Shockwave
5.11.2006

The LEGACY Tour logo shows up on a black screen and it fades out as "Awake" by Godsmack starts to play, and clips from the past three weeks replace it. The first footage shown is from the match between the Odd Cousins and the Revenge of the Nerds, which fades out into a shot of Rawlings and Turner with the World Tag Team Titles. We then see shots of John Thomas fighting Mike Dexter, Tim Jones, and then Creed, that clip followed up by a clip of Creed hitting the REIGN OF SIN on John Thomas and then lifting his newly won Television Title onto his shoulder.

Clips from the match between VooDoo and Creed are shown next, ending with shots of Cronos interfering in the match, brawling a bit with each of the two men involved, and then escaping. The clips that follow are from the National Title match in which Gryffin Anselm slugged it out against an already injured Greyson Blade. A clip of Marcus Marion hitting Greyson in the head with the World Heavyweight Championship preceeds a clip of Gryffin picking up the win and being given the National Title. A still shot of Gryffin standing over Greyson with the belt in hand is shown, and then fades out into a black and white shot of Chivalric watching high above the ring from the rafters.

Next we see a clip of Dan Stein talking to Herbert J Moxley backstage from last week, which is followed by a clip of the Sky High Exhibition Match with Dan Stein and Stephen Rawlings battling, seeing clips of each of them using their own style of offense. We then see Jimmy Smith and Tim Jones from the tag match they had last week, a clip that ends with Marcus Marion putting Jimmy Smith into the camel clutch. The last image we see before the show officially opens: Marcus Marion standing in the middle of the ring with the World Heavyweight Championship belt over his shoulder, grinning from ear to ear, Susan and Nicole standing behind him on either side.

THE CHAMP SPEAKS, CHANGES MADE

This week's LEGACY Shockwave opens up with that all too familiar tune of “Set It Off” courtesy of Audioslave blares itself over the PA system. Boys and girls, I think you’re going to wanna go mime on this one and close your ears and mouth. The pink strobe lights molest the crowd, the guitar rift hits an all-time high reaching deaf-tone levels. The LEGACY Vision opens up to showcase Jenna Jameson, in suggestive shots in random back of the store adult ‘films’. Sounds of moaning and groaning can be heard, but it’s all left up to the crowd’s imagination, as no body on body contact is ever shown, just the tease.

The chants of: WE WANT GREYSON! ring out. Batting solo, the LEGACY Heavyweight Champion comes out from the entrance curtain and is greeted to savage boo’s and heckling from the crowd. Marion with that frat-boy yellow polo shirt, shakes his head, with no Media Whores to either side of him, he raises a mic to his lips and speaks as he walks down the steel entrance ramp towards the ring, the big belt over his shoulder.

Marcus Marion: If you miscreants can take a chill pill for a few seconds, theirs something we NEED to talk about. It’s a damn shame when YOUR LEGACY Heavyweight Champion is trading in his usual bag of insults for a piece of empathy. Last week after the broadcast, something heart wrenching happened. Susan Rhodes, all 120lbs of her, was sent through a car windshield, by the ‘common man’ Greyson Blade. A man built for no less than the gridiron, got his rocks off of putting a poor, absent-minded, delicate FLOWER through a damn Volvo. To Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes, I feel your pain.

As Marcus walks up the steel steps, the crowd begins to join together in a: WE WANT GREYSON!! WE WANT GREYSON!! recycled clapping chant. Marion puts a hand on the golden face of his trophy as he walks down the ring apron. Once in the ring, Marion surveys the crowd for a minute, rubbing his hands through his platinum blonde hair.

Marcus Marion: I want Greyson too. I REALLY do, in the back of a squad car on his way to a public execution, but since none of you have neither the forum, nor the manpower to make these kind of miracles happen, guess we’ll just have to pass on grass. I want to make ONE thing perfectly clear, their WILL be a championship title match tonight.

The fans cheer at this prospect, but knowing Marion well enough by now how long could the fantasy really play out?

Marcus Marion: Just not involving The True Revolutionary and The Domestic Abuser, Greyson Blade. In Saudi Arabia, this sad excuse for a chromosome for assaulting the weaker sex would be the city camel, NOT being rewarded for putting a woman into a damn coma.

The fans cheer loudly, and you have to wonder how sick these people REALLY are, cheering that a woman got put through fiberglass? We as a people, do we have any values?

Marcus Marion: Earlier tonight I spoke with the front office here in LEGACY and voiced my concerns about the fact that they were willing to give Greyson Blade a chance to fight for the World Heavyweight Title a week after he nearly KILLED poor Susan Rhodes. They agreed that he shouldn't be rewarded for those actions, and as YOUR World Heavyweight Champion, I was under no obligation to fight him, at least not this week anyway. They did say, however, that since they promised a World Heavyweight Title Match tonight, that there would be one... and they let me choose my opponent.

Marion pauses a moment.

Marcus Marion: There is one man in this organization that has spent too much time sitting in time out, and practically being IGNORED by the rest of humanity, let alone LEGACY. One man who came within a teardrop of defeating the man, I sent out to pasture for this very belt slung over my shoulder now. History, tends to forget actual events, and actual faces. Not me. In this ring tonight “The Pretty Boy” John Page, will face me for all the marbles. The LEGACY Heavyweight Championship. Blade, I hope you’re drowning your sorrows in some Ben & Jerry’s right now because just like John Page and his World Heavyweight Title Match tonight, you more than EARNED IT!

Having finished all he wanted to say, Marion tosses the microphone out of the ring at the ring announcer and then heads back up the ramp as "Set It Off" by Audioslave once again hits the speakers as Marcus Marion heads backstage to get ready for his match..

TONIGHT'S LINEUP

The show opens on a shot of Mark Perletta and Joey C sitting behind a desk that resembles what you would see anchors sit behind in the studio of a sports news program such as Sports Center. Behind them is an elaborate backdrop which includes the LEGACY Tour logo.

Mark Perletta: Welcome to another LEGACY Tour edition of Shockwave, as always I'm your host, Mark Perletta, and sitting behind this nice anchor's desk for tonight's recap, once again, is the irreplaceable Joey C.

Joey C: Damn right I'm irreplaceable. They tried that one time and it just didn't work. You're a good play-by-play, guy, Marky, one of the best in the business, but to make for a complete broadcast team, you need someone as cool and charismatic as I am, someone who's willing to speak his mind, give his opinions about whatever he wants, and I'll tell you this, they won't fire me a second time. They saw what happened to the ratings when they got rid of me the first time.

Mark Perletta: Either way I'm glad to have you here at the desk, but we have a great show here tonight and we need to start rolling on with some things...

Joey C: And we need to keep on track with things this week, especially considering how chaotic things got last week.

Mark Perletta: Well before we continue on with things tonight, I feel like I need to mention that with all the great action you have in store on this edition of Shockwave, two of the matches originally booked for tonight's show will not take place.

Joey C: And that's why the bookings always say "Card Subject to Change", so there's no chance of any refunds being given.

Mark Perletta: Well based on the matches that did take place, I'd say that no one was asking for a refund. We saw at the top of the show that the World Heavyweight Title Match was taken off of the show tonight after what Greyson Blade did to Susan Rhodes last week, albeit it was on accident as he was going to take out Marcus Marion at the time. The other match that was rescheduled from tonight's show... we'll get to that in a couple of minutes.

Joey C: Since that situation went down backstage just after the show was starting to get under way, how about we just get to it right now?

BACKSTAGE

Backstage, Nicholas Creed makes his way through the corridor with the LEGACY Television Championship around his waist. He’s fully draped in his ring gear, considering he has a match with Moxley a little later in the evening to defend the TV title.

