We open to a lump of unmolded clay. A pair of hands reach out and start to work on the clay as we get a fast guitar from Social Distortion's cover of the Johnny Cash classic, "Ring of Fire". "Love is a burning thing A shot of Cronos cradling his No Limits Title after winning it from Issac Entragian. "bound by wild desire Adam Davis jumping the barricade and jumping Derek Shane. Becomes Rawlings hitting a northern lights suplex, while referee John Iley counts, with an glint of annoyance in his eyes. "I fell in to a burning ring of fire X-Calibur and Justin Moreno falling through the air crashing through a table. Flash to Moreno hoisting the Tao of Valor, joy in his eyes. "and the flames went higher. The hands have molded a lower torso. flash to Stellar and John Thomas eye to eye, fire in their eyes. "the ring of fire... We see an empty Legacy Ring... all of the ring ropes burning. Flash to El Chupacabra raising their newly won tag titles... flaunting them in the direction of Domination. "The taste of love is sweet Greyson atop a ladder reaching up and winning the opportunity. Becomes Greyson and Issac brawling in a casino. "I fell for you like a child X-Calibur in the ring with Crash... out runs Greg Alloca. A quick shot of Allocca and X brawling. Becomes a shot of Crash hoisting the bag of tokens after their match at strife. "I fell in to a burning ring of fire A clay version of Davis and Shane put into the hearth to cure. "and the flames went higher. Clay Rawlings, Devastation, and Iley put into the oven. followed with Clay Domination and El Cupacabra. "the ring of fire.... the ring of fire" Clay Stellar and Thomas followed by clay Eli Storm and Justin Moreno. followed by clay Greyson Blade, Issac Entragian, and Cronos Diamante. "I fell in to a burning ring of fire A flurry of action: Loco nails a Locapitator. Eli Storm nails the ratings boost. Devastation hits the Decapitator. Crash nails the Aero Zeppelin Driver. "and the flames went higher. Clay X-Calibur and Greg Allocca put into the hearth, and finally we see the hands continuing to work on their sculpture, we pull back seeing Loco Martinez sitting in the "Thinking Man position" as the artist finishes sculpting Loco looks up with a wink... she puts the sculpture of Loco Martinez next to the one of Crash, and they're put into the Hearth. The show opens on a shot of Alan Ducard, Bryan Harris and Jimmy Yates sitting behind an announce table off to one side of the entrance stage. Behind them is an elaborate stage which includes the LEGACY Vision jumbotron, surrounded by various sections of tubing from which natural gas shoots up and is lit ablaze, a couple flames shooting up from random locations every ten seconds. Alan Ducard: Good evening everyone and welcome to FORGED BY FIRE, the seventh LEGACY pay per view event, and if you consider the past events LEGACY has produced, as well as the matches on this evening's card, it looks like we're probably going to be in for an exciting evening. Jimmy Yates: The fans in attendance and watching at home are all interested in FORGED BY FIRE for various reasons. There are four championship matches set to take place, as well as four other grudge matches, but there are three things which are involved tonight which have intrigued the LEGACY fans. Bryan Harris: Because of what happened back at the pre-show on Friday night, one of the intriguing questions for tonight surrounds who the challenger is going to be for the Tao of Valor Championship. Alan Ducard: In a match the likes of which we've never seen in LEGACY, X-Calibur and Greg Allocca will do battle in a Ring of Fire Match. A lot of people are curious to see just how violent that match will get... and if someone's going to get extremely burned. Jimmy Yates: The final really intriguing question of the evening is whether or not Jake Dominion is going to be able to put his personal differences with Crash aside and call the main event fairly as its special guest referee. Bryan Harris: That's a question I can answer: There's no way Jake Dominion is the right man for this job, because there's no way he's going to forgive Crash for turning his back on him, and that means there's no way Crash is going to be winning the belt tonight. Alan Ducard: We'll find out by the end of the evening about that, but there will be plenty else to watch for before the main event even takes place, including two championship matches which have the potential to be very brutal, including the No Limits Championship three-way match and the World Tag Title Match. Bryan Harris: Look, we could go through the entire card this way, but there's a bunch of matches, so how about we just get down to it? John Thomas vs Rocky

The craned camera swings out over the crowd and comes down on a shot of Josephina Colbert standing in the ring. Josephina Colbert: Our opening match of the night is set for one fall!! Introducing first … "That's Why I Say Hey Man Nice Shot!" The remixed version of Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot" starts playing, the rolling bassline coming to a jazzy crescendo. One by one, members of Las Vegas’ Finest begin stepping out from the curtain, five officers of the law coming out onto the stage. When the fans see the policemen, the volume level of their booing increases significantly. Bryan Harris: Those men are paid to protect and serve in one of the most thankless jobs out there, and this is how they’re greeted? These LEGACY fans should be ashamed of themselves. Jimmy Yates: These people don’t have any problems with the police officers themselves, this reaction is because there’s no need for John Thomas to get a security escort! Alan Ducard: We saw this back in San Antonio at Elevated Tensions when John Thomas had a police escort to the ring, and I can’t say I’m surprised that we’re seeing it again. Bryan Harris: Nor am I, Al, because these are almost the exact same circumstances that we saw back at Elevated Tensions, where John Thomas is going to be stepping into the ring with a desperate veteran who is liable to do anything he can to come out of this match with a victory. If something happens inside the ring, John Thomas can take care of that. But the one thing we don’t want is for John to get attacked on the way to the ring. Not that I expect either of you two to understand, or even these fans, but this is a smart move. The booing intensity increases even more as John Thomas steps through the curtain, wearing a matching outfit of a blue hooded robe with white lining and blue and white long tights. The design pattern on both the tights and the robe is the same: the blue looks textured like rock, and in various places there appear to be cracks in the rock, but it’s still all in one piece. On the back of the robe are giant white “JT” letters, which also appear on either side of his white wrestling boots, though on the boots they appear in blue. Keeping his hood down, he basically refuses to acknowledge the fans in attendance as he stands at the edge of the elevated walkway, the fans below him booing him mercilessly. Josephina Colbert: Weighing in at 219 pounds and hailing from Poolesville, Maryland in the suburbs of our Nation’s Capital Washington, D.C… he is “The Durable One”… JOHN!! THOMAS!!! After he is joined by three more police officers, allowing the group to encircle him, the group of nine make their way across the elevated walkway. The entire way to the ring, John keeps his sights focused on the squared circle ahead of him, put at ease by the fact that he doesn’t have to look over his shoulder for his opponent. Once they reach ringside, the officers in front of John part ways, walking down the apron in opposite directions towards the nearby corners of the ring, and John Thomas almost effortlessly hops over the top rope after he wipes his boots on the apron a couple times. Only now does he pull back his hood as he takes off his robe to give to the time keeper. Glancing to his side, John locks eyes for a moment with Josephina Colbert, and then John’s gaze turns towards the corner, not even looking to the curtain for the arrival of his opponent. Jimmy Yates: Listen to this place, they’re