The LEGACY Tour logo shows up on a black screen and it fades out as "Rise" by Skrape starts to play, and clips from the LEGACY Tour Shockwaves start to appear on the screen. We start with images from the first week's main event when Marcus Marion defeated Devastation for the World Heavyweight Title. The next clip shows Stephen Rawlings and Dan Stein battling it out, first in their Sky High Exhibition Match, then from the tag match, and finally from the three-way match they had. We then see clips of Moxley and Conor battling it out, first in a tag match, and then from the other three-way match from the final Shockwave prior to Rise of the Elite 3. Clips from the match between John Thomas and Nicholas Creed are shown, and then we see clips from the match between Creed and Herbert Moxley. Following that is footage from a tag match where Tim Jones and John Page were in the ring against one another. We then get quick-cut, nicely edited footage of the each of the other three various Sky High Exhibitions which have taken place. "I won't give up until the blood soaks my fingers We are then treated to footage from the encounters between John Thomas and Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion, which is followed by footage of Loco Martinez's entrance before the first tag match between these two teams. That is followed up by a clip of an encounter between Loco and Wolfson backstage, which is then followed by clips from the match those two had the week after that, ending in a pinfall by Loco Martinez. "Rise up in the fold Short, quickly edited footage of Cronos Diamante battling it out with Voodoo are shown, and Voodoo fighting with Creed, and then Cronos getting into it with Creed. The last of that footage is from the fifth Shockwave of the LEGACY Tour when Creed threw Cronos off of the stage. "The reflection in the mirror Clips from the following matches were all mixed together, each one showing the victors' hands being raised, in two of the instances with championship belts being handed to them: The Odd Cousins vs Revenge of the Nerds match from April 27th, the Disorderly Youth vs Revenge of the Nerds match from May 11th, and the Disorderly Youth vs Odd Cousins match from May 18th. "I won't give up until the blood soaks my fingers Clips from the championship match between Greyson Blade and Marcus Marion are shown, including several from the middle of the match, then one of Chivalric getting involved, then Anselm taking out Chivalric, and then Marion getting the pinfall over Blade. That switches to clips from the tag match between these four men which took place over a week ago, ending with the clip of Anselm hitting the Devastator and Greyson Blade getting the pinfall on Chivalric with Marcus Marion watching on. "Rise up in the fold In rapid fire secession, we first see an image of all seven men involved in the Sky High Cup standing in the ring together, which is replaced by an image of Tim Jones and John Page in a standoff, then we see Creed, Cronos, and Voodoo all ready to get at each other's throats again. We follow that up with John Thomas and Loco Martinez standing several feet away from the team of Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion. We next see Gryffin Anselm looking over at a Locust masked Mason Bishop, followed by a shot of all three of the tag teams involved in the World Tag Team Title Match - Odd Cousins, Revenge of the Nerds, and the Disorderly Youth - all standing in the ring together in something of a Mexican standoff. The final image we see is one of Marcus Marion standing inside of the ring, looking through the cage to the outside where Greyson Blade stands, looking in at his opponent and the World Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. Welcome
The show opens on a shot the fans in random parts of the arena, standing in their seats, going crazy as the opening theme to Rise of the Elite 3 comes to a close, and then the shot ends up zooming in from a shot of the ring all the way up the isle and then flies over to the announce position located to the far side of the entrance stage, giving Mark Perletta and Joey C a great view of the arena. The view remaining on them, both men look ready to go, each of them wearing tuxedos with yellow neckties. Mark Perletta: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the All State Arena, the grand hall known as the Rosemont Horizon, and welcome to the most anticipated pay per view of the year so far, welcome... to Rise of the Elite3. About ten weeks ago this was an event that many people thought would never take place, but then Rob Belote stepped in, The LEGACY Tour got started, and here we are with a great night of action ahead of us. Joey C: You all know the card coming up so I don't know that there's much reason to run down the list of matches. If you didn't know what you were going to get when you tuned in tonight, well then just stick around for the ride and as we go, we'll give you minor history lessons before each one. Mark Perletta: Up first tonight is an interpromotional match that has caused quite a bit of buzz ever since the first week of the LEGACY Tour. That buzz started as questions over whether or not the round robin tournament set up to allow light heavyweights the opportunity to showcase their talents was going to be carried over into LEGACY. Once an announcement was made, there was a buzz of a totally different sort. Joey C: Instead of the 8 week round robin with a point system set-up that existed before, this round of the Sky High Cup would include various exhibition matches, though unlike some people initially thought, these exhibition matches were not qualifying matches, but rather they just served as a bit of an appetizer for the main course we're set to get here tonight. Mark Perletta: As was announced on the final Shockwave prior to tonight's event, the Sky High Cup will be decided this time around as eight men battle it out in a lucha libre tag style match, whereby two men are in the ring and any time a tag is made or a competitor is forced to leave the ring, a new person may enter the ring. Joey C: Once the first fall occurs that person goes on to the finals, awaiting his opponent, the man who scores the match's second fall. Once that second fall is awarded, the two men having scored pinfalls in this match will square off one-on-one in the finals, the winner of that match taking home the Sky High Cup and a decent amount of cash in the process. Mark Perletta: One of the biggest points of interest for this match includes the fact that this is an interpromotional match, as we saw with the inclusion of Jun Kenshin and Cade Sydal. With a big night of action ahead of us we can't waste any time, so let's get down to the ring as this live event gets under way. The view switches to a shot of Jen X who stands in the ring with a microphone in hand. Jen X: Ladies and gentlemen tonight's first match is scheduled for two falls and is the first half of the Sky High Cup 3 Invitational Finals... SKY HIGH CUP INVITATIONAL
MATCH
Lucha-Libre Tag Match Rules Jen X: Introducing first... coming from Outlaw Pro Wrestling... here is "The Dexecutioner"... Mike Dexter! Finger Eleven's "Absent Elements" breaks the initial silence and out from the back steps Mike Dexter to a considerably mixed reaction from the fans. Acknowledging the cheering from some of the fans, he shakes a few of the outstretched hands before sprinting a few feet and diving into the ring under the bottom rope. Mark Perletta: Former LEGACY Tour competitor Mike Dexter makes his return to this organization after leaving for Outlaw Pro Wrestling after the second week of active competition here. From what I understand Mike Dexter had already signed on to take part in the Sky High Cup before he decided to leave, and after brief negotiations with him a few weeks later, he was signed on to make his return to try his hand at capturing the Cup and make a name for himself as a light heavyweight competitor. Joey C: I think it was a smart move on his part, Marky. He's a great competitor who brings something a bit different to the table, as he's easily one of the stronger light heavyweights in our business. He stands a good chance of winning this thing, and anyone who doesn't think so is absolutely foolish. As Mike Dexter stretches out his arms and back using the top rope, Jen X makes her next introduction. Jen X: Introducing second... hailing from New York City... he is The All Star... James Win!! Despite being a member of the LEGACY Tour, the fans start booing as "All Star" by Smash Mouth starts to play, but as James Win steps out from backstage, he completely ignores the fans' reaction to him and he slowly makes his way down the isle, not even looking at Dexter as he gets into the ring with him. Mark Perletta: The ever arrogant James Win now making his way down to the ring, and although he was mentioned as a member of the LEGACY Tour, which he is, he's just as much a member of Outlaw Pro Wrestling. In the past three months James Win has competed in more matches there than he has with this organization, competing at the request of Gryffin Anselm in a light heavyweight tournament they were having in OPW called the Assassination Tango. Joey C: Obviously James Win didn't put his full effort into it after finding out how many people he would have to carry on his team in order to try to win it, and besides, who wants to win something being called the "Ass Tang" ? Mark Perletta: I've seen all of the matches involved and it was a hard fought tournament and exciting at that. I'd be willing to bet that future Sky High Cups will involve increasingly more people from that Assassination Tango. Jen X: And also a member of the LEGACY Tour, hailing from Chihuahua Mexico... here is Diego... de... Cardenas!!! Some traditional Mexican music starts to play and Diego de Cardenas walks out from the back to a decent reaction from the crowd. He puts his fist into the air, acknowledging their reaction, but he walks down the isle, not giving much more acknowledgment to their reactions, and then hopping up onto the apron and then almost effortlessly propelling himself up over the top rope and into the ring where he locks eyes with James Win, who seems unimpressed with Diego's display of athleticism. Mark Perletta: Now coming out to the ring is an exciting young man who was signed to compete on the LEGACY Tour after a member of the front office went down to Mexico for vacation and saw him wrestle. After sending back a bootleg tape of some of Diego's matches, the front office messaged their vacationing member and told him to make Cardenas an offer, and now here he is. Joey C: He's a great athlete, there's no denying that, and while he'll probably do well with the Sky High Cup, I have to wonder how he's going to be able to compete with men who don't qualify as a light heavyweight. Mark Perletta: Well in the next couple of months it will be interesting to see how Diego de Cardenas will do if he has to get into the ring with the likes of Gryffin Anselm or Nicholas Creed, but for tonight, size shouldn't be an issue. Jen X: Introducing fourth, hailing from Southport, North Carolina... he is THE TEEN IDOL... As soon as the fans hear the nickname, they go completely crazy, knowing who's coming out. Jen X: Cade... Sydal!!! The cheering turns into a huge pop as Cade Sydal steps out from the back, and acknowledging the reaction, he stands atop the entrance stage and looks out over the screaming fans, appreciating the love they're showing him. After waiting there for a moment, he continues down to the ring. Mark Perletta: And here comes the former World Champion Cade Sydal, another of the interpromotional stars competing on a per-appearance deal and trying to add another accomplishment to his resume. Joey C: For a few days it seemed like we might not get the chance to see Sydal compete in this match up, as apparently the organization who pays his monthly salary didn't really like the fact that he was taking part in a LEGACY Tour event. Mark Perletta: From what I hear he decided to take part anyway and I'm sure a lot of people are glad he did, but it's obvious from the looks of things that James Win isn't one of them. As Cade Sydal enters the ring, James Win approaches him and they lock eyes, both men standing motionless and looking at one another, and then Jen X steps forwards and continues making her announcements. Jen X: And next, hailing from Hillsboro Virginia by way of Ledo Pizza Leesburg... he is The Only Way... Aaron... Beaudway!!! There's quite a mixed reaction from the fans in attendance, some of them laughing, some of them cheering, and some of them booing as Beaudway comes out from the back, wearing his black motocross outfit with flames on the legs but no luchador mask this time, Aaron walks down the isle, a huge goofy grin on his face as he does. Mark Perletta: Unlike the last time we saw him, this time Aaron Beaudway comes down to the ring without his dirtbike and without a lucha libre mask like when we last saw him. Joey C: I realize he pissed a lot of people off when he pretended to be a Thai luchador in his debut match, but come on, that was hillarious. Absolutely hillarious. The Only Way is a really funny guy, and I'm glad he's a part of the LEGACY Tour and the Sky High Cup. Mark Perletta: Entertaining people does seem to be his strong shit, but honestly, wrestling doesn't seem to be. He seems to know some decent moves, but there's really no comparison between his skills and those of the rest of the competitors in this match. The Only Way gets into the ring and looks at the competitors already there, his goofy grin never leaving his face. Jen X then steps up and continues. Jen X: And the final member of the LEGACY Tour to enter this match, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada... he claims to be one of the most electrifying men in the business today... here is Agent... Wang!!! Wearing a pink vintage warm-up suit, Agent Wang steps out from the back to a decent reception, and as he gets to the top of the entrance ramp, he takes off his top and then rips off his tear-away pants to reveal a small pair of pink speedo-type shorts, getting a big reaction from the women in the crowd. Mark Perletta: Oh my, what an outfit being worn by Agent Wang. And what can I say about what he's got on? Joey C: You mean what he's barely wearing? This guy is crazy, but who knows, maybe this is something of a mind game he's playing with the rest of the people in this match. I mean, who's going to want to get close to this guy wearing THAT!?!? Mark Perletta: Well we'll see how it works out for him, but for the honor of being the winner of the third ever Sky High Cup and winning all that cash, I imagine that people are going to be a lot less hesitant than they might normally be when locking up with a man in a tiny pink speedo. Jen X: And introducing seventh... hailing from Kyoto, Japan and currently residing in San Diego California... here is JUN... KENSHIN!!! "Duck Down" by The Roots hits the speakers and Jun Kenshin steps out from the back, apparently not happy with the mixed reaction he gets from the fans nor with the LEGACY Tour logo hanging above his head just below the LEGACY Vision jumbotron, he's nevertheless looking determined as he starts walking down the isle towards the ring. Mark Perletta: Everything we've heard from Jun Kenshin when he has opened his mouth in regards to the LEGACY Tour is that he isn't as pleased to be competing here... Joey C: Which is weird when you think about it, considering the fact that everything you hear from him in his HOME organization is that he HATES it there, so I've gotta ask... where exactly WOULD he be happy? Mark Perletta: Well for all of the talk about how he's not happy to be here, he does seem to want to try to win the Sky High Cup, as he knows what an accomplishment like that would do for his career. Joey C: And lets not forget the hatred that he and Cade Sydal have been displaying for one another lately back in their HOME Organization. That should make things between them here tonight all the more heated. Mark Perletta: If my count is correct, we now have seven of the eight men in the ring, and the only one left is the mystery man, so let's see who it is. With all seven in the ring, waiting to find out who the last man is, Jen X steps up one last time. Jen X: And finally... introducing the eighth and final competitor and mystery opponent... hailing from Outlaw Pro Wrestling... here is Chris... Chimaira!!! "Cries in Vain" by Bullet for my Valentine hits the speakers as Chris Chimaira comes out from the back to a decent reaction from the fans, not huge though, as not everyone knows who he is. Without paying much attention to the reaction, Chimaira walks on down to the ring, scoping out his opponents, who are all watching himmake his entrance. Mark Perletta: Down to the ring comes former OPW Tag Team Champion Chris Chimaira, and this is an interesting turn of events, given that typically when you think of a mystery man who remains unknown going into a match like this, you expect them to be a huge name, and no offense to Chimara, but he's not exactly a huge name. Joey C: I was at least expecting a current or former light heavyweight champion from somewhere. Mark Perletta: I'm being told through my earpiece that Rob himself decided to pick Chris Chimaira as the eighth man in this match. Apparently he said he saw one of his matches in OPW'sAssassination Tango and wanted to give him a shot at being in the Sky High Cup. Joey C: Now I'M getting word that the first two men to square off in this match were pre-determined backstage... and it looks like it's going to be Jun Kenshin and Cade Sydal getting things going! The bell rings and all eight men stand there, glaring at one another. Ref orders Jun Kenshin and Cade Sydal to start off. Wang, Dexter, Diego, Beadway, Win , and Chimaira all leave the ring. Kenshin looks at Cade for a few short moments as the crowd buzzes in anticipation. Mark Perletta: This is going to be an intense match. Any of these men can be tagged in at any time! Joey C: Just look at whose going to start, two of the legends in cruiserweight style wrestling. Kenshin and Cade pace the ring for a few moments and then lock up in the center of the ring. Kenshin shoves Cade back, overpowering him in the corner. Kenshin looks to fire a forearm but Cade quickly ducks out of harm’s way. Cade with a hard kick to Jun's back and then a quick standing switch and takes Kenshin down with a Russian Leg Sweep. Cade back to his feet and he starts to run and as he hits the ropes Kenshin flips back onto his feet and Kenshin sweeps the legs out from underneath of Cade. Kenshin up and he tries to connect with a somersault leg drop that misses…. Both men back to their feet and Cade with a dropkick but Kenshin swats him away! Mark Perletta: Look at these two go at it! Joey C: Maybe Kenshin was right, these young guns might learn something! Kenshin takes advantage of the momentary advantage and hops onto the shoulders of Cade for a flying head scissors and he takes Cade over only to have Cade land on his feet like a cat and roll back into a fighting position. Kenshin runs in with a lariat that Cade bridges backwards to avoid. Cade hops onto the legs of Kenshin to go for a monkey flip but just like Sydal did when he was thrown, Kenshin lands on his feet also! Double punch? No, they stop in mid motion and then the STAND OFF! Mark Perletta: Unbelievable! ALL the fans explode out of their seats. Suddenly Beadway slaps Cade on the back of the head, and that's a valid tag! Cade turns and yells at the ref, who informs him of the tag. Cade shakes his head, looking at James Win and Aaron Beadway, who both grin from ear to ear. Cade walks away and into his corner as Beadway gets into the ring, smirking at Kenshin. Mark Perletta: Remember fans...anything can go here tonight, including all sorts of different tags in from the outside! Joey C: It's bound to be a great match! Beadway hooks up with Kenshin, drops under, tripping Kenshin up and jumping over Kenshin into a pinning combination which Kenshin kicks right out of without even letting the referee get into his position. Kenshin gets back up and armdrags Beadway over, charges in and Beadway sends Kenshin over with a hiptoss! Beadway runs in and Kenshin hooks him into a scoop slam, taking him down hard into the mat! He jumps into the air for a leg drop, but Beadway rolls away from the leg