BANG

Creed stops in his tracks and takes a few steps back. Curiously, he peers into the cafeteria to find the source of the noise. He smiles upon seeing Cronos Diamante kick the Pepsi machine. Creed slowly steps into the room just as Diamante puts a second dollar into the machine. Again, no luck.

SLAM!!

Creed slams his fist into the machine, sending two cans of the beverage rolling into the tray below. Diamante jerks his head around in surprise.

Creed: Logic and mind games don’t work on everything.

Cronos lifts his head while he picks up both Pepsi cans and sneers in the direction of Creed but hands his "enemy" a can anyway. Cronos pops the tab and takes a long swig; almost enough to drain the entire can.

Cronos Diamante: Neither does your brute force, but you don’t see me telling you that.

Creed takes the full can of Pepsi and tosses it toward the nearby trash bin. He just scoffs.

Nicholas Creed: It’ll work fine in beating your bitch ass as soon as you stop being a little pussy and step into the ring with me.

Cronos Diamante: You’re not worth my time, Nick.

Cronos finishes off the Pepsi and tosses his Pepsi can in the same bin Creed did. He notices the people nearby taking all the effort to walk by with a large distance between the two superstars.

Cronos Diamante: I’ll tell you what though… you stick to that filler title of yours and you get the fuck out of Voodoo and I’s business and I might consider giving you a match when I’m done with him. Savvy?

Creed smiles brightly.

Nicholas Creed: Oh will you? Oh, well, in that case… Let me just go off and leave you guys alone.

The smile melts from his face as his eyebrows sink.

Nicholas Creed: Let me explain a little something to you, gramps. When you interfered in my match with Voodoo, you might have just as well attacked me. Because when you attacked him, you robbed me of my chance to give him what he had coming to him for attacking me back in TTW. That means I now owe you too. And if you think I’m forgetting… If you think I’m just letting that slide, you got another thing coming. Voodoo got something coming to him and now you do too. Know what I mean?

Cronos looks down toward the floor, nodding his head.

Cronos Diamante: Yeah, I know what you mean.

With that, Cronos just SLAPS Creed across the face slapping the taste out of his mouth. Creed’s head jerks around and he pauses as the right side of his face begins to flood with color. In retaliation, Creed dives forward and spears Cronos into the soda machine, kneeing and swinging punches, most of which are blocked by Cronos arms.

Having heard things start to develop from a little ways down the hall, VooDoo shows up he grabs SIN and nails him in the back a couple of times before throwing him off of Cronos, sending him right into one of the catering tables, causing Creed to barrel right through the industrial strength stainless steel coffee maker.

As VooDoo lays into Cronos with repeated stomps, there is a flurry of action as LEGACY officials run in and break up the brawl, three of them getting in between VooDoo and Cronos, and two of them keeping Creed, whose lip, cheek and ear are bleeding from a head-first run-in with the coffee maker, from continuing the fight. Smith Cartwright catches up to the five LEGACY officials with two of his own, and he looks at the three men with disappointment and anger.

Smith Cartwright: Week after week, it seems like the three of you always have something going on backstage, and since you can't seem to cool things down on your own, here's what we're going to do: all three of you are being sent home tonight as of RIGHT NOW! Two of these LEGACY officials will be assigned to each of you to make sure that you leave the arena, and any one of you who doesn't comply with that will be fined a month's salary.

Smith looks into the eyes of each of the three of them to make sure they understand he's not kidding.

Smith Cartwright: Any of the three of you who decides to take a swing at one of the LEGACY officials or attack them in any other way... you'll be not only suspended for a month, but you'll be fined six month's salary. And don't just think that you can do that and then show up on another organization's show, you've all got "no compete" clauses in your contracts, and showing up in another organization would cost you significantly.

Cartwright looks over at Cronos and VooDoo.

Smith Cartwright: There's a long history between the two of you, and because it seems like you can't wait a couple more weeks for Rise of the Elite 3, you two are going to square off, one-on-one, next week on Shockwave!

Cartwright then turns and looks at Creed.

Smith Cartwright: As for you, your World Television Title defense is going to have to wait a week, but you WILL be defending it against Herbert J Moxley next week.

The view switches back to a two-shot of Joey C and Mark Perletta.

Mark Perletta: Well with Creed being sent home for the evening to prevent further backstage incidents like this one, Smith Cartwright was forced to post-pone the Television Title Match and take it off of tonight's card, but as we saw he did book two new matches in the process.

Joey C: That's right, and although we don't have the footage of it, Smith Cartwright sent a messenger to notify Herbert J Moxley that because his Television Title shot got pushed back to next week, instead of giving Moxley the night off tonight, The Revenge of the Nerds would be teaming up to take on Conor McLellan and Dan Stein. And we also heard that in order to deal with this situation between Cronos Diamante and VooDoo that never seems to die down at all, Smith Cartwright decided that those two will meet in the ring next week one-on-one.

Mark Perletta: Both of those matches sound like they have the potential to be great matches. Our first match of tonight's show saw the debut of not just one new competitor, but instead we got the debut of two new wrestlers on the LEGACY Tour as things got kicked off with a Sky High Exhibition match, and folks, for the second week in a row, the Sky High Exhibition Match doesn't necessarily seem like any of the matches from the first two Sky High Cups.

Joey C: I had seen tapes of Diego de Cardenas, but up until this match I had never heard of anyone in this business calling themself "Thai Pay", and before the match was over, I understood why.

SKY HIGH EXHIBITION MATCH
Thai Pay vs Diego de Cardenas

With the masked luchador Diego de Cardenas in the ring and awaiting his opponent, the sound of a small motor revving up was heard over the P.A. system, followed by the squeel of tires, which was then followed by "Crazy Train", though when the lyrics started up, it was obvious that despite the nice guitar work, Ozzy Osbourne was not the one singing.

Suddenly a man dressed in a black and green biker outfit and a green lucha libre mask jetted out from the entrance curtain on a dirt bike, and halfway down to the ring, the man hopped up to where he was standing on the seat of the dirt bike, and just before he got to the ring, he bent at the knees and jumped up into the air, shoving the bike down to the ground, sliding to a hault, the man just barely landing on the ring apron before hopping into the ring over the top rope.

Mark Perletta: Now as this match got started, it really made me wonder whether or not anyone explained the concept of the Sky High Cup to the man calling himself "Thai Pay", because in the first two minutes of the match, he nearly got himself disqualified three times.

Joey C: It probably would've happened, too, because "Thai Pay" didn't seem to get the idea, and the only thing that kept him from continuing on like he was doing was because Diego de Cardenas was able to take control of the match.

Mark Perletta: Part of me wondered whether or not there was a language barrier issue involved with why "Thai Pay" wasn't heeding the referee's warnings, but as we would find out later in the match, there was no language barrier.

Joey C: No, no there wasn't.

Mark Perletta: With the match in the hands of de Cardenas, we were treated to some actual Sky High type of action, with Diego controlling the flow of things with a series of dropkicks and reversals and even a few high risk maneuvers using the top rope.

Joey C: The match didn't go completely in favor of Diego de Cardenas after he first took control, though.

Mark Perletta: We did get to see a glimpse of some regular moves by "Thai Pay", which mostly consisted of high energy, continuous attacks and slams. Nothing too technical, but it was more consistant with what you'd expect to see in a Sky High match rather than in, say, a brawling type of atmosphere.

Joey C: Things didn't end on a note befitting of a Sky High Exhibition, however.

Start : Footage from the Match

With Thai Pay laid out on the mat, Diego de Cardenas gets to the outside of the ring, out onto the apron where he waits. As Thai Pay starts to get to his feet, unaware of his surroundings, Diego de Cardenas holds on to the top rope, then leaps up into the air, lands his feet on the top rope, then he SPRINGS OFF towards the middle of the ring, wrapping his legs around the neck of Thai Pay, and then he SPINS AROUND to the side, whipping his opponent around and down to the mat with a flying head scissors takedown.

