Opportunity Ladder
Match
Josephina Colbert: Our next contest is the Opportunity Ladder Match where one individual will climb a ladder to retrieve a contract good for a shot at either the No Limits Title or the Tao of Valor Championship! The fans give off a good ovation, obviously having been looking forward to this match. Josephina Colbert: Introducing first… The lights darken slightly and "Famous" by Puddle of Mudd blares through the PA System as "The Incredible One" Eli Storm walks out onto the stage. He pauses at the top of the ramp and looks around for a moment as his introduction is finished. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from Calgary… Alberta, Canada… Eli… Storm!! As the red and white Canada colored pyro bursts explode upwards, Storm makes his way down the ramp, headed to the ring. Alan Ducard: Having gotten off to a moderately slow start here in LEGACY, Eli Storm hopes to reverse that fortune here tonight. Bryan Harris: I’m sure he’s probably disappointed in himself with his lack of success so far, but it’s only a matter of time before this World caliber athlete gets back on track. Jimmy Yates: I don’t know why people say that Eli Storm has lacked success, he did, after all, get a huge win over Rocky Stellar a few months ago, and… Bryan Harris: And nothing! When you’re as naturally talented as Eli Storm is and you’ve had the kind of success elsewhere that he’s had, anything less than championship gold is a failure! Reaching the ring, Eli slides under the bottom ropes and hops up on the nearest turnbuckles and points towards one of the ladders. He mouths the words "Tonight Is the Night Of Highlights" and then hops off the turnbuckle so the ref can check him out. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom… “Dragula” starts to play as the lights flicker around the arena. Josephina Colbert: …John… Iley!!! Getting a decent pop from the fans, John walks out from the back and stands by the entrance way. He bounces from foot to foot for a few seconds while shaking his arms as if doing a final warm up then makes his way to the ring. His face is serious and he slaps the odd hand of the fans as he makes his way down to the ring. Passing by a ladder in the ramp along the way, Iley stops and looks up at it. Jimmy Yates: Is he studying it? Bryan Harris: This guy’s a little crazy, isn’t he? Alan Ducard: Walking around it, picking it up and holding it, giving
it a shake to check how sturdy it is… I guess Iley just wants
to be certain of the quality of the instruments which he’ll have
to use if he wants to take home that contract. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from the burrough of Queens in New York City… The opening chords of Pantera's "Goddamn Electric" rip through the arena's loudspeakers and the fans respond in kind with a chorus of boos. Josephina Colbert: …Grreg… Allocca! Greg Allocca explodes from the back, rushing down to the ring, his eyes focused on the contract hanging high above. His face is set with grim determination as he ignores the crowd and slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope. He stands in the center of the ring, eyes still locked on the contract, jogging in place to stay loose as he awaits the opening bell. Bryan Harris: I know we have some legit crazy guys in this match, but this guy’s gotta rank up there. He’s still got some blood on his head from a few minutes ago when he smashed his head into that mirror! Alan Ducard: Having a full set of mental faculties isn’t a requirement for winning this match or a championship in LEGACY for that matter. Jimmy Yates: Allocca came close to winning one on STRIFE 29 when he was in the ring with X-Calibur, and it’s only a matter of time before he gets gold around here. If X-Calibur loses his belt tonight, John Thomas should highly consider buying Greg Allocca dinner to say “thank you” for softening X-Calibur up for him. Bryan Harris: It was a tough match at STRIFE 29, but I don’t know if John needs anyone to soften X-Calibur up for him… but that match isn’t until later, so how about we keep moving? The Lights flicker as "The Light that Blinds" by Shadows Fall hits the PA system and smoke fills the entryway as blacklights pulsate in the smoke, giving it an eerie glow to it. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from Biloxi, Mississippi… He is Crrrazy Boy… Tyrone… Smith! Jimmy Yates: Talking about guys whose elevators don’t go to the top floor… Alan Ducard: That’s putting it mildly, but these fans clearly don’t care about his mental health, they just love watching the guy in that ring! A figure appears in the smoke as it is Tyrone "Crazy Boy" Smith. He appears from the smoke to a very nice ovation of cheers and as he is walking down the ramp, he looks and sees one of the ladders set up. He stares and smiles and nods his head and makes his way to the ring. He slides under the ring ropes and stares at Eli Storm, John Iley, and then at Greg Allocca before he then pumps his fist in the air and then waits for the match to start. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from Machias, Maine… Lucien… Gray! The sound system playing “Pardon Me” by Incubus, the large masked monster slowly walks out from between the curtain, and the fans who had been cheering Crazy Boy a few moments ago are now mostly silent, not sure what to make of the creepy figure now walking down the isle. Bryan Harris: Here comes a guy who doesn’t have a lot of people’s attention coming into this match, but he’s going to make a huge impact, no doubt about it. He looked damn good in his match a couple days ago at the pre-show when he beat Alex Harmston and Percy Wright to qualify for this match. Jimmy Yates: There’s no escaping the fact that Lucien Gray is a huge guy, and his size might not help him climb the ladder, but he should be hard to move out of the way once he sets his mind to something. Alan Ducard: I have been told that the ladders set out for this match are steel reinforced, so if Lucien Gray gets the chance to climb the ladder, it won’t buckle underneath him. Bryan Harris: Well that’s reassuring. As Lucien Gray gets to the ring, he walks around the outside, deciding not to enter the ring just yet. Green spotlights shine down on the entrance ramp and as Lucien’s theme music fades under, it’s replaced by “Severe Punishment” by Wu Tang Clan. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia… “The Sure Thing”… Ronald… Bailey!! Ron Bailey walks out from the back, getting mostly boos from the crowd, a smattering of cheers from random fans in various parts of the arena, barely audible over those who have the opposite opinion of him. With a smirk on his face, Ron Bailey just makes his way down the ramp. Jimmy Yates: The second of three competitors who qualified back at the pre-show, I thoroughly enjoyed the match two nights ago between Ron Bailey and Katsuro Yoshida. Alan Ducard: There was plenty discussion amongst the front office whether to have the match between Ron Bailey and Katsuro Yoshida be the main event, or to go with the Hector Rodriguez / Kevin Oppenheimer match, and although I found both matches quite a good time, I believe they made the right decision. Hopping up onto the apron, Ron Bailey removes his blue and green tear-away warm-up pants and then unzips his matching jacket, tossing them to the ring attendant before entering the ring. The Wu-Tang Clan’s song is then replaced by “Resurrection” by Fear Factory, and when Mirage walks out from the back, there’s no mixed reaction there, getting nothing but boos from the masses. Josephina Colbert: Hailing from Chicago, Illinois... MiRAGE!! Bryan Harris: Yet another big name in this match, Mirage has been no stranger to championship gold in every other federation he’s been in, but he hasn’t seen it yet in LEGACY. Jimmy Yates: With Mirage’s history of being able to find ways to accomplish his goals, I wouldn’t be surprised to see something happen here tonight and have him walk away from this ring with the contract that’s currently hanging above the ring. Alan Ducard: That’s certainly a distinct possibility, especially if he’s found a way to get in collusion with one of these other individuals, because a two-on-one teaming would certainly make for a tough force to beat. Josephina Colbert: And the final entrant in this match… The lights dim, “Outlaw Torn” begins to play, and immediately the fans begin cheering. Josephina Colbert: From KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE… He is “The Outlaw”… Grrrreyson… Blade!! Slowly, methodically, Greyson Blade steps out from the curtain, and when he does he gets a MASSIVE pop from the fans, so big, in fact, that he remains standing at the top of the ramp for a moment, letting it all sink in, though keeping his eyes locked on the ring. Alan Ducard: Greyson Blade making his first in-ring appearance on a LEGACY pay per view in over 10 months, and these fans are obviously glad to have him back. Jimmy Yates: You bet they are. Greyson Blade was a great World Champion back before he got put out of commission, and a lot of LEGACY fans want to see him regain championship gold, whichever belt it might be. Bryan Harris: I’m sure everybody’s glad to have Greyson Blade back, but I think we’re overlooking a very important point that I want to mention before