The LEGACY Tour logo shows up on a black screen and it fades out as "Awake" by Godsmack starts to play, and clips from Rise of the Elite 3 start to roll across the screen. The first clips up are those from the Sky High Cup Match. The first two falls are shown, and then several moments from the Sky High Cup finals are shown, including Cade Sydal being handed the Sky High Cup. Highlights of the match between John Page and Tim Jones follow, and then next are clips from the tag match involving Loco Martinez and John Thomas taking on Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion. Several still, stylish, black and white images with voice-over from the Creed, Voodoo, Cronos Diamante Falls Count Anywhere Match are shown. The three championship matches follow, starting with footage from the National Title Match between Chivalric and Gryffin Anselm. The clips which follow are from the World Tag Team Title Match, and there are more clips from this match than from any of the matches before it. That pales in comparison to the number of clips from the main event, which has almost twice as many clips and still shots with fan reactions to spots dubbed in over them. The final clip is of Greyson Blade hoisting the World Heavyweight Title, an image that lasts twice as long as any of the other individual clips. TONIGHT'S LINEUP
The show opens on a shot of Mark Perletta and Joey C sitting behind a desk that resembles what you would see anchors sit behind in the studio of a sports news program such as Sports Center. Behind them is an elaborate backdrop which includes the LEGACY Tour logo, and neither one of them looks very happy. In fact, both of them looked a bit worried. Mark Perletta: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another LEGACY Tour event, I'm your host, Mark Perletta, and joining me for tonight's recap, as always, Joey C... Joey C: But things AREN'T normal tonight, are they, Marky? They're not the same as every other week, are they? Things are changing around here. Mark Perletta: You're absolutely right, Joey, things aren't the same this week. For those of you who didn't notice, I didn't get to welcome you all to tonight's SHOCKWAVE, because to be quite honest, this ISN'T Shockwave, not anymore. Joey C: Let's not beat around the bush, let's just tell them like it is. When we got here tonight, when we showed up for what we THOUGHT was going to be Shockwave, we were given a huge surprise... and not a good one. Mark Perletta: Apparently in an attempt to increase ratings and buy-rates and merchandising, right after Rise of the Elite 3, the front office decided to hire an "Image and Branding Consultants", giving them the authority to change some things up. In the past 10 or so days, the consultants made some suggestions on how to help give the LEGACY Tour some extra "brand identity", and the first of those changes was to drop the name "Shockwave". Joey C: To be honest, I don't even know what to call the show now. It's been Shockwave for so long... but that's not my only concern. Mark Perletta: Well as for this week, the "consultants" just told us to call it a "Tour Stop", so that's what we're calling it. The second of the two big changes that the consultants made this week is one that I'm sure the fans aren't going to like, it's one that neither Joey NOR myself liked, and we know for a fact that it didn't sit well with at least one of the guys backstage. Joey C: Those IDIOTS had the AUDACITY to FIRE one of the most recognizable faces AND voices associated with this organization, they... they... Mark Perletta: Citing her "good girl" image not drawing as much male attention as they think an edgier female ring announcer could bring in addition to her refusal to take steps to portray that type of image, the consultants recommended that Jen X no longer be the ring announcer for LEGACY Tour programing, a recommendation that the front office decided to take action on, and after tonight, I presume we will not see Jen X as a part of the LEGACY Tour. Joey C: I think it's complete horseshit that they made this decision. Jen X was one of the cornerstones of the non-competitive staff around here. She was great to tour with, and although she didn't have a huge effect on the chemistry of the roster, her being removed from the LEGACY Tour is going to have a negative effect on the locker room. Mark Perletta: Well later in the show we see the effect the news has on at least one member of the roster, but keep in mind that there was no announcement to the roster about Jen X being removed from her position in this organization. Word spread through the backstage area, but as the show progressed through the night, not everyone was aware of the news. Joey C: The thought just occurred to me... if they can do that to Jen X, who around here is safe? I mean... what if they decided you were too boring and they replace you? Mark Perletta: I wouldn't be a big fan of that, to be very blunt. I think it would be a huge mistake to try to replace either one of us. Joey C: No offense, but they tried removing me once already, remember that? We saw how well THAT little experiment worked, and so there's no way they're going to get rid of me. They obviously learned their lesson, I'm just sticking up for you right now. I don't want to do a show with someone else. I've invested enough time in turning you into a viable announce team partner and I don't want to have to spend that time all over again with someone new. Mark Perletta: Thanks for the concern. Since we're both here tonight, we made it through at least round one of the potential cuts, let's just hope we make it through any and all future "brand defining consultant recommendations". All we can do is hope for the best and prove that we are the right men for the jobs we currently hold, and right now that involves getting on with the show. Joey C: Our first Shock... our first Tour Stop after the big Rise of the Elite 3 show, and tonight's line-up isn't FILLED with title matches. As a matter of fact, we've only got one title match on tonight's show, and that title was the one belt not defended on that event. Mark Perletta: Nicholas Creed may not have had to defend the belt at Rise of the Elite 3, but he participated in arguably one of the most brutal matches of the pay per view, so to even insinuate that he had the night off just because he didn't defend the World Television Title... that's just ignorant. Joey C: Also on the show tonight are some other interesting matches, with Conor McLellan taking on one of those japanese guys, Osamu Tanaka or something like that... Mark Perletta: Actually Conor McLellan is taking on Katsuro Yoshida, one of the finest wrestlers to come out of Japan in quite a long... Joey C: Yeah, yeah, whatever, we get the point, he's a Hall of Famer over there, he's a legend over there, so what, his name is still hard to remember. So I guess Osamu Tanaka is facing someone else tonight. Mark Perletta: Actually it's Osamu Hayashi, and yes, he is in action tonight against a... a spirited young man who calls himself "The Only Way" - Aaron Beaudway. Joey C: When I first saw that name I figured he was going to be some kind of religious freak or something, but he's not at all. In fact, he's exactly the opposite - I don't think that guy takes ANYTHING seriously, not even himself! Mark Perletta: Well he's yet to win a match here on the LEGACY Tour, let's see if he took his preparations for tonight's match seriously or not. Joey C: One guy who better have prepared himself for his match tonight is Diego de Cardenas. Sure, he got to the finals of the Sky High Cup at Rise of the Elite 3, but how's he going to do against a guy who out-weighs him by over 75 pounds?! Mark Perletta: Well that's the first match we have for you here tonight, and let's not forget about the match between John Thomas and D.J. Cassidy, which had a bit of interesting fallout from it. Before our first match of the night, though, we were treated to a few words by arguably the most popular guy in our organization. Let's take a look... The New Champion Speaks
