Pre-Show
6.22.2007

We open in a darkened arena. In the middle a ring is bathed in bright white light. Standing inside that ring the Champions of Legacy standing in a "V" shape. On the right, The Syndicate, belts on their shoulders Gryffin and James are highly animated, hyping each other up, slapping one another on the shoulder, yelling, and nodding.

On the left side Strong Style Dragon cradles his newly won Tao of Valor belt. Diego de Cardenas belts around his waist hops with energy. In the center, Stephen Rawlings wears his belt around his waist. His arms folded across his chest. He stares intensely, and as we slowly zoom on the Legacy world champion.

The opening guitar of Skrape's "Rise" explodes, and the champions of Legacy are replaced by the rest of the Legacy roster. Hunger in their eyes. An explosion and quick clips of brawls begin to play.

"I'm defensive never questioned
I commit to no direction
"

John Thomas and Crash brawling backstage. X-Calibur nailing a clothesline. Issac Entragian slamming an opponent to the mat with authority.

"I won't break down into weakness
If it feels good, it's a sickness
"

Quick flash of finishers: Rocky Stellar's "Stellar Drop". Jake Dominion's "Ice Breaker". Cronos Diamante's "Countdown to Extinction". and capping it off with Marcus Marion's "Revolutionary
Thrill".

"I won't give up until the blood soaks my fingers
I recognize that the difference is my spirit
"

Eli Storm lays Rocky Stellar out with a sick chair shot.

"Rise up in the fold -- I'm saved "

A Legacy referee raises Gryffin and James Win's hands in victory. Turns into Rawlings celebrating his victory in the Hawkins Memorial Tournament, and finishes with Rawlings hoisting the Legacy World title over his head, victorious.

A brief pause. A circling shot of Diego on the top rope. One beat and Diego launches off the top rope nailing his corkscrew plancha on Katsuro Yoshida.

"The reflection in the mirror
Is the vision any clearer
"

Loco looking up after his win over Crazy Boy. We swing around to see Dan Stein backing up the ramp, pointing at Martinez.

"Though it may seem that I'm angry
Your reaction is what makes me
"

Gigantus Awesomo slaps Tim Jones. Jones pauses a second then returns the favor slapping Awesomo.

Quick flash to Ray Willmott standing inside a Legacy ring for the first time. Quick flash to Justin Moreno's face to face confrontation with Mirage.

"I won't give up until the blood soaks my fingers
I recognize that the difference is my spirit "

Quick cut to Finishers: X-Calibur's "X-Terminator", Dan Stein's "Lights Out", Justin Moreno's "Extreme Measures", and Crash's "Aero Zeppelin Driver".

"Rise up in the fold -- I'm saved"

We flash to that same opening shot. The Champions of Legacy. We flash again... and this time the rest of the Legacy roster stands over the champions shoulders. Hungry.

TONIGHT'S LINEUP

The show opens on a shot of Mark Perletta, Landon Savage and Joey C sitting behind a desk that resembles what you would see anchors sit behind in the studio of a sports news program such as Sports Center. Instead of the typical elaborate backdrop in a studio with flatscreen monitors, the trio are sitting in a local Miami sports bar restaurant, a wall of flatscreens behind them.

Mark Perletta: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Call to Arms pre-show webcast, streaming to you over the internet in LEGACY’s first attempt to bring you original content over the web. Over the next thirty minutes we will be bringing you recaps and happenings from tonight’s show which ended a few minutes ago in an arena down the street, the last LEGACY event prior to the big pay per view.

Landon Savage: Despite the fact that tonight’s show had fewer matches and a smaller venue than most events LEGACY typically puts on, the fans were rabid, looking to get their weekend started off right, an appetizer just 44 hours before the start of the actual Call to Arms event.

Joey C: And for whatever reason, the front office decided to not have us do commentary during the live event, so the footage you all are going to see is raw, just the action, no informative or entertaining banter helping guide you through the action. I think once we get a bit down the road and the front office looks back on this pre-show, they’re going to do things differently.

Mark Perletta: They very well might, but for now we’re just doing things how they’ve asked. The first match of the evening was a contest between two of the up-and-coming tag teams on the roster, as Fast Times took on the team of Allen Franks and Jerry Starr, the tag team now apparently known as “The Canuckin’ Cowboys”.

Joey C: I don’t know why, but that name is really starting to grow on me.

Landon Savage: It would…

Mark Perletta: Both of these two teams are trying to establish themselves on the ever-growing tag team landscape here in LEGACY. Allen Franks has upped the ante for his team, though, as he made it fairly clear that if they don’t win this match against Jimmy Smith and Pat Reynolds, he more than likely won’t be teaming up with Jerry Starr any more in the foreseeable future.

Joey C: And that would be a shame because they have so much potential as a tag team pairing.