we get any further. Josephina Colbert just said that Greyson Blade is the last guy to come out for this match, but we’ve yet to see Hector Rodriguez! Alan Ducard: I didn’t see him earlier tonight, and I’m getting word that he did not show up here tonight due to an upper respiratory medical condition. We saw signs of that on Friday night when Hector was coughing after a particular move from Kevin Oppenheimer and then again after the match. No longer standing atop the ramp, Greyson is about half way to the ring when the all lights go out again, and after a few seconds a spotlight shines down on Greyson and a distorted voice can be heard. Voice: Your HEROES have failed you, but all hope is not LOST. The spotlight fades and the lights comeback on as Greyson looks around confused about what just happened, but continues his way to the ring. Bryan Harris: Somebody is playing games with us, and it’s just not funny. Jimmy Yates: Even though that spotlight was shining down on him, Greyson Blade doesn’t look worried. Alan Ducard: I might be if I were him, because he already has seven other individuals to be wary of inside that ring, and the last thing he needs is an eighth person showing up and causing him to lose the match. At the bottom of the ramp, Greyson Blade steps on up onto the apron and then enters the ring, stretching his arms and neck for a final time before taking off his signature wanted poster shirt and tossing it into the crowd. Bryan Harris: I have to laugh as Greyson Blade is standing there in the ring wearing a pair of jeans, his ring gear gone due to what Eli Storm and Matt Kanyon did earlier tonight by giving away things from Greyson’s locker room. Alan Ducard: They’re venturing into dangerous territory, getting involved with Greyson Blade like that. I don’t know that it’s going to make much difference on his performance in this match, though, because Greyson Blade is a guy who can fight no matter what the situation is and no matter what he’s wearing. With all the other competitors in the ring, Lucien Gray stops circling the ring and walks up the steel steps, moving up onto the apron, then getting into the ring. As he walks across the ring, the various competitors watch him, checking to see what the giant masked man is planning. They then begin shifting their attention amongst each other, the ladders outside, and the briefcase hanging above the ring. Alan Ducard: Everyone doing their own final planning and strategizing before a match that could help push their career to the next level. Bryan Harris: There’s the opening bell, and we’re getting things underway. With everyone taking a moment to decide what their first move will be, Lucien Gray turns his attention to John Iley, grabbing him by the wrist, pulling him in and dropping him to the mat with a short-arm clothesline. Before most of the people in the match realize what just happened, Lucien Gray reaches out, grabs Greg Allocca by the wrist and then sends him down to the mat with a short-arm clothesline. After hitting the mat, Allocca rolls out of the ring underneath the bottom rope. Jimmy Yates: Two huge clotheslines from Lucien Gray, nearly taking their heads off, and now Crazy Boy is the first one to step up to take on the masked monster! Bryan Harris: And he doesn’t fare any better! Having gone for a right hand, Crazy Boy’s punch is blocked by Lucien Gray, and then Crazy Boy is pulled in and taken down with a short-arm clothesline just like the other two. Pounding his chest in a sign of dominance and challenging others to step up, Lucien Gray turns and stares down the rest of the men in the ring, but it doesn’t last long. Having seen enough, Greyson Blade charges in, dives forward and DRILLS Lucien Gray with a KILLSHOT spear, taking him clean off his feet and sending a HUGE ovation throughout the crowd. Jimmy Yates: This is easily the earliest into a match I’ve ever seen Greyson Blade hit a KILLSHOT, and that’s going to keep Lucien Gray down and out for at least a little bit. Alan Ducard: Well we’re now underway, and it should be interesting to see what Mirage ends up doing, as he left the ring almost immediately after the opening bell and got himself a ladder. When he stands up after having hit a KILLSHOT, Greyson Blade is immediately met by Ron Bailey, who gets in Blade’s face and begins to talk smack. Things get a little heated, but before Greyson can do anything to Ron Bailey, Eli Storm runs up from behind and blindsides Greyson with a running leaping forearm shot. Both using rights, lefts, and forearms, Ron Bailey and Eli Storm team up on Greyson Blade, taking the former World Champion down to the mat. Bryan Harris: Ron Bailey standing back and watching for a moment, Eli Storm gets right down there and starts choking the life out of Greyson Blade... and I LOVE IT!! Sliding into the ring, Greg Allocca rejoins the match and bounces off the ropes, runs forward, somersaults and goes for a back heel kick. His target, Ron Bailey, sees Allocca out of the corner of his eye and dodges out of the way. As Ron turns around to go after Allocca, Greg turns, spins and nails Bailey on the jaw with a superkick, laying him out flat and getting a good ovation from the fans. Still going to work on Greyson Blade with forearm shots to the face, Eli Storm is grabbed off of The Outlaw by John Iley and taken backwards with a german Suplex. Fighting to be the first to get to their feet, Eli Storm and John Iley get up as quickly as they can. For good measure, Eli Storm sends a hard chop that hits John Iley in the chest, rocking him backwards. Getting to his feet first, Eli Storm gets the first punch in on John Iley, but they soon begin trading punches back and forth. Bryan Harris: Here comes Mirage!! Having put the ladder into the ring under the bottom rope, Mirage reenters the ring and lifts the ladder up to his chest and then runs forward, drilling John Iley, Greg Allocca, and Ron Bailey with the ladder, knocking them all down to the mat. Crowd: OOOOHHH!!! Jimmy Yates: Eli Storm gets lucky there… he saw Mirage coming, blocked one of Iley’s punches, then dropped to the mat and rolled out of the ring under his own power, avoiding the ladder clothesline all together. Bryan Harris: That’s what these kind of matches are all about, having eyes in the back of your head! Alan Ducard: Eli should consider himself lucky he’s not one of the competitors who just got taken down courtesy of Mirage’s reinforced steel implement. Turning around after having knocked out three guys, the ladder still in hand, Mirage spots Crazy Boy just as he flies off the top rope, diving forward and connecting with a cross body block across the ladder still in Mirage’s hands, putting him down onto his back on the mat. Bryan Harris: Not quite the smartest move by Crazy Boy… Jimmy Yates: No, certainly not conventional, but it pays off. Lifting the ladder off of Mirage, Crazy Boy sets it up in the middle of the ring and begins to climb. Keeping his eye on his opponents, Crazy Boy spots Mirage getting up off the mat, and so Crazy Boy stops climbing, turns around and dives forward, connecting with a flying clothesline on Mirage, sending him back down onto the mat. Alan Ducard: There’s a more traditional attack from Tyrone Smith, and just as effective as his cross body block from before. Bryan Harris: And now do you see what I do? Lucien Gray not only getting to his feet on the outside, but also getting his wits again. Jimmy Yates: Outside the ring on the other side, Eli Storm sets up a ladder and begins to climb it. Having returned to his feet, Greyson Blade walks over and grabs Ron Bailey by the wrist, lifts him up to his feet and immediately sends him across the ring into the far corner with an irish whip. Bailey hits hard back first, and Greyson Blade follows him in, hitting a driving shoulder that keeps Ron in the corner. Taking a step back, Greyson Blade begins sending hard right hands into the gut and chest of Ron Bailey, who tries to cover up, but to no real avail. Taking Ron by the wrist, Greyson starts to go for an irish whip, but instead of sending him all the way across the ring, Blade pulls him back in towards the corner and drills him with a short-arm forearm shot to the face, rocking Bailey back a step. Bryan Harris: Blade and Bailey going toe to toe in the middle of the ring, but they’re about to get company! Alan Ducard: Eli Storm jumps from the top of the ladder to the top rope, balances for a brief moment and then springboards forwards and throws his entire body into Greyson Blade and Ron Bailey, knocking both men down! Jimmy Yates: Before Eli Storm can even follow the move up, John Iley moves in, grabs Eli Storm, lifts him up off the mat and hits an atomic drop, stunning Eli Storm. Crazy Boy picks up a ladder, puts his head between two rungs, resting it on his shoulders, and then starts to spin around doing the whirly bird. The first person he hits is Eli Storm, knocking him down to the mat. Ron Bailey sees Crazy Boy coming at the last moment and ducks under the ladder at first, but as Crazy Boy keeps spinning around Ron Bailey gets drilled by the other end. Getting up off the mat after being have knocked down by Eli Storm a few moments ago, Greyson Blade stands up and nearly walks into the spinning ladder rotating around Crazy Boy, but he spots