Greatness and Failure

Look into the mirror.

Come on just take a look.

That’s what his mind is urging him to do as he sits on an examination bench deep in the bowls of the arena, even though his body tells him he should just stay put. However, in this case the mind is stronger than the body, and as the scene comes into view we are looking into a mirror, and we see The Outlaw leaning to get a vision of his body in the glass.

Holy fuck I’m a mess.

Jesus, I need to get cleaned up.

However, instead of moving, he just stares. Sure he was stitched up, but the blood remained. He raised his hand to touch the stitched area, and he felt nothing due to the numbing agent. It was a strange feeling now. For an hour it was nothing but pain, the nerves signaling constantly that his body was in sheer agony, but a few pills and shots later there was nothing. It was almost as if he had lost something, because with the exit of the pain came the exit of the rush and the adrenaline of the fight. He looked on at his carcass in the mirror, beyond his blood stained face and upper torso and looked at where Issac had battered his ribs and back, and he could see some bluish brushes forming around his ribs to the front. He knew that in the morning he would want to die, but for now he would enjoy the nothingness of the pain killers. He knew tomorrow morning he would question himself and ask himself if it was worth it. The Outlaw reached over and clutched The No Limits Title his massive, blood-stained fist, with a smile,

You’re damn right it’s fucking worth it.

Suddenly, he hears the softest footsteps in the world, and he slowly turns his head towards the door of the room, and there she stands before him. Her eyes are bloodshot, her pale cheeks stained with black mascara. There’s just a hint of blood from her lip, probably from biting it to hold back her emotions, but her clothes are stained with blood, her hands covered his blood.

Blood, blood, and more blood.

She stands before him, trembling slightly, her emotions a mix amalgamation of rage, fear, and sadness. She witnessed what she had not thought possible. Her foundation was shaken, and at the moment she had nowhere to go and nowhere to turn. Family was so far away, and her life was now miles away with white coats crawling over him. Slowly she speaks …

Elizabeth Gaunt: They took him to the hospital …

The Outlaw nods to her with one part of him flippantly wanting to mock her, humiliate her with some rude comment questioning her point and why she’s here, and yet a part of him sort of understood. In some weird way, he was the only real relationship she had here in this place. For all of the strides in the teaming between Greg Allocca and Issac, Liz was not there when it happened, and in this moment where she was … human … Greg’s insanity wouldn’t allow him to understand. The Outlaw looked deep into her wide eyes … his own bluish grays piercing hers.

The Outlaw: I did what I had to do.

I did what I promised I’d do.

I’m a man of my word …

Stick it to her. Bitch. Whore. Cunt. Tear out her heart right now.

… Liz.

The fact that he used her name caused Liz to turn her head, almost in disbelief.

She expected rebuke.

She expected disgust and abuse, and now her adversary was all she could turn towards.

Elizabeth: What … now … I … he failed.

...He failed and we have nothing.

...We have fucking nothing because of you … because of us.

...The shots are gone … our chance is gone… fuck !

...What are we to do now Outlaw? What am I to do?

The Outlaw: Go to him, Liz. Go to Issac. I know you don’t want to see him right now. You’re angry that he failed. You’re afraid now because you aren’t sure what’s going to happen or if he’ll ever have another shot. You want to hate me, but you know tonight rests on your shoulders. Issac was good tonight. Issac was great tonight. I’ll even admit that that was one of the best performances I’ve ever stood against, but the bottom line is he lost. However, what to do with that loss, is now his decision to make. I did my part and I beat him. I set the standard for him. It’s up to him now how he responds to his failure. He needs you now Liz. He needs you to be there for him when he wakes up. In this most unpleasant of realities, he needs to know that he still has you, and that even after tonight, there is one last glimmer of hope. Take him this message. One warrior to another: If he decides that he wants to truly elevate himself, and do what it takes to match me and beat me? Let’s just say I’ll be waiting to test him one last time.

Liz’s eyes grow wide, and for a moment she smiles, but it fades quickly, not wanting Blade to realize that for one brief moment she didn’t positively hate him. For all that he had taken, he offered her that seed of hope of one more chance, and she turns to leave the room, but Blade’s voice calls her back.

The Outlaw: Just because I will offer him that measure of respect as a fighter? Doesn’t mean I loathe you any less. I still think you’re both fucked up, especially you - crazy, disgusting bitch.

Liz looks over her shoulder and smiles wickedly at Greyson, who had just set things right in their world. She flips him off over her shoulder. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

A Word With The Boss

Backstage now in the Diabolik lockeroom, Crash hits the blue button on the water cooler, pouring some of the ice cold refreshment into a small dixie cup. He throws the mouth full worth of water back like a shot of whiskey, than tosses the cup in a waist basket. "AHH" he says, as he turns around to Big Lou.

Crash: It feels weird without the World Heavyweight Title right now, Lou. No sweat though. I'll have it back tonight after this disaster of a main event.

Big Lou nods his head in agreement.

Big Lou: Yes, I have no doubt that after they parade that belt around a little bit tonight it will be right back in Diabolik’s possession.

Crash smirks an uncomfortable smirk.

