Strife
8.07.2006

The LEGACY Tour logo shows up on a black screen and it fades out as "Awake" by Godsmack starts to play, and clips from past shows fade in and out. The first clip we see has Jack Henderson locking the rear naked choke on Creed, and it's followed up with a shot of Creed hitting the REIGN OF SIN. Next are clips from the match between Matt Larcen and Cian Randal, showing Larcen picking up the win. Then we see Jimmy Smith powerbombing Aaron Beaudway and then hitting the UP ALL NIGHT elbow drop. Former tag team partners Conor McLellan and Declan O'Leary battle it out in the middle of the ring. We then see the RULE OF DOMINION finisher by the Old School Kings.

We next see clips from the match between the Revenge of the Nerds and Bushido Buntai. Quickly following that are clips from the two matches that took place involving Gryffin Anselm and Tim Jones. Then various shots from the two contests between Stephen Rawlings and Katsuro Yoshida play across the screen, ending with a shot of Stephen Rawlings picking up a victory and having his hand raised into the air. Marcus Marion and John Thomas battle it out, ending with black and white still images of Marion using a chair, with the audio from that match dubbed in over top. We then see Loco Martinez get into the ring with Marcus and the two of them battle it out, leading up to John Thomas hopping the guardrail and getting into the ring and nailing Marion with the falling neckbreaker drop. The final clips we see are from the matches between Greyson Blade and Dan Stein. Once those play we see still images of Nicholas Creed, then Gryffin Anselm, then the Revenge of the Nerds with Jen X standing between them, and finally a shot of Greyson Blade.

TONIGHT'S LINEUP

The show opens on a shot of Mark Perletta, Landon Savage and Joey C sitting behind a desk that resembles what you would see anchors sit behind in the studio of a sports news program such as Sports Center. Behind them is an elaborate backdrop which includes several flatscreen monitors, each of them showing the same view we're seeing right now of the recap trio. As the camera zooms in, the screens fade into a shot of the yellow golden LEGACY logo.

Mark Perletta: Welcome once again to another edition of STRIFE, this is LEGACY and I'm your host, Mark Perletta. Sitting to my left is Landon Savage, and to my right is my long time broadcast partner Joey C.

Landon Savage: Let's see, how long has it been since we've had a STRIFE show? Too long, in my opinion, but what a show that was, all the titles were on the line in a great wrestling city like Montreal, and this week... well, I do have to say that Portland, Maine did turn out to be a much better wrestling city than I initially expected, though nowhere near as good as Montreal.

Joey C: And with such big shows going on lately, what with OPW's 100th show and SHOOT's big pay per view of the year and a fairly big STRIFE back on July 24th, I expected tonight's show to be more bland in comparison, but I'd have to say that plenty of stuff went down, and it was an action packed show.

Mark Perletta: A couple of title shots, a couple of number one contenders matches, and that's just the start of things, and with only a little over an hour to fill it all into, let's get right down to it, shall we?

Backstage

Stephen Rawlings was hurrying through the halls, stopping and looking in every locker room till eventually he found one with Dan Stein. He walked into the locker room uninvited, and without knocking. He walked up to Stein and looked him in the eyes.

Stephen Rawlings: Stein... I have something to say to you!

Stein, who was tying up an untied shoelace, looks up at Rawlings.

Dan Stein: Sure seems like it, Speedy.

After finishing his shoe, Stein looks up.

Dan Stein: Well?

Stephen Rawlings: You better not get involved in my match tonight! I can beat him, and I will beat him... You got that? Stay the fuck away from MY title win!

Stein chuckled, holding up his hands.

Dan Stein: Yeesh, Sparky. You can have your match for all I care. I waisted my shot, didn't I? I'm not gonna stand in your way. I may be a prick, Rawlings, but I'm a man. You deserve this shot. Go have fun.

Stein chuckled again, and sat up straight.

Dan Stein: Just try not to get killed out there.

Stephen Rawlings: Me get killed? Maybe you should hunt down Blade and pull your "I'm a man" act and use that line on him... Cuz I'm not going to lose... It may be hard to get it through your skull... But I'm better then both of you.. I will win... Thanks for trying to care though!

Stein looked at Rawlings, grinning.

Dan Stein: Uh huh. Who are you trying to convince? Me, or yourself. You're about as delusional as your cousin. Enjoy your match, Rawlings.

Stein waved, half heartedly, before turning to a TV left on in his locker room. Rawlings is speechless...

Stephen Rawlings: This isn't over!

Stephen then leaves, and Stein shakes his head.

Dan Stein: What a weird guy...

The camera then switches to a shot from the arena overlooking the ring from midway up the arena bowl.

Matt Larcen vs Declan O'Leary

Mark Perletta: With our first two matches of the night, there was plenty of talk since the booking sheet was released, people wondering how it was determined who would fight in each of these two matches.

Landon Savage: No beating around the bush, I'll get right to it: People were wondering how Cian Randal got into a match against Agent Wang for the chance at a Tao of Valor shot instead of Matt Larcen despite the fact that Larcen defeated Cian Randal just weeks ago.

Joey C: It's a very simple explanation: the bookers are on crack!

Mark Perletta: Well I wouldn't go that far, but what I've heard in the past is that LEGACY is all about providing people with opportunities, and it looks like they wanted to provide an opportunity to Agent Wang and Cian Randal, possibly to see whether that might motivate them, because to be quite honest, neither one of the two have seemed very motivated in the past couple of months.

Joey C: The complete opposite of Matt Larcen, who seems to be about the most motivated person in the damn world - or at least one of the more highly motivated competitors on the roster.

Landon Savage: Well either way, this was the opening match of the night, so would you two care if we actually got to talking about what happened in the ring?

Mark Perletta: The opening few moments of this match saw Matt Larcen take the fight directly to Declan O'Leary, laying into him with repeated fists and kicks, dropping Declan O'Leary down to one knee.

Landon Savage: Yeah but being the crazy Celtic bastard that he is, Declan O'Leary sprung right back up and started laying into Larcen with a FLURRY of left hands, knocking Larcen to the mat, then back down again after Matt gets back to his feet, and then back down to the mat for a third time.

Joey C: At that point Matt Larcen did a smart thing, he rolled backwards before getting up, slowing down the pace of the mat.

Mark Perletta: Having not been in a lot of matches in the past few months, Declan O'Leary continued to display a bit of ring rust, but he also showed that continuing resolve and toughness we've come to expect from him, taking all the punishment Larcen was dishing out and sending some of his own brand of offense right back at Larcen.

Landon Savage: The most important thing Larcen did for himself this week was to not get too frustrated that his attack wasn't working as well as he could've hoped on Declan, and he kept pushing forward with his attack, using both flashy and grounded styles.

Start : Footage from the Match

Picking Declan up off the mat, Larcen nails him in the gut with a knee lift and then sets him up as if to go for a suplex, but then Declan blocks the attempt. Larcen starts to go for the suplex again and again Declan blocks it, only this time Declan backs up a step and nails Larcen in the face with a headbutt.

Mark Perletta: Oh my did that look like it ever hurt!

Landon Savage: I'm sure it did, but the problem for Declan is that it might not have hurt Larcen enough, because Matt still has the upperhand.

Joey C: Matt Larcen fires in with a forearm shot to the face that rocks Declan back, putting him into the corner, facing out towards the crowd.

Lifting Declan up as if to go for an atomic drop, Larcen places Declan into the corner stradling the second turnbuckle, his back towards the middle of the ring. Matt then exits out onto the apron and walks over to the corner, shoving Declan backwards, his legs still hooked in the ropes on opposite sides of the turnbuckle, leaving Declan leaning almost horizontal. Using the top rope for leverage, Larcen propels himself over the top rope and comes crashing down on the neck of Declan O'Leary, drilling him into the mat.

Mark Perletta: Creative move there from Matt Larcen... and where's he going now?

Landon Savage: Larcen to the top rope, Declan O'Leary out on the mat... he leaps...

Joey C: Shooting Star Press! The Grand Larceny!

Mark Perletta: Larcen goes for the cover...

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Winner by PINFALL : Matt Larcen

Joey C: Another match and another win for Matt Larcen.

Mark Perletta: You might not like his attitude, you might cover your children's ears when you hear the unfiltered things that come out of his mouth, but one thing you can not do thus far in LEGACY is deny his talent.

Landon Savage: Oh the kid's got talent, alright. Cian Randal wasn't the greatest opponent in the world, and Declan O'Leary was definitely not showing much in the way of signs of an Iron Fist Declan revival this week, but either way, Larcen picked up good wins in both of those matches.

Mark Perletta: And one would have to think that Larcen put himself into a good spot this week to earn a title shot sometime in the near future.

Behind the Curtain

Matt Larcen is heading back to his locker moments after his match. He stops as he recognizes Road Agent Carter Franklin.

Matt Larcen: You’re that dipshit that didn’t know my name last week.

Carter Franklin: Yeah, I’m sorry about-

Matt Larcen: Maybe you can explain to me what the HELL I’m doing fighting against a nobody named Darlin O’fucknuts while that cheerleader boy is getting a shot at a title?

Carter Fanklin: UH… Well think of it this way: We needed a great performer like
you to open the show. And Declan O’Leary isn’t exactly a nobody, he’s a former…

Matt Larcen: DON’T FUCKING patronize me you worthless SHIT.

