Strife

The LEGACY logo shows up on a black screen and it fades out as "Awake" by Godsmack starts to play, and clips from past shows fade in and out. We first see Diego de Cardenas hitting a high flying move, which is followed by one of the many high risk maneuvers by Loco Martinez hit during his match at ADVENT EMPIRE. We then see Stephen Rawlings taking down Katsuro Yoshida during one of their two matches, which is immediately followed by quick clips from the Marcus Marion / John Thomas match at the recent pay per view.

We then see a clip of Nicholas Creed hitting the REIGN OF SIN on someone, which is followed up immediately with a clip of Herb Moxley nailing Creed with the DRAGON SLAYER. From there we see a couple of fast paced clips involving Dan Stein hitting some flashy offensive maneuvers, ending with a clip of him nailing Greyson Blade with a steel chair.

Fast clips follow including some with DJ Cassidy, then the Old School Kings, followed by a couple with Gryffin Anselm. Next is a clip of the Bushido Buntai, then a shot of Matt Larcen leaping off the top rope for the GRAND LARCENY, followed by a clip of Tim Jones lunging in to go for the SNAFU. Finally we see a shot of Greyson Blade hitting the KILLSHOT, followed by a parting shot of him hoisting the LEGACY World Title over his head as he stands atop the entrance ramp.

TONIGHT'S LINEUP

The show opens on a shot of Mark Perletta, Landon Savage and Joey C sitting behind a desk that resembles what you would see anchors sit behind in the studio of a sports news program such as Sports Center. Behind them is an elaborate backdrop which includes several flatscreen monitors, each of them showing the same view we're seeing right now of the recap trio. As the camera zooms in, the screens fade into a shot of the yellow golden LEGACY logo.

Mark Perletta: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Philadelphia, home to the Eagles, the Flyers, the 76'ers, and for tonight, a very big LEGACY show.

Landon Savage: Tonight's show isn't just another "STRIFE", oh no, it's a SuperCard. I've been hearing for a while now that the front office wanted to have a big show for tonight in front of a usually great Philly crowd, and I have to admit, I didn't initially set my expectations very high, but I was blown away with how things turned out.

Joey C: With eight matches on the show, we knew there was going to be plenty of action, especially with how things are shaping up. The second-round of the Hawkins Memorial Tournament constitutes half of the matches, and three of the other four matches have championship belts on the line.

Mark Perletta: The one remaining match involves a huge fan favorite in Loco Martinez taking on a man who his history with goes back a ways. With all that's going on tonight we don't have enough time to go into detail about that, but new staff-writer Harold Patnode wrote up a preview of tonight's show on the official LEGACY forums if you want to know more.

Landon Savage: With so much going on, we have to keep things rolling, so let's get down to the first match of the night, a second-round match between Jake Dominion and Tim Jones.

Hawkins Memorial Tournament
Second Round Match
Jake Dominion vs Tim Jones

Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion came into this match absolutely fired-up and looking to advance into the second round as quickly as possible.

Joey C: Because of that, he might have underestimated Tim Jones a little bit, and after a couple of near-fall attempts that Dominion probably should've waited on, The Ladies Man was able to make a comeback.

Landon Savage: Jake did have to pay a little bit during the middle of the match for not giving Tim Jones the credit he probably deserves, though Jake Dominion's strategy was sufficient to move him on into the semi-finals, and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion and Tim Jones had fought each other once before, back in late August, and since then Tim Jones has rid some of his distractions after disposing of Aaron Beaudway at Advent Empire. I thought he would have a better showing than this because of that.

Joey C: He almost looked as if he went into this match thinking he didn't have a shot.

Landon Savage: Sometimes self fulfilling prophecies are the worst.

Start : Footage from the Match

Tim Jones rebounds off the ropes with a head of steam and jumps almost immediately and flies towards Jake Dominion, taking him off of his feet with a flying forearm shot. Surprised by the move, Jake Dominion gets back on his feet as quickly as possible, whereas Tim Jones waits a moment and then pulls his knees into his chest and kips up to his feet, taken down immediately by Jake Dominion with a legsweep.

Mark Perletta: Tim Jones probably thought he had Jake Dominion down long enough where he could use a little theatrics, but that wasn't the case, and the Ladies Man paid for it.

Joey C: Jake Dominion keeping in on the attack, stomping all over Tim Jones like a man possessed.

Landon Savage: Jake Dominion has been to the top of this sport before, and he knows this tournament is a way to send him right back up there.

Mark Perletta: Tim Jones sufficiently beaten down, Jake Dominion heads to the outside onto the apron... he gets to the corner and springs to the top rope... measures Jones up....

Joey C: NICE frogsplash there by Jake Dominion with a hell of a lot of hang-time on that.

Landon Savage: This one is OVER!

Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion taking a little time to stand up and gloat... he might want to consider finishing this thing off... he's taking a little too much time...

After picking his opponent up off the mat, Jake Dominion kicks Tim Jones in the gut, doubling him over, and then steps in, puts one arm around Jones' neck, putting him into a headlock, and then he reaches down and hooks underneath Tim's leg. Dominion twists and rotates out to his left, and then immediately twists the other way into a swinging neckbreaker move, and not letting go of his lock on Tim's head or leg, Dominion bridges up into a pinfall attempt...

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!!

Josephina Colbert: And your winner as a result of a PINFALL... Jake Dominion!

Mark Perletta: And Jake Dominion becomes the first semi-finalist in the first Hawkins Memorial Tournament, picking up the victory using the move he calls the Ice Breaker.

Landon Savage: I mean, come on, realistically, did Tim Jones ever even really have a chance at coming away with the win in this one? I don't think so. In fact, is there even a doubt in anybody's mind that Jake Dominion is going to be in the finals.

Joey C: Strange things have been happening, but I don't see anything derailing him.

Mark Perletta: And as he gets closer and closer to the finals, Jake Dominion had some words for the top seed on the other side of the brackets.

Backstage

Following his victory over Tim Jones, Jake Dominion makes his way back through the curtain when Andrew Kelley rushes towards him and begins to speak...

Andrew Kelley: Mr. Dominion, Mr. Dominion, can I get a quick word with you?

Jake blinks and stares blankly at Kelley as he responds...

Jake Dominion: Who the hell are you again?

Andrew Kelley: C'mon Mr. Dominion, you know who...

Before Kelley can finish, Jake, obviously not caring, cuts him off...

Jake Dominion: Make it quick...

Andrew Kelley: Mr. Dominion, I just wanted to get your reaction to Steven Rawlings comments in the interview he gave on the last edition of STRIFE.

Jake laughs as he replies...

Jake Dominion: My reaction? Well for starters, I guess his little prediction of Jones cheating his way to the finals didn't happen, cuz he happened to hit a roadblock named Jake Dominion who has kicked his ass TWICE now in LEGACY...

Jake pauses for a brief second as Kelley decides to chime in...

Andrew Kelley: What about his...

Jake glares at Kelley as he continues...

Jake Dominion: I'm NOT DONE yet. Now do you want my reaction or not? Cause I'll gladly walk away now you inconsiderate prick...

Kelley looks like he's about to piss himself as he puts his head down and holds the mic up for Jake to continue...

Jake Dominion: That's what I thought. Now in response to him not thinking I deserved a bye and being ignorant to the fact that I am one half of the current LEGACY World Tag Team Champions baffles me. Actually, it doesn't, because Rawlings doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the drawer anyway, I guess he's real stupid anyway to the fact that he's ignoring the major impact player in this tourney and likely running scared, but that's neither here nor there. Rawlings, if you I were, I'd worry first about that golden bitch kicking your ass tonight, and if for some reason you get past him, just look at the remaining bracket and I'll go out on a limb and say that you WONT make it to the finals. So Stevie, worry about your own shit first and if you want problems with me, I have NO PROBLEM making your life hell, ya dig? Now if you'll excuse me, you rodent-sized cancer, I gotta go get my co-champion tag partner psyched for his No-Limits title match later tonight. I've given you enough reaction, so be-gone before you receive a beating worse than life has given you already...

Jake can't help but chuckle and give off his trademark cocky smirk as he shakes his head and walks back to the locker room area leaving Kelley just standing there with his mic looking sad. The camera then switches over to a shot of the recap position.

Mark Perletta: Some interesting and cocky words there from Jake Dominion after his first win here in the Hawkins Memorial Tournament.

Landon Savage: You have to know that he realizes he's probably the favorite to win this tournament, so why shouldn't he be cocky?

Mark Perletta: Well he doesn't have to treat our backstage staff like that. Andrew Kelley has been doing a good job for us back there on a weekly basis, and earlier this week, Andrew also had another sit down interview, this time with Justin Moreno.

Another Quarterfinalist

The camera opens on a two-shot of backstage reporter Andrew Kelley seated in a chair in an empty locker room, facing Justin Moreno, who is seated about seven feet away. Andrew has a notebook in hand and is wearing a pair of khaki pants and a black LEGACY polo shirt. Moreno is wearing a pair of jeans and a “Sky High Cup” t-shirt.

Andrew Kelley: Justin Moreno, it's been a while since we last saw you inside of a wrestling ring. Plenty of people out there thought your career was over, that the injuries you had sustained had put you on the shelf for good. What made you decide to come back?

Justin Moreno: Well my career was never really "done", per se. I always wanted to come back not just to fight Marion, but to compete again because I live off of adrenaline and there's nothing like the adrenaline rush I get from a crowd reaction every night at a show. I saw Marcus with the top belt in LEGACY and that just made my resolve even stronger to come back because I can not stand to see a guy like that with a belt that means that much. I pushed myself as hard I physically could just so I could make it back in the ring and here I am.

Andrew Kelley: As you feel there is still some unfinished business and some feelings of animosity towards Marcus Marion, when you made your return just after ADVENT EMPIRE, he was the first one you issued a challenge towards. What was going through your mind when he refused to accept your challenge?

The camera zooms in tighter on Moreno, only showing his head and shoulders.