Getting back to his feet, Diego takes Thai Pay by the arm and slowly starts to help him to his feet so he can finish off this match properly when suddenly Thai Pay thrusts upwards with a low blow, and then he grabs Diego by the head, sets him up vertically upside-down, and then he drops him onto his head with a piledriver and drops down to the mat, hooking the leg, going for the pinfall.

When Thai Pay hears the bell ring, he jumps up off the mat and rips off his luchador mask, revealing a blonde hair, blue eyes American wrestler, and he starts laughing in delight. That is, until the referee goes over and tells him what the true result of the match was.

Winner as a result of a DISQUALIFICATION : Diego de Cardenas

Even after having it explained to him that a low blow is an illegal maneuver, the now de-masked "Thai Pay" doesn't seem to understand why he got disqualified, and sensing it's useless to try to explain further, the referee just leaves the ring, raising the hand of Diego de Cardenas, who is now outside the ring, signalling victory in his LEGACY Tour debut.

Mark Perletta: As we found out, "Thai Pay" was none other than former SWA roster member "Only Way" Aaron Beaudway, a competitor known more for his out of the ring antics than for his in-ring abilities.

Joey C: Just like Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn, this Jackass has found ways to be popular with the fans irregardless of how he does in the ring, and now it looks like he's involved with the LEGACY Tour.

Mark Perletta: Well honestly I wouldn't expect to see him at Rise of the Elite 3 in the Sky High Cup Match, given that historically the Sky High Cup has been about serious wrestling and true competition, two things that Beaudway doesn't seem to appreciate.

Joey C: You know what I appreciate, I appreciate the show Nip / Tuck on FX. Trying to figure out who that creepy guy is going around and screwing up all the good plastic surgery. For anyone not watching that show, the first two seasons are available, you can buy it online, probably available on either the Blockbuster or Netflix services. I wouldn't know because I've seen them all already.

Nip / Tuck. Only on FX.

BACKSTAGE

When we come back from the commercial, D.J. Cassidy and Smith Cartwright are standing backstage, apparently already in the midst of a conversation.

Smith Cartwright: So I realize he's probably going to be a little bummed out, and I can't afford to spend the next forty minutes with him crying on my shoulder, so if you could be the one to go let him know, I'd really appreciate it. I've got a show to help run and I can't take that chance.

Cassidy nods and Cartwright pats him on the back before walking off, and then after remaining there for a moment, Cassidy then head off down the hallway. As he turns a corner, his head lowered a bit as he thinks of a way to deliver the bad news, he doesn't even notice as he nearly runs head-on into Jake Dominion. Jake, on the other hand, notices Cassidy just in time and he quickly side-steps to evade him. Angered by Cassidy's lack of attention given to where he's going, Dominion stops and looks at Cassidy, who apparently has just realized that Dominion is standing there.

Jake Dominion: Watch where you're going rook', do ya know how much this Armani suit costs? Oh wait, aren't you that goofball that hangs out with that four-eyed geek? The nerd boys, that's right, shouldn't you be meeting up with your nerd and figuring out how to get virtually laid? Or better yet, going to create one of them fem-bots since you can't get real chicks?

Walking backwards in the direction he was originally headed when Cassidy nearly ran into him, J.D. Ice starts to shake his head out of disbelieve and disgust.

Jake Dominion: Nevermind, you're not worth my time...

After watching Dominion walk out of sight and not return for an altercation, D.J. Cassidy walks down the hallway and soon finds himself outside of his locker room door. After giving it one final moment's thought as to how to break the news, he walks on into the locker room to find Moxley sitting on a chair, nodding his head back and forth to a song that's stuck in his head.

D.J. Cassidy: Herbie Jay, there's something I need to tell you, and you're not going to like it... you're not going to like it one bit.

Moxley seems extremely worried.

Herbert J Moxley: Wait... is this news worse than when they cancelled the greatest television show of all time, "Freaks and Geeks", starring the dashing Linda Cardellini and a young James Dean-esque James Franco, not to mention my heroes and comedic genii that are John Francis Daley, Samm Levine, and Martin Starr? Because I don't want anything that bad ruining my World Television Title Match Night. Wait... is this news worse than when they discontinued the lego knights ninja series? Biggest mistake ever!!

Cassidy shakes his head "no".

D.J. Cassidy: No, this isn't that bad. It's really not bad at all, really, when you consider the full scope of what I'm going to tell you. Sure, it's disappointing, but in all honesty the fact that they rescheduled your World Television Title Match until next week because Creed got sent home for a brawl he had with Cronos and VooDoo earlier tonight...

Moxley interrupts.

Moxley: Back up the 8-track and put it in neutral - did you say Creed got sent home? I thought he was supposed to be some kind of tough guy who doesn't take crap from anyone - but if he's letting people send him home... could this mean he fears the power of Moxley?

D.J. Cassidy: Well, uh, maybe? Either way the match got post-poned until next week, so you still get the World Television Title shot. And Tonight... we've got a match... a tag match, and it's against Conor McLellan and Dan Stein.

The news takes a bit of time to comprehend, so Moxley stands there in silence, thinking about the ramifications of not only having his World Television Title Match delayed a week, but also about getting into the ring against Stein and Moxley. A look of solemn acceptance on his face, Moxley nods his head.

Moxley: Well then, it'll be good to take a few cracks at Conor. I still can't recite the alphabet when i push down on that bump on my scalp from that wrench shot.

D.J. Cassidy: And Stein?

Herb sighs.

Moxley: Lets face it... He's been mouthing off a bit lately... so maybe this is a blessing in a disguise. It will give us a chance to knock some sense into him.

DJ nods in agreement and then consoles Moxley with a pat on the shoulder.

ELSEWHERE BACKSTAGE

The camera cuts backstage where we see John Thomas walking down the corridor, looking for a particular locker room door. After finding it, he knocks twice and then pushes the door open, holding it there with his shoulder. Standing across the locker room from him is Eric Wolfson. Looking over to see who just showed up, expecting it to be either Creed or Jake Dominion, Wolfson is a bit surprised by how brash John Thomas is acting.

John Thomas: So, what's the scoop? You going to help make ME famous this week by coming out of retirement and tapping out to me, or are you just going to sit back and play the old "I'm a Hall of Famer, I have nothing left to prove" card?

Wolfson lets out a small laugh.

Eric Wolfson: The way I see it, there's not much reason for me to step back in that ring tonight. I mean, if you were to have found yourself a partner, well then, I'm not just going to let Jake go into a 2-on-1 situation. Thing is, I walked backstage earlier tonight as people were getting ready for the show. I heard the talk. Everyone is wondering who your tag team partner is going to be. Everyone. Frankly I don't think you found yourself a partner who was willing to throw his career away by aligning themselves with you against Jake Dominion and me.

John Thomas: Is that so? You really don't think I found myself a partner?

Wolfson nods.

Eric Wolfson: That's what I'm saying.

There's a tense, "stand off" type of moment, despite the two standing on opposite sides of the locker room. Suddenly Jake Dominion shows up behind John, and as Wolfson's line of sight changes, John takes a step further into the locker room and looks back into the hallway to see Dominion standing there. With John moved out of his way, Jake Dominion walks on into the locker room, past John, walking over towards Wolfson, who now has a cocky look on his face, knowing that now they have John out numbered.

Jake Dominion: So... what's going on, fellas?

John Thomas: We were just discussing how Eric, here, was thinking about staying retired and putting you into a handicap match in tonight's main event.

Eric Wolfson: Actually I was telling John that if he had a partner, which I don't think he does, that I'd make my return tonight.

