"Believe"

We open to deserted streets. No traffic. No Pedestrians. Its surreal. Suddenly a lone child on a black razor scooter whips by us at a frentic speed. We zoom after him. From every house we hear a call and answer chant very familiar to Penn State fans:

Crowd: "WE - ARE"

Crowd: "LE-GA-SEE"

The boy ditches his scooter and runs up the steps to his home. The chant continues

Crowd: "We - ARE"

Crowd: "LE-GA-SEE"

He dashes into his house and gets to the television room where his family is gathered around the television. Excited. Glued to their set.

Family: "WE - ARE"

Crowd: "LE-GA-SEE"

FLASH to a shot of X-Calibur walking down subway steps.

FLASH - Isaac Entragian entering a car his No Limits Title on his shoulder

FLASH - Diabolik sitting at a bus stop waiting to catch a ride to the show. Tag titles on their waists.

FLASH - Loco Martinez on the back of a flat bed truck with the Legacy World title inside his trophy case, Arch Angel and T.Rex flank the case. Loco leans against it cockily.

Crowd: "WE - ARE"

Crowd: "LE-GA-SEE"

Crowd: "WE - ARE"

Crowd: "LE-GA-SEE"

Behind the chant we hear the opening to the Bravery's "Believe".

"So give me something to believe"

The entirity of the Legacy roster stands there. Waiting. Hungry.

TONIGHT'S LINEUP

The show opens on a shot of Mark Perletta, Landon Savage and Alan Ducard sitting behind a desk that resembles what you would see anchors sit behind in the studio of a sports news program such as Sports Center. Behind them is an elaborate backdrop which includes several flatscreen monitors, each of them showing the same view we're seeing right now of the recap trio. As the camera zooms in, the screens fade into a shot of the yellow golden LEGACY logo.

Mark Perletta: Good evening everyone and welcome to LEGACY's SuperCard STRIFE 27. Tonight, on the last show for me as part of the regular announce team we've got more than a handful of great matches, including a World Title Match, a Number One Contender Match for each of the World and No Limits Titles, and an Ultimate X Match with the Tao of Valor Championship on the line.

Alan Ducard: I can't imagine a better night of action to end your spree of free television commentary than what we had here for you this very evening.

Mark Perletta: I'd have to agree, and tonight's show certainly had some of the best action out of any of the episodes we've had of STRIFE.

Landon Savage: We're about halfway to the pay per view, and after seeing how many big matches we've had already on our first two shows, I can only imagine what a big lineup we're going to have at the pay per view.

Alan Ducard: After tonight's show we'll at the very least know what the main event will be.

Mark Perletta: Very true indeed, but at this point there's no indication who will comprise the announce team for that pay per view event. One would assume that Alan, you will be part of the broadcast. There's a chance I could be called in to do commentary on it...

Landon Savage: And I guess this is the perfect opportunity for me to announce that after tonight's show I won't be a regular fixture on this commentary team. That's right, the front office has decided that they need a second "go to" person backstage during shows and in meetings where official business is being discussed, and of course Rob Belote chose me to aid Smith Cartwright in those duties.

Alan Ducard: He is a busy man every time LEGACY has a show, Smith Cartwright is. It's good to see that they're finally giving him some extra assistance, though I am sorry to say that you have to leave our team in order to ease Smith's burden.

Mark Perletta: Although I think the dynamic that the three of us bring to broadcasts is both entertaining and informative, I honestly believe that the two new members of the announce team are going to add an interesting new element to shows.

Landon Savage: I'm not going to be so diplomatic. There's no way that the person sitting in this chair two weeks from now is going to add as much to this broadcast as I do, but I do know that whoever that person is, they will at least be as good as Joey C was.

Alan Ducard: With such a fantastic night of action yet to come, we'd be remiss in our duties to not let the show get started by furthering this conversation about commentary teams for future programs. Plenty coming up, so let's get to it.

Four Way Match
Alex Harmston. Mike Dexter.
Greg Allocca. Damien Black.

Mark Perletta: Tonight’s great line-up of matches gets started off with a four-way contest between a very versatile group of competitors.

Alan Ducard: One of the things I noticed when viewing tapes of the various LEGACY roster members, it occurred to me just how very diverse a group of individuals we have here, and this match certainly features an array.

Landon Savage: Yeah, there’s something for everyone. The dark and mysterious freaks can cheer for Damien Black, the misunderstood weirdos can cheer for Greg Allocca, the people who like to make up their own funny sounding personal fighting styles can cheer for Mike Dexter, and people who like… well to be honest I don’t know much about Alex Harmston, but somehow he seems to have fans too.

Mark Perletta: I’ll be quite honest, when there’s more than three competitors in a match, I start to lose track of what’s going on and it becomes hard to follow, but it’s almost always exciting to watch.

Alan Ducard: Which is probably why this match was chosen to begin the show, keeping with the trend of hot matches to warm up the crowds.

Landon Savage: Perletta, the fact that you openly admit to not being able to keep up with matches involving four men is probably a good reason why you shouldn’t be involved on the commentary team every week, because with a roster as big as LEGACY’s roster is growing, you’d be a liability.

Alan Ducard: I don’t think liability is a fair assessment, and besides, that’s why we have three members to the commentary team. It allows us to help ensure we catch all the action, just as I believe we did here tonight.

Mark Perletta: Well there are plenty of fans who desperately want to see what’s going to happen on tonight’s show, and so how about instead of discussing potential shortcomings of the announce team, let’s get down to the action for our first match of the evening.

Start : Footage from the Match

Grabbing Damien Black from behind, Alex Harmston takes Black down to the mat with a spin-around takedown. When Harmston gets back up to his feet, however, he’s drilled with a flying forearm shot from Greg Allocca.

Alan Ducard: That forearm blow to the temple seems to have stunned Harmston, dropping him down to a knee.

Mark Perletta: In a one-on-one match that could’ve been a good move to build upon, but it looks like Greg isn’t going to get that chance!

Before Allocca can follow up on Harmston, Greg is grabbed by the wrist and spun around by Mike Dexter and sent across the ring with an irish whip. Allocca springs off the ropes and he spots Dexter going for a back body drop a moment too soon, and so Greg flips up and over Dexter, grabbing him by the head and spinning around, pulling him backwards and down onto his knee into a back breaker.

Alan Ducard: Innovative move by Greg Allocca to keep from being put on the mat!

Mark Perletta: This time he gets the chance to follow up with some stomps right down into the middle of Dexter’s chest…

Landon Savage: But he’s not going to get to do anything further than that!

As Greg is focused on Dexter, Alex Harmston runs in and tackles Allocca from behind, driving him chest first into the corner. Putting Greg into a rear waistlock, Harmston sends his opponent into the middle of the ring with a release German suplex.

Mark Perletta: This could be bad for Greg Allocca if Alex Harmston can lock him in some kind of submission hold…

Alan Ducard: Harmston moves in… but it looks like he isn’t going to get the chance either!

Before Harmston can do anything further to Allocca, Damien Black steps in and hits Harmston with an uppercut that nearly stands Alex upright. Black takes him by the arm and whips him across the ring into the ropes, on the return Damien takes him down with a Yakuza kick. Black immediately drops to his knees, putting his hands around Harmston’s throat and he starts choking him.

Landon Savage: Finally someone realizes how crucial timing is and keeps in on their opponent right away!

Alan Ducard: This doesn’t fare well for Alexander, as the monster doesn’t appear to want to give up that choke anytime soon!

Mark Perletta: I think he’s about to be forced to!

Having returned to his feet a moment ago, Greg Allocca backed up a few steps, surveyed the ring, and spotted what was going on with Damien Black. He immediately runs in, hops up off the mat and connects with the back of Damien’s head using a Shining Wizard!

Alan Ducard: Damien Black hits the mat like a ton of bricks!!

Landon Savage: And Greg Allocca exits the ring right out onto the apron… he’s going up to that top rope. Let’s see if it pays off for him.

Measuring up Harmston as he gets to the top turnbuckle, Greg Allocca springs up into the air and begins twisting around, but as he falls towards the mat to complete his twisting corkscrew senton splash, he lands directly onto the canvas, as Mike Dexter dove in and pulled Harmston out of the way just in time to keep him from being hit with the high risk move.

Mark Perletta: Mike Dexter makes the save.

Alan Ducard: Very strategic on his part, as now he’s the only chap who’s still on his feet, and he’s not wasting any time.

Landon Savage: Of course not, he saw how difficult it was to follow things up with other people lurking around!

Taking Greg Allocca by the head, Mike Dexter lifts him up off the mat and then irish whips him into the near corner back first. Moving in with a quick back elbow shot to the head, Dexter rocks Allocca back, then Mike grabs Greg by the wrist and whips him across the ring into the far corner. At this point, Mike pulls his kneepads down to his ankles and rubs his kneecaps for a quick moment.

Alan Ducard: It’s almost as if Mike Dexter is pretending to polish his kneecaps…

Landon Savage: He’s probably about to go for that same move he used against Eli Storm on STRIFE 26, that double knee-strike in the corner, because this is how he set up for it.

Mark Perletta: I believe you’re right…

Charging in towards Greg Allocca, Mike Dexter gets halfway across the ring before he’s blindsided by Damien Black, who takes a few quick steps in and drives his shoulder into Dex’s chest, sending him flipping over backwards into one of the other corners.

Landon Savage: Damn that was a big impact from Damien Black! I don’t think Mike Dexter knows what hit him!

Alan Ducard: I would concur with that assessment, although I believe Mr. Black is about to follow it up and give Mr. Dexter a clue regarding who hit him.

As The Dexecutioner starts to get up off the mat, Damien Black comes in from behind, lifts him up to his feet and locks him into a hold with one arm around Mike’s head connecting with another arm that comes in around the arm on Dex’s opposite side. Wasting no time at all Damien Black proceeds to hit a head and arm suplex that drops Dex down onto the back of his neck. The crowd lets out an excited “OOOOHHH!!!” as they see the move. No sooner does Damien Black get to his feet and turns around than he is hit by Harmston, who dives in with a double forearm shot and not only sends Black backwards, but the impact sends him out of the ring through the ropes.

Mark Perletta: Damien Black sent to the outside, and he can’t win the match out there!

Landon Savage: The big man is getting back to his feet as quickly as possible…

Alan Ducard: It’s Chris Turner! Chris Turner! The formerly masked “Gigantus Awesomo” just jumped the security railing, and now he’s pummeling Damien Black with rights and lefts!

Landon Savage: This idiot is going to get himself suspended!

Mark Perletta: I don’t think he cares! I don’t think he was willing to wait until 2008 to get his hands on Damien Black again, and honestly, I thought this was going to happen!!

After having sent Black out of the ring, Harmston moves in and hits Greg Allocca with a hard right hand, then a knee to the gut, doubling him over. In a perfect position to lock in a move, Alex Harmston wraps his arm around Allocca’s neck, putting him in a guillotine choke. Trying to maximize his potential to keep the hold locked on, Harmston backs up a few steps and drops down to a knee, bringing Allocca down with him.

Landon Savage: If Harmston can keep this hold locked on a bit longer, I think Greg Allocca is going to be tapping!

Alan Ducard: Mike Dexter spots what’s going on, and it looks like he has a plan!

Backing up a step, Dex runs in and slams his shoulder right into Greg’s rib area, flipping both Allocca and Harmston over onto their side. Mike immediately grabs Allocca into a modified schoolboy by putting his arm around one of Allocca’s legs, hooks it into position and wrenches upwards into a pinning combination with Greg’s shoulders on the mat, his head still locked in the guillotine choke. The ref spots the pinning combination and makes the count…

One!

Two!

Three!!

The referee signals for the pinfall and raises Mike Dexter’s hand before he even gets to his feet.

Josephina Colbert: And here is your winner by pinfall… MIKE… DEXTER!!!

Letting go of Greg Allocca, Harmston looks up, shocked to see Dexter get his hand raised. As Mike exits the ring, Alex Harmston asks the referee what happened, and as he gets the details it’s obvious that Harmston is sickened by the outcome. As Chris Turner and Damien Black continue to battle on the outside, LEGACY officials run down the ramp and get in between the two men, the crowd enjoying the chaos. The scene then goes back to the recap position.

Mark Perletta: After all the chaos that went on during the match, I wasn't surprised to see things transpire between Damien Black and Chris Turner outside the ring, despite the threats of suspending Chris Turner we heard back at STRIFE 26.

Alan Ducard: I did, in fact, learn that after Turner and Black were escorted backstage, Chris Turner was notified that he has been suspended indefinitely from LEGACY for his actions.

Landon Savage: Hey, if that's how the front office wants things, then that's fine. Chris Turner knew the risks, he attacked Damien Black anyway, and now he's got to deal with the consequences.

Outlook

The scene cuts backstage where Kevin Oppenheimer exits his locker room, ready with his black trunks on, his Rolling Stones World Tour tshirt on his chest and a pair of dark sunglasses covering his eyes. As he heads towards the gorilla position he is approached by backstage interviewer Andrew Kelley.

Andrew Kelley: Kevin Oppenheimer, I thought I could get a few words with you about your match tonight with Matt Towers.

Oppenheimer slows his pace to allow the interviewer to keep up.

Kevin Oppenheimer: You mean the match I’m presently headed to the ring for?

Andrew nods.

Andrew Kelley: That’s the one. With all the damage Matt Towers has been doing to people since he showed up in LEGACY, are you worried about this match?

He shrugs.

Kevin Oppenheimer: I know what Matt Towers can do, but I’m not letting myself get intimidated by him. He’s bigger than me, he’s stronger than me, but you know what? I came here to fight, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Andrew Kelley: Whatever you do, be careful out there.

Something clicks inside Oppenheimer and he stops in his tracks, takes off his sunglasses and tucks them into the collar of his shirt.