Justin Moreno: Seems to me that he was scared to fight me because he knows damn well I can beat him on any given night and he can't handle that kind of a blow to his ego. For some reason he wants to wait until I'm more accomplished, which is fine with me, but the longer I wait, the worse things will be for.

Andrew jots something down in his notebook as Moreno responds, and then asks his next question, starting it before he even fully looks up from his pad of paper.

Andrew Kelley: Obviously one of the biggest items of conversation in LEGACY right now is the Hawkins Memorial Tournament, in which you have been entered. Thus far you were able to score a victory in your first-round match against Loco Martinez, which many people consider an upset. How did that victory feel, knowing that it could bring you one step closer to Marcus Marion?

Justin Moreno: Every win takes me one step closer to accomplishing my goal but every defeat can also be a step back. I hate how I picked up the win over Loco but in that situation, you have to do what you have to do.

Andrew Kelley: In a way, you’re a big reason why this tournament is happening. Back in TTW, you helped to get the Sky High Cup rolling, and instead of continuing the Sky High Cup, Rob Belote and the LEGACY front office decided to instead go with a non-discriminatory tournament dedicated to one of the legends of our sport. How does that lineage affect your outlook on trying to win this tournament?

The camera zooms out to show us Justin Moreno’s “Sky High Cup” t-shirt.

Justin Moreno: Well, that just gives me all the more incentive to win this tournament, not that beating Marcus and getting a title shot isn't enough for me or anything. And with this tournament having no weight limits, it gives me a new opportunity to showcase my skills against a more diverse set of opponents.

Andrew Kelley: Your match on tonight's show has you getting into the ring with former World Tag Team Champion DJ Cassidy. How have you prepared for this match, which the majority of people I've talked to think you're going to lose?

Justin Moreno: DJ Cassidy has a lot of untapped potential and he's got a whole lot of talent, but with that said, he's still so inexperienced that I don't think he knows exactly how he should handle the situation. I don't THINK I can beat him... I KNOW I can beat him.

Hawkins Memorial Tournament
Second Round Match
Justin Moreno vs DJ Cassidy

Mark Perletta: After hearing the interview with Justin Moreno, it really helps you understand why he wants to succeed in this tournament so badly, striving to make a name for himself to get that match with Marcus Marion.

Landon Savage: Well a big part of making a name for yourself involves proving that you've got talent that other people didn't think you had and accomplishing things they thought you weren't capable of. Marcus Marion sets the bar farely low for what he expects Justin can do, but that's not all that counts.

Joey C: Marcus Marion doesn't waste his time on mediocre opponents. You don't see him out there every week getting into the ring with scrubs, do you? No. His time is a valuable thing, and he isn't going to just spend it throwing some "no talent" around for ten minutes. He's got better things to do.

Mark Perletta: I would agree that a lot of people didn't think that Justin Moreno would make it out of the first round, and those same people figured that he wouldn't make it past the second round, either.

Landon Savage: I was in the production meetings a week ago, and that's why Justin Moreno got interview time this week. Not even the front office thinks he's going to make it past DJ Cassidy, and that's saying something. They wanted to give the guy his fair share of interview time to help promote himself in the hopes of gaining more fans, and yeah, that little back-and-forth with Andrew whatever-his-last-name-is probably helped a little.

Mark Perletta: And I'm sure this match with DJ Cassidy also helped out a little bit, as it definitely wasn't a one-sided affair. DJ Cassidy is becoming a great competitor inside that ring, and honestly, I think part of his problem all along was confidence.

Joey C: I don't want to hear about any of that. The guy gets a little bit of success and suddenly that leads to better matches, and suddenly the guy's problem was confidence? Cassidy's been training like a mad-man now that he's not ball-and-chained to Moxley with those Tag Titles, and that's why he's having better matches.

Mark Perletta: Well whatever the reason, Cassidy and Moreno put on a great match tonight, although it doesn't end like I'm sure most people thought it would.

Start : Footage from the Match

DJ Cassidy starts to lift Moreno up for a suplex but the attempt is blocked. Cassidy tries again and this time he gets Justin up, but Moreno floats over and ends up behind him. As Cassidy turns around, Justin hops up onto the middle rope, twists and flies towards DJ, grabbing him by the head, spinning around and planting him into the mat with a Tornado DDT. Justin Moreno eagerly goes out to the apron and then starts climbing to the top, but when he gets there, DJ Cassidy is already up on his feet, and Cassidy then grabs Moreno and throws him from the top rope down into the middle of the ring.

Mark Perletta: Justin Moreno a bit too anxious to try to put this one away and he pays for it.

Joey C: That's a definite sign of the ring-rust showing. Doesn't matter how much training Moreno did to get back in shape to return to the ring, it's things like knowing when your opponent is going to be down long enough to hit a high flying move, that's the sort of thing you can't just train for.

Cassidy doesn't want to give Moreno another opening and so he picks him up off the mat and backs him into the corner. Taking Justin Moreno by the arm, DJ takes a few steps backwards and irish whips Moreno towards the opposite corner, waiting a moment and then following him in. As Moreno gets close to the corner, he slows down enough to hop directly up onto the top rope, and then he flings himself backwards, twisting around to face Cassidy as he flies towards him. DJ Cassidy sees him coming, however, and hops up off the mat slightly and throws his arm out there, pushing across Moreno's chest, redirecting his momentum and DRIVING him down into the mat.

Mark Perletta: Now both men with a little bit of trouble getting up off the mat...

Joey C: Looks like DJ Cassidy is going to be the first one up. Now he lifts Moreno up off the mat...

DJ Cassidy goes for an irish whip, but Justin Moreno plants one of his feet and is able to reverse it, sending DJ into the ropes instead. Moreno goes for a clothesline, but Cassidy ducks underneath it and keeps going. Moreno turns around and ducks down, going for a back body drop. Seeing it coming, DJ Cassidy floats over, flips forwards and grabs Justin Moreno around his legs, DJ extending his legs upwards to try to complete the sunset flip. Before he can be taken down, Justin Moreno has the presence of mind to hook Cassidy's legs and fall forwards, locking Cassidy in and pinning his shoulders to the mat for a pinfall attempt...

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!!

Josephina Colbert: And your winner as a result of a PINFALL... Justin Moreno!

Mark Perletta: After the match, a stunned crowd stands on their feet, unsure of how to react to a second straight upset by Justin Moreno. DJ Cassidy up to his feet... and a nice show of respect there as Cassidy extends his hand towards Moreno and the two shake at the end of this second round match.

Joey C: I'd be surprised if ANYONE wasn't surprised by this one. Justin Moreno, what the hell is he doing? He shouldn't be able to do this. He should've lost in the first round, and having pulled an upset there, he has to be running on complete adrenaline in this thing. He's living on borrowed time, though. Mark my words: this little "run" that Moreno is putting together, it ends here.

Landon Savage: My thoughts exactly. Justin Moreno caught a break in the first round when Loco Martinez hurt his ankle. He got another one this week as DJ Cassidy is almost definitely distracted by what happened last week, not to mention tonight's Tao of Valor Championship match.

Mark Perletta: Distracted or not, DJ Cassidy had a great match and comes up just short of moving on to the semi-finals, and now we know that it will be Jake Dominion taking on Justin Moreno to determine who moves on to the finals from their side of the brackets.

Landon Savage: Still to come yet tonight we have two more matches to determine the other two semi-finalists, but first, a couple of new guys were backstage at the show tonight, one of them expected, one of them not.

Hometown Legend

Rob leaves his office, starts walking down the hallway, crosses through an intersection of hallways, heading towards the luxury boxes elevator, and as he is about to get into an elevator, he notices someone out of the corner of his eye. he does a double-take and decides not to get into the elevator and starts walking down the hallway and calls out with a grin on his face.

Rob Belote: Well I'll be damned, how'd you get a backstage pass? More importantly who do I have to fire for allowing it to happen.

The camera pans over and we see a large man standing there, and as soon as he turns around the camera zooms in to reveal that the man is none other than Hall of Famer and former CEWF Heavyweight Champion Crash. Hearing the familiar voice, Crash smiles as he turns around. He's easily added 15 pounds of his muscle to his frame and still sports his trademark shaven head and a closely trimmed light brown mustache and goatee. He's dressed in a pair of loose fitting dark blue American Eagle jeans, a black skin tight Motorhead t-shirt and a pair of black Timberland boots.

Crash: Rob Belote... its been awhile, hasn't it?

Rob Belote: It's been TOO long, Crash. I should've guessed that you'd show up to a show in your own hometown. Smith Cartwright hook you up with a backstage pass?

Crash: Yeah... Cartwright. One of your guys. That's probably him.

Rob Belote: He always was one of your biggest fans, even when you were trying to break my knee, he still considered you one of the top guys in the business.

Crash grins.

Crash: That means alot to me that I'm still thought of. I've been outta this business for a few years now and ya's still remember me.

Rob chuckles slightly.

Rob Belote: Remember you? I’d start negotiations five minutes ago if I thought there were any way I’d be able to get you on the LEGACY roster.

Before Crash has a chance to respond, Rob sees someone out of the corner of his eye, looks over, and then looks back at Crash.

Rob Belote: Hey, there’s someone I want you to meet. Follow me over here for a second, if you wouldn’t mind…

Crash laughs and follows Rob.

Crash: Okay...

Rob walks off and Crash follows him, and as they approach someone walking down the hall ahead of them, Rob calls out to get their attention.

Rob Belote: Hey John, wait up a second.

The man stops and turns around, and it turns out to be John Thomas. Rob and Crash catch up with him, only about ten feet away, and Rob makes the introduction.

Rob Belote: I’ve gotta head up to one of the luxury boxes for a few minutes to take care of a little business, but we should finish this conversation later. For now, though, Crash, I’d like you to meet John Thomas, one of the brightest young stars NOT ONLY on the roster, but in the business. He also happens to be my son.

Before the conversation can start up, Rob looks over at John, then back at Crash.