Crash: Yes. My possession.

Big Lou nods.

Big Lou: Yes. Diabolik possession.

Lou pauses a moment, seeing how uncomfortable Crash is with his words.

Big Lou: Listen. This is about Diabolik, right? We'll get the championship back. It belongs with us. You still believe in our cause, correct?

Crash nods his head, even though that uncomfortable feeling is still there.

Crash: Yes. As much as it would pain me now to be without MY BELT, I still believe in this. I'm still with The D all the way.

Lou nods his head in approval.

Big Lou: Good.

The Challenge

The glare of the spotlights fall on the Legacy Ring as the piano opening of the Raconteurs "The Switch and the Spur" begins.

"In the heat of the desert sun,
on the blistering trail "

A parade of Legacy production vehicles passes by us on the open road.

"An appaloosa and,
a wanted man sprung from jail "

Crash steps from backstage with the World Title on his shoulder and a cocky smile on his face.

"Slow in motion and shadow-less
The switch and the spurs"

Crash is joined by the "D" flanking him: Jake Dominion, Gryffin Anselm, James Win and Tito and Giovani.

"Every living thing, with a fatal sting
Bark and rattle this curse "

A flash of what's on the horizon the other 4 captains: X-Calibur, Cronos Diamante, Justin Moreno, Loco Martinez.

"The rider hallucinates
The snapping hooves on the sand "

Crazy Boy and Greg Allocca standing toe to toe. Devastation and Stellar staring one another down.

"Spits a venom dream, recalls a stranger scream
And a broken hand... "

Rawlings and Iley in each other's face yelling at one another. Bailey talking to John Thomas.

"The saddle spotted with sweat and blood
The poison pumps through his veins "

A close up of Jake Dominion with an evil smirk on his face.

"There's no stopping this, and now he's powerless
Still holding the reigns... "

Crash with the World Title.

The music hits a crescendo and we hear a group singing the outro:

"Any pour souls who trespass against us
Whether it be beast or man "

Diabolik swarming X-Calibur. Gryffin nailing a "Devastator". Crash planting Loco with the "Aero Zeppelin Driver".

"Will suffer the bite or be stung dead on sight
By those who inhabit this land"

Dominion nailing Loco and then Stellar with the Iced Out.

"For theirs is the power and this is their kingdom
As sure as the sun does burn "

The shot of the empty Legacy ring bathed in spotlights.

"So enter this path, but heed these four words,
You shall never return... "

A shot of the world title with a quick shot of every team: the Diabolik, Team X, Team Honor, MoFo's Mob, and Team Monster.

"Any pour souls who trespass against us
Whether it be beast or man"

Loco dropping Gryffin with a dropkick. X-Calibur nailing Crash with a clothesline. Cronos running Jake out of the ringside area. Crazy Boy drops Crash with a DDT.

"Will suffer the bite or be stung dead on sight
By those who inhabit this land"

"Stellar Drop" from Stellar. "Not Your Average Moonsault" from Thomas. the M-80 from Moreno.

"For theirs is the power and this is their kingdom
As sure as the sun does burn"

Bailey taking a wager, and then choking an opponent out. Devastation hoisting the Legacy World title. Becomes Rawlings hoisting the Legacy World Title.

"So enter this path, but heed these four words,
You shall never return..."

Another shot of an empty ring. A close up of the Legacy World Title. And a quick flurry of shots of the 15 men in the Co Op Challenge, as the music fades away.

Co-Op Challenge for the
LEGACY World Championship

The bell rings once… twice… then a third time, echoing throughout the arena. The sound invigorates the live crowd, because they know what’s coming. The lights around the arena dim, all except for the spotlight that shines down into the middle of the ring where Josephina Colbert stands, her gold and silver spaghetti strap top reflects brilliantly.

Josephina Colbert: It is now time for the main event, the Co-Op Challenge!!

The amount of cheers increase for a moment and then Josephina continues.

Josephina Colbert: This match will start out with three individuals, and then every 90 seconds another competitor will come to the ring at random. Eliminations can occur by pinfall or submission anywhere at the ringside area. Prior to the time when the match has just five competitors left, once a team captain has been eliminated the entire team is eliminated regardless of whether they already entered the match or not. The match will continue until such a time when there is only one man left, and that man will be the World Champion!

The cheering kicks up a little bit more as the excitement level grows upon being reminded what the ultimate prize for this match is. Josephina exits the ring and numbers begin flashing all over the LEGACY Vision jumbotron, and then red lights shine down as “Step Up” by Drowning Pool starts playing over the speakers and a large red italic “D” appears on the jumbotron.

Alan Ducard: We’re about to have the first competitor make his entrance, and I think we know who this is.

Bryan Harris: This is a travesty…

From all corners of the arena the boos begin ringing in as Gryffin Anselm walks out from the back, wearing his signature Diabolik shirt which matches the logo on the jumbotron, along with his black and red camouflage cargo pants.

Entry # 1 Gryffin Anselm

Jimmy Yates: This. Is. Fantastic! After everything the Diabolik has done, with everything that Gryffin Anselm has helped put into motion and executed at the expense of others, this is poetic justice that he’s going to be the first person to come to the ring.