Kevin Oppenheimer: I know what this business is all about. I know what could happen out there, but worried about getting hurt? Not a chance. I like to fight, I’m good at it, but there’s something else I like even more.

Kevin looks right into the camera.

Kevin Oppenheimer: I like to have fun.

Kevin looks back at Andrew.

Kevin Oppenheimer: Nothing is going to happen in that ring that’s going to keep me from being able to go out on the town the next couple of days and having fun. I won’t let it. Besides, he may look a bit like King Kong, but it's not like he's Godzilla.

After patting Andrew on the shoulder, Oppenheimer puts his sunglasses back on and heads towards the gorilla position.

Matt Towers vs Kevin Oppenheimer

Mark Perletta: After a great, fast paced opening contest, our second match of the night is something of a very different nature.

Alan Ducard: Both Oppenheimer and Towers have certainly shown that they are just as talented as any of the four individuals in the first match, but neither Matthew nor Kevin would be considered a “fast paced” competitor.

Landon Savage: They both rely on offensive moves that are based more around power and bruising their opponents, and that’s one of the things that LEGACY was missing for a while. You had Gryffin Anselm and Greyson Blade who fit that classification, but otherwise most of the guys who’ve been on this roster are the smaller, faster competitors.

Mark Perletta: The saying goes “it takes all kinds”, Landon, and even though I would call the current LEGACY roster a more “well rounded” roster, I don’t see anything wrong with the way the roster was a few months ago.

Alan Ducard: Indeed there wasn’t. Getting back to the match at hand, just as many people thought it would be, this contest was full of big hits. What some people didn’t expect, however, is that Kevin Oppenheimer would do as well as he did.

Landon Savage: After the way Matt Towers started his tenure in LEGACY beating people as convincingly as he did, a lot of people thought it was going to take a Herculean effort to beat him in a one on one match – myself being one of those people.

Mark Perletta: Ever since Towers lost his match to Issac Entragian for the No Limits Title, he’s had a different attitude to him.

Alan Ducard: We saw on STRIFE 26 that when Matt Towers showed up at the arena and was asked about his match from DESTINED FOR GREATNESS, he did not react kindly to it, attacking young Avery George, LEGACY Intern. Thank goodness for Greyson Blade being in the area backstage, and Avery didn’t sustain long term injury.

Mark Perletta: Kevin Oppenheimer has shown a lot of promise since his debut, especially in his match during the DESTINED FOR GREATNESS weekend when he almost got the upset in his match against Dan Stein.

Landon Savage: Some people would consider Dan Stein winning that match being the upset, but since that’s not a popular opinion, I won’t push the issue. Let’s just get to the footage of the match in progress.

Start : Footage from the Match

Having rocked the big man backwards a step with a hard right hand, Kevin Oppenheimer turns around and runs towards the ropes, coming off with extra momentum. Before Oppenheimer can reach his opponent, however, Towers takes a big step forward and sends a forearm into Kevin’s chest, knocking him backwards and down to the mat. Reaching down with his huge right hand, Matt Towers lifts Oppenheimer up off the mat, choking him on the way up. When Kevin is back on his feet, Towers grabs him and lifts him up high above his head.

Alan Ducard: Goodness, what a display of strength by Matt Towers, hoisting Kevin Oppenheimer up into a gorilla press!

Landon Savage: He’s about to show some more power, and Kevin’s not going to like it!

Taking a few steps towards the ropes, Towers launches Oppenheimer to the outside, sending him crashing down to the ground, his back hitting the security guardrail. After smirking about what he just did, Towers slowly steps over the top rope, out onto the apron, and then steps down to the arena floor. Grabbing Kevin by the head, Towers lifts his opponent up to his feet. Reaching up, Oppenheimer rakes Matt Towers’ eyes, then batters him with a forearm to the head. With the giant stunned, Oppenheimer gets up onto the apron as quickly as he can, then turns around and boots Towers in the head.

Alan Ducard: It appears young Kevin Oppenheimer not only loves to have fun, but he loves to play a bit of football as well!

Mark Perletta: Nice soccer style kick from Oppenheimer, and it looks like he rung Towers’ bell!

Landon Savage: Bell rung or not, Towers doesn’t look like he’s anywhere near done!

Kevin Oppenheimer gets back into the ring, slowly walking around, recovering from being thrown to the outside. Before he knows it, though, Towers is back up on the apron, stepping over the top rope. As soon as Matt Towers is back in the ring, Oppenheimer runs in and goes for a high dropkick, but Towers steps to the side and slams a clubbing blow downwards, swatting Kevin out of the air and sending him hard down to the mat.

Landon Savage: Well that didn’t work out too well for Kev…

Mark Perletta: I’d wager that definitely wasn’t what he was going for.

Reaching down, Towers puts both of his hands around Kevin’s throat and starts choking his opponent. The referee comes in and yells at Towers, then starts the count.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

FOUR!!

Towers reluctantly lets go of Oppenheimer, which gets the ref to stop his counts. At that point, Towers reaches down and again grabs Kevin by the throat, though this time he lifts him clear up off the mat, turns and throws Oppenheimer back first into the corner, Kevin’s back hitting the top turnbuckle.

Mark Perletta: Matt Towers basically wasting this opportunity, as the ref begins to admonish him for going back to the choke.

Landon Savage: The referee could yell at Towers, count to ten, and Oppenheimer would STILL be trying to recover from that choke.

Towers rolls his eyes as the referee yells at him, then slowly moves towards the corner where Oppenheimer sits on the top rope recuperating. Before Towers gets there, Kevin puts his feet onto the second rope and then dives forwards and takes Towers down to the mat. Both men get up off the mat, and Oppenheimer steps in and hits Towers with a European Uppercut.

Alan Ducard: Excellent uppercut by Oppenheimer.

Landon Savage: Don’t you mean European uppercut?

Alan Ducard: Umm…

Mark Perletta: Wait a minute, what’s Oppenheimer about to go for?

Grabbing Towers by the head, Oppenheimer tries to lift Towers up off the mat for a suplex. As the excited crowd looks on in astonishment, Kevin gets Towers’ legs up off the mat, but that’s as far as it gets, as Towers’ feet touch back down onto the mat.

Alan Ducard: I believe Kevin hurt his back a bit too badly when he was thrown out of the ring.

Landon Savage: Wait, you don’t think Oppenheimer would’ve actually been able to lift Towers up, do you?

Mark Perletta: He did get his legs up off the ground… I think if his back wasn’t in such poor shape from hitting the steel guardrail, he might’ve!

As Oppenheimer lets go of his opponent to stretch his back, Matt Towers stands back up and drills Kevin in the head with a headbutt, dropping him down to the mat. Reaching down, Towers lifts Kevin not only back up to his feet, but he then lifts him high up off the mat by this throat, turning… and SLAMMING him down onto the mat with the FALLING TOWERS!! Dropping to his knees, Towers puts his hand on Kevin’s chest and goes for the pinfall.

One…

Two…

Three.

The referee calls for the bell.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner by pinfall… Matt… Towers!

Mark Perletta: No sooner does the bell start ringing, and now Matt Towers has his hands around Kevin Oppenheimer’s throat!

Alan Ducard: Someone needs to get him to stop choking Oppenheimer!

The referee steps in and starts yelling at Matt Towers, but the giant won’t stop. Needing reinforcements, the referee signals to the back, and a half dozen group mixed between referees and road agents run down the ramp and get right into the ring, and they immediately start begging Towers to let Kevin go. Even as about seven people try to get him to stop, Matt ignores all of them. The referee from the match then turns and says something to the time keeper.

Josephina Colbert: The referee has decided to overturn his decision, awarding this match to Kevin Oppenheimer by disqualification!

Despite the ruling by the referee, the fans all over the arena continue booing. Even as Oppenheimer begins to turn blue, Towers continues to hold on the choke. Suddenly the booing turns to cheers and the camera looks over towards the entrance ramp where we see “The Outlaw” Greyson Blade coming down the ramp at a good pace.

Mark Perletta: Just like two weeks ago, if no one else can put a stop to what Matt Towers is doing, The Outlaw will!

Landon Savage: It looks like Matt Towers just saw the Outlaw coming, and he just let Oppenheimer go!

Alan Ducard: Greyson Blade not waiting at all, he gets right into the ring with the big man… and he’s not backing down!

Mark Perletta: Neither is Matt Towers, and now those seven men who were trying to get Towers to stop choking Kevin Oppenheimer are pooling their efforts to keep Matt Towers and Greyson Blade apart!

Slowly, the seven LEGACY officials get Matt Towers to back up, and he exits the ring, never taking his eyes off of Greyson Blade. Even as he circles the ring, Matt Towers looks like he wants to get back in the ring to take on Greyson, but the officials keep him from doing so.

Backstage

Already decked out in his ring gear boxing shorts and his entrance attire robe, Ron Bailey stands backstage talking to road agent Anastasia Ewing who has a clipboard in hand and a worried look on her face. We can’t hear what they’re talking about, but it doesn’t look like an uplifting conversation. Anastasia spots someone out of the corner of her eye and her demeanor warms up considerably. Pointing down the hall, she directs the attention of Ron Bailey and the cameraman to John Thomas, who is walking through the hall with his dufflebag in hand.

Ron Bailey: Johnny, man, where the heck you been?! I been tryin’ to track you down, man.

John raises an eyebrow.

John Thomas: Yeah?! Man, I’ve been having some serious cell phone problems, and someone hacked my email… and the hotel got my reservation screwed up so I wasn’t under my regular alias…

Something occurs to Anastasia, too.

Anastasia Ewing: So THAT’s why I couldn’t get a hold of you the past six days?! I was beginning to wonder…

Putting up a hand, Ron interjects.

Ron Bailey: Yeah, yeah, whatever, you two can talk about things all night long if you want to, but right now I need to know what’s up. You and me, we teaming up to face Domination together tonight?

John gets a confused look on his face.

John Thomas: Yeah, no doubt.

Ron looks extremely relieved.

Ron Bailey: Hell. Yes.

John looks confused.

John Thomas: There was never any doubt, right? You knew I got your back, right? You didn’t think I was ducking you or anything, did you?

Ron Bailey: Nah, I knew you were going to be there for your boy.

John pats Ron on the shoulder.

John Thomas: Besides, we’re undefeated as a team, especially in situations where people don’t think we got a chance of winning.

Ron smiks, then realizes something.

Ron Bailey: Yo! Not for nothin’, but you gotta go change, you can’t wrestle like that.

Anastasia gets a huge grin on her face.

Anastasia Ewing: Oh don’t worry, Ron, my Johnny can get undressed and redressed so fast it makes my headspin.

Ron looks at John and then looks over at Anastasia. John smirks and walks off and all Ron can do is shake his head.

Lucien Gray vs Crazy Boy

Mark Perletta: Our third contest of the night is the first to feature a direct opposite mixing of styles as the speedy, risk taking Crazy Boy taking on the gigantic, brutal Lucien Gray.

Alan Ducard: This being his debut match, it was clear to see Lucien Gray was trying his hardest to make a big first impression by being at his best, but Crazy Boy seemed to have alternate plans.

Landon Savage: Had this match taken place before DESTINED FOR GREATNESS, I have no doubt that this match would’ve gone differently, with Lucien Gray able to have his way. Ever since that three-way match with Marcus Mirage and Justin Moreno, he’s had a different look in his eye.

Mark Perletta: That big win certainly gave him cause to have an extra bit of self confidence, and that’s the look I think people are seeing in Crazy Boy’s eye.

Alan Ducard: That one win seems to have also brought with it determination for Crazy Boy. Even in the beginning parts of this match you could see it. Lucien Gray is an imposing figure, and in the first few minutes of this match the masked man was really taking it to Crazy Boy with the type of moves that make you want to call it an early evening and go get some Earl Gray and an ice pack… but even as he was taking that punishment, Crazy Boy kept getting up off the mat as quickly as possible, trying to find a way to turn things in his favor.

Landon Savage: Some call it valiant, some call it stupid. By jumping right back up, he runs the risk of tiring himself out and making Lucien Gray’s job easier on him… and that’s the last thing you want to do for a guy of Lucien Gray’s size.

Mark Perletta: Crazy Boy pointed this out in a taped promotional video earlier in the week, but it really hit home to me when I saw them across the ring from one another just how huge Lucien Gray is. At 6 foot 9 and 400 pounds, that makes Lucien Gray 6 inches taller than Crazy Boy, and it gives him an extra 200 pounds.

Alan Ducard: Those six inches don’t just make it harder for Crazy Boy to hit Lucien in the head, but it also gives Lucien the extra reach advantage. The extra 200 pounds certainly gives Gray the strength advantage, but just looking at him, it’s obvious that Lucien Gray doesn’t have 200 pounds more muscle than Crazy Boy, and some of those extra pounds certainly accounted for Lucien Gray being a bit slower than Crazy Boy.

Landon Savage: Crazy Boy definitely tried to use his speed to his advantage, let’s get to the footage and check out what happened.

Start : Footage from the Match

Crazy Boy bouncing of the near ropes leaps in an attempted high cross body. Lucien senses this, and ducks. Crazy Boy flies over top landing with a thud and nearly rolling out of the ring.

Alan Ducard: A mistake by Crazy Boy could be disasterous at this juncture.

Landon Savage: Yes sir. Lucien Gray's about to go on the offensive.

Lucien slowly gets to his feet and begins to stalk Tyrone. Tyrone rolls and gets to his knees and Lucien buries the bottom of his huge boot into the back/kidney area, Sending Crazy Boy down again. This time Lucien slowly drags Crazy Boy to his feet by his wrist and pulls him in towards him and snaps him over with a powerslam. Me hooks the leg...

th-NO! Crazy Boy shoulders out. The crowd starts up a "Lets Go! Crazy Boy!" chant. As Gray again drags Smith to his feet, this time by the head. He measures Crazy Boy, takes a few steps back, looking for a running clotheline...