just waiting to explode! Bryan Harris: Which is why I can’t wait until this match is over to see the dejected looks on their faces as John Thomas makes Rocky Stellar TAP OUT!! Josephina Colbert: And his opponent... A single guitar rift is played and drags on for at least 30 seconds, causing the crowd to start to get excited. Then, four chords played over and over... and the excitement level grows exponentially as the voice of Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters starts to blare through the arena... "Can you hear me... Josephina Colbert: Weighing in at 282 pounds and hailing from CHICAGO, ILLINOIS... The rest of the crowd jumps out of their chairs as "In Your Honor" by the Foo Fighters begins to blast on. A word appears on the jumbo-tron and the crowd explodes... "STELLAR" Josephina Colbert: Rrrrrocky... Stellar!!!!!!! Seconds later, Rocky Stellar appears through the curtain at the top of the ramp, dressed in long tights which are green with gray accents, with STELLAR ONE written down each of the legs, written in a neon green. He’s wearing an old school Stellar Insanity tshirt and a confident smile on his face as he steps to the start of the elevated walkway, looking out over the screaming fans, most of whom adore him. Jimmy Yates: I’d be really surprised if the Garden Arena here at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino gets any louder than this! It sounds like almost everyone is behind The Stellar One tonight as he’s set to take on John Thomas in the match that should have happened back at “Destined for Greatness”! Bryan Harris: What the hell does Stellar have around his neck? Is that a towel? Alan Ducard: It looks more like a rolled-up shirt to me, but I have been known to be mistaken before. Still moving with a spring in his step, Rocky Stellar doesn’t waste too much time in walking across the walkway to get to the ring. The platform is too high to interact much with the fans, so Rocky just keeps his attention focused on John Thomas, who still isn’t looking in his direction. Bryan Harris: Smart move by John Thomas to just totally ignore all these pre-match antics from Rocky Stellar. Block out the noise, John, no need to pay attention to these fans or to Stellar. Just wait for that bell to ring and then go to work. Alan Ducard: Stellar gets to the apron, now, stepping into the ring after pulling down that middle rope… and now it looks like he wants to say something to John Thomas. Stellar shouts something across the ring, getting John’s attention. When Thomas turns around to face his opponent for the first time, Rocky takes the object from around his neck and tosses it over to John Thomas. Unraveling the object, we see that it’s a tshirt, and the cameraman on the same side of the ring as John Thomas gets up onto the apron and we get a look at what the shirt says: "I Went To Vegas Jimmy Yates: That’s CLASSIC!! The reaction ripples throughout the live crowd, laughing as they notice it on the LEGACY Vision jumbotron. Balling up the shirt, John tosses it over his shoulder, sending it into the third row. Not wanting to be outdone by John, Stellar takes off his shirt, balls it up and tosses it over his shoulder into the fourth row. Having already checked John Thomas for foreign objects, the referee approaches Stellar, who lets the referee check him. As the music starts to die down, the crowd begins to chant. "STEL-LAR...STEL-LAR...STEL-LAR" John Thomas looks entrenched with hate for Rocky Stellar and yells something at him. Stellar yells something back at him. Both move forward like a couple of bulls set to lockhorns and tie-up. Stellar leans backwards, than throws forward and sends John Thomas across the ring, rolling backwards into a roll, landing in the corner of the ring. The STEL-LAR... STEL-LAR" chant continues, further irritating the much younger adversary. Bryan Harris: Rocky Stellar will do anything for a cheap victory and a cheap pop. I could grab you by the hair as well and throw you across the ring. Alan Ducard: I don't know what match your watching, Harris, but Rocky Stellar did nothing of the sort. Jimmy Yates: Yeah, Harris. Rocky Stellar has a 66 pound weight advantage on his opponent. Thats a HUGE difference. Bryan Harris: Shutup, Yates! I saw what I saw! As the boys at the announce table continue to argue, Stellar and John Thomas lock-up again. Stellar shoves JT away. JT smiles. He see's that Stellar didn't throw him again. He thinks he's getting the better of the old-timer. JT signals he wants to lock-up again, Stellar plays to the crowd a little. Crowd: "STEL-LAR... STEL-LAR!" Jimmy Yates: This crowd is loving it. Stellar keeps showing John Thomas up! Bryan Harris: John isn't backing down though... JT and Stellar both step in to lock-up. As they're about to lock arms, John goes south on his opponent and nails a quick dropkick to the shin. Bryan Harris: A dropkick to the shin on the dinosaur?! That’s great! As quick as John Thomas nails the dropkick to the shin, he connects with an enzuigiri to the back of the Stellar One's head. As quick as JT used his assault with his feet, he grabs Stellar by the arm and twists. He yanks down a few times, than hops over the top rope. John wraps Rocky's arm around the turnbuckle and has Stellar's back to the turnbuckles. John steps around the ringpost and wrenches back, causing intense and illegal pain to Rocky Stellar. Alan Ducard: The referee has got to step in and stop this. Bryan Harris: Its a ring post Kimura lock. JT is just trying to get a submission, give the guy a break. He's inventive. Jimmy Yates: Yes. Using illegal tactics though. The referee steps in, making his count to the break the hold. JT continues to keep the hold in place for the full count. He would've, except Rocky Stellar nails him with a back elbow to the jaw. Knocking JT back, getting his roar from the crowd. Alan Ducard: Here comes Stellar! JT slides in the ring, but he's taken down with a hard right. JT is right back up. Rocky Stellar Irish whips John Thomas into the ropes. He ducks down and lifts his shoulder back up, sending John Thomas high overhead with a back body drop. The crowd pops! Jimmy Yates: Man alive, Stellar is feeling it. Bryan Harris: Yeah, its almost like thirty years ago when Rocky Stellar first got going in the ol' territories, huh? Alan Ducard: Right. Funny. Stellar grabs John Thomas around the waist and snaps off a gutwrench suplex. JT however lands on his feet. He gouges the eyes of the Stellar One quickly, than turns it a standing armbar. JT connects with an elbow smash to the arm, than locks in a hammerlock. Before Stellar can even try anything, JT spins this into a very crisp DDT, planting Stellar on his head! 1.. 2... KICKOUT! Not wanting to waste time, JT is right back up. He pulls his opponent up and grabs a standing armbar again. JT attempts to dropkick Stellar in the shoulder, but Stellar pulls away and JT lands on his side. JT tries to roll up to his feet, but Rocky Stellar drops an elbow square into the center of John Thomas' back. Alan Ducard: Look at Rocky smile. He's got JT right where he wants him. JT climbs back up and tries to punch Stellar in the mouth. Rocky blocks it and nails a right fist, dropping his younger opponent. JT is right back up though and Stellar Irish whips JT with his bad arm into the rope. It looks like Stellar has hurt his arm though. As JT comes off, Stellar miraculously nails JT with a good arm, nailing a back elbow to the jaw. JT is back up though! Jimmy Yates: I'll give this to him. He's relentless! Bryan Harris: That he is. Stellar won't last! Stellar from behind nails a one-armed atomic drop. He shoves JT into the turnbuckle chest first. Stellar with an atomic drop, crotching JT up on the top rope (not the turnbuckle). Alan Ducard: Well, JT isn't going to be busy too much tonight, now is he? Jimmy Yates: Look at Stellar though. Rocky Stellar gets a huge smile on his face, as he thinks out his next step. He grabs the ropes that JT is on and shakes as violently as he can. The crowd erupts. Crowd: "STEL-LAR! STEL-LAR!" As JT tries to free himself, he gets a leg caught in the ropes. Stellar pulls him back into the tree of woe. Stellar backs up and drops a huge elbow right into the crotch of John Thomas. The crowd is going insane. Alan Ducard: All plans are canceled tonight for John Thomas. Bryan Harris: Someone get ice! Pronto! Rocky Stellar is amused. He believes he has everything in hand now. He allows the referee to help free John Thomas. JT lands on his shoulders though as he hits the mat awkwardly, a bit irritated with the referee's help in freeing him. Stellar just laughs. JT rises to his feet, after making sure his gonads didn't swell to elephantitis size through his trunks and really embarrass him. He steps forward and throws a right hand at Rocky Stellar. Stellar blocks it, than nails one of his own. This knocks JT back into the corner. Stellar climbs to the middle rope and begins unloading on his opponent. The crowd counts out loud. 1.. 