drop attempt and Kenshin lands hard on his ass! Joey C: Not the most gracefull of maneuvers by Kenshin. Kenshin calls out in pain, but Beadway is right up and NAILS a dropkick to the face of Jun Kenshin, sending Jun right down to the mat in a hurry. Beadway immediately snaps down with an elbow drop, circles back up to his feet and hits a knee drop, rolls over to a corner and tags in Diego De Cardenas, who sails over the top rope and NAILS a float over leg drop! Mark Perletta: WOW! Excellent team work. Diego goes for a pin! The ref is there! One! Two! Kenshin kicks out. Getting right back up to his feet, Jun Kenshin grabs his opponent by the arm and whips Diego to the ropes and hits a fierce slamming hip toss! Kenshin then leans back and tags in Chris Chimaira, who climbs to the top rope and then immediately comes crashing down into the ring hitting a top rope splash and holding on into a pinfall attempt! One! Two! Diego kicks out. Mark Perletta: Nearfall there by Chimaira, and his first move he hits in this match almost moves him on to the finals! Joey C: I think this is something we can learn to expect from Sky High Cup lucha libre tag matches... you always have to keep your eyes open, because with all the action going on, it's hard to tell what's going to take place. Chimaira grabs Diego in a front face lock… a snap suplex… followed by another… and then ANOTHER! Then a third! Rolling suplexes by Chris Chimaira! He floats over and hooks the leg... ONE! TWO! Diego kicks out. Chimaira and Diego de Cardenas get up from off the mat and Chimaira grabs Diego by the arm and irish whips him into the ropes. On the return a sprinting Cardenas gets there before Chimaira is ready for him, and Diego leaps into the air, lands on Chris' shoulders and then whips him around with a head scissors and sends him through the ropes to the outside. That move essentially tags in Agent Wang, who was the closest man to Chimaira when he exited the ring, and the popular jokester struts into the ring and hits Diego with a dropkick. Wang follows that up as he grabs Diego up into a scoop slam, then he runs and flips over backwards, slamming him down to the mat! Wang then hops up and does a “Big Wiggle” over Diego, when suddenly Diego reaches up with his legs and brings Wang down to the mat with a rollup pinning combination! ONE! TWO!! KICKOUT!! Mark Perletta: Near fall there by Diego de Cardenas, who took advantage of the antics of the Agent and nearly put himself into the finals! Diego gets up off the mat, grabs Agent Wang by the head and throws him out of the ring closes to The All Star James Win. As The Golden One starts to enter the ring, Diego walks over and tags in “The Only Way” Aaron Beadway. Mark Perletta: Back to serious action now with Win versus Beadway. Joey C: Serious action? Involving James Win and Aaron Beaudway? Win and Beadway tie up. A side head lock by Win, Beadway pushes him off to the ropes, Beadway with a leapfrog as Win comes bouncing back and Beadway with a nice sit out hip toss takeover. Beadway quickly goes to the top rope as Beadway flies off but Win with a dropkick to the stomach of Beadway! Beadway is clutching his ribs in pain. Win grabs Beaudway and throws him out of the ring, purposefully tagging Jun Kenshin back into the match. As Kenshin gets into the ring, Win runs over and nails him with a knee to the midsection, doubling him over. Win then follows that up with a snap suplex, taking Jun down into the middle of the ring. Hopping back up, Win then runs towards the ropes, jumps, lands on the middle rope and then propels himself backwards and lands a moonsault type maneuver down onto the Japanese native. Grabbing Jun by the head, Win picks him up off the mat, sets him up into a double underhook from a standing vertical head scissors and then DROPS him to the mat with a Pedigree type maneuver that he calls the Starburst. Knowing that someone would break up his Boston Crab second part of the move, Win gets a huge grin on his face and stumbles backwards, backing up and inadvertantly tagging in Cade Sydal as he leans back to gloat about having just dropped Jun Kenshin... Mark Perletta: Cade Sydal looks like he’s going for something here. Joey C: He’ll do anything for a win including sacrifice his body, Mark. Cade pulls back on the ropes, leaning as far away from the ring as possible, then he slingshots himself forward, flipping in mid air, his feet never touching the ropes…. Once around… almost half way around again... 469 2K5! Cade with a cover. ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winner of Fall 1 by PINFALL : Just as Cade wins, Kenshin tries to kick out, to no avail. As the referee raises Sydal's arm to signify the victory, Kenshin gets up and nails a stiff clothesline leveling Cade. Kenshin then throws Cade up and over the top rope, sending him out to the floor. Mark Perletta: Kenshin and Cade have had their problems as of late, and it looks like Kenshin isn't happy about the fact that Sydal just scored a pinfall over him! Joey C: With the help of James Win, mind you! Cade didn't get that pinfall all by himself! Kenshin grabs a steel chair but instead of hitting Cade with it, he props Cade onto the chair and he can be visibly heard. Kenshin: Win this one for me… kid. Kenshin laughs and he motions that “he’s had enough”. The fans boo the antics of Kenshin as the confused competitors look on. Mark Perletta: Jun Kenshin is leaving the match. He doesn’t want to win Sky High! Joey C: Well after getting pinned by someone he hates as bad as he hates Cade Sydal, I can understand why he might want to leave the ringside area. He's bitter and dejected! Mark Perletta: Well now the match continues, and whoever wins the next fall will go on to fight Cade Sydal in the finals, and the next half of the semi-finals begins... now. Win and Mike Dexter are now the legal men. They both begin a slow circle, the fans cheering as it has come down to the final fall to determine who will meet up with Sydal in the finals, and then they lock up! Dexter is quick to overpower Win, twisting behind him into a hammerlock! Win reaches his right arm back and grips Dexter around the neck and twists his body, breaking the hold and right into a side headlock! Mark Perletta: Unbelievable, these two are right back into the scientific aspect of this match as if they never left it! Joey C: Mike Dexter obviously with a lot still in the tank, not seeing much action prior to that first fall. Dexter quickly powers out and into an overhead wristlock, tripping Win down to his back, but the All Star twists into Dex before he can press his weight down onto him, and performs a front handspring to get back to his feet before twisting under into a wristlock of his own. Dexter quickly brings his free forearm around to try to make contact with Win's head to break the hold, but James ducks and then grabs Mike by the arm and he sends him through the ropes! Mark Perletta: James Win sending Mike Dexter out of the match, and here comes Diego de Cardenas! Joey C: Just another guy for Win to make an example out of. As Diego gets into the ring, Win goes for a clothesline as his opponent charges at him, but de Cardenas ducks under it and quickly hits the ropes, and on the return Diego flies towards Win with a flying heel kick. Win ducks and de Cardenas rolls over The All Star's back. Win turns around and he lunges at his opponent, but Diego leapfrogs him, then turns and dropkicks him, knocking him through the ropes and out of the ring! Mark Perletta: Amazing athleticism from Diego de Cardenas! Joey C: Did you see him just jump right over James Win? He was just standing there, and then... that was CRAZY!! Agent Wang enters the ring, with Win having been thrown out of the ring closest to him, and immediately Wang locks up with his opponent and then rolls backwards into a small package pinfall attempt... ONE! TWO!! Diego kicks out quickly, and rolls to his leg. He sweeps his arm out at Wang's legs, but Wang jumps. Diego quickly gets to his feet and catches Wang just as he lands on his feet and sends him off the ropes. Diego leaps upward for a dropkick, and Wang holds onto the top rope! Diego crashes onto his back, and Wang darts forward, catching Diego's legs, he rolls over him and stacks all the weight onto Diego's shoulders! Mark Perletta: Jacknife pin! ONE! TWO! Joey C: The shoulders are stacked high! No! Mark Perletta: Agent Wang knows when to have fun and when to take care of business. Diego is tagged in by the powerhouse, Mike Dexter now. Dexter and Wang tangle up as Dexter shoves Wang off. Wang goes tumbling away as Dexter flexes the muscles. Wang comes in but uses his quickness to side step, Dexter, Wang with a side head lock and then takes him down to the mat and Dexter desperately tries to break free of Wang. Wang hops up and then hits a double-leg stomp onto The Dexecutioner and then struts to the corner and tags in The All Star James Win. Dexter is enraged as he grabs Win and hip tosses him. Dexter uses his MMA experience as he mounts Win and does pummeling elbows Tito Ortiz style! Mark Perletta: Smart thinking by Wang to get out of the ring and let someone else take the lumps. Joey C: Maybe, but he can't win the match if he's not in the ring! Win is pummeled by elbow after elbow by Dexter. Dexter hoists Win onto his shoulders and does a modified Angle Slam! ONE! TWO! It’s broken up by Chimaira and Beadway! Chimera and Beaudway whip Dex to the ropes but Dex comes in and does a double clothesline on the two intruders! Dexter grabs Chimaira… Belly to Belly Suplex! Beadway stumbles up and gets a Belly to Belly! Dexter motions for anybody to dare come in as Wang says no way! Dexter grabs Win up but Win rolls him up! ONE! TWO! Dexter just escapes. Dexter stands up and he’s now face to face with the three men he just tossed around. Dexter looks around and sees no allies as all THREE guys with clobbering forearms! Dexter is knocked down as Win with a scoop slam followed by a leg drop from Chimera! Beadway with a running drop kick to the face! Win covers! One! Two! And now Wang breaks it up. Dex rolls out. Win and Beadway are talking trash as they are the legal men. Win and Beadway tie up, Win backs Beadway to a corner. A hard knife edge chop stuns Beadway. Win hoists Beadway to the top turnbuckle and takes him down with a top rope frankensteiner! Before Win can cover, here comes Dexter throwing out Beadway! Dex jumps to the top rope and hits Beadway with a cross body block! Agent Wang comes running in for a baseball slide dropkick taking out Dexter! Chimaira now goes to the top rope and he does a Shooting Star Press! Mark Perletta: This is crazy! Joey C: They forgot about the All Star! Win now goes to the top rope and after flexing for the crowd, he flies off the top rope and does a diving splash and ALL GUYS are down! The fans cheer in unison as every competitor is down except Diego de Cardenas. Joey C: Cade Sydal is sitting pretty watching all these guys kill each other. Dexter, the first man up to his feet on the outside, rolls into the ring extremely stunned as Diego grabs Dexter by the head and does a TORNADO DDT! Diego climbs to the top rope now and he does a FROG SPLASH as the crowd goes crazy with the “Eddie” chants for the late great wrestler. COVER! ONE! TWO! THREE! Winner of Fall 2 by PINFALL : Diego de Cardenas gets up off the mat, and the referee quickly raises his arm in victory. The referee then goes around the ring quickly informing the rest of the competitors that they must leave the ringside area, and although disappointed, they all comply. Mark Perletta: And now we're down to just two men in this match, and the winner of the third ever Sky High Cup is eigher going to be Diego de Cardenas, or it's going to be Cade Sydal. Joey C: Both men in the ring, we're not going to be wasting any time here, as this one is abou tready to get started up. SKY HIGH CUP MATCH
Cade Sydal vs Diego de Cardenas Cardenas lunges for a leg, sprawling out on his belly to do so, and Cade narrowly avoids the attempted trip and before he can drop into a front facelock, Cardenas smoothly slides right back up to a standing position. Both men snap forward into a collar and elbow tie-up, with Cardenas pulling the smaller man into a side headlock before grabbing Cade's wrist and swinging under the arm into a wristlock. Mark Perletta: Some solid chain wrestling to start things off, sort of a feeling out process. Joey C: They both pride themselves on their technical wrestling, so it'll be interesting to see who breaks that up first. Cade tries to pry the hands off of his wrist with his one free hand, to no avail. He grimaces and turns into Cardenas, digging his right elbow into the top of Cardenas's left elbow before swinging under quickly to reverse into a wristlock of his own. Cardenas rolls forward and spins on his left shoulder, catching Cade's left arm between his legs, as he rises to a stand and now has reversed into a wristlock of his own again. Mark Perletta: Looks like Diego de Cardenas has the upper-hand, for now, in this showing of technical skill. Joey C: What a feather in the cap for this young man if he could beat Cade Sydal. Cade twists toward Cardenas and reaches his right arm under Cardenas's left elbow this time and turns into Cardenas, twisting right under and reversing into a hammerlock. Cardenas quickly reaches his arm back and grabs Cade's head and swings into a headlock for the reversal, but Cade is quick to send Cardenas off the ropes. Cardenas rebounds and knocks Cade off his feet with a shoulder tackle! Jack runs straight for the ropes again and Cade quickly springs to his feet and leapfrogs Cardenas, and Cardenas rebounds off the ropes and looks to go for a chop block as he dives low! Cade catches a quick glance over his shoulder and quickly leaps upward, tucking his legs, he back flips to land on his feet as Cardenas skids to a stop on his knees! Mark Perletta: Cade Sydal just lured Cardenas into working his far quicker pace, and Cardenas looks to be a little lost now. Joey C: That’s bad news for Diego. Cardenas gets to his feet and turns around only to have Cade grab him by the wrist and start to Irish Whip him, but Cade slides through Cardenas's legs, forcing him to tumble over, and Cade hooks under Cardenas's knees and bridges with a pin attempt! ONE! TWO! Cardenas kicks out and Cade quickly turns and catches him off-guard with the hook of the head and leg, snapping back and bridging with a perfect fisherman suplex like the late great Curt Hennig! Mark Perletta: Cade can taste that Sky High Cup! ONE! TWO! Cardenas kicks out but Cade is persistent, sending him into the corner! Cardenas reverses the whip attempt, and comes charging in, but Cade grabs the top rope as he nears the corner and launches his body upward, twisting his body to catch Cardenas as he narrowly avoids the flailing legs, right into a sunset flip! ONE! TWO NO! Cardenas kicks out and Cade rolls backward to his feet as Cardenas explodes off of his knees with a clothesline that sends Cade to the canvas hard! Cardenas drops to make the cover and hooks the leg deep before Cade can recover. Mark Perletta: Diego de Cardenas is taking any opportunity to win. ONE! TWO! Joey C: Damn skippy. Cade kicks out quickly and holds his chin. Cardenas pulls Cade up by the hair and sends him quickly into the ropes, but Cade holds on to the top rope with both arms. Cardenas rushes at Cade and Cade ducks down to launch Cardenas over the rope, but Cardenas grabs the top rope and floats himself onto the apron. Before Cade can turn around, Cardenas grabs him by the forehead from behind and drops off the apron, snapping the back of Cade's neck across the top rope, and Cade snaps immediately onto the canvas, face first. Mark Perletta: I think we found our answer earlier as to who's going to break that technical wrestling trend. Joey C: What are you talking about, that move was perfectly technical? Cardenas gets onto the apron and quickly springboards to the top rope and off, turning in mid-air to drop the leg across the back of Cade's head! Cade clutches his head as Cardenas slides right off, arms out wide! Cardenas rolls Cade over quickly and presses his elbow into Cade's cheek to make the cover. ONE! TWO! Cade kicks out hard! Mark Perletta: Cade Sydal isn't going to stay down that easily, not tonight! Joey C: How often do you say that, though? Quite a lot, I think. Cardenas looks down at Cade and pulls him to his feet quickly, hooking him in a front facelock. Cardenas snaps Cade up and holds him completely vertical, until Cade starts kicking his legs and swings back down and through with a small package! ONE! TWO! Cardenas kicks out and as Cade tries to get to his feet, rushes behind Cade and yanks him up with a full nelson and snaps back with a Dragon Suplex, bridging for the pin! ONE! TWO! Cade barely kicks out and clutches his neck! Mark Perletta: That could've been it for either man just now! Joey C: But Cardenas recovered from the surprise maneuver and fucked Cade up hard, Mark. Diego now goes to the top rope as he shimmies his shoulders as the crowd chants “Eddie” once again. Diego took too long though. Cade kicks the legs out of Diego as Cade goes up. TOP ROPE SUPERPLEX as both guys are down! Mark Perletta: This can’t end in a double KO! Cade barely gets his arm onto the chest of Diego. ONE! TWO! Diego gets a shoulder up. Cade grabs Diego in a reverse face lock… going for the Night Cap! Cade “rolls the dice” but Diego incredibly counters out of it and grabs of legs of Cade and applies the Sharpshooter! Mark Perletta: Diego wanted no part of that Night Cap! Joey C: Can he make Cade Sydal tap out?!?!? Diego applies the Sharpshooter but Cade won’t tap! He’s grabbing the ends of his hair in pure agony. Cade gets to the ropes though! Diego has to no choice but to release the hold. Diego grabs Cade by the head… going for that Tornado DDT but Cade counters it into a Northern Lights BOMB! Diego is stunned and he’s WOOZY as hell as he stumbles onto the awaiting arms of Cade who hops onto the 2nd turnbuckle in a reverse face lock… he ROLLS THE DICE! NIGHT CAP! ONE! TWO! THREE! Winner of Sky High Cup 3 by PINFALL : Mark Perletta: And he does it! Cade Sydal won the Sky High Cup! Joey C: What a great GREAT match from not only these two competitors, but also from the other six who competed in the first half of the Sky High Cup matches! What a way to open the show! The fans pop HARD as the Sky High Cup is brought in. A ring attendant hands it to the referee who brings it to the middle of the ring where Cade Sydal graciously accepts the Sky High Cup and then hoists it high above his head, getting another big pop from the fans in attendance. Mark Perletta: Well there you have it folks, Cade Sydal, former SHOOT Project World Heavyweight Champion, becomes the third ever winner of the Sky High Cup. Joey C: I have to be real honest, Marky, I'm really disappointed that no one from the LEGACY Tour stepped up to win this thing. It's basically egg on our collective faces that someone from another organization, SHOOT Project of all places, came in here and won one of our accolades. Mark Perletta: I'm not a huge fan of the idea, either, but give credit to where credit is due. Cade Sydal is a fantastic talent, he's probably not given ENOUGH credit for how good he is, and when the front office invited him to take part in this, a lot of us knew that he was the favorite to win the Cup. Joey C: I guess it could be worse, though, Jun Kenshin or Mike Dexter could've won it. Mark Perletta: Anyway... congratulations to Cade Sydal, and best of luck to him in the future, I hope we see him in a LEGACY Tour ring again. Jen X: Our next match is scheduled for one fall. Tim Jones vs John Page