it just before it would hit him in the head, and Greyson backs up a few steps, moving into the corner. Alan Ducard: It appears Crazy Boy is done doing the 'whirly bird' with the ladder, and after knocking two of his fellow competitors down with it, he appears to be quite dizzy. Bryan Harris: That’s the problem with a dumb move like that in a match like this. Now Crazy Boy put himself into a bad spot, and somebody’s going to take advantage of it! Throwing the ladder down, Crazy Boy begins to stumble about the ring a bit, but before he can get his wits about himself again, Crazy Boy is tackled down to the mat by Lucien Gray, who just got back into the ring. As Lucien Gray starts to get up off the mat, Mirage runs in and kicks him in the ribs, flipping him over onto his back. Moving in on the big man, Mirage begins to work over Lucien Gray with mounted right hands connecting to the side of the head, just aside of the mask. After hitting a third straight hard right hand, Mirage is knocked off of Lucien Gray by Greg Allocca, who runs in and nails Mirage with a dropkick. Jimmy Yates: Greg Allocca helping out Lucien Gray a bit, and if he hadn’t shown up, Lucien might’ve been in some serious trouble, because those right hands to the temple from Mirage were no joke. Alan Ducard: A bit of teamwork coming here from Lucien Gray and Greg Allocca as Greg says something to the masked monster as Lucien gets to his feet. Carefully and with a look of appreciation for Greg taking out Mirage, Lucien Gray lifts Allocca up off the mat into a gorilla press position and tosses him down onto Mirage. Not wanting to let the big man decide where to go next, John Iley runs in and hits a dropkick to the knee of Lucien Gray, knocking him down to a knee. As John tries to continue in on the attack, Lucien Grey blocks a punch and hits a clubbing blow, backing Iley into the ropes. Rebounding with a little bit of momentum, Iley tries to hit Lucien again, but Gray grabs him and lifts Iley up into a gorilla press, but John shifts his weight and knocks his arm away, allowing John to fall back behind Lucien. On the way down, John Iley wraps his arm around Lucien’s throat, bending him backwards. Hopping up, John Iley takes the masked monster down to the mat with a reverse DDT. Alan Ducard: Great counter there by John Iley to not only avoid getting thrown to the mat, but to also take Lucien Gray down in the process. Bryan Harris: Now as he gets to his feet there’s a little staredown between John Iley and Greyson Blade, and it looks like Greyson Blade is maybe a little impressed by Iley taking down the big man. Jimmy Yates: Well The Outlaw knows what it takes to put Lucien Gray on his ass, and I think he might be amazed that John Iley was able to do it like he did. Alan Ducard: It was all about positioning and the technical aspects of how John Iley… Bryan Harris: Hey Alan? We don’t care, there’s a match going on. Running in, Ron Bailey connects with a flying knee / forearm combination that rocks John Iley backwards and down to the mat. Before Greyson Blade can do anything to Ron Bailey, Greg Allocca moves in and drills Greyson Blade in the back of his leg with a straight kick, drawing his attention. Greg Allocca leaps up and grabs The Outlaw by the head, then swings backwards and plants him down onto the mat with a Tornado DDT. Meanwhile, Ron Bailey picks up a ladder and turns his attention back on John Iley, but Iley gets to his feet and immediately leaps up and hits a dropkick on Bailey, knocking the ladder out of his hand and knocking Ron down to the mat. John comes in and tries to pick Ron Bailey up off the mat, but Ron comes up off the mat and brings his arm upwards, hitting John Iley with a low blow. Bryan Harris: Good quick thinking by Ron Bailey, and now he’s going to follow it up. Alan Ducard: Taking Iley by the wrist, Ron Bailey lifts him up off the mat and goes for an irish whip… Reversing the irish whip, John Iley pulls Ron Bailey back in towards, him, ducking down and putting his head under Ron’s arm, he then flips Ron up and over his head with a Northern Lights Suplex, dropping Ron’s lower back onto the ladder Ron was holding a couple moments ago, getting a very nice pop from the crowd. Crowd: OOOHHH!!! LEG-A-SEE! LEG-A-SEE! LEG-A-SEE! Alan Ducard: John Iley with a nice reversal into the Tyne Bridge! Bryan Harris: That’s great, if this were a regular match, he might even get a pinfall right about now, but it’s not a regular match, so basically all he did was to drop Ron Bailey’s lower back on a ladder! Jimmy Yates: On the other part of the ring, Greg Allocca just pulled Greyson Blade up to his feet, but after blocking a hard left hand… Blade gets Allocca up onto his shoulders… Outlaw Drop!! Alan Ducard: There’s more action going on outside the ring… The camera switches to the outside of the ring where we see Crazy Boy and Eli Storm attacking each other, trading punches back and forth. Spotting an opportunity, Mirage runs in and joins the fun, hitting Crazy Boy from behind and slowing his attack. Lifting Crazy Boy up off his feet, Mirage hits a backbreaker before dropping Crazy Boy to the arena floor. Stepping up and grabbing Crazy Boy by one ankle in each of his hands, Eli Storm hops up off the mat, extends his legs, dropping them onto the groin of Crazy Boy. Bryan Harris: Nice little double-team by Mirage and Eli Storm on Crazy Boy, and this is the type of collusion Mirage helps put together that helps him get advantages in matches like this. Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw doesn’t seem to like it, and I think he’s going to go stick up for his tag team partner from STRIFE 29!! Moving over to the ropes as quickly as possible, Greyson Blade gets out onto the apron and jumps down, hitting Eli Storm with a double axhandle, dropping him to the arena floor. Grabbing him by the arm, Greyson lifts him up off the mat and throws him into the ring under the bottom rope. Alan Ducard: And that’s one of the benefits from matches like what we saw on STRIFE 29. It gives Greyson Blade a slight affiliation with Crazy Boy, and that keeps double-teams like these from lasting very long. Turning his attention back on the two people outside the ring, Greyson Blade swings and connects with a left hand on Mirage, rocking him backwards. Spinning Mirage around, Greyson Blade lifts him up off his feet and hits an atomic drop, leaving Mirage standing there dazed. Turning around and saying something to Crazy Boy, Greyson turns to the side, drops down to one knee and bends down a bit. Crazy Boy backs up, then charges in, steps on Greyson’s back and leaps, landing on the back of Mirage’s shoulders, riding him forwards, down to the arena floor. Jimmy Yates: Electric move there by Crazy Boy, and Mirage is in a bad way here! Bryan Harris: As Crazy Boy stands up and celebrates, Greyson Blade picks Mirage up off the arena floor and throws him into the ring under the bottom rope. Once Crazy Boy sees that his “nemesis” Mirage is back in the ring, I bet there might be some tension brewing between he and Greyson Blade. Alan Ducard: At this point, Crazy Boy seems to happy about his situation to notice. Back in the ring, John Iley lifts Mirage up to his feet and irish whips him into the corner where a ladder is set up and standing up against the turnbuckles. Backing up a few steps, Iley then runs in, leaps, and hits a flying splash onto Mirage, further pressing him up against the ladder. As Greyson Blade gets back into the ring, he’s immediately attacked by Eli Storm and Ron Bailey, both of whom had been resting in nearby corners, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. After pounding on Greyson a few times each, Ron says something to Eli, who nods in agreement. Ron lifts Greyson to his feet while Eli grabs a ladder and sets it up in the corner where Mirage is standing, leaning it up against the competitor. After Ron pulls Greyson over towards that corner, Eli joins him and they both grab Greyson around the neck with one arm and hook him by the waistband of his jeans by the other arm, then they lift Greyson up off the mat and throw him backwards with a suplex, his back drilling the ladder, Mirage escaping from being sandwiched just before the suplex happens, falling down to the mat and rolling out and resting on the apron. Bryan Harris: That’ll quiet the Greyson Blade supporters for a minute or two. Jimmy Yates: Or maybe longer, because it looks like someone else wants to get their hands on Greyson. Moving into the corner where Greyson Blade is laid out on the mat, Lucien Gray moves in and lifts him up off the mat, picks him up into a bearhug position, then backs up a couple of steps and then runs forward, smashing Greyson's back into the ladder which is still set up in the corner. Backing up a couple steps, Lucien Gray is then slammed into the ladder for a second time, and then Lucien Gray turns and falls forwards, slamming Blade down onto the mat. Getting to his feet, Lucien Gray grabs one of the ladders in the corner, turns it upside down and slams downward with what would be the top of the ladder, slamming it onto Greyson’s chest. Alan Ducard: That's gotta bloody hurt bloody awful! Before he can slam it down for a second time, Lucien Gray is nailed from behind by John Iley, who comes out of nowhere