Shockwave
4.27.2006

Obviously not a live feed, slightly grainy footage from last week's show starts to play, starting with a shot of Rob Belote from the opening of last week's show.

Rob Belote: Ladies and Gentlemen, a mere three weeks ago, True Talent Wrestling was supposed to show up, here in the MGM Grand Arena here in Las Vegas, Nevada, and instead of running that show or any others that would follow it, one of its owners decided he just didn't have it in him to run this organization anymore. I can understand that. I've been in that situation before, so I probably know where he's coming from better than ANY of you. ANY of you. Ed Raymond worked his ass off for this place, spent a countless number of endless nights focussed on the TTW product, and for that, he should be commended. The people of Chicago should have a day each year dedicated to Ed Raymond. For near TWO YEARS Ed Raymond worked to take a Midwest wrestling promotion to the top of this industry, and many would agree that he accomplished that goal.

The screen momentarily flickers, jumping quickly to another part of his opening speech.

Rob Belote: I am now the sole owner of the entity formerly known as True Talent Wrestling, the entity that will now be known as LEGACY.

Another quick flicker and the footage changes, Rob Belote still in front of the camera.

Rob Belote: Although Shane decided to leave the roster, that doesn't mean that John Thomas is off the hook for tonight... tthe man who gets the first shot at the LEGACY Television Championship is none other than "The Dexecutioner" Mike Dexter!

Clips from the Mike Dexter vs John Thomas Television Title match, including the ending to the match where John hits his sick falling neckbreaker, and then the view changes back to a shot of Belote.

Rob Belote: TONIGHT, Devastation WILL DEFEND the LEGACY WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP against NONE OTHER than GREYSON BLADE!!!

A shot of Greyson Blade beaten and bloodied in the parking area is shown, followed by the footage of Rob Belote announcing that someone else would take Greyson's place, and then a shot of Marcus Marion coming down to the ring is shown, followed by various clips from the World Title Match, including the end of the match where Marion hits Devastation with a low blow and then he hits a tombstone piledriver and he gets the win. That shot is followed by one of Rob Belote firing Devastation and Logan Caine.

No music plays as the scene goes live, only the buzz of the live crowd. The LEGACY logo is shown on the LEGACY Vision video screen, and that's where the camera starts its view. There's a change of live cameras and now there's a wide angle view of the entire arena, quickly scanning across the Atlanta, Georgia crowd, and then suddenly the scene changes again...

THE NEW CHAMPION

The lights dim, the pink strobes kick in, and the booing kicks in and immediately reach feverous pitches amongst the crowd. The screeching sounds of a guitar rift bang throughout the arena and as “Set It Off” by Audioslave blares over the PA system, the camera surveys the crowd and the general reaction is, of course, hugely negative.

The LEGACY-tron lights up hot pink and flashes ‘Media Whores: Viewer discretion is advised.’ Two gentle pair of eyes, green and blue are showcased on the Legacy-tron, as it is very apparent that both Susan and Nicole Rhodes have blocked the camera’s view, from seeing anything or anyone behind them. Susan takes a step back first, her hair long and honey blonde. Nicole sticks outstretches one of her hands to continue blocking off the cameras view. Susan, with a tshirt reading “I’d nail a World Champion, any day”, slides those slender, familiar fingers through her hair and says these words with a new light in her eyes…

Susan Rhodes: No peeking or we will never be able to get through this. I know how you all must be feeling right now. Shit, your probably thinking, Marcus Marion, he’s the asshole of the world, and well, you’d be right. While technically you are allowed to wield whatever emotions you want, we did this for you! The fans, for Joey C, and hell if I care, even ass pirate Marky P.

Susan steps forward, almost on cue putting her hands in front of the lens, so not to give anything away, as Nicole who looks like an algebra teacher, lower her glasses, which allows her baby blues to show as she begins to talk.

Nicole Rhodes: Nothing in life is fair, so with that in mind, the Media Whores offer you no promises that the LEGACY climate will get any better. So, why do you care? Why did you rally behind a champion that was lean and expendable? Sure, he could apply a waist-lock suplex and ankle-lock submission better than any superstar that has ever competed in our sport, but, the man was a bore at best, and at worst, he was nothing more than a door. A door that the Media Whores knocked down to get what we wanted. The True Revolutionary told you back at Shockwave PLUS that he was Bigger Than Elvis, More Cunning Than The Beatles, and a Greater Pleaser than the Rolling Stones, but nobody was paying attention. All of you idiots were counting your food stamps when you should’ve turned the volume up and copped a seat on the carpet. You didn’t listen before, but you will hear him now.

Susan and Nicole both move back slowly, and what we see is, very odd. The camera views the bottom of the ground, where we see wrestling boots that are white as snow, as the camera inches closer we then see wrestling trunks that are also white with: “True Revolutionary” written across the material, inching closer we see water pouring off of a body. The water drips casually and freely splashing against the cold, hard concrete. Something seems to be shining and it is thirty pounds of championship gold, the LEGACY Championship belt. Finally, the camera inches up and we see just the lips of Marion, which is exaggerated into a shit-eating grin. The Hollywood smile of Marion nauseates the crowd as they BOO quite loudly. Finally, the camera gets a full body shot of Marion, his hair is dyed smoky gray, and this causes the crowd to gasp. Nicole and Susan stand by the World Heavyweight Champion as the thief with the envy of the world on his shoulder, begins.

Marcus Marion: I guess Devastation got caught fucking a bitch in the wrong neighborhood. In other words, you TTW rejects, he got caught STEALING MY AURA and thinking the world gave two shits about him and that he could continue to avoid The True Revolutionary. But you can’t bull-shit a bull-shitter, from the moment the doctor smacked my my ass and told my old lady it was a boy, I knew I was something of a rarity. Biographies call ‘em phenomenons. In exchange for a man’s career, I gained the ENTIRE World. Look at me; I’m dripping sweat and gold!

The fans in attendance roar there disapproval. Marion taps the title and then waves that big belt in front of the camera. Susan and Nicole both stand behind there man, and rub there hands together. The chants of: “SCREW YOU! SCREW YOU! level out on a continuum.

Marcus Marion: Oh, that’s nice, go ahead and chant, do it all you want. Hell, I’ll say it with you SCREW YOU!! SCREW YOU!! SCREW YOU!! Does it change anything? Greyson Blade’s ‘attacker’ is still on the prowl… or is he? Heh. Hey, Blade, I looked for you in the main event but, I didn’t see you. Guess you were too wrapped up in those cute little ER sheets choking down Percodan for those venial scrapes and bruises. Understand, that plot, that heist, it was GENUIS…and the pleasure is all on this side of the table. I wanna jump, I wanna scream and holler right about now, and it’s because I got the World around my shoulder. Just know, Blade, this could’ve been you, had you not stuck your noise in MY business and STOLE my National title Your looking at the REAL CHAMP right now, and LIKE IT OR NOT, there’s NOTHING that ANY OF YOU can do about it, and Greyson Blade proved that last week!!

Once again “Set It Off” by Audioslave blares over the PA system and a smirk returns to the face of Marcus Marion, and the LEGACY-tron blinks a few times and then turns pink once again, reading “MEDIA WHORES” and then the camera flips back to a shot of Mark Perletta and Joey C.

Mark Perletta: Well we just heard from our illustrious LEGACY Champion, and it looks like things have only begun to get difficult for The Outlaw.

Joey C: Do you think Marion really did attack The Outlaw or was that just him being "coy"?

Mark Perletta: The only man who can tell us that is The Outlaw himself, and due to doctor's orders, he is not scheduled to be...

Joey C: Wait take a look at LEGACY Vision!

UNSCHEDULED ARRIVAL(S)

Up on the big screen, we see a gray Ford F-150 roaring through the parking lot and into a space, and the driver wastes no time in exiting the vehicle. Out steps The Outlaw to a MASSIVE response from the crowd. While Knxoville is his home, Atlanta is his second home having cut his teeth there with the DIWF promotion. However, Greyson Blade does NOT seem to even notice the cheers as he stalks from the parking lot inside the building.

Mark Perletta: Well, The Outlaw is STILL not scheduled to be here Joey, so I have no idea what is going to be happening here...

Joey C: With this man ... ANYTHING could happen.

Suddenly, The Outlaw appears at the top of the rampway with no theme, no entrance, just him, and for the first time the fans get a good look at just how badly injured Greyson is, but extremely happy to see him, they pop HUGE when he walks through the curtain. A large bandage covered his forehead most likely covering stitches, and a smaller bandage covers his cheek, and just peaking from under his leather jacket (he is still in his street clothes just coming from his truck) is in fact, a neck brace.

Mark Perletta: Well it looks as if Greyson has something to say as he's motioning for a mic from ringside, and something tells me that he is going to get right down to it.

Joey C: He's never been one to bloviate on the mic.

The crowd begins a huge "Blade" chant as he paces around the ring momentarily before bringing the microphone to his lips.

The Outlaw: Now, I'm going to make this short and sweet because as far as I'm concerned the time for talk has passed kiddies. Last week I am told to show up at the arena because there is a LEGACY Title shot with my name on it, and when I get here what I have waiting for me is a fucking baseball bat and some none-too-brief meetings with the windows and windshield of my rental car courtesy of a jumping piledriver ... so Marcus Marion screwed me out of my shot at becoming the LEGACY champion, and beyond that, the injuries I sustained were to keep me out of action tonight ...