John Thomas: Aside from ruining the surprise as to who my partner is for tonight, it seems like you and I are at an impasse, but I tell you what. You don't think I have a partner? Fine. Show up in the main event anyway, and if I don't have a partner, then what do you have to lose? I'm the one who would be in a handicap match at that point. Basically your decision, Eric, is whether or not you want to take the chances of putting Jake into a handicap match... or if you want to possibly force ME into that situation.

Another tense, silent moment, but then Wolfson starts nodding his head, and he looks over at Dominion, then back at Thomas.

Eric Wolfson: You know what? You sold me. I'll be there, and you'd better show up with a partner, because otherwise you're wasting my time.

A grin comes over John's face.

John Thomas: Oh trust me, I'm showing up with a partner for the main event, and I just hope that you don't have too much ring rust.

At that, John backs out of the locker room, keeping his eyes on Wolfson and Dominion, and then the view cuts back to the shot of Mark Perletta and Joey C back in the studio.

Mark Perletta: And so Eric Wolfson confirmed the fact that he would be making his return to active competition for tonight's main event, and John Thomas confirms that he does have a tag team partner, a partner who I was very excited and surprised to see.

Joey C: Well we can't go ruining that surprise, though, so we'll let you see more about that in the main event.

Mark Perletta: Scheduled next was a match which wasn't originally announced as part of the show but when he arrived at the arena tonight, Jimmy Smith took it upon himself to ask the front office for a match with former TTW World Champion "Chivalric" Mason Bishop in hopes of making a big splash here in LEGACY. Watch to see what happened.

Jimmy Smith vs Chivalric

The arena goes completely dark and "Oceanic Movement" by Ion Dissonance hits the P.A. system, and the LEGACY Vision lights up, but instead of video footage, we just see static. Mixed in with the static are two second black and white clips of Chivalric in matches from the past, though they come and go so quickly that we don't get to really see much of what's going on.

Mark Perletta: Chivalric making his way down to the ring in his typical "creepy" fashion, and although he's not wearing the locust costume like he did a year ago, he's still as strange and mysterious as he was back then.

Joey C: And just as dangerous, too. Jimmy Smith should probably have picked a different opponent to have his LEGACY Tour singles match debut against.

Mark Perletta: Having a match against a former World Champion can do wonders for a career, but something tells me that Big Jimmy didn't do enough research on this one before he made the challenge. That said it didn't end up mattering, though. Once Mason Bishop got into the ring and the lights went up, we expected to have Jimmy Smith's arrival, but that's not what we got.

With Chivalric waiting for his opponent, the LEGACY Vision flickered and ended up backstage to find Jimmy Smith laid out on the floor a few feet from the gorilla position, holding his jaw. As the camera zooms out we see that the man standing over Big Jimmy is Gryffin Anselm, a determined and angry look on his face. With the National Title over his shoulder, Gryffin makes his way up the steps and into the gorilla position and without any music or announcement of arrival, Anselm walks through the curtain and out onto the entrance stage, having grabbed a microphone from a production table just prior to showing up in front of the live crowd. Without wasting a moment, Gryffin starts addressing Chivalric as he slowly stalks down the entrance ramp.

Gryffin Anselm: No offense to Mr. Former Pornstar back there, but this thing between you and me, Mason, it needs to get settled. Now.

The excitement level amongst the crowd picks up a notch or two.

Gryffin Anselm: You like to hang out in boiler rooms or watch things from the rafters. I know how you like to stalk your opponents, Chiv, I know how you like to pick your spots to avoid having to have any REAL confrontations without things being completely on your terms, without giving yourself the advantage... but here we are, level playing field.

Keeping his eyes on Chivalric, Gryffin walks a few steps without saying a word, and then he continues.

Gryffin Anselm: Whatever you thought was going to continue between you and Greyson, you're wrong. Greyson's got bigger fish to fry right now, and I'm making it my business to get rid of all his distractions so he can take the World Title from our undeserving champ. And that means that as of right now...

Gryffin hops up onto the ring apron.

Gryffin Anselm: ...I become your problem.

Gryffin ducks underneath the top rope and starts to enter the ring, but as he does the lights go completely dark all over the arena, the sound of static is heard all over the speakers, and when the lights come back up, Chivalric is gone, leaving Gryffin alone in the middle of the ring. The footage then cuts back to the shot of Perletta and Joey C sitting behind the broadcaster's table.

Mark Perletta: An interesting turn of events there with Gryffin Anselm laying out Jimmy Smith backstage to get a chance to meet up with Chivalric face to face, but Mason Bishop escapes before Anselm can get to him.

Joey C: Just more mind games from Chivalric, an approach that has proven quite effective so far in this organization, as he's a former 2-time Midwest Champion as well as a former World Heavyweight Champion. Chivalric is not to be taken lightly.

Mark Perletta: I don't get the idea that Gryffin Anselm is taking him lightly, and it's interesting to see Gryffin approach Chivalric like this. Back at INVITE TO ANARCHY a few months ago, Chivalric defeated Greyson Blade, albeit with help from Marcus Marion, in a Buried Alive Match.

Joey C: Following INVITE, it seemed as though Chivalric was not done with Greyson Blade, but apparently Gryffin Anselm had other plans.

Mark Perletta: As part of a plan that he says is to help Greyson Blade focus on Marcus Marion, Gryffin Anselm attempted to get Chivalric's attention diverted towards himself a couple weeks after INVITE, but two weeks ago when Gryffin Anselm defeated Greyson Blade, I understand that Gryffin Anselm wasn't too happy about the fact that Chivalric was watching things from the rafter, and tonight, I guess he tried to reinforce the fact that Chivalric was going to have to deal with Gryffin Anselm before he got another opportunity to go after Greyson Blade again.

Joey C: Well we'll see how that all works out, Marky, because Chivalric is the type of guy where if he has his mind set on something, he usually goes after it 110%.

Mark Perletta: That he does, but the look I saw in Chivalric's eyes tonight... I think he might be considering making a detour and dealing with Gryffin before he moves on to Greyson Blade. The LEGACY Tour National Champion is not exactly a push-over, however, and Chivalric might have more than he can handle if he's not completely focussed. Folks, at the request of Marcus Marion, the World Heavyweight Title match is next, being booked as what he would like to be considered as the "Early Main Event", wanting the chance to leave tonight's show early to miss traffic.

Joey C: Look, the fact is that Marcus Marion is teaching Greyson Blade a lesson tonight about how to treat women, and as a result, the fans are undoubtedly going to be upset with him that they're going to have to wait a while before seeing him defend the belt against Blade. The last thing the True Revolutionary needs is for his fans to mob him on his way out of the arena, especially on top of what went down last week.

Mark Perletta: I think they might also be a bit upset about the fact that Marion's chosen opponent to "defend" the belt agains tonight is John Page, a key member in the High Society faction. This is obviously a match that Marion set up to be a cake-walk title defense and you know it, Joey.

Joey C: Whoa, now hold on just a minute. This is the same John Page who did a damn good job in a match just a couple months ago against Devastation, NEARLY becoming the World Heavyweight Champion.

Mark Perletta: The match is up next, and I'll leave it up to the viewers to decide what they think about how this match played out, though I'm sure just knowing who is competing in this match, the fans know exactly what to expect.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
John Page vs Marcus Marion (c)

Mark Perletta: Right from the start this match got off to a slow pace, with Page and Marion locking each other in headlocks, reversing out of them, then trading irish whips and reversals, and it was quite obvious that they weren't trying to have an overly competitive match.

Joey C: Granted they weren't trying to beat the holy hell out of each other, but they were showing off more of their technical wrestling ability.

Mark Perletta: Both of them know their fair share of moves, I won't take that away from them, but this was supposed to be a World Heavyweight Title Match, Joey, not some sparring session, and that's exactly what it turned into.

Joey C: This was every bit as classic a match as most of the Sky High Cup Invitational matches were.