2.. 3.. 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10... Stellar climbs down from his position and drags JT's head across the top rope. Jimmy Yates: I'm sure somewhere in this arena, Rob Belote is somehow enjoying this match, seeing as his offspring is finally getting the shit knocked outta him like he so deserves. Bryan Harris: How can you say that Yates? I’d say he’s probably routing for John to actually win this match. As Rocky winds up, going for another right hand, John Thomas fights back. He ducks the right hand attempt, than turns things into a standing armbar on Stellar's bad arm. He executes a dropkick to the shoulder. JT pulls his opponent back up and whips the Stellar One into the ropes. JT nails a Japanese armdrag takedown. He pulls Stellar up again, than executes a judo style arm throw, doing his best to damage that arm as best he can. Alan Ducard: I think its fair to say now that John Thomas is in control and setting up for one move. Bryan Harris: The move he made famous. The cross-face chicken wing. Jimmy Yates: What? Are you for real? JT torques in on Stellar's arm with a standing armlock of sorts. Stellar works his way to the ropes kinda quickly though. Alan Ducard: Crafty veteran, making it to the ropes. Bryan Harris: He's been wrestling since Lou Thesz. He should know all the tricks. John Thomas tries to pull Rocky Stellar from the ropes. Stellar holds on though, pulling himself up. JT is pulling as hard as he can. Stellar finally lets go and steps into and nails JT with a Samoan Drop. 1.. 2.. JT is in the ropes. Stellar tries to pull JT back up. JT slows Rocky down with a punch to the gut. JT pulls himself together as quick as possible and scoops up and nails a shoulderbreaker on the Stellar One! Jimmy Yates: Oh wow. This doesn't look good, does it? Bryan Harris: As quick as you guys were to write John Thomas off, he's in control now. Alan Ducard: Can't argue that. JT is in control. JT has Rocky Stellar up on his feet now by the arm. The crowd looks on as JT is perched atop the top rope and takes a few steps out. The crowd boo's. Bryan Harris: NEW SCHOOL! Oh man, he's gonna end this now. Oh man, just look. JT springs up to the top rope, facing the crowd. He jumps off, executing a swandive backflip and misses the Above Average Moonsault. Stellar rolled out of the way. Alan Ducard: That took alot of momentum out of the sails of John Thomas. Jimmy Yates: Yeah it did. Bryan Harris: Just shut up now. Watch the match. Both men are back up. Stellar throws a punch, but JT blocks it. He steps in and locks in his Crossface Chicken Wing. Bryan Harris: The crossface is in and this is all she wrote. The old man can't hang after all, just like I’ve been saying!! Jimmy Yates: JT isn't able to take the Stellar One down though. I don't think its over. As Yates says this, Rocky Stellar goes into desperation mode and drives John Thomas backwards into the turnbuckle. Bryan Harris: NO! Stellar breaks free of JT's grasp. He twists around and grabs John around the head, arching him backwards... Alan Ducard: STELLAR DROP! The crowd roars in rabid approval of the reverse DDT. Stellar makes the cover… 1... 2... 3!!! Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner by pinfall... Rocky.... Stellar!!!!!!! Alan Ducard: He did it! Stellar won! Bryan Harris: Bullshit. John's foot was under the ropes! Alan Ducard: Get off it, Harris. Why must you not give the man his due. As Stellar gets to his feet and has his hand raised, John Thomas slowly rolls out of the ring underneath the bottom rope. Looking up into the ring, John Thomas is obviously dejected about the outcome of the match, and as he locks eyes with the referee, John mouths something about his foot being under the rope, then reaches up and taps the mat just outside of the ropes, pointing to the spot where he felt his foot had been. The referee shrugs and mouths "I didn't see it", and John shakes his head and makes his way back over to the entrance ramp, climbing up onto it and heading back to the locker room as Rocky Stellar climbs the turnbuckle to celebrate some more. Jimmy Yates: You know... I think it's possible that maybe JT's foot was under the ropes... Alan Ducard: I'll be interested to see the video replay when I get the opportunity... Bryan Harris: And so will John Thomas! Alan Ducard: Either way, the referee's decision is final, and I'm not so sure John Thomas would've been in any condition to continue wrestling even if the referee would've stopped the count at 2. Jimmy Yates: In case you missed it, this past Friday night, LEGACY held a show from the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV just off the Las Vegas Strip featuring some of the competitors on LEGACY’s roster who aren’t on the card for tonight’s pay per view event. Alan Ducard: Broadcast through a webcast on LEGACY’s homepage, the event was an exciting one which saw some great action, including a four-corners tag team match to determine who would be the Number One Contenders to the World Tag Team Champions following FORGED BY FIRE, as well as a Lumberjack Match between rivals Crazy Boy and Marcus Mirage. Bryan Harris: For the first time ever we got to see Icone Internationale Jean-Girard Baptiste inside of a LEGACY ring live at an event. Jimmy Yates: What a fiasco that was… Alan Ducard: The highlight of a lot of people’s night, however, was when Greyson Blade showed up to get a little revenge on Eli Storm. Let’s take you to the footage. Start of Recap Footage, Edited for Time Constraints Greyson stands at the top of the rampway dressed in a more comfortable and traditional Outlaw garb, jeans and new Greyson Blade t-shirta black t-shirt with red letters reading “DEMAND RESPECT” on it, and the D’s of DEMAND are stylized to look like the “western skull” that has been his insignia for some time. He clutches a travel bag and a small red container in his right hand. The Outlaw: Eli Storm has been a pain in my ass - an annoying little tangent that I never had the chance to deal with because the boys in the back refused to give me a rematch with him. Well, tonight I’m going to remove all doubt about my focus on becoming No Limits Champion. Tonight I’m going to take care of business like I should have before I was booked against Storm and he gained his “farce” of a title shot. The Outlaw drops the bag and container at his side before ripping open the travel bag and shaking it out on the ramp way. Multiple articles of clothing spill out, and they are fine, fine clothes to be sure. Who owned those clothes was certainly sparing no expense. The Outlaw: Eli Storm wanted to steal my sh*t to make a quick buck? Well, I’ve got his designer threads right here, and since I don’t want the money and I’m not about to wear this little man’s clothes… I’ll be more than satisfied to watch’em burn. With that the Outlaw takes the red container and begins to slosh liquid over the clothes as the smell of gasoline fills the air, and a moment later Storm’s threads begin to go up in flames as the fans cheer, and The Outlaw then turns towards the entrance way, realizing that there would be a coming response. Running out from the gorilla position is not just Eli Storm, but Matt Kanyon as well, with Storm arriving first. Alan Ducard: Storm isn’t happy with what Blade just did in beginning this eye-for-an-eye transaction, and both he and Kanyon are out now, and The Outlaw floors Storm with a massive clothesline! Here comes Kanyon now! Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw has that gas can up now and he jacks Kanyon right in the face with that metal gas can container! Kanyon is stunned and Blade knees him in the gut, and … he’s … tossing Kanyon off the rampway! Bryan Harris: He thinks he evened the odds, but Eli Storm is back up to his feet and he’s coming for Blade! Storm charges for the Outlaw, but Blade kicks him hard in the gut, and then sends him headlong into to the LEGACY stage fixtures around the big screen. Storm staggers backwards, stunned, and into Blade’s clutches who scoops him up into the gorilla press, and then quickly drops back for … Alan Ducard: A huge Outlaw Drop here on the stage, and Blade is fired up! Jimmy Yates: Listen to the crowd Alan, they know what’s coming! The Outlaw pulls Storm to his feet, and then as he backs up, Greyson watches as Eli stands weak-kneed, and putting up no defense as The Outlaw has backed up enough, he charges in… Jimmy Yates: KILLSHOT!! In black and white, the footage is replayed a couple times to show Blade hitting Eli Storm with the KILLSHOT spear. Alan Ducard: Storm was totally exposed for that shot and he’s driven right down, and it looks like his head might’ve bounced on the stage. The Outlaw did indeed hit Storm flush, and he rips up to his feet and looks down off the stage seeing Kanyon still down, and he turns back to Storm who is in agony on the stage, and grabbing him by the neck, he pulls him up once more as the fans look on cheering as some are really getting behind Blade’s proactive actions. Bryan Harris: Hasn’t Storm had enough? Hasn’t enough damage been done? Jimmy Yates: Storm screwed him out of a victory, mocked his friendship with Patrick Kidd, and got a title shot out of it? He’s going to go until he sees fit to stop. The Outlaw pulls Storm up once more as he almost falls off his feet, doubling over clutching his one side, but fully exposing the other as Blade charges and hits a Killshot that simply annihilates the target. Storm is down and The Outlaw goes over to the microphone he dropped, and stands over a fallen Eli. The Outlaw: Now, I took back the equivalent of you stealing my sh*t, and I just gave you the ass-kickin’ you managed to avoid twice already, and if that wet-snap I heard when I just dropped you is any indication …then I just took back that sham of a victory! As far as I’m concerned Storm, you just went from being a pain in my ass to being my bitch! In fact, at this point I’m willing to call it even. You disrespected me. You stole from me. So let this serve as an example of how I plan on dealing with any son of a bitch stupid enough to try and pull anything like what you pulled. Blade looks up at the cameraman who is standing near the top of the ramp. The Outlaw: As for the No Limits Title match at Forged by Fire? I’m primed. I’m ready. I’m focused. Case Closed. With that, Greyson Blade tosses the microphone down at Eli Storm, who lays on the stage a few feet from where his clothing is now a pile of ashes. The crowd is going wild with cheers as the refrain from Metallica’s “Outlaw Torn” kicks back in over the speakers. Adam Davis vs Derek

Alan Ducard: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is between some relatively new faces to LEGACY, and the feud between these two men has been building almost from the moment they both debuted with the company. Jimmy Yates: Let’s be frank on this one Alan. Derek Shane is a B-lister with the arrogance of an A-lister, and whatever beating Adam Davis gives him tonight is entirely deserved, and I can’t wait to see Adam Davis put Derek Shane in his place. Bryan Harris: Wait a minute there Jimbo! You really think Adam Davis is going to drop the hammer on Derek Shane? You guys are forgetting that Derek Shane is an impressive 5-0 since his latest arrival in LEGACY, while Adam Davis has LOST his only match with the company thus far. Alan Ducard: Now Bryan, don't tell me you’re buying into the complete bullocks that Shane has been selling! You know I tend to remain rather impartial in most situations, but Derek Shane is nothing but a bag of hot air. He’s been officially booked for two matches since he returned and lost the first by reverse decision DQ, and weaseled his way out of the tag match from the last episode of Strife. Jimmy Yates: Win/loss records aside these two men have showed a great distaste for each other the past few weeks, and tonight they are finally getting the opportunity to lock horns here at Forged by Fire. Bryan Harris: Distaste? Distaste? It’s more like the vodka, this hatred is absolut(e). Alan Ducard: Alright, enough with the puns, let's head down to the ring to Josephina for the introductions. Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Detroit, Michigan, here is “Iceman” Adam Davis! As the crowd’s focus turns towards the stage area, “This is the New Shit” by Marilyn Manson hits the PA system, and Adam Davis appears before the MGM crowd. Metallic blue pyros explode around the stage, highlighting the figure dressed in a black boxing robe with blue metallic trim. Davis continues towards the ring, and when he’s halfway there, he stops and as another shower of pyro goes off, he drops the robe back to reveal himself in full ring gear, complete with a black wife-beater style shirt. The crowd cheers his full appearance, and he slips into the ring through the ropes, and heads to his corner, awaiting Shane’s arrival. The lights dim and the elevated entrance ramp turns black and a small star appears on the elevated ramp with a picture of it appearing on the LEGACY-vision tron. The star has the name “James Dean” written in the middle of it. The elevated ramp lights up with multiple stars as the names quickly flash across the larger screen, some names seen include Marilyn Monroe, Bella Lugosi, Roy Rogers, Dean Martin, Steve McQueen, and Kermit T. Frog. The ramp finishes lighting, and the ring mat lights up with a giant star of its own, complete with the name Derek Shane in the center of it. Josephina Colbert: And his opponent, from Hollywood via Phoenix Arizona, this is Derek Shane. "Beverly Hills" by Weezer hits the PA system, and Derek Shane steps through the curtain and starts making his way down his own "walk of fame". Shadow is three and a half steps behind him as the crowd boos loudly, in great contrast to the reaction for Adam Davis. Shane enters the ring as Josephina exits on the other side. The lights come back on as the ref checks Shane for hidden objects knowing his reputation, and due to Shane’s protests, once satisfied he walks to the other side of the ring to check Davis as well. With the ref's back turned Shane charges in, but Davis thinks fast and Shane runs chest first into the turnbuckles. while Shadow looks on from the outside. Shane staggers back having hit hard, and right into Adam’s grasp. A waistlock and a moment later, Shane goes up and over with the release German suplex. Alan Ducard: Shane tries to go for the Pearl Harbor strategy and sneak attack while Davis was distracted, but Davis was ready for him. Jimmy Yates: Davis has been around the block a few times, he knows a lot of the tricks Shane has up his sleeve. Bryan Harris: Being the showman that he is, I’m sure Shane more to wow this audience. Shane was just running over to tell ref Travis Rollins that he thought he saw something in Davis's boot, and the iceman attacked him, the ref needs to check that boot. Shane isn't the only one with things in his sleeve, or boot so to speak. Davis pulls Shane up and sends him off with the Irish whip, and on the return he catches Shane and takes him over with a big hip toss. Shane bounces up angrily and goes back for Davis, and Adam takes him over with a second of the same maneuver, but this time Shane is slower in his recovery and Davis drops a quick elbow down across his neck, and immediately hooks the leg. Alan Ducard: Davis with the quick cover here! ONE T-kickout! Jimmy Yates: I’ll give him credit for trying to catch Shane