The footage takes us inside the Breslin Center where the crowd is anxiously awaiting the forthcoming LEGACY action. “Awake” by Godsmack dies down and signals the beginning of the show, but the PA system is silent but a moment before “Outlaw Torn” rips through the arena bringing the capacity crowd to its feet. And now I wait my whole lifetime for you I ride the dirt, I ride the tide for you To take back what you left me With that phrase the LEGACY Champion appears at the top of the rampway, and the crowd explodes with cheers. He’s dressed in his signature sleeveless “The Outlaw” t-shirt, and blue jeans, and black boots … the only thing on him speaking of his stature – the gold strapped around his waist. He doesn’t waste time in getting to the ring, but once there, he unstraps the belt and holds it high above his head and the crowd acknowledges him with a roar of approval. Finally, the music dies and Greyson brings the microphone he had been carrying in his left hand to his lips. However, he takes a moment to remain silent and look over the sea of humanity that was now chanting his name. Once more for good measure he raises the title up with one hand, and then with the rousing cheer he begins to speak. The Outlaw: You know I’ve come out here before, and I’ve often said that I don’t care how you people feel about me because I’m going to do at every step what I believe is right come hell or high water. However, I just have to say right now … it feels DAMN good to be the king and stand in the middle of this ring as your LEGACY Champion! The crowd cheers the new champion and a “Blade” chant starts up once more. The Outlaw: Now, I’m not going to come out here and say that it was easy, that blood I shed in that cage was a testament to that. Marcus Marion brought his “A” game at Rise of the Elite 3, and because of that … I know this isn’t over between us. I have the one thing that he wants, that he can’t have. So I’m going to let him crawl back in his hole with a few lines of coke and some underage twat and let him like his wounds … but when he comes back … I guarantee I will be ready for him. The thought a future Marion/Blade encounter gets some serious love from the crowd, but Greyson is ready to move on, and he begins to walk to a new position in the ring, giving a little nod to a particularly rowdy section of the crowd and then he turns back to the camera. The Outlaw: So now that I’ve won the LEGACY Title and have “climbed the mountain” so to speak the question becomes … “What now?”. Of course I could go on and on blathering about how this will be some kind of glorified “reign of honor” but I’m not going to bore you with that crap. What I am going to do now is speak to all the boys standing around in the back, and I’m going to challenge you to step up. Rise of the Elite has come and gone and from this moment on it’s all about what we do with LEGACY and how we make our mark. You hear a lot of bullshit out there. There’s a hell of a lot of people out there that don’t respect us or what we can do because a lot of people here haven’t had the chance to rise to the top… Blade pauses for a moment, thinking about how to continue. The Outlaw: In spite of what many people want to believe about real talent shining through… someone has to believe in you. They have to believe in you enough to give you that opportunity... That’s what OPW and now LEGACY gave me… a second chance. Someone has to give you that opportunity to make an impact, and that’s what we have right here. We have opportunity. So fucking what if Herbert J. Moxley hasn’t been a World Champion? From the crowd comes a scream of “We Love you Moxley” from some hottie geek girls in the mid-front row and Greyson gives a bit of a smile. The Outlaw: Tim Jones had better watch out … Mox could be on the prowl tonight. However, back to the real point … so fucking what if CREED hasn’t held the world in the palm of his hand? Can you really doubt a guy with the skills of a John Thomas? You know what? All of the doubt doesn’t mean shit. All of the negativity doesn’t mean shit. Here is our chance to do all those things they say we haven’t done. Here is our chance to fight, bleed, sweat, and risk it all because we love it. Here is our chance to make people realize we’ve got some fucking BALLS. So fucking step up and let’s see what you have got … whether you be a veteran who never got the chance or if you’re the new punk on the block … this is your “golden” opportunity. The Outlaw’s face moves into a broad smile with the mention of gold, and he gives a bit of a self-satisfied nod as the fans seem to be in total agreement with what he’s saying. The Outlaw: You want something? Make a challenge for it. You want the TV Title then go see if you can survive Nicholas CREED. You want the National Title? Go see if you can handle an Anselm spinebuster. You want to get a crack at this title and go one-on-one with me? I’m not fucking hard to find, because lord knows I’m ready to kick some ass. Greyson motions towards the crowd and into the camera, pointing and looking directly into it. The Outlaw: It’s time to put up or shut up LEGACY … and if you wanna put up … I’ll see you in the fucking ring. Case Closed. “Outlaw Torn” hits once more and Blade crawls up on the turnbuckles holding the LEGACY belt above his head to the fans as the scene returns to the feed from the recap position, where Mark Perletta and Joey C sit behind their desk. Mark Perletta: Some strong words from the World Heavyweight Champion, and from the sound of things, he's not only intending on being a fighting champion, he's hoping that people step up and make the most of opportunities all over the organization. Joey C: He'd better be carefull what he wishes for, because there are a lot of hungry guys on this roster just waiting to be given a shot to prove themselves, and as we find out at the end of the show, it doesn't take long before someone gets the ball rolling. Mark Perletta: We don't want to get into that situation just yet, but for now we have tonight's first match to get to where we had a clashing of cultures, with Jimmy Smith taking on Diego de Cardenas. Jimmy Smith vs Diego de Cardenas
Joey C: You liken it to a clashing of cultures, Marky, but come on, "Big Jimmy" lives in Hollywood. That's where they shoot all of his skin flicks. You mean to tell me that living in Southern California he doesn't run into guys named "Diego" all the time? Mark Perletta: Los Angeles does have a large hispanic population, but Diego de Cardenas isn't just your typical Mexican you might run into. He's not just some guy off the street, Cardenas is a legend back in his home country and one of the top rated talent in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine. Joey C: Well none of that helped him early on in this match when Jimmy Smith was just pulverizing him with hard forearms to the back, now was it? PWI can rate him whatever they want, and he might do really well against guys his own size, but for the first five minutes of this match, he was having his ass handed to him! Mark Perletta: Well it certainly didn't last the entire match, as Diego slid underneath Smith's legs and caught Big Jimmy with a dropkick to the back before he was able to turn around, a move that sent Jimmy into the ropes. Joey C: Well what I want to know is why the referee didn't repremand Diego for running in and hopping over the top rope and pulling down on Jimmy's neck as he flew over, catapulting him from the top rope back into the middle of the ring. I thought the rules were