to drill the big man with a hard right hand. Immediately John follows it up with a dropkick, sending Lucien Gray into the ladder set up in the corner and forcing him to drop his own. Lucien stumbles out of the corner but gets his leg caught in the ladder he had dropped as he tries to move towards the center of the ring, and John Iley takes advantage. Jumping up and hitting another dropkick, Iley causes the masked monster to tumble backwards a bit, bending over backwards with his leg still stuck in the ladder. Alan Ducard: You can see it in his eyes, John Iley sees an opportunity. Jimmy Yates: He moves in behind Lucien Gray… Dragon sleeper!! Alan Ducard: That’s almost an ILEY’S PAIN, using the ladder. On the other side of the ring, Ron Bailey grabs a ladder and goes to set it up, but Eli Storm comes in and tries to help him. Instead of continuing the collusion with him, Ron shoves the ladder forwards, hitting Eli and knocking him backwards and down onto the mat. Setting up the ladder, Bailey then starts slowly climbing the rungs. Bryan Harris: Ron Bailey starting to make the ascent up the ladder. Jimmy Yates: He’s not going to get very far… Greg Allocca sees Bailey on the fourth rung and runs up and climbs up onto the third rung, getting one behind Ron, then slides his arms up into position, putting Bailey in a full nelson. Not wasting any time at all after he’s got his hands locked together, Greg Allocca throws himself and his opponent backwards, hitting a dragon superplex.. Alan Ducard: Oh my word, he just hit “To Ashes” off a ladder! Bryan Harris: That’s great, it was certainly effective in keeping Ron Bailey from grabbing the contract, and Bailey might not be a factor for the rest of the match, but that move took its toll on Greg Allocca, too. Jimmy Yates: Allocca will probably be down for a minute or so, but he’ll be back up. Getting back into the ring, Crazy Boy pulls Mirage back into the ring under the bottom rope, not letting him rest out on the apron any longer, and he immediately puts Mirage up onto his shoulders into a fireman’s carry position, and then he starts spinning. Around and around and around spins Crazy Boy, eventually falling backwards and driving Mirage’s back down onto the mat. Jimmy Yates: Crazy Airlines – Destination: Samoa!! Bryan Harris: Not that move again… Now for the second time in this match, Crazy Boy has made himself dizzy! As Crazy Boy gets up off the mat, he staggers around a bit, only to get clotheslined down to the mat by Greg Allocca, who had just gotten up off the mat. Standing up next to Crazy Boy, Greg Allocca lines himself up and then dives forwards, hitting a falling headbutt that connects with the forehead of Crazy Boy. Alan Ducard: Excellently placed falling headbutt by Greg Allocca, but after smashing his forehead into a mirror prior to the match, you have to wonder why he would choose to use a headbutt. Bryan Harris: Actually I think it makes total sense, Ducard. The guy’s crazy enough to smash his own forehead into a mirror, why wouldn’t he be crazy enough to continue to use his head as a weapon?! Alan Ducard: Point well taken. Jimmy Yates: Even though Lucien Gray might be breathing hard, he’s still got a lot of power left in him. Bryan Harris: That’s because the other guys in this match made a huge mistake early on. Greyson Blade hit that KILLSHOT, but nobody followed up, and the big guy had some time to recover. Alan Ducard: There’s another situation we might want to talk about, as it has been developing for the past few moments. Eli Storm set up a ladder and began climbing it, and because it didn’t seem close enough to the contract I didn’t take much notice, but it’s become increasingly apparent that’s not what he’s going for. Getting two-thirds of the way up the ladder which he set up off-center of the ring, Eli Storm turns around and faces the middle of the ring. Eyeing his opponents, Eli spots a prone Crazy Boy still laid out on the mat, and throwing caution to the wind he leaps off, crashing down onto Crazy Boy with a swanton bomb. Crowd: OOOHHH!!! Bryan Harris: Nice move by Crazy Boy, and I think he noticed something when he was up on that ladder. There’s nobody around the ring right now to stop him from getting to the top! Alan Ducard: His back probably a little sore from the high risk maneuver he just connected with onto Crazy Boy, but he’s still got enough left in the tank and he repositions the ladder, and now he’s going to climb. Having moved the ladder to the center of the ring directly underneath the briefcase containing the contract, Eli Storm starts climbing up the ladder. Rung by rung, he slowly makes his way towards the top. Spotting one of his opponents halfway up the ladder, Greg Allocca forces himself up off the mat and starts climbing the opposite side of the ladder. By the time Eli’s head is above the top of the ladder, he notices Greg Allocca coming up the opposite side. Realizing that his time might be short, Eli struggles to get to the top as quickly as possible. When he gets there and reaches up, he’s met with a fist to the gut by Greg Allocca, who is now within reach. Turning his attention away from the briefcase, Eli turns his focus on Allocca and drills him in the forehead with a hard right hand, rocking him back. Nearly falling off the ladder, Greg realizes he needs to do something quick, so he climbs up another rung, blocking a punch in the process, then connects with a headbutt to Eli’s stomach. Balancing himself on two different rungs, Greg turns his attention towards the ring ropes. Bryan Harris: Wait just a minute, what the hell is this guy thinking about doing?! Jimmy Yates: It looks like… he’s going to jump?! Springing off with a mighty leap, Greg Allocca’s feet reach the ring ropes, he bends at the knee and pushes backwards at the right moment, propelling himself backwards. In mid-air Greg spins his body around slightly to see where he’s going, and a moment later he connects with the ladder, sending it off balance, knocking it down and sending Eli flying down to the mat. Crowd: HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! Alan Ducard: I can’t believe what I just saw! Greg Allocca leaps to the ropes, springboards backwards and uses his own body to knock down the ladder! Bryan Harris: And in the process keeps this match going, not letting Eli Storm get that briefcase! Jimmy Yates: We’re missing some action outside the ring! A minute ago Greyson Blade rolled himself out of the ring after being belly to belly suplexed by Lucien Gray, and then when Lucien joined him on the outside, Greyson Blade was able to make a comeback! Outside the ring, Greyson stands toe-to-toe with the monster, rocking him back with a right hand. As Lucien steps in and goes for a haymaker, The Outlaw ducks the move, steps in, and lifts Gray up onto his shoulders, then turns sideways and drives the big man down onto his back with The Outlaw Drop, getting a big ovation from the portion of the crowd who see the move. Bryan Harris: You gotta be kidding me!! Jimmy Yates: Oh my God!! That was an incredible show of strength from Lucien Gray!! Alan Ducard: I think things are about to get worse for the big man… Shouting down from the top rope, John Iley gets Greyson Blade to move out of the way, and then John jumps off the top rope, landing with an elbow drop down onto the middle of Lucien Gray’s chest, getting another big ovation from the crowd. Jimmy Yates: That was nuts! That’s a REALLY long way to fall! Alan Ducard: He didn’t fall, Jimmy, he jumped! As John Iley gets to his feet, he and Greyson Blade lock eyes, and then Greyson Blade slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope. When John Iley tries to re-enter the ring, however, he is met with a baseball slide from Mirage, sending him backwards into the steel guardrail. Mirage gets completely out of the ring now, and he drills Iley with a hard right hand to the head, rocking him back. When Mirage goes for another right hand, Iley blocks it, then uses Mirage’s arm to irish whip him into the guardrail. Grabbing Mirage’s arm again, John whips him into the steel corner ringpost, Mirage connecting hard with his shoulder. Alan Ducard: We’re getting a comeback from John Iley, and Mirage looks to be in trouble. Bryan Harris: I beg to differ, it’s John Iley who’s in trouble!! Jimmy Yates: Wait, that’s one of Mirage’s crazy super fans!! He’s choking John Iley!! Having reached over the steel guardrail, one of the fans grabs John Iley from behind, pulls him backwards and begins choking him. When security sees this, they run in and try to pry him off of John Iley, but Mirage runs in and sends a knee to Iley’s midsection, then steps back and drills him with a hard right hand to the face, knocking John Iley out. The fan feels John Iley’s body go limp and lets go. As John slumps down to the arena floor, half of the security force takes the fan away, the other half remains with John. A couple referees who have been at ringside to make sure things go smoothly start having words with Mirage. Bryan Harris: ALWAYS put money on Mirage having something up his sleeve! Alan Ducard: I must admit that I thought he might compete this entire match without having any shady antics, but it appears I was mistaken, and my fellow countryman is suffering because of it. Jimmy