Landon Savage: Look, if they can’t win matches together, they probably shouldn’t be teaming together. It’s that simple.

Mark Perletta: A lot of these very same things were said about Fast Times, but Jimmy Smith and Pat Reynolds worked through some of their growing pains and actually had a very good match against Gryffin Anselm and James Win back at the Jacksonville SuperCard, and I think, in time, if Allen Franks and Jerry Starr continue to wrestle together, the “Canuckin’ Cowboys” could be tag team champions someday. To get to that point, though, they might have to win the first match of the Call to Arms pre-show.

Joey C: And we’ve got some footage from that match, so how about we stop talking about “what if” and we get to the action?

Canuckin' Cowboys (Franks & Starr)

vs Fast Times (Big Jimmy & Reynolds)

Reaching out, Jimmy Smith makes the tag in to Pat Reynolds. Reynolds gets into the ring as Smith is exiting, the two men getting caught up a little bit in the exchange. Seeing an opportunity, Jerry Starr runs in and hits a forearm shot that drills Pat, sending him into the corner. After sending some rapid fire right hands, Jerry hooks his arm under the arm of Racin' Reynolds, runs towards the center of the ring, then uses his momentum to hit a running hiptoss.

As soon as Jerry Starr gets to his feet, he spins around and lands an elbow drop to the sternum. Getting up off the mat, Jerry Starr reaches out and tags in Allen Franks. As Pat Reynolds starts to get up off the mat, and Franks leans over, grabs him by the head and whips him backwards with a snap suplex. Trying to stay in on the attack, Allen Franks gets to his feet and runs into the ropes. On the return, Franks is surprised as Pat Reynolds gets up off the mat sooner than expected. The NASCAR loving competitor steps in, grabs Allen Franks, lifts him up off the mat, spins around and drives him into the mat with a spinebuster.

Taking Franks by the wrist, Reynolds lifts Allen up off the mat and goes for an irish whip, but Franks is able to shift his feet and his momentum, reversing the irish whip. As Racin' Reynolds comes charging off the ropes, Allen steps in, leaps off his feet and sends Pat down to the the mat with a leg lariat. Once he gets back to his feet, Allen Franks grabs Pat Reynolds' legs, setting him up and going for a Sharpshooter. After he grapevines the legs, spins over and sits down into the submission hold, Allen Franks is grabbed from behind and taken down to the mat with a bulldog by Jimmy Smith.

Both Allen Franks and Pat Reynolds try to force themselves up off the mat, and wanting to get back on the attack, Allen Franks makes sure he's the first one to his feet, and he immediately runs towards the ropes to gain some momentum. As he hits the ropes, Allen Franks doesn't even notice that Jerry Starr makes the blind tag, making him now the legal man. When Franks rebounds off the ropes, he sees that Pat Reynolds is already back on his feet. Knowing that Franks is charging in fast, Reynolds leaps up off the mat to try to leapfrog his opponent. Allen Franks slows his momentum and grabs Reynolds out of the air, pulling him straight down into an inverted atomic drop.

Grabbing Reynolds behind the knees on both legs, Allen pulls upwards, sending Pat down onto his shoulders, his legs up in the air. After leaning forwards, Allen Franks leans back and goes for a slingshot maneuver, and just as he does so, Jerry Starr leaps forwards and hits a variation of his STARRSTRUCK Front Dropkick, catching a catapulted Pat Reynolds right in the face. Allen Franks is surprised by the impact, but the referee had seen the blind tag and makes the count as Jerry Starr goes for the pinfall attempt.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!!

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner by pinfall... Allen Franks and Jerry Starr.. the Canuckin' Cowboys!!!

Mark Perletta: An impressive double-team combination maneuver there by Allen Franks and Jerry Starr allowing them to pick up the victory, and I assume this means these two will continue to team up.

Landon Savage: It was an impactful move there by the "Canuckin' Cowboys", but Allen Franks wasn't exactly a willing and active participant in it. He just happened to hit a move that Jerry Starr capitalized on. You could tell by the look on his face that the combination wasn't exactly planned by those two.

Joey C: I'm just disappointed that a GREAT talent like Jerry Starr is going to be wasted in a tag team with Allen Franks. I'd be happier if you were to take the two teams in this match, split them both up and put Jerry Starr with Jimmy Smith and then let Pat Reynolds team up with Allen Franks. That would be the best allocation of talent available, because then the front office could focus on giving Starr & Jimmy opportunities, and Franks & Reynolds could just kinda... go away.

Landon Savage: Don't hold back any of your stronger opinions on the subject, Joe. I'm not sure why, but Jerry Starr and Calgary Carl couldn't look happier with the result of this match. Furthermore, I don't know quite why Allen Franks doesn't look thrilled, but give it some time, he'll come around.