that if someone was tied up in the ropes, you had to let them get out before the match would continue! Mark Perletta: Jimmy Smith wasn't using those ropes to escape some move, he got sent into the ropes by Diego and was using them momentarily to keep himself from falling down to the mat! Cardenas capitalized on the opportunity, and from that point he took over the match using his speed and his technical wrestling ability to keep Jimmy Smith on the defensive. Joey C: Try as he might, the little man couldn't keep control of things the entire rest of the match, and Jimmy Smith did make a comeback, and he put himself into prime position to win the match. Start : Footage from the Match Grabbing Cardenas around the waist in a gutwrench position, Smith lifts Diego up, puts him onto his shoulders and then SLAMS him down to the mat with a "Big Bomb" powerbomb, bouncing Diego's head off the mat. A huge grin on his face, Jimmy Smith walks over and exits out onto the apron, then heads over towards the corner. Mark Perletta: Jimmy Smith turning this match around, and after that powerbomb, I think things are just about over here for Diego. Joey C: I knew this little guy didn't have a chance! Mark Perletta: I thought he was going to come away with the win, but it looks like for the second match in a row, Diego de Cardenas gets close, but he just can't finish his opponent off. Slowly, Jimmy Smith makes his way to the top rope, and once he gets there, he straddles the top turnbuckle and gyrates his hips, getting an excited squeal from the women in attendance, and then he gets up and balances himself on the top rope. Slowly but surely, Diego de Cardenas starts to get up off the match, but confident in himself, Big Jimmy just shrugs his shoulders, figuring he's done enough damage already, and so he dives off the top rope, looking for the UP ALL NIGHT, but as he leaps off, Diego turns to face him and jumps up and dropkicks Jimmy in the gut! Mark Perletta: Nice recovery by Diego de Cardenas, and it looks like he's looking to take advantage of this opportunity... Cardenas runs over and slides underneath the bottom rope, hopping up and immediately hopping up to the top rope, and then springing off into a twisting senton splash, landing right down onto Jimmy Smith, getting a good reaction from the fans in the process. From there Cardenas hops up to his feet, grabs Big Jimmy's legs, twists them around as if he's going for a Texas Cloverleaf, but instead of turning Smith over onto his stomach, Cardenas does a forward flip into a bridge, locking Jimmy into a pinning combination... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winner by PINFALL : Diego de Cardenas Mark Perletta: Cardenas picking up a quality win in tonight's opening match despite being considerably smaller than Jimmy Smith, and I think he showed more of what we had heard about him from various sources, that being that he's not a one-dimensional wrestler. He's got some high flying tactics, but Joey, most of what we saw here tonight from Diego de Cardenas was more of a grounded, technical style than anything. Joey C: Yeah, as if it weren't bad enough that he gets some kind of fluke win over the much more talented Jimmy Smith, Diego also decides to only bring his boring moves, leaving his exciting maneuvers at home, taking way the only things that make watching his matches entertaining. Mark Perletta: Luchadors don't HAVE to do high risk spot after high risk spot in the ring to be fun to watch. Just seeing how competitive Diego is in the ring and how he can switch up his approach to a match based on his opponent... that's just as fun to watch as seeing guys do flips all over the place. Joey C: Yeah, well what do you know, anyway? You think the guy who came out after their match is fun to watch, too. Goal Oriented
Back in the arena, the ring is empty as both competitors have returned to their respective locker rooms, and the voice of Herbert J Moxley can be heard over the PA System. Whenever a pretty girl smiles at you – or you just THINK she's smiling at you but she’s really smiling at the jock behind you… I’m with you. Whenever someone is kicking you around because they know you’re to kind hearted to retaliate… I’m with you. Whenever you’re sick and tired of all the controversy and just can’t wait for the next release of the next Loco Martinez action figure… I’m with you. When you’ve had enough wet willies, wedgies, and kicks to the crotch and you’re ready to stand up, to fight, to UNLEASH THE DRAGON… I’m with you. There are a few moments of silence. The crowd begins to chant, “Mox-ley, Mox-ley, Mox-ley.” Suddenly the malevolent voice of Howard Beale from “Network” blasts over the PA system. I’M AS MAAAD AS HELL – AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!! The crowd is on its feet as Herb Moxley comes down to the ring in an orange and powder blue Hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts. He dives under the ropes and into the ring and plays it up for the crowd a bit before kindly asking a representative from the timekeeper's table for the mic, looking around curiously for someone as he does. Moxley: Thank you for the nerd love everyone. And I know there is still a love for the nerds out there. I mean just look at what people said about my Television title match. “Herbert Moxley almost won the darn thing”. That’s true love right there, because honestly folks I let you down. I think I am still short three ribs and a kidney from that match, but the fans, they all remember it as if I moped the floor with Nicholas Creed. As if the sight of the guy doesn’t make me pee myself a little bit... The crowd chuckles and Moxley shrugs his shoulders and nods his head slightly. Moxley: A lot of questions have been shot my way lately. How come no one ever asks me the important questions? Like which element I would focus on if I were an elemental wizard? Clearly it’d be ice magic – since I’m SO DAMN COOL!! The crowd pops! Moxley: Hold up – better make if fire magic – since I’m SO DAMN HOT!! A small pop from the ladies gets a cheesey smile from Moxley, who wasn't apparently expecting that reaction from the crowd. Moxley: Sure maybe I’m not hot like Dan Stein who gets more ass then a toilet seat - and usually it’s ass that’s as dirty as a toilet seat. And maybe I’m not hot like Nick Creed who won runner-up in the cell block six beauty pageant. Or Marcus Marion who gets more underage bootey then a box of pampers. But I’m hot in that "Transformer lunch-box, Pokemon pencil sharpener, argyle boxer shorts with my name stitched on the inside" type of way. Moxley: But yeah, no one asks me those questions. What they do ask is this – What next? As is what’s next for Herb Moxley? Well that’s what I’m here to discuss and reveal folks. Let’s face it – its high time I got myself goal oriented in this business. Firstly the tag titles will always be in my sights and the Nerds will always battle against the hoards of evil…. But sometimes a nerd needs to look to the future… So what should my goal be? The Legacy World title? Some in the crowd cheers at this idea, some chants for Greyson Blade begin. Mox looks out over the crowd, appreciating the response that's being given, and then he puts up a hand and shrugs, starting again. Moxley: Hey just because my head is the perfect size to fit between Greyson’s front teeth doesn’t mean I want to let the guy use me as a tooth pick. The world title can wait. And what about the National title? Well my friend Jessie “DJ” Cassidy called dibs on that so I can step off for now. We’re talking double dibs with no backsies infinity here. But the TV title? I’m not done yet… That’s right folks… Herb Mox is on a quest... A quest to find his TV DESTINY!!! The crowd cheers his enthusiasm, and Mox throws his fist into the air, relishing