Yates: There’s no way John Iley’s going to win this match now. I’d be surprised if he gets up off the arena floor before someone wins this match! Bryan Harris: It could happen… it just depends how quick the EMTs can get out there. I don’t see him getting back into the ring, though. Back in the ring, Greyson Blade sets up a ladder, and for the first time in the match, he begins climbing up towards the contract. Seeing The Outlaw making his way up the ladder, Greg Allocca gets up off the mat and makes his way over and begins climbing up behind Greyson. When the Outlaw realizes he’s not the only one on the ladder, he turns slightly and drives his foot downwards, connecting with the side of Greg Allocca’s head, knocking him clean off the ladder and down to the mat. Jimmy Yates: Holy Crap! That was a WICKED kick to the head!! Alan Ducard: I’d be very surprised to see Greg Allocca get up from that, and it appears that The Outlaw feels the same way, as he has gone back to climbing the ladder. Bryan Harris: If he wants to beat Crazy Boy to the top, he’d better hurry! While Greyson Blade was dealing with Greg Allocca, Crazy Boy had begun to climb on the opposite side of the ladder. By this point, Crazy Boy is a little higher than Greyson Blade. When The Outlaw notices how high Crazy Boy has climbed, he picks up the pace and meets him atop the ladder. Crazy Boy sends a right hand down onto Greyson’s head, then tries to follow it up with another one, but Greyson blocks it and climbs a little higher. Crazy Boy lands another punch, but as he goes for another quick one, he again gets blocked by The Outlaw, who now counters with a right hand of his own. Crazy Boy tries another punch, and again he gets blocked, Greyson rocking him backwards a bit before taking another step up, now a bit higher than Crazy Boy. Alan Ducard: Both men struggling to keep their balance… it could come down to whichever one of them is the steadiest atop that ladder. Bryan Harris: I think I spot a wildcard about to make his impact! In one of the corners, Eli Storm starts climbing the turnbuckle from the apron, looking to get to the top rope. Crazy Boy lands a chop on Greyson Blade which makes it look like The Outlaw is going to lose his balance, but instead Greyson ducks down a bit, puts both hands on Crazy Boy’s chest and pushes forwards, knocking Crazy Boy down off the ladder. As he hits the mat, he falls forwards and hits the ropes, jarring them enough to knock Eli Storm off the top turnbuckle. Jimmy Yates: Greyson’s at the top of the ladder all alone! It’s his match to win!! Bryan Harris: Mirage is back in the ring, and he’s climbing up that ladder behind Greyson, I think he might have something to say about it! Reaching up, Mirage grabs on to one of Greyson Blade’s boots as The Outlaw reaches up and tries to grab the contract. Turning his attention downwards, Greyson rips his foot out of Mirage’s grasp, putting it on the top rung of the other side of the ladder, then moving his other foot to the top rung on the side he had been climbing. Extending his arms to the fullest extent, Greyson Blade grabs on to the suitcase and starts undoing it. Alan Ducard: Greyson is out of Mirage’s grasp, it looks like he has given up on trying to climb the ladder, and now he’s shaking it!! Jimmy Yates: The ladder is about to fall… but it doesn’t matter! Mirage’s too late! Greyson Blade has the suitcase!! Mirage successfully tips the ladder over, but as it falls, Greyson Blade hops off, landing a little awkwardly on the mat, but he still has the briefcase clutched in his arms. Two of the referees outside the ring run over and signal for the bell. Josephina Colbert: The winner of this match… THE OUTLAW… GRRRREYSON… BLLLLADE!!! Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw does it! Bryan Harris: Damn it... He just keeps giving these people more and more reason to cheer for him, and I keep looking for reasons to get them to shut the hell up. Alan Ducard: The next time someone speaks with Greyson Blade, it will be interesting to see which of the two championships he decides to use his title shot on... beit the No Limits Title or the Tao of Valor Championship. Jimmy Yates: Initially my guess would be the No Limits Title, but seeing as how the Tao of Valor title offers a chance to get a guaranteed World Title shot, I'd have to think that he's giving that some serious consideration. Perfect Enemies
A black feed. White noise. Then we pick up the soft undercurrent of a song under the static. "Passive" by A Perfect Circle. “Dead as dead can be,” my doctor tells me Entragian lies on the mat. Blood drips down from his forehead in a slow flood. I'm sure of your ability to become my perfect enemy Just then the monster does a zombie sit-up and turns his head to face the camera, smiling that cannibalistic smile despite the blood flowing into his eyes. Someday I will walk away and say, “You disappoint
me,” Cronos warming up in the back. Zoom out from the crosses on his tights as he throws some hands into the air, preparing for the coming war. Leaning over you here, cold and catatonic Flash to Entragian smashing a boot into the back of Cronos's neck. They brawl outside the ring. As Cronos falls Issac glares down at him,his gaze purely diabolical. He leans over him, seeming almost to look into his soul. It's your right and your ability The two men lock eyes backstage and get up into each other's face. Cronos rears back and slams a spaded king card onto the No Limits Title. Wake up (we'll catch you) Action shots. Entragian smashing fists into a victim. The albino smashing an opponent out of mid-air with a chairshot. Then we see the champion hit the ropes and come off of them smashing a sheet of glass into the face of a fellow giant. Issac picking up a superstar and crushing him into his knee with The Disemboweler. Maybe you're better off this way Cronos forces an opponent into the corner and slams his fists against him over and over again. He hits a clothesline that turns someone inside out. We then seeing him rearing back onto a pair of arms, putting a ton of torque into the Ne-Han. Next comes Countdown to Extinction, Diamante rushing force with a flurry of kicks and then powering a victim up and driving him into the canvas with a crucifix powerbomb. Go ahead and play dead (go) Entragian and Cronos outside the ring brawling like men possessed.
Cronos with a right. Issac with a The screen begins to fade out on the face-off. Cronos and Issac staring holes into each other. Like two bulls about to charge, the rage boils within them. Passive aggressive bullshit. Backstage
The cameras head into the depths of the area around a few corners working its way back towards the locker room area and we find Avery George (affectionately known as “Intern Avery”) waiting near one of the dressing room doors with a microphone in his hand. He’s obviously looking to do an interview as he looks intently at the door. Avery waits for a few moments, and finally there’s some “action” as the door of the dressing room comes open and out steps The Outlaw Greyson Blade, winner of the earlier opportunity ladder match. He’s still wearing the same jeans he wrestled in, and because he gave away the shirt he was given, he has now been given one of the new black and gold LEGACY Hoodies. He turns the corner and spots Avery and he gives a big of a chuckle, knowing what’s coming, and decides to cut the kid a break rather than playing the “wrestler acts like hard ass to interviewer for a cheap pop” game. Avery: Greyson … Greyson … a couple of questions? The Outlaw: I guess you’re LEGACY’s permanent choice to interview me? Avery: Well, you did save my ass against Matt Towers, I guess the higher ups feel you probably won’t decide to abuse me, judge my sexuality, or leave me face down in a toilet in “swirlie” position with an “atomic wedgie” because I’m not cool. The Outlaw: Yeah, yeah, just because it’s true we don’t have to spread the word. I have a reputation as a edgy, loner, hard-ass to maintain, so let’s make with the questions, shall we? Avery: Sure, I’ll start with the rather “unexpected” development of that “mysterious voice” seemingly talking trash on you and calling you out before the opportunity ladder match tonight. Do you have any idea of who was saying it or why it was being said? The runs a hand over his jaw in thought for a moment, and finally he shakes his head. The Outlaw: Honestly Avery I have absolutely no idea who it was or why they decided to start lobbing bullshit grenades at me from the PA system. I’ll admit I have a long history in this business and I’ve beaten many men and done a lot of things that realistically would have those individuals highly pissed off even to this day, but let me tell you something. If that person really wants to have his day of revenge on The Outlaw, he knows I’m not hard to find. I’ll step into the ring with anyone at any time. If they have the balls to stop talking and start fighting I’ll be happy to put a beating on them once more. The Outlaw’s voice is calm and direct without a real hint of anger, and most importantly his tone is filled with confidence, as if tonight’s victory went a long way in his own mind to re-establishing his path in LEGACY. Avery: Speaking of fighting you have won the chance at either a No Limits Title match or a Tao of Valor Title shot. What exactly are you going to do with this opportunity? The Outlaw nods to the question and stares intently into the camera filming the interview. The Outlaw: It’s a good question Avery, and believe me after winning that match I sat in that locker room mulling it over, because I could have a shot at the Tao of Valor Title, and the prospects of a match with John Thomas or X-Calibur is very, very intriguing to me. I mean think about it? Who wouldn’t pay to see me beat down that punk Thomas, or step into the ring against X-Calibur? That could be a dream match for the fans. However, when I came back to LEGACY I said I had two goals. One was to get back the LEGACY World Title, and the other was to re-establish that hardcore mentality, that killer instinct, and I needed the No Limits Division to do it, and for that reason, let’s just say I’m going to be watching the match between Cronos Diamante and Issac Entragian very closely. Greyson pauses ever so briefly. The Outlaw: And to whomever wins that match? You think what you just went through was a challenge? You haven’t seen anything yet. Case Closed. With that Greyson tosses the microphone back to Avery and heads down the hall to get some food and check out the rest of the night’s action. No Limits Title Match