Carter Fanklin: There’s no need to yell…

Matt Larcen: I’M NOT FUCKING YELLING YOU ASS FUCK!!

Carter Franklin: Look, I’m serious here… we think you have talent and wanted the fans-

Matt Larcen: THE FANS?

Carter Franklin: Yes-

Matt Larcen: FUCK THE FUCKING FANS. THEY SIT ON THEIR ASS ALL DAY FUCKING THEIR FISTS WHILE WISHING THEY WERE ME. You think I give a shit about these STUPID FUCKING PEOPLE!?

Matt Larcen picks up a trash can and throws it against the wall. Carter Franklin looks like he’s trying to find a way to get out of here.

Matt Larcen: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? A CHEERLEADER AND A DUMB ASS WHO’S LAST NAME IS WANG…. OH FUCK!! THAT’S FUCKING CLEVER, PENIS JOKES. LET’S GIVE TITLE SHOTS TO FUCKING CHEERLEADERS AND PENIS JOKES. MEANWHILE I HAVE TO FUCKING BREAK SOME GUYS NECK IN THE OPENING MATCH FOR THE FUCKING FANS!? THE SAME FUCKING FAGGOT FANS THAT TELL ME I FUCKING CURSE TOO MUCH AND CALL PEOPLE GAY TOO MUCH AND FUCKING YELL TOO FUCKING MUCH!?

Carter Franklin: Please… Mr. Larcen…

Matt Larcen: UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Carter Franklin: Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?

Matt Larcen: FUCK THE POT AND THE FUCKING KETTLE!!

Matt Larcen kicks the trash can that he threw earlier.

Matt Larcen: AND FUCK YOU!!

He storms off, much to the relief of Carter Franklin.

Goal Oriented

The malevolent voice of Howard Beale from "Network" blares over the speakers.

I’M AS MAD AS HELL – AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!

“We’re Not Going to Take it”, by twisted sister, plays over the PA system. The Fans cheer as Herb Moxley comes down to the ring wearing his newly re-released “Know Your Roll – and Play Your Turn” T-shirt, a pair of khaki shorts, and his half of the World tag team titles. He high fives some enthusiastic fans and hops into the ring.

Moxley: You see this?

Herb points at the tag team title.

Moxley: Three words.

He grins.

Moxley: Goal. Oriented. Nerd.

The fans cheer!!

Moxley: About a month ago I pledged that Cassidy and I would take these back from those Disorderly Dirt Bags – and we did just that. At that same time I also said that I would begin a quest… A quest for the one thing I chased after harder then Jen X herself.

The fans buzz as Moxley pauses.

Moxley: The TTW television title. Yeah I know, this isn’t TTW. And yes, I got the memo – it’s the Tao of Valor title now. And yep – I already got a shot and ended up getting the snot beat out of me by Nicholas Creed. I’m even man enough to admit I’m AFRAID of Nicholas Creed.

Moxley nods his head.

Moxley: The guy chews on steel and spits out thumb tacks. Anyone who isn’t afraid of him is either insane or Greyson Blade. But none of that REALLY matters – because I am persistent; hell it took me 57 letters before Ed Raymond gave me a job in this business.

Holding up one hand with all five fingers held up, Herb then puts up his second hand and puts two fingers up, as if to signify 57.

Moxley: I asked out Jen X 107 times before she realized it wasn’t a joke. And if it means I have to get my ass kicked by Nick Creed 200 more times before I take that belt... then so be it.

Another pause.

Moxley: If a jerk like Gryffin Anselm can make a run for two titles then so can I. If guys like Dan Stein and Bushido Buntai can ask for title shots, and get them? Why can’t the nerdly one get the same? I’m not saying I’ll quit if I don’t get the shot; that’s the kind of craps sap like Osamu and Yoshida pull – and yeah they’re the biggest thing out of Japan since Godzilla; so you better keep them happy. But none of that “Title shot or I quit” baby-crap from Moxley; I’m just putting it out there. I. want. IN!! I don’t care who I have to go through.

Moxley starts to speak with intensity and the crowd rallies behind him.

Moxley: I’ll kick EVERY LAST ASS in that locker room for the chance to GET MY ASS KICKED by Creed again!!

The crowd cheers and laughs as Moxley tosses the mic to the time keeper as his entrance music hits the PA system once again and the camera then switches back to a shot of the recap position.

Mark Perletta: Well Herb Moxley making his intentions known as to what he wants, and time will tell whether he'll get that shot or not.

Landon Savage: Up next we have a match between Agent Wang and Cian Randal, the winner getting a shot at the singles title that Herb Moxley wants to get his hands on - the Tao of Valor Championship.

Promo Recap

The words "from earlier this week" appear on the screen and the footage which follows is slightly grainy and is shown in black and white. It originally appeared earlier this week in a promo by Agent Wang.

Mike Scott: All I'm saying is, you haven't been around the wrestling scene for a while.. and..

Agent Wang: And what.. Cian Randal is some threat? Look at the guy. All he talks about is how great Illinois is.. I mean shit.. the guy has CHEERLEADERS follow him. We all know cheerleaders AREN'T the real nymphos.. their teases. Now dance team girls.. THEY'RE.. the hookers.

Cian Randal.. heh. Basically, the guy's a nutsack. I've seen him. I also saw Matt Larcen.. some idiotic piece of shit with anger problems DISMANTLE the guy. Is there anything left in Randal? Can Randal survive the Wang?

All Randal has to look forward to, Mike, is tasting the Wang..

Mike Scott: And I'm the homosexual, huh?

Agent Wang: I suppose so, since you DID look at it that way.

Fact is, Mikey, Randal isn't shit. After I pop him with a Wang Bang Operation.. and when the Wang chokes him out..

Mike Scott: My god..

Agent Wang: What, Mike.. too hetero for my punch lines? Shit, maybe you need to get laid.

Mike Scott: Listen.. all I'm saying is.. do I have the job? Do you want the help?

Agent Wang: NO. Well.. let me think.. sure. I could use someone to keep my hookers at bay and shit.

Mike Scott: Okay.. so I'm your publicist.

Agent Wang: Yeah you're my pubic whatever. Anyways.. I'm craving some chinese. Mind keeping my wife busy and fucking her brains out?....

Mike Scott: Hah...

Wait, are you serious?

Agent Wang: No, shithead. Touch her and you die. Oh .. and Mr. Publicist.. yeah, fag.. look.. look I'm self promoting!!....

Wang looks into the camera, fixing his disheveled and lengthy hair.

Agent Wang: FEEL THE WANG!

The scene then changes to an overhead shot of the ring and a graphic indicating what our next match is.

Number One Contender's Match
Tao of Valor Title
Agent Wang vs Cian Randal

Mark Perletta: With Cian Randal having only had one match thus far in LEGACY, and Agent Wang only having competed in one match here himself, a lot of people weren't sure what to expect going into this match.

Joey C: Most people I talked to weren't expecting much of anything during this match, totally discounting both Randal and Agent Wang, but to be very honest, Agent Wang was quite impressive during this match.

Landon Savage: Yeah, if you like the flashy spot-machine type of wrestlers who do a lot of high-risk maneuvers, then sure, Agent Wang might put on a good match in your book. To me, though, it was disappointing that Agent Wang kept giving Cian Randal chances to stay in this match.

Mark Perletta: Always the showman, Agent Wang went for high-risk move after high-risk move, pulling out every move in the book, puting an extra bit of spin or twist into every spot he could, and sure, it excited the fans, but the extra effort and extra risk just wasn't worth it.

Joey C: And Cian Randal tried his best to capitalize on the opportunities he was presented with, but given his inexperience in this business thus far, he wasn't able to capitalize on all of them, and that really hurt his chances in this match.

Mark Perletta: Cian did put together a couple of impressive moves and counters, doing a very impressive back-handspring into a dropkick maneuver.

Landon Savage: Typically it takes more than one move to win a match, though, and Cian's going to have to realize that if he wants any kind of future here in LEGACY.

Mark Perletta: Although not too many of them were conventional, Agent Wang put together quite a few moves throughout this match, especially near the end...

Start : Footage from the Match

Agent Wang gets in two hard right hands and then goes for an irish whip, but Cian reverses it and sends Wang into the ropes. On the return Randal goes for a clothesline but AW ducks underneath it and then hops up onto the top rope, propelling himself backwards and nailing Cian with a twisting springboard bodyblock, knocking him down to the mat.

Grabbing Cian by the arm, Agent Wang lifts him up off the mat and then kicks him in the gut before sprinting off towards the ropes. On the return Wang grabs Randal by the head, jumps up off the mat, twists in mid-air, turns, and then drives Cian's head into the mat with an acrobatic looking tornado ddt.

Mark Perletta: Yet another flashy move there by Agent Wang...

Landon Savage: Here he goes, out onto the apron... he springs up to the top rope...

Agent Wang waits, perched up on the top rope, waiting as Cian Randal stirs and tries to work his way up off the mat, completely oblivious to where his opponent is. As he makes his way to his feet, he starts turning around, looking for Wang, and as soon as he turns in the direction of the corner where his opponent is waiting, Randal is taken off his feet as Agent Wang flies off of the top rope, landing with his legs on either side of Cian's head, riding him down to the mat down onto his back.

Joey C: Wang Bang Operation! Here's the cover!