in the response! Moxley: And I don’t care if I have to start from the bottom and face Agent Wang to see who the #34 contender is. Slowly, but surely, I will get my shot at Nick Creed and the TV title. So Creed… I know that brick for a brain doesn’t let you fear anything, but you best be afraid because there is NOTHING more dangerous then a GOAL ORIENTED NERD!!! The crowd cheers again as Herbert plays it up one last time before heading backstage. Joey C: I can't believe just how much those fans get behind this guy! What the heck do they see in that loser anyway? Mark Perletta: That's the thing, Joey, Herb Moxley ISN'T a loser, he's a lovable nerdy guy, the type of guy who most of us want to see succeed... and he does. Joey C: He DID succeed. Once. He's a former tag team champion. When's the last time he won any kind of significant match? It's been a while, Marky, and sooner or later these idiot fans are going to realize that their Nerd Hero is nothing more than a one-hit wonder, a guy with a fluke win against the Greatest Tag Team of All Time, and if he were really any good he'd have more gold on his shelf back at home to show for it, but instead all he's got are some action figures still in the package that he says are collectors items! Mark Perletta: Well not everyone sees things the way you do, Joey, and like it or not, Herb Moxley is getting noticed, and if he continues to earn himself opportunities, he will have a bright future here on the LEGACY Tour. Up next are two more of the newer members of the LEGACY Tour, both looking for their first win in a singles match. Aaron Beaudway vs Osamu Hayashi
Mark Perletta: Things got off to an interesting start, with Hayashi pelting Beaudway with kicks, then Beaudway trying to get the advantage by trying to take his opponent down to the mat with a hiptoss that he uses following an irish whip, but Hayashi just flips through the attempt. Joey C: Yeah but he didn't avoid the dropkick that followed, and Beaudway took control of the match from there. Mark Perletta: That he did, using an eye gouge and then a blatant chokehold to start wearing down Osamu Hayashi, and then hitting a dropkick once the referee made him release the hold. Joey C: Beaudway got a little too confident with how the match was going, and when he half-assed an irish whip attempt, Hayashi came off the ropes with more momentum than he was expecting and flew off the mat, taking Aaron down to the mat with a flying spinning heel kick to the jaw. Mark Perletta: Hayashi took advantage of the move and started to get back into the match, but as he worked over Aaron Beaudway, he got distracted as two men came down to ringside, and although I thought they came out from the locker room area, I found out after that show that apparently hopped a steel guardrail somewhere over near the portal where the ring and light rigging comes through. Joey C: Although one of the guys wasn't much bigger than Diego de Cardenas, the other guy looked to be a legit seven footer, and before they could do much more than distract Osamu for a moment, Hayashi's manager Shinya Nori came out and started yelling at them, causing them to exit back out into the crowd. Mark Perletta: The match from there saw Hayashi try to continue controlling the match with Shinya at ringside, but a minute or so later Beaudway stopped an irish whip attempt with a knee to the gut and then dropped Osamu to the mat with a Samoan drop. Joey C: He couldn't keep control of the match, however, as Osamu quickly made a comeback after blocking another hiptoss attempt and planting Beaudway face first into the canvas with a nicely executed standing drop toe hold, followed up quickly by a standing guillotine legdrop. Start : Footage from the Match Osamu now up on the top rope, he springs off as Beaudway gets up off the mat and turns around looking for his opponent, and Osamu goes for the cross-body block. Aaron catches him mid-air, however, and then spins around to deflect some of the momentum and goes for a bodyslam, but as he does Osamu grabs on around his knees, locking on to one of The Only Way's arms with his legs and rolls him up into a pinfall combination... ONE! TWO!! KICKOUT!! Mark Perletta: Aaron Beaudway looked a bit surprised by the pinning combination, but he was able to shoulder out of it anyway. Joey C: Well he'd better get up off the mat and make something happen if he wants to win this match, because Osamu sure isn't slowing things down for him at all! Hayashi comes flying off of the ropes with a lot of momentum and as Beaudway turns and looks up to look for his opponent, he spots Hayashi just as he leaps and grabs The Only Way with a flying headscissors... but Beaudway partially catches him by the waist in mid-air and turns with him, throwing Hayashi away... right into the referee! Joey C: The referee gets taken down as he ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time! Mark Perletta: I don't know if that's how it went down or not. Frankly I get the idea that Beaudway MEANT to do that. I think he MEANT to throw Hayashi into the referee! Joey C: Don't give Beaudway too much credit, now. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who would put that much thought into anything to be very honest! Have you talked to the guy backstage at all? Not the brightest tool in the shed. Mark Perletta: Oh I don't know about that, but he sure is a likeable guy. As Hayashi gets up off the mat, Beaudway steps in and hits him with a low blow, and with Osamu doubled over, Aaron grabs him by the head, sets him up, then jumps backwards and hits a piledriver that he calls the BANGKOK DRIVER and the hooks the leg, going for the pinfall. The referee is awake enough to see the cover, and he makes the count... ONE! TWO!! THRE!!! Winner by PINFALL : "ONLY WAY" Aaron Beaudway Mark Perletta: It wasn't necessarily a clean victory, but Aaron Beaudway gets his first victory here on the LEGACY Tour, using that same low-blow / piledriver combination that got him disqualified in his first match on the Tour not quite a month ago against Diego de Cardenas. Joey C: It's a move he apparently refers to as the BANGKOK DRIVER, and from what I hear, every time he hits that move, he asks his opponent a question... although what that question involves I'm not sure. Mark Perletta: I'm sure if the Only Way stays on the LEGACY Tour we'll find out all about that, and I'm also wondering what the deal was with those two fans who were trying to come down to the ring. They looked remotely familiar but I just can't place who they are... Joey C: Well Shinya Nori, the manager for both Osamu Hayashi and Katsuro Yoshida, seemed to want to ensure that those two "fans" didn't get involved in the match and cause his client to lose the match, but what's to say that they would've done something to the member of Bushido Buntai? What's to say that they weren't coming out to attack Aaron Beaudway?! The Only Way probably has his enemies too, ya know. Mark Perletta: I guess that's entirely possible, but we'll have to wait for next week to see if anything more on that situation comes up because that's all we saw of those two tonight, although Aaron Beaudway did show up again later in the program. Next up, however, we caught up with former World Tag Team Champions who are apparently having more problems than ever getting along. Family Feud