Mark Perletta: NOBODY HOME!

Crazy Boy ducks, and while Lucien's momentum takes him past, Crazy gets behind him, jumps up wrapping his arms around Lucien's left arm, and his legs around his right arm - and falling back into a Crucifix roll up!

Thr-no!! Lucien Gray kicks out with authority.

Landon Savage: Crazy Boy almost got the win there, using the element of surprise!

Both men up quickly, Crazy Boy misses with a clothesline, Gray turns and grabs Crazy Boy into sidewalk slam position. Walks a few steps and then falls to the mat with authority.

Alan Ducard: Sound sidewalk slam, rocking Crazy Boy, no doubt.

Lucien stands again, and brings Crazy Boy up to a vertical base, and whips him off the ropes... and as Crazy Boy comes back Lucien drives the big boot into Tyrone's head.

Landon Savage: Crazy's lucky that thing is still attached.

Lucien with the cover.

One...

Two...

Th-no! Kickout by Crazy boy.

Mark Perletta: Despite recieving numerous high impact moves, he continues to be reslient.

Landon Savage: But, he's wearing down, Marky. Its only a matter of time.

Lucien brings Crazy Boy to his feet once more, picks him up for a scoop slam, but doens't slam him... instead he walks to the corner and drops Crazy Boy's head across the top turnbuckle. Lucien then quickly locks in a gutwrench, belly to back position... and then flings Crazy Boy Back over his head in a release german suplex. The crowd oohs, as Crazy Boy lands almost the entire way across the ring.

Mark Perletta: That is SCARY power.

Gray approaches Crazy Boy once more, delivering a few vicious boots to the ribs, before dragging him to his feet, but Before he's all the way to his feet Crazy Boy, he drops Lucien with a dropkick to the knee. He then drops a quick elbow. Hops up with determination. Goes to the first rope, and drops another elbow, which gets a cheer from the crowd. He pops up quickly again, and this time jumps up to the second rope, and leaps landing a third elbow. The crowd really getting behind him. Crazy Boy smiles and nods, pointing to the top rope which elicits a roar from the crowd. He jumps to the top rope and off burying one more elbow into back of Lucien Gray. He rolls him over and makes the cover.

One...

Two...

THRE-NO!! Lucien kicks out! Crazy Boy slaps the mat in frustration, but "feeling it" points once more to the top rope.

Landon Savage: He's letting the fans dictate what he's doing in that ring. That's NEVER a good idea!

Crazy Boy ascends the ropes to the "high rent" district and perches like a gargoyle... waiting. Once Lucien stands, favoring his back, he turns to Crazy Boy, who launches once more with a high cross body attempt...

Crowd: OOOooooh!!!

Landon Savage: Oh my...

Mark Perletta: HE CAUGHT HIM!!!

Gray smirks, holding onto Crazy Boy and in another display of power snaps Crazy Boy up into position for "Purgatory".

Alan Ducard: Looking to end it here, and now.

Gray's struggling to maintain hold on Crazy Boy, as Tyrone kicks and squirms... Gray's grip loosens and Crazy Boy slides out, behind Lucien Gray.

Backslide!!

One...

Two...

THREE!!!

Mark Perletta: Crazy Boy did it!

Alan Ducard: Fought his way out of a certain "demise", in escaping Purgatory... and found his way to heaven with a win over the debuting Lucien Gray.

Crazy Boy slides out of the ring quickly, with a huge grin on his face. Gray stands slowly, fuming at Crazy Boy as Josephina Colbert announces.

Josephina Colbert: Winner of this match. "Crazy Boy" Tyrone SMITH!!!!

Mark Perletta: An impressive debut from Lucien Gray falls just that much short. But a man with that sort of raw power and ability is destined for big things here in Legacy.

Landon Savage: And in spite of conventional wisdom, Crazy Boy continues to roll.

Alan Ducard: He certainly is showing people what he's capable of in the...

Alan Ducard stops mid-sentence as a commotion in the front row of the crowd turns into a frantic flurry of fists. Mirage jumped the security guardrail from the crowd and began laying into Crazy Boy from behind with fists. The ring now empty, Mirage picks Crazy Boy up from the ground and throws him into the ring underneath the bottom rope.

Mark Perletta: We heard Mirage say that things between he and Crazy Boy weren't over, and I guess this is all part of it!

Landon Savage: You don't mess with a guy like Mirage, that's what Crazy Boy did, and now he's learning his lesson!

Getting into the ring after Crazy Boy, Mirage gets to his feet and immediately stomps down on the side of Crazy Boy's head. As Crazy Boy tries to cover up, Mirage reaches down and lifts him up to his feet, only to drill him in the side of the head with a hard right hand, crumpling Crazy Boy back down to the mat. Kneeling down beside him, Mirage repeatedly lays into Crazy Boy with hard right hands to the forehead, busting Crazy Boy open, blood starting to cover Mirage's fist.

Alan Ducard: This is insane! Mirage isn't letting up at all!

Again lifting Crazy Boy up off the mat, this time Mirage walks over to the side of the ring, dragging Crazy Boy with him. After putting Crazy Boy's neck across the middle rope, Mirage non-chalantly lifts him up by his ankles and tosses his legs over the top rope. This act causes the middle rope to cross over the top rope, trapping Crazy Boy's neck in between, choking the life out of him.

Mark Perletta: We need to get someone out here right now to help Crazy Boy!

As LEGACY officials run out from the back, Mirage simply exits the ring and walks up the steel ramp, watching Crazy Boy start to turn blue on the LEGACY Vision jumbotron.

Advice

The scene opens with a shot of the entrance way to the building. The door flies open, and in walks Jake Dominion, decked out in a spiffy black Armani suit & his trademark black shades. He wheels his duffel bag down the hallway, headed towards his locker room when he spots Diego talking and laughing with his chica Hannah Perez. Jake proceeds to shake his head and then shouts out to Diego.

Jake Dominion: Yo Diego....yeah you...

Diego and Hannah stop talking to each other and look up at Dominion as he continues.

Jake Dominion: You think it's funny mang with what you're pulling?

Diego looks partially amused and confused, all at the same time.confused. Jake continues talking as if Diego’s response didn’t matter at all.

Jake Dominion: It's not funny and it sure as hell aint cool. What was funny, though, was Josephina making your chica Hannah over there look like the bitch she is...

Hannah gets all riled up and starts yelling incoherently in Spanish as Diego steps in front of her in an attempt to calm her down as Dominion continues.

Jake Dominion: Now that I've got your attention speedy gonzales, is any of this clicking? Again, do you think that it's cool or funny to be ducking Cronos like that? Cause I DON'T...

Diego turns around and faces Jake.

Diego de Cardenas – So is that what this is all about? You here to tell me I’m such a bad guy because I don’t want to waste another match beating Diamante’s ass like I did the first two times? Spare me.

Diego takes a step in Jake’s direction, but the cool as ice Dominion just stands there.

Diego de Cardenas – You want to be a locker room leader or something? Is that what this is about? Or maybe you got a hard-on for Cronos…

Jake doesn’t look amused, but Diego is almost laughing.

Diego de Cardenas – If this is your attempt to try to recruit me or something…

A half amused smile forms on Jake’s face.

Jake Dominion: You know what, Diego? Ha. Ha. Very funny, Diego. Make all the jokes you want, keep ducking guys like Cronos and Issac… but you aren’t going to get people thinking you’re one of the best in the world.

Slowly, Diego starts nodding his head.

Diego de Cardenas – You know what, Jake? Keep your advice, I’m doing well enough on my own.

His trademark smirk forms on Jake’s face.

Jake Dominion: Considering Justin Moreno had a Number One Contenders match two weeks ago instead of you, I’d say you might want to consider switching things up a bit, but whatever you want to do…

Dominion shrugs, the smirk plastered across his face, and then he walks off down the hall. Gritting his teeth as a quiet rage builds, Diego watches Jake walk off down the hall. Turning slowly, Diego turns his gaze in a different direction and then after a moment he slowly begins to walk down the hall. Hannah looks up, sees her boyfriend walking down the hall, and she tries to catch up.

Hannah Perez: Diego?

Not responding, Diego looks at a door further down the hall. When they get there, Diego knocks a couple quick times and then waits. The door opens and Crash is standing there, somewhat surprised.

Diego de Cardenas – You got a couple minutes to talk?

Crash looks confused.

Diego de Cardenas – I have an offer for you…

Looking moderately interested, Crash steps back and opens the door wide enough to let Diego enter the locker room, Hannah Perez following him in and then Crash releases the door and it slams shut.

The camera cuts backstage where we see Gryffin Anselm and James Win standing next to interviewer Andrew Kelley. With one of the World Tag Team Championship belts slung over his shoulder, Gryffin doesn’t have his typical backstage jovial demeanor. Instead he appears to be angered by something. Andrew appears surprised by what he’s about to say.

Andrew Kelley: As you all can see I have Gryffin Anselm and James Win, the World Tag Team Champions, standing here backstage with me, and they just informed me that they have an important announcement they wanted to make.

Gryffin Anselm: Jerry Starr… Allen Franks… two weeks from now… STRIFE 28. You two haven’t done a damn thing to deserve a shot at our belts… but we’re going to make that match happen.

Andrew Kelley: So wait, you’re extending a challenge to the Canuckin’ Cowboys?

Gryffin gives the slightest of nods.

Gryffin Anselm: That’s exactly what we’re doing.

Wanting to clear up his obvious confusion, Andrew looks to find the reason behind all of this.

Andrew Kelley: Do you mind if I ask what made you decide to do this?

Not able to hold his tongue any longer, James Win steps up and takes the microphone.

James Win: Does the Diabolik mind if you get into their business? Of course they do, but because the questions won’t stop coming in from all angles until the question is answered, The All Star is going to clear it up for you all, but you better listen up or set your TiVo to catch this, because James Win is only saying this once.

He pauses for a moment, then continues.

James Win: That big oaf Edmonton Eddy thought it would be cute to play tattle tale on us with Big Lou. Well now it’s time that the Canadian Cowgirls learn that they need to mind their own business! They get a little upset just because the Diabolik said they weren’t worthy of a title shot? Well it was true then, it’s true now, and at STRIFE 28 the World Tag Team Champions are going to make sure there is no doubt in ANYONE’s mind that the Cowgirls aren’t cut out to challenge for these belts!

Win taps his palm against the faceplate of the World Tag Team Championship belt around his waist. Gryffin takes the microphone from Win.

Gryffin Anselm: Come on, let’s go.

After shoving the microphone into Andrew Kelley’s chest, Gryffin Anselm walks off, James Win following not too far behind him.

Domination vs Ron Bailey & John Thomas

Alan Ducard: The only tag match of the night is the one we’ve got coming up next.

Mark Perletta: Earlier this week I heard that Rob Belote was a bit disappointed to not get at least a second tag match on the show somehow, though I also heard that when he looked at the bookings options, he didn’t want to change anything up.

Alan Ducard: Going into tonight’s event, we were unsure as to who would be Ron Bailey’s partner.

Landon Savage: Oh come on, it was going to be John Thomas all along, though it’s a shame about John’s phone not working, because I think that’s all it really was no matter what people might want to think.

Mark Perletta: I will admit that I had my doubts that he’d actually turn his back on Ron Bailey. You might not like the things Ron Bailey and John Thomas do, but they are friends and friends don’t turn their backs on each other.

Alan Ducard: They’re a good team, too, undefeated coming into this match, a previous win against Crash and X-Calibur.

Mark Perletta: They knew this was going to be a tough match, though. Domination came into this match determined, wanting not only a win but also hoping to get some revenge. With this match, they got their opportunity.

Alan Ducard: Certainly no bogus water bottles in this one, no dodgy bets by Ron Bailey due to the rules set in place to keep lads from thinking they could lose a match on purpose to gain a few extra dollars.

Landon Savage: With everything happening between these individuals going into this match, there’s not much chance Ron Bailey would be trying to lose a match – especially this match – just for some money. He’s a gambler, not a “degenerate gambler”.

Mark Perletta: I was looking forward to this match, as were a lot of other people, so how about we get down to the footage?

Start : Footage from the Match

When the match footage settles in we see Ron Bailey in control of Ben Murdock using a front facelock to pull him back towards his corner. He hits a series of knees into the bigger man’s chest, and then slaps hands with John Thomas. Bailey transfers the hold into an arm wrench which allows Thomas to head to the top and come off with a double axe handle smash into RAGE’s unprotected head, driving him down to the canvas.

Alan Ducard: We’ve seen some good teamwork from both sides during this match. Domination got off to an incredibly hot start and almost took the fall within the first few minutes of the match. John Thomas made a great save after a double chokeslam from Domination on Bailey. However, over the course of the match, Domination’s over eagerness to down right injure Bailey has cost them on a couple of occasions.

Landon Savage: Well you are seeing that right now. After RAGE went for that gore in the corner he went right through and hit his shoulder on the ring post, and that allowed Bailey to take control and make the tag to Thomas.

Mark Perletta: John is no stranger to fighting men as big as the members of Domination using that quickness and technique, but after what Bailey did to Domination I’m hoping that this time that power can overcome here and we see Bailey go for the ride.
After the double axe handle, Thomas went to work on the shoulder, driving his knee down into it and torquing the arm.

Alan Ducard: You have to think that John is softening him up for the crossface chickenwing.