Rob Belote: I really do have to run. Crash, after you two are done talking, I'm sure Smith Cartwright would be happy to let you sit with him up in the executive box to watch the rest of tonight's action. Stick around after the show, though, because I'm going to find a way to sign you to a contract one way or another.

With that, Rob pats Crash on the shoulder and walks off towards the elevator. Crash turns his attention now over to John, who stands there eyeing Crash.

Crash: Well its a pleasure to meet you, John. I didn't know Rob had a son.

John nods a few times, still sizing Crash up a bit.

John Thomas: Yeah, well, it wasn’t something he acknowledged until he absolutely had to, and even then I don’t think he put it on his annual Christmas card or anything like that… though I don’t guess the guy who tried to break him in two was necessarily on the yearly holiday greeting card list, then, were you?

John shakes his head in disappointment.

John Thomas: Though I guess you might be, now that you’re all chummy chummy. It’s a shame, I liked you better in the tapes I saw where you were trying to force him on crutches the rest of his life.

Crash smirks uncomfortably.

Crash: Thats all in the past. Your father hasn't always been the most popular guy in world. Me either. We had our differences at the time and I got a little extreme.

John shrugs.

John Thomas: Maybe not extreme enough, then. You know what they say about hindsight, though. So you sticking around to sign a contract, or has old age set in and made you wary of getting into the ring with a younger generation?

Crash smiles.

Crash: Listen kid, I'm not that damn old and I know for a fact that alot of these guys couldn't carry my jockstrap during my heyday, which by the way wasn't that long ago.

Crash steps up in John Thomas' face.

Crash: You challenging me to a match?

John cracks a smile and then lets out a quick little laugh.

John Thomas: Whoa, calm down there a second and take a step back. Now breathe for a second and realize that, although I’m sure there are a lot of guys around here who couldn’t carry your jockstrap, I’m not one of them.

John pauses for a moment.

John Thomas: Now IF you decide you want to try your hand at beating me sometime, I’ll give it a go, but for now, I don’t see your name on the roster, which means fighting you doesn’t get me any closer to a World Title shot. And if you don’t mind, I actually have a match coming up in a tournament to that end. In fact, since Dave Hawkins was a guy you knew fairly well, when I win this tournament named after him, you could probably work out a deal to be one of the guys who carries down the trophy they’re going to give me.

Crash laughs.

Crash: Listen kid, I wish you all the luck in the world in the Dave Hawkins tournament. I mentored Hawkins. Hell, I hope you even win the World Title, because right now I feel like I could get back in that ring! When I do... maybe I'll drive my cart out of the retirement home and give you the whooping Belote never did!

The smile is wiped off of John's face and he starts slowly walking backwards.

John Thomas: I'd love to finish this nice little chat we're having, but some of us aren't currently afraid of accepting bookings, and since they were nice enough to book me in a second-round tournament match tonight, I may as well show up for it. You decide to sign a contract with LEGACY... I'm sure we'll meet again. Until then...

John mocks Crash with a slight bow towards him, holding his back as if he were an old man who pulled a muscle, and then he turns around and walks off down the hallway laughing.

Contract Signing

The scene cuts up to Rob Belote’s luxury box. The table is decked with champagne, glasses at every chair, and at the head of the table is a briefcase. Jake Blaine and his entourage walk in, and take seats. Jake takes a seat at the head of the table.

Frank Kolzig: Hello everyone, I'm Frank Kolzig. I'm Rob Belote's assistant. I believe we talked on the phone a few days ago when I was giving you the details about the accomodations for this week. Mr. Blaine, glad you could make it. We were actually thinking that if you sat over there, where we have the briefcase located, you might have the best view of the in-ring action through one of the many monitors we have set up in this fantastic luxury box, or out the regular opening into the arena bowl. We thought that Rob might sit there when he joins us in a couple minutes.

A member of Jake Blaine’s entourage speaks up, looking confused and slightly angered.

Man: Who are you? We weren’t informed of a representative.

Frank Kolzig: As you might imagine, at a show of this magnitude - twice as large as most regular STRIFE shows, almost the size of a pay per view event - Rob likes to attend to things first-hand to make sure everything goes well. He wanted me to come by to make sure everything was to your liking, and to talk to you a little bit about the contract before he shows up for the signing.

Deciding to speak for himself, Jake Blaine enters the conversation, trying to get down to business.

Jake: Ok, so how long is th' contract for, and what do I get for joinin' this shitbox?

Frank Kolzig: I think you'll find that those particular numbers are indicated on the third page. The first two pages are just standard literature in all LEGACY contracts about this being legally binding and such.

Blaine looks up and over at the members of his entourage, and then back to Frank Kolzig.

Jake: So is there anyt'in' you can do besides tell me what pages t'read, or is that all your good for?

Frank Kolzig: Well, now, my main purpose for coming here was really just to see if any of YOUR people had any questions for us regarding something that wasn't clearly spelled out in the contract. If needed, I could get the lawyers in here to edit anything that needs to be sewn up so we can try to get this thing signed here tonight.

Jake: Why don't ya fetch me a beer, I don't drink this richie bitch french shit, and we'll consider that a start until your bossman gets here. Do I get in trouble if I break someone's jaw? Nasty bit back last year when I did that.

Frank Kolzig: We'll certainly see what we can do about getting you a cold beverage to your liking. Are there any particular brands which you'd prefer?

Jake: Well you yanks probably don’t have what I like, if you don’t have Gales then I’ll take a Coors.

Frank gets a smile on his face.

Frank Kolzig: Actually our staff did our research, and someone read somewhere that you like Gales, so we actually have some cold for you.

Frank looks over at a man wearing a black LEGACY polo shirt, and he goes and gets Jake’s beer for him.

Frank Kolzig: As far as breaking someone's jaw, the standards of conduct are outlined in pages ten through fourteen. They were adapted from standard LEGACY contract verbage to meet some of the requests that your managers stated when we talked eight days ago.

Jake: Of course. So sounds like we're all done their boy-o. All I need do is sign this little bitty. However I ain't doin' that till I see Robbie. Its bad luck to sign a contract without the boss around.

The door to the luxury box opens and in walks Rob Belote, a smile on his face. He approaches the table, keeping his eyes on Jake Blaine.

Rob Belote: Jake, so glad you could make it. I trust that everything was in order with the contract, and all that's left to do is the formality of signing it.

Jake: That's about right. I got t'say you got alot goin' for ya. I just got one question for you Robbie.

Rob Belote: And that is?

Jake: Are ya th'type t'hold a foreigner back from beatin' a yank's ass for your Championship belt?

Rob grins and shakes his head “no”.

Rob Belote: No matter who walks out of tonight’s show with the belt, whether it’s Greyson Blade or Nicholas Creed, they’re both tough guys. If someone steps into the ring with either one of them and wants to stand toe-to-toe, I’m not going to hold anyone back, especially not based on what country they’re from. Hell, it’s a WORLD title, so I may as well let foreigners fight for it, right? In fact, we're working on signing other talent from around the world as we speak.

Jake looks dead into Rob Belote’s eyes for a minute, trying to gauge how sincere he is, and then he flips through a couple of pages in the contract, picks up the pen and starts signing. The view then changes back to the recap position.

Mark Perletta: And so it seems we have at least one new member on the LEGACY roster, with former boxing champion Jake Blaine signing a contract.

Landon Savage: That's all well and good, but getting Crash to be a part of this roster would be a lot bigger news. Sure, Jake Blaine brings with him the added media attention and interest from the UK, but Crash is a HALL OF FAMER in this sport.

Joey C: Jake Blaine is one tough guy, though, and I can't wait to see what happens when he gets into the ring for the first time with a wrestler instead of a boxer.

Mark Perletta: Well I did hear that he had a bit of trouble keeping his offense to just punches, which is why he's no longer a professional boxer, so it shouldn't be too big of an adjustment.

Landon Savage: We'll have to see, but it looks like he has some lofty goals coming into the business. Should be fun to watch.

Hawkins Memorial Tournament
Second Round Match
Diego de Cardenas vs John Thomas

Mark Perletta: After his run-in with Hall of Famer Crash, John Thomas went out to the ring, seemingly in good spirits, ready for his quarterfinals match against Diego de Cardenas.

Joey C: When Cardenas came out to the ring, it was obvious that he was NOT in good spirits, still sporting that same determined chip on his shoulder that he's had for a while now.

Landon Savage: And honestly? I hope he never loses it, because before his change of attitude, he just seemed mediocre out there. Now it seems like he can beat just about anybody.

Mark Perletta: Well he had a heck of a test here tonight with John Thomas, who immediately went to work on Diego's shoulder, obviously working to set him up for that Crossface Chicken Wing.

Joey C: What John should've been trying to do is to go after Diego's legs, because that's what kept Cardenas in the match. As quick and agile as John Thomas is, Diego is still quicker and more agile than he is.

Mark Perletta: It's possible that Diego has that advantage over just about everyone on the roster, though he has to have some way to make up for the fact that he's also smaller than just about everyone on the roster, giving up three inches and about forty pounds to John Thomas, who is by no means the biggest guy on the roster.

Landon Savage: He might be small, but he's all muscle, and he'd have to be to move around the way he does.

Mark Perletta: John Thomas worked over Diego's shoulder through as much of the match as he could, but in the end, Diego's greatest asset was something that had nothing to do with his shoulder.

Start : Footage from the Match

Grabbing Diego's arm and twisting it into a standing armbar, John Thomas starts walking backwards over towards the corner, and the crowd starts to get excited. As John starts making his way up the turnbuckles, however, Diego takes a few steps, hops up onto the second rope and springs himself backwards, the armbar still applied, pulling John down off the top rope. As John releases the hold, Cardenas gets up off the mat and runs into the ropes, and as Thomas gets up to his feet, Diego hops and spins towards John, throwing his legs to either side of John's waist, moving into a wheel-barrow type position, then springing up and throwing his legs forwards as he grabs John's head with his arm and he hits a bulldog.

Mark Perletta: Very athletic luchador type maneuver there by Diego de Cardenas to take John Thomas down to the mat.

Joey C: He'd better capitalize if he wants to make it to the semi-finals.