As "Heartbreaker" by Led Zeppelin starts to play, a single spotlight shines down on the entrance stage, just in front of the curtain, and out from the back steps John Page, dressed in brown ring gear tight pants with black around the waist and running down the side of each leg. Looking out over the booing crowd, Page shakes his head in disgust before he slowly starts to walk down the isle. Mark Perletta: Down to the ring walks "Pretty Boy" John Page, and it's plain to see that these fans aren't too fond of the former World Television Title holder. Joey C: These fans are idiots! They don't like John Page because of three main reasons: 1) because he's friends with the World Champion, Marcus Marion, a guy they fail to see as the future of this busines, 2) because he's trying to teach them a little bit about etiquette as to help better their pathetic lives and help them advance their place in society, and 3) because he turned his back on Tim Jones when he realized that The Ladies Man had gone soft! Mark Perletta: You make it sound like they just stopped being friends, Joey, like they had some philosophical differences. John Page was part of a plot to permanently put Tim Jones out of this business, and he and the rest of the members of High Society at the time nearly did just that! Now... oh and it looks like Tim Jones isn't going to wait to get things started! Joey C: What the...? Tim Jones runs out from the back before John Page gets to the bottom of the ramp and he nails him in the back with a running forearm, huge momentum as he flew down the ramp. Page gets knocked down to the ground and Tim Jones starts laying into him with punches and kicks, really laying into his former tag team partner. When Page is able to get to his back and he gets his arms and legs in front of him to block the blows from The Ladies Man, Tim reaches down and pulls Page up to his feet. Grabbing John by the arm, Tim takes a step to the side and then backwards and goes for an irish whip but before he can let go, Page shifts his momentum and instead throws Tim Jones in an irish whip back first right into the steel steps! Jones crashes through them, splitting them into their two parts, and Page steps in and starts laying into The Ladies Man. Picking Jones up to his feet, he gets behind The Ladies Man and shoves him shoulder first into the corner post, sending Tim Jones down to the arena floor. Mark Perletta: Tim Jones couldn't wait for this match to get started, he tried to ambush John Page, and that seems to have backfired on him, as now Page is in control. Joey C: Look at John Page just send boots into the shoulder of Tim Jones, really working him over, one after another after another! It's beautiful! Mark Perletta: Well the fans obviously don't share that same point of view. Joey C: And I didn't expect them to, not one bit, and I don't think their reaction is a surprise to John Page either, although he's still not happy about it. Page picks The Ladies Man up off the arena floor and throws his knee into Tim's gut, doubling him over. Ducking in underneath and grabbing Tim around the waist, John lifts him up into an inverted atomic drop position, and then rams him right into the ring post in the shoulder that he's been working over. Letting Jones go, he grabs him by the head once he's on his feet and he throws him into the ring under the bottom rope. Mark Perletta: Now that both competitors are in the ring the referee calls for the opening bell and this match can officially start, but I'm afraid too much damage has been done to Tim Jones already. Joey C: He's the one who couldn't wait to get this thing started, not John Page! He was just defending himself! It's not his fault that this thing didn't get started in the ring! That was ALL the Ladies Man's fault! Mark Perletta: Irregardless, the action is in the ring now, and John Page is still in control. After a few hard right hands, Page sends Jones into the corner hard shoulder first with an irish whip. Joey C: Did you hear that impact? It's no wonder that Tim Jones is back down on the mat! Page pulls Jones up by his hair ignoring the reprimand of the ref as he goes for a suplex, but Jones reverses it into an inside cradle pin attempt. ONE! TWO!! KICK OUT!!! Jones gets up to his feet and steps back into the corner to catch his breath and as Page gets to his feet Jones runs out of the corner going for a bulldog attempt, but Page catches him and delivers a sidewalk slam. Page grabs Jones leg and drops an elbow to the inside of the knee. He then picks Jones up and delivers a knee breaker. Page goes for a second knee breaker, but Jones punches him in the face and spins around and hits an enziguri out of desperation. Mark Perletta: Both men are down and the ref starting the ten count. Joey C: Page is just playing possum. Any minute now he's going to spring right up and continue the beat down of Tim Jones. Mark Perletta: Yeah, that kick to the head has nothing to do with why he is face down on the mat. As the ref counts to six Page and Jones use the ropes to pull themselves up to their feet on opposite sides of the ring. Both men charge each other going for clotheslines and collide in the center of the ring. Jones sits up and shakes his head, clearing out the cobwebs, then lays back down onto the mat and kips up to his feet taking a step back. As Page gets to his feet, The Ladies Man runs in for a clothesline, but John ducks under it and rebounds off the ropes with a spinning back elbow. Page pulls Jones to his feet and goes to whip him into the corner, but Jones reverses it sending Page into the corner. As Page stumbles out of the corner Tim Jones sends him up and over with a back body drop. John Page slowly starts to get to his feet, so Tim Jones runs towards the opposite ropes, and on the return levels John Page with a flying forearm! Sensing an opportunity, Jones then climbs the ropes and dives through the air going for an elbow drop but Page rolls out of the way causing Jones to crash down hard onto the mat. Mark Perletta: Something tells me this about to get ugly. Joey C: This started out ugly, and now it’s only getting worse. Page slides out of the ring and starts walking around, looking to recover a bit more, but wanting to keep in on the offensive, Tim Jones runs and dives through the ropes spearing Page into the guard rail. Jones gets to his feet and picks his opponent up off the ground and, taking him by the head, goes to slam Page’s forehead into the guardrail, but Page flips Jones over the rail into the crowd. Page shoves a fan out of the way, grabs a chair and slams it into the back of Jones' head before grabbing him and dragging him over the guardrail and tossing him back in the ring. Page sets Tim Jones up in the corner, keeping him there after a sick european uppercut before draping his arms across each of the top ropes which converge there, and then he backs up towards the center of the ring. John then charges in, but Tim Jones takes three steps out of the corner and then delivers a drop-toe-hold causing Page to go face first into the bottom turnbuckle. Mark Perletta: The founders of Team Handsome are about as far from being a team now as they've ever been, taking it to one another. Joey C: My money is still on John Page. Sensing that the end is near, Tim Jones crouches, waiting for Page to get up. The excitement amongst the fans grows as they know what's coming. As Page gets to his feet, and Jones shoots forward with the SNAFU superkick, but Page ducks under it and spins Jones around giving him a kick to the gut which he quickly follows with a cradle piledriver, his finisher he calls the Paper Cut. Page drops and hooks the leg as the ref makes the count. ONE! TWO!! Page puts his feet on the ropes for added leverage but the referee doesn't see it... THREE!!! Winner by PINFALL : John Page Page quickly gets up demanding that the ref raise his hand, and as he does Page looks down at his fallen opponent in disgust, still out from the piledriver, and then he makes his way out of the ring and walks up the entrance ramp, not giving Tim Jones another thought, nor paying any attention to the booing fans who line the isles. Mark Perletta: After all the time and effort that Tim Jones spent trying to get back at John Page, I can't believe he couldn't pull out the win here tonight. Joey C: I guess he just didn't put in ENOUGH time or effort. Mark Perletta: Well ever since coming back from his injury a few months ago, we've seen a lot of good things from John Page, so I guess I shouldn't be TOO surprised that he won this match, I guess I just hoped things would go differently. Joey C: Well they didn't, so let's just move on before you just continue complaining about how "The Ladies Man" just couldn't get the job done. We've got a great match coming up next that could speak volumes about who the next contenders will be to the tag team titles. Mark Perletta: Let's do just that, then. Up next we've got the team of Jake Dominion and Eric Wolfson taking on John Thomas and Loco Martinez, and this thing got started when John Thomas took on Nicholas Creed with the World Television Title on the line. Eric Wolfson made a comment backstage about John's loss to Wolfson's client, and he didn't take it well. Joey C: He should've just left well enough alone, because if I recall correctly, John Thomas ended up on the wrong end of a superkick by Jake Dominion, the price he paid for shoving Jake, which is something that you just don't do. Mark Perletta: Well John Thomas made the challenge to Wolfson and Dominion for a tag match, and for those of you who didn't witness it, when Loco Martinez showed up for that match, the crowd went crazy. Joey C: Obviously an unfair match, Wolfson and Dominion decided it would be more fair to have a rematch, so that's why the match is happening here tonight, giving everyone an even playing field. Mark Perletta: Lets not forget about the fact that Eric Wolfson and Loco Martinez got into the ring with one another over a week ago, a match between two Hall of Famers that Loco Martinez ended up winning. Jen X: Our next match up is scheduled for one fall and is a tag team contest.... John Thomas & Loco Martinez
vs Eric Wolfson & Jake Dominion Jen X: Introducing first... weighing in at a combined 491 pounds... they are the OLD SCHOOL KINGS... Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion!!! The sound system rings in with "Blood of Heroes" by Megadeath, and out from the back walks Jake Dominion, wearing sunglasses and completely ignoring the fans who are booing he and Eric Wolfson, who follows right behind Dominion. The entire way to the ring, neither man gives a bit of attention to the crowd. Mark Perletta: On their way to the ring, Dominion and Wolfson look incredibly confident, and it doesn't look like they're worried at all about the fact that last time they got into the ring with John Thomas and Loco Martinez they came out of it on the losing side. Joey C: Yeah, they lost the match, but they didn't lose to Thomas and Martinez. They walked out on the match. They weren't given a fair shot at an even match, they didn't know who John Thomas' partner was going into that match, and as good a tag team as Dominion and Wolfson can be, with their first match back after a couple years off, for them to have to go into a match and not be able to prepare for it... you can't ask that kind of thing from anyone. Mark Perletta: Well they've had plenty of time to prepare for this match, so I don't want to hear any excuses after tonight if they don't win this match. Joey C: Oh they won't need any excuses. As Dominion and Wolfson wait in the ring, disgusted looks on their faces as they anticipate the reaction from the fans. As the first song ends, the excitement within the arena starts to build as the fans eagerly await the next two to come out from the back. Jen X: And their opponents... Suddenly "Lust for Life" by Iggy Pop rings in, and the fans start cheering, knowing who is coming out next. Jen X: Weighing in at a combined 431 pounds... John Thomas and Loco Martinez!!! As John Thomas comes out from the back, walking slowly out of the curtain, the volume of the reaction increases significantly, and then suddenly Loco Martinez runs out from the back and leap-frog's over John Thomas, landing on the ramp in front of him, and as he does, the fans go completely crazy. Mark Perletta: And a huge reaction from the fans that I think we all knew was coming, the fans absolutely loving both John Thomas and Loco Martinez. Joey C: How much are they going to love them after Dominion and Wolfson put them on their backs in this match? As John Thomas and Loco Martinez each walk down adjoining sides of the ring apron, and then both of them spring up and over the top rope, entering the ring, and then they each pick a corner and climb up up the turnbuckles, getting another pop out of the crowd, but suddenly Wolfson and Dominion rush in and each grab one of their opponents, pulling them down off the turnbuckles and laying into them with punches. Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion taking it to John Thomas and Eric Wolfson laying into the man who defeated him a couple weeks ago on the other side of the ring. Taking John Thomas by the arm, Dominion irish whips John into one of the empty corners and then Jake runs over and nails Loco Martinez in the back with a double ax-handle. John sees the double team and he makes his way over to help his partner out, but before he gets there Jake Dominion pulls Loco away and starts working him over and Eric Wolfson meets John Thomas face to face and the two start trading punches. Joey C: Oh good move there by Jake Dominion, as he just threw Loco Martinez out of the ring over the top rope, and now once again Wolfson and Dominion have a double team on their opponents! Mark Perletta: That they do, and John Thomas was starting to get advantage of the situation between he and Wolfson, but not anymore, not now that he's trying to fend off the attack from two men instead of just one. Joey C: Dominion and Wolfson absolutely pounding down on John Thomas, who is struggling to stay up on one knee, and it looks like that's not going to happen as a standing elbow drop from Jake Dominion flattens Thomas down to the mat. Mark Perletta: Things looking good for the Old School Kings, but they forgot about Loco Martinez who just got back up onto the apron... He HOPS UP ONTO THE ROPES... Dominion and Wolfson turn to see what the excited response from the crowd is from... SPLIT-LEGGED DROPKICK by LOCO MARTINEZ!!! HE FLATTENS BOTH MEN DOWN TO THE MAT!! Mark Perletta: Oh my, what a move to get his team back into this match! These fans are going wild! The referee finally getting some order here and he gets John Thomas and Eric Wolfson to exit the ring to their respective corners. Joey C: The damage has been done here early to John Thomas, who, out of everyone, took the worst of it. Mark Perletta: That he did, but even now as Dominion and Loco lock up in the middle of the ring, John Thomas is shaking the cobwebs on the outside, and if there's something we know about this guy, it's that he's durable, and he's got a ton of stamina, so I don't think we've seen the last of John Thomas in tonight's match. Jake Dominion blocks one of Loco's punches and sends him into the ropes with an irish whip, but on the return Loco slides on the mat going between Dominion's legs, grabbing one of them in the process and then hopping back up to his feet, and once on his feet Loco twists to the side, spins, and drops to the mat, taking Dominion down with him into that twisting modified dragon whip. Mark Perletta: Loco Martinez with an interesting reversal and takedown there, and to be honest, I'm not even sure what to call that move. He follows it up with a diving elbow drop to the back, and then he wrenches in with a headlock. Joey C: Nice little rest hold here by Loco Martinez. Mark Perletta: Oh trust me, Loco's only slowing down the pace of this match until John Thomas is ready to get things started again. He's just giving his partner a much needed rest and recovery, that's all. Slowly Jake Dominion starts to work his way back up to his feet, and as he does he backs up into the ropes, then shoves forwards, sending Loco running towards the opposite ropes. Just as Loco hits the other ropes, Dominion leans in and goes for his Superkick, but luckily for Loco he had reached back and held on to the top rope, stopping his momentum, totally avoiding the kick. Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion looking to end this match as quickly as possible, and had he connected on that kick, he would've done just that. Backing up, Dominion tags in Eric Wolfson, but instead of leaving the ring, Jake runs over and attacks Loco, sending a barrage of fists into him, then irish whipping him towards Eric Wolfson, who dives forwards and rolls himself into Loco's knee, taking him out with a chop-block type move. Joey C: Oh and here comes another double-team from the Old School Kings. Mark Perletta: Not if John Thomas can help it! When John reaches his opponents, he starts pummelling Jake Dominion with forearm shots and right hands, then grabs him by the back of the head and throws him over the top rope, then hops over the top rope and down to the floor. On the outside, John Thomas grabs Dominion by the head and then shoves him shoulder first into the ring steps, then returns to his corner at the prompting of the referee. Joey C: John Thomas only THINKS he helped Loco Martinez, but what he didn't realize is that while he was outside roughing up Jake Dominion and the referee was trying to restore order, Eric Wolfson would just keep things in control inside the ring. Grabbing Loco by both of his arms, Eric picks him up, sets him up into
a double underhook position, winks at the camera, and then hits a double-arm
ddt, then gets up and stands over Loco, smirking. The crowd is letting
him have it, but Eric just shrugs it off and buries a stiff kick ot
the ribs of Loco. He scoops Loco up to his feet and immediately takes
him down with a snap suplex, then he floats over for the pinfall attempt... TWO!! THR...NO!!! Loco shoulders out at two and a half. Wolfson goes to drag Loco up by his hair, but Loco slumps down to mat exaustedly. Wolfson chuckles. He tries again, and again Loco just collapses under his own weight. Mark Perletta: I can't remember seeing Loco this run down before. Joey C: You forgot about the last TWO Rise of the Elites? Wolfson again shakes his head, and this time leans down and scoops up Loco using Loco's head and shoulder, Loco drops to a knee and then stands with shakey legs. Wolfson pats Loco on the head in a patronizing fashion and then turns his back, Loco snaps his head up with an evil grin. Mark Perletta: He was playing possum! Loco grabs Wolfson's wrist and spins him around, while Loco drop steps and leans back.... Joey C: DUCK ERIC! Mark Perletta: LOCAPITATOR! Loco's short arm superkick rocks Wolfson's jaw. Wolfson falls in a