off guard and end this one quickly in the early going. Bryan Harris: Don't underestimate Derek Shane. Just when you think you got him beat, he shows you why you don't stand a chance - just why you aren’t in his league. The Iceman pulls Shane up again and hooks the arm, looking for some sort of vertical suplex, and knowing Davis it would be a snap suplex, but Shane blocks it and rakes the eyes. As Davis turns away from the move, Shane drops behind him and transitions into a school boy roll up making sure to hook the tights! Alan Ducard: There’s a school boy roll-up and Shane has the tights hooked! Jimmy Yates: He’s going to steal this match! ONE TWO THR-NO! Bryan Harris: Oh come on ref! Alan Ducard: The referee stopped the count and kicked Shane's hands off of Davis's tights. Shane is now up in the official’s face, but the referee it seems is laying down the law! Jimmy Yates: While, we can’t hear exactly what’s going on, I think from what I can make out that Shane will be disqualified if he tries a tights hook again! An annoyed Shane turns back around to Davis, who has recovered, and clotheslines him down with a driving clothesline. Davis quickly pulls Derek to his feet and chops him hard to the chest, knocking him back to the ropes. Immediately Davis leaps up and showing off his great athleticism and wrapping his legs around Shane’s shoulders, he flips him over with a hurricanrana to a nice “pop” from the crowd. Alan Ducard: Adam Davis has shown his abilities in multiple federations including OPW, and now he’s looking to showcase those abilities here on a larger scale here in LEGACY, and I have to say he’ll do a tremendous job if he keeps pulling off moves like that! Jimmy Yates: Adam Davis might be the best pure athlete out there today Alan, and it shows with the mix of speed and power in his offensive arsenal. Bryan Harris: Yes, but he doesn’t have the intelligence of Derek Shane, and that will be his downfall in the match. Adam attempt the Irish whip to send Shane into the turnbuckles, but Derek reverses the maneuver and instead sends The Iceman to the buckles. Shane charges in and meets Davis with a clothesline in the corner before leaping up to spring off the middle rope and delivering a sharp kick to Adam’s forehead. Then, as Davis recoils from the move, Derek grabs him about the head and bulldogs him out of the corner. Alan Ducard: Shane seems to have turned the tide here with that Irish whip reversal and subsequent offense, but he’s going to have to keep Davis grounded and keep him from using some of the high impact moves that are his trademark. Jimmy Yates: You mean like “The Cold Shoulder” and Clarity? It’s almost like that particular combination could finish anyone off. He just hits them perfectly. Bryan Harris: While I’d argue that Shane could handle them, I do have to admit that sometimes it’s not the move but the person hitting it that makes it effective. Sometimes a well-placed simple attack is infinitely more effective than a poorly-executed bigger move. Davis tries to pull himself off the canvas, but Shane is there with a kick to the sternum to drive him back down to the canvas, and then Derek takes a couple steps back to hit the ropes, and then using a bit of a running start he leaps up and comes down, dropping the knee across the bridge of Davis’ nose. Davis rolls and grabbing his face as Shane puts his hands in the air and then takes a mocking bow to the crowd. The crowd jeers him for his arrogant display, and a “Shane Sucks” chant begins to move through the arena. Alan Ducard: That arrogance is certainly not endearing Shane to this Vegas crowd! Jimmy Yates: Neither does his acting, so I’d say its par for the course. Bryan Harris: They just don’t know true talent when they see it Jimbo. They don’t recognize that they are in the presence of greatness! Shane pulls Davis to his feet, and spins quickly, taking him over with a swinging neckbreaker, and Shane goes for the quick pinfall. Alan Ducard: ONE TWO T-NO! Davis gets the shoulder off the canvas, and this match will continue. Shane looks a bit frustrated at the two count, but he tries to keep on Adam with a few stomps before pulling Davis to his feet. Adam quickly responds with an elbow to the gut, and follows it up with a jarring uppercut that nearly takes Shane off his feet, and sends him backwards to the ropes. Bryan Harris: That was obviously a closed fist, what is this ref blind? Jimmy Yates: I think the referee is showing some discretion here after Shane’s earlier antics. Shane staggers back into Davis who takes him up and over with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Davis then pulls Shane to his feet and again uses the Irish whip as The Iceman takes to the air with the high-leg clothesline, which he follows up with a quick standing leg drop. Davis can feel the momentum building and he pulls Shane to his feet, but Shane goes for the thumb to the eye, and he pulls Davis into a headlock. Davis tries to elbow his way out, and Shane yanks the hair. Davis yelps and informs the referee of the shady tactic, but as the referee moves to get a better look, Shane takes the opportunity to go for the eyes again and hits a brutal thumb to the eye. Knowing The Iceman is hurt, he quickly transitions the headlock into a knee to the face, followed up by a wicked looking DDT! Alan Ducard: Davis is bleeding from the repeated shots to the face and eyes, and I think it was that DDT that did the final damage. Jimmy Yates: Well it’s gut check time for Davis here in LEGACY, and we’ll see exactly what kind of heart this man has. Bryan Harris: Heart? It’s going to take more than heart for a victory here at Forged by Fire, especially against the likes of Derek Shane. Derek Shane distracts the referee and Shadow pulls Davis to the side of the ring and delivers a solid shot to Davis above the right eye that only serves to further widen the already opened gash. Shadow pulls Davis out of the ring then and goes for a second shot, but Davis blocks the punch and field goal kicks him in the groin! Davis quickly grabs Shadow and whips him into the guard rail over by the elevated walkway. Shane sees this turn of events, and dives over the top rope looking for a suicide plancha, but Davis somehow catches him and in one smooth motion spins him around and slams him back first into the guardrail. Shane lets out a scream as he slumps to the floor. Davis rolls into the ring breaking the count as Shane crawls around on the floor holding his back and crawls under the ring. Jimmy Yates: Look at Shane running away with his tale between his legs. Bryan Harris: He's not running away he's just disoriented. Shane crawls back out from under the ring still holding his back, and Davis rolls back out of the ring and grabs him, tossing him into the ring, not wanting to win by count out. Davis drives a shoulder into Shane's back and he screams out a he drops to one knee. Davis picks Shane up and slams him over his knee delivering a devastating back breaker. Shane falls to the mat holding his back for a split second then springs to his feet nailing Davis with a standing dropkick. He then grabs Davis and lifts him up and drops him neck first across the top rope. Alan Ducard: Something weird is going on. Shane took the at devastating spinning slam into the guard rail off of a top rope plancha, and then it’s as if Davis's back breaker was lacking in its effect? Bryan Harris: What? The guy is getting his second wind. Jimmy Yates: Actually Shane looks a little pale, Alan is right something does seem off. Even Shane's scar above his eye looks a little …. faded? Bryan Harris: What the hella re you guys talking about, so Shane covered his scar with some make up, big deal! On the outside Shadow starts to pull himself to his feet, and back in the ring Shane continues to work over Davis. He hits a series of atomic elbows and blood starts to drip into Davis's eyes as the crimson mask is in full effect. Shane locks in a sleeper hold and when he starts to feel Davis drifting he throws him over his head with a belly to back suplex with a bridge. Alan Ducard: ONE TWO THR-NO! Davis gets the shoulder up and