Diego gets up off the mat and heads out onto the apron and waits while John starts to get up off the mat, his back turned to Cardenas, having no idea where he is. As John gets to a vertical base and looks around, Diego hops up onto the top rope and springs himself off into a flying cross-body block, but John is able to catch him in mid-air, and John turns and hits a shoulder breaker down onto his knee, then lets Diego drop down to the mat.

Mark Perletta: Good quick thinking there by John Thomas, and not only does he get back on the offensive, but he hits a huge power move that puts added strain on Diego's shoulder, which he has been working on all match.

Joey C: Oh and Diego looks to be in a lot of pain... This could be it.

With Diego de Cardenas down on the mat, John Thomas stalked in behind him, waiting for him to start to get to his feet to lock in his submission move. With the anticipation growing in the crowd, Hannah Perez climbs up onto the apron and starts calling out for John Thomas. When he notices her up there, he turns his attention over to her, asking what she's doing. She begins trying to flirt with John, who looks to be getting angry, especially since the referee can't convince her to drop down off of the apron. This distraction is all Diego de Cardenas needs, and when he gets up off the mat, he comes right in behind John and nails him with a kick to the balls from behind. From there Diego grabs John by the shoulders and pulls backwards, pulling his knees up as they fall backwards and hitting a Back-cracker on John. Cardenas gets to his feet, starts to lock John in a Texas Cloverleaf, but instead of flipping John over onto his stomach to use a submission hold, Diego flips forwards and lands in a bridging position, pinning John's shoulders to the mat.

ONE!

TWO!!

THREE!!

Josephina Colbert: And your winner as a result of PINFALL... Diego de Cardenas!

Mark Perletta: And with a bit of distraction from Hannah Perez, Diego de Cardenas is able to move on into the semifinals.

Joey C: And what a FINE distraction it was, helping Diego get a HUGE victory.

Landon Savage: Probably Diego's biggest victory thus far in LEGACY, possibly in his career. Now he'll have to get by either James Win or Stephen Rawlings if he wants to make it to the finals.

Mark Perletta: Apparently John Thomas was none too happy about Diego de Cardenas advancing at his expense...

Backstage

The cameraman scurries hurriedly to try to keep up as John Thomas makes his way down the hallway. The people lining the halls all look a bit shocked as they stand back, as if they were avoiding being in John’s way. As we make our way past two of them, the microphone on the camera picks up part of their conversation.

Woman: Can you believe he said that?

Second Woman: She was just trying to be nice, and then he swears at her?

Suddenly one of the road agents shows up in front of the camera and starts walking along, going at a good clip, keeping pace with the cameraman. He decides to update us on the situation.

Preston Thompkins: So it appears that after his loss to Diego, John Thomas was headed to his locker room and one of the other road agents, Anastasia Ewing, said something to him, a consolatory type of thing or whatever because I guess she could tell he was upset, and from what I heard he just sorta snapped at her. I wasn’t around, but from the two people who told me about it, he rattled off a few quick derogatory remarks, and apparently he seemed almost ready to assault her.

In disbelief about everything, Preston shakes his head as he continues down the hall.

Preston Thompkins: I thought it might be best to follow him back to his locker room to make sure this thing doesn’t escalate any further.

Preston and the cameraman make their way down the hall and they see John Thomas head into his locker room, shoving the door open. Coming down the hallway in the opposite direction with a water-bottle in hand, dressed and ready for his match, is Loco Martinez. He looks at Preston and the cameraman with a puzzled look on his face, which quickly changes to a look of concern as he hears a crash from inside the locker room. Loco opens the door and the cameraman looks in from the hallway as Loco walks in. The mirror across the room has cracks running all through it, all converging on one spot near the left side. Directly on the floor below that spot is a steel chair, around which are a dozen or more tiny pieces of shattered glass. John is still standing, facing down near the bottom of his locker, one of his hands resting against one of the walls of the locker. Keeping his distance, Loco checks in on his friend.

Loco Martinez: John? You alright man?

John doesn't even look over at him.

John Thomas: Don’t you have a match to get to or something?

Loco Martinez: I’ve got a few minutes before I need to head down there… Everything cool, man? I mean I know that was a tough break out there, but this tournament, man, people are stepping up and surprising people. Just look at Moreno, first beating me, then tonight he…

John Thomas: I really don’t care about Justin Moreno right now, Jay.

Typically John calls him Loc’, so when Martinez hears his real first name used and hears the tone of John’s response, he decides to leave John alone. He starts to say something more, but instead he just nods his head and backs out of the locker room, and as he turns to walk down the hallway, the cameraman shows a somewhat worried look on the face of Loco Martinez. The scene then cuts back to a shot of the recap broadcast position.

Mark Perletta: John Thomas obviously a little upset, as you might expect, but this isn't the type of reaction we typically see from a guy like John Thomas after getting upset over a loss.

Joey C: Yeah, but what you have to keep in mind is that John Thomas has been upset about the whole "Diane" thing since he came back from Calgary, and Diego didn't just score an upset here, he had his GIRLFRIEND help him get it.

Landon Savage: Yeah, that's gotta dig in just a little bit extra. Nicely done by Diego de Cardenas.

Gryffin Anselm vs Loco Martinez

Mark Perletta: As this match got started, something happened that you wouldn't expect to have happen with a hometown guy. Loco Martinez, though typically cheered all across the nation, got something of a mixed reaction from the Philly fans.

Landon Savage: I'm not surprised that some of the people gave him a "not-so-welcome" home reception. Loco Martinez, for whatever reason, was trying to get out of having a match here, and the Philly fans don't want to hear an excuse like "my ankle is sore". They love Loco Martinez like a son, and now he's coming up with some lame excuse to try to get out of performing for them, they who paid good money to see him?

Joey C: Let's be honest, here, Philly fans are some of the greatest fans on earth, and they're also some of the worst. They're the rabid fans who went crazy for ECW. They're also the fans who would boo their own mothers and wives if they got the notion.

Mark Perletta: Well for whatever the reason, for the first couple of minutes of this match there was a large portion of the crowd who wasn't giving Loco Martinez a warm reception, but throughout the match Loco Martinez won a lot of those fans back.

Landon Savage: It probably had a lot to do with the fact that Martinez was fighting so hard, which he really had to do, since he was facing one of this business' best in Gryffin Anselm.

Mark Perletta: Just as was expected out of this match, Gryffin and Loco were both going at it intensly.

Joey C: And Gryffin went right after that ankle of Loco Martinez.

Landon Savage: Anselm isn't exactly a submission specialist, but he knows how to inflict pain, and when he detects a weakness, he goes right after it. Like a shark smelling blood in the water, Gryffin attacked.

Mark Perletta: Whatever pain Loco Martinez might have been feeling in his ankle before the match, the adrenaline was flowing and it didn't seem to be holding Loco back a bit from doing any of his offensive OR defensive maneuvers. And as Anselm tried to inflict damage on Loco's ankle, he was able to evade most of that attack.

Joey C: Well near the end of the match, it was one man's counter that lead directly to the finish.

Start : Footage from the Match

Stepping in, Anselm goes for a hooking righthand punch, but Loco blocks it and goes for a kick. When Gryffin blocks it, Loco hops up and goes for an enzuigiri, but Anselm ducks underneath the attempt. As Loco Martinez is able to plant his foot after the failed attempt, using Loco's leg that he's still holding Anselm spins him over and pulls him in and levels him with a short clothesline.

Landon Savage: Great impact there by Gryffin Anselm!

After stomping down on Loco a couple times, Gryffin Anselm slowly lifts Loco up to his feet, and he holds him there momentarily. The fans start booing as Anselm laughs at an exhausted-looking Loco Martinez, and that just causes Gryffin to raise his arm to taunt the fans. As the fans start clapping and stomping to rally Loco Martinez, Gryffin raises Loco up over his head into a Gorilla Press position. As Gryffin turns to look towards the center of the ring to go for the powerslam, Martinez shifts his bodyweight and gets his feet onto the top rope, hooking on to keep Gryffin from doing anything. Grabbing Anselm around the head, Loco pushes off the top rope and is able to flip up over Gryffin, dragging him down to the mat with a falling front facelock.

Mark Perletta: Great counter there by Loco Martinez, and Gryffin is in a world of trouble!

Joey C: He's not out of it yet, don't go counting him out.

Landon Savage: Gryffin's already starting to try to get back in it...

Mark Perletta: Loco Martinez to the outside, it looks like he's going to be climbing the turnbuckle...

With Gryffin slowly getting up off of the mat, Loco makes his way to the top rope. As Anselm starts to stand up fully, Loco dives backwards into a moonsault, going for THAT WARM AND FUZZY FEELING, but Gryffin sees what's going on in time and turns slightly and catches Loco on his shoulders. From there Gryffin turns and SLAMS Martinez down into the mat with the DEVASTATOR, shocking the fans as he goes for the pinfall...

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Josephina Colbert: And your winner as a result of a PINFALL... Gryffin Anselm!

Mark Perletta: Gryffin picks up the victory that's obviously not very popular with the Philly fans, but once he gets backstage and Loco Martinez gets up off the mat, head hung low after a disappointing loss, the fans give Loco a decent reaction for the effort he put into the match.

Joey C: I'm not the biggest supporter of Loco Martinez in the world, but he did put on a good match tonight, and although I don't disagree with how the fans reacted, I am somewhat surprised.

Landon Savage: If the hometown team or the hometown boy puts on a poor display that ends up in a loss, these fans would let them know about it with a disapproving reaction. That certainly wasn't the case tonight, because although it seemed like he didn't really want to have this match in the first place, he sure gave it his all, he just came up short in the end.

Mark Perletta: Although the fans are apparently not disappointed in the effort Loco gave, it seems to be quite the opposite for the man who came out on the losing side of yet another match. Walking back from the ring, Loco Martinez looked extremely disappointed in the outcome of the match, and you have to wonder if his losing streak that he's on isn't starting to really affect him.