Alan Ducard: As much as they’re booing his entrance, you have to think that these fans are glad to see Anselm coming to the ring to start this thing because that decreases his chances to win it all.

Jimmy Yates: The only person they’d rather see coming to the ring first would have to be Crash.

Getting to the end of the elevated walkway, Anselm enters the ring underneath the top rope, takes off his shirt and does some final stretching, watching the curtain to see who his other two opponents are going to be here at the start.

Bryan Harris: Whoever comes out second, whoever is backstage in the gorilla position right now, they have to be shaking in their boots at having to face Gryffin Anselm.

Alan Ducard: With all the combinations of who the third man might be, maybe it should be Gryffin who is hoping for a lucky draw.

Jimmy Yates: How great would it be if Crash and Jake Dominion were the second and third guys to come to the ring?! They’d have to fight each other!!

Bryan Harris: That would hardly be a random drawing, and I’d call the F.B.I. right away to find out what the hell was going on!

The red lights stop flashing and are replaced with lights of all different color, moving around the arena as fast as possible. Strobe lights flash from around the curtain and the LEGACY Vision jumbotron lights up again with a phrase that gets a lot of cheers from the fans.

LET’S – GO – CRA – ZY!!!

Bursting through the curtain as “Down and Out” by Tantric plays, Crazy Boy Tyrone Smith thrusts his hands into the air and acknowledges the cheers of the fans, and then he starts tugging at his “Team Vault” shirt. Suddenly Crazy Boy runs across the entrance walkway, getting all the way to the apron before stopping, a huge grin on his visage as he looks at Gryffin Anselm, who looks surprised at Crazy Boy’s sprint. Putting one foot onto the second rope, Crazy Boy hops up onto the top turnbuckle and then sits down, putting one leg on either side of the rope, able to see Gryffin Anselm and turn his head slightly to see the entrance stage.

Entry # 2 Crazy Boy

Alan Ducard: Tyrone Smith is a ball of fire and energy as he comes to the ring, and boy does he certainly look excited.

Bryan Harris: Of course he looks excited! He’s got himself an opportunity to get the World Championship, and opportunity that most people realize he doesn’t deserve. He got lucky in having a close match against Crash at STRIFE 34, and I’m glad that Crazy Boy has to start this thing out, because it just goes to show just how little of a chance he actually has to win the World Title, which is very fitting.

Jimmy Yates: First of all, I think Crazy Boy has the potential to beat anybody on any night, though he does need to work to be more consistent. Secondly, I’m really looking forward to seeing Crazy Boy and Gryffin Anselm lock up here in a couple moments.

Crazy Boy’s theme song fades under and the arena goes dark for a quick moment before blue spotlights shine down on the entrance stage and a rolling bassline begins kicking in and the jazzy flavor of the remix joins Filter’s original song. As “Hey Man Nice Shot” plays, John Thomas steps out from the back, his hooded robe pulled up over his head, wearing a pair of blue, black, and white shorts which end just above his knee.

Bryan Harris: Ooooohh… now here we go…

Alan Ducard: So now we know who the first three individuals are to start this match, but you have to wonder at this point how things are going to fare between John Thomas and Gryffin Anselm and how they will handle things here early on.

Jimmy Yates: We’ll have to wait for that, but it looks like Gryffin’s going to get his strategy kicked into gear immediately!

When the commotion is recognized by the production crew, the footage switches to one of the cameras covering the ring, and in the blue light bathing the ring, Gryffin Anselm is barely visible attacking Crazy Boy in the corner. The house lights come up and John Thomas’ theme song is silenced, and the booing immediately kicks back in again as the fans watch in living color as Anselm pounds on Crazy Boy, dropping him into a seated position in the corner with repeated punches. Once Crazy Boy is on the mat, Gryffin starts kicking Tyrone in the chest, wearing him out. Ripping Crazy Boy’s shirt off of him, Gryffin wraps it around Tyrone’s neck and begins choking him with it.

Alan Ducard: One of the four guest referees for this match is now up on the apron threatening to disqualify Gryffin Anselm for his illegal maneuver, and I’m afraid I have to apologize, I wish I could name the referee who is currently doing the reprimanding, but LEGACY hired four individuals to officiate this match to ensure that there’s no measure of conspiracy perpetrated by the Diabolik.

Bryan Harris: A totally useless and wasteful act, by the way, since The Diabolik aren’t going to be bribing referees to try to help them win a championship match.

Jimmy Yates: Oh yeah, right, like it would be sooo unheard of for them to use deception and other questionable tactics to bring home the gold?!

Bryan Harris: Crash already HAS the gold. He just has to RETAIN it tonight.

Keeping himself from getting himself disqualified and eliminated, Gryffin Anselm stops choking Crazy Boy when the referee’s count gets to four. After looking at the Team Vault shirt, Gryffin wipes the sweat off his forehead with it and then tosses it into the crowd and takes off his own shirt, tossing it to Josephina Colbert, where nearby John Thomas laughs as he gets an up-close view as the shirt nearly hits Josephina in the head.