One...

Two...

Three!

Winner by PINFALL : Agent Wang

Mark Perletta: And Agent Wang does it, he gets the pinfall over Cian Randal and earns his shot at the Tao of Valor Championship next week!

Joey C: If I'm not mistaken, that match is going to be for a token piece, too, which makes it even that much bigger of a match for Agent Wang.

Landon Savage: And if I'm not mistaken that makes Cian Randal zero-for-two in his in-ring attempts here in LEGACY. Tell me something, how long will the front office go before dropping a guy off of a roster, because it looks like that time is quickly approaching for Cian Randal.

Narrowing the Field

The lights in the arena dim and white spotlights swing all around the arena as white strobelights flicker from all different points. "Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls starts to play over the P.A. system and the men all over the arena start cheering. The cheers change slightly to booing as Smith Cartwright is the one who walks out. With a mic in his hand, Cartwright doesn't even wait for the music to die out before he starts right up.

Smith Cartwright: I know, I know, the music doesn't fit with who just walked through the curtain, but it does fit each and every one of the contestants in the contest to determine the next LEGACY ring announcer!

The fans do start to cheer as they hear what's going on, and Cartwright continues.

Smith Cartwright: The votes for the first round have been cast, the list has been cut in half, and the ladies who were in the top six.... here they are...

The music over the P.A. system continues to play and the camera switches over to a shot of the entrance ramp. As each of the contestants come out, Smith Cartwright introduces her.

Smith Cartwright: Hannah Perez.

The sexy latina with golden brown hair walks out onto the stage and elicits a decent reaction from the crowd.

Smith Cartwright: Kimberley Valentino.

The Italian American seductress is next, and she gets a slightly bigger reaction than Hannah did.

Smith Cartwright: Julia Norman.

The blonde bombshell struts out onto the stage, receiving an even bigger response than either of the other two.

Smith Cartwright: Veronica Miller.

The brown haired hottie struts out to an even bigger response than any of the others before her, standing proudly on the stage.

Smith Cartwright: Josephina Colbert.

The large chested seductress walks out of the curtain to a really big reaction from the fans, and reaching the edge of the stage, she shakes her chest towards the fans.

Smith Cartwright: And the sixth and final contestant to make it out of the first round... Charlene Kimble.

Wearing her signature orange glasses, Charlene walks out from the back to the biggest response out of anyone thus far. Once all of the ladies are out on the stage, the music starts to fade under.

Smith Cartwright: Most of you sound like you'd like to see these ladies remain out here all night, and since that's not the plan, you can go to the LEGACY website for more pictures. For more details on that and other things, you'd have to go straight to the boss man himself...

The opening chords to Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" starts to play over the speakers...

Smith Cartwright: ...here he is... Rob... Belote!

The camera pans over to the entrance curtain and out from the back, wearing his three piece Armani suit, walks Rob Belote, mic in hand. He walks out onto the stage, takes a glance at all of the ladies and grins, then walks to the top of the entrance ramp and waits as his music fades down and under.

Rob Belote: I know most of you were getting used to seeing the consultants from I.B.S. come out here and let you know about new things taking place here in LEGACY, but I decided to give them the night off and I wanted to address you all, the fans of LEGACY, the people of New England, myself.

There's a decent reaction from the fans, and Rob waits as it dies out, and then he continues.

Rob Belote: When it comes to the United States, I've been just about everywhere. Born in the Nation's capital, Washington D.C., where I currently reside. I've been to the Southwest. I've been to the Greater Midwest on something of a two year tour. Despite having never worked with the company who hangs out down there and puts their shows on from that area, I've certainly traveled to the South. I've been to the Pacific Northwest, I've even been to Hawaii and Alaska. Out of everywhere I've been, it's no secret to anyone who talks to me that I consider New England the most exciting place to be. You've got the major cities known to people world-wide - New York, Boston, Philly, not to mention all of the great Canadian cities. You've got the lesser talked about towns with tons to offer - places like Providence, Portland, Bar Harbor, Hartford, Albany, and the list could go on and on and on.

Rob takes a very brief pause.

Rob Belote: The one thing that all of these cities have in common is that the people living in these places have passion for this business, the same passion I have for this business. They know what good wrestling is, they know what kind of product they should be treated to on a weekly basis, and thus far they have welcomed LEGACY with open arms in a way that places like Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, or Miami never could.

The fans start clapping as Rob pays New England a compliment.

Rob Belote: One thing I've always done to differentiate myself from my competition in business is that I like to be very honest with my customers and NEVER pretend to be something I'm not. My consulting services firm has always delivered on what it has promised - unlike most of our competitors - and in doing so, we've slowly earned a global reputation for greatness. In keeping with that philosophy, I'm out here to say that LEGACY is not some company that's going to tour all around the United States. To do so, we'd have to spend a considerable amount of money - money that we frankly don't have. Are we a global organization? Yes. Is our top championship worthy of being considered a World Title? Absolutely it is, with great competitors from all over the World on our roster and our champions being world caliber athletes. But that doesn't mean we have to TOUR the world, nor does it mean we have to tour the entire United States, so I'm announcing, right here and now, that for the foreseeable future, LEGACY will maintain a tour of cities in and around Ne England, with our upcoming pay per view event taking place on September 10th, LIVE from Boston Massachusetts, the name of which will be announced next week.

Once again "Smoke on the Water" starts to play and Rob Belote walks towards the entrance curtain, Smith Cartwright standing on the opposite side of the portal, and each of the ring announcer contestants walk in between them, and then the camera cuts backstage.

Preparations

With a microphone in hand and a cameraman following him, intern Avery makes his way through the backstage hallways, walking backwards, trying not to fall over anything.

Avery: Here we are backstage approaching the locker room of the Number One Contender to the LEGACY World Title, and I'm hoping we can get a few words with Stephen Rawlings before he steps into the ring with Greyson Blade in a match that could very well change his life.

Avery stops as he reaches the locker room and then knocks twice. There's a muffled voice coming from behind the door and as Avery opens the door we spot Stephen Rawlings doing a handstand in the middle of the room.

Avery: Mr. Rawlings we were hoping to get your thoughts on your match tonight...

Stephen gracefully arches backwards, bringing his legs down to the floor, arching back up into a back-bridge, holding it for about five seconds before slowly letting his shoulders down to the floor before sitting up and putting his legs out to either side and reaching out towards his left foot..

Stephen Rawlings: Dude... No offense, but I really don't have time for this. I need to finish stretching and I have to find Mr. Cartwright. Get ahold of me in a couple weeks and I'll gladly give you anything you want.

Avery nods and backs out of the locker room, the cameraman backing up to keep everything in the frame all the way up until the door closes and Rawlings is once again out of view.

Avery: Well there you have it, Stephen Rawlings deep in preparation mode, and win or lose, I have myself a guaranteed interview with him in the not-too-distant future, and just think... I could be interviewing the LEGACY World Champion.

Avery grins and raises his eyebrows, obviously loving the thought of what that could do for his career.

Avery: Now I know how Stephen felt when he defeated Katsuro Yoshida to win his guaranteed shot at the World Title, and I can now tell you from experience... it feels really sweet.

The feed waits a moment and then switches over to the standard view of the arena from about mid-level and super-imposed over the live shot is a graphic listing our next match of the evening.

Tao of Valor Match
{No Stipulation}
Jimmy Smith vs Nicholas Creed (c)

Mark Perletta: After winning this opportunity by defeating Aaron Beaudway on the Montreal edition of STRIFE, Jimmy Smith came into this match looking to give it his all, and this was arguably his best in-ring performance thus far in his career.

Landon Savage: The guy's a wrestler by day, an actor in adult films by night, and when he first showed up in this business, I didn't think much of the guy. Sure, he had his growing pains in this business just like everybody, but the guy's an athlete, and sure, he has "off days", but so do most wrestlers.

Joey C: The guy's probably never going to win a World Title, but from what we saw of him in this match and last week, people should consider him a viable contender for the Tao of Valor Championship and the No Limits Championship.

Mark Perletta: The opinion most people are forming about Nicholas Creed even more promising than that. People are saying that if Nicholas Creed can continue his streak and collect all of the tokens for the Tao of Valor Championship and earn himself a guaranteed shot at the World Title, that he matches up very well against all of the top competitors for the World Title at this time.

Landon Savage: Oh no kidding. Greyson Blade taking on Nicholas Creed is a match that I would certainly pay to watch, and there's a good chance that Creed would be able to stand in there with Greyson and match him power-for-power.

Joey C: And imagine if Stephen Rawlings wins tonight, Creed would certainly have the size advantage in that one, with Rawlings giving up nearly 130 pounds to Creed.

Mark Perletta: In order to get the World Title shot against whoever might have the belt at the time, Nicholas Creed would have to continue to win Tao of Valor matches, and in the early parts of this match he was having a tough time with Jimmy Smith.

Landon Savage: That speaks a lot to the fact that all of these title defenses Creed has had to endure have taken their toll on him, especially the 30 Minute Iron Man Match he was in during his last title defense.

Mark Perletta: It certainly took a lot out of him, but take nothing away from Jimmy Smith, he was working the first two-thirds of this match to perfection, keeping Creed on his toes, keeping the pace faster than Creed typically goes.