heap, and Loco hops on to make a cover. The crowd on its feet roaring. TWO!! THR...NO!!!! Mark Perletta: Wolfson kicked out! Loco slaps the mat in frustration, but hops up and scurries to the corner, he looks behind him, and jumps to the top rope in one fluid motion and launches himself backwards. Mark Perletta: Moonsault! Eric Wolfson rolls out of the way, and Loco crashes down to the mat. Loco writhes in pain as Wolfson gets to his feet. He stumbles to his corner and tags Dominion in, who just returned to the apron. Dominion steps in and sizes up Loco who struggles to get up. As soon as Loco gets his vertical base Jake takes off and turns Loco inside out with a stiff as hell clothesline. With Loco down on the mat, Jake drops a couple quick elbows. Joey C: Nice work there by Jake Dominion, and now he's bringing Loco to his feet... Mark Perletta: Jawbreaker by Loco Martinez! Joey C: That guy is crazy! One minute he's laid out on the mat, the next he's back in the match! Mark Perletta: Dominion isn't going to just roll over and die, though. Grabbing Loco by the arm, he sends him hard into the corner with an irish whip... he follows him in... AND LOCO MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND DOMINION HITS THE CORNER HARD!! Loco spins Dominion around and sends a series of hard chops into Jake's chest, after each and every one of them the crowd "WOOOOO"ing. Another chop, and Loco back Jake into the ropes. Irish whip sends Dominion off the ropes. Loco leaps and nails a drop kick. Loco makes a quick cover: ONE... TWO... NO! Joey C: You're not putting Jake Dominion down with a dropkick. Mark Perletta: You never know. If your opponent isn't ready, you can get the win. Think of any inside cradle or schoolboy that we've seen win matches. Joey C: Yeah, but those putzes that get rolled up AREN'T Jake Dominion. Perletta sighs into his headset, in the ring Loco has gotten Jake to his feet, and walks him over to his corner. He drops a couple quick shoulders and then tags John Thomas in, and points to the ceiling. John smiles and nods and both men grab an arm, Loco left, John right, and then scale the ropes. They get to the top rope on either side of the turnbuckle and look out over the crowd who knows what's coming. John and Loco and the entire Crowd: NEW SCHOOL! The two drop delivering a legdrop to either side of Dominion's neck, connecting with which sends him crashing face first into the mat. Mark Perletta: Double New School by Martinez and Thomas! Eric Wolfson gets into the ring to keep a double-team from starting, and the referee yells at Wolfson and Loco to get them to leave the ring, taking it back to a one-on-one. As soon as Dominion starts to get back to his feet, Thomas grabs him by the arm and he yanks down hard on it. And then he yanks down again. John then locks him into a standing armbar, then twists around into a hammerlock, and from there John picks Dominion up onto his shoulder, then drops him into a shoulderbreaker. Mark Perletta: John Thomas working over the shoulder of Jake Dominion, and he might be trying to go for it. He and Loco already hit the NEW SCHOOL, so now I guess there's only one thing left. With Dominion on the mat, John Thomas stands over him and repeatedly starts stomping down on Dominion's shoulder, and then he backs up and waits. When Jake Dominion gets up to his feet, John Thomas steps in from behind him and locks on the Crossface Chicken Wing, and the crowd erupts! Dominion flails around, trying to break free, and suddenly Dominion springs his feet up and he hits the turnbuckle, and then he tries to take Thomas back like Kenshin did weeks ago, but to avoid it, John switches his grip slightly and turns it into a full nelson suplex , putting Dominion onto his shoulders into a pinfall attempt... ONE! TWO!! NO!!! Eric Wolfson into the ring and he shoves JT over and the referee yells, but Loco gets into the ring and takes Wolfson down. Once again the referee restores order, with John Thomas helping him remove Wolfson. Once it's back to a one-on-one, John Thomas turns back towards the middle of the ring to find Jake Dominion, and as he does he's taken off his feet, caught in the jaw with a superkick from Jake Dominion, who gets a huge, proud grin on his face after having dropped JT with his signature kick. Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion hitting that kick and completely turning this match around in his team's favor. Taking John by the arm, Dominion drags his opponent over towards his corner, and then tags in Eric Wolfson. Joey C: Wolfson climbs up the turnbuckle on the outside and sits down on the top rope, putting his feet on the second rope, and then he hops down into the ring, driving a fist into John Thomas' face down on the mat! Getting up off the mat, Wolfson grins as he looks down at John, then picks him up off the mat, takes him by the head and moves towards the center of the ring... and then suddenly he throws him into his corner RIGHT INTO LOCO MARTINEZ, KNOCKING HIM OFF THE APRON! The referee signals that a tag has been made, and so Eric Wolfson runs and slides underneath the bottom rope and he grabs Loco by the head, knocks him into the corner ringpost, then slides him into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Mark Perletta: Clever move there by Eric Wolfson, not only wearing down John Thomas, but now he's got the advantage over Loco Martinez, taking away the potential for a "hot tag". Joey C: I'm telling you, these two know what they're doing in tag team matches! Wolfson gets back into the ring and picks up Loco Martinez and irish whips him hard into the corner. Wolfson slowly walks in, but when he gets there, Loco uses his arms balanced across the top rope to spring himself up into the air and right into Wolfson, kicking him in the gut and doubling him over. Grabbing him by the legs, Loco pulls backwards and sends Eric down to the mat on his back, and pulling Wolfson's legs apart wide, Loco hops up and lands a double-leg-drop to the groin. Loco gets up and looks over towards the corner, but as he hops up onto the top rope to hit the Happiness split-legged moonsault, he's IMMEDIATELY grabbed by the head and whipped back down to the mat by Jake Dominion on the outside! Mark Perletta: Loco Martinez nearly had the win there before Jake Dominion intervened, and you can hear it in their reactions, the fans are none too happy about it. Joey C: Like I've said a million times, who cares about the fans? Eric Wolfson slowly gets to his feet, his groin hurting from the move he just got hit with, he picks Loco up off the mat and slams a fist into the side of his head. Then another. THEN ANOTHER!! Picking him up off the mat again, Eric drags Loco over towards the corner where Jake Dominion awaits, and after locking Loco in underneath his arm, he tags in Dominion, who doesn't get into the ring, but rather he starts climbing the turnbuckle. Wolfson lifts Loco up off the mat into a suplex position... BRAINBUSTER!!! Wolfson moves out of the way and immediately Jake Dominion FLIES off the top rope, hitting a Frog Splash with a decent amount of hang-time... RULE OF DOMINION!!! Dominion stays on top of Loco for the pinfall attempt and Wolfson runs over and knocks John Thomas off the apron... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winners by PINFALL : Jake Dominion stands up and Eric Wolfson joins him in the middle of the ring and a chorus of boos rings out as the referee reluctantly raises both of their hands in victory, and after he lets go, the ref checks on Loco Martinez as Dominion and Wolfson walk over and step out onto the apron and then head back up the entrance ramp. Mark Perletta: I've got to admit it, I didn't think there was any way that Loco Martinez and John Thomas were going to lose this match, so honestly... this is a disappointing moment for me... I'm just... I'm shocked. Joey C: I've been trying to tell people all along just how good Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion are as a tag team, but who has been listening? Basically NO ONE, that's who. But now... now people need to listen to me and listen well when I say this: The Old School Kings are THE FUTURE of Tag Team Wrestling here on the LEGACY Tour. Mark my words, they WILL BE the World Tag Team Champions, it's only a matter of time. Mark Perletta: Well, with how I saw them compete here tonight, especially there at the end of that match, I don't doubt they could be. Joey C: Jake Dominion is PURE TALENT, and Eric Wolfson is without a doubt one of our industry's top ten best OF ALL TIME. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if, because of the guidance of Eric Wolfson, Nicholas Creed wins this next match. Mark Perletta: Well if he does, it will be quite an accomplishment, simply because Cronos Diamante and Voodoo are SUCH great talents that getting a win over either one of them would be tough enough... but to have both of them in the same match... Joey C: And let's not forget how brutal this next match is going to be. No disqualification, falls count anywhere? Given what we've seen from these three in the past two months.... this one's going to tear the house down. Literally. Jen X: Our next match up is a No Disqualification, No Count Out match scheduled for one fall which may occur ANYWHERE inside the building or out... FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH
Cronos Diamante vs VooDoo vs Creed "Passive" by A Perfect Circle hits the speakers and out from the back walks Nicholas Creed, looking completely calm, a determined look on his face as he slowly makes his way down to the ring. Once at the bottom of the entrance ramp, he hops back up onto the apron and then enters the ring. Mark Perletta: Well folks, even though this one can be decided anywhere inside OR outside of the arena, it must start in the ring. Joey C: I have a feeling it won't be ending in the ring, though. Mark Perletta: I think you might be right, given the history of the battles between these three in the past two months. For such a huge match, probably the biggest match of his career thus far, I would expect Creed to look more nervous than he does. Joey C: Well he sure as hell didn't look nervous when he took on John Thomas for the World Television Title, and that was probably the last time he had a big match, but these guys are veterans, near Hall of Famers. Creed has held his own thus far against them, let's see if it continues, or if Voodoo or Cronos can end up on top of this one. The lights dim and green spotlights shine up through the entrance ramp as "Immortal" by Adema plays over the speakers, and out from the back walks a dark figure who you can barely see through the dimmed lights. As he passes over each of the green spotlights, you can see the jersey... and the sadistic grin. When he gets to the ring, the lights slowly start to fade up and we see Voodoo now in full for the first time, remaining outside the ring to keep Creed in his sights and not have to worry about getting attacked before the opening bell. Mark Perletta: He might be the smallest of the three men about to do battle in this match, but he's just as tough and just as dangerous as either Creed or Cronos Diamante. Joey C: That he is, and although you'd think that brawling around the arena would benefit the bigger guys, consider the fact that the smaller Voodoo is a lot more durable than those two are, something I realized when I did my research and saw some of his better matches from back in AODWF. Mark Perletta: We'll have to see just HOW durable Voodoo is, because I have a good feeling that this match is going to force him to be. White strobe lights start flashing all over the arena, making things look black and white as "Crashing Around You" by Machinehead starts to blare in, and Cronos Diamante makes his way out from the back, eyeing both of his opponents as he descends the entrance ramp. Once he gets to the ring, he nods towards the ring while looking at Voodoo, and then the both of them get up onto the apron and head into the ring. Creed keeps switching back and forth, trying to watch both men, but as they enter the ring, each of the three men remain in their respective corners. Mark Perletta: You can feel the tension rising as these three wait for this opening bell to ring, and it's funny to think about it, but things haven't been this calm with these three in this close proximity since the LEGACY Tour started. Joey C: Just the calm before the storm, Marky, just the calm before the storm. As the opening bell rings Voodoo and Cronos immediately run at one another and meet up, and right away they start trading punches. In another corner, Nicholas Creed stands and watches as his two opponents completely ignore him, deciding instead to just battle it out with one another. Creed stretches out his arms, legs, back and neck, but as they continue to just beat the hell out of each other, Creed gets angry and runs over and tries to go after Cronos, but as he does so Voodoo breaks away and knocks SIN back. Mark Perletta: Voodoo and Cronos going at it, and it seems like Voodoo wants it that way, at least early on here in the match. Joey C: Like an idiot, Creed isn't happy with that idea, and now he tries to go for Voodoo... and this time it's Cronos who breaks free and knocks him away. Mark Perletta: Visibly pissed off, Creed comes in and tries to grab both men to knock their heads together, but both Voodoo and Cronos reach up and block one another's heads, and then they turn and both punch Creed, knocking him down and then they return to brawling it out against one another. Voodoo gets the first big advantage in this match by blocking a left hand by Cronos, and then he leaps up into the air and nails Cronos with dropkick that knocks him back. Voodoo then runs straight at Cronos and dropkicks him in the legs, dropping him down to the mat. Picking Cronos up to his feet, Voodoo lifts him up and nails an inverted atomic drop, then backs him into the corner hard back first. Mark Perletta: Voodoo lifts Cronos up off of his feet and forces him to stradle the middle turnbuckle by placing one of Cronos' legs over each of the ropes. Backing up towards the middle of the ring, Voodoo sizes Cronos up and then charges in... Joey C: And Nicholas Creed takes him out with a clothesline! Mark Perletta: Voodoo didn't even see him coming, and I bet after that, Voodoo won't be ignoring him anymore tonight! Creed pulls Voodoo to his feet and lays into him with a right hand, but that doesn't keep Voodoo down, as he gets up to his feet and nails Creed in the gut with a punch, and then a forearm shot, then another, and then a knee to the midsection, doubling Creed over. Mark Perletta: Rapid-fire shots there by Voodoo, and I don't think Creed was expecting him to be that quick. Joey C: I'm not sure I'd expect ANYONE to be that quick! Taking Creed by the arm, Voodoo irish whips him into the corner opposite Cronos, then he runs in and puts one foot in Creed's midsection, steps up and kicks Creed in the jaw, then plants his foot on his shoulder and does a backflip towards the middle of the ring. Mark Perletta: Nice move there by Voodoo but Cronos charging in from behind... Joey C: Clothesline to the back of the head by Cronos and Voodoo's down! As Cronos starts to stomp on Voodoo, Creed steps in and rocks him back with a right hand, then a left, then as Cronos steps in, Creed ducks a haymaker attempt and then grabs Cronos around the waist and takes him up and over with a belly to belly suplex. After doing a quick assessment of the scene, Creed stomps down on Cronos and then picks him up and throws him over the top rope. Mark Perletta: Creed clearning the ring and finding himself alone with Voodoo, now, narrowing his focus, if only temporarily. Joey C: Oh you can bet that Cronos Diamante isn't just going to stand around and let those two fight it out. He's not that type of guy, he doesn't do "MERCY". Mark Perletta: Well for the time being Cronos is trying to recover on the outside, and Nicholas Creed is taking it to Voodoo inside the ring. Picking him up to his feet, Creed then irish whips Voodoo into the corner hard, Charles hitting back first and dropping down to his knees. Joey C: He's not done yet, though, and he picks Voodoo up by the arm... he takes a few steps backwards... and ANOTHER irish whip into the opposite corner, and again Voodoo hits hard, but this time his arms fall across the top ropes, holding him up. Creed doesn't waste any time now as he heads into the corner and he steps up onto the second ropes, straddling Voodoo, and then he just starts laying fists into the face of Voodoo. The crowd counts along with him, but when he gets to ten, the crowd stops chanting, but Creed doesn't stop punching Voodoo... nor does he need to. Mark Perletta: Creed taking advantage of the NO DISQUALIFICATION rules, and he doesn't HAVE to stop punching Voodoo... Joey C: No, but he's about to... Mark Perletta: Creed doesn't see Cronos get up onto the apron... Cronos grabs him by the throat and pulls him over the top rope and they both fall down to the floor, Creed getting the brunt of it as he hits the edge of the ring apron on the way down!! Cronos is slow to get to his feet, though not as slow as Creed, who is still laid out, holding his back on the arena floor. Cronos stands over top of Creed and grabs him by the throat, kneels down and starts choking the life out of him. Lifting Creed up off the ground, Cronos buries his head underneath Creed's arm and rams him full speed into the steel guardrail, then he backs up... charges in... and NAILS Creed with a flying clothesline sending BOTH men out into the crowd. Mark Perletta: See, now here's where this match is going to get interesting, because pinfalls CAN count out in the crowd... or near a merchandise stand... or on the entrance stage... anywhere. Joey C: Don't think that Voodoo is unaware of that fact... and spotting them go into the crowd from the ring, Voodoo looks like he's going to do something desperate!!! Mark Perletta: There he goes, Voodoo running into the ropes in the opposite direction of where Creed and Cronos are, gaining momentum... he charges in... HE'S HEADED IN THEIR DIRECTION... The fans all watch on in eager anticipation of what's about to happen... VOODOO JUMPS.... HE LANDS ON THE TOP ROPE.... HE BALANCES THERE FOR ONLY A MOMENT.... HE FLIES OFF THE TOP ROPE, USING THE SPRING TO PROPELL HIM OUTWARDS.... HE DOES A FLIP!!! HE NAILS CREED AND CRONOS!!! Joey C: Now THAT is an advantage to being the smallest guy in the match! Mark Perletta: From all the way in the ring, Voodoo leaped three rows deep into the crowd and nailed his opponents PERFECTLY, and the crowd is going ABSOLUTELY NUTS!! Joey C: I bet neither one of those three is going to be feeling very good tomorrow! Voodoo is the first of the three men to get to his feet, and as he returns to a vertical base, he looks around and then walks over to where Cronos is laid out on the ground and then he lays into Cronos, hitting a stomp right into the middle of his chest. Then another. Voodoo is so fixated on Cronos that he doesn't even notice as Creed gets back to his feet. Coming right up behind Voodoo, Creed shoves a nearby fan out of his chair, folds it up, and then slams it over the back of Voodoo. Mark Perletta: That puts a stop to the stomping on Cronos as Voodoo gets doubled over, and Creed then takes the chair and slams the top of it straight down into the ribs of Cronos Diamante before dropping it all together. Joey C: Creed turning his attention back to Voodoo, and this doesn't look good for him! Stretching out his arm and neck first, Creed then grabs Voodoo and lifts him up onto his shoulders, then steps back a step, then he takes three quick steps forwards and gorilla presses Voodoo forwards, sending him back about seven rows and knocking over some fans in the process! Mark Perletta: Creed with a HUGE display of strength by LAUNCHING Voodoo, and now he's turning his attention back to Cronos, and then he grabs him by the arm and lifts him to his feet and drags him down the isle, heading away from Voodoo, headed towards the area over near the entrance stage. Joey C: Creed sending Cronos hard into the steel guardrail, and then Cronos falls over the guardrail. Creed slowly makes his way over and then steps over the guardrail to continue working over Cronos. Just as Creed is about to lift Cronos up off the ground, a chair flies in out of the crowd, nailing Creed in the head. Creed shakes it off and then turns to look at the crowd where the chair came from, and suddenly Voodoo runs down the isle, steps up onto a chair he just set up... he steps up onto the steel guardrail... AND HE FLIES OFF AND DROPS CREED WITH A FLYING CLOTHESLINE!! Voodoo grabs him by the head, lifts him up, and then throws Cronos through the nearby curtain, sending him backstage through a large open portal through which the lights and ring. Voodoo then grabs Creed, lifts him up, then nails him with a hard right hand. Picking up the chair, Voodoo rams it into Creed's gut, then smashes it down over Creed's back, dropping him down to the arena floor. With all the strength he can muster, Voodoo lifts Creed up into a tilt-a-whirl, then swings it around into a Michinoku Driver. Mark Perletta: Voodoo seems to be absolutely spent after that one, but he IS able to hit a move he's used to win a number of matches, including one for a World Title... he just laid Creed out with THE CURSE!! Joey C: But he's in no position to make the pinfall attempt, so what good did it do? And where the hell did Cronos Diamante go?! Voodoo fights off his exhaustion and grabs Creed by the head and lifts him up and walks him over to a table setup over near the bottom of the entrance stage that has a lot of wires already on it. Charles picks Creed up and places him on the tables, and then he walks off, headed along the side of the entrance ramp before climbing up onto it. Slowly Voodoo makes his way up the ramp and once at the top, he walks to the edge of the entrance stage. Mark Perletta: Is he about to do what I think he's about to do?! Joey C: Oh I think he's going to... YES!! Voodoo leaps off the stage and comes crashing down on his back, landing right on top of Nicholas Creed... but the re-enforced table doesn't break! A "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!" chant breaks out all over the arena as those who can not see it up close watch it happen on the LEGACY Vision. Trying to get in a more comfortable position to help his back stop cramping up after the table didn't break, Voodoo rolls to the side, still remaining on the tables (two of which are side by side making