Ben still has some fight left in him, and he begins to push himself up, but Thomas meets him with a series of kicks to the ribs that at first slows, and then halts Ben’s progress as he drops and rolls on the canvas. John still with the advantage lays in with some stomps before choking Ben with a foot to the throat. Steve O’Reily looks across the ring glaring at Bailey and then to Thomas, and he begins slapping the turnbuckle and yelling for Ben to get to him and make the tag. The fans begin to start clapping and rallying behind the downed Domination member with a “Dom-in-nation” chant going up from the fans. Trent moves around the ring a bit and begins shouting some advice to Ben. Ron then moves from his corner and tries to kick at Trent who backs off and the fans jeer the move by Bailey. Thomas moves behind Ben, and …

Mark Perletta: He’s going for the crossface chickenwing! He’s got it on but … NO! Ben rushes back to the corner and slams John into the buckles to free himself.

Alan Ducard: It was a perfect moment to go for that submission, but RAGE is alert, probably from Trent Logan’s direction before Bailey chased him away.

Landon Savage: He still has to stay on Ben here or this is going to … damn!

The response from Thomas comes at Ben, but being caught mid charge and taken up and over with a big powerslam in the middle of the ring and RAGE hooking the tights. Immediately, Bailey is in the ring to make the count a moot point, but that gives Steve O’Reily the chance to charge the ring. He immediately goes for Ron and rocks him with a clothesline before scooping him up and tossing him into the corner and begins to hammer away on him. Finally, the referee has to threaten to DQ VENOM to get him off of Ron, and get him back outside the ring.

Inside the ring, Thomas and Ben are both getting to their feet with Thomas with the early advantage. John rocks Ben with a European uppercut, and then spikes him down with a DDT as Bailey gets back to his corner. John then heads for the ropes, and it looks like we’re going to get that trademark moonsault, that is until Ben manages to get to his feet and catches John in mid-air, and slams him straight down. From there the epic journey to make the tag begins for both men.

Mark Perletta: This could be THE turning point in the match! Steve is just begging to make the tag. I’m not sure about Bailey, but John Thomas is coming.

Alan Ducard: Well, if both men make the tag, Bailey has a chance to fight his way out of his predicament with Domination.

Landon Savage: That might be the ONLY way out of this Alan.

Both men crawl towards their corners as the crowd rises up behind Domination and Trent directs Ben in telling him to lunge and he does and the crowd comes unglued as Steve hits the ring along with Ron Bailey who Thomas tagged a moment after Ben made his. Steve hits the ring on fire driving Bailey back with a series of big right hands to the ropes. VENOM grabs Ron and tosses him away with the Irish whip and on the rebound he takes him up and down with a thunderous spinebuster that seems to shake the ring on impact.

Mark Perletta: VENOM has been waiting to get his hands on Ron Bailey for weeks, and now that he has the chance to bring the pain to Bailey he’s going to make every second count!

Alan Ducard: He just has to be careful because last time Domination got themselves in trouble by being overly aggressive.

Landon Savage: I think Trent Logan will be able to temper it here. You can feel the momentum shifting here in the match right back to Domination. They are going to ride this to a victory and get themselves back into the title hunt.

Alan Ducard: Although I don’t like Bailey’s tactics Landon, I still favor that more technical side of wrestling, and I think Thomas and Bailey can over come this onslaught.

VENOM pulls Bailey to his feet and just unleashes with a series of rights and lefts before sending him hard into the buckles with the Irish whip. Bailey impacts and spasms and staggers out of the corner, right to the waiting O’Reily who scoops him over his shoulders in the fireman’s carry. Thomas is in the ring, and dropkicks Steve, and Bailey comes down on O’Reily with the pin attempt!

Mark Perletta: What a quick reversal! Bailey hooks the legs!

One

Two

Thre-NO! Ben Murdock breaks up the pin, and here comes RAGE!

Alan Ducard: RAGE is going after John Thomas, and there’s an elbow off the apron.

Landon Savage: This is all breaking down gentlemen, and this could favor Domination, but Bailey still has the advantage on the inside.

Bailey is up first and drops an elbow on Steve in the middle of the ring, and then drops a knee down on the head, but on the outside, Ben rocks John with another hard elbow, pulling him up from the floor, and then slams him head first off the ring steps! Inside the ring, Bailey has Steve hooked for a suplex, but Steve blocks, pulls Ron up for a suplex and then drops him with a wicked Orange Crush bomb! The fans roar as Ben runs into the ring and Steve looks over to his partner and motions “up”! Steve boots Ron in the gut, and Ben heads for the top rope! There’s the leap from Ben as Steve pulls Ron to the top of the powerbomb position and …

Mark Perletta: TOTAL DOMINATION ON BAILEY!

Alan Ducard: John Thomas is just not getting up on the outside! He better hurry or this one is over gents.

Landon Savage: This is over Alan … VENOM makes the cover!

One

Two

Three!

Josephina Colbert: Here are your winners by pinfall... Ben Murdock... Steve O'Reily... DOM-IN-ATION!!

The bell sounds and “Fear” hits the PA system and Trent Logan waists no time with his men celebrating. Immediately, they bail from the ring and go under it and bring out two tables and slide them inside the ring!

Mark Perletta: It looks like Domination isn’t done with Bailey, and perhaps Thomas as well!

Alan Ducard: I don’t approve of this. I know Bailey crossed the line, but they already beat him in the ring!

Landon Savage: When there’s money on the line, the limits seem to stretch Alan.

RAGE goes after Thomas and tosses him in the ring, and O’Reily has the tables set up as he goes for Bailey. They each boot his victim in the gut and as the crowd cheers they prepare to powerbomb each man through a table. Suddenly, the ring area is flooded with reinforcements. Crash, Gryffin Anselm, James Win, along with Tino and Giovanni hit the ring! Domination fights back at first, dropping first Win with a brutal clothesline, and then hitting a double boot and DDT on Gryffin, but Crash and the bodyguards are there to stop the assault as Crash leaps on RAGE’s back allowing the bodyguards to toss VENOM over the top with RAGE to follow shortly there after. T & G immediately go to Gryffin and Win to help them up as Domination stares in from the outside.

Mark Perletta: Thomas and Bailey appear to be safe for now as Big Lou’s men along with Diabolik have cleared the ring, and … dang it looks as if Domination is headed back to the ring!

Alan Ducard: Are they mad? There are at least five men in there not counting Bailey and Thomas. It would be suicide!

Just as Domination is about to go back inside the ring, Trent Logan steps in front of his team, and puts his arms out as if to block them.

Landon Savage: Well, Trent is playing it smart here Alan, probably thinking the same thing you just were. Those animals want to get in there and fight, but no sense fighting a losing battle, and Logan knows it. He needs them in prime condition if they ever hope to take the tag belts from the Diabolik.

Backstage

We're backstage with Intern Avery who's talking to a young female production assistant. They're smiling, possibly flirting when Avery is flanked by the "employees" of Loco Martinez, T.Rex and Arch Angel. They scowl down at Avery.

T.Rex: Yo, A-squared. Lookie who it is!

Arch Angel: Who's that T-Rizzle?

T.Rex: Our bestest bud in the whole wide world! Avery!

Arch Angle drops a huge hand heavily on Avery's shoulder. Avery cringes, and excuses himself from his female friend.

Avery: I'm sorry. I'll catch up with you later.

The woman turns to leave, but Rex cocks an eyebrow.

T.Rex: Baby-cakes, you can stay if you want. We can play archeologist... and you can dust my BONE!!

Angel roars at this and Avery chuckles nervously as the P.A. turns and shoots Rex an angry glare.

T.Rex: Maybe next week, sugar-tits. Maybe next week.

The attention is now solely focused on Avery.

Arch Angel: Sooo... last we met you said you'd see about getting us a match… Yet? We hear nothing. See nothing. IN FACT, we had to chase you down. Catch you like the rat you ARE. Just so we can find out what kind of progress you're making. You... ARE making progress, aren't you?

Avery half nods, half shrugs.

Avery: I don't get it fellas. Why not ask Loco to get you a match? He's the World Champion. He has some power here in Legacy. A-a-a-a... LOT more than ME!

The two think this over.

Arch Angel: Cuz its not his JOB to get us matches. He has sh*t to worry about. He has Jake Dominion, and Cade, and Ray, and Greyson... and god KNOWS who else.

Avery: But, you see fellas? Its not MY job to find you a match either.

T.Rex slides behind Avery, grabbing the waistband of his underwear and yanks up violently. Avery lets out a high pitched grunt and winces painfully.

T.Rex: Dat's where you's wrong... FRIEND. Cuz we've MADE it your job. So what's it gonna be?

Rex pulls up lifting Avery off his feet violently... Avery's eyes bulge in pain.

Arch Angel: We can be your friends, young-buck. We can be your bestest buddies... OR?

Rex pulls up violently once more time, and drops Avery who lands on his feet with a thud... and clearly in pain from the violent wedgie he just recieved.

T.Rex: Or? We can be a REAL pain in the ass!

The two share a huge laugh and start to walk away.

Tao of Valor Championship
Ultimate X Match
Dan Stein vs X-Calibur ©

Alan Ducard: Up next is the first of two championship matches on tonight’s show, and it also marks the first Ultimate X match we’ve had in a while.

Mark Perletta: At STRIFE 26 tempers flared between X-Calibur and Dan Stein when both of them were trying to get a chance to talk to the recently demasked Cade Sydal, having a lot to talk to their old friend about now that they knew he was the man behind Strong Style Dragon.

Alan Ducard: They did get into a bit of a shoving match, but at the same time, that’s not the full reason for either one of them to be excited about this match.

Landon Savage: Both of these men want to be known as the best to hold the Tao of Valor Championship. Dan Stein lost the Tao of Valor belt to “Strong Style Dragon” Cade Sydal, but he never got his rematch shot at trying to regain the belt. Then X-Calibur got the belt from Sydal, so now it’s a chance to see if X could’ve got the belt from Stein.

Alan Ducard: This is a chance to see if Stein losing the belt in the first place was a fluke, because when he had that belt, he was the hottest competitor in the organization.

Mark Perletta: It’s no secret that he has taken a step back since then. He could’ve had a bigger match at Destined For Greatness, but instead he took a match with his former student Kevin Oppenheimer.

Landon Savage: X-Calibur doesn’t have any thoughts of taking any steps backwards at this point, because he’s made it very clear that he’s trying to go forward and get a World Title shot by collecting those tokens.

Alan Ducard: If he could do that, he’d be the first competitor to collect all four tokens. I can imagine that he’d have a fantastic match against Loco Martinez, Jake Dominion, Ray Willmott or another great contest against Cade Sydal, whoever might have the belt at that point .

Mark Perletta: Since obviously there aren’t enough shows remaining on which X-Calibur could collect tokens between now and the pay per view, there’s a whole host of possibilities for potential opponents, but before he can get to that point he has to get past Dan Stein.

Landon Savage: This is an Ultimate X Match, so let’s see as much of it as possible.

Start : Footage from the Match

With Stein momentarily doubled over, X-Calibur steps in and grabs Dan into a gutwrench position and then hoists him upwards and goes for a powerbomb. When he gets Dan up there, though, Stein swings his legs off of X’s shoulders, swings them backwards and grabs X-Calibur around the neck, swinging his legs forwards as he takes his opponent down to the mat and hits a ddt.

Alan Ducard: A wonderful reversal by “The Lights” Dan Stein, turning a potentially very bad situation around in his favor.

Mark Perletta: And now he’s not letting up one bit as he gets right back up to his feet and begins to lay into X with some kicks to the ribs.

Having inflicted enough damage, Stein drops down to his knees and goes for the mounted position, but X throws up a guard long enough to reach up with his arms and he tosses Stein off of him. Before X-Calibur can get to his feet, Stein tries to lock him into a guillotine choke. Flailing around and keeping his legs and arms moving, X does the best he can to block it while trying to get up to his feet, and when he finally regains a vertical base he lifts Stein up, flips him over and hits a spinebuster, drilling Stein down onto his back.

Alan Ducard: Great use of the spinebuster by X-Calibur to keep himself from a sticky situation.

Landon Savage: Had Dan Stein locked him in that guillotine, I think X-Calibur would be out cold by now, and that would make it very easy for Stein to get up on those cables, scale his way across and regain the Tao of Valor Championship.

After kicking down onto his opponent, X-Calibur lifts Dan up off the mat, holding him around the wrist. Taking a step back, X-Calibur pulls Dan in as he goes for a short clothesline, but Stein ducks underneath the attempt and then turns and immediately hits a low dropkick to the shin which drops X to the mat.

Mark Perletta: The match turns the tides yet again and now it’s Dan Stein who is back on the attack, just laying into X-Calibur with kicks to the ribs.

Alan Ducard: I don’t believe this offensive session is going to be as easily reversible as the past ones have been. There’s quite a bit of force behind those kicks.

Landon Savage: This attitude that Dan Stein is displaying here, this is more of a throw-back to the days when he was challenging for the World Title… and it suits him well.

After Stein punishes the ribs with a couple more kicks, he lifts X-Calibur up off the mat and begins to irish whip him towards one corner, but then instead of letting him go, Stein pulls X back towards him, lifting his knee up and driving it right into X’s gut. After he drives a second knee into X’s gut and doubles him over, Dan irish whips X-Calibur into the far corner, laying out to put as much power into it as possible.

Mark Perletta: X-Calibur nearly collapsing under the impact of hitting that corner…

Landon Savage: His hands were able to grip the top rope on each side, and that’s about the only way he didn’t just buckle down to the mat.

With X-Calibur dazed in the corner, Stein takes a few moments to think about his strategy, and then as Stein runs in, X-Calibur recovers just enough to take a couple steps forward out of the corner and he takes Stein down with a drop toe hold that sends Dan headfirst into the bottom turnbuckle.

Alan Ducard: What a recovery by X-Calibur, and he may have just bought himself a great opportunity!