Backstage

As Gryffin Anselm walks backstage after having been victorious in a fairly significant match for him, making his way back to his locker room, James Win is walking towards him, all suited up in his gold Adidas warm-up suit, ready for his match.

James Win: Gryff, sweet victory out there against Crazy Sanchez. Just goes to validate the point that you and the All Star were trying to make to young Thomas back in the day. The way that joker goes about his business, it’s no wonder he’s been on such a losing streak. And did you see the way John reacted to losing his match?

Gryffin nods, a grin forming on his face, but out of the corner of his eye he spots someone down the hallway, so he decides to cut things short with the All Star. Patting him on the shoulder, Gryffin walks past him.

Gryffin Anselm: I did. Good luck out there.

Not in a huge rush, Anselm makes his way at a steady pace down the hall, and the cameraman falls in behind him, looking down the hallway to reveal Katsuro Yoshida stretching his neck as he waits for someone prior to his match. When Gryffin is about fifteen feet away, Katsuro notices him coming and turns to face him. Yoshida is dressed in his black cloak, the No Limits Championship belt over his shoulder. Anselm stares at the belt for a minute, then looks into the eyes of Katsuro Yoshida.

Gryffin Anselm: Well look at you, getting set for your first title defense. Loosening up, preparing for Eric Wolfson.

A smirk forms on Anselm’s face and he lets out a quick chuckle.

Gryffin Anselm: I’d give you some tips on things to look for when you step into the ring with Wolfson, but you wouldn’t understand me anyway, would you? Not without your translator Shinya, anyway, and he doesn’t appear to be around.

About ready to walk off, Gryffin stops as Katsuro Yoshida surprises him by responding.

Katsuro Yoshida: He’s not a translator, he’s more of a manager than anything else. In my culture we tend to honor and respect our elders more than what I have seen here, and that is why we have Shinya Nori speak on behalf of the Bushido Buntai.

Anselm starts to nod.

Gryffin Anselm: So, you speak English…

Katsuro nods in response.

Katsuro Yoshida: I have since I was a young man. And as far as your advice on facing Wolfson is concerned, that will be unnecessary.

Gryffin shrugs.

Gryffin Anselm: I just had this notion that it would be more fun to win that championship belt back from you than it would be to take it from Eric. Just my way of proving that Advent Empire was a fluke.

The look on the champion’s face doesn’t change.

Katsuro Yoshida: You’re obviously entitled to a rematch, so if you get one in the near future I’ll look forward to the rematch. You’re a warrior inside the ring, and I can respect that.

Anselm’s eyes narrow a bit and he nods.

Gryffin: Just keep that thing shined up for me, will ya.

Shinya Nori walks around a corner, followed by Osamu Hayashi, who is holding the hand of a rather attractive Asian woman. Shinya looks a bit concerned by the encounter between Katsuro Yoshida and Gryffin Anselm, so he walks right up next to Katsuro and looks at Gryffin.

Shinya Nori: There will be no trouble here tonight between the two of you. If you have issues with the Bushido Buntai, you will take them up at a future date.

Gryffin nods his head.

Gryffin: Oh, no worries, Shin’, your man, here, isn’t going to have any problems with me. I’ve got some other things going on right now, but we’ll have our rematch, and when that happens, the Bushido Buntai will have to deal with me. Until then, the best of luck to all three of you.

A grin forms on Gryffin’s face, and he walks on past them, heading off and down the hallway from where James Win came earlier.

Hawkins Memorial Tournament
Second Round Match
James Win vs Stephen Rawlings

Mark Perletta: There was a look of determination on the face of Stephen Rawlings throughout this entire match, almost as if he wanted to make sure there was no possible way he was going to lose this match.

Joey C: Just like that t-shirt of his says, he wasn't trying to just be "good enough" in this one, he was trying to be perfect.

Landon Savage: And in a match against a guy with the accomplishments and untapped potential of James Win, trying to wrestle a perfect match is a great idea, because if you slip up against him, he'll make you pay for it.

Mark Perletta: James Win, hell of an athlete, but he doesn't always train as hard as he could, nor does he usually take his opponents as seriously as they deserve. If he were to prepare for matches as hard as a guy like Stephen Rawlings, he probably would've earned more championships than he already has.

Landon Savage: That's something that I know Gryffin Anselm and Big Lou have been trying to pound into his head for years, but he's just so hard-headed that he doesn't "get it".

Joey C: And he really should've prepared a little harder for this match, because Rawlings did his homework, and almost everything James Win tried, Stephen had a counter or reversal to it.

Mark Perletta: And that lead to a frustrating match for Win.

Start : Footage from the Match

After being hiptossed down to the mat, The All Star works to get to his feet. Rawlings moves in and tries to lift James up to his feet, but Win headbutts him in the gut, doubling Stephen over momentarily. James Win gets to his feet and goes for a belly to back suplex, but Rawlings blocks it with a hard back elbowto the head. From there, Rawlings reaches down between his legs, reaches back and grabs Win's leg, then pulls forward and pulls him down to the mat. Stephen then immediately spins around and locks in a grapevined ankle-lock. The referee steps in and checks to see if Win wants to give up, but he won't do it.

Mark Perletta: Stephen Rawlings with a nice combination takedown there, locking it into a submission hold.

Landon Savage: And James Win isn't giving up hope, and I don't think he'll be submitting any time soon.

Joey C: Seems like Rawlings realizes that too, and he's letting go of the hold.

Stephen Rawlings grabs his opponent by the arm, lifts him up to his feet, and sends James Win into the ropes with an irish whip, and on the return Rawlings leap-frogs Win. On the second return Rawlings drops down to the mat and Win keeps running past him, and when Win gets close to the ropes, he hops up onto the middle rope and springs himself backwards into a moonsault, but before he comes crashing down, Rawlings rolls out of the way and the All Star hits the mat. Rawlings hops back up to his feet immediately and drops an elbow into the chest of James Win. Getting right back to his feet, Stephen drops a second elbow that also hits its mark.

Mark Perletta: Nicely scouted there by Stephen Rawlings, realizing what James Win would attempt, and he takes advantage nicely.

Joey C: Spot-on elbow drops there by Stephen Rawlings, and James Win is in trouble.

Grabbing Win up off the mat, Stephen Rawlings picks him up and hits an inverted atomic drop, stunning The All Star, and then Rawlings backs up and then dives in with a clothesline. As The All Star slowly works his way up off the mat, Stephen Rawlings grabs him around the head and hoists him up off of his feet, lifting him straight into the air and then bringing him down with a modified Screwdriver, the move Rawlings calls the "Finishing Move", and then he places an arm across James Win and goes for the pinfall...

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Josephina Colbert: And your winner as a result of a PINFALL... Stephen Rawlings!

Mark Perletta: And Stephen Rawlings becomes the fourth and final person to win a quarterfinal match, putting himself into the semifinals with Jake Dominion and Justin Moreno, who will square off in the other side of the brackets, as well as Diego de Cardenas, who Stephen Rawlings will meet in the ring to determine the winner of their side of the brackets.

Joey C: It's still setting up very nicely to be a finals with Jake Dominion vs Stephen Rawlings, which I think looks very promising for Jake Dominion.

Mark Perletta: There have been a couple of upsets thus far in the Hawkins Memorial Tournament, so just about anything could happen in the two semi-final matches.

Landon Savage: I've heard that with three shows left prior to the next pay per view event, that one of the two semi-finals will happen on the next show, one will occur on the show following that one, and then there will be one show with no tournament matches prior to the pay per view.

Giving it Thought

[-- We return from commercial with Crash entering Smith Cartwright's executive skybox. A security guard shuts the door behind Crash. Smith Cartwright stands up from his seat overlooking the Wachovia Center. He extends his hand to Crash, who in return extends his and shakes it. --]

Smith Cartwright: I'm glad you accepted my invitation to come and check out the show, Crash. Please... Have a seat.

[-- Smith extends his hand to the seat right next to his. Crash smirks and sits down. Smith does the same. --]

Smith Cartwright: Would you like something to drink from the bar?

Crash: Yeah. I'll go with a Sam Adams Boston Lager if ya don't mind.

[-- Smith nods and a waitress runs over to the bar to fetch the drink. The bartender quickly pops the top off the beer and the waitress brings the beer back on a tray with a chilled glass. She places the glass down and pours the Vienna-styled lager into the glass. Crash smiles and pulls out the wad of money in his pants pocket. He tries to hand the young woman a $20 bill but Smith Cartwright stops him. --]

Smith Cartwright: Please, no. You are LEGACY's guest tonight, we'll take care of that. I just want you to sit back and relax and enjoy our show.

[-- Smith hands the young woman some money. She walks away. Crash shrugs his shoulders and agrees to go with the flow. He takes a big sip from his beer and places it back down on the table next to him. --]

Smith Cartwright: So did you get a chance to visit anyone and meet a few of the guys backstage?

Crash: Yeah I did, actually. I got to meet up and chit chat with a couple of guys who wrestled with me back in my day and I talked with some of the old crew members from back in the day that I remembered. I also met Belote's kid...

[-- Noticing the tone of Crash's voice and knowing what kind of mood John has been in lately, Smith's smile turns into a cringe. --]

Smith Cartwright: How was he?

Crash: Ah, well ... I think the little bastard is an asshole. I wouldn't mind getting back into the ring to teach him a lesson.

Smith Cartwright: Yeah well, you’re retired now. We don't have you under contract either.

Crash: First off, I'm not retired. I never retired from this business. I just walked away. Secondly, I'm not sure if I want to even sign a contract.

Smith Cartwright: Well if you are going to wrestle here, your going to need to sign a contract. We can't have you wrestle, get hurt and turn around and sue us. I know you wouldn't but its a precautionary step we take, because no man is better than any other man.

[-- Crash nods his head. --]

Crash: I understand. I never stopped training. Physically, I'm in the best shape of my life. I'm not sure if I want to sign a contract and wrestle full-time again though.

Smith Cartwright: Well you know we do have a more relaxed schedule than most other companies. We could offer you a one year contract with a mutual option for a second year. I know Rob would love to have you in LEGACY.