Cronos Diamante vs Issac Entragian © Josephina Colbert: The following match is schedule for one fall, and it is for LEGACY’s No Limits Championship! Brilliant green spots begin circling the entrance way and ramp as a man dressed in a dreary black suit with complimenting vivid green undershirt walks out from the locker room. He sports a walking cane with a skull atop and an expensive looking wooden mask. The intricate design of the crimson red devil mask is intimidating to the eye. Alan Ducard: Who is that and what’s with the devil mask? That can’t be Cronos. Jimmy Yates: That’s because it’s not. It’s his buddy Voodoo and whatever he’s doing right now is freaking me out. Voodoo looks out to the crowd and points his cane in different directions. Suddenly he falls to one knee and points toward the entrance way with both his free hand and cane cueing the trademark holy music to “Blow Me Away” by Breaking Benjamin. Voodoo begins lifting his hands in a summoning motion as smoke begins to rise from the entrance way. Josephina Colbert: Making his way down
the aisle is the challenger...hailing from The Bronx, New York... weighing
in at 290lbs... CRONOS DIAMANTE! The second gong goes off and the “Honor Above All” logo underlines the bloodied swords. The summoning motions made by Voodoo become more intense and in the entrance way a body begins to rise from below the smoke as if it were being summoned from the depths of hell. Once the body figure has risen fully, the heavy guitar riff practically blows out the public address system. A devil screams across the tron breathing fire on the Spaded King and the Honor Above All. As the King’s crown is engulfed in flames and Honor Above All trademark burns from the middle to top, Cronos Diamante walks out from the entrance way and begins his slow descent to the ring with Voodoo in tow interacting with the crowd, slapping a few hands and stalking about with his devil mask. Cronos on the other hand is serious, focused and emotionless. Bryan Harris: If you want to make an entrance, that’s definitely the way to do it. I like this new attitude adjustment from Cronos, but… Jimmy Yates: You’ve got to be kidding me. The man sold his soul to become something he swore he never would be again. The honorable Cronos could beat Issac in the ring. He doesn’t need this attitude or this… Cronos climbs the steel steps as Voodoo passes by the announcers booth still stalking about with his devil mask and making motions with his cane to the crowd. Jimmy Yates: …freak show. Bryan Harris: The honorable Cronos couldn’t beat Issac in the ring last week when he had the chance. He was pummeled. I like this change in him and it could have possibly beaten him but it’s too late for this attitude to change anything, Jimmy. Alan Ducard: I like his chances either way. If this is a freak show, mate… I like it and I’m bloody interested in what role Voodoo’s presence at ringside will play. Voodoo is reminding me of a demented Scott Hall. Jimmy Yates: I guess that makes Cronos the Kevin Nash of the two? What is this? The Demented Outsiders? Bryan Harris: Exactly. Voodoo finds a twelve year old boy wearing a Honor Above All shirt and takes his mask off, ruffles the boys hair and slides the mask on the young fan. He goes absolutely nuts and the only emotion Cronos has shown thus far comes out in a half-smile at his young fan. He quickly flips the cerebral warrior switch back on and nods at Voodoo. Blue Oyster Cult's classic single "Don't Fear The Reaper" begins to blare out from the arena speakers, and Voodoo and Cronos quickly look towards the entrance area for the champion. Alan Ducard: And here comes the champion! Josephina Colbert: And his opponent... from Parts Unknown... weighing in at 312lbs... he is the current reigning No... Limits... Champion... ISSAC... ENTRAGIAN! The albino monster known as Issac Entragian steps out from behind the curtain, with Elizabeth Gaunt hot on his heels. He's wearing tattered jeans and a jean jacket over his bare chest. The pale plague stops at the top of the ramp, gazing out at the crowd. Suddenly he opens his mouth to display his cannibalized teeth, while at the same time flicking his forked tongue towards the fans. Jimmy Yates: I’m still in disbelief over the way this guy disfigures himself. What a NUT. Boos rain down upon him for his twisted nature, while a select few cheer on the freak. Issac strides the rest of the way down the and climbs up onto the apron, stepping over the top rope while glaring holes through Diamante. Bryan Harris: Now that’s true love. Then again, Voodoo and Cronos might know a thing or two about that as well. Alan Ducard: Please, Bryan! Show some couth! It’s a bloody PPV! Liz pats her man on the chest and rolls out under the bottom rope while offering Voodoo a spiteful glance on the outside. Meanwhile Entragian steps into the middle of the ring and swings his No Limits Title up into one hand, displaying it for Cronos to see. His mouth continues to form words as he talks smack and points one thumb towards his chest to convey that he's the champion and the top of the food chain. The bell sounds and both men circle around each other for a few moments, both showing amazing patience to actually get the fight started. After the fans beg for it, Cronos and Isaac lock horns in a collar and elbow tie-up. Surprisingly, Cronos takes the advantage and over-powers Issac into the corner. Digging his feet into the ground as deeply as he can, Cronos uses all of his upper-body strength to hold Issac’s large frame in the corner. Issac smiles at Cronos, almost like he’s enjoying the amount of strength Cronos is displaying, when the referee begins a five-count to break the collar and elbow tie-up. At two however, Cronos reaches back and NAILS Issac across the jaw with a blatant closed-fist. The fans erupt and Cronos steps back, shrugging his shoulders at the champion. Bryan Harris: Closed fist! What the hell?! Alan Ducard: No Limites, Bryan. Anything goes. Jimmy Yates: Looks like Cronos came to dance, tonight. I’m surprised he was able to over-power the seven-footer. Alan Ducard: Actually, I’m not... Cronos may be giving up nine inches in height, but he’s only giving up 22lbs in weight. Issac kicks the bottom rope, obviously upset that Cronos was able to make the first strike in the match. Looking out at Elizabeth, Issac shakes his head and then stalks out of the corner, en route to Cronos. Cronos is ready for the big man though, and reacts with some stiff leg kicks that cause Issac to step back a little bit. Retracting a bit, Cronos takes the advantage and steps in closer to Isaac where he drives forward with a shoulder to the mid-section. Issac doubles over, but keeps his balance and maintains his position in the ring while Cronos tries to move him forward. Issac reaches up and slams both fists down across the spine of Cronos, which drops the challenger to one knee. Issac laughs at Cronos, sets him up for a powerbomb, but Cronos manages to hang on to a leg. After two attempts at the powerbomb, Issac goes for another double axe-handle to the spine. Cronos senses it coming though and whips around Issac with a waist-lock. Isaac tries to pry Cronos’ fingers apart, but Cronos manages to lift up in a backwards falling motion and slam Issac hard down to the canvas with a bridging German suplex. The referee slides into position for the count! One! Issac gets a shoulder up and the fans all cry out as they thought Cronos won this one early. Alan Ducard: Impressive display of strength by Cronos! Bryan Harris: I’m surprised he didn’t herniate a disc trying that move. Senior citizens shouldn’t be trying to lift three-hundred plus pounders. Jimmy Yates: Cronos may be up there in age, but he isn’t THAT old... Cronos is up on the mat, and brings Isaac to his feet by the hair of his head. Momentarily measuring up the Albino Warrior, Cronos reaches back and then connects with a methodical close fisted shot to the forehead. Issac reels back from the impact of the full