Alan Ducard: John Thomas still remaining on the outside as Gryffin Anselm works over Crazy Boy inside the ring.

Bryan Harris: Very strategic by John Thomas, not entering the match until he absolutely has to, and since there are no count outs, I don’t suppose he ever HAS to get into the ring.

Jimmy Yates: Oh I’d imagine that there are at least a few guys involved in this match who’d like to get their hands on John Thomas whether or not he enters the ring… his MoFo’s Mob partner Rocky Stellar being one of them!

Bryan Harris: Whoa, just because they’re both on the same team, don’t call Rocky Stellar and John Thomas PARTNERS, because they couldn’t be farther from it!

Gryffin lifts Crazy Boy up off the mat and sends him across the ring with an irish whip. As Crazy Boy charges back towards him, Anselm goes for a clothesline. Spotting it in time, Crazy Boy ducks underneath the attempt and continues running, hits the ropes opposite ropes with a head of steam and spears Gryffin, knocking him down onto his back. Crazy Boy immediately positions himself with his knees on either side of Gryffin’s abdomen and immediately starts laying into his opponent’s face with mounted punches, the crowd going wild.

Alan Ducard: For the first time in this match, the crowd is getting something to cheer about since the action started!

Bryan Harris: They’re backing the wrong horse, Al, and they don’t even realize it! What in the world is this idiot doing now?!

Getting to his feet, Crazy Boy runs over to the corner and climbs to the second turnbuckle and motions for John Thomas to enter the ring, practically begging him to get the chance to lock up. Thomas takes off his robe and hands it to Josephina and takes a quick step towards the ring, but then stops in his tracks and smirks, seeing that he got Crazy Boy’s hopes up.

Jimmy Yates: Oh come on, John… How pathetic is that?

Bryan Harris: It’s a smart move by John Thomas, that’s what it is! John’s not an idiot, he knows Crazy Boy is warmed up and has a bunch of adrenaline flowing through his veins. That’s not the time to actually try to make a go of it with Crazy Boy.

Grabbing him by the waistband of his pants, Gryffin Anselm pulls Crazy Boy down off the turnbuckle, and immediately Crazy Boy swings around and hits Gryffin with a knife-edge chop to the chest. Anselm backs up a step and throws a right hand that connects with the side of Crazy’s cheek, but Crazy Boy then sends a swift kick to the gut that doubles Anselm over momentarily. Running into the ropes, Crazy Boy comes off with a ton of momentum and hits a Lou Thesz Press on Gryffin, then immediately starts in again with rapid-fire punches that again excite the crowd. Sliding into the ring and getting to his feet as quickly as possible, John Thomas blindsides Crazy Boy with a dropkick to the shoulder.

Alan Ducard: Finally entering the ring, John Thomas knocks Crazy Boy off of Anselm, the man to whom John Thomas owes a lot of his success, given all the training Gryffin Anselm provided him in the early part of his career.

Bryan Harris: Exactly right, Alan, which is why I don’t think it’s unreasonable that John Thomas would want to help Gryffin Anselm out.

Jimmy Yates: That, and there’s a Diabolik shirt backstage waiting in John Thomas’ locker room at this very moment.

Bryan Harris: Is that a fact? Do you know that to be the case? Because that’s a pretty strong accusation…

As Crazy Boy tries to get up off the mat to go after Thomas, JT grabs him by the arm and immediately throws him back down with an arm-drag takeover. Holding onto Crazy Boy’s wrist, John gets his feet underneath of him and then dives forward, sending his knee to the upper portion of Crazy Boy’s back, right into the shoulder area. Before Crazy Boy can get up off the mat, Gryffin Anselm steps in and stomps down onto the other part of his back, keeping him on the mat.

Alan Ducard: Gryffin Anselm and John Thomas now working in tandem to keep Crazy Boy on the mat, and this gives more credence to your claim that John Thomas is part of the Diabolik, and even if he isn’t yet, he very well might have an offer waiting for him backstage.

Bryan Harris: Yeah, MAYBE he’s got an offer waiting for him, maybe he’s already part of the group, but either way, that doesn’t mean that John Thomas has turned his back on Loco Martinez. I don’t personally find many redeeming qualities about Loco Martinez aside from the fact that he seems to find ways to win matches, but John Thomas and he are good friends, and John Thomas doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to just turn his back on Loco like that!

Jimmy Yates: Who knows… Loco Martinez turned his back on John Thomas a couple years ago, it could very well happen the other way around!

Each taking an arm, John Thomas and Gryffin lift Crazy Boy up off the mat and both send him into the ropes with a double-irish whip. On the return they go for a tandem clothesline, but Crazy Boy ducks the attempt and keeps running, hitting the ropes on the other side of the ring before JT and Anselm even turn around. When he gets close enough, Crazy Boy leaps up off the mat and extends both of his arms, taking down both Gryffin and John Thomas with a flying double clothesline. Hopping to his feet, Crazy Boy grabs the top rope and starts shaking it up and down.

Bryan Harris: Look at this idiot! The fact that he gets cheered just proves the fact that these fans all need to be barred from buying tickets to live shows until they can prove that they know what’s worthy of being cheered.