Joey C: Creed was able to use his power to get himself back into the match, though, and once he regained the advantage, it looked like trouble for Big Jimmy...

Start : Footage from the Match

Taking Jimmy by the head, Creed pulls him in as he comes up with a violent knee-lift, doubling Jimmy over. Getting behind him, Creed lifts Smith up into a belly to back and takes him down to the mat with a release suplex. Jimmy crawls over to the ropes and works his way up and Creed stalks over and then runs in and nails Big Jimmy in the back with a huge forearm shot.

Mark Perletta: Jimmy Smith sent back down onto his knees by a huge blow there from Creed. SIN unrelenting, he keeps in on the attack.

Still doubled over, Jimmy is lifted back up to his feet, only to be met by a huge knee-lift to the face from Creed. The knee-lift pops Jimmy up almost to a vertical base, but Creed takes him by the back of the head and hits another one. As he goes for a third one, however, Creed is met with a forearm shot to the ribs, and then a second one, and then a third one. Smith breaks free and then takes Creed by the arm and pulls him in and drops him with a drop toe hold. Big Jimmy gets to his feet as quickly as possible and starts stomping away at Creed's back, and once he feels like he's done enough damage, Jimmy wrenches in a Camel Clutch.

Mark Perletta: Big Jimmy with an attempt at a submission, but Creed's doing everything he can to fight it.

Landon Savage: It's only a matter of time before Creed gets out of that hold.

Joey C: It looks like Jimmy Smith came to that realization, too!

Letting Creed go, Jimmy gets up to his feet and then drops a knee into the upper back of Creed. Lifting his opponent up off the mat, Jimmy sets Creed up into a vertical headscissors, presumably to go for the Big Bomb powerbomb. Before he's ready, however, Creed shoves out of it and lifts Jimmy up off the mat, turns, and sends Jimmy back first into the turnbuckle.

Mark Perletta: Nice move there by Creed to get out of that attempt, and now things aren't looking very good for Jimmy Smith.

Landon Savage: No they're not, and now it looks like we're going to see it... one of my favorite finishers in our sport today...

As Jimmy Smith works to get to his feet, Creed comes in behind him, grabbing underneath his arms and around the back of his head, locking him into a full nelson. Picking Jimmy Smith up off the mat, Creed pulls his opponent towards the middle of the ring. Once there he picks Jimmy Smith up again, this time lifting him straight up off of his feet, then pivoting, jumping and DRILLING Big Jimmy into the mat into a urinage slam.

Landon Savage: It's the REIGN OF SIN!

Winner by PINFALL and STILL Tao of Valor Champion :
Nicholas Creed

Mark Perletta: And Nicholas Creed once again successfully defends his Tao of Valor Championship, putting him one step closer to a World Heavyweight Title shot.

Joey C: Look at all the matches this guy has won. What is it going to take to put an end to this impressive run he's been on?

Landon Savage: I'll tell you one thing, it's sure as hell not going to be a guy like Herb Moxley. That kid's crazy, talking earlier tonight about wanting to challenge Creed again for the belt. If anyone's going to take the belt from Creed, it's going to be a guy like Gryffin Anselm or Greyson Blade, maybe Marcus Marion, who knows. Point is that it's going to take someone really tough to beat Creed, someone who knows what they're doing inside that ring.

Mark Perletta: Well after the match we got an announcement from the front office regarding what will take place next week.

Ultimate Stipulation

For the second time tonight, Smith Cartwright steps out onto the entrance stage with a mic in his hand, this time with no music, and certainly no women coming out there with him. He doesn't waste any time in addressing the fans and Nicholas Creed.

Smith Cartwright: Another week, another match, another successfull title defense for you. With your win here tonight, Creed, you've earned yourself another chance to pick up a token to go along with that belt. As of now you've got two: the token you won from beating Osamu Hayashi in the Submissions Match, and the token you won from beating Jack Henderson in that 30 Minute Iron Man Match. That leaves just two left, and just a few minutes ago I was talking to Rob Belote, the rest of the front office on speaker phone, and a decision was made regarding the stipulation for next week's Tao of Valor Match.

The crowd starts to buzz and Creed looks up the isle intently, curious as to the stipulation.

Smith Cartwright: When you step into the ring next week, two ropes will be suspended from steel bars placed in each corner. Those ropes will cross above the center of the ring, and where they meet, a bag will be suspended, just high enough that neither you nor Agent Wang will be able to reach it from the mat. Inside that bag will be the Tao of Valor token... of the Ultimate X!

The crowd, whose energy and reaction had been building ever since they realized what Cartwright was talking about when he said that the ropes will cross above the center of the ring, explode into a huge cheer. A big grin on his face, having elicited a huge response from the crowd, Cartwright has conveyed all he came out to say, and with that, he retreats back into the locker room area and the video feed cuts back to the recap position.

Mark Perletta: What a huge announcement, as next week Nicholas Creed will move on to face Agent Wang in an Ultimate X Match with the Tao of Valor Championship on the line.

Joey C: Can you even imagine Creed competing in an Ultimate X Match?

Landon Savage: That's going to be crazy!

Mark Perletta: All of the Ultimate X Matches I've seen thus far have been between two individuals both of whom are smaller than Nicholas Creed, so you'd figure that this match might very well favor Agent Wang - the more agile of the two men.

Joey C: I can see where you're coming from, Marky, but there's no way I'd want to bet against Nicholas Creed, especially not for Agent Wang.

Mark Perletta: If you would've asked me right after the match between Agent Wang and Cian Randal if I thought that Agent Wang had much chance of beating Creed, I would've said "no". Now with this as the stipulation... there's certainly more doubt in my mind than there was before as to whether or not Nicholas Creed can make it through next week still the Tao of Valor Champion.

"Sibling" Rivalry

Blondes. That’s the neat trick the camera allows us to see. In fact what’s interesting about the scene is that what we see is Marcus Marion standing outside of a shower stall. His face is seen smeared with some sort of red liquid, resembling blood. That fast becoming trademark platinum blonde hair of his is stained a nauseating shade of red. His teeth, pomaded with the reddish liquid. Looking at Marion at this moment, your first instinct wants you to turn away. But that smile and those dimples invite you to stay awhile.

MARCUS MARION: Hit the shower Johnny boy.

Marion’s southern accent resonates through the airwaves. We hear a crackling noise as if the video footage was too old and wavy. Marion smiles at that comment, the camera pays attention to the very photogenic coupling of Susan and Nicole Rhodes who stand to either side of the former World Champion. Where are the Robins twins? Nowhere in sight, probably at home looking to score the next line of tickets on Marion’s next house show or PPV appearance.

MARCUS MARION: Cause blondes really DO have more fun. In about one hour it’ll all be over, because this will be you. Broken, humiliated and humbled in front of the ENTIRE world. I don’t mean to pander to style and grace, or be too symbolic, but I couldn’t let a good idea go to waste. This blood? It ain’t real. But yours will be. See, little brother, I couldn’t let you walk around LEGACY with your fly down and not warn you about all the freckle faced, happy meal eating ass-boys laughing at you behind closed doors.

Susan Rhodes clutches tightly to her boy-toy. Nicole attempts to disregard that display of affection and flickers back and forth between looking at the camera and her big cousin holding on to Marion.

MARCUS MARION: It just wouldn’t be right. Just like you switching your iPOD on to full blast while you run your ass on down to Gold’s gym. All the cardio and bench pressing in the world is not going to save you from a botched move. So go work out as MUCH as you want. Go out and get a tan if you think it’ll help… But it won’t. Nothing ever does. I’m the MAN in LEGACY. You ask around. Ask Larcen, if you can pry him away from his swear tactics for just one second. You ask Henderson, and look into Father Time’s eyes and after you’ve finished getting the inside scoop on Watergate, you ask him where I’m ranked among the all time greatest.

Marion stops for the briefest of moments collecting his thoughts. Susan kisses him softly on his shoulder blade. Marion smiles and “jerks” away a little.

MARCUS MARION: This is a war, Thomas. You started it. I’ll finish it. What we’re fighting over, it’s not for a pair of titles. Or a pair of titties.

The camera takes a step back and focuses on both Susan and Nicole Rhodes. Marion running his hands through that noted blonde hair of his. Getting a little worked up he makes his closing remarks, like so...

MARCUS MARION: It’s a war of attrition. You want to be man enough? Forget the gym. Let’s fight for these.

The camera slowly zooms down to show Susan Rhodes putting her hand over Marion’s crotch. The trio laughs with all the arrogance they can muster as the video feed closes to the blackest of blacks.

Revenge

The words "from earlier this week" appear on the screen and the footage which follows is slightly grainy and is shown in black and white. It originally appeared earlier this week in a promo by Justin Moreno.

(The camera feed initially comes in very staticy until the picture slowly comes in. From this, we can tell it's a video camera from a department store due to the quality of the picture. We see Justin Moreno with his hair in dreads and still with a neck brace on. He also has some facial hair growing on his chin and he is wearing a black Fox Racing motocross T-shirt and baggy JNCO blue jeans. In the background, we hear "This Fire Burns" by Killswitch Engage playing. Justin just stares at the camera, unable to move his neck as he begins to speak.)