Shane is NOT happy with that result. Shane cusses under his breath and pulls Davis up going for a piledriver, but Davis uses all his power to lift Shane and back body drop him out of the hold. Quickly he rubs some of the blood out of his eyes, and then grabbing Shane, Davis rocks him with elbow to the jaw. Shane stumbles forward and right to Davis. Alan Ducard: Davis has him up to the fireman’s carry! Shane struggles raking at the blood eyes and face but … DAVIS TAKES HIM OVER AND DELIVERS THE COLD SHOULDER! Jimmy Yates: He didn’t get Shane perfectly there, but he got enough to make it count! Davis does his trade mark “Dirty off yo’ shoulda” brush as Shane rolled from the impact, and out of the ring and back under it. Alan Ducard: there he goes climbing under the ring again, what's he doing? Bryan Harris: I told you he's discombobulated. Davis hit him hard! Davis starts to crawls out of the ring backwards to go after Shane, and for a brief second, under the ring, we see three feet sticking out as Shadow quickly kicks one back under the ring as Shane emerges from under the apron. Alan Ducard: Did I just see three feet? Bryan Harris: Alan you really need to stop drinking during the shows. Jimmy Yates: Either way it seems Shane has gotten his tan back. Maybe he has a stunt double? Bryan Harris: Blasphemy! Shane always does his own stunts. Shane climbs into the ring and is met with a Lou Thesz press from Davis! Adam starts to hammer away, but Shane drives both fists into the eyes, and pushes him off. The ref yells at Shane while Davis stumbles rubbing his eyes trying to get his vision back when Shane grabs him but Davis is ready for him, and boots him in the gut, doubling him over before and lifting him up onto his shoulders and attempts to go for another Cold Shoulder, but Shane elbows him in the head and slides off his back and lifts Davis up onto his shoulder then nails a sit out cradle driver. Bryan Harris: Cut and Print ONE... Alan Ducard: Shane hooks the tights. TWO... Shane puts his feet on the bottom rope. THREE!! The official signals for the bell, and Josephina makes the announcement. Josephina Colbert: Your winner of the match, Derek Shane! The ref unhappily raises Shane’s arm, and Shane quickly pulls it away and heads to the ramp. Shane stomps his feet before he climbs through the ropes and meets Shadow and the two walk to the back. As Davis holds his head and neck as he uses the ropes to try and get to his feet. The ringside fans shout about someone being under the ring and the ref climbs out of the ring and lifts the apron and looks under, then looks back at the fans and tell them there is no one under there and if they keep messing around they will get thrown out. Davis stands up holding his neck visibly pissed off as Shane and Shadow disappear behind the curtain leading backstage. The Replacement
Backstage, we find Anastasia Ewing standing in front of a locker room door along side of Ron Bailey. For the first time ever, the female road agent has a microphone in her hand. Anastasia Ewing: I’m proud to announce that, in my first interview ever, I get to speak to a man who, tonight, has the opportunity to fight for the Tao of Valor Championship! Anastasia turns her attention towards Ron Bailey, who is already decked out in his entrance attire. Anastasia Ewing: So Ron, when did you find out that you would be competing for a second time during the FORGED BY FIRE weekend? Ron Bailey: I got the call yesterday morning, and they asked me how I was feeling after my match with Lucien Gray, and when I told them I was all good, they asked if I’d be up for another match this weekend. I’d seen what happened to Eli Storm, so I wondered if that’s what they was talkin’ about, and after I told ‘em I’d be up for wrestlin’ on Sunday night, they confirmed that they wanted me to get into the ring with Justin Moreno. Anastasia Ewing: Both you and Justin Moreno were notified early on Saturday… do you feel like you had enough time to prepare for a second opponent? Ron Bailey: Even though there couldn’t be much more difference between two guys as there is between Moreno and Lucien, I’m definitely ready for this match. I mean, everybody knows that J-Mo can’t do anything with submissions, and everybody also knows that I got submission skills locked down even more than Eli Storm did. When I heard that Eli was gonna get Moreno in a Submissions Match, I was wishin’ that I was in that spot instead of Eli, because that’s a sweet spot to be in. Anastasia Ewing: Well your match is coming up soon so I won’t keep you here any longer, but best of luck to you out there, and hopefully later tonight I’ll see you back here with some championship gold. Ron Bailey: Oh, no doubt. And I just wanted to say that what happened to my boy John Thomas earlier tonight was a sham… e’rybody saw that his foot was under the rope and that the ref shouldn’t have counted that three… but John, I know you gonna get a rematch with Old Man Stellar, and when you do? You got that win, man, so don’t even sweat it. Without another word, Ron Bailey walks off, headed for his match. Tao of Valor Submission

Ron Bailey vs Justin Moreno © Anxious for another match, the fans get excited when the lights in the arena fade under and Josephina Colbert is lit by a single spotlight in the middle of the ring. Josephina Colbert: The next contest can only be won by submission and is for the Tao of Valor Championship! The excitement level grows as they realize that it’s a title match, and Josephina continues. Josephina Colbert: Introducing first, the challenger who is replacing the injured Eli Storm… he hails from Atlanta, Georgia… “Severe Punishment” by Wu Tang Clan hits the speakers and an orange spotlight shines down on the spot where the entrance curtain comes out onto the stage, and other various parts of the arena are illuminated in orange as well. Josephina Colbert: …he is “The Sure Thing”… Ron… Baaaailey!!!!!! Ron Bailey walks through the curtain and out onto the stage wearing blue and orange tights that end above his knee, with a matching blue and orange warm-up jacket. Not stopping on the entrance stage, Ron walks right past the camera and continues straight to the ring, walking above the fans on the entrance walkway. As he passes the camera, we see the back of Ron’s jacket which says “The Sure Thing” written on it. Sunglasses cover his eyes, and in his ears are headphones attached to an iPod, which he listens to all the way to the ring. Alan Ducard: After getting a victory over Lucien Gray on Friday night at the pre-show, Ron Bailey gets a big opportunity here tonight. The fact that it’s a Submissions Match certainly weighs in his favor, but having faced Lucien Gray just two days ago, it might be a tough transition. Bryan Harris: I don’t think that’s going to play a factor in this match hardly at all. It boils down to the fact that Ron Bailey has focused the majority of his training for the past 10 years on trying to find ways to get guys to tap out, and now in the biggest opportunity of his career, he goes up against a guy who doesn’t have much submissions training at all! This is a no brainer!! Jimmy Yates: I still think Justin Moreno’s going to do just fine tonight. Beating X-Calibur was no fluke, neither are the other big wins Moreno has had in LEGACY. I think he’s known long enough about this being a submissions match that he’s picked up a couple of ideas that are going to serve him well. As for the opponent change? I don’t think it’s going to matter. Alan Ducard: Well Eli Storm and Ron Bailey certainly have similar wrestling styles, and the slight weight difference isn’t going to mean much because Eli and Ron have very similar body styles. The one thing which might make it harder on Justin to face Ron instead of Eli is that Ron has a bigger reach advantage. Ron steps into the ring between the ropes and bobs his head side to side, up and down, loosening up. He takes off the sunglasses and hand them to the ring attendant, then follows suit with his jacket and iPod. Josephina Colbert: AND HIS OPPONENT... The lights go out and an impressive green and white laser light show begins to go off