can he find a way to come back?

Bryan Harris: No chance, Jimbo! This is the beginning of the end, and there’s no need to worry, it’s going to be a short trip from here!

Pulling X-Calibur out of the corner, Crash gets near his opponent’s legs, turns him over and crosses them at the ankle. Using his leg to keep that part of the hold in place, Crash reaches down, grabs around X-Calibur’s neck, then rolls over onto his back, lifting X-Calibur up into an elevated STF.

Alan Ducard: This is Crash’s signature submission hold, and you can see by the look on his face that X-Calibur is in a world of pain right about now!

Jimmy Yates: He’s going to find a way out of this, I just know it!!

Bryan Harris: NO. CHANCE.

Alan Ducard: X-Calibur is reaching out… I think he might be able to get to the ropes…

Jimmy Yates: Al…most… there…

Crowd: YEAH!!!!!

Jimmy Yates: He does it! X-Calibur gets his hand on the middle rope, and Crash has to break up the hold!!

Alan Ducard: He can’t believe it! Crash doesn’t want to believe it! The referee is telling him he must, though, and these fans are going wild!

Jimmy Yates: Get ready for a new World Champion!

No surprise to anyone, Crash is the first one of the two men to get to his feet, and he doesn’t waste any time in trying to kick his opponent, but X-Calibur grabs his leg and shoves him back a couple steps, buying him a chance to get up. Crash moves in again and tries to punch X-Calibur, but X blocks it, ducks his shoulder, grabs Crash around the waist and then throws him backwards.

Alan Ducard: Modified Northern Lights, but X-Calibur isn’t bridging for the pinfall.

Jimmy Yates: He looks to have other ideas.

Roling backwards, X-Calibur gets to his feet, positioned down by Crash’s legs, which he grabs into his arms and lifts up off the mat. Trying to entangle his arms with Crash’s legs to get into cloverleaf position, X-Calibur leans forward a bit too far and Crash uses all the room he’s got and chops down slightly with a fist closed around the foreign object he had just removed from his waistband. X-Calibur is knocked back onto his ass, and Crash pulls his legs away, rolls over and tucks the object back into his waistband.

Bryan Harris: PERFECTION!!

Jimmy Yates: You’re kidding me! The referees didn’t see that?!

Alan Ducard: They don’t have the benefit of high definition video monitors like we do, Jimmy, they have to rely on their positioning around the ring, and I don’t think any of the four of them were in a spot to see the brass knucks go into or out of the waistband.

Jimmy Yates: Well Crash didn’t exactly get a punch with them, so maybe X-Calibur can still come back after this…

Turning over onto his stomach, X-Calibur tries to work to get up off the mat, but the blood starts coming down from the middle of his forehead. Crash gets to his feet and grabs X-Calibur by the back of the head and lifts him up off the mat, spins him around and lifts him up into the tombstone position… then spins just a little bit and drives X-Calibur’s head down into the mat with the Aero Zeppelin Driver.

Bryan Harris: That’s it, the belt is staying with Crash!

Looking down on his last opponent, Crash gets back to his knees, reaches down and puts his hand right in the middle of X-Calibur’s forehead, then smears the blood across his face. When Crash’s hand gets near X-Calibur’s chin, X-Calibur reaches up and tries to force Crash’s hand away.

Alan Ducard: He still has some life left in him… but how much, that’s the question.

Rising up to his feet, Crash looks down on his crimson masked opponent and watches as X-Calibur slowly turns himself over, causing more blood to come down his face. Getting his hands down onto the mat, he begins trying to crawl towards the ropes. Not letting him go any further, Crash reaches down and again lifts X-Calibur to his feet. The Hawkins Memorial Tournament winner swings with all his might and connects with a right hand to Crash’s face, but there isn’t enough power behind it to force Crash to let him go. For the second time, Crash lifts X-Calibur up off the mat into the tombstone position, spins around slightly and DROPS him down onto his head with the Aero Zeppelin Driver. This time, Crash doesn’t get up, remaining on the mat for the pinfall attempt. The nearest referee slides into the ring and makes the count.

ONE…

...

TWO…

...

THREE.

The fans were dead silent until the third hand dropped, with hopes and prayers in their heart that somehow, someway, X-Calibur would find a way to kick out. As the referee’s hand dropped for a third time, the chorus of booing rained down from all over the arena, as well as a little bit of trash, the fans showing their complete disgust with the final result. Signalling for the bell, the referee exits the ring and moves to the time keeper’s station as quickly as possible. Obviously not happy about it, Josephina Colbert nevertheless makes the official announcement.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner of this match as a result of a pinfall… and STILL the LEGACY World Champion… Crrrrrrrrrrrash!

Jimmy Yates: I can’t believe it. I really can not believe it. After all this… Crash and The Diabolik retain the World Championship.

Bryan Harris: Well you better believe it, because here they come!

Out from the back, with the assistance of a cane, Big Lou hobbles out through the curtain, a huge grin on his face. He is flanked by Giovanni and Tino, followed up by Jessica Stevens and James Win. The five individuals get to the ring, moving no faster than Big Lou out of respect for their boss.

Alan Ducard: You're looking at quite possibly the only people in the building here tonight who are pleased with the final outcome of this match.

Bryan Harris: That might be the case, but at the end of the day there were 12 guys who had the opportunity to get in there and keep The Diabolik from getting the final celebration here tonight, but each and every one of them came up short.

Jimmy Yates: Yeah, but Crash did get a little help along the way with those brass knuckles which are still tucked into the waistband of his pants.

Alan Ducard: There's no denying that, but Crash took a risk of losing his World Title by using those brass knuckles. Had he been disqualified and eliminated from the match, he wouldn't have been able to walk out of this building. He gambled his belt that the new referees wouldn't catch him using the foreign object, a gamble that paid off.

Finally in the ring, The Diabolik celebrate as Crash is handed the World Championship belt by one of the referees. Looking at the belt up close, Crash kisses the nameplate on it before raising it above his head, getting a louder chorus of booing. Locking eyes with Big Lou, Crash starts passing the World Title around, letting each of the people in the ring touch it before the belt returns to him. Putting it over his shoulder, Crash taps the faceplate before heading towards the edge of the ring where the entrance walkway is, and that's the parting shot of the evening.