Justin Moreno: Nine months ago, I fought Marcus Marion in a match that was nothing short of an all out war. I came into that match damn near crippled. I came into that match barely able to walk. But that night I gave the performance of my life because I was worried I'd never get to do this again. Despite all I threw at Marcus Marion, I still came out on the short end of the stick. What Marcus put me and my wife through is unforgivable. Simply put, Marcus Marion is a piece of shit that does not deserve to live. He left me in a neck brace. At times, the doctors weren't sure I'd ever walk again, let alone wrestle. I sat by helpless as I saw True Talent Wrestling close. I could have very easily called it a career. I could have cashed in my chips and walked away from it all. But I just can't do that. Not as long as Marcus Marion is still wrestling and breathing on this earth. Marcus, I haven't forgotten all the shit you talked about my wife, calling her a slut and a whore. Allison hasn't forgotten it either. She may have given birth to our daughter, Jaden McKenzie Moreno, but she hasn't forgotten what you put us through. She'll never forget the wedge you tried to put between us. Marcus, you may have thought you won the war, but in reality it's just getting started.

(Justin rips off the neck brace and then begins to speak intently.)

Justin Moreno: Rest assured, Marcus. I WILL get my revenge on you. I want to come to LEGACY for one reason, and that is to eliminate the cancer cell of the company that is Marcus Marion. When will I come back? I'm not about to say. But when I come, boy, you're going to wish you had NEVER messed with me, my wife, or our child. I'm going to make damn sure that I put you out of the business, even if I die trying. Each and every one of those fans out there want me to beat the ever-loving shit out of you and I'm going to let them down. I still have the competitive fire burning inside of me and I will not extinguish that fire until you are utterly decimated. Soon, Marcus... your day will come. So spend the rest of the free time you have fucking every high school girl you can find because once I'm done with you, you'll NEVER be able to rest because I won't rest until I eliminate you from the business. So John Thomas, do me a favor and after you kick Marion's ass, save the rest for me because I want to finish the job. It's time to get extreme, Marcus. Are you ready? I don't think you are.

Justin then gets up and walks off as the camera feed cuts to static, and then we switch back to the recap position.

Mark Perletta: Strong words there by Justin Moreno, and it seems like John Thomas isn't the only one who wants to get his hands on the former World Champion.

Joey C: Yeah, well I know the whole scoop, and Justin Moreno isn't ready quite yet to get back into the ring, so he'd be better off not stirring things up until he's physically ready to act on his intentions.

Mark Perletta: That may very well be, but I have a feeling that sometime in the next year or so, those two are going to end up inside the ring with one another.

over to the standard shot of the ring from mid-level in the arena, with graphics indicating what our next match is.

Number One Contender's Match
World Tag Team Titles
Gryffin Anselm & James Win vs Old School Kings

Mark Perletta: With all four of these men veterans of this sport, you knew this was going to be a classic match in the making.

Landon Savage: And not only are all four of these guys veterans, but each of these two teams are pairs of guys who have known their tag team partner for years, and this isn't the first time that either of these two teams has been put together, either.

Joey C: When you talk about the great tag teams of all time in this business, usually three teams' names come up: The Beautiful People - now split up with the retirement of Christopher Davis. Stellar Insanity - now split up because of a dissolving of friendships between Rocky Stellar and Loco Martinez...

Mark Perletta: Wait, what?

Joey C: I'll fill you in on the details later.

Landon Savage: And the third team is Insant Heat. Those are the three premeire tag teams in our sport of the past five years, and I'll accept that, but these two teams going at it in this match, they've got what it takes to be in that discussion, too. All they need is to start getting some widespread exposure over the next couple of years, and it'll happen.

Joey C: Before Paul Jarvis decided to no longer team with Gryffin Anselm, I fully believe those two men were on their way to becoming part of that conversation.

Landon Savage: Yeah, and now with James Win replacing Jarvis, I think Gryffin stands an even better chance of getting that notariety.

Mark Perletta: Eric Wolfson no stranger to strong tag team pairings in his own right, the Old School Kings have the opportunity, if they stick together, to be yet another team in that "best of all time" discussion, and this match is going to certainly be a reference point for either or both of these teams. Things starting off medium paced with Wolfson and Gryffin in the ring.

Landon Savage: Eric Wolfson getting the early advantage, Anselm got a good reversal in there and got things back onto a level playing field, and then Wolfson tagged in Dominion.

Joey C: And after the things Dominion had to say to Anselm back in Montreal, you can bet that Gryffin was happy to have Jake in the ring with him, and it didn't disappoint.

Mark Perletta: The two competitors went back and forth, trading punches and kicks, Gryffin getting in a throwing slam that put Dominion into the far side of the ring, allowing Anselm to tag in Win, who came in and started some double-team work alongside Gryffin until Eric Wolfson and the referee broke it up.

Joey C: James Win went to work on Dominion, but he certainly didn't dominate, with Jake getting his team right back into the match as he started to wear down Win, which they continued as they did some quick tags in and out of the match.

Landon Savage: After James Win was able to escape a suplex attempt and hit an enzuigiri, the All Star was able to make the hot tag into Gryffin Anselm, who came into the match and cleared house.

Mark Perletta: Eric Wolfson then got the tag back into the match and he and Gryffin went at it again, and as Anselm thought he had control over the match, he tagged Win back in, but when James went to continue in on the attack on Wolfson, he didn't get more than two moves in before Wolfson made his comeback.

Start : Footage from the Match

James Win goes for a kick but Wolfson blocks it and traps Win's leg. Pulling him in, Wolfson takes James Win down with a head and leg capture suplex. Both men look to get back to their feet, but Wolfson dives in and takes James Win down with a chopblock, sending him down to the mat. Wolfson hops up as quickly as possibly and starts laying into Win's ribs with a repeated series of kicks and stomps, Win trying desperately to cover up. Grabbing James by the head, Wolfson starts to lift Win up to his feet when suddenly he's clotheslined down to the mat from behind.

Landon Savage: Gryffin Anselm with the well-timed save!

Joey C: And that's the kind of teamwork it takes to make tag team greatness!

Mark Perletta: What, the willingness to cheat?

Landon Savage: Now you're learning!

The All Star slowly gets to his feet, those shots to the ribs having taken their toll. Taking Eric Wolfson by the head, James Win lifts him to his feet and turns him around and then pulls backwards, setting Wolfson into a reverse ddt position. With everything he's got, James Win hoists Eric Wolfson up off the mat, spins slightly and drops Eric down onto his stomach with a reverse suplex type maneuver. From there, James Win exits out onto the apron and gets up onto the top turnbuckle, where he waits as Eric Wolfson struggles to get to his feet.

On the other side of the ring Jake Dominion hops down off of the turnbuckle and runs around part of the ring, hopping up onto the apron and pulling down on the top rope, causing James Win to lose his balance. As Gryffin goes to get Dominion, Jake hops down and runs back over to his corner. Eric Wolfson gets to his feet and notices Win on the top rope, so he goes over and grabs Win by the head, hooks one of his legs and then lifts Win up off of the top rope, high into the air. Wolfson backs up a few steps, getting much closer to his corner than where he was before and he PLANTS Win head first into the mat with a brainbuster. Wolfson gets up off the mat and makes the tag to Jake Dominion who wastes no time in hopping right up to the top rope and FLYING off, getting some great elevation and completing the frogsplash.

Mark Perletta: That's the RULE OF DOMINION and this should be it!

ONE!

TWO!!

THREE!!!

Winners by PINFALL and the NEW Number One Contenders to the Tag Titles :
Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion - the Old School Kings

Mark Perletta: Another big win for the Old School Kings, and that officially makes them Number One Contenders to the World Tag Team Championships.

Joey C: And it's only a matter of time before they get a match with the Nerds and bring home the belts.

Landon Savage: My bet: look for that to happen at the pay per view.

Mark Perletta: The Nerds have been on quite a roll here in LEGACY, so don't just go counting on a title change just yet, fellas.

"What are you waiting for?"

We see Tim Jones standing around in a hallway looking at the entrance to the arena from the outside. He seems to be waiting intently for something, and this man walks up behind Tim Jones...

Aaron Beaudway: So, "The Ladies Man", we finally meet face to face.

Jones turns around, and when he sees a man standing there wearing khaki pants and a Hawaiian shirt, he looks confused, very confused.

Tim Jones: "And who in the hell are you, junior? And where is my pizza? Some hell of a delivery boy, forgets the pizza… did you at least remember the beer?"

Aaron Beaudway: Oh I'm no delivery boy. The name's Beaudway, Aaron Beaudway. The one, the only… "The Only Way", if you will.

Beaudway gets a stupid grin on his face as he crosses his arms over his chest.

Tim Jones: "The only way to what? Piss off a man who is hunrgy and wants his pizza? Are you someone I should care about, if not, get away from me, so the pizza boy can find me, its been like an hour."

Jones looks extremely annoyed.

Aaron Beaudway: Sounds like you've got problems that go way beyond an errant pizza boy. And if I wanted to piss you off I would've just reminded you about how you lost against Gryffin Anselm last week and failed to get the No Limits Title, because that seems like a bit of a sore subject. Tell me, why is it that some dude in a mask attacks you one week, and the next week all you can do is think of beer and pizza?

Jones looks down at his watch and then back up at Beaudway.