Mark Perletta: I totally disagree with that statement. Sure, Marcus Marion and John Page used a lot of different moves and reversed things up, that much is fairly typical of Sky High Cup competition, but some of those matches got fairly heated, and there were a number of times where guys from the Sky High Cup would end up needing to visit the trainer after those matches, because those guys gave it their all, and THAT is what was missing from this match.

Joey C: Are you saying that John Page wasn't trying to win this match, Marky? Why would he NOT want to become the World Heavyweight Champion?!

Mark Perletta: I'm saying that despite getting some offense in this match, he definitely didn't try to take control of things or even go for the win. Admit it, Joey, John Page was NOT trying to take the World Heavyweight Title from Marcus Marion in tonight's match. It was a joke to them, and after the match, they were the ones laughing at all of us because they weaseled their way out of a match with Greyson Blade and into a cake walk title defense, if you can even call it that.

After having basically sparred for about five minutes, probably not even breaking a sweat, Marcus Marion attempts an irish whip, a move which John Page easily reverses, and on the return Page ducks down to go for a back body drop, but he clearly telegraphs the maneuver and Marion is able to stop short, and he grabs Page around the head in a front facelock, then switches up and grabs one of his arms. He spins around like he's going to go for a swinging neckbreaker, but once they're back to back, Marion locks their free arms together, leans forward and takes Page's shoulders down to the mat into a backslide, and the referee slides in and makes the count.

ONE.

TWO.

THREE.

Winner as a result of a pinfall and STILL World Heavyweight Champion
Marcus Marion

Obviously not happy with the plan enacted by Marion and Page, the fans boo as the bell rings, and Marion helps John Page to his feet, and the two shake hands, further insighting the crowd and increasing the intensity of the booing, some trash hitting the ring before the two make their exit.

AFTERMATH

With Marcus Marion and John Page walking back up the entrance ramp together, Smith Cartwright walks out from between the curtain, a mic in hand. Seeing the front office representative, the World Heavyweight Champion and The Pretty Boy stop dead in their tracks, realizing that an announcement is about to be made.

Smith Cartwright: Congratulations on a job well done, guys. I'm sure that's exactly the type of heated match the fans were thinking they were going to get when they showed up here tonight. John, you should be proud of yourself. You got a World Title Match against your good friend Marcus Marion... and you gave him a good warm up.

Marion and Page look a bit confused, but the excitement level in the crowd gets higher.

Smith Cartwright: You were let off the hook this week, as the front office felt like it was a bad move to give Blade a shot at the World Title a week after what he did to Susan Rhodes, but the front office also recognizes that what happened to Susan Rhodes was not only an accident on Greyson Blade's part... but it was also an indirect result of you trying to avoid him...

The excitement level in the crowd continues to grow, and Marion gets an incredulous look on his face as if to say he can't believe what he's hearing, with the possibility that what happened to Susan Rhodes might somehow be his fault.

Smith Cartwright: So next week, Marcus... your luck runs out. When the LEGACY Tour hits Knoxville... that belt will be on the line for the second week in a row... as you step into the ring with "The Outlaw" Greyson Blade!

The fans pop huge as they hear that next week, Marcus Marion will defend his World Heavyweight Title against "The Outlaw" Greyson Blade. Marcus Marion looks distraught, and the view changes back to the broadcast desk.

Mark Perletta: What a HUGE announcement made by Smith Cartwright, and it seems as though the match that was to happen this week WILL take place next week, and I don't think there's any way that Marcus Marion can weasel his way out of this one.

Joey C: I don't think he'll have to cancel next week's match because quite frankly, there's no reason to. Marcus Marion knows that he can defeat Greyson Blade, but he chose not to this week because he didn't want to set a bad precedent by giving a World Title shot to a man who attacks women, and to insinuate that Marcus Marion had anything to do with Susan Rhodes getting injured... it's just rediculous.

Mark Perletta: Well we don't have time to show the recap from last week, but I encourage people to go back and look at what happened last week, because I think if you watch it closely, you'll see that Susan Rhodes only ended up in the path of Greyson Blade's KILLSHOT because of Marcus Marion.

BACKSTAGE

Looking over the list on his clipboard, Smith Cartwright walks down the steps coming from the gorilla position, and as he walks down the backstage hallway trying to make sure everything is in order for the rest of the show, suddenly he is approached by Jimmy Smith.

Jimmy Smith: Cartwright, you gotta help me out, man. You were always my favorite announcer back in SWA, and so I KNOW you're going to help Big Jimmy out with this.

Cartwright doesn't seem to care for the flattery, but he stops walking, turns his attention away from his clipboard and listens to what Big Jimmy has to say.

Jimmy Smith: I think we both know that someday I'm going to be the franchise guy around here just like I was back in SWA, and from what I hear, the early ratings numbers show that with Big Jimmy on the show, that this LEGACY Tour already has more women viewers every week than any of the other two federations combined. That's why you have to set up this opportunity for me.

From the look on Smith's face, you can tell he's not amused.

Smith Cartwright: I have a show to help run, here, just tell me what you're getting at and stop beating around the bush.

Jimmy Smith: Next week, to go along with the World Heavyweight Title Match that has already been set up, I think you need to set up a match between me and Gryffin Anselm since he kept me from having my match tonight, and the National Title should be on the line to make sure he takes the match AND me seriously.

Cartwright stares at Jimmy for a minute, trying to gauge just how serious he is, and then he nods his head.

Smith Cartwright: You know what? Fine. Gryffin Anselm wants to attack you backstage and cancel one of our matches? You've got a shot at him AND the National Title for next week.

The view switches back to the broadcast position where Joey C and Mark Perletta sit behind the desk.

INTER-PROMOTIONAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Mark Perletta: As the night continues onward, next week's show continues to take shape. One of the matches that the front office has booked for next week they've asked me to announce, and it involves next week's Sky High Exhibition match.

Joey C: Now apparently this week when John Thomas met with Smith Cartwright in a segment you can find in the LEGACY promotional archives, one of the topics at hand was next week's match, namely whether John Thomas was willing to accept the booking.

Mark Perletta: From what I understand, as soon as John Thomas heard who his opponent would be, he jumped at the opportunity, so I can officially announce at this time that next week's Sky High Exhibition, the first inter-promotional match of the LEGACY Tour, will see a rematch more than two years in the making as John Thomas steps into the ring against none other than Jun Kenshin.

Joey C: When I heard the news I was completely surprised, but once I got the full story, it all made sense. Prior to the birth of True Talent Wrestling, back when everyone was basically either in DIWF or SHOOT Project, John Thomas and Jun Kenshin squared off as part of a three-man round robin to determine who the inaugural SHOOT Project Cruiserweight Champion would be.

Mark Perletta: That match ended in a dual pinfall with the shoulders of both John Thomas and Jun Kenshin pinned to the mat during a german suplex attempt. Jun Kenshin went on to become the first and only SHOOT Project Cruiserweight Champion, and when the front office approached Jun Kenshin with the opportunity to take part in Sky High in some form and they mentioned that they'd like him to be in a Sky High Exhibition match, he apparetnly looked at the roster and said that if there was any way that they could set up a match between he and John Thomas that he'd love to get into the ring with him again.

Joey C: Needless to say the front office made it happen, so next week we'll get to see that match as part of what is going to be an absolutely STACKED show.

Mark Perletta: As far as the full card is concerned, we'll get to that as we continue, but tonight's Main Event still has a bit of mystery to it, no one knowing exactly who John Thomas' partner is or whether he actually has a partner. From what I have heard, though, he got offers from more than one member of the roster in the past week, one of those offers coming in the midst of tonight's show.

AN OFFER IS MADE

A plastic Gatorade container in his hands, John Thomas walks through the back hallways of the arena. Suddenly the voice of Herbert J. Moxley calls out from behind him, getting his attention.