Crash: Yeah well, I've entertained the idea of coming back a few times but I'm just not sure.

[-- Smith cuts him off. --]

Smith Cartwright: Well look, do me a favor and come to our next show and we'll go from there. I'm sure Rob will get in touch with you by then.

[-- Crash stands up. --]

Crash: Y'know what? We'll see. We'll see what happens. I'm gonna do some more walking around. I'll probably come back up before the night is over.

[-- Smith nods his head as Crash makes his way to the door. The security guard opens it for him and Crash walks out. There is a walker and a colostomy bag in the hallway. The scene then switches to a shot of the recap position. --]

Mark Perletta: Hall of Famer and former CEWF World Champion known as Crash apparently considering signing a LEGACY contract, and I've gotta say it, John Thomas had better think about what he's doing before he continues antagonizing Crash.

Joey C: I've seen what Crash is capable of, and if John wants to hear it from a person who saw it first hand, he needs go no further than to talk to Rob Belote, who nearly had his career ended because of the damage Crash did to his leg.

Landon Savage: The matches Rob Belote had with Crash almost certainly shortened his career a bit.

Mark Perletta: A very heated feud between Rob Belote and Crash a couple years ago, happening about a couple months prior to Belote's retirement, we could talk about that for a while, but we've got a huge show tonight and we have to keep moving along.

Joey C: And if I'm not mistaken, we have the first of three championship matches tonight coming up next.

No Limit Title Match
Eric Wolfson vs Katsuro Yoshida (c)

Mark Perletta: Having never really had any sort of interactions with one another, no one was expecting this to be a heated contest, and that's exactly how it got all started out.

Joey C: Because this was a title match, though, that's all the incentive that either one of them needed to fight hard in this one.

Landon Savage: It started out as a regular match, not taking advantage of any of the rules that a No Limit division match affords, just two men going at it in the middle of the ring just like any normal title match.

Mark Perletta: These two are both world-class athletes, and just because it's a No Limit Title match, that doesn't mean this had to be a hardcore contest.

Joey C: It didn't stay in the ring, though. As Eric Wolfson went for a vertical suplex, Katsuro Yoshida was able to block the attempt and then reverse the suplex, turning, taking a step back, and sending Wolfson over the top and down to the outside.

Mark Perletta: At first I thought that Katsuro Yoshida wasn't going to do well with the No Limits Championship, based on his traditional upbringing and the honorable competition he's been a part of thus far in his career. After Wolfson got suplexed to the outside, when Katsuro Yoshida slingshotted himself over the top rope to the outside down onto Eric Wolfson, I knew he was going to work out in this division.

Joey C: Things got fairly heated outside, too, and Katsuro Yoshida didn't do all the damage, either.

Landon Savage: Eric Wolfson with a couple of nice irish whips into the steel guardrail, but Katsuro Yoshida kept coming back, not wanting to lose his title just yet, not in the first defense.

Mark Perletta: After the second time Katsuro got sent into the steel guardrail, he was able to shove Wolfson's back into the ringpost, and then he sent him back into the ring underneath the bottom rope and then followed him back in, hoping to continue the match in there.

Joey C: As the match continued on, only one of them would end up going outside the ring again, and it would play a big part in the ending of the match.

Start : Footage from the Match

Katsuro Yoshida goes for an irish whip, but Eric Wolfson reverses it and sends the Bushido Buntai member into the ropes. Wolfson follows him in and hits a clothesline as soon as Katsuro starts to rebound off of the ropes, sending Yoshida over the rope and down to the outside.

Landon Savage: Katsuro Yoshida sent over the ropes to the outside from a nice clothesline there by Eric Wolfson...

Mark Perletta: This gives Wolfson a moment to stop and catch his breath.... Wait a minute, there's a commotion in the crowd outside the ring going on behind Eric Wolfson's back...

The cameras pan over to see what's going on, and they just barely get there in time to spot Gryffin Anselm hopping the guardrail and sliding into the ring. Eric Wolfson feels the ring mat shake a little bit and he turns around just in time to get nailed with a hard right hand, and then Gryffin picks him up onto his shoulders, turns towards the middle of the ring and PLANTS Wolfson into the mat with the DEVASTATOR.

Mark Perletta: And Gryffin Anselm comes into the ring and he attacks Eric Wolfson, and he is OUT! The question... is WHY did he do it?

Landon Savage: Eric Wolfson got a title shot that rightfully belonged to Gryffin, and Jake Dominion has been rubbing it in since Gryffin found out, and so Gryffin wanted a little payback.

Joey C: And it looks like he got a little bit of payback!

Without being seen by Katsuro Yoshida, Gryffin Anselm slides on out of the ring, sticking around to watch things play out. Slowly Yoshida gets back into the ring after seeing that Wolfson is down, and when Eric is still on the mat even after Katsuro is back in the ring, the Bushido Buntai member decides to try to ensure he gets a win, so he picks up Wolfson, lifts him into the air and hits a crucifix bomb, then spins Wolfson around into the Cattle Mutilation submission while keeping his arms hooked in. The referee steps in and checks, and Wolfson is out.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner as a result of a SUBMISSION and STILL No Limits Champion... Katsuro Yoshida!

Mark Perletta: Katsuro Yoshida, with a little bit of help from Gryffin Anselm, picks up the win and successfully defends the No Limits Championship.

Joey C: Well it was a hard fought match one way or another, and I tend to think that Katsuro Yoshida might have been able to successfully defend the belt either way, but because of Gryffin Anselm, we'll never know.

Landon Savage: Gryffin had every right to cause whatever outcome of that match he wanted, because quite frankly he SHOULD HAVE BEEN in that match. And furthermore, it's basically Jake Dominion's fault that all this happened, based on how he's been taunting Gryffin Anselm. He basically asked for Gryffin to get involved.

Joey C: Dominion's lucky that Anselm didn't interfere in his match against Tim Jones tonight, or else we'd be seeing a totally different semi-finals, and quite frankly, a semi-finals that wouldn't be quite as good as what we've got set up.

Backstage

As Loco Martinez walks with a slight limp down the back halls of the arena, not really looking forward to going back to the locker room that he and John Thomas were sharing, he takes the long way back. Not in the greatest of moods after losing his match, Loco doesn’t really talk to anyone as he navigates the back area. The one person he does end up talking to isn’t necessarily by choice, however. As Loco turns one of the corners, standing down the hall from him, getting a soda is Diego de Cardenas. When he notices Loco coming towards him, he puts his drink back down on the table and a grin appears on his face. He nudges Hannah Perez, standing next to him, and nods in Martinez’s direction.

Diego de Cardenas – So, if it isn’t the second half of “Team Loser”. I hear Johnny didn’t take his loss earlier tonight too well. You might want to consider getting him to join some anger management.

Loco just stands there and doesn’t respond.

Diego de Cardenas – And how about you, not taking that loss to Anselm as bad, despite the history between you guys?

Diego starts to laugh.

Diego de Cardenas – Or are you blaming it all on your little ankle “injury”?

Loco glares at Diego.

Loco: You know what?

Loco just shakes his head as if saying "you're not worth it", and brushes past de Cardenas. A whole lot more bothering him than this run in.

Tao of Valor Match
Dan Stein vs Herb Moxley (c)

Mark Perletta: This match was every bit as heated as we thought it was going to be, but to be honest, I was amazed at the intensity that Herb Moxley brought to the match..

Joey C: It's really not something we've seen from him more than maybe one other time in his career, but when Dan Stein got into that ring here tonight, Herb Moxley went right after him.

Landon Savage: All out brawling back and forth definitely not Moxley's strong point, Dan Stein was able to gain control of this match after a little bit of back-and-forth, and in the middle part of the match, Stein did a lot of damage to Moxley.

Mark Perletta: One of the reasons that the fans got behind Moxley in the first place, though, is that he has a heart of gold and a will as unbreakable as diamonds, and there was no quit in Moxley in this match, as he kept pushing and going as hard as he could, trying to not only get a win, but extract a little revenge in the process.

Joey C: Sure, Moxley might have been putting in the old "110%" because of the hatred he has developed for Dan Stein, but Stein was in there battling just as hard, fueled by the resentment he's developed for Moxley. Anyone who thought that Moxley had more reason to want to win this match than Dan Stein was obviously not paying attention the past six months.

Mark Perletta: Alternatively, anyone who thought that Dan Stein was the only one with strong feelings coming into this match doesn't know the fully history between Moxley and Stein. They used to be great friends. They used to hang out just as much as Moxley hangs out with DJ Cassidy. Dan Stein threw that all away, and in the process seemingly wants to ruin everything Moxley has going for him.

Landon Savage: For whatever reason, Jen X seems to be unwaivering in her devotion to Herb Moxley, but the Tao of Valor Championship, that's something that Dan Stein has the ability to ruin tonight.

Joey C: Despite the fact that this was an Ultimate X match, the reinforced ropes hanging diagonally across the ring with the Tao of Valor Championship hanging from the intersection above the center of the ring, they weren't really utilized much in this match.

Mark Perletta: You're absolutely right, Joey, and to be honest, the championship belt on the line almost seemed like an after-thought, with the first priority for both of these competitors was to hurt their opponent.

Start : Footage from the Match

As Dan Stein starts to get to his feet, Herb Moxley sets up with one foot up off the mat, then raises his arms out to the side into a craned pose. Just as Stein moves in to get back to work on Herb, he's met with the Super Sweet Karate Kick from Moxley, which takes him down off of his feet and back down to the match. At this point, Herb starts to make his way towards the corner, but he thinks differently and then heads out of the ring and drops down to the floor. Herb pulls up the ring apron and pulls a ladder out from underneath the ring and tosses it in underneath the bottom rope.

Mark Perletta: Herb Moxley bringing a ladder into the match, and you'd have to think that he's going to try to use that to get to the Tao of Valor belt, as nothing in the rules of this match state that you HAVE to shimmy across the reinforced ropes to get to the title.