Tim Jones: "Look Aaron, Beaudway, Budway, Subway, whatever your name is, you don't want to really make me angry. If you really think its a sore subject, why bring it up? You seen what I did in that ring to Gryffin. Do you think making a hungry man, who probally is in need of a high but trying to not go fall down that road angry? If you want to, I’m going to have to ask you to leave, before I take all my hungry frustrations out on the pizza man, if he ever fucking gets here...damn it."

Tim starts walking down the hallway, looking all around, hoping to spot the delivery guy. Beaudway follows him.

Aaron Beaudway: Well you're obviously still upset about it, so what are you going to do about it - whine? Complain? Or are you going to stand up for yourself like a man and get the front office to book you in a match next week against the dude in that mask?

Tim Jones stops in his tracks and looks right at Beaudway, and slowly a smile forms on his face.

Tim Jones: "You know your right Aaron, you full of great ideas, I will go do that, and if the pizza guy comes down here, go ahead and have yourself a slice and a beer, you look like you work hard around here, whatever ya do...

Tim Jones walks off and Beaudway watches him go, a huge grin plastered on his face. The shot then switches over to the standard shot of the ring.

John Thomas vs Marcus Marion

Mark Perletta: For the second time since Rise of the Elite, John Thomas and Marcus Marion got into the ring together, and dare I say it, this time it's more personal.

Joey C: I'll say it's more personal this time, you saw what John Thomas did to Marcus Marion back on July 13th.

Mark Perletta: Wait, what John Thomas did to Marcus Marion?

Joey C: Oh sure, the popular thing to reference is when Marcus got a little crazy on John back in June, but that was a match, Marky, between John Thomas and Marcus Marion. What John Thomas did to Marcus Marion on the fifth edition of STRIFE, that was supposed to be a match between Loco Martinez and Marcus Marion.

Landon Savage: A match we never got an actual winner during, thanks to John Thomas.

Mark Perletta: I think it's safe to say that both John Thomas and Marcus Marion have reasons coming into this match to want to get their hands on one another, and they did just that.

Joey C: Yeah and that hot-headed kid John Thomas couldn't wait for the bell to ring, and he attacked Marion as soon as he got into the ring.

Landon Savage: It seemed to be a decent strategy, too, because Marcus wasn't prepared for John to react that way right from the start, and that allowed JT to get the early advantage.

Mark Perletta: For the next few minutes, we saw John taking it to Marcus Marion.

Joey C: And he was taking an approach that we aren't used to seeing from John Thomas, too. Not only was he laying into Marcus with punches, but he was also choking him out.

Landon Savage: That he was, and in the first few minutes alone the referee threatened to disqualify John Thomas.

Mark Perletta: The second time it happened it bought Marcus Marion an opportunity to escape out of the ring, and despite the fact that John Thomas was quick to follow, that bought Marion an opportunity to get back into the match. After trading some punches outside the ring, Marion got away from John after a thumb to the eye, and moving around the ring, Marion slid into the ring underneath the bottom rope.

Joey C: And John was quick to follow, but not before grabbing an empty chair from the time keeper's table and tossing it into the ring.

Landon Savage: A lot of good it did him, too, because the referee intercepted the chair and moved it over to the far corner, and when John went to re-enter the ring, Marion went right after him, not distracted at all by the chair thrown into the ring.

Joey C: And once again Marcus Marion proves to be the ring general he is, and he picks up the advantage, laying into young Thomas with a series of stomps and kicks.

Mark Perletta: Marion might've held control over the match for a few minutes, but John Thomas kept working to try to fight back, actually getting control after he reverses an irish whip, sending Marcus Marion right into the referee.

Landon Savage: I don't know whether he meant to knock over the referee or not, but he took advantage of it, right away hitting a low blow to slow Marcus down and then dropping him to the mat and choking the life out of him.

Mark Perletta: And then we saw more vintage John Thomas, working over Marcus Marion's shoulder.

Joey C: Don't talk like Marcus Marion was out of the match, because he was anything BUT defeated, getting himself back into the match with a knee to the groin and then throwing him out of the ring.

Start : Footage from the Match

With John Thomas on the outside of the ring trying to work his way to his feet, Marcus Marion walked around the inside of the ring, taunting the fans at ringside. When the referee gets back to his feet, he notices John Thomas on the outside and starts to administer his count.

Mark Perletta: John Thomas back on his feet on the outside, but he doesn't look like he's in any condition to just jump right back into this match with Marcus Marion, not until he catches his breath anyway.

Joey C: Sure, John Thomas might've hit Marcus Marion with a low blow, but I guarantee you that Marion hit his low blow a lot harder when he nailed him with that knee to the groin.

Landon Savage: And Marcus Marion knows that John Thomas isn't ready to get back into the ring, so he's letting him wander around on the outside, giving John the choice of whether to get himself counted out or not.

Mark Perletta: Well with everything that John Thomas and Marcus Marion have been through the past month and a half, it was pretty obvious to me and the rest of the fans around the world that John Thomas would get back into the ring.

Joey C: That he did, but only after walking around a little bit longer on the outside, but then he picked his spot and made his return...

Walking halfway around the ring, John Thomas quickly slid into the ring and sat up as quickly as possible. Marcus Marion started walking in his direction, but backed up a few steps when John Thomas grabbed the steel chair he had thrown into the ring earlier in the match. With John back on his feet, Marcus Marion circled around the inside of the ring, keeping away from Thomas.

Mark Perletta: John Thomas with that chair in his hand and obviously Marcus Marion doesn't want any part of that steel chair.

Joey C: And neither should he, that steel chair giving John Thomas an unfair advantage - the only way John Thomas can get the advantage over a competitor like Marcus Marion, and the best thing Marcus Marion could do would be to get the heck out of the ring.

Landon Savage: And that's exactly what he is trying to do...

As Marcus Marion heads over to the ropes and ducks underneath the top rope, John Thomas pushes the referee out of the way and grabs Marion by the arm with one hand and pulls him back into the ring, and from there John Thomas irish whips Marion across the ring into the ropes. John bounces off the near ropes and he and Marcus are headed full steam for one another, and John Thomas takes the chair in both hands... leaps... and NAILS Marcus Marion in the head with the steel chair, and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner by DISQUALIFICATION : Marcus Marion

Mark Perletta: John Thomas using that steel chair on Marcus Marion in plain view of the referee, and it looks like he isn't even phased by the disqualification.

Joey C: And it also doesn't look like he's finished using that chair.

Almost as if he completely forgets the fact that he just lost a match, John Thomas gets up to his feet and stands over Marcus Marion and slams the top of it right down into Marion's shoulder. And again. And again. Putting the chair in the corner, John returns to where Marion is laying and stomps down onto his shoulder a few times before picking him up to his feet. Pulling him over to the corner near where the chair is, John takes Marion by the arm, wraps it around the top rope, and then SMASHES the chair down across Marion's back, right into the shoulder he has been targetting all match long.

Mark Perletta: The referee steps in and takes the chair from John Thomas, but the damage has already been done, and John didn't put up a fight when the referee took that chair from him, almost as if he was finished with his attack, having accomplished whatever he had set out to do.

Joey C: Usually when someone makes an attack like what we just saw from Thomas, they have to be pried off of their opponent, but John walked away willingly.

Landon Savage: Walking right by the EMTs on his way back up the ramp who were coming out with a shoulder sling for your former World Champion.

Enlisting Last Minute Help

Decked out in his ring gear, Stephen Rawlings moves frantically through the back hallways, looking around at every group of people he passes, not satisfied with the identities of any of the individuals. He’s obviously looking for someone, and as he approaches one of the catering tables, he finds someone who isn’t exactly who he’s looking for, but he decides to approach him anyway.

Rawlings: Hey dude... Got a sec?

Gryffin Anselm turns around and looks at Rawlings in slight disbelief, letting out a chuckle.

Gryffin: Dude? What, did you forget my name or did you think that for some reason we’re friends now or something?

Rawlings cocks his head in confusion.

Rawlings: No... I just.... Listen... I need a favor!

Gryffin looks almost amused.

Gryffin: A favor? From me…? You’re serious…

Rawlings: Umm... There's no one else... So yeah you!

Anselm rolls his eyes.

Gryffin: Way to make a guy feel special. So what exactly are you hoping I’ll do for you?

Stephen Rawlings: Well you're tight with Blade right?

Anselm’s face gets a bit more serious and he nods his head.

Gryffin: Yeah, some days, I guess.

Rawlings: Well then you know that Greyson is getting tired of run-ins... And I hate run ins, and I know somewhere in Greyson's cold face there's a deep secret respect for me so he'd want this match to go smoothly just as much as I do... Therefore... I’m not asking much... Just to watch our back... Make sure no one gets to the ring. Stein said he'd stay out... But I don't trust him for a second!

Gryffin: Gee, and why wouldn’t you? I saw that footage earlier tonight and when he said he wasn’t going to, he sounded so sincere…

Rawlings: Well will ya? I could use this man!

Gryffin stands there for a moment, making Rawlings wait for his answer, and then he nods.

Gryffin: Tell you what, I’ll be back here for a bit, and if I see Stein up to something, I’ll put him through a table or something, how about that?

Seeing that he’s successfully made his argument, Rawlings starts backing up, making his way towards the gorilla position, wanting to make one last comment to Anselm before he goes.

Rawlings: I don't care what you do... Just keep him out of my way of winning your friends title!