Alan Ducard: I’d say there’s plenty of reason to cheer for Crazy Boy. One of those reasons is evident right now, as you can see that he is more than willing to expend any and all momentum and energy he’s got to fight his opponent while also entertaining the fans!

After pumping his fists up and down, Crazy Boy exhales and then falls backwards, collapsing to the mat, exhausted. After a couple moments with no one moving, John Thomas reaches up and holds onto his neck, and Gryffin moves the hair out of his own face. Blinking a few times, Anselm rolls over onto his stomach and puts one of his fet underneath himself and then slowly gets back to his feet, shaking the cobwebs a little bit as he stumbles towards one of the corners. Looking around, Gryffin spots John Thomas as he starts to get up from the mat, and he decides to just stay in the corner and watch. Soon after John Thomas gets to his feet, Crazy Boy starts getting up as well.

Jimmy Yates: Crazy Boy must not have been TOO exhausted, ‘cause he’s getting right back up!

Bryan Harris: John Thomas isn’t going to let this get too far…

Moving in, John Thomas swings wildly with a haymaker aimed at Crazy Boy’s head, but the attempt is ducked. Immediately, Crazy Boy grabs John Thomas around the head and leg and hoists him up onto his shoulders into a fireman’s carry position. Seeing that his ally is in trouble, Gryffin runs in and tries to get to Crazy Boy, but Crazy Boy starts spinning, and John Thomas’ foot hits Anselm in the side of the head. The Diabolik member staggers back, but Crazy Boy continues with the Airplane Spin and the foot of John Thomas again drills Gryffin on the temple, this one knocking him to the mat.

Alan Ducard: Crazy Boy falls backwards, and John Thomas lands onto Gryffin’s chest!

Jimmy Yates: That’s quite possibly the most effective that Crazy Airlines - Destination Samoa has ever been, and listen to these fans, they’re loving it!!

Bryan Harris: Yeah, well Crazy Boy just stood up and fell right back down, and with another opponent coming to the ring, we’ll see how much Tyrone enjoys being as dizzy as he just made himself.

A buzzer sounds and then some blue and white kanji appear on the LEGACY Vision jumbotron, replaced by the phrase “Good Enough Isn’t… Perfect Is”. Coming through the curtain with a shirt bearing the same phrase, Stephen Rawlings comes out onto the entrance stage.

Alan Ducard: A member of Justin Moreno’s “Team Monster”, former LEGACY World Champion Stephen Rawlings is coming to the ring, now, and this is the fourth team now being represented.

Jimmy Yates: Thus far you probably could make an argument that John Thomas has been representing The Diabolik.

Bryan Harris: Don’t be absurd, Jimmy. He’s playing things strategically by working together with a guy who he’s had a good history with!

Alan Ducard: Either way, it should be interesting to see how Stephen Rawlings fares after already having one match tonight, his losing effort in the Hawkins Memorial Tournament Finals.

Jimmy Yates: Seeing what Rawlings’ number was, that gives even more reason why it would’ve been very important to Stephen Rawlings’ chances of gaining the World Title tonight for him to have won the opening match this evening.

Bryan Harris: Well Stephen Rawlings did find a way to retain the Tao of Valor Championship, so there’s still a chance he can walk away with two singles titles here tonight, although entering the ring as the fourth competitor, it’s going to be a tough task.

Having moved across the entrance walkway at a decent pace, Stephen Rawlings doesn’t acknowledge the fans, and rather he just gets right into the ring and sizes up his opponents. John Thomas and Gryffin Anselm are working to get to their feet in the far corners, and Crazy Boy is about to get to his feet, shaking off some of the dizziness. As soon as Crazy Boy gets to his feet, Stephen Rawlings sends him back down to the mat with a huge backflip dropkick. Taking Tyrone by the hair, Rawlings lifts him to his feet and then locks him into a collar and elbow tie-up. From there, Stephen immediately gets the advantage and hits a snap suplex.

Alan Ducard: Stephen Rawlings getting things started right away, and he’s playing to his strengths, keeping things fast paced and technical thus far.

Bryan Harris: Not to mention playing it smart by not going after Gryffin Anselm or John Thomas. No need for Rawlings to give Gryffin or JT a reason to turn the focus of that alliance on himself. I feel it should be noted, though, that Stephen Rawlings does look to have recovered from the opening match decent enough.

Jimmy Yates: Stephen Rawlings keeping Crazy Boy on the mat with a series of stomps, and now there’s an elbow drop to the middle of the chest by Rawlings, and Stephen sure got some elevation as he jumped straight up into the air!