Mark Perletta: We'll see how long these two stick together as a team, which I predict largely depends on how successful they are tagging up, but only time will tell. Right now, though, we've got our second match of the Call to Arms pre-show event, pitting Matt Towers against Crazy Boy.

Landon Savage: And before you go calling this a "David vs Goliath" match, how about we just call it like it is. This match is a chance for Matt Towers to set the record straight and get some redemption for what happened at STRIFE 22 in that Number One Contenders Five Man No Limits Absurdity.

Joey C: Matt Towers was the favorite to win that match, and if it weren't for double-teamings and distractions, there's no way Matt Towers would've lost that match, let alone get pinned by Crazy Boy. I mean, maybe someone else could've scored the pinfalls, and Matt Towers still might've been left out of the No Limits Championship Match at CALL TO ARMS, but to get pinned by CRAZY BOY?! That's just not right...

Mark Perletta: Well he might not have the best record of wins and losses, but Crazy Boy is certainly one of the harder workers on the roster. And to be honest, his high energy offense that makes his matches so fun to watch is probably a hinderance to him. He takes lots of risks and some of them pay off, some of them don't. How would he do against Matt Towers one-on-one? Let's get to the match already in progress.

Matt Towers vs Crazy Boy

Reaching out and grabbing his opponent by the neck, Matt Towers starts choking Crazy Boy. Trying to get Towers to stop, the referee admonishes him, and then starts to administer the five count, threatening to disqualify him. When the count reaches four, Towers lifts and throws Crazy Boy across the ring in a display of power and defiance.

Slowly, Crazy Boy helps himself up off the mat in the corner with the help of the ropes. Once Crazy Boy is almost completely back up to his feet, Towers charges in and attempts an elbow smash, but Crazy Boy moves out of the way just in time and Towers goes crashing into the corner.

After stumbling a few steps towards the middle of the ring, Crazy Boy turns and charges into the corner, leaping off the mat and nailing Matt Towers with a double leg kick to the gut, doubling Towers over. Getting out onto the apron, Crazy Boy slingshots himself from the apron into the ring, dropping his leg down across the back of Matt Towers' neck, dropping him to the mat. Crazy Boy immediately goes for the pinfall attempt.

One...

Two...

No! Matt Towers shoves Crazy Boy off of him, throwing him a few feet like he was pushing away a bench press bar.

Undeterred, Crazy Boy gets to his feet and then gets out onto the apron, quickly climbing up to the top rope. Noticing that Towers is back on his feet, Crazy Boy leaps off, going for a double axhandle smash attempt, but Matt Towers reaches up with one hand, catches him with a chokehold around the throat. From there he lifts Crazy Boy as high as he can, turns, and then SLAMS him down into the mat with the FALLING TOWERS chokeslam. Towers rolls over and drapes an arm across Crazy Boy, going for the pinfall attempt.

One...

Two...

NO!

Crazy Boy is just able to get a shoulder up, avoiding losing the match. Enraged, Matt Towers yells out, then reaches down, starts choking Crazy Boy, then lifts him up off the mat. A semi-conscious Crazy Boy sends a kick with his right leg which connects to the stomach of Matt Towers, but all this does is to enrage him even more, and he steps in and drills Crazy Boy with a headbutt that causes Tyrone to go completely limp. Lifting him up as high as he can, Towers then throws Crazy Boy down onto the mat with a second FALLING TOWERS chokeslam, this time hooking the leg as he goes for the pinfall.

One...

Two...

Three.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner by pinfall... MMMMatt... Towers!!!

Mark Perletta: Well it took him two chokeslams to put Crazy Boy away, but Matt Towers ends up getting the victory.

Joey C: Let's be honest, Marky, Crazy Boy was damn lucky to get that shoulder up after he got hit with the FALLING TOWERS. He was barely conscious, and I'm sure that if Matt Towers would've hooked the leg the first time, or even gone for a second pinfall attempt right after the first one, he would've scored the victory. Don't go making Crazy Boy out to be some kind of hero.

Landon Savage: He did a lot better than some guys who have stepped between the ropes with Matt Towers, and that's a lot better than I thought he would. I don't know if Crazy Boy is going to be looking for a rematch anytime soon, but for a second there... I actually thought Crazy Boy had a chance.

Mark Perletta: Well you're not the only one, Landon. Crazy Boy certainly proved to be a tough competitor here tonight, despite being a foot shorter and 200 pounds lighter than Matt Towers. His quickness and stamina advantages made up for most of the difference, but in the end Matt Towers was just too big of a challenge for Tyrone "Crazy Boy" Smith.

Landon Savage: Coming up next we have our main event of the Call to Arms Pre-Show, which is a four-way match which has been building for quite some time. All four of these men have hostility between one another for various reasons, stemming from backstage encounters or differing opinions on personal conduct. To that, I say "whatever". All four of these guys know how to mix it up, they each have their own reasons for wanting to be in the ring with the other three, and to me, that's all I gotta know.