Landon Savage: He’s giving Dan Stein the look… I think he might be about to go for it…

Oblivious to anything else going on, Dan Stein holds his forehead and works to get up from the mat. X-Calibur moves in and sizes Stein up, and just when Dan Stein turns around X-Calibur grabs him by the head and takes a step forwards….

NO!

Before X-Calibur could complete the X-Terminator, Dan Stein was able to block it, shoving X-Calibur forwards and away from him. As X-Calibur turns around to come back on the offensive, Dan Stein lifts one leg up, tosses his other one up and over as he goes for his signature enzuigiri, but X-Calibur has enough left in the tank to see the move coming and he ducks underneath it. Grabbing Stein from behind as he works his way up off the mat, X-Calibur throws his opponent backwards with a belly to back suplex.

Alan Ducard: What an exchange between these two competitors, giving it their all to try to take each other out, both men hoping to leave with that Tao of Valor Championship.

Mark Perletta: Considering it’s one of the most coveted championships in the business, it’s not surprising that they’d both go all out to try to win it.

Resting on a knee momentarily to slow his pulse a bit, X-Calibur spots Dan Stein working his way back up off the mat, so he moves in and grabs Stein by the head. Pulling him to a vertical base, X-Calibur takes another moment’s pause to make sure he’s ready for this, and then he attempts to lift Stein up into a vertical suplex, but at the apex of the move Stein shifts his body weight and ends up behind X-Calibur. Stein then grabs his opponent by the leg and tosses him backwards, dumping him over the top rope and out of the ring!

Landon Savage: With X-Calibur on the arena floor, this is a perfect opportunity for Stein to try to scale across one of the cables and grab that belt!

Mark Perletta: He’s sizing up the champion on the outside, and I don’t think he’s going to go for the belt just yet…

Alan Ducard: No, he’s not!

Turning and running in the opposite direction, Stein hits the ropes on the other side of the ring from where X-Calibur is getting to his feet on the outside, and when he springs off he gets a ton of momentum and leaps up over the top rope and dives towards X-Calibur…

BUT X MOVES OUT OF THE WAY!!

STEIN HITS THE BOTTOM OF THE RAMP!!

Alan Ducard: Good lord! I hope Dan isn’t seriously injured!

Landon Savage: He’s seriously stupid for going for that move instead of going after that championship belt hanging above the ring.

Mark Perletta: I don’t know if he would’ve been able to get to the belt even if he had climbed up to get it right away. X-Calibur was already working to get up to his feet a moment after he hit the arena floor, and I think he would’ve found a way to get back in the ring to put a stop to Stein trying to scale across the cable.

Landon Savage: I guess you never know.

Alan Ducard: Well now it’s X-Calibur who is back up on the ring apron, and he’s going to try to get to his belt.

Moving down the apron to the corner, X-Calibur begins climbing the turnbuckles. When he gets to the top he notices Dan Stein slowly trying to get back to his feet, already having one knee underneath him. Stein clearly out of reach, a high risk maneuver is clearly out of the question, X-Calibur leaps upwards and grabs on to the cable. As he starts to move down the cable, his hand slips a bit and he hangs there by one arm, then reaches back up and starts moving again.

Landon Savage: Dan Stein is back on his feet, and if he wants any chance of winning this thing, he needs to get up there and make something happen SOON!

Mark Perletta: He’s up on the apron now, headed for the same corner X-Calibur started from.

It doesn’t take Dan Stein too long to get up onto the top turnbuckle. Measuring up his opponent’s distance, Stein takes a deep breath, dives outwards, reaching up and grabbing the cable about halfway between the corner and where X-Calibur is holding on, and then using his momentum and the cable to propel himself, Stein flings himself forwards towards X-Calibur, lifts one of his legs and swings his other leg over…

AND HE CONNECTS WITH A MAKE-SHIFT ENZUIGIRI TO THE SIDE OF X-CALIBUR’S HEAD!!

BOTH MEN FALL TO THE MAT!!

Mark Perletta: Incredible! Dan Stein is able to hit THE LIGHTS while springing off from the top rope... unbelievable!

Landon Savage: A lot of good it did him, Dan Stein is just as laid out on the mat as X-Calibur is right now.

Alan Ducard: I don't believe anyone wants this match to end in a double knock out, but I believe if the referee would count it, we might reach ten.

Mark Perletta: It's very possible. Neither X-Calibur or Stein landed very well... and now it looks like Stein is at least going to be the first to get up.

Dan Stein is the first of the two to start moving, and after he rolls over onto his stomach, he pulls his leg up underneath him, putting his knee into the mat and pushing himself upwards. Pushing himself towards his goal literally and figuratively, Stein pushes up with his feet and reaches out with his hand, grabbing the top rope to help stabilize himself. Slowly he makes his way towards the nearest corner, glancing over at X-Calibur, who is still laid out on the mat. Exiting out onto the apron, Stein slowly starts climbing up the turnbuckles. Once he’s on the top, Stein jumps up and grabs the Ultimate X cable and hangs there for a moment.

Landon Savage: What’s he doing?

Alan Ducard: It looks as though he’s not real sure whether he’s going to be able to hold on… and now it seems he’s going to try to make sure he’s able to stay up on the cable cord.

Pulling down on the cable, Dan Stein is able to lift his legs upwards, wrapping them around the cable too. Slowly, he begins to shimmy across the rope, headed feet first towards the Tao of Valor Championship. Shaking some of the cobwebs, X-Calibur starts to pull himself up off the mat. Looking around, you can see the fright start to form on X’s face when he doesn’t see his opponent, and then he looks up and spots him working his way down the cable. A frantic, determined look takes over and X-Calibur forces himself up off the mat, headed right towards the same corner Dan Stein started from. By the time X gets out onto the apron and gets up onto the top turnbuckle, Stein’s feet are more than halfway to the championship belt.

Mark Perletta: It’s going to be tough for X-Calibur to catch him now…

Alan Ducard: He might not have to!

Putting one foot onto the rope instead of the top turnbuckle for extra stability and leverage, X-Calibur takes a deep breath and leaps outwards towards where Stein’s hands are, reaches up and grabs on to the cable. His grip only holds for a moment. As his weight pulls downwards on the cable, the cable comes down a few inches, then reflexes upwards with the natural spring to a taught cable. As it goes back up, the cable slips through X-Calibur’s fingers, causing him to fall down to the mat. The vibration in the cable also causes Stein’s hands to lose their grip.

Landon Savage: I bet Dan Stein is glad he had his legs hooked around the cable, because without them, he would be down on the mat with X-Calibur right now!

Alan Ducard: Well X-Calibur fell down onto his feet, so the fall didn’t hurt him much, but Stein can’t exactly move down the rope without his hands up there to push himself.

Mark Perletta: Now Stein has to resort to trying to pull himself up to get his hands back up there, and he’s going to have to do it soon before X-Calibur makes his next move.

Alan Ducard: He’s already back out onto the apron.

Going as fast as he can, X-Calibur climbs up to the top turnbuckle, steadying himself this time with both feet on the top rope instead of the turnbuckle, holding on to the cable above him with one hand. Watching Stein try to reach up to grab the cable, X-Calibur waits for the perfect moment, then leaps outwards, grabbing Dan Stein by the head and arm. All in one fluid motion X-Calibur grabs on to Stein and swings his legs through, stretching out towards the middle of the ring. Stein’s legs come free of their grip and Stein starts falling towards the mat with X-Calibur releasing Stein’s arm and turning the move into a modified falling front neckbreaker.

Crowd: HOLY SH*T! HOLY SH*T! HOLY SH*T!

Mark Perletta: That was incredible! X-Calibur just found a way to hit Dan Stein with the X-Terminator as he pulled him down off that cable!

Alan Ducard: I can hardly believe my eyes! This is one of the best matches I’ve ever seen!

Landon Savage: That was reckless! He could’ve killed Dan Stein with that move, broken his neck even!!

Mark Perletta: If he would’ve tried for it straight out, yes, he could’ve, but he hooked Stein’s arm in the process, and I think that was intentional and it made all the difference!

Alan Ducard: I concur, I believe X-Calibur knew that he had to not just grab Stein by the neck… and judging from the fact that Stein’s leg is twitching, I’d say he’s not paralyzed from the move, so it all works out!

Slowly X-Calibur stirs on the mat, forcing himself over onto his stomach. As he crawls towards the ropes, the fans are still going ballistic over the move he just hit. Reaching up, X-Calibur grabs onto the middle rope, then he reaches up again and grabs the top rope, forcing himself yet again to get to his feet. Getting out onto the apron, X pushes himself over towards the corner and climbs the turnbuckles, getting to the top rope as quickly as he can. Looking up almost in disbelief, X grabs on to the cable above him then turns his back to the middle of the ring.

Landon Savage: Why in the world would he turn his back on the prize?!

Alan Ducard: I believe he’s looking to make sure he doesn’t make the same mistake Dan Stein did.

Reaching up with his leg, X-Calibur hooks the top part of his foot over the cable and then starts going hand-after-hand towards the middle of the ring. As he gets closer and closer to the middle of the ring, the excitement amongst the crowd grows. When he gets a couple feet away, a smile begins to form on his face, and then he reaches out with one hand and begins to unhook the belt. When he gets it unclasped, he clutches it to his chest with one arm, releases his foot’s hold on the cable, then lets himself drop down to the mat. As soon as his feet hit, the bell sounds and the crowd erupts in a much bigger ovation of cheers.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner... and STILL TAO OF VALOR CHAMPION.... X-CALIBUR!!!

Mark Perletta: After a great match, somehow X-Calibur finds a way to come out on top and retain that Tao of Valor Championship.

Alan Ducard: Incredible match, potentially a match of the year candidate, and Dan Stein has no reason to feel bad about the outcome. He fought valliantly and came very close to regaining the Tao of Valor title.

Landon Savage: If he wants to take his career to the next level again, he's going to have to adjust his attitude, because whatever he's doing now... it's not cutting it.

Backstage

We head backstage and find Road Agent Preston Thompkins talking to newest LEGACY member John Iley. John seems a little disheartened as Thompkins is explaining something...

Preston: "So that's it basically, we just couldn't book you on the show."

Iley holds his hands up.

Iley: "Hey don't worry about it. I'm cool with it. I just hope that I'm on the next show. I'm just ITCHING to get back in the ring. Trust me, when I get out there, I won't dissapoint."

Preston nods.

Preston: "I understand, but you have to realize we have a big roster and we can't get everyone a match on every card."

Iley: "As I said, not a problem. All I ask is that I get a match next time, preferably against someone who will make for a good 'induction' here"

Again Preston nods.

Preston: " I'll certainly mention it to the front office, but I have a feeling they may already be ahead of you there!"

Slowly, Iley begins to nod.

Iley: "Really? Cool. I just hope it's not like my very first wrestling match ever!"

Preston: "Why what happened?"

Iley: "I was 18 years old, very first wrestling match in my hometown. 200 people, most of which were family and friends. There I was, barely 190 pounds soaking wet, going up against a 300 pound bloke in a mask. I was a trained wrestler, not someone to go in and get pounded about like a rag doll!"

Preston: "So what happened in the match?"

Iley: "I won, through luck! I left the ring, grabbed my stuff, collected my pay, all Ten Pounds of it, and left. Let's just say my opponent wasn't too happy getting beaten by a young kid!"

Preston chuckles.

Iley: "Yeah laugh it up. A lot of people thought I would pack it in, but I didn't. Even when I started training at 16, I was bent, twisted and ground into the mat like no bodies business. But I kept at it, I was there over and over again. Then they realized how serious I was about doing this! So if I can show that of dedication, just think what I can do out there to entertain those fans. I know you said the front office may be ahead of me in getting me a match for next time, but I honestly hope that I get the opportunity to get in that ring next week. I'm going to hit the ground running, mate. I'm not going to disappoint here, I can guarantee you that!"

Preston: "Well you certainly seem ready enough! You have the kind of mentality we want around here."

Iley offers his hand to Preston which he takes and shakes.

Iley: "Thanks, much appreciated!"

Iley heads off and Preston watches him leave, then pulls a notepad and pen from his back pocket and makes notes.

Elsewhere Backstage

The scene is backstage where we see Justin Moreno wearing his LEGACY T-Shirt with a pair of faded carpenter blue jeans and old-school black Chuck Taylors and his wife, Allison, by his side wearing a little violet dress and high heel shoes. He also has on a really flashy pair of sunglasses and a large silver cross necklace. Moreno's just walking around with Allison by his side, minding his own business when all of a sudden, Crash walks by Moreno and has a look of disgust on his face just at the sight of Moreno. Justin lifts up the sunglasses and begins to speak in that trademark laid-back So-Cal surfer accent of his.

Justin Moreno: Dude, why the hostility?

Crash stops and turns around, slowly walking back towards Justin. The look of disdain is clearly still on Crash’s face.

Crash: Don't talk to me like I'm some kind of friend of yours, cocktard. What have you done lately to earn that match?

Moreno looks confused.

Crash: All you've been able to do is moonsault out into the crowd on empty chairs and get pinned, just like you did at our last show, yet they give you a chance at becoming the Number One Contender to the belt?

Crash shakes his head in disgust.

Crash: Here I am beating guys left and right, actually accomplishing something… and I get passed over for spot monkey who can't tell a wristlock from a wristwatch. You don't belong in that league Justin, you belong in the No Limits division or a junior heavyweight division, not here with the big boys.

Moreno looks up at Crash and looks at him with no hint of fear in his eyes as he gets nose to nose with Crash, despite being outweighed by sixty or so pounds.

Justin Moreno: Is that a fact?

Moreno pauses and then continues.