Bryan Harris: Had he not been such a stellar wrestler, I’m sure Stephen Rawlings could’ve played professional basketball…

Alan Ducard: Rawlings stays on the mat and goes for the cover on Crazy Boy… one of the referees slides into the ring to make the count…

One…

Two…

Running in and placing a boot into the middle of Rawlings’ back, JT breaks up the pinfall attempt. Even after Stephen rolls off of Crazy Boy, John Thomas kicks Rawlings again, rolling him over onto his stomach. Positioning himself near the upper portion of Stephen’s body, John begins stomping down onto Rawling’s shoulder. Not wanting to take any further damage, Stephen Rawlings rolls out of the way and starts to get up of the mat, but JT grabs him by the wrist and twists him into a standing armbar. Diving forwards, Rawlings tries to do a forward roll to get out of the hold. Hoping to keep the advantage, John maintains his grip and twists under again, putting more strain on Stephen’s arm, but then Gryffin Anselm charges in and drills Rawlings with a shoulderblock, knocking Stephen down to the mat.

Jimmy Yates: That’ll slow Stephen’s roll a bit.

Alan Ducard: Certainly it does, but you have to wonder whether John Thomas appreciated the gesture.

Shooting Gryffin a look, John reaches down and brings Rawlings up to his feet, grabs him by the wrist and this time twists around into a hammerlock. Anselm moves in and hits Stephen with a series of punches to the ribs. When Gryffin backs up, John spins Stephen around, grabs him and hits a hammerlock DDT.

Bryan Harris: Great move there by John Thomas to continue to work over Stephen Rawlings, and it’s a great strategy by these two to work over the freshest person to enter the match.

Alan Ducard: Now it appears to be Gryffin’s turn to take over on the offensive.

As John backs away, Gryffin Anselm moves in over Rawlings and reaches down to lift him up, but Stephen reaches up and grabs Gryffin around the head and rolls him through into a small package. A referee slides into the ring as soon as they see what’s going on, and they make the count.

One…

KICKOUT!!

Jimmy Yates: Gryffin able to kick out, but his frustration level obviously growing… and now he’s telling John Thomas that he wants to take on Rawlings on his own.

Bryan Harris: Of course he does, Anselm is a proud guy. He knows he can take on Stephen Rawlings one on one. The double-teaming they’ve done so far is a smart move, but what Gryffin is doing here, it’s all about pride.

With Gryffin wanting to take on Stephen Rawlings on his own, John Thomas moves over and lifts Crazy Boy up off the mat, but Crazy Boy pushes him back a couple steps and then throws a kick into John Thomas’ gut, doubling him over. John drops to his kness, trying to catch his breath, and Crazy Boy drops back down and sits on the mat, watching John Thomas trying to recover, and watching as Gryffin Anselm lifts Stephen Rawlings up off his feet and tosses him into the corner, his back hitting the top turnbuckle.

Alan Ducard: We’re getting closer to the three-minute mark and the entrance of our fifth competitor, and it should be interesting to see how this next entrance changes the dynamic of this match.

Jimmy Yates: Let’s just hope it’s someone to help out Crazy Boy!

Alan Ducard: Unless it’s someone from The Diabolik or Greg Allocca… I’m guessing it will be!

The LEGACY Vision jumbotron goes black and then lightning shoots across it, and the word “Stellar” appears in blue, and the fans go absolutely crazy. The volume of their reaction gets even more intense when Rocky steps through the curtain.

Bryan Harris: Damn it, not this guy…

Jimmy Yates: OOOOOH yeah!!

Alan Ducard: The fifth entrant into this match brings Rocky Stellar to the ring and now MoFo’s Mob has two members entered into the match… but I have a feeling that having Rocky Stellar and John Thomas in the ring doesn’t benefit either of those two competitors.

After listening to the fans’ excitement for a moment, Rocky Stellar charges towards the ring, running straight across the entrance walkway, with his eyes set on one person. Getting into the ring, Rocky Stellar moves right in overtop of John Thomas and hits him across the face with an open hand.

Bryan Harris: What kind of a messed up partner comes to the ring and slaps the taste out of his partner’s mouth?!

Jimmy Yates: I’d say that’s probably a little repayment for John Thomas walking out on Rocky and Loco a couple weeks ago!

Taking the slap on the cheek, John Thomas drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring underneath the bottom rope. Rocky follows him out of the ring, leaving the other three competitors alone in the ring together. Not content to just let John Thomas be content with running away, Rocky approaches John and yells something at him. Taking his hand off of his own jaw, John turns around and shoves Stellar back a couple steps. Maintaining his footing, Stellar moves right back in, putting his arm on John’s shoulder and then shoving him, John hitting the steel guardrail.

Bryan Harris: And what was that for?!

Alan Ducard: Probably for pushing him!

Back inside the ring, Crazy Boy has made a recovery and he runs into the corner where Gryffin Anselm is choking Stephen Rawlings, leaps up and throws his knee into Gryffin’s back. Hopping up onto the second rope, Crazy Boy grabs Anselm by the head and then leaps backwards, pulling Gryffin with him and putting him down onto his back on the mat.

Jimmy Yates: Nice combination by Crazy Boy, and I’m not sure what it takes to keep a guy like him down on the mat!

Bryan Harris: He better hope it keeps Gryffin down on the mat, because if it doesn’t, Crazy Boy’s gonna get it!