The camera remains next to Anselm and Rawlings turns and walks off. In a regular tone, certainly not loud enough for Rawlings to hear him, Gryffin makes one last comment.

Gryffin: What a gullible guy that Stephen Rawlings guy is. If Stein shows up and gets involved, that’s their business, not mine. Hell, there’s two of them, they ought to be able to handle a Sky High Cup guy.

Gryffin smirks as he opens his water bottle, takes a sip and then heads off down the hallway in the opposite direction, obviously not standing around waiting to see if Stein is going to do anything. The scene switches over to a different camera which follows Rawlings as he continues on towards the gorilla position, ready to go out to the ring for the main event, he passes by John Thomas. Realizing he’s got an opportunity to increase his odds, he turns around and catches up with Thomas, who was walking in the opposite direction.

Rawlings: Yo, dude.... I know we're not tight or anything, but if you wouldn't mind sticking around for a bit and doing me a favor I'd apprecate it... You see I really don't want anyone to interfere in my match tonight, Stein, Marion, God.... Whoever... And knowing how you hate it when people interfere on World Title Matches, like back when people clustered up your title shot against Devastation last year, I figured you’d understand the cause. So if you could watch my back tonight, I'd appreciate man. Now I gotta go...

Not waiting for a response from John, Rawlings turns around and jogs back to the gorilla position, where Herb Moxley and DJ Cassidy are waiting for him with a smile on their faces.

S.O.L.

The words "from earlier this week" appear on the screen and the footage which follows is slightly grainy and is shown in black and white. It originally appeared earlier this week in a promo by Greyson Blade.

Greyson leans back in the both in a comfy position and leans up against the wall, relaxing.

“But … but … just for the sake of argument Stephen, we’ll ignore that little fact about my REGULAR matches crashing and burning like Jersey Girl. Let’s say that losses matter – hell you already wrote off Gryffin Anselm because you beat him for the Midwest Title back in good ol’ TTW, so let’s just go with it. Seems to me that you have a bit of a problem because back in TTW I took you on in a REGULAR match, and I ALREADY KICKED YOUR ASS AND PUT YOU DOWN FOR THE 1 … 2 … 3! So, you should already know better than anybody what I can do in that ring, and that the end of the day, I’m more than good enough to beat you. In fact, at the end of the day when you look at it all … all of the World Championships … the double singles titles … being LEGACY Champion now? I’m the PERFECT man for the job of showing the world just how lacking you really, truly are.”

The Outlaw finishes his cheeseburger and wraps up the packaging and tosses it. He then takes a final sip before it’s obvious he’s done eating for now and the rest of this would be going on the road with him in that truck, along with that LEGACY Championship belt.

“So go ahead and keep on training Rawlings. Go ahead and take your little week off to go run some hills and take a few hip tosses from a fucking amateur. Work your ass off and try to convince yourself that it’s going to be enough, because we both know it isn’t. If you think that a week of turning it on is going to get you to the Championship … if you think that resting up for a week to take me on now is your genius trump card then you are dead wrong. It takes more than a week and a prayer Rawlings and since you cling to the idea of luck I’ll put this in terms you can understand. When you step into the ring with Greyson Blade … The Outlaw … The LEGACY Champion … you are going to get battered, you are going to be broken and left on the canvas wondering why you couldn’t get the job done. Then its going to hit you … after you signed on the dotted line you instantly became shit out of luck …

The Outlaw stands up in his seat and then grabs his tray before turning back around once more.

“S.O.L – Think about it.”

Backstage

The camera cuts backstage where we find intern Avery once again walking around with a microphone in hand, the cameraman following him around.

Avery: Folks, since we weren't able to get an interview with Stephen Rawlings earlier in the evening, we decided that it would be informative to pay Dan Stein a visit to get his thoughts on Stephen Rawlings' title shot tonight.

Walking backwards, Avery checks the names on the locker room doors as he passes them, and suddenly he finds himself in the spot he was moving towards.

Avery: Now earlier tonight Stephen Rawlings approached Dan Stein and asked him to stay clear of this match tonight and not interfere with his title shot, and much to a lot of people's surprise, Dan Stein stated that he would grant Rawlings' request. Several people have questioned the sincerity of what Stein said, so I'd like to ask him again.

Avery knocks on the door, but to no response. He knocks again and again there's no response. Avery pushes on the door slightly and notices that it is ajar, so he opens the door and when the cameraman peers in, we find... an empty locker room. No bags, no trash, no sign of Dan Stein at all, aside from the name on the door. Dumbfounded, Avery steps back out into the hallway and flags down one of the road agents walking by.

Avery: Mr. Washington, can I ask you a question?

Trevor Washington: Sure, Avery, what's up?

Avery: This was supposed to be Dan Stein's locker room tonight, but no one's in there and there's no stuff either.

Trevor Washington: Dan left already, said something about having a headache or something, wanted us to make him a DVD of tonight's event so he could study the match between Stephen Rawlings and Greyson Blade in case he gets another shot at one of them.

Avery looks incredulous.

Avery: So he's no longer in the building?

Trevor Washington: I saw him drive off with my own two eyes.

Avery looks completely in shock, but Trevor Washington has no reason to lie about something like this.

Avery: Well then, I guess there we have it, Dan Stein is no longer in the building, so it looks like Stephen Rawlings gets his wish.

The camera then cuts back to the standard shot of the ring, and superimposed over the footage is text listing our sixth and final match of the evening.

World Title Match
Stephen Rawlings vs Greyson Blade (c)

Mark Perletta: Yes fans we’ve come to tonight’s main event, and by our internet fan poll the most highly anticipated match of the night.

Joey C: Anticipated because LEGACY fans around the world were just waiting for a new champion to be crowned. There is some obvious sentiment from the internet fans this last week that this new, technical wrestler would be welcomed as the face of the company.

Landon Savage: Hold on there Joey C, and let me tell you I’m definitely not one to give compliments, especially to a guy like Greyson Blade, but the fans at the event were definitely in The Outlaw’s corner as they have been since his match with Devastation back in TTW. Maybe the net crowd wants Rawlings, but the majority of people paying for tickets and buying the merchandise love the man.

Mark Perletta: They certainly were, and while Stephen Rawlings came out to a favorable reaction from the fans, especially with Herb Moxley and D.J. Cassidy walking out onto the stage with him, but when the LEGACY World Champion appeared before the Portland crowd the reaction was phenomenal, and I can definitely see LEGACY coming back here at a future date because of reactions just like that.

Joey C: They may not have made him the favorite, but that reaction for the LEGACY World Champion seemingly did nothing to phase Stephen Rawlings who has been supremely confident ever since winning the number one contendership.

Landon Savage: And just why shouldn’t he be confident? He is the new face of technical wrestling, not just here in LEGACY but across the web.

Mark Perletta: Well, unlike Dan Stein, Rawlings allowed The Outlaw to actually get inside the ring, and waited for the bell to attack, however, the beginning to this match was not what Rawlings hoped it would be.

Joey C: No it wasn’t Mark, because in the early going Greyson Blade dominated with his power advantage, taking Rawlings from pillar to post.

Landon Savage: I guess it’s time for some Greyson Blade highlights … roll it monkeys!

Match Footage

Mark Perletta: Stephen Rawlings started this match up by ducking a punch and then firing off with a series of chops. He took Greyson into a headlock, but The Outlaw pushed him off like nothing and now Rawlings is on the canvas courtesy of a thunderous clothesline.

Joey C: Power … power … and more power. I thought we might see Blade shake it up tonight to throw Rawlings a curveball.

Landon Savage: For better or for worse this style won him the belt, and there’s comfort in sticking to the game plan. For his second title defense in as many weeks, I can’t see now being the time that he tries to show up and “Outwrestle” a technical master.

The Outlaw pulls Rawlings to his feet only to knee him roughly in the gut and stand him up once more with a strong uppercut. Greyson steps in and scoops Rawlings over his shoulder and takes a few steps to get a running start and drives Rawlings into the canvas with a massive powerslam.

Mark Perletta: That powerslam is quickly becoming a trademark move for The Outlaw, and I can’t blame him as that was a finishing maneuver of many successful starts including wrestling legend Davey Boy Smith.

Joey C: Well, it’s going to take more than that to take down Stephen Rawlings in what is arguably the biggest match of his career.

Landon Savage: It’s definitely the biggest match of his career because this one is for the LEGACY Championship.

Mark Perletta: Well after that big powerslam, The Outlaw came off the ropes with a big elbow drop on Rawlings and now he pulls Rawlings into a standing front facelock, and he starts to knee Rawlings in the rib area, a move that was used against The Outlaw by Eric Flaherty at OPW 100 just this past week, and that’s the mark of a champion, in learning something from each match.

Joey C: Its not stylish but damn effective as The Outlaw looks to soften up those ribs for that devastating Killshot.

Landon Savage: Come on … it’s just a spear!

Mark Perletta and Joey C both look over to Landon as they both shake their heads.

Mark Peletta: Let’s see you get hit with it Landon.

The Outlaw continues the assault on the challenger, scooping him up and driving the knee into his ribs not once, not twice, but three times. Rawlings clutches at his injured back and ribs as Blade rips him up and sends him to the ropes with an Irish whip. Rawlings comes off ducking a clothesline and comes on the rebound, but Greyson side steps and delivers an unexpected tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Greyson then looks as the fallen, unmoving Rawlings and eyes up the top rope.