Justin Moreno: You know, all I hear from the critics is the same damn complaint. Spot monkey this and spot monkey that. I keep proving night after night you don't have to be some big muscle-bound guy with the wrestling ability of a sponge to be one of the best damn wrestlers in North America today.

Moreno almost laughs.

Justin Moreno: I think it just pains you to see that someone besides you is getting title opportunities. I mean, what have you done to deserve it? You lost to Jake, for God's sake, so that argument doesn't have a leg to stand on. Granted, I lost to Jake too, but I'm young and I'll get more at-bats. I mean, George Brett didn't even get a hit until his 23rd major league at-bat and the guy's a damn Hall-Of-Famer. So I suggest you step off your high horse right now before I knock you upside the head with my fists, dude.

Crash laughs.

Crash: You've got heart, but you’re also an idiot. You’re too damn small for me or anyone else to take you seriously.

Crash gives him a quick “once over”.

Crash: You’re built like Paris Hilton. You trying to kick my ass would be as smart as an armless man jumping off a boat. I'm the guy who wins matches and puts asses in seats around here. I'm the guy who gets the title shot, and if you step up to me, I will be the one who causes you to drowned.

Justin Moreno: Dude, I don't know who pissed in your Cheerios, but you need to get the hell over the fact that I've had my chances at title opportunities while you haven't. If you want to prove yourself so damn bad, why don't you fight me? I’m not afraid of “drowning”, and as long as I get the opportunity to keep proving to myself and all the Moreno-holics out there that LEGACY can keep lining people up, I'm just gonna keep stepping up and proving myself.

Moreno cocks his head to the side.

Justin Moreno: Or are you scared that a "spot-monkey" like me might actually beat you, crushing your precious ego?

Crash: I'm not worried about losing to no damn spot monkey. I know sooner than later, you’re gonna mess up and f*ck your ownself up for me. When that happens, I'm gonna step in and make you tap, just like I've done to Katsuro Yoshida and John Thomas so far here in LEGACY and countless others elsewhere. It’s on you if you’re dumb enough to step into the ring with me, because a hospital visit would be on your horizon and you'd be putting that bitch in a chair next to you, while you’re in traction. Ya dig?

At that point, J-Mo immediately gets very defensive as he takes up for his wife.

Justin Moreno: Now you've gone too far, dude. You can insult me as a wrestler all you want, but if I ever hear of you calling my wife that again, trust me, that'll be the last mistake you EVER make, comprende?

Crash rolls his eyes and sighs.

Crash: Yeah. If you say so.

Moreno then looks back at Crash with disgust as Allison puts her arms around Justin and gives him a hug as she begins to speak.

Allison Moreno: Forget him, honey. He knows that you can beat him. Now let's get out of here and go find somewhere to eat, ok?

Justin smiles back at his wife and gives her a kiss as he begins to speak.

Justin Moreno: Good idea, I'll deal with Crash later on.

Cronos vs Hector

Number One Contenders Match
No Limits Championship
Hector Rodriguez vs Cronos Diamante

Mark Perletta: It’s gotta be tough to follow a match like the Ultimate X match we just had, but with all the motivation Cronos Diamante had going into this next match, I don’t think he was worried about anything else on the show.

Alan Ducard: And it’s not exactly a harsh “come down” for most of the fans after such an exciting Tao of Valor match. Most people were looking forward to seeing Cronos get some revenge on Diego de Cardenas and Hector Rodriguez, and I suppose a small portion wanted to see Hector take Cronos out. Either way, it seems like everyone’s got an opinion on this one, and although it’s not quite unanimous, it is close to it.

Landon Savage: Also factor in that the winner also gets a No Limits title shot at the upcoming pay per view and that adds even more to this match.

Mark Perletta: Both of these men are tough competitors. A lot of the LEGACY fans have seen Cronos compete in plenty of tough matches for years all over the world, so I don’t think anyone’s worried about his lack of experience in No Limits matches here in LEGACY

Alan Ducard: If you think back to the Rise of the Elite pay per view back in June of 2006, Cronos had a match which was under the same basic rules of the no limits division against Creed and Voodoo. It was a falls count anywhere match, so clearly Cronos is familiar with the style of match

Landon Savage: We don’t know as much about Hector Rodriguez, but from what we’ve seen he should do just fine, and from what we have heard he should excel.

Mark Perletta: A big factor in this match was whether Diego was going to try to get involved and what affect that would have on the match.

Landon Savage: I heard Hector backstage earlier tonight, and he wants to prove himself. He’s got lots of doubters coming into this match, but he’s the type of guy who wants to silence them.

Alan Ducard: With a fantastic match set to come, let’s see how he did with that.

Start : Footage from the Match

Hector throws a right at Cronos and connects, but Cronos digs down deep and fires one right back at the international rising star. After a trade of about four punches, Cronos finally gets the best of his opponent and sends him reeling into the ropes. Gripping onto his forearm, Cronos pulls back and sends Hector flying into the ropes. On the rebound, Hector tries for a clothesline, but before he can fully extend the arm, Cronos slaps his arms around Hector’s waist. Stopping his momentum completely, Cronos lifts up and slams Hector to the mat with a twisting belly-to-belly suplex.

Alan Ducard: Exquisite belly-to-belly by the crafty veteran!

Mark Perletta: Agreed. Cronos seemed to have dug down deep for that throw, because it looked easy. With Hector’s weight? It shouldn’t have looked easy.

Landon Savage: One thing’s for sure, Hector probably isn’t used to being thrown around so much in one match, as that is what has been happening all through his battle against Cronos tonight.

Cronos hooks a leg on Hector, and the referee slides into position...

One!

Two!

Hector kicks out with both feet, and Cronos rolls hard against the bottom and middle rope. Nodding, as if he expected Hector to kick out, Cronos went right back on the attack with a diving knee shot to Hector’s mid-section. Pressing against Hector’s shoulder blade and upper thigh, Cronos pushes off, extending his body completely vertical in the air, and crashes both knees down on the ribs of Hector. Hector rolls around in agony for a moment, before Cronos goes for a side mount. Nailing a few shots to Hector’s head, Cronos locks both of his hands underneath Hector’s upper back, completing what looks like to be a ground bear hug in the side mount position.

Alan Ducard: You certainly have to appreciate Cronos’ ability to dissect an opponent on the mat.

Mark Perletta: His training regimen in the fine arts of mat wrestling must’ve been impeccable.

Landon Savage: I don’t know if Hector’s ever had to deal with someone who has an MMA style before, but he’s certainly going to learn a thing or two after tonight.

Cronos cranks the pressure up ten fold as he tries to get into a sitting position, with his knees on Hector’s lower bread basket that forces Hector to push away in the opposite direction, creating a constricting effect on the ribs. Refusing to submit, Hector manages to have the wherewithal to reach up and grab the second rope from underneath. Cronos continues to hold on for a few seconds,. After finally breaking the hold, Cronos grins at the fans, getting a nice sized cheer from the Oklahoma crowd.

Landon Savage: Boy, that looked like "Old Cronos" if I’ve ever seen him before.

Alan Ducard: Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with "Old Cronos".

Mark Perletta: You need to be. There’s not many more sadistic or, for the most part, better at defeating people than "Old Cronos".

Dragging Hector up to his feet by the arm and shoulder blade, Cronos drives a knee into the mid-section. Instead of doubling over though, Hector fires back a head-butt directly into Cronos’ face, instantly causing a massive gash over the right eye of the veteran. Stunned, Cronos lets go immediately and covers the wound, seeing blood dripping down to the mat. Taking advantage of the momentary cease of offense, Hector runs back into the ropes, and lunges from the recoil with flying shoulder block that connects against Cronos chin, sending him down to the mat HARD.

Landon Savage: This match could be over in a hurry with Cronos losing blood like that.

Mark Perletta: Maybe, but I think it was accidental.

Alan Ducard: Accidental or not, it was effective.

Hector starts putting the stomps to Cronos’ prone body on the mat, dropping some leg drops here and there across Cronos’ bloody forehead. In no time flat, Cronos’ face turned into a crimson mask, and Hector goes for a quick cover.

One!

Cronos refuses to stay down and violently thrusts a shoulder up from the mat. Hector, getting frustrated, chops Cronos across the forehead, sending blood flying in a few different directions. Cronos tries getting off the mat on his own power, but Hector grabs Cronos by shoulder blade and lifts him up by the legs. What started out as a back body drop, Hector pushes down on the backs of Cronos’ legs, and sends him crashing hard with a see-saw spinebuster slam. Hooking the leg immediately, the referee is there for the count.

One!

Two!

Thr- Cronos kicks out!!!!

Landon Savage: I thought he had him!

Mark Perletta: Cronos’ body hit hard against the mat. I don’t know how he managed to find the strength to kick out!

Alan Ducard: Cronos has been on a losing streak. A man of his esteemed quality doesn’t have losing streaks. I think Cronos is doing everything in his power to end that streak.

Hector looks up at the ref, dumbfounded that he didn’t get the three count. Slamming his hand against the mat, Hector grabs Cronos and pulls him to his feet. Looking dead in his eyes, Hector runs back to the ropes, and goes for the same flying shoulder block that he connected with before. Cronos sees it coming though, and simply sidesteps it, causing Hector to crash face down into the mat amidst some of Cronos’ blood. Cronos then looks at the crowd, then back at Hector, and forms a toothy grin across his face.

Mark Perletta: I think Cronos is going for it!

Landon Savage: Yeah. We’re about to see the Ne-Han.

Cronos steps over Hector’s body, and drops down to his knees, straddling his opponent. Quickly, as Hector senses it coming, Cronos slaps on the katahajimi. Reaching back, Hector screams out in agony, as Cronos cinches the maneuver in deeply, arching back to the point where Hector’s spine is almost completely folded in the opposite direction. Without a choice in the matter, Hector starts slapping Cronos’ knee for the tap out.

Alan Ducard: Oh my! It’s over!

Josephina Colbert: Your winner of the match by submission... CRONOS... DIAMANTE!

Mark Perletta: After everything he's been through with Diego de Cardenas and Hector Rodriguez, Cronos Diamante picks up a victory here tonight and gets a measure of revenge... and to me it just seemed like Cronos wanted it more.

Landon Savage: Easy, now... It's dangerous to imply that Hector Rodriguez didn't want to win this match as badly as Cronos did.

Alan Ducard: At any rate, it was interesting that we didn't even see a bit of interference from Diego de Cardenas in this match. I thought certainly he'd at least make an appearance.

Landon Savage: I'm sure he was backstage watching it somewhere, but he probably has other things he's more interested in right now.

Contract Signing

The lull between the action is broken up by “Toreador” from Bizet’s opera Carmen, and the fans let out an appreciative response as they see Smith Cartwright walk out from the back.

Alan Ducard: I do believe Smith Cartwright may very well be the hardest working man in LEGACY, and it’s nice to see he got a theme song.

Mark Perletta: He might not be at the top of the list, but he’s sure close to it. You’d be surprised how much work Rob Belote and some of the other front office staff do for each of the shows. First people to show up to the arena, last ones to leave after a show.

Wearing a tan suit and holding a microphone in one hand and a clipboard in the other, the front office representative walks down the isle, shaking the hands of a few zealous fans, and then walking up the steel steps and entering the ring. Once he’s standing in the middle of the ring, the song fades under, allowing him to speak.

Smith Cartwright: I’m out here tonight to hold the official contract signing for a match to take place at our next pay per view event. Without any further ado, let’s bring out both of the individuals who will be involved in that match…

The lights in the arena cut abruptly to black at that point and for a brief moment there is relative silence in the arena as the crowd wonders who is about to walk through the curtain. Then a familiar guitar riff sounds throughout the arena and the crowd explodes as the come to their collective feet. A spotlight comes down over the entrance to the arena as “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath begins to play throughout the arena. Devastation steps through the curtains and a significant portion of the crowd all over the arena erupts upon seeing the inaugural LEGACY World champion. He’s wearing his trademark red long sleeved button down shirt, a pair of dark loose fitting blue jeans, and some brown Doc Marten boots. He is clean-shaven with his hair cut to stubble and wears a gold watch around his left wrist. He stops at the top of the entrance ramp for a moment and then continues down the ramp.

Alan Ducard: At STRIFE 26 we heard Stephen Rawlings lay out something of an open challenge, one that Devastation stepped up and attempted to fill. We didn’t get an answer from Stephen two weeks ago as to whether he was going to accept the challenge or not. As for what happened the past two weeks I can’t say for certain, but it appears that Devastation is going to be signing a contract in the next few minutes, and I suppose we’ll find out if Stephen Rawlings is going to be the other chap with his signature on the page.

Mark Perletta: That would be an interesting match to watch if it happens, as both Rawlings and Devastation have built their reputations on being great technical wrestlers.

Landon Savage: If you ask me, Stephen Rawlings seemed scared at STRIFE 26 when Devastation showed up, and I don’t think Rawlings wants to face him! I think Rawlings could be afraid of losing to Devastation, because if he does, that would mean Devastation is the better technical wrestler, and that basically kills Rawlings’ credibility.

Alan Ducard: I don’t believe one match could do all that, but it would be a huge feather in the cap of the winner if this supposed match does transpire.

Mark Perletta: As Devastation gets into the ring, we’re only moments away from finding out if that’s what’s in the cards, or if there might be some other match about to be signed.

Once Devastation climbs in through the ropes, the house lights come back up he is met by Josephina Colbert who hands him a microphone. He doesn’t use it, though, as he just stands to the side and lets Smith Cartwright continue.