it extra wide). Mark Perletta: I'm surprised that Creed and Voodoo aren't broken in half after those tables didn't break! Joey C: Those tables are the ones used for holding the electrical supplies and transformers. They're stronger than normal tables, it's no wonder they didn't break! Mark Perletta: The referee is standing by these two, but currently no one looks to be in any position to make a pinfall attempt... Oh wait a minute, through the entrance curtain... it's Cronos Diamante! He must have gone through the backstage area and up through the gorilla position! Joey C: With plenty of monitors back there, Cronos could've been watching this the whole time as he was making his way up here, and he could've come out at any time if a pinfall attempt was being made, and what a smart move, building up some reserve energy in hopes of being the one to finish off this match! Mark Perletta: He's taken a lot of abuse so far this match to those bruised ribs, but what exactly is he thinking of doing now? Walking towards the edge of the entrance stage... he's not.... he couldn't be thinking... Surely he saw that the tables didn't break the first time!! A sadistic grin on his face, Cronos backs up a step, his image repeated on the LEGACY Vision screen above him, and then he takes a few steps forwards... leaps into a frog splash type position... and CRASHES down through the table, taking Voodoo down with him! Joey C: I can't believe it! Creed rolled off the table as Cronos was falling down towards him! Now Cronos Diamante and Voodoo are laid out on the ground having crashed through that table, and Nicholas Creed avoided it! Mark Perletta: All three of them look physically spent, and after seeing everything they've gone through, I can surely understand why. The only one of the three who didn't go through the table, I'm not surprised that Nicholas Creed is the first of the three who starts to move... and I can hardly believe this... Nicholas Creed is trying to stand up. After getting up to his knees, Creed forces one of his legs underneath him, and then he grabs on to the supports of the entrance stage to help bring him back up to a vertical base. Turning and looking over, he sees both Cronos and Voodoo laid out on the ground, neither one of them moving very much. Slowly he walks over and looks down at them and he locks eyes with Cronos. As Cronos starts to twitch in an attempt to try to get up, Creed steps in and kicks Diamante hard in the sternum, keeping him down on the floor. A sick grin forms on Creed's face and he looks over at Voodoo. Reaching down, Creed grabs Voodoo by the arm and slowly forces him to return to his feet. Turning and looking over at Cronos, Creed spits down on Diamante and then turns back towards Voodoo and sends a hard rising knee right into Voodoo's face. Then another. Then another! THEN ANOTHER! Crimson bullets start to flow from Voodoo's nose and Creed takes some of the blood and wipes it across his bare chest, again looking down at Cronos. He then brings Voodoo back all the way up to his feet, turns him around, and then he locks him into a full nelson... he lifts him up... HE PIVOTS AROUND... Urinage slam... REIGN OF SIN! Dropping down to his knees, Creed makes the pinfall attempt on Voodoo... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winner by PINFALL : Nicholas Creed Nicholas Creed rises to his feet as the bell tolls in the distance, marking the end of the match. The referee raises Creed's hand as SIN looks down at Cronos Diamante, who looks frustrated and broken, and Creed then walks off through the portal, leaving Cronos and Voodoo both laid out on the arena floor. Mark Perletta: One hell of a match, and folks, I think we're going to have to take some time before the next match and get some EMT's out here to deal with Voodoo and Cronos. Joey C: All three of these men went through hell in this match. Each and every one of them. Mark Perletta: Cronos Diamante starting to stir, and it looks like he won't need to be taken off on a stretcher, though I still wonder about Voo... oh wait just a minute, what the hell is Cronos Diamante up to?! Walking over to his fallen opponent, Cronos reaches down and grabs Voodoo by the arm and helps lift him up to his feet and then steps back, giving Voodoo some room. Still doubled over a bit, Voodoo looks up at Cronos and the two lock eyes, the tension within the arena mounting significantly, wondering what's going to happen. Suddenly Cronos extends his hand towards Voodoo, who looks at the out-stretched hand and then up at Cronos. Sensing something in his eyes, Voodoo reaches out and shakes Cronos' hand. The connection lasts only about four seconds before Voodoo lets go, but the fans all over the arena start clapping as Cronos walks off through the portal, followed about ten steps behind by a nearly broken Voodoo. Mark Perletta: After everything that these two have been through in the past two months, I just... I don't understand where that handshake comes from. They were bitter rivals... BITTER rivals throughout every interaction... Joey C: But they're competitors who fiercely respect one another, Marky, and they used to be friends. Used to be. After a match like this, I don't think any of the three of these men wanted to get into an altercation with one another again for a while, and although neither of them won the match, both Voodoo and Cronos are proud of how tough they both fought... just don't expect either one of them to shake Creed's hand backstage. Mark Perletta: You know, I would bet against that happening, to be quite honest. The fact that Creed won this match is going to burn inside of both Voodoo and Cronos, but I think everyone got enough closure out of this one to just let things be from now on. Joey C: Well I tend to question whether or not that's going to be an option for our next match, where Chivalric, who has a history of not letting go of animosity after he's done with a heated match, will take on Gryffin Anselm for the National Championship belt. Mark Perletta: Both Anselm and Bishop are very proud competitors, and I'd wager a guess that no matter who wins this match, this won't be the last time we see these two meet in the ring. Joey C: What started out as a quest by Gryffin to take Chivalric's attention off of Greyson Blade has escallated into something far more personal, and I would guess that this match, although confined to the ring and its rules, might be almost as heated as the match we just witnessed. Mark Perletta: It should be a great contest, no doubt, so let's get down to the ring. Jen X: Our next match up is scheduled for one fall and is for the National Championship Belt!!! NATIONAL TITLE MATCH
Chivalric vs Gryffin Anselm (c) The lights dim down as a red liquid begins to fountain from both sides of the stage. There's a door seen on the tron, it creaks and opens... 3d Locusts fill the screen now as "The Girl Next Door is Always Screaming" by Ion Dissonance hits the PA system. "amy, sweet lewd amy... the way she moans, it's so obscene.
I cannot differ the sounds anymore, Chivalric hits the stage with a full Locust uniform. It's all black and tight fitted, long sleeves and long pants with dark dress shoes and long leather gloves. His head is covered by that black hood as the mouth and eye holes are mesh army green. He hides behind the right side fountain, crouching and scoping out the crowd. He gets up now ducking his head down as he moves from side to side, his head checking the fans to the sides out. He heads to the ring now at a slow march, his body moving fluently as he heads straight up the steps, moving into the ring as he lures in his corner, kneeling down with his neck out, his head tilted as he stalks, awaiting the introduction of Anselm. Mark Perletta: And just as creepy as always, Mason Bishop isn't letting down any of his fans as he appears ready to go, sporting the same type of look he did back when he won the World Heavyweight Title. Joey C: I doubt Gryffin Anselm is worried about this match, but being the type of competitor he is, I wouldn't expect him to be worried about ANY match, but I have to tell you, Marky, based on what we've seen from Chivalric and what we know he's capable of, I wouldn't want to go through what Gryffin's going to go through in this match at the hands of Mason Bishop. Mark Perletta: Well ever since having lost the World Heavyweight Title, Chivalric hasn't been the same, but what I have seen from him as of late, he looks like he has returned to his old form. This should be a fantastic match for the LEGACY Tour National Title. Red strobe lights start blinking all over the arena and red spotlights start swimming all over the crowd after Chivalric's music fades under and after a brief moment of silence, when suddenly "Step Up" by Drowning Pool starts to play over the speakers. As Gryffin Anselm steps out from backstage, there's a mixed reaction from the fans. Wearing his black cargo pants, his black steel toed boots, and his signature black tshirt with the red italic "D" across the chest, he carries with him the LEGACY Tour National Title over his shoulder. Mark Perletta: And here comes the champion, looking focussed and ready to go for this match up that he's been seemingly waiting to have for nearly three months. Joey C: Well for most of that time it didn't look like Chivalric was paying much attention to Gryffin, as he was obviously still fixated on Greyson Blade. Mark Perletta: In the past few weeks, however, Gryffin Anselm has successfully pulled Mason Bishop's attention on him, and because of it, this should be hard fought match between these two. As Gryffin gets to the ring he walks up the steel steps and stands in the corner, looking in at Chivalric, who stands motionlessly staring right back at him. After taking off his shirt and dropping it down to the arena floor beside him, Gryffin walks a few feet down the ring apron and then ducks in underneath the top rope and enters the ring. As he walks over and hands the National Title to the referee, Chivalric remains still. As the referee moves over to a neutral corner to hand the belt to the ring attendant, Anselm takes a few steps closer to Mason Bishop, who drops down to the mat and rolls out of the ring. Mark Perletta: Chivalric not wanting to get things started here just yet, and he starts walking around the outside of the ring, with Gryffin following him around the ropes, wanting to get a shot at him as soon as he enters the ring. Joey C: And now it looks like Anselm is going to wait no longer, as he exits the ring to go after his opponent! Chivalric picks up the pace a bit now and so does Gryffin, neither man walking anymore, both men in a near jog. Mark Perletta: Gryffin moving faster now and it looks like he's going to catch him... NO! Chivalric pulls up the ring apron and ducks down underneath the ring. Taking a step back, Gryffin doesn't follow Chivalric, knowing what he's capable of and not wanting to allow him the chance to do what he might do Suddenly across the ring the Locust mask emerges from underneath the ring, and not wasting any time Gryffin runs around the ring, and as soon as he is spotted by his opponent, Bishop hops up onto the apron and gets into the ring. Anselm follows suit and as he gets to a vertical base, Bishop fires in with a weak looking kick that Gryffin blocks, and then he picks his opponent up over his head into a gorilla press position, turns and faces the center of the ring and them SLAMS him down to the mat hard with a powerslam. Mark Perletta: Anselm throws Chivalric down to the mat with incredible power, and this doesn't look too good for Bishop already here early on in this match, as he looks to be in a lot of pain already. Joey C: And he's clutching at his Locust mask, as if he wants to take it off! Mark Perletta: Well it doesn't look like Gryffin wants to let him do that, and Bishop gets dragged up to his feet by Anselm, and now he's being sent into the ropes with an irish whip. Gryffin charges in... HE HITS A SPEAR... WHICH HE TURNS INTO A SPINEBUSTER!!! Gryffin pops up off the mat after hitting his finisher only moments after the referee called for the opening bell to get the match started, and seeing Bishop laying out cold on the mat, Anselm grabs him and pulls him up to his feet. Getting a closer look at him, however, Anselm looks perplexed, and so he tears the Locust mask off of his opponent, only to find some random guy who appears to be no older than 20 years old, knocked unconscious. Mark Perletta: That Mason Bishop, he pulled the old Switch-a-Rooni on us and tricked Gryffin into fighting some random punk off the street! Joey C: All the time he was hiding under the ring, but unbeknownst to Gryffin, Chivalric is out from under the canvas, now, and he got into the ring and now he's standing behind Anselm, waiting for him to turn around. Sensing someone behind him, Gryffin Anselm turns around, and when he does so Chivalric twists to his left just enough to get the right amount of torque, and then he twists around the other way, sending his foot towards the sternum of his opponent... PULMONARY ARCHERY!!! Mark Perletta: Mason Bishop with a measure of trickery, and after that vicous kick, Anselm is down to one knee and clutching his chest. Joey C: That very same kick has ended quite a few matches for Chivalric or at least put him in great position to win a match, and you have to think that what he just did... it definitely increased his odds. Mark Perletta: Mason Bishop moves closer to Gryffin, stalking his opponent as he remains kneeled on the mat, holding his chest, and suddenly Bishop moves in and nails Gryffin with a kick to the back of the shoulder, and then he backs up again, continuing to size Gryffin up. Joey C: That kick looks to have pissed off Gryffin, but the question is: does it matter? Anselm's still stunned from that Pulmonary Archery, still down on one knee. After sizing up Gryffin a little more, Chivalric fakes a kick to the back of Gryffin's shoulder, and then he spins around and nails him in the face with a roundhouse kick, taking Anselm down to the mat. With Gryffin on his back, Chivalric immediately starts laying into Gryffin with repeated kicks to his knee and quad. Not letting up for a second, Mason bends down and twists Gryffin's leg around his own knee and pulls back, wrenching it in. Mark Perletta: Gryffin in a world of pain now as Chivalric has that submission maneuver locked in, and to be honest, I don't know if Gryffin Anselm has ever submitted, but whether or not he gives up, he won't be the same in this match after the damage he's taking to his knee. Joey C: Everyone talks about the mind games that Chivalric plays with people, but not enough people give him credit for his in-ring ability. He might not always use wrestling tactics to win matches, he might not be a suplex machine, but when it comes to fighting, Chivalric knows how to get the job done. Anyone who doesn't respect what Bishop can do in that ring isn't paying enough attention. Mark Perletta: I never once heard Gryffin Anselm question the abilities of Mason Bishop, but one thing is for certain, he's getting a lesson first-hand here tonight just what Chivalric is capable of. Realizing that Anselm isn't going to tap out, Chivalric lets go of the hold and then stomps on Gryffin's knee a few more times before backing up and letting Anselm fight back up to a kneeling position, and then Bishop steps in and goes for another roundhouse to the face, but Gryffin blocks this one and gets up to one leg as he traps the head and leg of Chivalric and then throws him backwards into a suplex. Mark Perletta: Anselm tries to get to his feet, now, and Chivalric runs in and hits a double-legged dropkick to Anselm's knee, dropping him right back down to the mat. Not wasting any time Chivalric starts hammering away at Gryffin's knee again, trying to continue to work him over. Joey C: Oh and a nice block by Gryffin, catching one of Chivalric's legs, and he throws him through the ropes and down to the outside! On the outside of the ring, Mason Bishop gets back to his feet and, eyeing Anselm who is in a lot of pain in his knee, walks halfway around the ring over to one of the corners and drops down to his knees and reaches under the ring and pulls out a bucket with a lid on top of it. He wrenches the lid off of it and then reaches inside and takes out a plastic bag. Ripping open the plastic bag, Mason puts his hand deep down in it, and then when he pulls it out, his hand now has a black glove on it. Standing up and kicking the bucket back underneath the ring, Bishop gets into the ring and drops down to his knees again, waiting for Gryffin to pull himself back to his feet on the other side of the ring. Mark Perletta: What in the world is Mason Bishop doing? He's letting Anselm get back into this match! Joey C: He's playing possum, Marky, that's exactly what he's doing. Mark Perletta: Not a good idea.... Not against Gryffin Anselm! When Gryffin gets to his feet, he sees Bishop still on his knees, and he rushes over and nails Mason in the face with a knee thrust that flips Bishop over backwards, landing him on his back. Grabbing Chivalric by the head, Anselm pulls him up to his feet and then irish whips him across the ring. On the return Gryffin takes three quick steps in and hits a SPEAR... HE LIFTS HIM UP... HE SPINS AROUND... AND GRYFFIN DROPS DOWN TO ONE KNEE, SLAMMING CHIVALRIC IN THE PROCESS!!! Joey C: What the hell?! Mark Perletta: You want the answer, Joey? The answer is laying on the mat right next to Gryffin. What we couldn't see was inside of Chivalric's closed fist, held in that black glove, was a black rag, and as Gryffin lifted Mason Bishop up into the air, Chivalric put that black rag right into the mouth of Anselm, and although he didn't have it there long, the effects of the chloroform took their toll. Joey C: I tell you what else took its toll, and that's the spinebuster by Gryffin Anselm! He might've been knocked down to his knees, but he still had Chivalric lifted up at the time, and with his last burst of energy, he drove Mason Bishop into the mat. Mark Perletta: That he did, although not with the intensity that he usually hits his Spear / Spinebuster combination with, but enough to where both men are on the ground now, and the referee has just seen the black rag, and although he doesn't know for sure what happened with it, he kicks it out of the ring to prevent its further use. Chivalric starts to stir and then he starts crawling towards the ropes, and once he gets there he uses them to help him get back to his feet. As he returns to his vertical base, he turns to see Anselm start to get up to his knees as well. As Gryffin puts one of his feet on the mat and starts to get up, Chivalric throws himself into the ropes and springs off and sends a hard Pulmonary Archery into Anselm's chest for the second time in the match, this one not hitting as crisply as before, but still taking Anselm down to one knee. Exhausted, Mason collapses to the mat and then works to try to get back to his feet. As he does he slowly maneuvers behind Gryffin, who is still on his knees slumped over. Mark Perletta: Chivalric moves in behind Anselm, and I think he's going for it! I think he's going for the Seeker Protective Noose, and if he locks this in, that could be it, this could be over, we could have a new National Title holder! Joey C: But Gryffin's not done just yet!! Gryffin reaches back and grabs Chivalric by the arm, pulls him in close and then sends him over him with a snapmare. Shaken but not defeated, Mason Bishop gets right back up as quickly as he can, but as he steps in to go for another move on Gryffin, he gets nailed with a back elbow to the gut, doubling him over, and then Gryffin gets up to one leg. He then hooks Chivalric in, lifts him up, stands straight up for only a moment and then turns and sends Chivalric crashing down hard onto the mat. Mark Perletta: And there's the Eliminator! That's Gryffin's old finishing maneuver! Joey C: Not EXACTLY, Marky. He used to turn that jackhammer into a pinning combination, but he's so exhausted and worn down that he just rolled over onto his back! If Anselm could've covered Bishop, this could be all over, but he couldn't do it. He couldn't make the cover! Mark Perletta: And that just might cost him the National Title, Joey. Not being able to cover Mason Bishop as part of the Eliminator Jackhammer might very well have cost Gryffin Anselm that belt, and these fans are absolutely stunned at what's going on here in this match up, both men giving it their absolute all. Slowly Gryffin Anselm starts to stir, and he gets one knee underneath himself, but that's all he can muster. Not far from him, Chivalric starts to stir, and as he sees that, something awakens inside of Anselm and he gets up to one leg. Chivalric gets up to both knees and then gets a foot underneath himself, but that appears to be as far as he's going to go. Wanting to finish this thing off, Anselm gets up to his feet and walks over and grabs Chivalric by the neck, but just as he does, Mason Bishop twists to one side and then comes across hard with a hard chop to the throat, the move he calls the EL Destructor. Mark Perletta: Mason Bishop with a hell of a chop to the throat of Gryffin Anselm, and I think that's it. I think that just sealed the deal. Joey C: Chivalric getting to his feet, and you can tell that Bishop's proud of what he has done, watching his opponent, the National Title holder, grasping his throat, gasping for air. He knows he has this one won. As Chivalric slowly moves in, he grabs Gryffin by the head and lays into him with a headbutt, but as he does Gryffin grabs him by the arm, turns, and picks Mason up onto his shoulders. With his last bit of energy, Gryffin gets up to his feet, swings him around and PLANTS him into the mat with a Michinoku Driver, hitting the DEVASTATOR! Grabbing Chivalric off the mat, Anselm once again puts him up onto his shoulders, swings him over... and PLANTS him into the mat for a second time with the Michinoku Driver to complete a second DEVASTATOR! Mark Perletta: And the fans go crazy, Gryffin going for the pinfall... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winner by PINFALL and STILL National