The Outlaw proceeds to take off his leather jacket and drop it over the ring ropes, and rip off his neck brace, much to the delight of the crowd.

The Outlaw: Well, fuck that ... you think I'm going to put my health above my pride? You think I'm going to put my health above my honor? NO FUCKING WAY. I'm here for a fight, face-to-face and man-to-man with the LEGACY Champion, Marcus Marion. So here's how it goes kiddies, Marion... you have 10 seconds to get your ass out here, bitchcakes, or I'm going to head to the back and kick your goddamn ass all over Atlanta. Son, we have a score to settle, and believe me I'm not going to wait week after week and month after month to settle it. Payback is a bitch Marion, and tonight you will be mine! Somebody start the timer up there.

The crowd roars in approval at Greyson's statements and the timer ticks down to zero, and a very pissed looking Outlaw begins to step through the ropes when suddenly the lights dim and everyone turns their attention towards the entrance ramp, but instead of the music and pink lights people were expecting from ten minutes ago, red strobelights flash all over the arena and a red italic "D" shows up on the LEGACY Vision as "Step Up" by Drowning Pool starts to play.

Mark Perletta: Now wait just a minute, Greyson Blade called out Marcus Marion, but that's not Marcus Marion's music.

Joey C: Oh no it's not, but this... this could be good. Really good.

As the lyrics to the song kick in, Gryffin Anselm steps out from the back, wearing a black tshirt that matches the red "D" that's on the screen, a pair of black cargo pants, and black leather combat boots. His hair is slicked back into a ponytail, on his face, a cocky smirk. In his hand, a microphone. He walks out onto the stage and stops, staring down the isle, looking at a somewhat confused Greyson Blade. Gryffin raises his free hand and his music fades under, and then he raises the mic.

Gryffin Anselm: Because of other plans I had last week, I wasn't able to make it to the MGM Grand last week for the inaugural LEGACY Shockwave, but I did get to watch it, and I did get the chance to talk to the front office ahead of time about some things regarding how things are changing with Rob Belote assuming full control of this organization. I had a few things to clear up with them, and so I took the chance to call them last Tuesday Night to discuss some matters, and that's why I'm out here tonight.

Mark Perletta: What the heck is he talking about? Did he interrupt Greyson Blade for this? We could be seeing Greyson Blade and Marcus Marion in that ring right now!!

Joey C: Would you shut up and just listen to what the man has to say?!

The fans and the two announcers both quiet down, waiting to hear what this is all about.

Gryffin Anselm: I saw what happened to you last week, and for anyone out there who's wondering, no, it wasn't me, that's not what I'm out here for. I believe Greyson when he says that Marcus Marion was the man who attacked him, and anyone who saw the look in his eyes earlier tonight knows that Marcus Marion is proud of what he did. No, I'm out here for another reason. You see, when things went down last week and I saw the aftermath, I called to check up on Greyson. No, I didn't bother him by ringing him on his cell phone, I called the front office and found out about his situation from them. Needless to say five minutes ago when I saw you show up, I was surprised to see you here, knowing that the doctors hadn't cleared you to wrestle...

Gryffin stops, and then grins.

Gryffin Anselm: But then again, being the tough son of a bitch you are, I guess I'm not THAT surprised that you're here and that you've decided to defy doctor's orders by declaring yourself ready to fight here tonight. Not the smartest move you've ever made, but then again, the entire time I've known you, you've made quite a few idiotic decisions that might've ended up costing you something very dear to you... were you faced with a REAL opponent.

Gryffin pauses, and this time, there's no grin on his face, and suddenly he starts walking down the isle, making his way to the ring..

Gryffin Anselm: I've tried to get you to understand where I'm coming from, Greyson. I've tried to get you to realize that you can't just be some cowboy who's willing to take on anyone at anytime, because as tough as you are, as strong as you are, there are just some situations that you just aren't tough enough or strong enough to overcome. That's a lesson that you need to learn, especially if you're going to be able to take that belt off of Marcus Marion... something that these fans want to see happen... something that I want to see happen. He doesn't deserve to hold that belt, we all know that. But he took advantage of an opportunity, and that's a lesson you need to learn.

Gryffin gets to the ring and he starts walking up the steel steps slowly, entering the ring before continuing. Greyson holds his ground, halfway across the ring from where Anselm enters.

Gryffin Anselm: If Marcus Marion were to show up in this ring to deal with you tonight, you'd be giving him a gift, and you don't even understand that. So that's why I'm here, Greyson, to teach you that lesson. To teach you to pick your spots, to give yourself the best chance possible, so that one day, when the timing is right, that you'll take that belt from Marion.

Gryffin takes off his shirt.

Gryffin Anselm: When I talked to the front office last week, I had one question for them regarding LEGACY. That question was whether or not I still had the title shot that I earned back in TTW, and their answer... was yes. The Midwest Title doesn't exist here in LEGACY, but you've still got a title belt, the title belt that's draped across your shoulder, so that's the belt that I've got a title shot for. They said I could take my title shot at the National Title whenever I want... and for purposes of teaching you a lesson, I'm taking that title shot... tonight. So hand that belt to the referee, do whatever final stretching you need to do in order to loosen up, because our match... it's about to start.

There's nearly complete silence, as the fans can't believe what's about to happen. Some of them boo, but neither Gryffin nor Greyson seem to notice. Greyson backs into his corner, hands the National Title to the referee, then takes off his jacket, deciding to leave his shirt on, and then he stretches his arms a little bit, but as he tries to stretch his neck a little, he can't due to the brace.

National Title Match
Gryffin Anselm vs Greyson Blade (c)

Mark Perletta: Folks, this... this isn't good. This just isn't right. Greyson Blade is NOT medically able to fight here tonight, and he could get seriously injured. Someone has got to come out to put a stop to this.

Joey C: What are you talking about? You heard Greyson Blade, he wants to compete tonight. He's the one who wanted to step between those ropes. You heard him challenge Marcus Marion. It was HIS decision to be in that ring tonight.

Mark Perletta: I wouldn't have been in favor of that match either.

Joey C: You hear that bell, Marky? The referee doesn't care whether you're in favor of this match. The front office doesn't care whether you think Greyson Blade should be in that ring. All that matters is that Greyson Blade decided that he wanted to get in that ring tonight, and he still owes Gryffin Anselm a title shot... and so Gryffin's taking that shot tonight.

Mark Perletta: He's taking advantage of the situation is what he's doing.

Joey C: He's teaching his FRIEND a lesson, didn't you hear him say that? He's been saying that week after week, trying to get Greyson Blade to just focus on doing things to put himself into the right position to be successful, and Greyson just doesn't listen, so the time for talk is over, and Gryffin's teaching him the best way he knows how.

The two men meet in the middle of the ring, Greyson still looks a bit wary of what Gryffin might have in mind. With a grin on his face, Gryffin goes to lock up, but not wanting to do so, Greyson Blade immediately starts laying into Gryffin with quick right hands, plastering Anselm in the head, Blade mixing in some left forearms for good measure along the way.

Mark Perletta: Greyson Blade starting things off, taking the early advantage, and if he wants to have a shot here tonight at keeping his belt, he's going to have to try to level the playing fields.

Joey C: He's going to have to do more than just lay into Gryffin with punches to make up for having that hurt neck.

Mark Perletta: That's a very valid point, Joey. Greyson Blade's neck is really in no shape to wrestle, and honestly, I'm not sure he stands a chance here tonight against a rested Gryffin.

Having knocked Anselm down to the mat, Greyson picks Gryffin up and knees him in the gut for the third time this match, but Gryffin fires back and nails Greyson in the ribs with two hard shots, and then he grabs Greyson by the arm and irish whips him into the ropes, and on the return Anselm takes Greyson down with a running forearm shot.

Mark Perletta: Anselm putting Greyson down on the mat, and that running forearm was an interesting strategy by Gryffin, not going for a clothesline, as that would've sent his arm right into the neck brace worn by Blade.

Joey C: Look at Greyson Blade holding his head as he rocks on the mat. Think he's learning his lesson?

Mark Perletta: I think that Greyson Blade is a proud man, too proud to concede that he might've made a mistake by trying to return tonight, and now Gryffin, keeping in on the attack by bringing Greyson back to his feet, isn't letting him forget. Knee lift to the gut by Gryffin, and he follows that up by grabbing Greyson by the head and whipping him back down to the mat.

Gryffin picks Greyson up off the mat and picks him up, then drops him onto his knee with a back breaker, and then setting Greyson's feet on the mat, Gryffin whips his opponent into the corner hard back first, and as he hits, Blade's head rocks back.

Mark Perletta: Gryffin Anselm stalking in towards the corner to continue his attack... AND Greyson Blade sprints out of the corner and nails Gryffin with a back elbow smash! Signs of life here from Greyson Blade, and I really didn't think he was going to stand a chance, especially with that existing injury.

Joey C: The guys I don't particularly like, I don't typically give them much credit, but I will say that on a normal night, given what I've seen when these two have clashed before, Greyson Blade can hold his own. But tonight, tonight I don't think Blade stands a chance at all.

Mark Perletta: Greyson Blade grabbing Anselm on his way up... and Greyson Blade picks him way up over his head into a gorilla press... he drops him onto his shoulder and takes him down to the mat immediately with a powerslam!!

Joey C: I don't think that move JUST hurt Gryffin Anselm. Using that much strength to lift Gryffin all the way up there seems to have taken a bit out of Greyson, too.