knuckled shot, and Cronos measures up Issac again. Connecting for a second time in a row, Issac actually steps back from Cronos, trying to shake the cobwebs that Cronos’ stiff and systematic punches are giving him. For a third time, Cronos connects to the forehead of Issac, which sends him leaning back into the rope. Finally having enough of Cronos’ powerful punching, Issac screams at the top of his lungs and swings an arm forehead that LEVELS Cronos down onto the mat! Jimmy Yates: That was brutal! Issac drops a big leg down across the throat of Diamante, and then turns around to choke the living daylights out of him. The referee lightly admonishes, as there really is nothing he can do in a No Limits title match. Alan Ducard: Issac is abusing the no limits rule right now with this blatant choking... Cronos gasps for air, and his legs start flopping around as Issac puts all of his body weight on top of his hands in an effort to crush Cronos’ throat. Bryan Harris: He’s the no limits champion! Of COURSE he’s going to abuse the no limits rules, Alan! Alan Ducard: Come on ref! He’s gonna suffocate him in there! Finally, Issac lets go of Cronos who has almost turned blue in the face... but not for long. Issac straddles Cronos and goes right back to choking Cronos with both hands. Cronos shoulders go down on the mat and the referee is right there. One! Cronos gets a shoulder up. Issac seethes through the cracks of his filed teeth and saliva falls down into cronos’ eyes. Cronos desperately tries to find a way out but his shoulders are trapped again. One! Two! Cronos barely gets a shoulder up! Alan Ducard: This is hard to watch... Bryan Harris: Choke ‘im, Issac! Choke ‘im! One! Two! Cronos manages to get a shoulder up again, and after some more admonishing, Issac lets go of the choke hold and stands back up. Showing signs of frustration, Issac kicks the bottom rope again and looks down at Cronos who is coughing and hacking on the mat. Grabbing Cronos by the hair, he brings him to his feet. Then, hooking behind Cronos with a belly to back suplex, Issac lifts Cronos in the air. Instead of dropping back though, he holds him there in a torture rack! Jimmy Yates: Good move, Cronos has nowhere to go here! Bryan Harris: He’s gonna give up! Alan Ducard: Look at the torque on Cronos back and neck... Issac is a man possessed. Wrenching and tearing apart Cronos’ ligaments, Issac walks to the corner post with the maneuver still applied. Then, in one swift moment, Isaac tosses Cronos forward, from on his back to slightly catching Cronos by the back of the neck on the cable connector between the ring and the post. Cronos’ body flops down to the side of the ring like a rag doll as Issac raises both hands high in the air to a chorus of boos! Alan Ducard: Issac is in this thing to MAIM! Crowd: “That-was-sick! That-was-sick!” Bryan Harris: It’s all over now! Not wasting much more time, Issac climbs to the outside where Cronos is lying still, stomach first, with his hand on the back of his neck. Issac reaches down and gets Cronos up to his feet. Scooping Cronos up, Issac then darts forward, dropping Cronos down throat first against the unforgiving guard rail much to the dismay of the ringside fans. Jimmy Yates: Have you noticed a pattern here?! Issac is literally destroying the neck region of Cronos Diamante! Between the choking, that torture rack throw to the post, and now the guard rail... Alan Ducard: Indeed, Jimmy. Cronos’ neck bone has got to be hanging on by a mere THREAD. With Cronos choking and spurting at the mouth yet again, Issac stalks his way towards Josephina Colbert. Elizabeth Gaunt and Voodoo are already right near Josephina, and as Issac gets closer and closer to Liz, she receives a nod as if Isaac was telling her something. Then, out of nowhere, Liz grabs the chair underneath Josephina, pulls upwards and dumps her completely off of it onto her keister. Voodoo simply looks ahead at Isaac as Liz hands him the steel chair, watching her man hold it up high into the air for the audience watching both live and on Pay-Per-View. Issac shoots Voodoo a stare and then turns his attention back on his opponent for the evening. Alan Ducard: This doesn’t look good for Cronos... we all know how sadistic Issac can get when weapons come into play. Bryan Harris: We’ve already seen a plethora of weapons come into play tonight from the GRUELING unsanctioned Warehouse match and then the equally tolling Opportunity Ladder match... so I reckon Issac could have gotten a few ideas for himself here. Jimmy Yates: I was thinking the very same thing, Bryan. Bryan Harris: Yeah, but who said it, third wheel? Cronos finally manages to get on his own feet, holding the back of his neck with one hand and his windpipe with the other. Leaning back against the guard rail, he sees Issac measuring him up for a running chair shot, and gets a boot up just in time. Isaac reels back, and from behind Voodoo slowly stalks up behind him. Liz screams for Issac to turn around as Voodoo is mere inches away from Issac. Issac finally hears Liz screaming at him, turns around, and steps back a foot after being surprised by Voodoo’s presence. Voodoo simply stands still, smiling at Issac, when Cronos uses the distraction to climb up onto the ring apron. Cronos walks up to the side of Issac, bends at the knees and hooks his arm around Issac’s head, then DROPS off of the ring apron with a vicious reverse DDT all the way to the outside mat! Bryan Harris: Damn that Voodoo... he set that one up! Why is he even out here?! He’s not even a member of LEGACY! Alan Ducard: From what I understand, Cronos has specifically asked for Voodoo to accompany him here tonight. Jimmy Yates: That dropping reverse DDT was perfect for Cronos, as the height differential between the two would probably prevent such a move in normal circumstances. Cronos is up off the outside mat, and nods at Voodoo who then walks back to the time keeper’s area. Looking down at Issac, Cronos slowly and methodically pulls Issac to a sitting position, where he then CRACKS him in the back with a kick to the spine. Issac cries out in pain, and Cronos hops back up onto the ring apron and walks back towards the post. Turning around, he measures up the champion, and in one beautiful sequence, Cronos runs, flips forward off the apron, catches Issac’s head in the sitting position, and ferociously snaps it down towards the outside mat! Alan Ducad: Effin’ hell! Off the apron?! That was beautiful! Jimmy Yates: Modification to a move often done by the late great Curt Hennig. What a MOVE. Bryan Harris: That was pretty stupid on Cronos’ part, because he landed very hard on little padding. Not to mention, his neck caught the edge of the steel chair that Issac had dropped after the reverse DDT. Cronos rolls around on the mat, holding the back of his neck after that bad landing from the somersault snapper. After a few moments, he manages to get himself to his feet and then uses great strength to try and get Issac to his. Rolling Issac forward a bit so half of his upper torso is in the ring, Cronos then grabs the steel chair Issac had dropped moments before and then crawls back into the ring himself. Measuring up Issac like a General of cerebral warfare, Cronos stands just to the side of him until Issac gets to both feet. From there, Cronos bolts into the opposite ring ropes, gaining momentum on the rope recoil. But just as Cronos extends both hands forward for the running chair shot, Issac saw it coming, jumps into the air, and NAILS a forward pushing bicycle kick square into the Cronos’ jaw. Cronos goes down in a heap, and Issac falls on top of him with the referee ready to make the count. Alan Ducard: What a devastating bicycle kick! Bryan Harris: This is it! Jimmy Yates: He may have him here... One! Two! Thr- Cronos gets a shoulder up! Jimmy Yates: That one was CLOSE. Issac promptly stands up off the mat, and grabs the steel chair. Looking almost enraged that Cronos has managed to ground Issac’s violent nature, he looks down at Cronos who is on his belly and then at the steel chair. Soon, he just begins unloading on Cronos. One shot after another square to the back, shoulder, and head. Sickening thuds resound across San Antonio, as one shot gets louder than the next. Bryan Harris: Issac isn’t playing around anymore... you’ve just witnessed the “transformation”! Alan Ducard: This isn’t good for Issac. After about a dozen shots in a row, Issac screams with rage and throws the chair across the ring. Grabbing cronos by one of his feet, he easily drags the self-proclaimed “Devil” across the mat to the center of the ring. Dropping down, he hooks a leg. One! Two! NO! Cronos refuses to stay his shoulders down on the mat, and Issac can’t believe it! Crowd: “Let’s go-Crow-Nose!” *clap-clap-clap-clap-clap* “Let’s go-Crow-Nose!” *clap-clap-clap-clap-clap* Blood starts dripping down Cronos’ forehead, masking his face with crimson red, and the crowd cries out with surprise. Alan Ducard: Oh no... Bryan Harris: You know what? The Devil looks good in red! Like a shark smelling the blood of his prey, Issac grabs Cronos by his hair and brings him to his feet... but Cronos is on spaghetti legs. Issac head-butts Cronos in the gash on his forehead, further opening the wound. Another head-butt sends Cronos to the mat, and Issac walks across the ring to where the chair he had just thrown was laying. Cronos tries to use the ropes to get to his feet with blood pouring out of his face and dripping to the canvas below. Issac, watching his counterpart struggle to stand up, points to the top rope and smiles widely. Stepping over the top rope, Isaac awkwardly climbs to the second rope and looks out at the audience with the steel chair held high in the air. Cronos gets to his knees, holding the middle rope for leverage as blood