Champion : Standing up, Gryffin just stares down at Chivalric as he lay on the mat, out cold, and the time keeper hands the National Title Belt to the referee, who walks over and hands it to Gryffin, raising his hand in victory. To Gryffin's surprise there's a decent response from the crowd, whether in a show of respect or out of mutual hatred of Mason Bishop. Putting the belt over his shoulder, Anselm looks out over the crowd when suddenly the lights shut off and the arena is completely dark... A buzzing sound is heard... The static on the LEGACY Vision brightens up the arena just slightly, and then suddenly the lights go back on and in the ring stands Gryffin Anselm. Alone. Mark Perletta: Where the heck did Chivalric go? Joey C: Who the hell knows, Marky, that guy is a freak, I don't understand half of the things he does or says or happens involving him, for that matter. The guy was just laid out in the ring like two minutes ago, the lights go out, and then he disappears? I'm just glad we're rid of him. Gryffin Anselm exits the ring, cautious of his surroundings, looking around him, making sure that Chivalric isn't going to pop out and attack him from somewhere as he walks up the entrance ramp back to the locker room. Mark Perletta: Well unless Chivalric shows up again tonight, we may as well move on because we have two VERY big matches still yet to come, both of which were voted as highly anticipated, and the first of those involves the World Tag Team Titles. Joey C: I'm not surprised that a Rob Belote run organization is featuring the Tag Titles as much as we are, but honestly, I'm not disappointed. Mark Perletta: I don't think anyone is disappointed, to be quite honest, because as it stands right now there are five really strong teams on the LEGACY Tour who are in action here tonight, not to mention the Bushido Buntai who have not yet had their in-ring debut. Joey C: And don't forget about how dangerous Greyson Blade and Gryffin Anselm can be when they're on the same page, and if Greyson Blade wins the World Heavyweight Title here tonight, they just might end up seeing eye to eye again. Mark Perletta: That is assuming that Gryffin Anselm doesn't decide he wants the World Heavyweight Title... Joey C: Too much speculation going on here, let's stop this before it begins, because let's not just assume that Greyson Blade is going to get past Marcus Marion. Mark Perletta: Very valid point. Up next is a match for the World Tag Team Titles involving the past three holders of those championships. Moxley and Cassidy - the Revenge of the Nerds - held those belts coming into this organization and lost the belts a couple weeks in to the team of Chris Turner and Stephen Rawlings. Joey C: And they proved to be just a one-time wonder, losing the belts in THEIR first title defense against MY new favorite team, The Disorderly Youth - Dan Stein and Conor McLellan. Mark Perletta: Feeling jaded about the circumstances under which they lost the belts, the fact that they defeated Conor and Stein the week before the Disorderly Youth won the belts, and the fact that they never got a rematch, the Revenge of the Nerds had a very valid reason for wanting this match up here tonight. And as former champions, Stephen Rawlings enacted his rematch clause to make the match about to get underway a three-way dance. Jen X: Our next match is scheduled for one fall and is for the World Tag Team Championships!!! WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Revenge of the Nerds {Moxley & Cassidy} vs Odd Cousins {Rawlings & Turner} vs Disorderly Youth (c) {Stein & Conor} "Champion" by Grinspoon hits the P.A. system and Stephen Rawlings walks out from the back, alone, wearing simply his black wrestling gear shorts, with "Rawlings" written down one of the legs that ends just above the knee. After he starts down the entrance ramp, Chris Turner follows, and the two make their way down to the ring, Rawlings not waiting for his cousin to catch up... or even really acknowledging that he is following him. Jen X: Introducing first, they are the first of two challengers, making their way down to the ring at this time and weighing in at a combined weight of 470 pounds, Stephen Rawlings and Chris Turner... they are the ODD COUSINS!!! Mark Perletta: And the first of the three teams to come down to the ring is easily the most disfunctional of the three, and if these two weren't family, they probably wouldn't agree to team up together anymore. Joey C: Yeah and that would be a terrible decision on Stephen Rawlings' part, breaking up what COULD BE one of the better tag teams in the history of our business. Because he's too stubborn or too proud to let Chris Turner conduct himself in the ring the way his talents suit him, Stephen is basically handicapping that team and depriving the sport of what I believe would be a historically great team. Mark Perletta: Part of what makes a team so great is their team philosophy, and since Rawlings and Turner can't agree on a philosophy that they can share, that leads to disagreements, and that leads to a disfunctional team, and that has a big affect on their team's potential for greatness in my opinion. Joey C: All Rawlings has to do is to understand that his cousin only wants to help him win matches, and if Stephen can just let Turner do what he does best and just forget about the fact that he's not some great technical wrestler, they could be another Hart Foundation. Mark Perletta: Well if Turner and Rawlings can come together enough to win here tonight, they could leave the Rosemont Horizon tonight as two-time LEGACY World Tag Team Champions, and when a team with two guys thirsty for recognition start to get it, some of those philosophical differences they might've had start to fade away. Jen X: And the second set of challengers for this match up... weighing in at a combined 452 pounds... Herbert J Moxley... D.J. Cassidy... THE REVENGE... OF THE NERDS!! The crowd goes completely nuts as "We're Not Going to Take It" starts in over the speakers, and the excitement and noise hits a huge level as Moxley and Cassidy step out from backstage, both men wearing "Revenge OF THE NERDS" tshirts. On their way down to the ring they each slap hands with the fans as they make their way down the isle. Mark Perletta: I think it's obvious that out of the three teams in this match up, the fan's pick as their favorite is obviously the team headed down to the ring at this time. Obviously the fans aren't behind Dan Stein and Conor McLellan, given the way they act, no one's going to blame them, so the fact that the Nerds are more popular than they are is no surprise. And it's not so much that the fan's don't like Stephen Rawlings or Chris Turner, but given the way those two interact, it's obvious that they may not be coexisting as a team much longer if they don't win the tag titles here tonight, and that makes them a hard team to emotionally invest in and get behind. Joey C: I still can't figure out why people all over the country think that these geeks are so cool, but they're not fooling me, not at all, not one bit. And if the fans are cheering for either the Nerds OR the Odd Cousins, they're going to be disappointed at the end of this match, because neither of those teams is leaving this arena with the World Tag Team Championships, because Dan Stein and Conor McLellan are GOING to be retaining those belts. Cassidy is the first of the duo to get into the ring, and as he does he nods towards Rawlings in a sign of respect, but when he looks towards Chris Turner, he just glares at him, the same thing that Herbert J Moxley does when he gets into the ring. Before Moxley gets into the ring, he walks over and kisses Jen X on the hand. Jen X: And introducing third, the LEGACY Tour World Tag Team Champions... weighing in at a combined 420 pounds... Here are Conor McLellan and "The Lights" Dan Stein... they are the team of DISORDERLY YOUTH!! Out from the back walk Conor McLellan and Dan Stein, the World Tag Team Championship belts around their respective waists. Unlike during the last edition of Shockwave prior to the pay per view, they don't appear to be drunk this time or high on anything. They appear to be ready for the matches, and as they make their way down the isle they ignore some of the fans and antagonize some of the fans, picking and choosing randomly, which also encites the crowd. Mark Perletta: The referee makes sure that one member from each team has exited the ring, and then he calls for the opening bell as Conor, Rawlings, and Moxley each represent their respective teams to get things started. Joey C: Moxley starting things off as he goes right for Conor McLellan, but as he does Conor drops down to the mat and slides out of the ring before Moxley can get his hands on him. Mark Perletta: Before he realizes it, Moxley is grabbed from behind by Stephen Rawlings who picks him up and brings him down to the mat with a twisting take-down. Both men back to their feet and Rawlings grabs the early advantage, taking Moxley into a side headlock, wrenching it in, trying to keep control. Joey C: Conor on the outside, letting these two go at it a bit before he enters the ring, and Rawlings wearing down the less technically proficient Moxley there on the inside. Mark Perletta: Oh but here comes Moxley backing Rawlings into the ropes now, and after pushing off the ropes, Moxley sends Rawlings into the opposite ropes, and Moxley gets a lot closer to the other side of the ring and takes Stephen down almost immediately after he rebounds off the ropes with a drop toe hold. Moxley grabs Rawlings as he starts to get to his feet and takes him down to the mat with a scoop slam, he drops an elbow into the sternum of Rawlings, but as he tries to keep on the attack, Conor McLellan slides back into the ring and takes Moxley down to the mat with a flying leg lariat. Joey C: Good strategy there by Conor, not only letting those two idiots wear each other down, but also attacking when they weren't expecting it. Conor keeps in on the attack, too, going right after Stephen Rawlings, laying into him with repeated kicks to take him back down to the mat, then dropping a quick standing leg drop on him before moving back over and doing the same to Moxley. Mark Perletta: Trying to get involved and help his cousin out, Chris Turner tries to illegally enter the ring, but the referee stops him before he's able to. With the ref's back turned, Conor starts choking Moxley by putting his shin across Herbert's throat. Trying to help out his tag team partner, D.J. Cassidy tries to get into the ring, but the referee runs over and stops him from illegally entering the match. As Conor sees the referee holding Cassidy back, he walks over and starts taunting Cassidy, completely forgetting about Stephen Rawlings, and paying the price for it. With his attention on Cassidy and the referee, Conor McLellan gets blindsided by Stephen Rawlings, who takes Conor down to the mat with a bulldog from behind. Mark Perletta: Stephen Rawlings getting back into this match, and now Conor is the one who's on the mat trying to avoid getting pummelled, but that's not going to be easy to do now that Moxley is getting back to his feet too. Joey C: What the hell are these two thinking, double-teaming Conor McLellan like this?! They should be going after one another, not both laying stomps into Conor! It's strategy like this that's going to cause both the Nerds AND the Odd Cousins to leave WITHOUT the belts here tonight! After having sufficiently stomped on Conor McLellan, Stephen Rawlings backs up a step, then he runs in and takes Herbert Moxley down to the mat with a clothesline. As Moxley gets back up to his feet, Rawlings levels him back down to the mat with a jumping clothesline, and then grabbing Moxley by the head, Rawlings lifts him up to his feet, tucks his head underneath Herbert's arm, then lifts him up and over into a Northern Lights Suplex into a bridged pinning combination. ONE! TWO!! NO! Shoulder Up!! Mark Perletta: Nice pinfall attempt there by Stephen Rawlings, who is now arguing that it was a slow count, and then he goes right back to work on Moxley, grabbing him by the head and lifting him up to his feet again. Joey C: With all the commotion of a near pinfall, neither Rawlings NOR Moxley noticed as Conor McLellan crawled over and tagged in Dan Stein. Mark Perletta: And that looks to have cost Rawlings, as Dan Stein comes right into the ring and sends Stephen down to the mat with a jumping face slam. Before Conor McLellan leaves the ring, he kicks Moxley in the back of the leg, dropping him to one knee, and then Conor grabs Moxley by the head and throws him between the ropes and down to the outside. Joey C: Some people may consider it an illegal maneuver what Conor just did, but I consider it great teamwork. Conor has a five count before which he has to leave the ring, and before the referee finished that count, he was back out on the apron. Sure, he wasn't supposed to be in the ring still, and sure, he wasn't supposed to lay a hand on Moxley after tagging Dan Stein into the match, but he did, and now Moxley is on the outside, and Stein doesn't have to worry about anything other than Stephen Rawlings. Mark Perletta: Stephen Rawlings being brought to his feet by Stein, and as Stein goes for a right hand Rawlings blocks it, showing signs of life, then retaliating with a right hand of his own. Stein follows that up with a right hand that rocks Rawlings back a step, then another. He goes for a third one, but Rawlings blocks that and takes Stein down with a short clothesline. Both men struggle to get back to their feet but Rawlings gets their first and he drives a knee into the gut of Stein and then picks him up and hits an inverted atomic drop. Having put Stein back down on the mat, Rawlings drops down to one knee and gives himself a short breather. Wanting to stay on the offensive, however, Rawlings grabs Stein by the head and starts to pull him to his feet, when suddenly the excitement level grows all throughout the crowd. In trying to battle it out with one another, both Dan Stein and Stephen Rawlings both forgot about Moxley, who was quickly recovering on the outside, and who had now climbed to the top rope, awaiting the perfect opportunity. Suddenly Rawlings notices something out of the corner of his eye, and he turns just in time to see Herbert Moxley fly off the top rope with an attempted double axhandle! Rawlings and a now recovering Dan Stein catch Moxley in mid-air, but before they can do anything with him, Moxley grabs them around their necks, each with one of his arms, and he leans back as far as he can and he's JUST BARELY able to bring them both down head first into a huge two-man DDT!!! Mark Perletta: What a move by Herbert Moxley, and listen to these fans, they're going wild! Joey C: I have no choice BUT to listen to these fans, it's so loud in here I can't even hear myself think! Mark Perletta: Moxley fights to get back to his feet... using the ropes he becomes the first of the three to stand up... he reaches out... with his last bit of energy he leaps.... THE TAG IS MADE!! D.J. Cassidy gest into the ring and he goes right for Dan Stein! As soon as Cassidy gets into the ring he runs over and lifts Stein up and rocks him backwards with a right hand that spins him around, and Cassidy then grabs Stein around the waist.... lifts him up and takes him over into a german release suplex, and the crowd starts clapping and cheering as Cassidy continues his team's offensive. Mark Perletta: Cassidy continues to go right after Dan Stein with a vengeance, trying not only to extract a little revenge on the man who turned his back on him, but he's also trying to win back the World Tag Team Titles. Joey C: Yeah but Stephen Rawlings might have something to say about that! As Cassidy tries to go for a single leg boston crab, Stephen Rawlings gets up off the mat and lays into Cassidy with a forearm shot to the back of the head, and then he lifts him up to his feet and sends Cassidy into the ropes into an irish whip. On the return Cassidy has an extra burst of speed that Rawlings didn't account for, and Cassidy leaps into the air and takes Rawlings off of his feet with a leg lariat. Mark Perletta: D.J. Cassidy with a head of steam that keeps him in control of this match, and Chris Turner looks absolutely livid on the outside, wanting to get into the ring to help his team and his cousin Stephen Rawlings. Joey C: Enough already! We GET the fact that Rawlings and Turner are cousins! What you SHOULD be mentioning is how stubborn Stephen Rawlings is being and how his actions are hurting his team! He's not in there trying to help his team try to win the World Tag Team Titles back, he's trying to go through the match completely alone and NOT rely on Chris Turner. Mark Perletta: All of the five other men involved in this match have been in the ring except for Turner, and although you might argue that the Odd Cousins are the only team with a completely "fresh" man on the outside, it also means that Turner is still "cold", not having had the chance to do anything other than stand on the outside the entire time, and as D.J. Cassidy has Rawlings locked into an armbar in the ring, it's obvious that he could use a little help from his partner. Joey C: And it's not like this is the first time in the match that he should be tagging Turner in, but he's not going to do it! Mark Perletta: Meanwhile Dan Stein is content to kneel over in his corner, resting, talking to Conor McLellan about strategy, keeping mindfull not to let Cassidy pin Rawlings or get him to submit, because then the Disorderly Youth would lose those belts. Joey C: What Dan Stein is doing right now is smart. He's using his head and keeping his team in this match and giving them the best chance possible to win, which is a lot more than you can say for what Stephen Rawlings is doing! On the apron Chris Turner reaches over the top rope, stretching as far as he can go, BEGGING and PLEADING for his partner to tag him in, but to no avail. Stephen Rawlings slowly but surely starts working his way back to his feet, and as he gets there, Cassidy realizes he needs to do something, so he goes for an irish whip. Rawlings reverses it and sends Cassidy into the ropes. On the return Rawlings goes for a samoan drop by turning to the side and ducking down, but as Cassidy reaches him he floats over the top and rolls Rawlings up, going for a small package. ONE! TWO!! DAN STEIN BREAKS IT UP!!! As Stephen Rawlings tries to start getting to his feet, Dan Stein grabs him by the head and swings him around, dropping him with a swinging neckbreaker. Chris Turner starts yelling out on the apron, so