As Crazy Boy gets up off the mat, he pumps his fist into the air as the crowd cheers for what he just did. When he turns around, though, Crazy Boy gets hit with a low dropkick from Stephen Rawlings that connect with his shin and takes his feet out from underneath him. Lifting Crazy Boy up off the mat, Stephen Rawlings whips him into the ropes, and on the return Stephen takes him down to the mat with a headscissors, the grip of which he contnues to hold onto even after Tyrone is on the mat.

Alan Ducard: Stephen Rawlings takes the aerial maneuver and turns it into a submission hold, and he’s one of the only competitors on the roster skillful enough in both technical skills and high flying ability to do so.

Bryan Harris: One heck of a good lock, too. Crazy Boy is trying to pry his head out, but there’s nothing doing.

Having just hopped back up onto the apron, Rocky Stellar gets into the ring by stepping between the ropes, walks over and kicks Stephen in the chest, and he releases the hold. Taking him by the arm, Rocky lifts Stephen up off the mat and sends him into the ropes with an irish whip. Hooking his arms over the top rope, Stephen stops his momentum, but Stellar charges in and clotheslines Rawlings over the top rope.

Jimmy Yates: The Stellar One’s still got it!

Bryan Harris: Why, ‘cause he clotheslined somebody out of the ring? That don’ t mean anything! Heck, it doesn’t even count for an elimination!

Stepping up, Gryffin Anselm gets nose to nose with Rocky Stellar, just about a foot away from one another. The two share a tense moment, and then all hell breaks loose as Rocky and Gryffin begin trading punches back and forth, and the fans go wild as they watch. Anselm gets the advantage with a knee to the gut. Turning around, Gryffin runs into the ropes and gets some momentum, but on the return Stellar grabs him and hits an inverted atomic drop.

Alan Ducard: Stellar turns the tide quickly by stopping Gryffin’s momentum… now he backs up into the ropes, moving quckly now… Stellar-line on Gryffin!

Jimmy Yates: Call Rocky Stellar an “old man” all you want, that famous clothesline of his is still good enough to drop just about anybody!

Reaching down and grabbing an ankle of Gryffin’s in each hand, Stellar sets him into a wishbone position and then lets go of the ankles with Anselm’s feet pointing upwards and Rocky does a quick turn and drops straight down, connecting with an elbow drop to Gryffin’s crotch!

Bryan Harris: Get one of those referees in there right now and disqualify Rocky Stellar for what he just did!

Alan Ducard: The count-down has started again, the sixth competitor is about to join the match.

The LEGACY Vision jumbotron goes dark again, no longer displaying a view of the broadcast footage for the live fans to get a closer look of certain things, it’s now replaced by an italic red “D”. Even before they know who’s coming out, the booing starts.

Jimmy Yates: Who’s it going to be, Jake Dominion or The World’s Champion?

With a custom New York Yankees jersey on, Jake Dominion steps through the curtain, coming out onto the stage. Unbuttoning it, Jake Dominion reveals the Diabolik signature shirt. Giovanni walks through the curtain and steps up beside Jake, who removes the jersey and hands it to his suited stablemate standing a couple feet away.

Bryan Harris: Now The Diabolik become the first team to have two guys in the match at the same time who can really get along, and you’re going to get to see some real strategy come into play.

Alan Ducard: I’m not a fan of what The Diabolik are all about, but I do agree that they’re probably all going to work together well while they’re all legally in the match with one another.

After taking off his signature Diabolik shirt and also handing it to Giovanni, Jake Dominion runs across the entrance stage, hops over the top rope, and immediately goes after Rocky Stellar. The two start to trade punches, and Jake gets the advantage with a roundhouse kick to the gut. After he kicks Stellar in the leg, Dominion swings with a kick aimed for Rocky’s head, but Stellar ducks and avoids the impact. Jake’s momentum spins him around so far that he’s no longer facing Rocky, and that’s all the advantage Rocky needs. He grabs Jake from behind, lifts him up off his feet and hits an atomic drop. Not letting go, Stellar then lifts Jake Dominion up off the mat and falls backwards, hitting a back drop suplex.

Jimmy Yates: Way to go, Rocky!!

Bryan Harris: Come on, Jimbo, don’t cheer from the announce table. At least pretend to be impartial.

Taking Jake by the wrist, Rocky Stellar lifts Dominion up off the mat and goes for an irish whip. Shuffling his feet, Dominion reverses the attempt and sends Stellar towards the ropes. Hopping up onto the apron, Stephen Rawlings pulls down the top rope, hoping to get Stellar to fall to the outside. As he starts to fall, Rocky grabs the middle rope and keeps himself from spilling out. Rawlings reaches up and grabs Stellar, hoping to pull him to the outside. Before he can be effective, Stephen is hit from behind by a double axhandle to the lower back.

Alan Ducard: John Thomas with a surprising save to keep Rocky Stellar from falling to the outside, and I don’t think many of the fans saw that one coming!

Jimmy Yates: From the looks on their faces, I don’t think Stephen Rawlings, Rocky Stellar, or even John Thomas saw that one coming, either!