Moxley: Noble Thomas!

John turns around and waits as Moxley catches up.

John Thomas: Hey Mox.

Moxley: If you are in need of an ally to vanquish those two barbarians, I'd be most pleased to bear arms along side of you to defeat those evil-doers.

John smiles genuinely and gestures Mox to follow him.

John Thomas: I really do appreciate it, Mox.

John stops at a door, and positions Mox and gestures for him to open the door, keeping the camera in a position so we can't see. Moxley opens the door, we get a wide eyed reaction and a smile. From inside we hear a muffled "'Sup Mox", and Herbert turns as the door shuts.

John Thomas: So, I do appreciate the offer, but I won't be needing your services this evening... "noble sir".

Herbert nods, bows, and heads towards a vending machine. He suddenly scoffs in disbelief.

Moxley: Out of snickers!? What foul trechery is this?

The scene switches back to Perletta and Joey C at the broadcast desk.

Mark Perletta: Herbert J Moxley offers his services to tag up with John Thomas in the main event, one of many offers John received this week, apparently.

Joey C: How about the WORST offer he received all week? Come on, it's obvious to me and everyone else who saw it that Moxley is depressed about not getting his World Television Title match tonight, not to mention the fact that he's got his OWN tag match to deal with and live through without having to worry about a second match tonight.

Mark Perletta: A nice segway towards moving on with the action, the tag match between the former tag team champions Herbert J Moxley and D.J. Cassidy, better known as "The Revenge of the Nerds", and the newly formed team of Dan Stein and Conor McLellan, the Disgruntled Youth, as they've been dubbed, is next.

TAG MATCH
Revenge of the Nerds vs Dan Stein & Conor McLellan

Mark Perletta: I have to admit that seeing Dan Stein walk down to the ring for the first time with Conor McLellan beside him, it felt a little strange to me.

Joey C: From the look on his face it apparently was a little weird for Herbert J Moxley, too, but this is something that the both of you and the fans alike are going to have to start getting used to.

Mark Perletta: Point well taken, Joey, and I think this match did a lot to help me on the way towards that. Had it been a match where Stein and Conor had faced anyone other than Moxley and Cassidy, I don't know if it would've had the same effect.

Joey C: We're definitely seeing a different side of Dan Stein, one that, dare I say, is a more violent and dangerous side than we're used to seeing.

Mark Perletta: Take nothing away from Dan Stein, he's always been a great competitor inside the ring, most evident during the second Sky High Cup, Stein having won that invitational. What we saw of him in this match just went to show that not only can Dan Stein compete with regular moves as he did during the Sky High Cup, but that he's also capable of having some tougher, more brawling parts of his matches as well.

Joey C: I think one thing that none of us fully expected or could have been fully prepared for was when the match started and Dan Stein went right to work on his former friend Herbert J Moxley, and there were really no aspects of Sky High Cup competition there.

Mark Perletta: Absolutely not, Dan Stein working over Moxley with knee lifts, clotheslines, and hard irish whips into the neutral corners, and after a third irish whip chest first into one of the corner turnbuckles, it was quite obvious to me that something has gotten into the head of Dan Stein, because not even two months ago, Dan Stein was a good friend of Moxley and Cassidy.

Joey C: Well there was very little, if any, remaining evidence of that in this match. It was almost as if Dan Stein were trying to prove a point, trying to convince people that he has become a totally different person.

Mark Perletta: It was obvious that D.J. Cassidy is seeing Dan Stein differently now, because when Moxley started to make a comeback and was able to tag in Cassidy, D.J. got right into the ring and went to work on Dan Stein, and it wasn't for nearly a minute before Dan Stein could find an opening to tag Conor McLellan into the match.

Joey C: And say what you will about Conor McLellan's bad attitude or whatever else, Conor McLellan didn't show any sort of ring-rust in his LEGACY Tour debut, and he battled with D.J. Cassidy back and forth.

Mark Perletta: Conor is definitely still dealing with some issues stemming from the loss of his girlfriend, from the abandonment he's feeling with Jonny Johnson no longer around, possibly some alcoholism, and lord knows whatever else, but he's apparently good at channeling his frustrations and his anger and when he gets into that ring, he focuses all of it on his opponent.

Joey C: More than one time in this match Conor had D.J. Cassidy backed into the corner, and the referee had to pull Conor off of Cassidy, who had wrapped himself into the ropes to force a break.

Mark Perletta: A smart maneuver on the part of the Third Generation Wrestler D.J. Cassidy, one that got his team back in this match. He and Moxley were able to keep the offensive late into the match with the teamwork they've developed together the past year or so, and that was one of their big advantages they had over McLellan and Stein.

Joey C: Needless to say I'm not the biggest fan of The Revenge of the Nerds, but I will admit that late in the match as they used quick tags back and forth to keep Conor in the ring and Dan Stein on the outside, I was starting to wonder just how long the Odd Cousins are going to be able to hold on to those World Tag Team Titles.

Mark Perletta: That's a very good question, and we found out later in the evening from Smith Cartwright as to when the next World Tag Team Title shot is coming for Moxley and Cassidy. As the match continued, the teamwork employed by the Nerds wasn't enough to keep Dan Stein from being able to get back into the ring, and when he did, he and Conor showed off a little team work of their own.

After reversing an irish whip, Conor takes Moxley down with a dropkick to the knee, and reaching over and tagging Dan Stein into the match, Conor dropped down to the mat, grabbed on to Moxley's leg just below the knee, and as Moxley tried to get to his feet, Dan Stein ran in and hit a Shining Wizard, knocking Moxley out onto the mat.

Picking Moxley up off the mat, Dan Stein holds him by the head with one arm, and with the other he irish whips Conor towards the ropes, then picks up Moxley, drops him into a back breaker, holds him on his knee, and on the return Conor jumps and lands a leg drop across Herbert's throat.

Mark Perletta: A nice double-team move there by Dan and Conor, and that got them control of the match for a bit, but that wouldn't be the end of the match.

Joey C: Conor and Dan weren't exactly making tags every ten seconds to work over Moxley, but they did tag in and out a couple of times, and I thought "Good Old Herby J" was going to succumb to the beating he was taking, but if there's one thing I'll say for that guy, he's resilient.

Mark Perletta: The fans in attendance were trying to help rally Moxley and get him to make the tag, and after two near-fall attempts by Conor, I thought they were going to pick up the win before Cassidy was going to be able to get into the ring, but that wasn't the case, and Cassidy made all the difference in the world.

After a pinfall attempt by Conor on Moxley ends up with only a two count, Conor gets up and starts yelling at the referee, even grabbing him by the shirt, but instead of physically harming the ref, Conor turns his attention back to Moxley and pulls him up to get him back to his feet, but as he does Moxley swings wildly and CONNECTS WITH A RIGHT HAND TO THE HEAD OF CONOR!!!

...AND THEN ANOTHER ONE!!!

...AND THEN A THIRD ONE, THIS ONE KNOCKING CONOR DOWN TO THE MAT!!!

The fans are going ballistic and Moxley is starting to get rejuvinated, and he takes a two second breather as Conor works his way back to his feet. Once up, Conor goes for a punch but Herbert blocks it, nails Conor with a shot, backing him up towards the corner where D.J. Cassidy is waiting on the outside, and as he gets close enough, Cassidy ROCKS HIM with a RIGHT HAND, and the fans go wild again!!

Moxley reaches out and tags in Cassidy, then picks up Conor and hits an inverted atomic drop. To get out of the way, Moxley drops down, hits Conor in the gut, then does a backwards roll while Cassidy gets into the ring, runs backwards against the ropes for some quick momentum, then he leaps and it looks like he's going to hit Conor with a facebuster or modified bulldog, but after grabbing Conor by the head, Cassidy rolls through, locking Cassidy into a small package, and seeing the pinfall attempt, the referee makes the count.