Making his way through the back halls of the arena, Stephen Rawlings walks alone down the corridor, headed towards his locker room when suddenly Chris Turner appears out of nowhere and starts walking with him. Almost immediately Stephen gets an annoyed look on his face and starts walking faster, and Chris tries to keep up, but not being as physically fit as Rawlings is, tries his best to keep walking close behind him. Chris Turner: So I've been thinking... Rawlings knows what happens when Turner starts thinking and he shakes his head, not happy to be in the situation he's currently in, but Turner doesn't notice and just keeps on talking. Chris Turner: ..and with what happened at Rise of the Elite, the Odd Cousins have a great reason... a FANTASTIC reason... on why we should get a rematch against Stein and Conor.... and so all we gotta do to help us become champions again... to help YOU get gold around your waist again... all we gotta do is go talk to Rob or whoever the front office has here tonight, tell them our reason, and demand another title shot. Stephen turns to Chris. Stephen Rawlings: How on earth have you come up with anything that even resembles a good reason to give us a rematch? Chris Turner: Because you were sick... You weren't thinking straight... Mental health should be a good reason. Stephen Rawlings: You'd know huh? Chris Turner: What's that supposed to mean? Stephen Rawlings: That your an idiot! Chris Turner: Oh... Hey wait! I'm not an idiot. Stephen Rawlings: Yes... You are... I wasn't "sick". I did what I did on purpose, and I'd do it, if I need to. Chris Turner: Dude... That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! Stephen Rawlings: No wonder you're such an idiot. You never even listen to what you're saying! Chris Turner: If your not gonna try to get a rematch... I will... I'll go to Rob and... Stephen Rawlings: No... Chris Turner: Come on man. Those belts are ours... Let's give it another shot. Stephen Rawlings: I SAID NO! Stephen stops himself. Stephen Rawlings: There is no more "Us". No more goddamn Odd Cousins. I'm through with it... Through with Tag wrestling. Chris Turner: What? I don't understand. Stephen Rawlings: It's simple! Greyson blade has now tied me with number of belts won. If I want to become the first Grandslam Champion.... I HAVE to kick it into gear.... I need to wrestle... BY myself! Chris Turner: What am I going to do? Stephen Rawlings: You're going to look for a new job. Chris Turner: What? Stephen Rawlings: You're no longer a member of the legacy roster. Chris Turner: What? How? Stephen Rawlings: Your contract was up, and I told Rob it wouldn't be a good idea to for you to continue wrestling in this corporation... He agreed! Chris stops walking and stares at Stephen. Chris Turner: How could you do that? Stephen Rawlings: It was a hell of a lot easier than you'd think.... And quite relieving. Chris Turner: You can't do this.... Stephen Rawlings: Umm.. Yes I can. I just did. Chris Turner: You really don't know what you're doing Steve... You don't want to piss me off.. Stephen Rawlings: OOOH... I'm scared! Chris Turner: If you go through with this.... He steps up closer to Stephen and looks into his eyes. Chris Turner: I will make your life a living hell. The hell you lived when Damien Black was around is fucking bliss compared to the way I could make you suffer. Are you sure you want to go that route? Stephen Rawlings: You even try and I'll have you back in that straight jacket quicker than you couldn spell "it". Chris Turner: Is that a threat? Stephen Rawlings: No... It's a promise... Chris Turner: You wanna play like that? Fine... Next week.... You and me... A straight jacket match... You get it on me... and I'll leave you're life for ever. Leave this fed... Move out of your place... Never speak to you again! But if I get it on you... Stephen Rawlings: What? Chris Turner: I get to sign a new contract... That way I can wrestle solo and become Grand Slam Champion before you... Stephen smirks. Stephen Rawlings: And let me guess... Hardcore rules? Chris Turner: Always! Stephen Rawlings: Sure... You got it... I can't wait to wave bye to you for the very last time. It'll make my fucking year! Chris Turner: Try saying that when I knock all your teeth out. Stephen Rawlings: No more threats... Just bring it next week... Chris Turner: You got it! Stephen Rawlings: GOOD! They go their seperate ways, and the camera switches back over to where our two recap announcers are sitting, and Mark Perletta looks amused at what just happened. Mark Perletta: They may be cousins, but that doesn't mean they're going to get along, and that was quite possibly the last time we'll see them walking down the hall together backstage. Joey C: And that's a GOOD THING! I hate it when one guy gets weighed down by having to carry someone else in a tag team, and I couldn't be happier that Chris Turner is FINALLY going to be free of Stephen Rawlings holding him back from his true potential. Mark Perletta: I don't know if that's the case at all. Some people might agree that it could very well be the other way around, saying that Chris Turner is the one holding Stephen Rawlings back. Irregardless, next week could be the last time we see Chris Turner in a LEGACY Tour ring, as Stephen Rawlings has the chance to force his cousin to leave this organization. Joey C: Yeah, a CHANCE, but not a very good one! Before our recap show started, I talked quickly with Smith Cartwright about this situation, and he confirmed that the match has been signed, it is a hardcore match, and that means that Stephen Rawlings doesn't stand a chance! Mark Perletta: Well Stephen Rawlings is familiar with his cousin's fairly lengthy hardcore resume, he knows what he's getting into, and personally I think that Stephen Rawlings stand a good chance in this match, because quite frankly I don't know if Chris Turner is going to be able to be as hardcore in the ring against his cousin as he is against other random competitors. Joey C: If I were Stephen Rawlings, I wouldn't go into this match hoping that Chris Turner reacts that way. He's a crazy guy and he's bound to do just about anything to get what he wants! Mark Perletta: Should be an interesting match up between those two, but up next we half one-half of the tag team champions taking on Katsuro Yoshida of the Bushido Buntai. Osamu Hayashi came up short in his first singles match here on the LEGACY Tour, let's see if Yoshida can do any better than his tag team partner. Conor McLellan vs Katsuro Yoshida
Mark Perletta: As this match got started, Conor swung in wildly at Katsuro with kicking attempts, but coming from a martial arts background, Yoshida backed out of the way of each of them and continued to size McLellan up. Joey C: Try as he might to get the action going, all of Conor's attempts at either striking Yoshida or locking up with him were either blocked or swatted away. Mark Perletta: The frustration growing inside Conor McLellan was very obvious, but the calculating Katsuro Yoshida kept the early part of the match going slowly, trying to get a feel for his opponent. Joey C: When he finally got things started a good two minutes after the opening bell rang, I don't think anyone was surprised that Conor was a bit too frustrated with things early on and got over-powered by Yoshida. Mark Perletta: Katsuro visibly the stronger of the two, he wore down Conor a bit with a strong side headlock, really wrenching it in. Joey C: When Yoshida went for a snapmare, Conor McLellan blocked the attempt and whipped around and nailed him right in the face with a hard roundhouse kick! Mark Perletta: Conor kept in on the attack, taking Katsuro down with a bulldog, and then just started laying into him with mounted punches, which he followed up with stomps and kicks to the ribs. Joey C: It was the violent side of Conor shining through, and you have to wonder just how successful he could've been had this side of him shone through a lot sooner instead of that whiny emo "Where's Laura?" Conor that we saw for quite a while. Mark Perletta: Conor had control of things for a couple of minutes in the middle of this match, but when Katsuro Yoshida nailed him with a back elbow smash and then dropped him to the mat with a belly to back