Mark Perletta: As Gryffin gets to his feet, he doesn't look too happy about that bit of offense there from Greyson Blade, and as the two men meet once again in the middle of the ring, Gryffin goes to lock up, but Greyson nails him with a forearm shot to the face to keep Gryffin at bay.

Joey C: As he notices that his nose is starting to bleed, Gryffin looks like he's about to get really angry, and that's not good news for Greyson Blade.

After a hard left hand to the face, Gryffin pulls Greyson into a knee-lift to the gut, then another one, and having him doubled over, Gryffin takes off Blade's neck brace, much to the shock and horror of the fans, and then after giving him a clubbing blow to the back, Anselm lifts Greyson up onto his shoulders into a fireman's carry, then turns and faces the middle of the ring and whips him around and drops him with a Michinoku Driver.

Mark Perletta: Is there anyone watching this that STILL thinks Gryffin Anselm and Greyson Blade are friends? A friend wouldn't endanger another friend's LIFE by taking off their neck brace and then proceed to DROP their friend on the back of their neck!

Joey C: If anything he dropped him on the back of his shoulders, and come on, in a way Gryffin is doing this to protect Greyson Blade from Marcus Marion. Can you imagine if Marion had a match tonight with Greyson? The World Champion would've had that neck brace off five minutes ago, and he would be focussing in on that neck!

Mark Perletta: Well the one thing I will say is that Gryffin Anselm isn't capitalizing on Greyson Blade being down on the mat holding his neck, choosing rather to walk around the ring looking at Greyson, possibly waiting to see if Blade is going to continue this match up or not.

Slowly but surely, Greyson Blade rolls over onto his stomach and then gets up onto one knee, grabs his neck brace, looks at it, and then throws it out of the ring. Anselm looks at him with a disgusted look and just remains still, watching, waiting to see if Greyson's going to get up. Finally Gryffin moves in closer, and as he does, Greyson stands up and nails Anselm in the face with a hard right hand that sends him back a step. Then another. Greyson with an irish whip that sends Gryffin into the ropes, and on the return Greyson drops to the mat and Gryffin continues his momentum running towards the opposite ropes.

Mark Perletta: Look out!! Gryffin Anselm just accidentally plowed right through the referee, and that didn't even stop his momentum. On the return... OH!! Outlaw Drop from Greyson Blade! Outlaw Drop from Greyson Blade! Gryffin Anselm is down!! Can Blade capitalize!!

Joey C: Not if that man has anything to say about it!!

Running down the isle, gripping the LEGACY World Heavyweight Title in his hands, Marcus Marion slides into the ring before Greyson Blade has any idea that he's coming, and just as Blade turns and spots Marion, he's greeted with a shot to the head as Marcus slams his championship belt into Greyson's face, knocking him down to the mat, and the chorus of booing starts up amongst the live crowd (and probably those watching at home as well). Marion doesn't have much time to gloat, however, because when Gryffin gets up off of the mat, still feeling the effects of the Outlaw Drop, Anselm runs over and goes for a clothesline on Marion, who avoids it by dropping down to the mat and rolling out of the ring before Gryffin can lay a hand on him, heading back up the ramp, championship belt over his shoulder.

Mark Perletta: Damn that Marcus Marion, what I wouldn't give to have Greyson Blade caught him instead of getting hit with that belt, because as upset as I am with Gryffin Anselm for taking advantage of this opportunity tonight against Greyson Blade, I still think Anselm and Blade would've worked together to tear the World Champion in half.

Joey C: I don't think Marcus Marion would've let that happen, he's too crafty! He picked that spot because Anselm was down and Greyson was preoccupied. He's not just going to jump right into the lion's den at feeding time!! Unlike Greyson Blade, Marcus Marion has GREAT timing and knows which opportunities to take, and which to pass on.

Mark Perletta: With Marcus Marion having escaped and Greyson Blade laid out on the mat with blood dripping from his forehead, Gryffin Anselm looks like he has a bit of a dilemna on his hands, and it looks like.... Yes, it looks like Gryffin Anselm is going to help Greyson Blade up to his feet now... Oh wait a minute!!!

Joey C: Irish whip into the far ropes by Gryffin Anselm... SPEAR... SPINEBUSTER!!! Greyson Blade is laid out, the referee is starting to wake up, and Gryffin Anselm drops down to the mat and hooks the leg...

ONE!!!

TWO!!!

THREE!!!

The referee gets up to one knee and calls for the bell... and the LEGACY National Title, and when the ring attendant hands the referee the National Title, Gryffin Anselm rips it out of his hands. The crowd on hand isn't sure how to react, some of them stunned to silence, the rest of them booing as loud as they can. Gryffin takes a microphone from the ring attendant and walks to where Greyson Blade is still laid out on the mat and he stands over him, holding the title over his shoulder.

Gryffin Anselm: Greyson, I told you it wasn't a good idea for you to be in this ring here tonight, your doctors told you that too, but you just don't listen, do you? Marcus Marion wouldn't have shown you half as much mercy as I did here tonight. And now that I've got the National Title... you don't have any distractions to keep you from taking that World Heavyweight Title off of Marion and bring it back to someone who deserves it.

Gryffin backs up and looks towards the entrance ramp.

Gryffin Anselm: Now get somebody out here to help this guy to the back, and make sure he wears that neck brace.

Tossing the microphone in the direction of the time keeper's table, Gryffin Anselm simply walks out of the ring and back up the ramp, some of the fans still stunned in silence, the others booing him. Halfway up the ramp, Gryffin passes three EMT's, one of whom has a new neckbrace in hand.

Mark Perletta: Folks, I'm not sure what to say about what we just saw. Part of me is sickened by what Gryffin Anselm would do to a guy he calls a "friend", the other part of me... I can almost see where he's coming from with saying he is trying to teach him a lesson. I don't think Greyson Blade should have gone against doctor's orders and cleared himself to wrestle tonight, but for Gryffin Anselm to put him through that kind of match just to teach him a lesson...?

Joey C: Look, Marky, you have your friends who you like to go to the Country Club with, talk about stocks and mutual funds and the latest cricket match you saw, but guys like Gryffin Anselm and Greyson Blade, they're not like you. They're not like most of the people who watch LEGACY Tour shows. Those guys are tough. They fight for a living. While I don't think it's going to be happening tonight, a week from now, they might go to a bar after the show and have drinks together.

HE WATCHES, HE WAITS

The camera switches to a view of the rafters, the darkened area high above the ring from where all of the lights shine down . Standing up there is a dark figure who is looking straight down onto what just happened in the ring. He is wearing a bandana covering part of his face.

Mark Perletta: Is that...? I do believe it is. That's "Chivalric" Mason Bishop.

Joey C: What the hell is that freak doing up in the rafters... and more importantly, what the hell is he doing in LEGACY? I thought I heard that he and Rob Belote had some sort of fight during contract renegotiations right near the time where Rob bought out the rest of True Talent Wrestling?

The view switches away from Mason Bishop and focusses back on the announce table where Mark Perletta and Joey C are sitting.

Mark Perletta: I hear that Belote and his agent cleared a lot of that up, a good business decision on Rob's part considering that Mason Bishop is a considerable draw. As far as why Mason Bishop is standing in the rafters here tonight, I think it's fairly obvious. The last pay per view that TTW had was Invite to Anarchy, and on that show Mason Bishop defeated Greyson Blade in a very heated Buried Alive Match, and it appears as though maybe Mason Bishop isn't done with Greyson Blade.

Joey C: This... this doesn't look good for Greyson Blade, but let's not forget that just after Invite to Anarchy, Mason Bishop staged a fake attack where Greyson Blade had supposedly attacked him backstage, earning Blade a one week suspension.

Mark Perletta: There definitely seems to be some sort of unfinished business between the two of them... at least on Mason Bishop's part anyway. But that brings me to another topic we need to discuss, and in my headphones I'm getting word that now is a good time to talk about this. The front office officials are very conscious of how the LEGACY product comes across each week, wanting to provide as entertaining a product as possible. In doing that, they look for feedback from all sorts of different sources, both internal, and external to this organization.

Joey C: As you all probably know, one place where the critics are never short of opinions is on the internet, and after the first Shockwave of the LEGACY Tour, there was a lot of buzz about what went down, some good, some bad.

APOLOGIES

Mark Perletta: The front office was pleased with the positive feedback they received from all the various sources, however, the negative feedback concerned them, and while they maintain that they're not going to significantly divert from the course they had originally planned on, they do plan on making some adjustments to certain things in order to help make a better product. With more on that as well as an explanation of some things that the front office feels the fans should know about to alieviate any fears, Smith Cartwright is backstage and is set to make a statement. Smith?

The camera switches backstage, where Smith Cartwright stands in front of a LEGACY Tour banner, holding a microphone, wearing a suit and tie.

Smith Cartwright: Judging from the feedback we heard after last Thursday's inaugural LEGACY Tour Shockwave, some of you weren't pleased with how things were handled. Given my perspective as both a fan of the product, a representative from the front office, and a guy who was heavily involved with True Talent Wrestling under Ed Raymond, I feel as though I have a perspective on things like few others do. That said, I spoke with the front office this past week and they have allowed me some on-air time to talk about some things and make an announcement in hopes of alieviating some of the concerns that some of our fans might have.

Cartwright pauses momentarily and then continues.