as the intro to "Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambria begins to play over the P.A. system. Then as the opening drum beats, smoke begins pouring from the entrance-way. Josephina Colbert:... FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA... weighing in tonight at 204 lbs... When the guitar riffs kick in completely, we see Justin Moreno emerge from the smoke with his LEGACY T-Shirt on with his Tao of Valor Title around his waist and a baggy black pair of pleather shorts that come down just past his knees. On the left side of the pant legs is the forest green "M" Monster Energy Drink logo with the words "Moreno" written below the "M" in the normal Monster font and on the right side is a forest green and white digitized image of Moreno hitting his patented Pele kick, (aka "David Beckham Fears This") to a random opponent with the words "PWNED" in forest green below the image. Moreno also has on black elbow and knee pads with black wrestling boots with forest green on black Japanese style kick pads and Hayabusa style black wrist sleeves with the "M" on the sleeves. Bryan Harris: Justin Moreno looks too calm for a guy who should be real nervous about this match. This is his first time EVER stepping into the ring at a pay per view having to defend a championship belt, and the guy looks way too calm. Josephina Colbert: ...YOUR TAO OF VALOR CHAMPION... JUSTIN... MO-REEEEENOOOOOO!!! The crowd gives Moreno a very loud reception as he points to the fans in the upper deck with a look of confidence on his face before he gives the trademark "X" sign across his chest. Jimmy Yates: Not only does he look calm, but he’s looking confident, maybe even excited about this match! Bryan Harris: Reality hasn’t set in yet, Jimmy. As Justin makes his way towards the ring, he reaches down tags hands with all the fans that he sees, until he gets to a fan holding up a "MORENO > ELI STORM" sign and holds the sign up for all the fans to see, before pulling out his trademark Sharpie, crosses out “ELI STORM” and writes “RON BAILEY” and he then autographs the sign before giving it back to the fan. At that point Justin then runs to the ring and dives into the ring between the top and middle rope, doing a forward roll before hopping up to his feet. Moving back over to his corner, Moreno jumps up and goes to one turnbuckle and holds up the belt with one arm while pointing to the fans with his other hand. Alan Ducard: Nifty little move there by Justin Moreno, and we now find ourselves moments from getting this thing underway… Justin hands the belt to the referee who holds it up for all to see. Jimmy Yates: That’s what they’re fighting for, one of the hottest belts in the business today, and Justin Moreno is going to do everything he’s got to keep that belt…. Bryan Harris: And you can bet that Ron Bailey is going to do everything he can to finally bring that belt home with him, which he’s been unable to do in the past. The bell rings as both men stare each other down. Moreno and Bailey tie up in the middle of the ring. Ron gets the early advantage of the match as he kicks Justin in the gut and wraps around Moreno and goes behind his back, trying some kind of suplex. But before he can execute it, Moreno hits Bailey in the temple with an elbow, spins Ron around and tries for a vertical suplex. Bailey shifts his weight in mid air lands on his feet, drills Justin with a forearm shot and then turns around and runs into the ropes. Alan Ducard: Ron Bailey getting some momentum… he goes for a clothesline… Jimmy Yates: But Justin ducks underneath the attempt! Ron stops his momentum and turns around to face his opponent. Moreno
grabs him by the arm and irish whips him into the corner turnbuckle.
Not wasting any time, Moreno rushes in toward Ron, but before he can
do anything, Bailey gets a boot up and connects with Moreno's face,
staggering Justin back a couple steps. Taking a couple quick steps,
Ron rushes out of the corner and tries to get Moreno from behind, but
Moreno is quick to turn around and he ducks, trying to flip Bailey over
with a back body drop. Ron spots it at the last moment and does a shoulder
roll across Justin’s back, allowing him to land on his feet. Moreno
turns around and stares at Bailey, as both men are smiling at each other,
neither one getting an advantage over either one. Jimmy Yates: It might be a bit early for a submission just yet, but this could certainly lay the ground work… Bryan Harris: Justin should probably consider just tapping out, because by the time this is all over, he could get so injured that he might never be able to wrestle up to the current standard he’s set for himself… which isn’t all that high right now anyway. Justin adamantly shakes his head, refusing to tap out. Moreno reaches
out and tries to get his fingertips on the ropes, but Ron wrenches back
even harder on the hold. He tries to bring his feet forward to add more
leverage, but as Bailey tries to reposition himself, Justin also moves,
allowing him to grab on to the bottom rope, and the referee forces Ron
to break the hold. Bailey gets up and starts to stomp on Moreno’s
leg. Reaching down, Ron grabs Justin by the ankle and tries to lock
him into an ankle lock, but Moreno rolls forward to get out of it, then
immediately springs into a flying spinning back heel kick which wipes
Ron off the mat. As Bailey rolls over and starts to get up, Justin dives
in and hits him with a double axhandle smash, dropping him back to the
mat. This gives Moreno enough time to sit down onto Ron’s back,
pulling up on his chin into a Camel Clutch. Alan Ducard: Skillful evasion there by Justin Moreno. Bryan Harris: He’s damn lucky, too, because if Ron Bailey had locked in that armbar, Moreno would be tapping out right about now. Ron moves in on his opponent, and Justin drills him in the side with
a roundhouse kick. Bailey winces, then spins around and kicks Justin
with a roundhouse kick of his own. Justin retaliates with a hard right
hand that connects right to the face of Ron, and then Moreno grabs Bailey
by the arm and whips him into the ropes. On the return, Ron ducks under
a clothesline attempt from Justin and quickly hits a falling neckbreaker. Bryan Harris: I’m telling you guys, he should’ve tapped out already! His means to livelihood is about to go down the drain because he was too proud to give up earlier! Bailey wrenches it in deeper as Moreno struggles to try to move his legs closer and closer to the ropes. Ron tries to move his legs to keep Justin from moving, but as Justin slides his arms partially out of the hold, he gets close enough to hook his toe on the bottom rope. Alan Ducard: And yet again Justin Moreno finds a way to get to the ropes to get a hold broken! Bryan Harris: Moreno found a way to get Bailey to release the hold,
but you have to wonder how much damage has been done? Jimmy Yates: This is a crazy little move by Moreno, but I think it’s actually working really well! Alan Ducard: I should say so! You can tell that it’s certainly putting a lot of strain on Ron’s shoulder, and with the ropes in the way, he’s unable to uses his legs to kick Justin to get out of it! Bryan Harris: I think he’s figured it out! Using his free arm and his legs, Ron pushes against the ropes, trying to pry his arm out of Moreno’s grasp. When he finally breaks free, Ron stumbles back a couple steps, almost going down to the mat. When Justin sees the opportunity, he hops up onto the top rope, balances for a very brief moment and then flies off, locking his legs around Ron’s head and taking him down with a flying headscissors! Jimmy Yates: Great takedown by Justin Moreno!! Alan Ducard: And he’s still holding on, now using his legs as a vice around Ron’s neck! Ron tries his best to try to pry his head free of the vice-like grasp of Moreno’s legs, but to no avail. The referee moves in to see if Bailey is going to give up, but he refuses to do so. Changing up his tactic, Ron uses his arms to rock back and forth, and he rolls Justin over onto his other side, and away from the referee’s view, Ron swings his fist upwards and hits Moreno in the crotch. A moment later, Ron frees