Smith Cartwright: And the man who will be Devastation’s opponent at our next pay per view event…

The lights remain on as "Points of Authority" by Linkin Park begins to play and then red lights slowly light up the arena, followed by green and blue. When the singing begins Stephen Rawlings appears at the top of the ramp, looking very unclean: his hair disheveled, a beard growing. He’s wearing his "Good Enough Isn't: Perfect is!" tshirt and a pair of black jeans. He slowly makes his way down the ring, in a noncaring fashion, oblivious to the mixed reaction he’s getting from the fans until he climbs into the ring. Then, for the first time tonight, he stops and looks over the crowd, trying to understand their reaction. Josephina Colbert walks over to him and hands him a microphone, but just like Devastation, Rawlings doesn’t use it.

Smith Cartwright: Now gentlemen, based on what we heard back in Little Rock at STRIFE 26, the front office had our lawyers draw up a contract for a match between the two of you to take place at the upcoming pay per view which will follow STRIFE 29.

Smith looks over at Devastation.

Smith Cartwright: There are places for Devastation to sign, underlined in red…

Smith turns his attention to Stephen Rawlings.

Smith Cartwright: And there are places for Stephen Rawlings to sign, underlined in blue. Should you two want to compete against one another at the pay per view, now is the time to sign the contract. It is going to be a standard match with no time limit. There are no stipulations to this match, it will take place inside the ring, and if the action spills outside to the floor area, the referee will be lenient with his count, but he will not be lenient about interference or weapons, not that we expect any of that from either of you.

Smith hands the clipboard to Devastation and hands him a pen.

Smith Cartwright: Devastation, since you extended the offer to Stephen Rawlings back at STRIFE 26, we’ll have you sign the contract first.

Devastation takes a quick look at the contract he’s about to sign, then finds the lines where he is supposed to sign and puts his signature on paper, then hands the clipboard back to Smith Cartwright. As has been his trademark in the past, Devastation remains stoic and silent, looking right at Stephen Rawlings.

Smith Cartwright: Alrighty, and now, Stephen, if you sign the contract it all becomes official and we could get the chance to see one of the best technical wrestling matches in LEGACY history.

Once Smith Cartwright hands him the clipboard, Rawlings looks down at it for a moment, then looks back up at Cartwright.

Stephen Rawlings: Legacy's history? Make that wrestling history! Cuz when a man is technically perfect, so is the match...

Rawlings then looks over at Devastation.

Stephen Rawlings: No matter who his opponent is.

Looking down, Stephen Rawlings signs the contract and then hands it back to Cartwright.

Smith Cartwright: Now that we’ve taken care of the contract signing, I have one more announcement to make. On STRIFE 28, each of you will be having a warm-up / scouting match, aimed with the dual purpose of getting you ready for your pay per view match and giving one another a chance to scout you in person. Devastation, you will be taking on the best technical wrestler Japan has to offer, Bushido Buntai member Katsuro Yoshida.

There’s a modest reaction from the crowd as they sound excited to see Devastation back in a LEGACY ring for a match. Devastation slowly nods his head, not taking his eye off of Rawlings. Smith then turns to look at Rawlings.

Smith Cartwright: And Stephen Rawlings, you have the task of taking on one of Great Britain’s top technical wrestlers, one of the newest members of the LEGACY roster… John Iley!!

There’s another modest reaction from the crowd, and Stephen Rawlings just shrugs his shoulders, turning his back on Cartwright and Devastation and just exits the ring, walking back up the ramp. The scene then cuts back to the recap position.

Mark Perletta: Now this should be interesting. Not only are we going to get Stephen Rawlings vs Devastation at the pay per view, but on our next show we're going to get two great matches.

Alan Ducard: I can attest to the fact that Iley's a very talented technical wrestler, so he should match up very well against Stephen Rawlings.

Landon Savage: Katsuro's not a bad technical wrestler, either, so he could pose a serious threat to Devastation.

Mark Perletta: Let's not forget that in one of his first matches here in LEGACY, Katsuro Yoshida defeated Stephen Rawlings, what's to say he couldn't beat Devastation?

Number One Contenders Match
LEGACY World Championship

"Red Hot" Ray Willmott vs
"Strong Style Dragon" Cade Sydal

Alan Ducard: Our penultimate match of the night was a very important one, the finals of our 4 – man tournament to see who gets the title shot at the next pay per view.

Mark Perletta: A main event shot at a ppv is a big deal, something both Willmott and Sydal have probably experienced before, but never here in LEGACY thus far.

Alan Ducard: Both men have the talent to main event a pay per view, both have the charisma to lead an organization, so it’s just a matter of opportunity.

Landon Savage: That’s what this little tournament was all about. Diego, John Thomas, Cade, Ray… they’ve all proven themselves to be great competitors, they’ve just never had a World Title shot in LEGACY, so this was the opportunity to see who could rise to the top of that group to get the first shot

Mark Perletta: No offense to Stephen Rawlings or Greyson Blade or Dan Stein or Devastation or even Marcus Marion, but sometimes it’s nice to see new blood get chances to prove things, and that’s how faces of entire organizations change.

Landon Savage: That’s how Loco Martinez happened on the belt. He stepped up, got himself an opportunity, and I’d say he made the most of it.

Alan Ducard: The excitement level for each of the two first round matches was high, but this one was crazy good.

Mark Perletta: That’s because both men wanted it so much, both men wanted to put themselves into the spot to make it big time, this is the biggest match of their LEGACY tenure so far.

Alan Ducard: Both seemed to be cool calm collected, ready for this match. Neither of them looked too nervous. LEGACY fans got a treat tonight because both Ray Willmott and Cade Sydal looked like they were at their best tonight.

Mark Perletta: This whole tournament was a very fair way to do things, and so you have to applaud whoever came up with the idea and got the ball rolling, because it’s lead to some big matches so far.

Alan Ducard: It was some exciting stuff, so let’s get to it.

Start : Footage from the Match

Cade Sydal quickly sends Ray Wilmott into the corner and charges, leaping upward he drives both knees into Willmott's sternum! Cade shoves off Willmott's chest and turns, rolling through to his feet once he hits the canvas, Cade turns and rushes Willmott again, eating an elbow!

Mark Perletta: Ray Wilmott may have just halted Cade Sydal's momentum with that well-placed elbow!

Alan Ducard: Indeed it appears that way.

Ray explodes out of the corner with a clothesline, but Cade ducks it and runs up the corner and moonsaults! Ray ducks under the moonsault, and Cade tucks his feet in, landing on his feet! Ray turns around and Cade snaps up onto his shoulders for a hurricanrana and hooks for the pin! But Wilmott rolls through into a sunset flip instead!

Alan Ducard: Wilmott just countered a hurricanrana for a pin!

ONE!

TWO!

Cade kicks out quickly!

Landon Savage: But it wasn't good enough to take the victory.

Cade and Ray both scramble to their feet, and Cade connects with a hard knife edge chop to the chest. Ray retaliates with a forearm to the side of the head, and Cade responds with a stiff kick to the ribs with his left leg, followed by a back roundhouse kick to the chin that sends Wilmott through the ropes to the outside!

Landon Savage: Did you see that kick?!

Mark Perletta: Cade has been in steady control for the last several minutes, even though Wilmott controlled a lot of the opening portion of this match, and I believe Cade could have knocked Wilmott out with that kick!

Alan Ducard: That's no bloody joke! He caught Ray right on the side of the face with that!

Ray, however, does start to make it to his feet. Cade slingshots himself onto the top rope and soars off of it with a Shooting Star Press onto Wilmott on the floor! Cade pulls Ray to his feet and rolls him into the ring, slingshotting over the top rope flawlessly, Cade turns a somersault over Ray's chest and turns quickly to hook the legs!

ONE!

TWO!

TH--!

Ray Wilmott kicks out!

Mark Perletta: Ray is showing an incredible amount of fire tonight!

Landon Savage: But Cade Sydal isn't exactly being discouraged by Wilmott's persistance. It's funny, these two guys LIKE each other, but they both want a chance to go for the World Title here in LEGACY!

Cade pulls Ray to his feet and starts hammering him in the side of the face with forearms, rocking him. Cade hits the ropes and leaps up with a spinning wheel kick! Wilmott ducks under the kick, and Cade spins through maneuvering to land on his feet! Cade turns around and Ray grabs him by the back of the head and drops to a knee, delivering a hard jawbreaker! Wilmott off the ropes now and he catches Cade with a running STO, driving him to the canvas! But Ray is down too, recovering from the recent onslaught!

Landon Savage: Now THAT is a move that will turn the tide back in Ray's favor!

Alan Ducard: And it couldn't happen any sooner for him!

Ray slowly pushes off his chest as Cade rolls to his side. Ray pulls Cade the rest of the way to his feet and snaps a chop into his chest. Ray grabs Cade by the left wrist and sends him into the corner hard, chest first. Cade staggers backward and out, and Ray hooks Cade in a waistlock! Ray snaps back with a German suplex, and rolls backward to maintain his waistlock grip!

Alan Ducard: A huge German Suplex, and Ray Wilmott isn't done there!

Ray swings his arms up, catching Cade for a full nelson, and snaps back with a Dragon Suplex! Ray turns to the side, maintaining the full nelson the whole time as he pulls Cade back to his feet!

Mark Perletta: And a Dragon Suplex has Cade dizzy thanks to bing dropped on his head!

Ray quickly hooks his right arm over Cade's right shoulder and then repeats with his left arm, chickenwinging both arms he snaps bck and bridges with a Tiger Suplex!

Landon Savge: The trifecta is complete with a Tiger Suplex!

ONE!

TWO!

THR--!

Cade kicks out hard! Ray slowly pushes to his feet and pulls Cade to a standing position but pulls him right into a standing headscissors. Ray pulls Cade upward, looking for a powerbomb! Cade pushes upward and lands with both feet on Ray's shoulders before jumping off and turns in mid-air, landing sitting on Ray's shoulders, Cade snaps back with a reverse hurricanrana, making Ray backflip onto his own head!

Mark Perletta: Cade Sydal just delivered an insane PoisonRana!

Landon Savage: He countered a powerbomb by jumping on the man's shoulders then turned and drove him down! Yeah, that's the definition of insane, Mark!

Cade slowly pushes to his feet and scrambles toward Ray, rolling him over he hooks both legs deep!

ONE!

TWO!

THREe

NO! Ray Wilmott kicks out at the absolute last possible moment!

Alan Ducard: Wow! "Red Hot" just kept himself in this match, thankfully!

Mark Perletta: How does anyone kick out of that?!

Cade seems to be asking the same thing, as he pulls Ray up into an inverted facelock. He looks to be signaling for his Roll of the Dice variation, the Nightcap. Ray grabs Cade's wrist and turns himself out and catches him with a short-arm elbow to the face! Ray holds the back of his neck as he drops to a knee himself! Ray pulls Cade up in a facelock and swings his right arm in a circle, calling for the Ultimatum!

Landon Savage: We could be seeing an Ultimatum, the tornado DDT of Wilmott's, in Cade's future!

Alan Ducard: Here it comes!

Ray runs up the corner and swings! Cade counters by dropping a knee and swinging Willmott's body out, driving him chest-first across the upraised knee! Cade rolls over Wilmott's back and hooks both the right leg and the right shoulder, rolling Willmott onto his shoulders with an Oklahoma Roll!

ONE!

TWO!

TH--!

Ray kicks out! Cade gets to his feet, but Ray rolls around Cade's leg and hooks him for a schoolboy!

ONE!

TWO!

TH--!

Cade kicks out!

Alan Ducard: These two men are displaying immense guts and courage, both vying to just have a chance to face whomever the Legacy World Champion may be after tonight!

Cade hooks Ray in a front facelock and drops into a small package!

ONE!

TWO!

THR--!

Ray kicks out! Cade comes at Ray and throws a high kick! Ray ducks and hooks Cade in a waistlock and rolls backward with an O'Connor Roll! Ray leans backward, bridging!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

The bell sounds, just before Cade kicks out, unable to kick out before three!

Landon Savage: Ray Wilmott did it!

Mark Perletta: He managed to keep Cade's shoulders down just long enough!

Josephina Colbert: Here is your Number One Contender to the LEGACY World Title... winner by pinfall... "Rrrred HOT!!"... Ray... Wwwwwillmotttt!!!

Alan Ducard: And now we know that at the upcoming pay per view, Ray Willmott will make up one-half of the main event for the LEGACY World Title.

Mark Perletta: I had a feeling he was going to win this match, and I'm excited. Cade Sydal brings great skill to his matches, but I just feel like Ray Willmott brings a certain intangiable element that just gives things... a different feeling.

Landon Savage: Frankly all this love for Ray Willmott people keep showing is giving me a not-so-special feeling in my stomach. The guy's talented, sure, but I don't need to keep hearing about how "special" the guy is all the time. I'm not liking how conversations will probably go if he does beat Jake Dominion or Loco Martinez at the upcoming pay per view. I'm not liking them at all.

Stepping Stone

The scene opens to Eli Storm’s locker room. Storm is staring at the mirror, splashing water on his face. Suddenly a voice bellows from behind him.

Voice: They are mis-using you here, Eli…they don’t respect the career you have built.

Storm: That’s not true…they need me, I’m a star maker.

Voice: Star maker…no, you’re nothing more than their way of jump starting falling stars.

Storm: That’s not true…they need me!!!

Voice: Yeah, they need you to make Stellar look like a million bucks. They need you to make Willmott look like a serious threat to any belt. They need you to make Dexter look like someone actually gives a sh*t about him? Face it…someone needs a boost, you’re the stepping stone.

Storm: Stepping stone!?!

Storm turns around and it appears the voice has disappeared. Storm just stares at the empty space for a moment.

Storm: We will see, you son of a bitch…we will see…

The scene fades as Storm starts to exit his locker room.

LEGACY World Title Match
Jake Dominion vs
Loco Martinez ©

Mark Perletta: And now it’s time for the main event and the World Title match.

Alan Ducard: For those of you who might not know, Jake Dominion won this opportunity in the main event of STRIFE 26 in a number one contenders match against Justin Moreno, and ever since then I’ve been looking forward to this match very much so.