Smith Cartwright: Last week, part of the show included Rob Belote directly addressing the fans and the situation at hand. From your feedback, it is apparent that quite a lot of you think that Rob Belote holds a grudge against Ed Raymond and that Rob is trying to trash the memory of True Talent Wrestling. I can assure you that nothing is farther from the truth. I have spoken to Rob about the situation at hand both before last week's show, after last week's show, and after hearing a lot of the feedback from those who saw the first show. I can assure you that, after knowing Rob as long as I have, going back to my days as an announcer in the SWA, that Rob is sincere about how much he respects Ed Raymond for all the hard work and creativity that he put into True Talent Wrestling, and that Rob's experience working with TTW was the greatest experience he's ever had in the front office of a wrestling organization. If he did not feel that way, he wouldn't have purchased Ed Raymond's shares of True Talent Wrestling when Ed Raymond decided to close its doors.

There's another momentary pause from Cartwright.

Smith Cartwright: That said, Rob Belote was extremely disappointed when he found out that Ed Raymond planned to close the doors of True Talent Wrestling, as this has been an environment that he has enjoyed working in for the past two years. He and Ed had built a friendship that Rob knew would never be the same with them no longer being business partners or working together on a weekly basis. He, just like the rest of us, were saddened that this community we had built was apparently going to be no longer. Sure, there were some people who wouldn't be involved in this industry anymore if this organization was to close for good, but the rest of us knew that there would be "homes" for us elsewhere in one of the other organizations in what many on the internet consider our "circle". We didn't want to do that, though. Anything other than continuing to keep this organization going wouldn't feel right, and knowing that, Rob Belote was saddened by not being able to work with Ed anymore, but he was also defiant and refused to let this organization close. Three weeks later, Rob Belote had put in a lot of really long days and nights working out the logistics, but as I think you can see, that all paid off.

Cartwright picks up a file folder off of a table next to him.

Smith Cartwright: I do have some news that people who were fans of TTW should be pleased to hear. There have been some issues with the video tape library of past TTW shows, but once those issues have been resolved, LEGACY is planning on highlighting some of the great moments from TTW's history in addition to selling more TTW related merchandise as part of our launch of LEGACY Merch, an online store selling LEGACY Tour related items including apparel, dvd's, and other various items. When the tapes are available, we are going to start having weekly looks back at the greatest moments in TTW history, and when the LEGACY Merch website launches, you'll be able to purchase TTW pay per views as well. That's all we really have to report on that situation this week, but we're hoping to have the first Video Tribute to TTW for next week's Shockwave.

The camera switches back to a shot of Mark Perletta and Joey C sitting behind the announce table.

Mark Perletta: I had heard something about the plans to do TTW retrospectives in order to pay tribute to Ed Raymond and Jeff Hansen and all of the other road agents and production people who worked very long hours to bring you TTW Entertainment Programing each week. Talk about that has existed just as long as LEGACY has. Folks, this isn't a new plan. This isn't just something that the front office or Rob Belote devised to appease the people who were upset with how it might have been perceived on last week's Shockwave that Rob Belote felt about TTW. This is something that Rob Belote and the rest of the front office feel very strongly about. These aren't just people who purchased the rights to something like Vince McMahon did when he purchased WCW. Rob Belote and some of the others in the front office were very involved in True Talent Wrestling, though not as involved as Ed Raymond, and they truly loved working for this organization under that leadership. This tribute is something they want to do, it is something they're planning on doing, and hopefully we'll get to that starting next week.

CHALLENGES OFFERED, CHALLENGES RESPONDED TO

The lighting in the arena immediately changes and suddenly "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" by Three 6 Mafia starts playing over the speakers and the fans all look to the entrance stage, not sure who to expect, and they pop loudly as "The Ladies Man" Tim Jones walks out from the back and comes down to the ring, slapping hands of the excited fans as he makes his way down the ramp.

Tim Jones: "You know that is right, its getting goddamn hard out here baby! Its is getting so fucking hard to be a pimp now a days, people just stop trying. But i won't. I wont ever stop trying to a pimp, to give the people what they want to see. Im a pimp for the fans. You see back in TTW I had a little thing going on with John Page. I know you all wanted me to kick his ass, hell i wanted to do it too. But he was a little bitch. A bitch from England, drinking his tea like a little spoiled brat.

Tim Jones: He has no idea whats its like to work for something. To be in the Indy's. Unoticed talent for over 6 years. Passed over on every chance to make it big. Watching underated talent like it huge, when your making just enough to buy a bag of potato's for breakfast lunch and dinner. Raw potato's too. Don't got enough money to turn the water on, so no water, no showers, and raw potaoes for six years. And he wants to lecture me on Manners? I got everything i earned. When i got to the big show, i earned it all. I earned my money, i made the right plays and now im set. Im not here for the money anymore, im here for the rush, for the fans, FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

Tim Jones: I love the fact that you can live out your dreams though me. And i am going to help you live one of your dreams out tonight. I know you would all want to put your foot or fist though the jaw of that bastard, and I want to do it for all you of in Atlanta, RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW! Page if you got any guts, any fortitude you will bring your ass out here right now and face me. You will face me one on one RIGHT NOW! I am not going to take no for an answer Page, YOU WILL COME OUT HERE!

The ascending notes of “Heartbreaker” create an ominous tone and signal the arrival of “The Pretty Boy” John Page and his beautiful valet Scarlet. As usual Page is immaculately turned out, wearing a stylish dark suit, a great-looking striped spread-collar cotton shirt, a silk tie and an expensive buckle belt. Equally appealing is Scarlet in a red and white polka dot bias-cut couture dress and brown open-toed stilettos. The couple walk down the isle and stop at the bottom of the entrance ramp, Page surveying the arena with an arrogant sneer, then looking into the ring up at Tim Jones, not changing the disgusted look on his face. Raising the microphone to his lips Page is interrupted by the fans contemptuous jeers.

“Ass hole! Ass Hole! Ass Hole!”

Page absorbs the abuse before continuing.

John Page: You know you’ve missed me so let’s not waist time with pleasantries

Mike Perletta: Can you believe the audacity of this young man?

Joey C: He’s an English gentlemen Mike. Show some respect.

Mike Perletta: Gentlemen my ass!

Page re-directs his attention towards Tim Jones who strolls from one side of the ring to the other impatiently.

Page: Timothy, it’s been too long.

Pausing thoughtfully.

Page: What am I saying? After our last encounter I was forced to spend the night in casualty.

The crowd react to this reminder with cheers.

Page: What I mean to say is that I was hoping we’d be able to resolve our differences sooner. Alas, fate prevented our paths from crossing on more than a handful of occasions and the opportunity to address the grievances I suffered did not arise. Consequently I would like to express my gratitude to you Timothy, because having instigated this challenge you have both reignited the fire of my hatred for you and given me another opportunity to fulfil a moral obligation – to beat you absolutely senseless and save this pitiful organization from your adolescent antics!

The crowd erupt into a mixture of cheers and heckles whilst Jones looks on in disgust.

Page: Having said that there is one thing I must do before kicking several shades of shite out of your sorry behind. Yes, don’t flatter yourself Jones, you’re not a priority yet. Before I show these inarticulate whores just what the British men are made of I shall beat John Thomas for the Television title and instil some pride into this company. That’s right John, I want you to come down to this ring right now and let these people see just how feeble a champion you really are.

John Page stands and waits, looking intently up at the entrance stage, and when "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter kicks in, a huge grin comes over John Page's face, and the fans sound equally as happy, though when John Thomas steps out from the curtain with the Television Title over his shoulder, the fans pop huge. John stands in wait, a mic in hand, wearing his "Thomas" Indianapolis Colts jersey and jeans. Once the pop dies down and the volume of his music fades under, John Thomas lifts the microphone.

John Thomas: So it sounds like you want to be next in line, Page. Sounds like you want to be the next guy to step up and try to take this belt, just like Mike Dexter tried last week, just like Derek Shane tried about a month before that. Whether you realize it or not, I was one of the guys who made the TTW Television Title worth holding. I'm part of the reason you got any of the respect you got back there, but you, you're just another one of those guys who doesn't do his homework, who doesn't care about the history involved in a title. But me? I know my history. I know what people have accomplished.

Thomas adjusts the championship belt over his shoulder.

John Thomas: So I'm hearing you say that you want a match against me tonight, so the question I'm faced with is whether or not I'll give a title shot to a former Television Champion? And after giving it about two seconds of thought... yeah, that's exactly what I'm going to do, I'm giving a Television Title shot to a former Television Champion...

Page gets a huge, satisfied grin on his face.

John Thomas: Thing is, I'm looking at TWO former Television Champions... and as badly as you want to get ME in the ring tonight... just like you showed Tim Jones two minutes ago, looks like you can't always get what you want... so Tim Jones, if you've got your ring gear back in the locker room, if you're ready, willing, and able... YOU get the Television Title shot tonight!!!

The fans go nuts and the camera switches back over to Tim Jones, who starts nodding his head, obviously agreeing to the match. The camera switches to a shot of John Page, who looks like he couldn't be more pissed off, and then the view changes back to one of John Thomas, who looks proud of himself.

John Thomas: Good, then I'll see you later tonight... Oh and Page? I hear they're making some popcorn back there. Might be nice to get some to munch on while Tim Jones and I are fighting for the Television Title. But you've only got a few minutes, because after I go back there and get into my ring gear, this thing's going to get started.

"Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter kicks in again and John Thomas lifts the Television Title up into the air and the crowd goes nuts. After holding it up there for a second, he then heads back through the curtain, and the camera switches back over to a shot of John Page, who is just snarling mad.

BACKSTAGE

Thomas throws the curtain aside and walks backstage, shaking his head with a smirk on his face. As he continues down the corridor, a voice calls out, echoing in the concrete halls.

Voice: Well, well, well… The LEGACY TV Champ. Very impressive, the way you just put those two in their place.

Thomas stops and turns around, having never even noticed Nicholas Creed leaning up against the wall. Uncrossing his arms, Creed takes a step closer to Thomas.

Nicholas Creed: You know what I find amusing, John? The fact that you went on and on a few weeks back about revitalizing that Title, about how Derek Shane wasn’t facing worthy opponents, and simply giving shots to guys who weren’t worth it, only to get that win record up. And now that you’re the Champ, what are you doing? Facing guys like Tim Jones. I find that funny, I really do.

John Thomas adjusts the TV title over his shoulder and takes a step closer to Creed. He smiles and takes a deep breath.

John Thomas: Is that so?

Creed nods.

John Thomas: Well, maybe some of us feel that everybody deserves a fair shake, not just the guys who have the most accomplishments. See, I’ll give a shot to whomever I feel deserves one. Tim Jones deserves a shot.

Creed laughs aloud.

Nicholas Creed: You know who really deserves a shot, John? ME! You’ve been ducking me for weeks now and it’s time you become a real Champion and put that thing up against a REAL challenger.

John looks thoroughly amused by the concept.

John Thomas: I’ve been ducking you?? If my memory serves me correctly, I’ve already put your sorry ass down. Remember about a month and a half prior to Invite to Anarchy? Of course you do, because that was the one and only time in your career that ANYONE mentioned you in the same breath as a World Title shot... and I BEAT you to earn that title shot. So correct me if I’m wrong here, but that sounds to me like you ain’t got shit on me, and especially don’t deserve a shot at this title. So why don’t you go get some wins first. Then come back and see me.

Thomas turns around and walks down the hallway.

Nicholas Creed: What ever you say, COWARD!

Thomas pauses. He closes his eyes and takes another deep breath. Finally, he turns around to face Creed again.

John Thomas: You know what, Nick? Maybe you’re right. See, guys like you? They have a big mouth, and just turning the other cheek and ignoring guys like you just doesn’t work. There’s only one thing you understand. And only one way to shut your mouth. You want a piece of me? You damn well got it!

Creed smiles and immediately looks down at the title on Thomas’ shoulder.

John Thomas: Yeah, what the hell. You got your shot!

Creed grins ear to ear.

John Thomas: But let me tell you this… You better make the most of it. Because if… No… WHEN I walk out of Shockwave next week with this title, you’re not going to lose just your only shot at this title, but you’re going to lose all respect you might have had from this business. Its one thing to miss out on a chance to win a title in this business, but it’s something completely different to not be back to back your words up.

Creed scoffs at Thomas’ words and watches him disappear down the hallway. Having just found his way into a Television Title shot for next week if John Thomas retains the title this week, Creed walks off, proud of himself, headed back to his locker room. After turning a corner and walking down the corridor, Creed walks right past someone without even noticing them.

Voice: Ahhh, there he goes. The man, the myth... the idiot.

SIN turns around to notice Voodoo leaning up against the wall not ten feet from him. Voodoo doesn't pause for more than a quick moment before continuing.

Voodoo: Creed the fool, hell of a gimmick. Ignoring the only man who can give you good advice, Eric Wolfson. I've fought the bastard, tough as nails. You? You manage to give me a bloody lip and suddenly you think you're king of the hill.

SIN starts to feel himself getting angry.

Voodoo: Hate to tell you this, but you have to hit me a lot harder if you plan to keep me down. And without Wolfson's brains, you're just some two-bit thug who bit off more then he can chew. A poor doggy who's slipped his leash, and is too stupid to realize just how much trouble he's in.

Suddenly Creed just loses it and sprints the ten feet between the two men and he starts laying into Voodoo with left hands. The fourth one is blocked, however, and Voodoo smashes his forearm into Creed's face. Then he meets SIN with a knee to the ribs. Voodoo grabs Creed by the head and moves over towards a stack of steel storage cases, but Nicholas nails him with an elbow smash to the gut, and then Creed grabs Voodoo by the head and smashes him face first into the bins, which fall over in the process, Voodoo going down with them.

Mark Perletta: Chaos is breaking out backstage, and someone needs to do something before they wreck some important LEGACY property.

Joey C: Would YOU want to get in between these two?

Mark Perletta: I sure wouldn't but I imagine it's SOMEONE's job!

Voodoo gets up off the ground before Creed can get to him and as Creed moves in for a haymaker, Voodoo backs up and then swings wildly with a hook kick, which Creed avoids by backing up two steps. The commotion alerts LEGACY officials down the hall who come running in to break things up. When they get there, the two men are about to continue fighting, but four LEGACY officials step in between them, one of them getting pushed hard in the process. Even as they are restrained, both Creed and Voodoo try to continue in on the attack. Suddenly Smith Cartwright appears with two LEGACY officials who are larger than any of the four standing between Creed and Voodoo.

Smith Cartwright: Stop it for a minute, or a few minutes anyway!! The front office knows about the various unsettled "heat" between a lot of the guys backstage, and they're not going to stand for a lot of this backstage brawling stuff. Part of my job is to represent the interests of the front office at LEGACY shows, and part of the resposibilities they've tasked me with is to handle situations like these. Now there's a match slot open tonight, and if the two of you want to fight so badly, that's what's going to happen! Later on tonight, Voodoo, you're going to get into that ring and square off against Nicholas Creed, and by the time that thing is over, anything left unsettled will have to be settled inside of that ring, because LEGACY is NOT going to put up with all this "brawl anywhere you want" business.

Smith turns and looks directly at Voodoo.

Smith Cartwright: Your locker room is on the other side of the building, go there now and get ready for your match.

Cartwright waits for a reaction from Voodoo, who slowly turns his gaze back on Creed, a satisfied grin forming on his steaming mad face just before he starts walking backwards in the direction of his locker room. Smith then turns and looks directly at Creed.

Smith Cartwright: And you... If you're so hell bent on making a name for yourself in this business, if you want people to give you some respect instead of just considering you some rookie, then I suggest you go back to your locker room and figure out a way to settle this thing in the ring... or else that match that John Thomas promised you for next week... it won't happen. If you restrain yourself enough to wait a half hour and then let this thing between you and Voodoo happen in the ring... then even if Tim Jones wins tonight, you might still find yourself in that Television Title Match next week. But that's a big "IF".

Smith Cartwright turns and walks away, his business in that location done for the time being. The security guards, however, remain with Creed, who stands there for a moment, thinking about the situation he's in, and then slowly he turns and walks off towards his locker room, three of the security guards following, the other three remaining to make sure that neither Voodoo nor Creed return to continue the encounter.

ELSEWHERE BACKSTAGE

A magenta Camaro rolls into the arena through one of the open garage-type doors backstage, barely missing several people standing around and talking. When it comes to a park, the driver's side door opens, and out steps a man with shoulder-length wavy brown hair and skin-tight red leather pants. Underneath his black leather jacket, his tshirt reads "Big Jimmy", the type of "air-brushed art" tshirt you'd expect to buy at an amusement park or carnival. The letters are in purple, outlined in green, which is outlined in white. Despite the fact that it's night time, the man has a pair of sunglasses tucked into the collar of the shirt.

"Big Jimmy": So, this is LEGACY, huh?

As he looks around, a woman with a clipboard walks up to him.

Woman: Sir, who are you?

The man opens up his jacket and gets a huge grin on his face.

"Big Jimmy": The shirt says it all, cutie-pie.

She reads it and is a bit confused, so she scans over her clipboard for a moment and apparently finds something of relevance.

Woman: Are you... Jimmy Smith?

The man gets a sly grin on his face and nods his head.

"Big Jimmy": You bet your sweet ass I am, and it's alright, I understand.

The woman is obviously confused.

Woman: Understand about what?

"Big Jimmy": I know you recognize me from my movies, I can see it in your eyes and in your thighs, but I get it, I understand. You've got a reputation to uphold around here, and it's not easy gettin' respect being a hot little piece of ass like yourself trying to be taken seriously.

The woman looks a bit taken aback, but she also looks flattered.

"Big Jimmy": Now I know I don't have a locker room or anything like that, but I'm just here tonight to scope the place out, see how this LEGACY Tour thing works. I did a TTW show couple months ago in a try-out match, but from what I hear, this place is the spot to be right now. Don't mind me, I'm just going to go take a look around...

Jimmy gives her another "once over" and smiles.

"Big Jimmy": But don't you worry, I'll find you again before the night is through.

Jimmy winks at her and then walks off down the hall, leaving the woman in a slight state of shock.

World Television Title Match
Tim Jones vs John Thomas (c)

Pink and blue spotlights circle the arena as "It's Getting Hard Out Here For a Pimp" by Three 6 Mafia starts to play, and "The Ladies Man" Tim Jones walks out from the back to a good reaction, wearing a Hugh Hefner type robe. Taking his time, Tim Jones greets the fans as he walks down the isle, taking a little bit of extra time with each of the ladies he passes by.