Landon Savage: Going right to work, Moxley now has the ladder all set up, and he's starting to climb.

Getting up off the mat, Dan Stein spots Moxley halfway up the ladder, so he scurries over as quickly as he can and dives into the ladder, jarring it backwards away from the title. Moxley holds on, trying not to fall off, and then he looks up and notices that he's not directly below the belt anymore, but he starts climbing a little more. Dan Stein moves and reaches up and grabs Herb Moxley, trying to pry him off the ladder. Moxley is able to hold on for a moment, but then Stein pulls him hard enough to take him off of the ladder, and he has the presence of mind to turn Herb over and Dan slams his opponent down onto his knee.

Joey C: What a move there by Dan Stein to hit a gutbuster on Herb Moxley!

Mark Perletta: Herb Moxley down on the mat, and this doesn't look good for him... and what's Dan Stein doing, moving the ladder?

Stein sets up the ladder away from where the belt is hanging and starts to ascend it. Once he gets to the very top, he holds his arms out to the side in a crucifiction post just like he did on the last STRIFE after attacking Moxley. From there he leaps up, does a complete backflip twice and lands down onto Moxley.

Mark Perletta: A huge high risk move there by Dan Stein, not only hitting a shooting star press, but adding extra backflip rotation to it as well!

Joey C: Not many guys could've pulled that extra rotation off, but one thing you have to remember about Dan Stein is that he's a diver, that's how he's in such good shape. It's all about those abdominal muscles.

Despite having been the one who hit that move, Dan Stein struggles to get up, holding his ribs. After rolling over towards the edge of the ring, Stein doesn't try to get up, but instead he slips out of the ring underneath the bottom rope. Lifting up the ring apron, Dan Stein looks underneath the ring, and then he emerges with a steel chair. Moxley still on the mat, struggling to get up, Stein shoves the chair into the ring underneath the bottom rope, sliding it across the mat. Putting one hand onto the middle rope, Stein is about to hop up onto the ring apron, when suddenly the crowd erupts in cheers as DJ Cassidy comes sprinting out from the back. Hearing the eruption, Dan stops and looks to see what's going on, and by that time Cassidy slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope and hops up onto his feet. He grabs the ladder, collapses it and shoves it out of the ring underneath the bottom rope and then immediately makes his way over to the side of the ring where Dan Stein was about to get back up onto the apron and he starts yelling at Stein, keeping him at bay.

Joey C: What's he doing? This is a "No Disqualifications" match. If Dan Stein wants to use a chair, he's completely entitled to.

Mark Perletta: Herb Moxley is down, there's no need for Dan Stein to use a chair or inflict any more damage from the ladder. Even if it's legal, it's not something that Cassidy wants to see, so he's just out here protecting his tag team partner. And since this IS a No Disqualification match, it's not illegal for DJ Cassidy to be out here...

While Dan Stein and DJ Cassidy continue to have a standoff and verbal exchange, slowly Herb Moxley works his way up off the mat. Once he shakes the cobwebs loose, Moxley looks around and surveys the scene. He notices DJ Cassidy in the ring, Dan Stein outside the ring, and a steel chair on the mat about four feet from him. Walking over, Moxley heads straight for the chair and picks it up. Stretching for a moment to loosen up, Moxley then taps the chair on the mat and moves over closer to DJ Cassidy, never removing his gaze from his opponent.

Mark Perletta: What was that Moxley just said?

Landon Savage: I believe he said "let him in". I think Moxley wants Stein back in the ring... Moxley wants to hit Dan Stein with that chair!

Joey C: And apparently DJ Cassidy doesn't like that idea too much either, wanting to protect the "integrity" of his tag team partner.

Knowing Herb's intentions, Cassidy steps in front of his tag team partner and puts up his hands and pleads with him to put down the chair, not wanting him to end things that way. As they exchange words, Dan Stein notices an opportunity and reaches under the ring and gets a second steel chair, trying to be discrete about it. Back in the ring, Herb Moxley is trying to move forward past DJ Cassidy, who remains in his path. Wanting to convince Moxley as strongly as possible, DJ Cassidy starts backing Herb Moxley up, all the way back into a corner. The argument at this point changes slightly, and now Herb Moxley starts questioning why Cassidy won't let him go, why he's backing him into a corner. That's all the break Stein needs, and he stealthfully slides into the ring, keeping DJ Cassidy in between he and Moxley. As the two continue to argue, neither one of them realizes that Stein is back in the ring, chair in hand. The excitement level in the crowd is seriously increasing, and there's a huge silencing of the crowd when Dan Stein runs over and swings hard with the steel chair, nailing Moxley in the forehead, knocking Cassidy down to the mat in the process.

Joey C: Stein with a chairshot! Moxley's down! Cassidy's down, but he's getting back up

Mark Perletta: Another chairshot from Stein, and now Cassidy's on the mat!

Landon Savage: Almost a swinging uppercut shot from Stein, and Cassidy's down and out!

Taking Moxley by the arm, Stein drags his opponent out of the corner and into the center of the ring. Backing up a step, Stein then takes a few steps back in towards Moxley, hops up off the mat and in one fluid motion puts the chair underneath his leg and drives it into the face of Herb Moxley, and the fans booing intensifies. Leaving the chair next to Moxley's lifeless body, Stein walks over, picks up Cassidy as if to go for a bodyslam, and he walks over to the corner and sets DJ up into a Tree-of-Woe position. After walking back towards Herb Moxley, Stein picks up the steel chair with which he just nailed his opponent, then turns around and sprints back towards Cassidy. In one fluid motion, Stein throws the chair at Cassidy's head and jumps into a dropkick, SMASHING it right into DJ's face and dropping him down to the mat from the Tree-of-Woe position.

Mark Perletta: This... this doesn't look good for either Herb Moxley OR DJ Cassidy.

Joey C: And DJ Cassidy put them in this spot by holding back Herb Moxley and not letting him go after Dan Stein with that chair.

Mark Perletta: He wouldn't want Herb to resort to that sort of thing, especially since he'd probably regret it later against a former friend, and I can't blame him, but some probably might.

With a proud smirk on his face, Dan Stein walks over and climbs up the turnbuckle, using the extended corner ringpost for balance. Once atop the third turnbuckle, Dan turns and faces the center of the ring, looking down on both Herb Moxley and DJ Cassidy, and then he looks up at the Tao of Valor Championship belt, hanging from the intersection points of the two reinforced ropes forming the "X".

Mark Perletta: One hand up on the reinforced rope... now another... and now he's starting to shimmy his way down to the intersection point, and when he unlatches the belt and drops down to the mat, he will be the new champion.

Joey C: That's right, Marky, it's not a question of "If..." anymore, it's a matter of "WHEN"!!

Landon Savage: Well there's nothing that's going to stop him, so it should just be a matter of a couple more moments before he takes that belt.

As Stein continues to make his way towards the intersection and the title, the booing from the fans intensifies as they stand on their feet, waiting, hoping, praying for someone to come out and stop what appears to be inevitable. One hand after another, Dan approaches the title and the fans are losing hope. As he gets two feet from the belt, the prize within arms length, Stein takes one last look down at the lifeless Moxley and Cassidy on the mat, and then he reaches over and grabs the championship belt. He unhooks it, puts it over his shoulder, then drops down to the mat, and the referee on the outside calls for the bell.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner... and NEW Tao of Valor Champion... Dan Stein!

Mark Perletta: And very much to the dismay of almost all of the fans here tonight, we have a new Tao of Valor Champion.

Joey C: Dan Stein doing exactly what he had hoped to do, and that was take Herb Moxley's first singles championship away from his former friend.

Landon Savage: After all that work that it took for Herb Moxley to get the shot at that belt, after the sacrifice he made in taking on two championship matches at Advent Empire, it must be very demoralizing to Moxley to lose it like this, especially with the situation going down like Mercutio's end in Romeo and Juliet... not that either of you or many of our fans have any idea what I'm talking about.

Mark Perletta: Obviously a Shakespearean reference there, but the real story is that after the match Herb Moxley needed medical attention, a stretcher taking him from the ring.

Joey C: Well Moxley was already really banged up after Stein hit that double shooting star press off of that ladder, and that's probably part of the reason why DJ Cassidy wanted to keep weapons from coming into play, because he didn't want to see something like this happen to his tag team partner.

Mark Perletta: Now I guess we'll have to see how soon Herb Moxley can come back from this sort of injury, and you'd imagine that he'd have the next shot at Dan Stein whenever he's ready to return.

Revalations

(The camera’s now veers out of the hall-way, and makes its way down the corridor to the private managerial dressing rooms of the Rhodes’. There seems to be a warm embracing type of vibe going on, since Susan and Nicole’s door is left wide open. Inside, we see the visages of those Rhodes cousins oddly not with Marion, but being left to their own devices. The Rhodes’ are both seen looking at the television monitor with plain looks plastered on their faces, nothing seems to be upsetting or exciting either cousin one way or another. But you knew better than to think all good things could last forever, didn’t you?)

SUSAN RHODES: Nicole, I want to ask you a question…

(Just then…those untimely Robins Twins come barreling into plain-view, hardly asking to enter the premises. Obviously, they’ve made their way to the backstage area once again, finding another culprit to harass. The twins walk into the room and give a sorta prepared monologue. Susan looks at the sixteen year olds in astonishment, not really sure how to respond. However, a cat never got Maria’s tongue before.)

MARIA ROBINS: Don’t ask her a question. Ask me, no, ask us! We’ll be honest. Honest, ‘till it hurts. By the way, you’re a bit more bloated in person than you are on television, hell; those cheap little shoes don’t have any support for those biscuits bursting out the sides.

(Annoyance crosses Rhode’s face as she looks on without a clue. However, the more fluky of the twins, Joelle adds her “much-needed” two cents. Joelle stands tall, as tall as five-foot-five inches could afford and walks directly into the path of Susan Rhodes.)

JOELLE ROBINS: How do you do? In case you were wondering who we are, we’ll we’ve decided to come clean. We’ve been sharing your bed.