Joey C: From what I've heard, the front office would've put this match on the CALL TO ARMS event, but when they realized that they needed to trim down the card a bit, this is the match chosen to get cut, hence the "main event" status on tonight's pre-show. It should come as no surprise to anyone that these wrestlers get paid more for bigger matches, so clearly the paychecks received by Cronos Diamante, Tim Jones, Gigantus Awesomo, and Chaos suffered because they got left off of the CALL TO ARMS event. That in mind, all four of them are going to want to step it up in this match to try to make sure they don't get left off the next pay per view.

Mark Perletta: And some of them certainly did step it up. I regret to say that we don't have enough time to show you all the match in its entirety, but I can only hope that when the CALL TO ARMS DVD is released in the near future that the entire pre-show is included in the special features and you all get to see the full match from bell to bell. If right now you're sitting in your living room on your couch watching this recap program as part of the CALL TO ARMS DVD, then please accept my apology, and just know that I at least fought for you in hopes that you could see the entire thing.

Landon Savage: I can't say that I'll fight for it, but I will say that I'll at least put in a good word. For now? Let's get to the match.

Pre-Show Main Event
Cronos vs Chaos vs Jones vs Awesomo

Chaos drills Tim Jones with a Yakuza kick to the head, knocking him over the top rope. Instead of falling to the floor, Tim Jones is somehow able to hold on to the ropes, keeping himself on the apron. Before Chaos can do anything to knock Tim off the apron, Cronos steps in and drills Chaos in the back with a kick. Chaos turns around to face the person who just kicked him, Cronos grabs him underneath the arms and takes him down with a twisting belly to belly suplex.

Diamante gets to his feet and immediately starts kicking Chaos in the ribs. Taking a step back, Cronos gives Chaos a few moments to get back to his feet. As Cronos moves, however, Tim Jones leaps off the top rope, connecting with a flying elbow drop to the sternum of Chaos. Cronos can't believe what just happened, and when Tim Jones gets up to his feet, Cronos moves in and rocks him back with a hard right hand. Taking a step in, Tim Jones rakes Diamante's eyes, then grabs Cronos by the wrist and sends him into the corner with an irish whip.

Spotting another opportunity, Tim Jones runs into the ropes, and on the return he drills Gigantus Awesomo with a flying forearm that puts him onto his back. Tim Jones kips up off the mat, turns, spots Chaos, and as soon as Chaos turns around to face him, Tim Jones steps in and DRILLS Chaos in the chin with the SNAFU, putting him right down onto his back. Excited by his series of moves he's used against all three of his opponents, Tim Jones throws his hands into the air in a quick show of victory.

That celebration is short lived, however, as Cronos steps in from behind The Ladies Man and locks Jones in the full nelson, the fans all around the arena cheering as he's obviously going for the Ne-Han. Tim Jones struggles, trying to break free, but before Cronos can turn the move into the second half of the submission, he's kicked in the back by Gigantus Awesomo, breaking the hold. Awesomo grabs Cronos by the head, bending him backwards into a reverse DDT position, and pulls him off of Tim Jones. Taking a couple steps back, Gigantus lifts Cronos up off the mat up onto his shoulder, then turns around and slams Diamante down onto the mat with the MASKED VENGEANCE powerslam.

Gigantus then moves over, sends Tim Jones down to one knee with a clubbing blow, then another, then a third, and then grabs Jones and lifts him up to his feet. Awesomo then takes Jones by the head, bends him backwards into a reverse ddt position, then quickly lifts him up onto his shoulder. Instead of going right for the powerslam, Awesomo runs over and slams Jones back first into the top turnbuckle, then spins around, takes a few steps towards the center of the ring and SLAMS Tim Jones down into the mat with the MASKED VENGEANCE powerslam. This time he drops to his knees and makes the pinfall attempt.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!!

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner by pinfall... Gigantus... Awesomo!!!

Mark Perletta: The large masked man known as Gigantus Awesomo picks up the victory in tonight's main event for the Call to Arms pre-show, and it was a great way to end the festivities leading up to LEGACY's fourth pay per view.

Joey C: The way things are shaping up, this could be a monumental event, possibly even a turning point for this organization.

Landon Savage: All the titles are on the line on Sunday night, not to mention the other great matches we're going to see which should help shape the direction LEGACY goes in the future. The roster is filled with great competitors, and the action we will see at CALL TO ARMS is going to help determine which of them get the best opportunities in the near future.

Mark Perletta: That's all the time we have for tonight's pre-show. I hope you make that all important decision to order the CALL TO ARMS pay per view event to witness history in the making. Less than 48 hours away, we'll see you then.