Mark Perletta: Down to the ring comes Tim Jones, about ready to compete in his first ever LEGACY match and he has the chance here tonight to regain the Television Title, the belt he held a year ago.

Joey C: A lot can change in a year, and I'm not sure that he really as much of a chance to win this match. A year ago Tim Jones was a member of High Society and was one of the hottest young stars in the organization.

Mark Perletta: Things are very different for him now, primarily due to High Society kicking him out of their group and injuring him, the recovery for which ended not three months ago. Now he finds himself in a "rebuilding" mode, so to speak, trying to shake the ring rust and get back down to business.

Joey C: Well if he wants to do something great, tonight would be a huge opportunity, especially because his former tag team partner, John Page, who was instrumental in kicking Tim Jones out of High Society, he had an injury as well and last week we saw an impressive comeback by Page in a huge victory over Logan Caine.

Mark Perletta: Page did pick up the win last week but I don't know that I'd go so far as to say it was spectacular. Logan Caine was quite a talent a few months ago who showed a lot of promise and potential, but due to an injury, that never panned out. It will be interesting to see how Page continues week to week here in LEGACY, and if he can capture the Television Title like he mentioned earlier tonight as his goal, then that would be a big step in his comeback.

Tim Jones finally gets into the ring and takes off his robe, giving it to the ring attendant, and when his theme music fades under, it's replaced with "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter, blue and silver spotlights replacing the pink and blue. As John Thomas walks out from the back wearing his blue and white entrance attire hooded robe, the fans give him a nice pop, so he stops at the top of the ramp, throws back his hood and hoists the Television Title high into the air, which gets an elevated pop from the crowd. After holding it up there for a moment, John walks down the isle towards the ring.

Mark Perletta: A slightly bigger pop there for John Thomas than Tim Jones got, and I think that has something to do with the fact that most of the women are still mesmerized by "The Ladies Man".

Joey C: Hey, if I could have my choice, I'd rather have three thousand women screaming my name than to have twelve thousand men cheering for me. Tim Jones definitely has the women fans behind him... or underneath him... or...

Mark Perletta: I think we need to get off that road before we get on it, Joey. Tim Jones is popular with the ladies, but as the Television Champion and a big fan favorite anyway, I'd say most of the men in the arena are routing for Thomas in this one.

Not spending nearly as much time with the fans on the outside of the ring as Tim Jones did, John Thomas hops up onto the ring apron and then ducks under the top rope, gets into the ring and hands the Television Title over to the referee, who lifts it up into the air to remind the fans what's at stake, then takes the belt over and hands it to the time keeper. John Thomas takes off his entrance attire and after he hands it to one of the ring attendants, the referee calls for the bell and gets the match started.

Mark Perletta: Things get started off with a lock up in the middle of the ring. John Thomas gets Tim Jones into a side headlock, Jones backs up into the ropes and then pushes John Thomas off of him, sending John into the opposite ropes. On the return Tim Jones leapfrogs Thomas, who keeps running. Jones then turns, drops to the mat and bends backwards, and as John Thomas comes off of the ropes, Tim shoves John across the ring with a modified monkey flip. John lands on his feet, then turns around to face Tim Jones, who just kipped up, and the two competitors stand in their ready stances, prepared for a continuation, and then they lock up again.

Joey C: Women wrestling fans are crazy. He does a little leapfrog, then a modified monkey flip, and suddenly they're going crazy over Tim Jones again.

Mark Perletta: Tim Jones with a snap suplex, and I'm not sensing a bit of jealousy, am I, Joey?

Joey C: Jealous of who?

Mark Perletta: Of Tim Jones.

Joey C: Jealous of what?!

Mark Perletta: Tim Jones getting John Thomas back to his feet and taking him down with a snapmare. Jealous of the attention that Tim Jones is getting from the ladies.

Joey C: Oh please... don't insult me.

Mark Perletta: Okay... John Thomas avoiding a from-behind-waistlock, spinning around and instead catching Tim Jones in a standing armbar. Jones reverses the move into an armbar of his own... Thomas with a forewards roll, back to his feet, twists Jones around and sends him down to the mat, armbar still applied. John hops up and drops a legdrop across the shoulder joint of Tim Jones and then hops up to his feet.

Tim Jones follows John Thomas back to his feet, favoring his shoulder momentarily, and Tim Jones rocks John back with a punch, then sends him into the ropes, and on the return Tim Jones takes John Thomas down with a dropkick. Both men get up, Jones grabs John by the arm, twists around for a standing armbar, but he quickly grabs John around the leg just above the knee, lifts him up and takes him backwards with a side suplex.

Mark Perletta: John Thomas starting to try to get to his feet and Tim Jones grabs him around the head and shoulders, rolls through and locks John into a cradle, going for a quick pinfall attempt....

ONE!!!

TWO!!

NO!!!

Joey C: Tim Jones with a near-fall right there as John Thomas was lucky to get that shoulder up.

Mark Perletta: Nice attempt at a pinfall there by The Ladies Man, and you always have to be looking out for things like that. A roll-up victory can happen at any time, and we nearly saw one happen there, and that would've resulted in a title change.

Joey C: Which would go well with the title change we saw earlier tonight when Gryffin Anselm took the National Title from Greyson Blade.

Mark Perletta: Tim Jones with John Thomas back on his feet now and he whips him hard into the corner, he follows him in, jumps up onto the second turnbuckle, then launches John towards the center of the ring with a monkey flip. Joey, I'm still not sure what to think about that National Title Match and the way that all went down, but what's done is done, I suppose.

Joey C: And just like I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure you'll ever understand it, so try to keep on the task at hand, will ya?

Mark Perletta: Tim Jones running in and dropping an elbow in the middle of the chest of John Thomas, and then he springs right back up to his feet and runs into the ropes again, and on the return it looks like he's going for another elbow drop and... NO! John Thomas rolls out of the way and gets to his feet.

Back on his feet, John Thomas brings Tim Jones up to his feet and is met with a punch. John Thomas retaliates with a right hand of his own, but when Tim Jones tries for another one, John Thomas blocks it, grabs his arm, twists it into a standing armbar, gets behind Tim and then leaps straight up into the air and nails Jones in the shoulder with a dropkick that sends Tim down to his knees.

Mark Perletta: Nice height on that standing dropkick by John Thomas, and now he picks Tim Jones up, puts him over one of his shoulders... SHOULDER BREAKER!! Nicely done by John Thomas as he continues to work over Tim Jones' shoulder. Thomas getting Tim Jones back to his feet and John twists the arm back into a standing armbar, he walks backwards towards the ropes and as he starts to ascend the turnbuckles, the fans start picking up, and they know what's coming.

After getting to the top rope, John walks halfway down the length of the apron, still holding on to Tim Jones' hand, but as the fans yell NEW SCHOOL, Tim Jones backs up a step, causing John to have to hop down off of the top rope. Tim Jones goes for a short clothesline, but John Thomas ducks underneath it, and then John grabs Jones from behind into a reverse DDT position, but instead of dropping him straight down to the mat, John instead drops Tim's shoulder right down onto his knee.

Joey C: Combination back breaker and Reverse DDT there by John Thomas to continue to work on Tim Jones' shoulder.

Mark Perletta: John keeping in on the attack, he once again goes to the top rope, this time with Tim Jones still down on the mat. Once up there, balance attained, John Thomas leaps backwards, going for the NOT YOUR AVERAGE MOONSAULT, but just in time, Tim Jones rolls out of the way and John Thomas comes crashing down hard to the mat.

Both men slowly get back to their feet and Tim Jones grabs John Thomas by the arm and irish whips him across the ring into the ropes, Jones running in the opposite direction. As they approach one another going full steam, Jones leaps into the air and takes John down with a flying clothesline. The Ladies Man springs back up to his feet and moves towards the corner, taking a quick breather, but then he taps his foot and waits for John Thomas to get up. As he does, Tim Jones steps in and goes for the SNAFU, but John Thomas steps to the side, avoiding the move.

Mark Perletta: John Thomas barely avoids the SNAFU, and finding himself behind Tim Jones, he grabs Jones by the arm, then around the throat and he locks in the Crossface Chicken Wing!

Joey C: Oh my God, the volume in this building just skyrocketed!

Mark Perletta: The fans just went crazy as John Thomas locked in the Crossface Chicken Wing, the men appear to be cheering for John, the women appear to be worried about Tim Jones, who is trying to fight the move. He fights it... he continues to try to get to the ropes... he can't get to the ropes... he tries to pry John Thomas off of him... and he taps out!!

The referee calls for the bell and goes over and takes the World Television Title from the ring attendant and walks over and hands the belt to John Thomas, who puts it over his shoulder, and then offers a hand to Tim Jones to help him up off the mat, where he had fallen down to one knee. Tim Jones gets back on his feet and stretches out his shoulder a bit while John Thomas pats him on the back and then offers a handshake for a match well fought, a gesture that Tim Jones accepts, and then they both exit the ring and head up the ramp. John Thomas stops halfway up the ramp and he turns towards the ring and hoists the World Television Title high above his head, getting another huge pop from the crowd.

Mark Perletta: A nice reaction from the crowd, cheering for the only singles champion they have left to cheer for, now with Gryffin having the National Title and not wanting to cheer him after how he treated Greyson Blade earlier tonight, and with Marcus Marion taking home the World Heavyweight Title last week, obviously not a fan favorite either. What a great World Television Title contest that was between those two competitors, both of whom probably fit into the classification of being a light heavyweight, though fighting with different styles.