ONE!!!

TWO!!!

THREE!!!

Winners as a result of a pinfall : Herbert J Moxley and D.J. Cassidy
Revenge of the Nerds!!!

As Moxley and Cassidy start to celebrate, the view stays on them momentarily with a voice-over from Mark Perletta.

Mark Perletta: Obviously Dan Stein and Conor McLellan had to be a little disappointed about the outcome of that match, but when they got backstage someone was waiting for them with an offer that would clear up any disappointment they might've had stemming from the loss.

BACKSTAGE / AFTERMATH

As Conor McLellan and Dan Stein make their way backstage, they find themselves suddenly face to face with Smith Cartwright.

Smith Cartwright: Good, I was hoping I'd run into the two of you.

Dan Stein: Yeah? What for?

Smith Cartwright: Well the front office is in a bit of a jam. You see, there was supposed to be a match coming up next week for the World Tag Team Titles, but since Herbert J Moxley's World Television Title Match against Creed was post-poned until next week, the Revenge of the Nerds won't be able to get into the ring with the Odd Cousins until at least the 25th, but you know how the LEGACY Tour front office is, if they promised the fans were going to get to see a title match, they want to give the fans a title shot.

Conor McLellan: And your point?

Smith Cartwright: Well the front office said that another tag team needed to fill the spot for the Revenge of the Nerds, and I figured what better way to give the two of you more experience as a tag team than with a tag title shot, so next week, come prepared, because you'll be facing Stephen Rawlings and his cousin Chris Turner with the World Tag Team Titles on the line.

Dan Stein's eyes get narrow and as he realizes that Smith Cartwright is serious, he starts nodding his head, a grin forming on his mouth, and then he and Conor continue down the hall. As Cartwright starts to walk down the hall, he's approached by D.J. Cassidy, who apparently heard the whole thing.

D.J. Cassidy: Hey, Smith! Hold up a second, I need a word with you.

Cartwright stops and turns around, looking unhappy to see Cassidy walking in his direction, primarily because Cassidy doesn't look happy about what he just heard. Before Cassidy gets to Cartwright, however, for the second time tonight he nearly runs right into Jake Dominion, who is headed towards the gorilla position. Both men stop dead in their tracks, and sensing a possible physical encounter, Smith Cartwright walks over to where they are.

Jake Dominion: Do you EVER watch where you're going? Huh?

Before Cassidy can say anything, Smith Cartwright gets in between the two men, great timing due to the fact that Eric Wolfson just showed up, and Herbert J Moxley is already back in the locker room.

Smith Cartwright: Whoa, stop it right there, all three of you. We're doing what we can to cut down on these random-but-violent backstage encounters, we've already sent three people home for it already, don't make me send anyone ELSE home.

Cartwright looks over at Dominion.

Smith Cartwright: You start anything... and Eric Wolfson is going to have to go out there and face John Thomas and his mystery partner all alone, and I've talked to the contracts people, John Thomas DOES have a partner for tonight's match. So I suggest the two of you keep walking out and head on down to the ring while Mr. Cassidy and I discuss whatever it is he has to talk to us about.

Dominion doesn't look extremely thrilled with the idea, so Cartwright sweetens the pot.

Smith Cartwright: Since the two of you seem to keep running into each other, how about next week, one-on-one, middle of the ring, Jake Dominion against D.J. Cassidy.

A smirk comes over Dominion's face and then he and Wolfson continue walking towards the gorilla position, and Cartwright turns his attention back on D.J. Cassidy, who is still fuming mad about something.

D.J. Cassidy: So what the heck, Smith? And don't even play dumb with me, I heard you talking to Dan and Conor a couple minutes ago, and we're both lucky that Herb went back to the locker room and that it was my turn to get the post-match tube of Icy Hot, because he wouldn't be this calm. Now tell me, what's the big idea about giving away our title shot?

Cartwright puts his hands up as if to tell Cassidy to calm down a bit, because despite what he might say about being calm, he's definitely not completely calm, and as he was talking about it, he was getting more riled up about the situation.

Smith Cartwright: Look, no one gave away YOUR title shot. You and Herb still have a shot at the World Tag Team Titles promised to you, and we're going to make good on that promise. Thing is, we also promised a World Tag Title Match to the fans for next week, so we kinda owe them too.

Smith gives it a second to sink in before he continues.

Smith Cartwright: Now the front office is set on giving Moxley the next shot at the World Television Title, a match he was supposed to have tonight and would've had tonight had Creed not gotten himself sent home, so that match is going to happen next week. Because that match is taking place next week, we couldn't exactly book the Odd Cousins to defend the belts against you and Moxley, so we had to come up with another team, and so I decided that Stein and McLellan were the team to get the shot.

Smith takes another second's pause before continuing.

Smith Cartwright: Don't worry, though. You guys still have that World Tag Team Title shot coming your way, and you might be happy to learn that I spoke to the front office about things about ten minutes ago, and they've decided that your match is going to take place at Rise of the Elite 3.

Cassidy gets a smile on his face that says that he's not completely thrilled with how things went down, but that he's moderately satisfied with the outcome, and then he starts nodding his head slightly.

D.J. Cassidy: I guess this will have to be the second time tonight that I have to go and explain the bad news to Herbert.

Smith Cartwright: It's not completely bad news, it's just an extra week or two delay of a match that was never taken away from you, but now it's on an even bigger stage.

Cartwright pats Cassidy on the shoulder for the second time tonight and then walks off, and then the view switches back to a shot of Mark Perletta and Joey C.

Mark Perletta: Yet another huge match is signed for next week, and it appears that all of the LEGACY Tour Titles will be on the line as Nicholas Creed will be defending the World Television Title against Herbert J Moxley, Jimmy Smith will be taking on National Champion Gryffin Anselm, we just heard that Conor McLellan and Dan Stein will be getting a shot at the Odd Cousins for the World Tag Team Titles, and as we heard earlier tonight, Marcus Marion will have to put his World Heavyweight Title on the line against Greyson Blade.

Joey C: And keep in mind that every week thus far that a championship match has occurred on a LEGACY Tour Shockwave, a championship has changed hands, with tonight being the only exception to that.

Mark Perletta: Well I don't know if you can really consider the match we saw between Marcus Marion and John Page a championship match, but you're right, Joey, and one would have to think that with all four of the championship belts being on the line next week, there's a good chance that at least one of those championships will change hands.

Joey C: The last match of the evening didn't have any championship belts at stake, but it did mark the return to active competition for the former World Champion Eric Wolfson, and it also marked the arrival to the LEGACY Tour of another man. Check it out.

MAIN EVENT TAG MATCH
Dominion & Wolfson vs John Thomas & ???

Mark Perletta: Jake Dominion and Eric Wolfson come down to the ring together, and as John Thomas walks out from the back and halfway down the entrance ramp alone, they both get a cocky smirks on their faces, as if they knew all along that John Thomas wasn't going to have a tag team partner, but that wasn't the case.

After his music faded under over the P.A. system, John Thomas waited halfway down the entrance ramp and the tension continued to build as the speakers were silent. The crowd buzzed with interest wondering who John Thomas has gotten as his tag team partner. Thomas smirked as JD and Wolfson waited. Yellow lights began to flash, and as they did we heard a familiar fast paced bassline. Some in the crowd pop, others still buzzed. The lights went out, the music stopped right before the lyrics kicked in, we waited two beats when the LEGACY Vision jumbotron lit up with....

MoFo!!