as soon as Dan Stein gets up, before Cassidy can lock up with him, Stein runs over and dropkicks an unsuspecting Turner off of the apron. Joey C: Maybe that'll shut that big idiot up! He can't get tagged in if he's down on the arena floor! Nice move by Dan Stein! Mark Perletta: Well it might have quieted Turner for a moment, but it might not have been the smartest move, as D.J. Cassidy now just attacked him from behind, hitting him with a clubbing blow. From there Cassidy sends Dan Stein into the ropes with an irish whip... Joey C: Stupid move by Cassidy, who sends Stein right into his own corner, and now Dan just tagged in Conor McLellan! Mark Perletta: Cassidy too far away from his own corner, now, and now he's a victim of a double-team by the Disorderly Youth. The referee gets in there and breaks it up, sending Stein out onto the apron, but the damage has been done. Conor now in control and working over D.J. Cassidy. Chris Turner climbs back up onto the apron and starts screaming for Rawlings to tag him in, but to no avail. When Rawlings gets back up to his feet he takes one look at Turner on the outside and then runs over and levels Conor with a clothesline. As Rawlings works over Conor on the mat, D.J. Cassidy gets to his feet and he tags in Herbert J Moxley. Mark Perletta: In comes the man who is probably the biggest fan favorite in this match, and as expected, the crowd livens up a bit. Joey C: Livens up A BIT? They went crazy just because he got tagged into a match. These people are nuts, you realize that, don't you? As soon as Moxley gets into the match, he runs over and helps Stephen Rawlings work over Conor McLellan. With Conor standing dazed on his feet, Rawlings rocks him back with a solid right hand... and then Moxley follows up with one of his own... and then Rawlings... and then Moxley... and then Rawlings FLOORS Conor with a clothesline. Moxley raises his hand in hopes of getting a high five from Rawlings, but as he does he's met with a dropkick that takes him off his feet. As Moxley tries to get back to his feet, Rawlings drops an elbow into his back, flattening him down to the mat. As Moxley then tries again to get back up to his feet, Rawlings grabs him around the neck and does a forwards roll into a cradle pinning position, and the referee slides in and goes for the count... ONE! TW... NO!! Moxley kicks out and the match continues, but as he gets to his feet after doing a backwards roll, he looks at Stephen, surprised at what just happened. Moxley shakes his head in disbelief, and Rawlings just backs up a few steps and shrugs his shoulder, as if to tell Moxley that he shouldn't be surprised. Rawlings backs up too far, however, and he runs right into the outstretched hand... of Chris Turner. Mark Perletta: Oh my, whether Stephen Rawlings wanted to or not, he just allowed Chris Turner to get himself tagged into the match, and here he comes!! Chris Turner doesn't waste any time as he gets into the ring and immediately clotheslines Moxley down to the ropes, and then he runs over and clotheslines Dan Stein, who just tagged in Conor McLellan. Turner then switches over and runs over and clotheslines Moxley again and picks him up into a bear-hug, but Rawlings comes over and starts yelling at him. As they argue over the fact that Turner tagged himself into the match, the referee comes over and yells at Rawlings, getting him to exit to the corner. Turner then turns his attention around just in time to see Conor McLellan leap off of the top rope, and Turner catches him, spins, and PLANTS him in the mat with a hard slam. Joey C: Damn it, one second sooner and that idiot would be on his back instead of Conor. Mark Perletta: Chris Turner laying into Conor with stomp after stomp, and it looks like Rawlings is coming back into the ring to continue yelling at his cousin... OH NO! Rawlings touched Turner on the shoulder to get his attention and Chris turned around without knowing who it was and just swung his arm and he just knocked Rawlings down with a huge haymaker to the jaw! Rawlings is down! The referee comes over as Turner tries to check on Rawlings and the referee starts yelling at the both of them. While this happens, Dan Stein gets into the ring and he grabs Moxley up off the mat and hits a standing, unassisted enzuigiri that knocks Moxley out. Conor slowly gets up off of his feet and runs over and jumps, landing the back of his leg on the back of Chris Turner's neck, riding it down to the floor similar to the Fameasser move. Conor then helps Turner get back to his feet, he grabs each of Chris' hands and then jumps up and pulls down at the same time, kicking Turner in the jaw, hitting his APOCALYPTICA finishing maneuver and he goes for the pinfall attempt, and the referee makes the count... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! Winners by PINFALL and STILL World Tag
Team Champions : Dan Stein takes the belts from the time keeper on the outside and he and Conor don't even wait around to have their hands raised, as they are halfway up the entrance ramp before Chris Turner can get up off the mat. It's obvious that Moxley and Cassidy are pissed off that they didn't win the match, obviously wanting another shot at Stein and Conor, but in the middle of the ring, Stephen Rawlings just stares at his cousin, still angered about Turner tagging himself into the match. Shaking his head in disgust at it all, Rawlings slowly takes leave of the ring, not looking at any of the three of them again on this night. True Talent Recognition Clarification
The camera switches over to a shot from the broadcast position to the side of the entrance stage where our two announcers are sitting. Mark Perletta: Well folks, for those of you who might not be aware, at another organization's pay per view a few weeks ago, Ed Raymond showed up and awarded six men with plaques, naming them as the "Legends of True Talent Wrestling". Now at first I wasn't sure what to think about that, so I personally contacted Ed Raymond and got some clarification. Perletta lifts up a piece of paper, and as he does so, "Legends of TTW" is written across the top of the LEGACY Vision jumbotron screen. Mark Perletta: I have here in my hand a list of those six men who Ed Raymond recognized, but first I think it's only appropriate for me to relay the description of what Ed Raymond believes it means to have this honor bestowed upon someone. As he described it to me, this is not exactly a Hall of Fame of sorts for True Talent Wrestling, but rather just an acknowledgment of who the men were who will be forever linked to True Talent Wrestling as they reached the height of their careers in that organization. It's not to say that these six men had the best tenure of anyone in the history of TTW, but rather that these men reached a pinnacle of their own personal accomplishment while in the organization, and in doing so were important names to Ed Raymond. The first name appears on the LEGACY Vision, the name "Christopher Davis" showing up. Mark Perletta: Christopher Davis - A man who I consider to be arguably the most important name in the history of True Talent Wrestling. He held the World Title, he held the tag titles, and he was the biggest ratings grabber for our organization for a large part of the programming under the TTW banner. The second name appears on the LEGACY Vision, the name "Rocky Stellar". Joey C: Rocky Stellar - Arguably one of the bigger names in our sport for the past decade or more, Rocky Stellar was also a big ratings grabber for TTW, whether as a good guy or a bad guy, whether tagging up with Loco Martinez as Stellar Insanity or when he was going head to head with Devastation for the World Title. Stellar almost always finds his way onto the "Legends" list of whatever federation he's a part of. The third name appears on the LEGACY Vision, the name "Lonewolf". Mark Perletta: Lonewolf - Although he only had one title reign during his tenure in True Talent Wrestling, his contribution to this organization went far beyond championship reigns. He was a big part of transitioning from WPW, the organization he ran and sold to Ed Raymond. Had he been in TTW longer, he would've had more championship belts to show for it. The fourth name appears on the LEGACY Vision, "Osbourne Kilminster". Mark Perletta: Osbourne Kilminster - The first ever True Talent Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, the MMA style wrestling ability mastered by Kilminster gave a lot of credibility to the Championship in a volatile time of its history. The fifth name appears on the LEGACY Vision, the name "Chaos". Mark Perletta: Chaos - Through his tough in-ring style, Chaos garnered a lot of fans who loved to watch him step between the ropes and brawl with anyone who was daring enough, or foolish enough, to step in there with him. He also provided a lot of backstage assistance to both the front office and to several of the newer wrestlers. The sixth and final name appears on the LEGACY Vision, the name "Devastation". Mark Perletta: Devastation - The two-time and final True Talent Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, Devastation lead the way as TTW made strides to become the undesputed most entertaining wrestling organization in the business. Had the doors not closed I believe that TTW would be seen in that light, and Devastation would be a major player, if not still the World Heavyweight Champion. Joey C: A lot of people on the dirt sheets and in the LEGACY Tour locker room want to despute these six as the definitive six most important guys in the history of True Talent Wrestling, but when it comes down to it, these are the guys who Ed Raymond wanted to honor as the "Legends of TTW", and so for one reason or another, my hat is off to each and every one of them. Mark Perletta: Ed Raymond is a name who will continue to be missed in this business, and I can only hope that he returns some day in some function, because this business is not as good without him around. Joey C: This organization isn't the same without him around, though I don't know that I'd call it "worse" off, it's just... different. Rob Belote has proven in the past month and a half that he knows what he's doing, and I, for one, trust him to continue to run things strongly and put on great and entertaining shows. Mark Perletta: There was an article on one of the dirt sheets the other day regarding whether or not Rob Belote was starting to take the "Creative Genius" torch or not, and while there were some mixed opinions on it, the one I thought was the most accurate was the one that brought up two very important points. First, it's not like this is the first time Rob Belote has been the front man of a wrestling organization, as his SWA thrived while it was in business despite its competitor, AODWF, having bigger named talent and more money. He's not new to the creative game, and back when he was running the SWA a lot of people found him to be a very creative person. Second, it's still too early to tell how things will go with the LEGACY Tour. Tonight's pay per view has been a good one, and after the main event I'm sure the dirt sheets will spark up with questions surrounding how much people did or did not like the results and where it stacks up in comparison to the pay per views this organization put on under Ed Raymond's control. Joey C: People just need to realize that TTW matured over the course of a two year span, and to judge what Rob Belote and the LEGACY Tour front office are giving you each and every week right now and to try to compare that with the well oiled ship that WAS True Talent Wrestling... it's a bit unfair. When the LEGACY Tour got going, a good bit of the roster stuck around, but some key players either decided not to return or were not involved right away. Heading towards the next pay per view, I think you're going to continue to see strides towards making this a great organization. Mark Perletta: And from what I understand the next pay per view event, the name of which I haven't heard yet, is scheduled to take place in about three month's time, so there's plenty of time for things to develop between now and the first of September. But for now let's get down to the ring where the lovely Jen X is ready to get things rolling. Jen X: Our next match up is tonight's Main Event!! Set for one fall and is for the World Heavyweight Championship!! The lights go out all over the arena except for some spotlights that had been placed all around the outside of the ring, shining straight upwards. A low, bass drumroll starts playing as a steel cage is lowered down from the rafters, slowly surrounding the ring. As it touches ground, ten men run out from the back and scurry all around the cage, checking the connections of the four walls and the roof (two of them climbed up the cage to check that), making last minute adjustments. When they finish checking it and head to the back, the lights come up in the arena and the spotlights are hoisted up into the rafters. Mark Perletta: Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s time for our main event of the evening and after all of the great action we’ve had, I can’t think of a better match to end with that The Outlaw Greyson Blade stepping inside a steel cage to battle the LEGACY Champion, The True Revolutionary Marcus Marion. This match has been brewing since TTW was still in operation and served to explode here in LEGACY as Marcus Marion cost Greyson Blade the National Title, as well as screwed him out of the LEGACY Title, and don’t get me started on the Susan Rhodes Killshot incident. Joey C: Well, that battle isn’t going to end the way the fans at home, this crowd here with us live, or you Mark Perletta want this to end. Marcus Marion has beaten Greyson Blade before, and he’ll do it again as he establishes himself as the future of the industry and this company by putting Greyson Blade down one more time. Mark Perletta: That’s why we actually have the matches Joey, and that cage is ready to go! Let’s send things over to Jex X! WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE CAGE MATCH
Greyson Blade vs Marcus Marion (c) Jen X: Introducing first... he is the challenger for tonight's main event and a former 5 time World Champion... hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, standing at 6 foot 5 and weighing in at 293 pounds... he is "The Outlaw"... GREYSON... BLADE!! As the words flow from Jen’s lips, the lights once again go out, pyro starts shooting up from either side of the entrance curtain, the arena erupts in cheers with the opening chords of “Outlaw Torn” as the man himself appears before them. And now I wait my whole lifetime for you I ride the dirt, I ride the tide for you To take back what you left me Outlaw of torn The Outlaw reaches the end of the rampway, and then looks at the sea of humanity that will bear witness to this event, many of them wearing the same t-shirt he’s wearing now. He turns and he looks up at the steel structure before him, and he then reaches up and rips and tears his t-shirt down the middle, with a roar he grabs the cage and shakes it ramping up the adrenaline before entering the cage door. Mark Perletta: The Outlaw is PSYCHED tonight Joey. This is the match for which he has been waiting for nearly three years after his fabled “fall from grace”. He reached the bottom, fought his way back through OPW and TTW and now he is here to take the LEGACY Title and complete his journey. Joey C: That’s a great bed time story Marky, but this one isn’t going to have a happy ending. Marcus Marion has been ahead of The Outlaw every step of the way, and tonight will be no different. That title belongs to the True Revolutionary, and tonight he’s going to show the world that Mason Bishop had nothing to do with that victory two weeks ago on Shockwave. Jen X: And introducing next... Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia... he is the current reigning World Heavyweight Champion and the self proclaimed Greatest Performer in the History of this Business.... standing at 6 foot 1 and weighing in at 232 pounds... he is the "True Revolutionary"... he is "Caesar"... MARCUS MARION!! Not even waiting for the theme, the crowd does indeed “Set it Off” as the crowd’s “Blade” chant is replaced by “Die-Marion-Die” and the LEGACY Champion appears before the supremely vocal crowd. The LEGACY Title is around his waist and he raises his arms as if accepting all of their hatred, and he turns around to see all of the haters, and then he looks forward to the cage with a smirk on his lips. Suddenly a shot Set if off As he walks down the isle, he completely ignores the fans lining the isle. Upon reaching the cage he yells at the head official to keep The Outlaw back so he might enter the cage untouched and the referee obliges him, and Marion steps inside the cage with the LEGACY Title and slowly he unstraps it and hands it to the referee who holds it up and then approaches the door for the belt to make an exit and he signals for the bell. Mark Perletta: There’s the opening bell and this match is underway. Blade and Marion start off circling each other with Marion mocking the challenger, telling him to bring it on but staying just out of reach. Joey C: He is the challenger Marky, make him come to Marion. Finally it seems Blade has grown weary of the stalling and he lunges at Marion, and the LEGACY Champion fires off a quick right hand catching The Outlaw flush in the jaw, staggering him back. Marcus quickly follows up with another right, and then goes for a left hook, but The Outlaw side steps and jacks Marion with a right hand of his own, sending him back to the ropes. Blade then steps in and tosses him with the Irish whip and catches him on the rebound with a huge clothesline! Marion tries to push up to his feet and he’s met with a second clothesline. The Outlaw moves in on him then rocks him with a knee to the midsection. With Marcus’ back then exposed Blade takes advantage and hammers Marion down with an axe handle blow to the spine. The crowd is eating up the early offense from The Outlaw and he stays on the advantage, dropping three straight elbows on to Marion. Mark Perletta: After absorbing two punches, Greyson Blade has come roaring back, and it looks like he’s targeting the back, and I have to say with the Outlaw Drop/Killshot combination that is a great strategy to use. Joey C: It’s still early yet, and we’ll see how effective Blade’s offense is once Marion turns the tide and starts in with some serious old-school submission wrestling. Joey’s words though have not yet come to pass as Greyson pulls Marion to his feet and delivers a left to the jaw and then he steps in and grabs Marcus’ and lifts him up and drops him on the knee with the inverted atomic drop. Marion conveniently leans forward and Blade wraps the head and spikes him with a slick looking Evenflow-style DDT! The Outlaw then rolls over on top of Marion and hooks the legs for the cover. Mark Perletta: One.. Two.. And there’s the kick out from the LEGACY Champion! The Outlaw doesn’t get the successful pin, nor do I believe he expected it would work, but forcing Marion to kickout just costs him that little bit of extra energy to go through the motions. The Outlaw now back on the attack and there’s a stiff series of lefts to the skull and now Greyson sends Marion off on the Irish whip again … off the ropes comes Marion and ducks the clothesline … he comes back off with ropes with the flying cross body… and The Outlaw catches him and … THERE’S A RUNNING POWERSLAM! Mark Perletta: What an impact on the canvas and the fans here are going nuts Joey C! Joey C: Blade has just been perfect so far … but this is Greyson Blade … how long can THAT last? The Outlaw comes off the ropes and drops a leg across Marcus’ throat, and proceeds to then pull him to a standing position, and send him into the ropes once more. He side steps Marion on the return and scoops him up, gets a head of steam and plans him with a running side(walk) slam! He bounces off the canvas, and he looks to the turnbuckles. The cage is roofed, but there’s room. He climbs the buckles as the fans big rising up as The Outlaw arrives at the top rope. He’s one of the few big men that will take flight, and look to drop a move from the high rent district even at 290 pounds. Blade targets the LEGACY Champion, and leaps! However, before he can bury the elbow into Marion’s chest, Marcus rolls out of the way and Blade comes crashing down on that right arm