Joey C: Now that brings up a question, Marky, you promised last week to have more information on the third Sky High Cup, so what's the deal? Did you get the scoop or not?

Mark Perletta: Well just like millions of people across the country did on Tuesday during Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day, I did get the SCOOP on the Sky High Cup.

Joey C: That was the worst product placement drop I've ever heard...

Mark Perletta: You may not have been satisfied with that comment, but you would've been had you been given a free cone of Cherry Garcia or another of their wonderfull Vermont Ice Cream flavors.

Joey C: Can we get on with the announcement already?

Sky High Cup Announcement

Mark Perletta: We sure can. Now over the past year, True Talent Wrestling sponsored an invitational Round Robin tournament of sorts to help celebrate light heavyweight wrestling, providing the winner with cash as well as a trophy called the Sky High Cup.

Joey C: Right, and there were two of them so far that went the full 7 weeks, with each of the 8 competitors facing off against one another, gaining points for wins and ties, and the top two squaring off each time to determine the cup winner. Loco Martinez won the first Sky High Cup, and Dan Stein won the second.

Mark Perletta: Now when TTW closed its doors, it was in the midst of a THIRD Sky High Cup, and from what I understand there were a lot of people out there who were very disappointed that they wouldn't get to see the Sky High Cup competition anymore, so the emails flooded the inboxes of the members of the front office, so as we announced last week, they sat down and they discussed the situation.

Joey C: What did they end up deciding?

Mark Perletta: Well they haven't finalized plans yet due to some logistics and contract situations, but here's what they did tell me, which I am about to pass along to you. They said that at Rise of the Elite 3, there will be a special match, the winner of which will be awarded the Sky High Cup. As for who will be in that match, we don't have any definitive names, but from what I understand, if a person fits under the weight limit, they will be considered, irregardless of whether that person has a match at Rise of the Elite 3.

Joey C: So some guys might be pulling double duty?

Mark Perletta: That is my understanding. Also, they have informed me that they are in contract negotiations with several people to have them involved in AT LEAST the Sky High Cup match at Rise of the Elite 3, though whether or not those individuals will have long-term deals or whether this is a one time deal, that has yet to be determined.

Joey C: Did they name any names?

Mark Perletta: For various reasons they did not tell me who they were in negotiations with, but what they did tell me is that at least two of the individuals currently work for other organizations, organizations that you know and are very familiar with, organizations that you could watch on a weekly basis, some of whom have held big titles in those organizations.

Joey C: Wow, that is big news, Marky, I can't believe they trusted YOU of all people to deliver all of that. I also can't believe that we're going to have to wait until Rise of the Elite 3 to see more great Sky High Cup action.

Mark Perletta: Well that's another thing, Joey. From what I understand, starting next week there will probably be a Sky High Cup Exhibition match, so chances are that you won't have to wait until Rise of the Elite 3 to see the great light heavyweight action you were used to seeing during the first two Sky High Cup Invitationals.

Voodoo vs Creed

The lights dim and an eerie gray light shines down on the entrance stage as "Passive" by A Perfect Circle begins to play and Nicholas Creed walks out from the back and makes his way down the entrance ramp, the gray spotlight following him as he walks down to the ring alone.

Mark Perletta: First man out for this match is Nicholas Creed, and I find it interesting that Eric Wolfson isn't with him.

Joey C: I'm not sure why, Marky, it's not like Creed needs Wolfson's help. I mean look at what he's done tonight: he got into a brawl with Voodoo, got himself booked against a great opponent, AND set himself up for a Television Title Match for next week.

Mark Perletta: I suppose he did do all of that without Wolfson's direct guidance, but you have to believe that Creed would be better served to have Wolfson at ringside than to not have him at ringside.

Joey C: And what does he prove, exactly, by defeating Voodoo with the help of Eric Wolfson? Nothing. Creed can win this match on his own, and that's what he's going to try to do.

Mark Perletta: Apparently so, and if what we saw between these two earlier is any indication, this is going to be quite a heated battle.

Joey C: Oh I don't doubt it. Voodoo never actually had an in-ring debut back in True Talent Wrestling, but this is hardly his first match.

With Creed in the ring now, his theme song cuts out, the spotlight shuts off, and "Immortal" by Adema starts to play and green light starts to shine up from underneath the entrance stage and ramp. Amidst the green glow, a figure walks down the isle, and as he walks down the ramp, he passes directly over one of the spotlights shining up through the metal grating, and all one can see is a broad maniacal grin with his teeth flashing eerily in the light..

Mark Perletta: Most of the fans of this organization might not know much about Voodoo, but he's strung together quite the career despite only wrestling on and off since he got started in this business.

Joey C: He's accomplished quite a bit in the matches he's competed in, though. Most notably Voodoo defeated the world reknowned Punisher to win the well respected AODWF World Title, and I remember when I saw it happen it was certainly hard to believe.

Mark Perletta: He ended something of a dictatorial reign by Punisher and he did so in convincing fashion, nothing lucky about it. If Voodoo is still on his game, it'll be quite the test for Creed here tonight.

When Voodoo gets into the ring, the arena is suddenly flooded by green light, and when that switches directly to the house lights brought up at match-level brightness, "Immortal" immediately shuts off, and the referee calls for the bell. The two men both rush the center of the ring and start exchanging punches. Creed gets the better of Voodoo and hits a couple in a row, but Voodoo quickly changes the momentum around by grabbing Creed and pulling him straight into a knee-lift to the gut. Then another. Two clubbing double axhandles send Creed down to the mat.

Mark Perletta: Voodoo working Creed over hard, laying the boots into him. I wouldn't expect to see a typical wrestling contest in this match. These two seem to be more about brawling than anything else.

Joey C: Don't be surprised if these guys hit some suplexes, though. Yeah, they are probably going to do more fighting than wrestling, but they both seem to know more than a few holds and throws.

Mark Perletta: Voodoo sends Creed into the ropes now, and on the return he takes Creed down with a high leg lariat.

Joey C: Now he goes right back to those stomps, and I would hate to be in Creed's position.

Mark Perletta: Creed getting up to his hands and knees and grabbing Voodoo by the leg and now he just tripped him up. Creed back to his feet now and he lands some punches. Creed blocks a punch, he hits a nice head-and-arm capture suplex!

Joey C: And now Creed is the one controlling things, laying into Voodoo with quick repeatitive stomps to the back.

Creed controls the flow of the match momentarily, getting Voodoo to his feet and locking him immediately into a sleeperhold. He has it locked in until the ref realizes that it's more of a chokehold than anything, so he makes Creed break the hold. Creed tries to stay on the offensive with some punches, but Voodoo blocks one of them, grabs Creed by the arm, twists it, and then drops Creed to the mat with a hook kick to the head.

Mark Perletta: Voodoo now staying in on the attack and really laying some shots into the head of Nicholas Creed.

Joey C: Picks him back up off the mat... nice quick brainbuster by Voodoo.

Mark Perletta: Creed fighting to get back to his feet, but Voodoo the obvious aggressor. Voodoo attempts an irish whip but Creed reverses it, on the return taking Voodoo down with a stiff clothesline. Voodoo back up to his feet, another clothesline by Creed.

Joey C: Creed right back in this match, OH and a nice backbreaker there on Voodoo, and Creed starts choking him again, and the referee pulls him off of there.

Mark Perletta: Damage done and Voodoo looks a bit more worn down now.

Joey C: Creed just staying in on those chokes!

Mark Perletta: The referee warns SIN again and so he stops and then gets Voodoo up off the mat, sends him towards the corner with an irish whip. Creed follows behind and Voodoo hops up onto the second rope and leaps backwards, twisting to face Creed as he does so, but Creed's ready for him!

Creed catches Voodoo in mid-air and goes for an inverted atomic drop, but Voodoo is able to bend enough at the knee to not really feel it, and when he's close enough to the ground that his feet will touch, Voodoo puts his feet on the mat, jumps back up, grabs on to Creed's head, twists around and takes him down with a Tornado DDT.

Mark Perletta: Nice reversal there by Voodoo, and boy did he make the most of that opportunity.

Joey C: That he did, and the flipping guillotine legdrop from a standing position was a nice follow up.

Mark Perletta: Well despite not knowing who to cheer for, these fans sound like they're having a great time watching this match, with that Tornado DDT getting a good pop from the fans in the arena.

Joey C: With these two guys, they're never really going to say or do anything in regards to the fans, they're never going to get cheap pops based on saying a city name, they're never going to claim that anything they do is for "the people", but they will have their fans, and not just in their hometowns. People are going to relate to these guys, and while they might not be as mainstream as guys like John Thomas or Devastation or Lcoo Martinez, they're still going to have a core fan-base who just love to watch them fight.

Voodoo bringing Creed up to his feet now and he sends him into the ropes, and on the return Voodoo jumps off the mat and it looks like he's going for a headscissors, but Creed stops himself from flipping over, shifts his weight backwards, grabs Voodoo before he can complete the spin, lifts him up and then slams him down to the mat with a lay-out powerbomb.

Mark Perletta: And now ALL of the fans are cheering for that move as the action keeps getting more and more intense, and it looks like it's going to take a momentary break now with both men on the mat taking a breather and trying to recover from the past couple minutes.