At the same time as "MoFo" hit the LEGACY Vision, a familar phrase was heard over the speakers, though one not yet heard on the LEGACY Tour. "ON ANOTHER DAY... C'mon C'mon" blasted through the PA system, with "C'mon C'mon" by the Von Bondies kicking in, and when they heard it, the fans went absolutely nuts. A circus tent then replaced "MoFo" on the screen and the words "The Greatest Show on Earth" blinked a couple times, and then golden sparks of pyrotechnics flashed up from either side of the entrance curtain and suddenly Loco Martinez ran out from the back and did a front handspring, landing just beside John Thomas on the entrance ramp, and a smile formed on their faces. John gave Loco a one-arm hug and then the two men continued on their way down the entrance ramp towards the ring.

Mark Perletta: What a reaction Loco Martinez got from these fans when he walked out from the back. He is easily one of the most adored superstars in this business, a true Hall of Famer - not just in TTW but everywhere he's been, and now he's a part of the LEGACY Tour, and neither Eric Wolfson nor Jake Dominion looked pleased to see him.

Joey C: Well Loco Martinez is not only a great wrestler, but he's a fantastic tag team competitor, easily in the argument for who the top two tag teams our business has ever seen. Like him or not, appreciate his goofy antics or not, there is no denying what Jay "Loco" Martinez brings to tag team matches.

Mark Perletta: What made John Thomas and Loco Martinez even more dangerous in this match, though, is the fact that not only do they know each other, not only have they trained together, but they're friends, and friends typically make great tag team partners, which is part of the reason that Stellar Insanity had so much success over the years, because Rocky Stellar and Loco Martinez were best friends above anything else.

Joey C: Well John and Loco had quite a task tonight, dealing with a pair of great wrestlers who not only know a bit about tag team wrestling in their own right, but they've been friends for a while too.

Mark Perletta: Just as I expected might happen, as soon as that opening bell rang, things got started off quickly, with all four men in the ring battling it out.

Joey C: It took the referee a couple minutes to get control of the match and get it down to a one-on-one inside the ring, but he didn't keep control of things the entire match, that's for sure.

Mark Perletta: When the referee finally got things under control, it was John Thomas and Jake Dominion starting things off. John was able to gain the offensive. As Jake Dominion tried to turn things around, John Thomas repeatedly came up with reversals and kept things in his favor.

Joey C: Being the veteran that he is, Dominion didn't get frustrated, he just found a way to move the action closer to his corner, and in doing so, he was able to tag in Eric Wolfson, who got into the right and didn't seem to have lost a step even after being "retired" for a while.

Mark Perletta: I don't know how long he has claimed to be retired, but in this business, rarely is anyone ever fully retired. Rob Belote seems fairly content to be retired, though I wouldn't be extremely surprised if he made a comeback someday.

Joey C: Surprised? No. Disappointed? Yeah. But to be honest, in talking with him about things, he's happy to be on the sidelines, back in the executive's chair, running things from a business perspective, which I think is his best contribution to the history of our business.

Mark Perletta: One of his indirect contributions to this business is involved in our main event, Rob Belote's son John Thomas, who many people think could very well have a bright future ahead of him. In the ring he more than held his own against former World Champion Eric Wolfson.

Joey C: Yeah it went back and forth between them a bit, but then it was Wolfson taking over the offensive, and he did a good job of wearing John Thomas down.

Mark Perletta: Not a good enough job, however, as John Thomas was able to battle back just enough to get the hot tag in to Loco Martinez, who came into the ring and immediately cleaned house, showing no signs of any ring rust of any sort.

Joey C: I figured after being away from the sport for a month and a half that he'd need to shake some of the cobwebs loose, but that wans't the case tonight.

Mark Perletta: I think Dominion and Wolfson were thinking he might've lost a step, too, however, they only had a couple minutes to think about Loco before the match started, not knowing who was coming out until he showed up. The fact that Loco Martinez was well intrenched into the World Title situation the month or so prior to TTW closing its doors probably didn't hurt Loco's ability to stay fit, either.

Joey C: Oh I'm sure he and John Thomas were training somewhere for the past month and a half and just not telling anyone what they were doing.

Mark Perletta: Either way, Dominion and Wolfson, try as they might, were unable to slow Loco down, as he stayed in the ring through several tags by Dominion and Wolfson, trying to get the advantage, but even when they tried a double-team they were unable to put Martinez on his back, with John Thomas running in from the apron to make the save.

Joey C: When John Thomas got back in the match as things started to slow down, that's when Dominion got the advantage back for Wolfson and himself, and although they started to wear down John Thomas, and then they tried to work down Loco when he got back into the ring, it just wasn't enough.

Mark Perletta: At one point it looked like Dominion and Wolfson might take a huge advantage as Jake Dominion was able to hit one of his signature moves on Loco Martinez out of nowhere.

Jake Dominion grabs Loco Martinez by the arm and irish whips him into the ropes, and on the return Loco leaps into the air and goes for a flying clothesline, but Dominion ducks it, and when Loco hits the mat, he does a forward roll, stops himself, then pops up and turns around just in time to get caught in the jaw by a thrusting superkick by Jake Dominion that lays him out flat on his back.

Deciding not to go for the pinfall, Dominion walks over and tags in Eric Wolfson who gets into the ring and immediately mounts Loco Martinez and starts laying into him with a series of fists, and not being able to watch patiently from the outside any longer, John Thomas runs into the ring and tackles Wolfson off of Loco. Jake Dominion doesn't like the idea of his team mate getting double teamed, so he gets into the ring and grabs John up off of Wolfson.

After nailing John with a hard right hand, Dominion goes to lock John into a fisherman's suplex position, but before he can, John Thomas nails him with a forearm shot to the ribs, then a second one, then a THIRD one, and as Jake Dominion lets go of the attempt, John Thomas backs up a step and then LEAPS HIGH INTO THE AIR and CONNECTS with a HIGH FLIPPING DROPKICK that sends Dominion UP AND OVER THE TOP ROPE DOWN TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

John Thomas heads back to the outside ring apron and Loco Martinez gets to his feet and then tags John Thomas into the mat. John gets into the ring and is immediately nailed with a right hand from Wolfson, but John retaliates with a right hand of his own. Wolfson looks to go for another punch, but John Thomas fires in with a second one, and then John races towards the ropes, and on the return John leaps into the air and goes for a hurricanrana... BUT ERIC WOLFSON COUNTERS INTO A POWERBOMB!!!

John holds the back of his head, shocked by the impact, but when he picks John up to his feet, John fires in with a desparation haymaker that lays Wolfson down on the mat. John immediately tags in Loco Martinez, who hops up to the top rope, then hops and turns backwards, facing away from the center of the ring. Just as Loco leaps off the top rope, though, Eric Wolfson, with a little help from a tug on the arm from Jake Dominion, rolls out of the ring underneath the bottom rope.

The impact takes its toll on Loco Martinez, but shaking off the impact, Loco sits up to see Jake Dominion and Eric Wolfson walking back up the entrance ramp. John Thomas gets into the ring and talks with Loco as the two walk over towards the side of the ring where the entrance ramp is, but by that point Wolfson and Dominion are already near the top of the ramp, and it's obvious they're not coming back. The referee finishes his 10 count and then calls for the bell.

Winners as a result of a Count Out : John Thomas and Loco Martinez

Mark Perletta: Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion retreat to fight another day, and judging by the looks on all four of these men's faces, this thing isn't over, it's far from over.

Joey C: I think it was a smart move for them to retreat and regroup. They were put in a bad position tonight, having to compete against a team who they weren't even able to prepare for. By exiting when they did, they give themselves a chance to regroup and prepare for a rematch, and if that match happens, when it happens, my money is on Wolfson and Dominion.

The last shot of the night shows Eric Wolfson and Jake Dominion staring down the entrance ramp towards the ring, and in the background on the LEGACY Vision jumbo-tron screen, you can see a shot of John Thomas and Loco Martinez standing in the ring, leaning over the ropes, looking up the isle at Wolfson and Dominion, and the screen fades out.