with a thud! The fans groan on impact, feeling that a move like that could have brought them a new champion but to no avail. Mark Perletta: That’s why those moves are high risk, high reward, and Blade didn’t get the payoff as Marion is now up and he’s off the ropes and there’s a stiff kick to that arm! The Outlaw is trying to rise, guarding that arm, but here’s Marion with a right hand to the head, stunning him and freeing up that injured appendage! Joey C: Now we get to watch Marcus Marion show why he is a True Revolutionary in that ring. Let’s watch the dissection of Greyson Blade. Dissection is exactly what Marcus has in mind. Marion wrenches the arm, spins under and wenches it again. He steps through and using his elbow he delivers a series of sharp strikes to that right arm. Each strike weakens Greyson’s footing, until finally Marion drives him down to one knee. Finally, he pulls the arm back into a hammerlock and delivering a blow to the skull. Greyson absorbs the hit flush and is knocked to the canvas. The Outlaw tries to shake out the blow, but as he presses up, Marion flies off the ropes and dropkicks the arm. Mark Perletta: It’s not fancy, but it’s sure effective Joey. Marion now has something to target to keep the big man at bay. Greyson is trying to get to his feet and Marion now latches on to that arm and … there’s an armbreaker! Marion drops the arm across the knee … and now what is he going to do? He has Blade up and he tries the Irish whip and succeeds … Blade on the rebound and … THERE’S AN ARMDRAG AND INTO AN ARMBAR! Joey C: It’s simple, but think of a guy of Blade’s size being taken over with that injured arm as the flip point. That has to hurt like hell, and now Marion has him in a standing armbar … and now he drops it into a crucifix armbar! I love it Marky, even if Blade can get out of this hold, how is he going to effectively use his power offense or hope to get the most out of The Killshot? Greyson angrily clutches at the canvas as Marion hyperextends the arm, furthering weakening The Outlaw. The official moves into position and asks Blade if he gives, but if Marion thinks he can tap out the challenger he’s sadly mistaken. Marion finally releases the hold, realizing this wasn’t going to win him the contest, and he brings Blade up roughly by the injured arm and works him back into the turnbuckles. There he shoulder charges The Outlaw, and then rocks him back with a knife-edge chop that echoes through arena. Crowd: Wooooooooooooo!! Marion smirks at his handy work and he delivers another chop … and then a third. Finally, he grabs the arm and leaps back, driving Blade’s arm into the canvas with a falling armbeaker move in the style of a DDT. The Outlaw grimaces in serious pain as Marion makes the cover … Mark Perletta: Marcus Marion has the cover … One Two Thr-NO! Blade manage to get the shoulder up, even with Marion’s great distribution of weight to pin the challenger. Marion now slams the mat in a bit of frustration, and rather that getting frustrated he simply needs to get back on The Outlaw and continue the attack. Joey C: Sure that’s what he needs to do but he’s human. He’s shown a great display of submission wrestling for which Blade seems not to have been prepared … and it’s a display we’ve not seen from him before. I’m not going to call him a submission master, but this is definitely effective part of Marion’s arsenal. Marion motions for Blade to get up, and he waist for Blade to push himself up before wrenching the arm and pulling him in for a DDT. However before he can bring The Outlaw down, Greyson bull rushes and slams him back into the corner, stunning Marion. The Outlaw wastes not time and with that good arm he rocks Marion with a huge shot, and then delivers a headbutt, forehead to nose, and Marion grunts in pain and surprise. The Outlaw then knees Marion in the stomach and rocks him with and uppercut in the corner. Then it begins … Blade brings out a boot party. He kicks and stomps the living shit out of Marion, each blow knocking further down until he meets canvas and The Outlaw keeps going as the crowd rallies behind him. Blade then chokes Marion with his boot before he then kicks him in the ribs and stalks backwards. The crowd loves the abuse of the LEGACY Champion and Blade has him scouted. He stalks back and Marion slowly tries to stand … and as he turns … The Outlaw charges! He lowers his shoulder looking for The Killshot, but at the last moment, Marion dives! The fans expect shoulder to meet steel as that’s how all of those encounters seem to end. However, Greyson manages to put on the breaks, and he turns around as Marcus rises and boots him in the gut! Blade pulls him into a standing head scissors he wraps the arms … he heaves Marion up and delivers a double under hook back breaker! Mark Perletta: WHAT A POWER MOVE FROM THE OUTLAW! That hit direct to the spine and Marion is being softened up for the finish right here! Blade now sending Marion with the Irish whip to the ropes … Marion comes off and … THERE’S A BIG SPINEBUSTER! He took Marion up and over with that good arm, and now The Outlaw rolls over and here’s the pin attempt! One Two THR-NO! Mark Perletta: So close Joey … so very close! We almost had new LEGACY Champion. Joey C: Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades Marky. Marion survived and this match will continue, and I’m still confident it will have a vastly different outcome than the one for which you and these fans are hoping. Mark Perletta: This is The Outlaw’s realm now Joey, and I can’t see him losing this … look at him going now. Inside this cage there are no Media Whores … no Mason Bishop. Marion has to stand on his own two feet against the fury of a man he has played the coward for and screwed time and time again. The Outlaw now has The True Revolutionary up and there’s a huge left hook, there’s another and Blade now with the Irish whip and there’s a back elbow! Marcus spins around and Blade catches him and they go back up and over with the belly to back suplex! Blade is on fire here and listen to that “Blade” chant going out from this capacity crowd! Joey C: They just don’t appreciate a good thing when they have it. Devastation could wrestle, but could he truly entertain … I think not. Marion is the future, and that future should not be compromised by some backwoods redneck with absolutely no class. The LEGACY Champion should be a cut above. He should be of High Society. He should be an innovator and leader. Mark Perletta: Yes but should he be a coward! Look at Marion now … he’s up and clutching his back and he’s actually moving away from Greyson into the corner, but The Outlaw is still coming for him. Greyson with the Irish whip now and ….CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL! He nearly decapitates Marion! The Outlaw looking around the cage … to the fans … and now down at Marcus. Greyson Blade has bad intentions for the LEGACY Champion! Joey C: I can’t watch this! The Outlaw pulls Marion up and scoops him over his chest … and then he presses Marion above his head! The crowd begins a raucous “Die-Marion-Die” chant and Blade heaves and tosses Marion straight into the steel cage! The crowd continues the chant until Greyson steps back a few feet, and drops to a knee, clutching his arm. Joey C: Ha! Marion’s attack did do the damage! The Outlaw grits his teeth and forces himself to stand to go after Marion and he reaches over the ropes to get him, but Marion delivers a low blow to The Outlaw, and Marion uses the cage to pull himself up, still shaking off the impact. The Outlaw tries to rise slowly, and Marion latches onto him by the neck and slams him head first into the bars, stunning him, and opening up a cut in the middle Greyson’s forehead. Marion slams him face first into the cage twice more as the crowd angrily shouts out their hatred for the LEGACY Champion. Finally, Greyson slumps over the top rope and Marion pulls Greyson over the top rope with him. Marcus then pulls out the injured arm and works it through the cage bars! Marion then steps behind Blade to keep him from turning, and he locks himself in place by locking his own leg through the cage. With The Outlaw pinned in position, Marion torques the arm, using the cage as a brace and hyperextends it against the steel. For the first time all match Greyson cries out in pain as Marion just smirks and shakes his head in satisfaction. Mark Perletta: My … God … he has The Outlaw trapped! He’s going to … he’s going to make Blade submit! Greyson Blade has never actually submitted! Sure he’s been pinned but he has never tapped out! Not in DIWF, not in SHOOT, not in OPW. Marcus Marion could be the first to do it here tonight at Rise of the Elite 3! Joey C: I told you Marky! I told you … with this “Revolutionary” submission move Marcus Marion is going to show the entire world just why he is the LEGACY Champion! The camera pans around to show the victim of the hold up against the bars of the steel, his face pressed against the steel, blood streaming from the gash in his forehead and down his face as his arm is pulls back unnaturally against the steel, threaded through the cage. The fans begin to scream and chant for the challenger, making a desperate attempt to rally him from this predicament. Mark Perletta: That move has to be excruciatingly painful Joey. Look at the angle of that arm, and he’s starting to battle the blood loss as well. Greyson Blade is going to have to dig down deep to get out of this predicament. Marcus Marion has him where he wants him with no where to go without the extreme effort of powering out of it! Joey C: This is the move that is going to win this match for Marcus Marion. Write it down, underline, and circle it. This move is going to destroy that arm. The Outlaw continues to grit his teeth in agony and he bears down and slowly he begins to pull his arm the natural direction and little by little Marion’s grip slips, until he tries to reset it and Greyson pulls away! The miss allow Blade some room, and he turns slightly … and delivers a back elbow to Marion’s face! Marion is rocked and his leg slips from the cage. Blade yanks his arm through the steel as he allows it to hang limply, the damage having been done and he slips through the ropes, trying to get space from Marcus. Marion, however, would have none of it as he moved to the corner and turnbuckles, stalking Blade and he leaps off and connects with the arm with a top rope double axe handle smash (shades of the great Randy Savage). Marion then pulls The Outlaw up into a cobra clutch! He wraps the injured arm and chokes Greyson with his own, now dead appendage! Blade struggles feebly against the choke, but Marion puts a halt to it by side stepping and taking Greyson to the canvas with a modified Russian leg sweep. Mark Perletta: I have never seen Marion like this before … he’s dismantling Greyson … he’s actually going toe to toe with Blade and controlling this match up. Joey C: Well this match up doesn’t have much longer to go Marky … Blade is almost done. The world is spinning around Greyson as he feels Marion wrap his legs around Blade’s neck and then lock on an armbar … actually it’s a triangle scissor lock. Think a figure four neck lock (sleeper) with an armbar submission. Blade tries desperately to fight the hold, but Marion is cutting off his blood supply, and the pain his arm was intense enough, that … it seemed that he was going numb. The Outlaw began to dig his chin down into Marion’s shin and slowly he worked his chin in between Marion’s leg and his neck. The haze with the lack of oxygen remained as did the armbar, but he was starting to get air again. Blade then did the only thing he could think of to do. He opened up and … just bit Marcus Marion’s leg! Marion, completely not expecting the move releases it in anger screaming … YOU BITCH! At Greyson, who tries to rises but gets a boot to his bloody forehead. Marcus Marion looks at him with an enraged sneer, and knees him in the face before pulling him into a standing head scissors. He then motions to the crowd … this is over … Mark Perletta: Marcus is going for that move that finished Blade off the last time they met. It’s a piledriver variant he calls the “Revolutionary Thrill”. Marcus now reaching down for Blade and he’s done it before, spiking all 290 pounds of the challenger! With that Blade drops to one knee and slams his good arm upwards, driving his forearm into Marion’s crotch, and the crowd’s chants of “Die-Marion-Die” are washed over with a scream of hope. Marion’s face contorts in pain, and The Outlaw rises up like a man possessed. He grabs Marion by the back of the neck with his good arm and runs and tosses him face first into the cage. Marion bounces off right into Greyson who jacks him with a huge left hook and then grabs him again and tosses him face first into the steel. Now when Marion rebounds, he is opened up, and Greyson does it for a third time and on the rebound he leaps and brings Marion down with the Outlaw Cutter! The crowd marks huge for this one time finisher and Greyson rolls back on a bleeding champion … Mark Perletta: Blade has the cover! One Two Thre-NO! Blade didn’t have the leg hooked and Marion slips out of the move. Greyson now pushing himself to his feet and Marion is trying to stand as well. Marion is up and here comes The Outlaw! He slams a shot into Marion’s spine and now he scoops Marion over his shoulder and holds him over his shoulder and … he gets a running start and slams him head first into the cage! He holds on to him and comes back with a big powerslam! The Outlaw has come roaring back and now Marion is on the run! Look at Marion staggering off into the corner! Joey C: It has to be a trap! Marcus is just suckering him in here to get him back where he wants him. Mark Perletta: It better be because Marion now has no place to run, and no place to hide! The Outlaw moves in as Marcus leaps out of the corner at Blade, trying to go for that limp arm, but The Outlaw side steps him and hits a back handed blow, knocking Marion backwards to the ropes. The Outlaw steps through and whips Marcus across the ring, and Marion comes off on the rebound and Blade catches him with a back elbow shot, and then heaves Marion up with his good arm bearing the majority of the weight. He stalls there holding Marion high in the air and the fans begin cheering that display of power before he falls back and finishing off the vertical suplex. The adrenaline is starting to flow as Blade brings Marion up by the head and then tosses him again head first into the cage, and on the rebound boots him in the breadbasket. Greyson wraps Marcus around the waist from a standing headscissors… heaves him up into a powerbomb position… Blade steps… HE POWERBOMBS MARION INTO THE CAGE! Marcus slams into the steel and slides off between the cage and the ropes, and then Greyson drags him back under and signals that this is the end. He drags Marion to the center of the ring, and lifts him up into a fireman’s carry and drops back with the patented Outlaw Drop! The crowd roars as it connects, sensing the end is near. Mark Perletta: The Outlaw is stalking Marcus Marion now with the Killshot! The fans are on their feet and … Marcus is staggering up … Blade now charging and … MARION DODGES! The Outlaw turns and Marcus hits him with a standing dropkick! The Outlaw goes down, and now Marion pulls him up … double underhook and … there’s the DDT! It’s like the life was sucked right out of this crowd Joey! Joey C: Ha! Even after that barrage Marion is still standing and fighting The Outlaw! Work that arm and then take him down with a bang Marcus! Bury that wannabe in the middle of the ring. Marcus Marion tries the Irish whip but is reversed into the buckles. The Outlaw comes in but meets a foot. Marion snares the arm and goes to the top rope, and leaps off … spinning around he spike Blade’s arm to the canvas with the tornado armbreaker! Marion then rolls Blade up from behind and grabs Greyson’s pants! Mark Perletta: MARION WITH THE PANTS CLASPED! ONE TWO THRE-NO! Mark Perletta: Some how … some way … The Outlaw kicked out! Joey C: Even I’m shocked at that Marky … both men are bleeding and we’ve been doing strong now for around forty minutes! However, the longer this goes I think it has to favor Marcus Marion. He’s not carrying the size and he’s in great shape. Mark Perletta: Favor Marcus Marion? Are you serious? The Outlaw easily lasted this long with Mason Bishop before Marion interfered and in OPW he won multiple matches spanning 60 minutes. Joey C: We’ll just have to wait and see, then, won’t we! Marcus Marion tosses Blade into the corner with an Irish whip, and he follows it up with a clothesline in the corner to stun the challenge. He then lifts Greyson and proceeds to take him up the buckles. Once seated on the top rope, he levels Greyson with a series of hard lefts and rights causing The Outlaw to sway a bit on the top level. Marion begins crawling up and forces Blade into the corner, using the cage to help prop up The Outlaw. He then crawls up with Blade on the ropes … and motions! Mark Perletta: OH MY GOD … HE’S GOING TO PILEDRIVE BLADE OFF THE TOP … IT’S A TOP ROPE REVOLUTIONARY THRILL! Joey C: INNOVATATION … I TOLD YOU MARKY! The “Die-Marion-Die” chants have never been louder as he slaps Greyson hard across the mouth, however, as he does … Greyson grabs the cage for balance, stalling Marion and shaking him off balance! Blade then uppercuts Marcus, knocking him from the top rope to the canvas! The fans roar as The Outlaw comes back one more time … and he crouches as Marion tries to get up and he heads back towards the corner as Greyson leaps … Mark Perletta: BLADE LEAPS AND IT’S A … KILLSHOT FROM THE TOP ROPE! HE SPEARS MARION FROM THE TOP! Joey C: No Marion had him … Mark Perletta: The fans here in Chicago are on their feet as Greyson staggers to his feet, that injured arm hanging limp at his side … Marion now staggering up as well … Blade sizes him up! Joey C: STAY DOWN MARCUS! He charges …AND HE CONNECTS WITH THE KILLSHOT TO MARION’S BACK … DOWN GOES MARION! DOWN GOES MARION! The impact of the blow to the spine rocks Marion’s body as Greyson crashes to the canvas. This is his opportunity, and he pushes himself up and he rolls over on Marion hooking the leg! Mark Perletta: THE OUTLAW ROLLING OVER AND HE MAKES THE COVER … ONE! TWO!! Joey C: NO! Mark Perletta: YES! THREE! WE HAVE A NEW LEGACY CHAMPION JOEY AND HIS NAME IS GREYSON BLADE! Winner by PINFALL and NEW World Heavyweight
Champion : The Outlaw slowly rolls off of Marion’s body as the crowd explodes in a roar of triumph with his arm raised in bloody victory. Jen X: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match by pinfall and NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW LEGACY CHAMION … THE OUTLAW GREYSON BLADE! “Outlaw Torn” blasts across the PA system of the arena and the fans are now on their feet as the cage door opens, and The Outlaw slowly exits the cage, and the LEGACY Title is handed to him and even a man as tough as The Outlaw can’t help but finally … smile. He looks around at the sea of LEGACY fans chanting “Blade” over and over again and he nods, and with that he begins to ascend the steel structure. As he reaches the top, he unbuckles the belt and with two arms holds it high over his head and the crowd ERUPTS! Mark Perletta: Three long years it took him, Joey… three long years of fighting back after losing his family, losing his position in the sport, and now the journey is over. The Outlaw has returned to the position where has always belonged… CHAMPION! Joey C: Well now that he's got the belt, we'll see how long he can hold on to it, now that Marcus Marion will obviously be doing whatever he can to get the belt back. Mark Perletta: Well that's going to have to wait at least a couple of weeks. Joey C: You'd better believe he'll be trying. Mark Perletta: Ladies and Gentlemen we've run out of time for tonight's action filled broadcast, so for Joey C, this is Mark Perletta saying thank you for watching Rise of the Elite 3 and look for the return of The LEGACY Tour in about ten days…but for now goodnight everyone! With that the camera closes in on The Outlaw as he celebrates looking to the crowd and then to the heavens with the gold, and we hear the theme continue to play … So on I wait my whole lifetime for you The more I search, the more my need for you You make me smash the clock and feel And the scene … fades to black. |