suplex, it didn't look good for Conor. Joey C: No, but it could have. Just like he did a few weeks ago in that three-way dance, Conor seemed to just accept the beating that his opponent was handing out, almost refusing to put up any kind of defensive! Mark Perletta: I, for one, don't understand it either, but I didn't get the idea that Conor was "on" anything this week, so we can't blame it on substance abuse. Start : Footage from the Match Sending a hard knee to the sternum of Conor McLellan, Yoshida pivots around and nails Conor with a roundhouse kick to the back of the knee, dropping him down to a kneeling position, and from there Yoshida switches up his stance and lays McLellan out with a roundhouse kick to the back of the head. Mark Perletta: Yoshida being the ring veteran he is, he could tell that Conor wasn't doing much to defend himself, and so he capitalized and is now in great position to win this match. Joey C: He didn't seem to show much restraint or mercy with those wicked kicks. I'm starting to get more respect from this guy afterall. I might have to write down his name every week so I can remember not to pronounce it wrong. Mark Perletta: That might be the professional thing to do. Joey C: I'm just trying to make sure I don't get kicked in the head! Picking Conor McLellan up off the mat, Katsuro lifts him straight up and puts him back-to-back over his shoulder, and then grabbing him by the back of his arms, he lifts him up as if to go for a Razor's Edge. Instead of throwing him forwards, though, Yoshida lets Conor slide a little bit down his back, hooking in his arms and all in one motion falls backwards, planting McLellan into the mat, and then he rolls backwards and bridges, pulling back on Conor's arms he has hooked into a cattle mutilation. Mark Perletta: What a painfull looking submission hold locked in there by Katsuro Yoshida, and this doesn't look good for Conor McLellan! This is a move that Katsuro has used to gain countless wins in matches back in his native Japan, and unless Conor can do something quick, he could be next! Joey C: He's laying on his stomach, his arms are pulled back behind him, Yoshida isn't close enough to him for Conor to be able to do anything to him with his legs... what COULD Conor do to get out of this hold?! The crowd in the arena has a mixed reaction, some of them don't seem to know what to think, whereas some of them cheer simply due to the fact that Conor McLellan is screaming out as he lays on his stomach, locked in that submission. The referee comes over to see if Conor is going to give up, because with his arms twisted up, there's no way he can tap out. Realizing that he's not going to be getting out of the hold, Conor yells out for the referee to stop the match, quitting, and so the referee signals for the bell. Winner by SUBMISSION : Katsuro Yoshida Mark Perletta: A nice win here in his LEGACY Tour debut, and although Osamu Hayashi lost earlier on tonight against Aaron Beaudway, seeing what I saw out of both of these men here tonight, they're going to be a very formidable tag team around here. Joey C: Tag team? Katsuro Yoshida could be a great SINGLES wrestler on this roster. He should kick the loser I saw earlier tonight to the curb and go out on his own. He doesn't need some guy riding his coat-tails... or kimono-tails or kung fu sash. He needs to start getting more one-on-one matches and moving up the ladder, that's what he needs to do. That's where the money is. Fallout from "Image
Consulting"
Without having any lead-in, the camera flips backstage where Herbert Moxley is walking down the hallway humming to himself. He stops as he hears the sound of a woman crying. Moxley: (to himself) You hear that? A woman crying… Best be on my guard, Dan Stein can’t be far off. Herb proceeds down the hall with caution and approaches the young, blonde-haired woman who has her face buried in the wall. Moxley: Are you alright? … Hey… Is that? Jen, is that you? The woman turns around and we can see that is it, in fact, former ring announcer Jen X. Jen X: They fired me Herb… The two just look at each other, Jen trying to collect herself as Herbert struggles for something to say. Moxley: I’m so sorry… I’m too shocked that you know my name to think of anything funny to say to cheer you up. Jen smiles at this. Jen X: You’re too sweet… Jen suddenly wraps her arms around Herbert and gives him a tight hug, only to start crying again into his shoulder. Moxley whispers some consoling words and pets her hair gently, trying to calm her as the scene fades. Mark Perletta: I think a lot of people knew of Herb Moxley's affinity towards the young and innocent Jex X, but up until now a lot of us, myself and apparently Moxley included, just figured that Jen X didn't really know who Moxley was. Joey C: I've talked to her a few times, and to be honest, I wouldn't have been surprised if she didn't know who Herbert J Moxley was. I mean, she only announced his entrance into matches on televised shows, what, fifty times? Maybe a hundred? She's a sweet girl, I'm going to miss seeing her around, but she's not the smartest person around, and that's saying something when you consider that most of the people we see on a weekly basis are either wrestlers or wrestling fans, two groups who aren't usually associated with groups like The Chess Club or Mensa. Mark Perletta: I'm sorry to see her go nevertheless, and I hope Moxley enjoys the moments he spends with her before he's forced to say goodbye, though I'm sure our paths will cross again in the future at some point. She's a talented young woman who does a fantastic job in front of a live audience, and so hopefully the front office sees the error in their ways and decides to bring her back. Joey C: Personally I think it's time to see someone else get the chance to be ring announcer, but it was great to have her around. She's gone now, so I think we should just move on. It would be a shame to spend much more time devoted to her just like it would be a shame if the situation with Jen X took Moxley's attention off of the fact that his tag team partner D.J. Cassidy was in the next match taking on John Thomas. John Thomas vs D.J. Cassidy
Mark Perletta: The last time these two were in the ring together was about a year ago when John Thomas challenged D.J. Cassidy to a sparring session, and just like the way that match got started, John Thomas and D.J. Cassidy shook each other's hands in a show of respect. Joey C: I think signs of respect like that are over-rated and don't have any place in this business. Both of these guys want to be a success here on the LEGACY Tour, they both want to further their careers, and what they need to realize is that each time they step into the ring, their opponent stands in their way of making it to the top of this business. Mark Perletta: I think it's safe to say that both men were looking for a win here in this match up, but that handshake was a sign that they respect the way that they both conduct business and that they're looking forward to the competitive nature of things to come, and things started off very excitingly, with a lock-up that was won by John Thomas, but as he went for a standing armbar, Cassidy evaded the maneuver with a forwards roll and then he took John Thomas down by tackling John at the knees. Joey C: A nice amateur takedown, yes, but an effective maneuver it was not, though neither John Thomas nor D.J. Cassidy did anything in the first half of the match that I would consider an effective offensive move. The two of them just traded moves back and forth, the momentum shifting back and forth. Mark Perletta: John Thomas was the first of the two to take control of the match, ducking under a clothesline attempt from Cassidy and then sending him down to the mat with a high flipping dropkick to the