continues to ooze out of him. Issac then climbs all the way to the top
rope, stepping back on the post with his right foot to balance out his
gigantic frame. Continuing to hold the steel chair high in the air,
Cronos slowly gets to his feet, using the top rope as leverage. He turns
around, but much to the surprise of the watching audience, Cronos sprints
towards the turnbuckle, and out of nowhere, he jumps to the second rope
and wraps his arms around the waist of Issac which causes him to drop
the steel chair into the ring. As flashes explode through out the arena,
Cronos HEAVES Issac backwards, all the way down to the middle of the
canvas with a crushing top rope release belly-to-belly suplex on the
seven foot monster! Bryan Harris: OH MY GOD! Jimmy Yates: SWEET JESUS! Crowd: “Ho-ly shit! Ho-ly shit! Ho-ly shit!” Bleeding profusely, Cronos falls to the mat. With both men down, the referee begins a ten count, but it only lasts to three as Cronos forces himself to stand up with help from the ropes. Cronos looks at the crowd all cheering him on, almost with a surreal look on his face, and then looks back at Issac Entragian laid out in the middle of the ring. This time, it was Cronos Diamante point up to the skies. Bryan Harris: He’s not serious. Jimmy Yates: I think he just might be. Cronos steps out between the ropes, and slowly climbs up to the top turnbuckle, blood continuously flowing down his face. With Issac a good distance away from Cronos standing on the top turnbuckle, the fans all stand on their feet, expecting the unexpected. Alan Ducard: Cronos is very serious! He’s been training with that Voodoo chap, who, from my understanding, used to be quite the high flyer! Jimmy Yates: What is he going for?! A corkscrew?! A shooting star press?! Bryan Harris: Be realistic, Jimmy. Three-hundred pound fifty year olds don’t go for corkscrews! After more flash bulbs exploding, Cronos leaps off of the top rope and nails a frog splash on Issac! Alan Ducard: Bloody hell!!! A frog splash!!! One! Jimmy Yates: It’s over! Two! Three! No! Issac gets a shoulder up just before the three! The referee looks to the time keeper and signals “TWO”!! Bryan Harris: NO! ISSAC KICKED OUT! ISSAC KICKED OUT! Jimmy Yates: I thought this one was finished! Alan Ducard: Very close call there... I thought we had a new No Limits Champion! Cronos is a bleeding mess and has rolled over onto his back, while Issac is almost unconscious, having rolled over onto his stomach. The fans are all buzzing after witnessing the spectacular flight of the 290lbs challenger, and the referee begins counting both men down and out. But, again, Cronos refuses to stay down and pushed himself to get up at the double count of four. Crowd: “Let’s go-Crow-Nose!” *clap-clap-clap-clap-clap* “Let’s go-Crow-Nose!” *clap-clap-clap-clap-clap* Alan Ducard: Gut check time for Cronos. Bryan Harris: Cronos better be careful... I’m not sure how much more excitement his old ticker can take. Jimmy Yates: Whether you love him or hate him... Cronos is one hell of a competitor, and has come so close to winning that belt in this match. Cronos walks over towards the very turnbuckle that he just flew from to pick up the steel chair that issac dropped after being suplexed. Issac gets to his knees, and Cronos bull rushes at the champion. Issac saw him coming though and uses Cronos’ momentum to lift him up in the air, and DRIVE him back down to canvas with a devastating spinebuster. Issac immediately hooks a leg and the referee makes the count. One! Two! Thr- NO! Cronos barely gets a shoulder up, and Voodoo starts clapping on the outside. Issac grabs the steel chair that has been a major factor in the match thus far and decides to set it up right beside the bloody Diamante. Lifting him up to his feet, Issac grabs underneath the back of his leg and looks for a gut buster. Alan Ducard:: This is it! The Disembowler! Bryan Harris: Issac hits this, Cronos is done... maybe dead altogether. Cronos throws some elbows out of desperation and connects with Issac’s jaw. It’s not enough for Issac to break the gutbuster attempt though and he lifts Cronos off of his feet. Cronos throws some more elbows though, and this time Issac lets go of Cronos. Cronos stands up, and Issac holds his jaw from the hard elbows Cronos has thrown. Turning around, he is met by a wild clothesline, which misses him by inches when he ducks it. Issac retaliates with a wild lunging arm of his own, but Cronos ducks, and catches Issac’s other arm after his momentum spun him completely around. Cronos then tries to pull Issac towards the ground with a backslide, but Issac’s pure strength blocked the attempt. Alan Ducard: He blocked it! Cronos is still in this thing... In classic see-saw form, Issac attempts to drive Cronos head first into the steel chair that is set up in front of him, but Cronos digs his feet into the mat and blocks Issac’s attempt at a reversal. Both men struggle with great power in the middle of the ring, trying to get the other one over in a backslide. Issac pushes to the side, eventually turning position of both competitors 180 degrees. Cronos screams with anger, blood flowing down his face and onto the chair’s seat in front of him, and makes another attempt at a backslide. This time, he actually lifts Issac’s feet completely off the ground with his body balancing on his back. Bryan Harris: Holy crap!!!! With a great display of intestinal fortitude, Cronos positions Issac’s arms up over his head and then pushes upwards, setting him up for a crucifix powerbomb. Jimmy Yates: The Countdown to Extinction has begun! Cronos’ arms shake from the weight of Issac, until he finally just drops Issac neck first onto the steel chair, CRUSHING the seat completely against the mat. Cronos grabs both of Issac’s legs and flips forward with a pinning maneuver. Alan Ducard: He got it!!! One! Two! THREE!!! Bryan Harris: I DON’T BELIEVE IT! Jimmy Yates: NEW CHAMPION! NEW CHAMPION! The crowd ERUPTS as the referee’s hand slaps the mat a third time, and the bell immediately rings through out San Antonio. Cronos lets go of Issac’s legs which fall back towards the canvas. Cronos just lays there on top of Issac an absolute bloody mess while Voodoo, his mentor and trainer, wastes no time climbing up onto the apron, clapping out of respect for Cronos’ victory and title win. Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen... the winner of this match... The fans wait for it. Josephina Colbert: ... and NEW...... NO.... LIMITS..... CHAMPION... The fans erupt again, almost drowning out Josephina’s announcement. Josephina Colbert: ... CRONOS.... DIAMANTE!!!!!!! Alan Ducard: Unbelievable! Cronos did it! He dethroned Issac! Jimmy Yates: It’s about time Cronos won a big one in LEGACY. Bryan Harris: Yeah it only took about two years... The sound of Breaking Benjamin’s “Blow Me Away” plays through the sound system, and the referee has the No Limits Championship in his hand. Elizabeth Gaunt meanwhile has climbed into the ring and started caressing her unconscious man’s face, pulling hard at the flattened steel chair underneath Issac’s head. The referee hands the No Limits Championship to Voodoo, who then drapes the title across Cronos’ chest like a battle sash. Voodoo looks down at Cronos and extends his hand, where Cronos remains unmoving with his eyes closed, just taking in this special moment. Finally, Cronos extended his arm back and Voodoo helped him to his feet. Then, in front of the thousands in attendance, Voodoo raises Cronos’ arm high in the air and points to him while Cronos has his other arm raised by the referee. Alan Ducard: Good job, Cronos. You deserve it. Bryan Harris: I won’t deny it... that was an incredible performance from the old dinosaur. But don’t think Issac will take this lying down. Issac will be back after that title in no time and his vengeance will be swift and just. Jimmy Yates: We’ll have to see about that I guess. Right now though, there’s a new No Limits Champion... and his name is Cronos Diamante. The lights start to flicker and words start to run across the tron screen again. There aren't 24 hours… you only have 15 minutes. The jumbotron flickers a few times and then the lights come back on around the arena. Bryan Harris: I don't know what the hell is going on around here, but I think the arena manager needs to pay the electric bill or hire an electrician. Backstage
The scene is the entrance of the arena as we see Allison Moreno carrying
her little girl, Jade, in one arm and her purse in the other hand, looking
to be flustered as she's looking around for someone when suddenly, a
backstage security guard spots her and walks toward her decked out in
uniform as she spots him and looks a bit nervously at him. The security
guard looks at her again and begins to speak. |