Joey C: The Outlaw is eyeing up that top turnbuckle, and he has come off there before.

Landon Savage: Men his size weren’t made to fly Joey.

Mark Perletta: Well he’s going to try and now he’s at the top and the fans are raising up for this maneuver! The Outlaw takes flight and … NOBODY HOME!

Joey C: Rawlings just got out the way before that nearly 300 pound man drove an elbow into his sternum!

Landon Savage: Now, it’s Rawlings’ time to shine kiddies.

Back to the Studio

Mark Perletta: And shine he did, taking advantage of The Outlaw’s overzealousness, Stephen Rawlings went to work on The Outlaw, targeting the arm and shoulder area.

Joey C: It was beautiful strategy Mark, attack that area and you can neutralize the power and serve to take some “string” out of The Killshot.

Landon Savage: Well, Rawlings did look damn good Joey … let’s see some footage that’s Technically Perfect.

Match Footage

When the footage starts we see Stephen Rawlings coming off the ropes and dropkicking The Outlaw in the face as he tries to get to his feet. The shot to the face sends Greyson towards the ropes, and he again tries to stand using the turnbuckles, but Rawlings is there to meet him. Stephen fires off a quick kick to the gut, and then rolls Blade up with a small package!

Mark Perletta: Roll up by Rawlings for the …

One!

Two!

Thr-No! The Outlaw kicks out just in the nick of time to save his championship reign.

Joey C: Rawlings needs to stay on Greyson here. He has Blade on the run, and if he can keep him off balance he could still catch him off guard.

Landon Savage: Rawlings has looked great since taking over control of this match, especially with that textbook rolling neck whip showing shades of the late great Curt Hennig.

Rawlings retains control after the unsuccessful pin attempt, and he again goes to the breadbasket, doubling Greyson over, and he comes off the ropes and leaps, driving Blade to the canvas with a “Fameasser”. Rawlings then comes off the ropes and hits the senton splash. Rawlings then waits for Greyson to stand up and he leaps and flips through taking Greyson over with the hurricanrana near the ropes but he hooks the leg.

Mark Perletta: Rawlings with another pin attempt! He has The Outlaw hooked and …

Thre-NO! The Outlaw still kicks out!

Landon Savage: Well this Pro-Blade crowd is definitely happy with the kickout, but things still don’t look good for Greyson, as Rawlings is off the ropes once more with a rolling wheel kick.

Stephen’s tenacity is definitely showing through as Rawlings quickly grabs Blade and spikes him to the mat with a single arm DDT. After the impact, Rawlings presses The Outlaw’s legs back and rolls him up! Quickly as the referee drops he lifts his feet and presses off the top rope!

Mark Perletta: Rawlings with ANOTHER pin attempt and he has his feet on the ropes! That’s ill-

One.

Joey C: It’s only illegal if you get caught!

Mark Perletta: Two.

Thre-NO! Some how, some way The Outlaw kicked out again!

Landon Savage: Rawlings did what he had to do gentlemen after two unsuccessful pin attempts -he’s turning it up a notch. Unfortunately the sheep in this crowd just don’t see it and they are stupidly booing Rawlings’ tactics.

The challenger now takes The Outlaw and drives the elbow into the shoulder, once, twice. He then stomps the shoulder and drops down slapping on a crucifix armbar. Rawlings wrenches down on the hold instructing the referee to ask Greyson for his submission. The Outlaw, however, will not yield to the pain as he begins to push with his feet on the canvas, moving both men towards the ropes. The crowd begins to rally behind the LEGACY Champion, but damage is still being done to that arm.

Mark Perletta: The Outlaw is fighting to get to the ropes as each second in this submission hold is doing some serious damage.

Joey C: Technically perfect Mark, and just how big would it be not to just become the LEGACY Champion but to make The Outlaw tap out?

Landon Savage: It would be damn near historic Joey … and I for one wouldn’t mind seeing some history being made here in Portland, Maine.

Mark Perletta: Blade is fighting to get to those ropes now, and he does to the delight of this crowd! Rawlings though isn’t breaking the hold! The referee counting now!

One

Two

Three

Four

Fi-He breaks it!

Landon Savage: Tenacity Mark as Rawlings just made the most of the hold!

Mark Perletta: Rawlings now pulling Greyson to his feet and … he’s going for a Reverse STO! Blade halts him once … twice … the hook with the good arm and … The Outlaw plants him to the canvas!

The Outlaw connected with his version of a Rock Bottom and he rolls over and hooks the leg.

Mark Perletta: The cover!

One.

Two.

Thre-! And Rawlings just gets the shoulder up!

Back to the Studio

Mark Perletta: Rawlings did indeed continue to battle as this contest went back and forth continuing with multiple pinfall attempts. The Outlaw continued to soften up Rawlings’ ribs and back while Rawlings targeted the arm and shoulders of the Champion.

Joey C: As this one continued two things really struck me – Rawlings doesn’t lose his focus on the big stage and is a real player in the spotlight, and The Outlaw … really could hold his own with a technical marvel. This was a great match that highlighted exactly what both of these men could do.

Landon Savage: Well, before you gentlemen get all emotionally attached to this match … let’s take you to the waning moments of this contest. Roll it!

Start : Footage from the Match

As the match footage rolls we see Stephen Rawlings hooking Greyson Blade by the neck, and then flipping back, actually completing a difficult looking Russian leg sweep. Rawlings is up quickly and assists Blade to his feet. He goes for the Irish whip, but Blade reverses and catches Rawlings with a massive spinebuster! Blade then sends Rawlings to the ropes and attempts to catch him and toss him up into the Outlaw Drop. Rawlings reverses!

Mark Perletta: This one has truly gone back and forth and there’s the reversal of the Outlaw Drop and there’s a bulldog from Rawlings! He just planted the Outlaw, and now Rawlings begins climbing the ladder. Rawlings to the top rope, waiting for the Outlaw to stand.

Joey C: He could be taking too much time letting that huge man get back to his feet.

Landon Savage: Nonsense, he’s timing this for a shot to that shoulder.

Mark Perletta: Blade now to his feet and Rawlings leaps … and The Outlaw catches him by the throat for a HUGE chokeslam! Rawlings hitting the mat here and sliding on impact! The Outlaw stalking Rawlings here, and he moves in on the challenger rubbing some feeling back into that arm. Now he has Rawlings into a standing headscissors … Rawlings up and …

Joey C: Rawlings reverses into a falling facebuster, X-Factor style! He just hit one hell of an impact move! Blade is trying to get up, and Rawlings charges and meets a back elbow. The Outlaw with the Irish whip to the corner, and here comes on the charge!

Landon Savage: Blade misses the clothesline hitting the buckles, and comes up short, just like he is destined to do in this match. Rawlings charges, here and there’s a high knee!

Stephen Rawlings, having Greyson stunned steps back and delivers a superkick to Blade’s skull, causing him to go limp across the ropes. The challenger then pulls Blade to the corner, and with some great, great effort at his size he begins to push Blade up the turnbuckles until he is seated on top of them.

Mark Perletta: This doesn’t look good for the LEGACY Champion! Rawlings is climbing the buckles and looking for a top rope hurricanrana! Rawlings flips up and … Blade catches him!

Joey C: Incoming!

Landon Savage: No!

The Outlaw takes control of Rawlings and leaps … powerbombing Rawlings off the top rope, leaving both men lying on the canvas.

Mark Perletta: Both men are down now as this crowd is going nuts! The official is beginning the ten count!

Joey C: This isn’t how either man wants this one to end, and we all know it, but after the last few moves neither man may have anything left.

The count continues on and at seven, The Outlaw stirs, and begins getting up. Rawlings does the same at eight. Rawlings crawls towards the corner, and The Outlaw settles himself in the opposite one. The Outlaw lowers down as the fans rise up, knowing what’s coming. The LEGACY Champion charges him in the corner! Just a half second slower after that top rope plunge … Rawlings hits the deck and The Outlaw misses, and there is a horrible sound.

Craaaaaaack!

The sound of The Outlaw’s skull meeting steel chair.

Mark Perletta: IT’S DAN STEIN! DAN STEIN CAME IN THROUGH THE CROWD AND HAS HIT GREYSON WITH A STEEL CHAIR!

Joey C: Rawlings hears the noise and turns around… Stein tosses the chair! Rawlings catches it...

Mark Perletta: STEIN KICKS THE CHAIR INTO RAWLINGS SKULL!

Landon Savage: Dan Stein has taken out both men, leaving the Champion and Challenger in a heap!

No Decision

Mark Perletta: The referee has called for the bell, making this match a "No Decision", and it looks like Dan Stein isn't done just yet, nailing Greyson Blade with another chairshot and moving him into the corner.

Joey C: Stein sets up a chair over Greyson Blade's face and moves over to one of the adjacent corners, and it looks like he might be going for a VanTerminator...

Mark Perletta: Not if the Nerds have anything to say about it! Herb Moxley and D.J. Cassidy running down the isle and diving into the ring, causing Dan Stein to hop down off of the apron and exit through the crowd. Folks, we're out of time but something tells me that things between Greyson Blade and Dan Stein aren't as "over" as Stein wanted us to believe earlier tonight. See you next week as STRIFE hits Concord, New Hampshire! Goodnight!