(Nicole takes a step back and examines the scene. A mixture of anticipation for any, and everything being a possibility at this point. Susan, gets a word in edge-wise finally and responds, with her sunny blonde hair let-down, shining under the lightning.)

SUSAN RHODES: Come again.

MARIA ROBINS: And again, and again. Nice word-play.

(Susan scratches her head still dumbfounded at the advances of the sixteen year old twins. Joelle responds quickly to her sisters little “cute” heckling, and says…)

JOELLE ROBINS: I thought so, too. Yeah, my sister is right, we know Marcus in more ways than you can imagine. And, just in case you don’t believe we’ve got more than a couple of saunas hot and sweaty in our day, Marcus prepared us greatly for this moment. So, here is our qualifier. You’ve got a nice little butterfly tattoo above your navel, and two inches above your buttocks, you have a nice little image of the Viper Room.

(Susan starts to piece together the words of the ultra bold twins and makes mention, as her face is distorted with heavy dissatisfaction.)

SUSAN RHODES: How did you know that? But…you…you’re young girls. You’re lying!

(Susan in a childish moment closes her ears as to not hear any more from Marion’s groupie twins. The eldest of the two, Maria picks up where her more free-spirited sister left off.)

MARIA ROBINS: We knew you’d say that. Hmm…how can I lead a dumb ass to the riverbank and have her drink the truth? Who knows, but I’ll try anyway. But we aren’t quite finished, your cousin who you’ve loved and adored since you were old enough to jump-rope, she’s been dipping in that Marion sauce, too. And, as Ms ‘Thang once said…

(The twins both harmonize on this one, proud, almost too proud of their disgusting arrogance, which is almost Marion-like.)

TWINS: It was hmmm…mmm…good!

(At this point with her envy journey almost complete, Nicole tries her best to summon some negative emotion. Susan looks at her, and then back at the twins, who smile and wave, and one last time at Nicole again. Nicole violently shakes her head ‘no’ as to say the twins are indeed, lying.)

NICOLE RHODES: There lying, Susie. Don’t believe them. We are cousins, sisters even; I would NEVER eye your merchandise.

(Susan responds, with her eyes filled with a hint of sorrow and confusion.)

SUSAN RHODES: GET OUT! NOW!!

(The twins look at each other as to say, their work is finished and close out the scene with these haunting words.)

TWINS: We told you we’d be honest ‘till it hurt.

(The twins quickly skedaddle out of the dressing room quarters of the Rhodes’. Susan turns a questionable glance toward Nicole who in-turn, continues to deny the vicious accusations.)

World Title Match
Nicholas Creed vs Greyson Blade (c)

Mark Perletta: The main event World Title Match got started off slowly, nowhere near as personal a contest as the match between Stein and Moxley. By the time we got to the end of this contest, though, it got heated.

Joey C: Creed started things off even before the match with some mind games, still having the World title in his possession, flaunting it prior to the match.

Mark Perletta: And what this broke down to was a battle of two strong men wanting to prove they were stronger and tougher than the other.

Landon Savage: And what better way to do that than to start it off with a shoving match that goes nowhere, neither man getting an advantage over the other.

Mark Perletta: From there they went to a test of strength, and instead of going about it honestly, Creed decides to cheat. Once he has the upperhand, SIN starts beating down Greyson Blade, trying to wear him out early.

Joey C: Unfortunately for some of us, Greyson was able to come back.

Mark Perletta: From there Greyson gets back in the match and battles back and forth with Creed, using a ton of power moves.

Landon Savage: A big spot in this match happened when Creed was able to break out of a belly-to-belly attempt by Blade, and then he locks the champ into a bearhug.

Joey C: The bearhug from Creed took a lot out of Greyson Blade, as did the headbutts Greyson used to break free from SIN's grasp.

Start : Footage from the Match

Greyson goes for a hard right hand but Creed blocks it and then nails Blade in the ribs with a strong roundhouse kick to the ribs. From there nails a backhanded fist into Blade's chest. Kicking Greyson Blade in the gut, Nicholas Creed doubles him over and starts slamming his knee upwards into Greyson's face, over and over and over again, turning Blade's head slightly to hit on the cheekbone instead of flush with the nose. After hitting five knee-thrusts, Creed lets go and then grabs Greyson and lifts him up high over his head into a gorilla press position, holding him up there for about four seconds before throwing him down to the mat.

Mark Perletta: An awesome display of power there by the challenger.

Joey C: If he would move in and capitalize on it, he might not be the challenger much longer, but he's wasting time taunting the crowd.

Landon Savage: I think we all know what he's going to go for next, and if he hits the REIGN OF SIN, this thing will be over.

Mark Perletta: I don't believe anyone has ever kicked out after being hit with that move, and if he is able to connect with it, we'll have a new champion.

Creed stands behind Greyson and waits for him to get to his feet, and when he does, Nicholas immediately moves in and tries to lock in his full-nelson. Blade fights it, not wanting to let Creed get the hold locked in, trying to avoid the REIGN OF SIN. Creed keeps trying to lock in both of his arms, Blade keeps fighting it, but slowly Creed starts moving his arms closer and closer together. Before he can get it locked on, though, Creed is shoved backwards by Greyson, who drives him into the corner back-first. Ramming him in once doesn't work, so Blade takes a couple steps out of the corner and rams Nicholas' back in two more times, causing Creed to let go of the hold.

Mark Perletta: Greyson Blade avoids the REIGN OF SIN, but can he capitalize?

Joey C: Creed's not just going to give up!

Despite having the hold broken, Creed starts hammering in on Greyson with clubbing shots to the back of his head and neck. Greyson turns around, blocks one of the right hands and then drives his shoulder into Creed's gut, doubling him over just enough. Blade then grabs Creed up onto his shoulders, turns and falls backwards into the middle of the ring, hitting the Outlaw Drop. The fans start to go wild and Greyson gets back up to his feet and stumbles backwards, running on pure adrenaline. Nicholas Creed works his way to his feet, and as he turns around to see where the World Champion is he's IMMEDIATELY taken off of his feet with the KILLSHOT, and Greyson hooks the leg to go for the pinfall attempt....

ONE!

TWO!!

THREE!!!

Josephina Colbert: And your winner as a result of PINFALL and STILL LEGACY World Champion... Greyson Blade!

The bell sounds and the referee walks over to the corner and is handed the LEGACY World Title from the time keeper. By the time he gets there, Greyson Blade gets up off the mat and takes the championship belt. he slowly moves over and climbs up onto the second rope and hoists the belt up over his head.

Mark Perletta: After a very hard fought match, Greyson Blade finds a way to come out of this victorious, and he looks absolutely spent.

Joey C: It looks like Greyson underestimated Nicholas Creed, and it nearly cost him the World Title. The only question I have is whether next time around if Nicholas Creed finds a weakness in Blade to exploit during the rematch. If he can do that, he'll take that belt home with him.

Landon Savage: Well Nicholas Creed may have lost the match... he may have failed to gain the World Title, but it doesn't look like he's done with Greyson Blade here tonight!

Slowly Greyson Blade steps down off of the turnbuckle, and as he turns around he's met with a running forearm from Nicholas Creed, sending him backwards, nailing the back of his head on the top turnbuckle before he drops down to the mat. The fans explode in an uproar of booing.

Mark Perletta: Nicholas Creed now laying into Greyson Blade, stomping him repeatedly, keeping the champion down on the mat... now kicking him to the outside!

Landon Savage: And Creed is following him out there!

Moving through the ropes and hopping off the apron, Creed gets down to the arena floor and then picks Greyson up and SMASHES his head into the ringpost. As Blade collapses down to the the ground, Creed stomps down twice right across Greyson's forehead, and the blood gushes down all over his face.

Mark Perletta: Greyson Blade is busted COMPLETELY open, and this goes WAY past the line! We saw Nicholas Creed let his frustrations take over when he lost the Tao of Valor Championship to Herb Moxley at ADVENT EMPIRE, and now... now this... this... this DISGUSTING display.

Landon Savage: Nicholas Creed drops down to his knees, and he appears intent on causing some more damage! Laying into Greyson with a series of hard right hands right to the forehead!

Joey C: And here come the LEGACY officials and referees to break this thing up, but the damage, it's been done.

The referees and officials grab Creed and pull him off of Greyson Blade, but as they do, he twists and pulls his arms away, releasing himself from most of their grips. As a couple of them come back in to pull him away, Creed takes a couple steps in their direction and shoves them full force, causing them to fall backwards. The other two that are trying to restrain Creed then step in and try to hold him back, and he hiptosses one of them down to the mat, and then grabs the other and shoves him back-first into the steel guardrail. A few more LEGACY officials run out from the back to help their fallen co-workers. The first one down the ramp catches the attention of Nicholas Creed, and he clotheslines them down to the ground hard.

Mark Perletta: I can't believe he just did that! He just attacked LEGACY officials, and there's no signs of him stopping anytime soon!

Joey C: Now he's starting to choke the life out of that official who he clotheslined down to the mat, and this... this goes beyond "uncalled for".

Landon Savage: And here come the police, so Nicholas Creed sees them and lets go of the official and walks back over and lays into Greyson Blade with a few more shots to the head, making sure he stays down.

Enjoying Every Second

The camera’s float to the backstage area in the hall-way, where a television monitor hangs. Viewable on the flat-screen is aftermath of the LEGACY Championship match that took place between Greyson Blade and “SIN”, Nicholas Creed. Marcus Marion is seen with his usual orange frat-boyish polo shirt on, his blonde hair spiked and styled to fit your traditional stereotype. On the monitor we can see Creed laying into the LEGACY Champion with a vicious post-match assault. The cameras pan back and forth between the assault, and Marion’s face which is shackled with a wide grin, nauseating would be one word to describe it...and if we were waiting for some type of comment from the former World Champion, well, here’s a phrase.

MARCUS MARION: Hit him again and harder next time! Yeah, that’s the way you do it, uh, yeah, that’ll ruin a night.

The show fades to black on the image of Marcus Marion with a huge grin on his face.