shoulder, from there John proceeded to start working over Cassidy's shoulder using a variety of moves including a picture perfect shoulderbreaker. Joey C: Every time you get a guy in the ring who is at least a second generation wrestler, you always hear about how certain moves are extra crisp, textbook, or picture perfect. What's so wrong with a sloppy move if it does its job?! I just KNEW we'd have to hear all about how excellent both of these guys pulled off their moves just because somewhere in their genetic structure they have traits shared by one of their parents who at one time or another was involved in this business. Mark Perletta: Or is STILL involved in this business a la John Thomas' dad and owner of the LEGACY Tour, Rob Belote. John Thomas is by no means where he is in his career due to any help from Rob Belote, however. Rob made it very clear several months ago that John Thomas was going to have to make it in this business on his own, and that's what he has been striving to do ever since. Joey C: Having the owner of this organization as his father sure as hell didn't help save John Thomas when D.J. Cassidy blocked a suplex attempt and then took him down with a Side Russian Legsweep! Mark Perletta: Cassidy followed that move up with a series of moves that looked as though they were weakening John Thomas' legs at the knee, including a figure four leg lock that John Thomas had trouble getting out of. Joey C: When he did, John looked a bit frustrated and had a bit more pop in his punches, and that's when he re-took control of things, turning the tide with a swinging hammerlock neckbreaker that put extra pressure on Cassidy's shoulder. Mark Perletta: Just one of the innovative offensive maneuvers employed during this match by John Thomas, but D.J. Cassidy never gave up, never let down his guard, and kept fighting all the way to the bitter end. Start : Footage from the Match After taking D.J. down to the mat with a modified bulldog takedown mixed with an armbar, John didn't let up, bringing Cassidy back up to his feet still holding on to the wrist. Twisting his opponent into a standing armbar, Thomas cranks it on and then starts yanking down hard on Cassidy's shoulder. As John yanks down for a third time he drops down to his knees, and then when he gets up to his feet, he twists around again and backs over towards the corner, and the excitement all over the arena starts to grow. Slowly John starts ascending the turnbuckle, and when he gets to the top rope, he starts walking down the length of the top rope, and then he stops, and then he and the fans all yell out in unison... John Thomas and Crowd: NEW SCHOOL!!! Leaping off, John rides Cassidy's shoulder down to the mat with his knee strategically positioned in the shoulder joint, rolling forwards as Cassidy hits the mat. John gets up, crouches down slightly and stalks in behind D.J. Cassidy, who is working to get up off the mat. As he returns to his feet, John steps in and goes to lock in the Crossface Chickenwing. Trying hard to fight it, Cassidy refuses to be taken down to the mat and does everything possible to get near the ropes. Mark Perletta: John Thomas has it locked in... can D.J. Cassidy break free from the hold or get to the ropes to force a break? Suddenly D.J. turns and puts his feet up, hitting the middle rope and shoving backwards, going down to the mat and rolling backwards. All in one fluid motion the two roll over at least one full rotation and Cassidy breaks free just enough to turn it into a bridging pinfall situation with his legs wrapped over John's and his hands pushing down on the mat... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winner by PINFALL : D.J. Cassidy Mark Perletta: A big win here tonight for D.J. Cassidy as he surprises John Thomas with that roll up, and it's not just the fact that he won this match, but it's how he won this match. It was obvious to me that a few of the things John Thomas did in this match were very well scouted by D.J. Cassidy, and if he can keep that up, if he can keep scouting opponents and approaching his matches intellectually like he did here tonight, he could get some quality wins headed forwards just like he got here against John Thomas. Joey C: I think the real story coming out of this match was just how frustrated John Thomas was over losing this match. Often known as more of a reserved, quiet guy who keeps to himself, John Thomas looked very upset with himself, even kicking the bottom rope out of frustration. Hell, f I just lost to a member of the Revenge of the Nerds, I'd be pissed at myself too. Looking for Potential
Areas for Improvement
The camera switches backstage where we find three sharp-dressed young men, each holding his own tablet PC in one hand, a stylus pen in the other. They all have on black suits, but their shirt & tie color combinations differ. One of them has on a white shirt with the overdone tan, black, and white checkered design tie from Burberry, retailing at $105 and available through the Burberry website. The second one has a blue, white, and brown striped tie over a blue shirt, and the third has on an orange and pink tie over an orange and pink vertical striped shirt. They all three look self impressed, and as they pass two members of the production crew, two of them don't even notice, and the third gets a sour look on his face. Consultant 1: So what do you think, Wellington, have we put in enough "face time" tonight? I'd like to see what kind of bar scene is around here. Wellington: Come on, Dominic, what kind of "hot spots" do you expect a place like Lansing, Michigan to have? The third one chimes in. Consultant 3: The bar next to the hotel looked completely heinous, I wouldn't be caught dead there. Dominic nods his head. Dominic: I completely agree, Douglas. What would you expect in a town where even their finest hotels don't have a door man and the per-diem wouldn't even cover my bar-tab at Shennanigans back home? All three of them get a "you're completely right" look on their face, and as the camera zooms out, we notice for the first time that Aaron Beaudway is behind them, a HUGE goofy grin on his face. Out of the corner of his eye, Dominic notices Beaudway and turns around. Dominic: Do you need something? The other two consultants turn around, noticing Beaudway and cringing at his moto-cross jacket, obviously not stylish enough for them. "Only Way" cocks one of his eyebrows up and looks back at Dominic and responds in a James Bond type of serious tone. Beaudway: Do I need something? Yeah, like maybe you three could help me pick out a new handbag. Nice tie, by the way. Walking past them, Beaudway starts laughing histerically, and the three consultants look at one another. Wellington: I like your tie, too. Where did you get that? Douglas: At the Brooks Brothers in Manhattan. Dominic: Have you been to the one in Georgetown? Next time we're in D.C. we're definitely going to have to go. Wellington: Agreed! Douglas gets a smirk on his face, knowing that the other two envied his tie. Venting of Frustration