Landon Savage: This is Jake’s first World Title shot here in LEGACY. He was involved in the tag title situation for a while, first getting the belts with Eric Wolfson, then defending them for quite a long stretch of time, then trying to get them back from The Diabolik. After that I think his feud with Crash is fairly well publicized.

Mark Perletta: After beating Crash at DESTINED FOR GREATNESS in that cage match, the front office clearly thought Jake had stepped up, so they put him in that number one contenders match, he stepped up again, and this time he got himself a shot at the belt

Landon Savage: He’s only “done” with Crash momentarily because the front office wanted to make a point to not let things drag on. Had they let him, Crash would have locked back up with Jake Dominion and proven that the cage match was a fluke.

Alan Ducard: Instead they decided across the board, not only with the Crash and Dominion situation but with others as well, not to let the upcoming pay per view be a series of rematches from DESTINED FOR GREATNESS. They also did it to help give tensions some chance to fade.

Mark Perletta: And I can understand that. They are trying to keep run-ins from happening when one person seems to be moving on from a heated feud when the other isn’t ready to. There’s a good sign of things already, because you didn’t see Crash run in on Dominion’s match at STRIFE 26, and that allowed us to get a clear winner.

Alan Ducard: I, for one, will be hoping to see that trend continue to be the case. It is an interesting strategy by the front office, see how it continues to play out

Landon Savage: Part of what makes this an interesting match is that Dominion and Loco don’t have much history with each other. They had two tag team matches against each other a year ago or more, but I can’t think of any singles matches against each other.

Mark Perletta: This is not just a big test for Dominion, but it’s also Loco’s second big test with that belt, the first test being the rematch with Rawlings.

Alan Ducard: Some analysts have stated that Loco Martinez’s reign with that championship belt is merely just smoke and mirrors, but he can rid himself of some of his detractors with a successful title defense tonight.

Landon Savage: Enough talking already. Perletta, this is your last match, you want to do the honors?

Mark Perletta: Thanks, Landon. With no further ado, let’s get to the footage.

Start : Footage from the Match

A kick to the gut from the champion doubles Jake Dominion over, and after a quick smirk, Loco moves in. Grabbing him by one arm and by the side of his head, Martinez swings through, going for a swinging neckbreaker, but halfway through the move Dominion blocks it and steps out of it. Standing upright, Jake grabs Loco by the shoulder, spins him around and rocks him backwards with a hard right hand. After another right hand, Loco nearly falls down, and then Jake steps in and hits a roundhouse kick that drops THE Legacy Superstar down to the mat, getting a huge ovation of cheers from the fans all over the arena.

Mark Perletta: Huge kick from Jake Dominion just leveling the champ!

Alan Ducard: It looks as though the champ has had enough already.

Instead of getting up off the mat, Loco rolls out of the ring underneath the bottom rope. With one hand on his chest where he got kicked, Loco starts heading up the ramp. When he sees what’s going on, Jake Dominion slides out of the ring and chases up the ramp after him. When he gets there, Jake spins Loco around and reaches back to hit him with a right hand, but before he can do that Jake gets poked in the eye by Loco Martinez who gets a big grin on his face. Dropping down to one knee, Loco drills Dominion with a headbutt to the gut.

Landon Savage: There you go, the champ knew what he was doing all along, just as I suspected.

Alan Ducard: I concur, it appears Loco was running a scam on Jake Dominion, knowing the challenger would follow him up the ramp.

Loco grabs Jake by the head and then runs down the ramp, pulling Jake along with him. When they get to the bottom of the ramp, Loco jumps feet first, sliding into the ring, drilling Jake’s ribs on the apron. Keeping in on the attack, Loco gets to his feet, grabs the top rope, flips himself over, dropkicking Jake down to the arena floor.

Mark Perletta: The champion in control of things right now, and these fans don’t seem happy about how he took over the offensive.

Landon Savage: Who cares, he’s giving them an entertaining match.

Taking the challenger by the head, Loco lifts Jake up off the ground and tosses him into the ring under the bottom rope. Jake rolls about halfway across the ring and starts to work his way up off the mat. Once Loco gets up onto the apron, he waits for Dominion to start to get to his feet, and then Loco hops up to the top rope, flying towards Jake after the springboard. Before Martinez can hit a move, however, Jake Dominion leaps up off his feet and hits a dropkick which catches Loco right in the gut, dropping him right to the mat.

Alan Ducard: Great way to turn the tide by Jake Dominion, and it’s moves like that which are going to someday gain Jake Dominion another World Title to his resume.

Mark Perletta: That “someday” could be tonight, Jake Dominion could walk out of the arena here tonight with the LEGACY World Championship!

Lifting Loco up off the mat, Jake steps right in next to him and takes him right back down to his back with a Side Russian Legsweep. When Jake gets back to his feet, he’s met with an ovation of cheers from the fans, so he takes moment to raise an arm, playing up to the fans. As Loco starts getting to his feet, Jake goes back to work, grabbing Loco by the arm and sending him into the ropes with an irish whip. Upon hitting the ropes, Loco stops his momentum by hooking his arms around the top rope. Before Loco can do anything else, Jake Dominion runs in and hits a clothesline that sends Loco out of the ring over the top rope.

Mark Perletta: The challenger is on the attack and gaining some momentum, and now he’s following Loco outside of the ring!

Alan Ducard: He probably wants to make up for what happened outside the ring a couple minutes ago.

On the outside, Jake Dominion grabs Loco Martinez by the back of the neck, turns, and runs Loco right into the corner ringpost. Not letting Loco fall to the arena floor, Jake grabs Loco and tosses him into the ring under the bottom rope.

Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion keeping things fast paced and furious, not relenting at all.

Landon Savage: And that’s exactly what he’s going to have to do if he’s going to win this match, because if he lets up at all, Loco’s going to pounce!

Rejoining Loco in the ring, Dominion gets to his feet, picks up the champion and sends him into the corner hard chest first with an irish whip. Pausing ever so briefly, Jake Dominion charges in and goes for a running forearm shot, but Loco feels Dominion charging in and hops up onto the second rope with one foot, then top rope with the other foot, then backflips over Jake. As soon as he hits the mat, Loco leaves his feet again and hits a dropkick to the middle of Dominion’s back.

Landon Savage: Incredible presence of mind by Loco Martinez to not only know to get out of the way, but to hit a move of his own like that!

Grabbing him by the shoulder, Loco spins Jake around, grabs him by the wrist and irish whips him across the ring. Before Jake can even hit the corner Loco charges in after him, leaps horizontally as if to go for a high cross body block, but instead he drills Jake with both forearms to the face. His legs going over the top rope, Loco ends up standing on the apron. Quickly, Loco gets up onto second rope, grabs Jake by the head and then dives towards the middle of the ring, slamming Dominion’s face down onto the mat.

Mark Perletta: I don’t know if I’ve seen a move like that in quite some time, if ever!

Alan Ducard: I don’t know what to call that move, possibly a modified faceslam, but it was effective!

Grabbing Loco by the head, Loco lifts Jake up off the mat, hooks his head under his arm and then immediately lifts him up in the air, holds him there for the briefest of moments and then drops straight down and hits a brainbuster. Standing back up, Loco taunts the booing masses, inciting them even further. He continues to taunt them even as Jake Dominion starts to get to his feet. His back turned to Dominion, Loco doesn’t see his opponent get to his feet, which starts to make the fans all over the arena hopeful. Their hopes are crushed, though, as Loco fires backwards with a mulekick that catches Jake in the gut, doubling him over.

Landon Savage: Yet again, the people think Jake Dominion is going to get one up on Loco, but THE Legacy Superstar is all over it!

Alan Ducard: He should be paying more mind to the match and less to the fans.

After smirking and mocking the crowd again, Loco turns around and runs into the ropes, rebounding and coming directly towards Jake Dominion. At the last moment, Jake steps to the side, spins around and hits a side hook kick that catches Loco across the throat, clotheslining him down to the mat. Struggling to not lose any ground, Loco works to get up off the mat as quickly as possible, but Jake grabs him by the head and drops him right back down onto the mat with a nasty looking swinging DDT.

Mark Perletta: If Loco’s listening to the fans right now, he probably doesn’t like what he’s hearing.

Alan Ducard: I don’t believe he’s listening to the fans, but he’s going to hear them much more closely if he can escape the ring like he’s trying to do presently.

Having stayed on the mat, Loco rolls towards the edge of the ring, trying once again to escape. This time Jake grabs him by the ankle, dragging him backwards, keeping him inside the ring. Jake lifts Loco to his feet and immediately irish whips him into the ropes. On the return Jake shoves Loco upwards into the air, bringing him down on his knee with an inverted atomic drop. With the champ stunned, Jake pivots and takes him down with a roundhouse kick.

Alan Ducard: The champ’s in trouble, he’s in a world of hurt right now just trying to survive, and Jake Dominion is going to the top rope.

Mark Perletta: Dominion on the top rope looking for something high risk.

Loco struggles to his feet, but then falls back to his knee, leaning against the rope, near the corner. Jake continues to wait as the crowd buzzes. Loco looks up, and his eyes widen, but he quickly jumps to his feet, and lunges with a superkick to Jake's left knee. The crowd "OOOohhhhs" as Jake crotches the top turnbuckle and then slumps to the map in a heap, holding his "groinal" region as well as his left knee.

Alan Ducard: A tide turning maneuver, there...

Landon Savage: And dare I coin it??? The "KNEE-Capitator"!

Loco smirks and begins to hone in on the injured knee with a few quick stomps. He takes the leg and buries the toe of his boot right into the hamstring above the injured knee.

Mark Perletta: Loco, shark that he is... smells blood!

After stomping down on the now injured leg a couple more times, Loco Martinez grabs Dominion by the arm and hoists him up to his feet. Grabbing him by the leg, Loco swings Jake over with the dragon screw legwhip by the injured leg. Not letting go, Martinez helps Jake get right back up to his feet. When Jake gets up to his feet, he doesn’t wait even a moment before swinging his other leg over, going for the enzuigiri. Loco spots the foot coming and ducks underneath it. Dominion’s foot lands right back down onto the mat, and he then swings it back the opposite direction and connects to the back of Loco’s head.

Mark Perletta: Down goes the champ! How quickly the tide has turned back in Dominion’s favor!

Alan Ducard: Oh now here we go, after all that talk earlier about easing tensions and having clean finishes, look who we have coming down the ramp.

Landon Savage: What, you thought Crash was just going to forget about Dominion? Not that easily…

The camera follows the direction of the booing and we see Crash slowly coming down the ramp. Taking a brief moment to survey the situation, Jake Dominion notices Crash coming, sees how far away he is and how slow he’s going and then goes back to work on Loco Martinez. The referee, however, isn’t as comfortable with the potential for interference, and as soon as he sees Crash he moves over to that side of the ring and starts yelling up the ramp towards the Diabolik member who is now about halfway down the ramp and still coming slowly.

Alan Ducard: Crash getting an earful, and I’m sure threats of fines and suspensions are probably being communicated to him right about now.

Landon Savage: And it’s not going to matter.

Mark Perletta: Wait a minute, there’s Diego de Cardenas! He just jumped the security rail! He’s in the ring already!! I was surprised when he didn’t interfere in the Hector / Cronos match earlier, but now I see that he had bigger plans!!

Alan Ducard: This must be why Diego went to see Crash earlier, he was setting up a distraction!!

As Diego gets to his feet in the ring, Jake Dominion spots him and then runs over and drills him with a right hand, and the crowd goes berserk as Jake looks to be nullifying the interference. Diego quickly rakes the eyes and connects with a forearm shot to the jaw that sets Jake back a step. Finishing things off, Jake Dominion takes a step back, then a step forward and DRILLS Diego in the mouth with the ICED OUT Superkick. As soon as Diego hits the mat, he rolls out of the ring and the referee turns around to see what’s going on. Jake Dominion also turns around, looking for his opponent. As he finds Loco, the champ grabs Loco by the wrist, pulls him in as he swings upwards with his foot…

BAM!!

LOCapitator!!!

Jake’s out! Loco goes for the pinfall…

ONE…

TWO…

THREE.

Not even leaving his knees, the referee signals for the bell.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner… and STILL LEGACY World Champion… THE Legacy Superstar… “El Capitan”…. LOCO… MARRRRRRRTINEZ!!

Mark Perletta: With an assist from Diego de Cardenas and Crash, Loco Martinez is able to retain the LEGACY World Title, and now I assume it will be Loco Martinez taking on Ray Willmott in the main event at the upcoming pay per view.

Alan Ducard: What a match that will be... but you have to know that when Jake Dominion recovers from being kicked in the head, he's not going to be too thrilled with how things went down here tonight.

Landon Savage: He's going to have to live with it, though. He can give all the lectures he wants on what other people should do, but he made himself a marked man with the way he conducted his business here tonight.

The referee is handed a necklace by the time-keeper with the key to Loco's cabinet on it, and the ref hands it back to Loco Martinez. After kissing the key, Loco puts the necklace back around his neck and stands proudly looking down at his trophy case which stands atop the entrance ramp with T.Rex and Arch Angel standing next to it. As he exits the ring, Loco walks right past Diego de Cardenas and then passes Crash halfway up the ramp, not really "noticing" either of the two men.

Mark Perletta: I'd just like to say that I've enjoyed being able to be a part of this broadcast team and will miss being a part of all the action... I'm sure things will run smoothely even without me. This is the last time I'll be saying this for a while, but we've run out of the allotted time we have for tonight... for Alan Ducard and Landon Savage, I'm Mark Perletta... goodnight from SuperCard STRIFE 27, thank you Oklahoma City for being such a great crowd.