Moving back in, Gryffin Anselm tries to grab Stellar from behind, but Crazy Boy moves in and hits Gryffin with an axhandle to the side of the head. As Jake Dominion tries to help Anselm out, Rocky Stellar comes off the ropes and spins Jake around, rocking him with a hard right hand. Outside the ring, Stephen Rawlings gets down off the apron and asks John Thomas what he was doing, and John drills him with a hard right hand. Unsure of what to do next, John walks over and gets set to grab Rawlings to lift him up, but Stephen grabs him by the waistband of his shorts and shoves off backwards, sending John into the bottom of the corner ringpost.

Alan Ducard: So much action going on in the ring – and outside of it – it’s hard to know what to focus on.

Bryan Harris: How about focusing on the atrocity that’s going on with Crazy Boy and Rocky Stellar double-team Gryffin!

Jimmy Yates: Why, you don’t like the fact that The Diabolik isn’t in control, even though they’ve got two-and-a-half members in the ring right now?!

As Stellar and Crazy Boy take turns kicking and hitting Gryffin Anselm, Jake Dominion moves in and hits a chop block on Stellar, taking him down to a knee. Not even getting up to his feet, Jake gets to his knees and swings around with a backfist that connects to Crazy Boy’s gut, doubling him over.

Bryan Harris: THAT’s The Diabolik that I know!!

Rejoining the ring, Stephen Rawlings grabs one of Rocky’s legs, lifts it up off the mat and begins kicking him in the hamstring. Taking him by the head, Rawlings lifts Stellar up off the mat, then reaches down, grabs a leg and takes Rocky down with a dragon screw legwhip.

Jimmy Yates: Rawlings back into the match in a big way, and now he’s targeting Rocky Stellar.

Alan Ducard: Stephen heads out onto the apron, going for the top rope…

When Rocky Stellar returns to his feet, he turns around to look at Stephen Rawlings, but before he can move towards the corner to catch Rawlings off-guard, Stellar gets struck in the back with a roundhouse kick from Jake Dominion that stuns him but doesn’t send him to the mat. Leaping off the top turnbuckle, Stephen lands on Rocky’s shoulders, latches on with his legs, then pulls himself backwards into a hurricanrana, reaching back and hooking Stellar’s legs after the move is completed.

Bryan Harris: That’s “The Other Finishing Move”, and a referee is right there to slide into the ring to make the count…

One…

Two…

Three!

Bryan Harris: And we have our first elimination!!

The booing begins even before Josephina Colbert gets the chance to announce what just happened.

Josephina Colbert: As a result of a pinfall by Stephen Rawlings, Rocky Stellar has been eliminated.

Alan Ducard: Now we’re back down to five competitors in the ring, and from the look on his face as he hears what just happened, John Thomas looks to be a bit conflicted on how to react to this.

Jimmy Yates: I’m sure JT realizes that the chances of Loco Martinez winning the belt back just got a little worse, and if John and Rocky had actually found a way to work together, this elimination might not have happened.

Bryan Harris: Look, Rocky Stellar got eliminated just now because he is who he is. The way Rocky Stellar treats people has always put a big target on his back, and Stellar was nothing but a liability going into this match, and John Thomas’ claims that Loco should’ve picked someone other than his former tag team partner just got a ton of credibility.

Having just scored a pinfall, Rawlings raises his own arms and tries to get up off the mat, but Jake Dominion and Gryffin Anselm move in and start stomping down on him, causing him to collapse back down onto the mat.

Alan Ducard: Any kind of collaboration between Stephen Rawlings and The Diabolik appears to be over and done with.

Bryan Harris: They used him to help eliminate Rocky Stellar, and now they don’t need him anymore, so why not take him out?

Jimmy Yates: There’s one guy who can probably think of a few reasons to try to help keep Stephen Rawlings in the match!

Coming up from behind, Crazy Boy hits Jake Dominion on the back of the head, then grabs one of Jake’s arms and the nearest leg, picks him up and tosses him backwards with a modified side-suplex, then turns over and starts sending forearm shots into any body part on the Diabolik member that he can target.

Alan Ducard: Crazy Boy going to town on Jake Dominion, and I don’t know if he has noticed or not, but Gryffin Anselm isn’t doing anything about it, instead hitting some mounted punches on Stephen Rawlings.

Bryan Harris: He probably has enough faith in Jake Dominion to take care of himself, he is a World Class competitor, ya know! That’s why he’s a part of The Diabolik in the first place!

Crazy Boy backs up a couple steps and Jake Dominion tries to work his way up off the mat, but Crazy Boy steps in and grabs the upper portion of Jake’s shoulder and clamps down with the hardest grip he can, and the fans begin cheering again.

Jimmy Yates: It’s the Crazy Nerve Hold!!

Bryan Harris: You’ve gotta be kidding me with that thing…

Alan Ducard: He may not be the type of competitor who you normally think of to utilize a nerve hold, but Crazy Boy’s got it locked in, and from the look on Jake Dominion’s face, it’s working.

Jimmy Yates: Here’s the countdown again, and Jake Dominion had better hope that Crash is the next person to enter this match.

The LEGACY Vision jumbotron stops showing match broadcast footage and goes dark, and a giant green “M” appears on the screen, and the cheering the fans have been giving Crazy Boy the past few moments grows in intensity as Justin Moreno charges out of the back.