himself. Bryan Harris: That’s one way to do it!! The referee yells at Ron for a second, but Bailey tries to take the moment to catch his breath before getting involved again. Turning around, Ron goes for a hooking right hand on Moreno, but Justin blocks it, then quickly turns the positioning into an armdrag takedown. Ron gets back up to his feet, but Justin takes him by the wrist and irish whips him into the ropes, on the return taking Bailey down with a hiptoss, immediately locking in an armbar submission. Alan Ducard: Interesting strategy being employed here by Moreno, apparently targeting the arms of Ron Bailey. Jimmy Yates: It’s weird – I think Justin Moreno is attacking Ron’s arms because that’s what he’ll have to use if he’s going to use his typical winning moves, and I think Ron’s attacking Justin’s arms because that’s the weaker part of Justin’s body, compared to his legs or his back! Justin spins his legs around and straddles Ron’s shoulder, and now he wrenches back on the arm, going for a Fujiwara Armbar, and the fans start cheering as it looks like Moreno is in a good position. The referee moves into place to see how Bailey is going to respond, but he doesn’t answer the ref at all. Getting his other arm underneath of himself, Ron manages to roll Justin backwards and over onto his back. Bailey immediately gets on top of Justin and starts throwing forearms into his opponent’s face. Bryan Harris: Strong counter by The Sure Thing, and this could very well be it for Justin Moreno! Alan Ducard: Justin blocking some of those forearm shots now, and if he wants any chance of continuing on in this match, he’s going to have to keep from absorbing too much punishment right here. Finding a hole, Moreno puts his right arm underneath Ron’s right arm and swings across, shoving Bailey off of him. As both men try to get up, Justin throws his legs forward and hits Ron with a low dropkick which keeps him on the mat. Rolling backwards, Justin gets to his feet and takes a couple quick steps in and then drills Bailey in the side of the head with a Shining Wizard kick. Jimmy Yates: Great strike there by the Tao of Valor Champion, and this could be it! Bryan Harris: Where in the heck is Moreno going?! Moving out onto the apron, Justin tries to pull himself up to the top rope. His arm causes him to wince in pain, but he still struggles to get to the top. By the time Justin gets there, Ron Bailey shakes the cobwebs and dives forward, hitting a forearm shot to one of Moreno’s ankles, crotching him down onto the top turnbuckle. Alan Ducard: All the men in attendance felt that one! Bryan Harris: With the exception of Ron Bailey! Reaching up, Ron grabs Justin by the head and pulls him from the top turnbuckle onto his shoulders, holding him into the fireman’s carry position, and the crowd gets anxious. When he starts to lift Justin up, however, Moreno flips his legs out of Bailey’s grasp, putting himself on the mat behind his opponent. Ron swings around with a back fist, but Justin ducks underneath the attempted blow, then hops up, grabs Ron by the head, puts his feet on the middle ropes and then swings himself around, dropping Ron down onto the mat with a Tornado DDT. Jimmy Yates: Justin has Ron Bailey on his back, now he needs to figure out what to do with him!! Alan Ducard: It looks like he’s going to try do to more damage to that arm. Getting to his feet, Justin Moreno begins stomping down onto Ron Bailey’s shoulder. After a good five stomps, he reaches down, holds the shoulder in position, then does a hand-stand and then brings his knees straight down into the shoulder of his opponent. Standing up, Justin runs into the ropes, and on the return he does a dropkick which connects right to Ron Bailey’s shoulder, causing Ron to roll to the side in pain. Bryan Harris: Justin has Ron favoring that shoulder, and this is where some submission skills would come in handy! Hoisting Ron up to his feet, Justin grabs his opponent into a standing armbar and tries to turn it into a hammerlock, but Bailey ducks underneath the attempt and throws a knee into Justin’s gut, doubling him over. Locking on a hammerlock of his own, Ron hoists Moreno up onto his shoulder, takes a step forward and then drives his shoulder down across his knee. Alan Ducard: Ron Bailey continues to target that shoulder of Justin Moreno, hitting a very nice hammerlock shoulder breaker. Moving around to the head of his opponent, Ron Bailey lifts Justin up off the mat and tries to grab him around the head into the guillotine choke. Justin fights it by pushing away, but the arm which Ron has been working over all match isn’t strong enough to push Bailey away too far, and Justin only ends up a few feet away. Ron swings around and drills Justin in the gut with a blind mule kick, doubling him over, and then Ron throws his arms around Justin’s neck, locking in the guillotine choke. Jimmy Yates: Fight it J-Mo!!! Bryan Harris: There’s not much he can do from here, Jimbo, this one’s going to be over! Struggling, Justin charges forwards with his legs as hard as he can go, trying to keep his head from having Ron’s forearm locked on his windpipe. As he continues to shuffle his feet, Justin inches further across the ring, getting closer and closer to the ropes. Alan Ducard: Moreno might actually make it to the ropes… and I believe that’s the only way he’s going to get out of The Odds-On Favorite. Bryan Harris: Don’t go calling your bookie just yet, Al, because Justin is slowing down a bit… Ron is planting his feet… Moreno tries to keep shuffling his feet to try to get closer to the ropes, but as Ron gets a good grip on the mat with one foot, he puts his other foot up off the mat and pushes against the ropes, pushing Justin a little bit closer to the middle of the ring, and as Justin tries to push again, his foot slips and he falls to his knees. Jimmy Yates: Oh… that’s not going to be good… Bryan Harris: No it’s not, not if you’re a Justin Moreno fan, anyway! J-Mo has no means of getting any closer to the ropes… AND THERE WE GO, Ron Bailey has his forearm underneath Justin’s chin, pressed against that windpipe… GOODNIGHT!! The referee moves in to check Moreno, whose face is starting to get really red, and before he passes out, Justin taps his hand against the side of Ron’s arm, and the referee calls for the bell. As the bell rings, the referee taps Ron Bailey, getting him to release the Guillotine choke. Bryan Harris: He did it! Ron Bailey makes history!! Josephina Colbert: The winner of this match… and NEW Tao of Valor Champion… “The SURE THING”… Roooooon!!! Baaaaaailey!!! Alan Ducard: Ron Bailey gets the tap out victory, and in doing so, he takes his career to the next level here tonight! The referee gets the Tao of Valor Championship from the time keeper as well as the velvet bag containing the TAP token, walks over and hands both items to Ron Bailey. Jimmy Yates: I can’t help but think that this was an unfortunate way for Justin Moreno’s first Tao of Valor Championship Match to go down! Obviously out of the four stipulations he could’ve had, this one was going to be the hardest for him. Alan Ducard: It’s well documented the effort Justin Moreno put into his efforts outside the ring to be a good champion, doing all the things that come when you win championship gold… going above and beyond what some people do, trying to be an ambassador for LEGACY… and you can’t help but think that he might’ve done better had he not been burdened with that responsibility. Bryan Harris: Hey, no one told him he HAD to be the poster boy for the Tao of Valor Title, that’s something he did on his own, and now look where all the hard work got him! Alan Ducard: I think this, right here, is a good indication of where that hard work got him. Listen to these fans… As Ron Bailey gets to the entrance stage with his newly won championship title over his shoulder, Justin Moreno picks himself up off the mat, and as he does, the fans all over the arena stand and applaud his efforts. Obviously disappointed by how the match turned out, Justin still is able to lift a hand, waving at the fans before walking across the ring to head backstage. |