The camera switches locations backstage as a cameraman walks down the hallways following John Thomas, who still looks visibly distraught, and suddenly he shoves open his locker room door, and as the cameraman catches up to him to see what else he might do, we see John pick up a steel chair inside his locker room and he throws it into the wall. When he sees the cameraman recording through the door he is holding open with his foot, John walks over towards him with a rapid pace. John Thomas: Do you mind...? John grabs the door and slams it shut, knocking the cameraman backwards a few steps. The camerashot then switches back over the recap broadcast position where Mark Perletta looks uncomfortable with the situation. Mark Perletta: John Thomas apparently not taking that loss well at all, and I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks something before the night is through. Joey C: First of all, it's ALWAYS the quiet ones who end up flipping out, but secondly, why SHOULD he be taking that loss any better? He's officially on a losing streak, Marky. First he loses to Nicholas Creed, losing the World Television Title. Then there was the match at Rise of the Elite 3 where he and Freak Show got beaten by Wolfson and Dominion... and now here he is losing to D.J. Moxley of all people! Mark Perletta: In my opinion there's absolutely nothing wrong with losing to D.J. Cassidy. Speaking of Nicholas Creed, our fifth and final match of the night is up next as Creed is set to try to defend his World Television Title against none other than the "All Star " James Win. World Television Title Match
James Win vs Nicholas Creed (c) Mark Perletta: As this match got started, the fans seemed a bit divided over who to cheer for, given that Creed, his mentor Eric Wolfson, and Wolfson's tag team partner Jake Dominion haven't been fan favorites thus far, though Creed did have a great match last week that was voted the favorite match of the pay per view event. Joey C: Yeah and you could tell that some of them wanted to cheer for James Win for various reasons, namely that he's one of the most charismatic guys on the roster, not to mention the fact that his buddy Gryffin is starting to get more cheers as well now that he's successfully defending the National Title against guys like Chivalric. Mark Perletta: Well either way these two superstars got into the ring and got things started right away. Things went back and forth early on in the match with Creed utilizing his strength advantage, James Win using his speed to his advantage. Joey C: And early on it was James Win who actually controlled the tempo of the match, getting shots in on Creed and then making him chase him around the ring. Mark Perletta: It was a strategy that worked well for about seven minutes or so, because during that time frame Creed did get in some good shots on Win, but each time Win was able to keep SIN from turning one move into a chain of moves. Joey C: That is until Creed caught Win with a stiff clothesline and then started laying into him with rapid forearm shots to the back, followed up by a whip into the ropes and a sidewalk slam on the return. Mark Perletta: Well Creed got control of the match, but as he went for the repeated knees to the face of his opponent that, the move he aptly calls Crimson Bullets, after getting hit with the first knee to the face, James Win grabbed Creed around the leg and pulled back, taking him off his feet. Joey C: James Win was able to capitalize, dropping two quick elbows down onto the chest of Nicholas Creed, which he followed up by kneeling over his opponent and laying fists into his face. Mark Perletta: Win couldn't keep that up, however, as Creed got his arms up and shoved James Win off of him, and then when they both got back to their feet, Creed took control of the match once again.. Start : Footage from the Match Before James Win can continue on his offensive, Creed dives towards the All Star and nails him in the face with a forearm shot, taking him off his feet. Wanting to continue in on the offensive, SIN takes Win by the arm, lifts him up to his feet, and then Creed irish whips his opponent into the ropes and on the return SIN grabs the All Star, lifts him up, spins around and PLANTS him into the mat with a spinebuster slam. Joey C: Huge amount of impact on that spinebuster, and I would venture to say that James Win might be in trouble here... Mark Perletta: He's going to need to do something to get him back into this match, but the question is whether or not he's going to have any opportunities to do so. Grabbing James by the neck, Creed lifts his opponent up off the mat, going for a vertical suplex of some sort, but before he can complete the move Win floats over and ends up behind Creed. Taking advantage of the opportunity, The All Star grabs Creed around the neck, pulling him backwards, and drops him with a reverse DDT drop, laying himself out flat in the process for a harder effect. Getting back to his feet, Win runs towards the ropes... he leaps... asai moonsault attempt... Mark Perletta: And Creed gets his knees up! James Win with a picture perfect asai moonsault right into the knees of Nicholas Creed! Joey C: He probably should've stomped on him a few times before going for that moonsault, but hey, even an All Star makes an error now and again! Mark Perletta: And THIS error looks like it's going to cost him! Nicholas Creed gets back to his feet slowly and grabs James by the head, lifting him up to his feet. Getting behind him, Creed locks in a stiff full nelson, Win shaking around, trying to break free, but before he can, Creed lifts him up off the mat... pivots around... URINAGE SLAM!! REIGN OF SIN!!! Creed repositions himself into a pinning combination on Win and hooks the leg back to where Win's knee is almost touching his face and the ref makes the count... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winner by PINFALL : Nicholas Creed Mark Perletta: Yet another successful defense of the World Television Title there by Nicholas Creed, and has anyone been hotter inside that ring over the past month or so than that guy?. Joey C: He is on quite a roll, but as the World Television Champion he's going to have to keep that streak going week after week as he defends his title on every single show. Mark Perletta: That is one of the drawbacks to having that belt, never getting a week off, but it also provides a huge opportunity for guys to prove themselves on a weekly basis, especially when any given week there are just as many guys who have to sit back and watch things happen from their locker rooms as there are guys who get the opportunity to step into the ring. Joey C: Speaking of getting opportunities, as the show was winding down and the guys backstage were starting to head out to bars or back to their hotels, one guy was taking full advantage of an opportunity. Stepping Up
The camera heads backstage and we see The Outlaw walking with the LEGACY Title around his waist, and it appears he’s talking to someone on his cell phone. Suddenly, we see a steel chair impact the back of Blade’s skull and he hits the concrete. He tries to push himself up but a boot meets his ribs and rolls up against the wall. From there two sets of hands pull him up only to hit him in the stomach again with the chair and then shove him back down to the floor. The camera pans up and we see Disorderly Youth, standing over Blade, and Dan Stein admiring the handy work. Stein: You want this roster around you to step up? You want us to take advantage of opportunities? Stein looks over at Conor and lets out a quick chuckle. Stein: Tell you what, Champ… Next week … you and me in that ring. Challenge accepted … bitch. With that Stein throws the chair down onto Greyson and then he and Conor turn and begin walking away, stepping on Blade’s cellphone with a crunch as the scene goes back to studio. Mark Perletta: Well we're almost out of time but I CAN confirm to you that I have talked to a representative of the front office who told me that we will see Greyson Blade step into the ring against Dan Stein next week in a non-title match, stating that they are willing to give Stein the opportunity to prove himself in a match against Greyson, but they didn't want to reward his actions with a shot at the title. Joey C: What, suddenly they're frowning upon double-team attacks with chairs from behind? Mark Perletta: Now we're officially out of time so for Joey C, I'm Mark Perletta, we'll see you next week where hopefully we bring you a show that has a name! Good night! |