Joey C: That move took a lot out of Voodoo and Creed was lucky to get that move off. Voodoo was picking up the pace of the match again, and...

Mark Perletta: Wait a minute, what's this?

Joey C: It's Cronos Diamante!

Mark Perletta: I didn't even think he was going to be part of this organization, what with the history between he and Rob Belote, but yes, that is Cronos!

Cronos Diamante hopped over the steel guardrail and immediately got into the ring. Voodoo had nearly risen to his feet and Cronos just clotheslined him down to the mat from behind and then turned him over onto his back and started laying into him with a rapid series of punches. Spotting the interference, the referee runs over and calls for the match to end, the bell ringing three or four times. Noticing what's going on, Creed runs over and tackles Cronos off of Voodoo, but he's unable to continue mounting an offensive, as Cronos rolls through and shoves Creed off of him and underneath the bottom rope.

Joey C: Swift move by Cronos Diamante to send Creed out of the ring where he can't get involved any further.

Mark Perletta: That little break in time was all Voodoo needed, as he's now back on his feet. Cronos hops up to continue working on his initial target, but Voodoo is the first to start laying into Cronos with right hands. Cronos blocks one and nails Voodoo down to the mat with a hard left hand, dropping him to his knees, and immediately Cronos lays into Voodoo with a hard kick, then another, then as he goes for a third Voodoo is able to block his head to keep from getting seriously injured, and now out of the corner of his eye Diamante spots Creed about to hop up onto the apron, and sensing that now might be a good opportunity to exit, Cronos runs towards the ropes and does a baseball slide out of the ring.

Joey C: Good idea there by Cronos to exit the ring before Voodoo and Creed got the opportunity for a double team. They don't like each other, we know that, that's what lead to this match in the first place, but I guarantee you that if Creed had re-entered that ring, they both would've been gunning for Cronos.

Mark Perletta: I think you're right, Joey, and although I don't know if he was originally going to make this call, having seen that Cronos wasn't there to help Nicholas Creed, the referee called this match a NO DECISION... and it looks like Cronos picked up a microphone as he passed by the ring announcer, going the opposite way around the ring to avoid Creed who decided to stay on the outside.

Cronos begins walking up the ramp backwards in order to keep his eyes on both parties at the ringside area. He pauses halfway. Creed spends his time on the outside of the ring with uncharacteristic patience and interest in Cronos' speech. Voodoo still standing inside fully aware of the possible threat outside the ring but more interested in what Cronos has to say.

Cronos Diamante: I bet you didn't think you would see me again, Charles. I bet you didn't either, Nick. I didn't think I'd be here again either, but I have certain matters that need addressing and ultimately they need be concluded, so I showed up here tonight and laid low, deciding to pick my spot. When I heard Cartwright sign this match, I knew this match would be that perfect opportunity to make my point clear to both of you. Wake up calls. Reality checks if you will.

The crowd isn't quite sure how to take Cronos' presence tonight. With the attack on Voodoo and Creed and now a speech, most of them decide to postpone any words toward the former TTW superstar. But there are some fans who can't resist the boos; although so few they can barely be heard.

Cronos Diamante: I came here to make a point to both of you. I'll be starting with you, Charles. I know most of the fans here in attendance know you as Voodoo and don't really know our history, but this is on a personal level and the crowd doesn't matter… do they?

Voodoo stands motionless, listening. The crowd around the arena boo Cronos as he says that they don't matter. As Cronos continues, they quiet back down.

Cronos Diamante: You see… the day you and I decided to play our mind games with Eric, we became a team in every sense of the word and concept; we always were a team honestly, even without the fed to work in. But you decided to backstab the fake retirement we were going to work with by attacking me. I'm sure when you did that, part of you thought I'd just fade away. Sorry to disappoint you.

Cronos stands there on the ramp and gets a smirk on his face, and then he looks over at SIN.

Cronos Diamante: As for you, Nick… the supposed "protégé" of Mr. Eric Wolfson. A piece of advice that I suggest you take: You need to keep out of the business of Charles and I. You can take all that pent up misplaced anger and concentrate on somebody who cares enough to fight with a supposed "up and comer" like yourself. I personally consider you pathetic. Eric Wolfson making decisions for you, a man whose only "legacy" is a World Title he won because of the common favoritism of AODWF's booking team giving him a shot at an already weakened opponent. It’s like the blind leading the blind, or rather, the pathetic coaching the pathetic. You've made no impact in TTW so what makes you think you can make an impact in LEGACY?

Despite the crowd's obvious want to boo Cronos for his words, they can't deny the ill contempt they feel for Creed. There isn't a determined lesser evil yet so they haven't the foggiest who to boo nor why. But the cut at Eric Wolfson was starting to shift momentum.

Cronos Diamante: Bottom line, Creed… stay the fuck out of our business. You're best suited to fight a loser like Jake Dominion if you want the rub from a veteran or the self-proclaimed "Outlaw" Greyson Blade.

And the boos begin. The crowd doesn't care about lesser evils anymore. Cronos sending insults at fan favorite veterans like Greyson Blade and Jake Dominion. Cronos simply smirks.

Mark Perletta: He's finally done it. The crowd is officially booing him. I knew the silence wouldn't last for long.

Joey C: Like that isn't a good thing? Cronos Diamante should be hated. He's at his BEST when he's hated.

Mark Perletta: Well he is right. This is a fight between Voodoo and Cronos and it's personal to the very highest level and the two of them have a big score to settle. Creed doesn't seem to belong in the equation, although from the look in Creed's eyes here tonight, I don't think he's going to just move on to someone else as nicely as Cronos seems to hope he will.

Cronos' attention turns back to Voodoo, and the rage silently builds back up in Cronos, and after a moment's pause, he continues.

Cronos Diamante: You fucked up in turning your back on me in TTW, and now it's end game time, Charles. All you can do is pick the place and time when it ends for you, but I'll be seeing you around pal.

"Crashing Around You" by Machinehead kicks up over the public address system and Cronos takes a few more steps backwards before he turns and disappears to the locker room area and eventually the far reaches of the arena.

Mark Perletta: Well folks, I didn't want to interrupt what was just going on to explain all of this, but there's a lot of history between Cronos and Voodoo. Sure, there's an aspect of this that stems from things that happened in TTW, but a lot of it dates back at least five years to AODWF.

Joey C: Voodoo's real name is Charles Winborne, and his half brother is none other than the man who Cronos Diamante probably hates more than anyone else in this world, and that man is OutKast, Sean Kygon.

Mark Perletta: There are years of hostility between that exist between OutKast and Cronos Diamante, and that's part of the reason why I think things have gotten so heated beween Voodoo and Cronos. For years, Cronos and Voodoo have been as close as brothers. When they tagged up together, their chemistry was phenomenal, and if it weren't for their interests outside of the wrestling business, many people believe that a team of Cronos and Voodoo could've become one of the greatest tag teams in the history of our business.

Joey C: Needless to say no one expects that they're going to be reforming that team anytime soon, not with the hostilities that formed between them back in True Talent Wrestling.

Mark Perletta: Hostilities that spilled over here tonight. Now from what I understand, there was some sort of deal between Voodoo and Cronos, the details of which I don't know much about, but what I do know is that there was some miscommunication between the two of them on how something should happen, there was an argument...

Joey C: ...and then Voodoo decked him!

Mark Perletta: Exactly why that happened exactly, what Voodoo's motivation was, that we're not sure, but what we do know is that when Voodoo decked Cronos, he told him to either leave the business for good... or come back with a vengeance, so just when it seemed like Cronos was gone for good... he picks option two.

Joey C: Things really were just between Cronos and Voodoo as far as history is concerned, but twice, now, Creed has found himself in the middle of things, once back in TTW, and then again here tonight.

Mark Perletta: As much as Cronos keeps telling Creed to stay out of this and to let the two of them settle things, somehow I just don't get the impression that Creed is going to let that happen, not after he's been physically assaulted twice by Cronos Diamante.

Joey C: Guys like Creed, they don't just forget about things like that.

HISTORY LESSONS

Mark Perletta: My guess is that we haven't seen the last of the encounters between any of these three men, but we have a tag title match coming up, and with the new viewers LEGACY is starting to get, along with our announced commitment to pay tribute to the history of TTW, the producers and I thought it would be a good idea to give you all the history of those involved in the Main Event to help you understand better who they are and how they got here.

Joey C: For those of you who know more than you ever cared to about Stephen Rawlings, Chris Turner, or either of the Nerds, feel free to do something else for the next couple of minutes, just be sure to come back when you hear the opening bell ring, because that'll signal the start of the match.

Mark Perletta: When young Herbert J Moxley applied to be an employee of True Talent Wrestling, he was just looking for an internship. After trying several of the jobs, he found out that the only one he was really interested in...

Joey C: ...and the only one he didn't completeley SUCK at...

Mark Perletta: Was getting into the ring as a competitor, and although he hadn't had any formal training, he was much more adept at avoiding getting beaten up by professional wrestlers than he was at being a referee or a commentator or a backstage interviewer.

Joey C: Probably from all the time he spent avoiding bullies in his youth!!

Mark Perletta: After competing for a short while in singles wrestling, he found himself with some friends, one of whom he seemed to have an unusual bond with...

Joey C: A bond of dorkiness.

Mark Perletta: Herbert J Moxley and third generation technical wrestling prodigy D.J. Cassidy teamed up, and after having a few matches, the team was dubbed "Revenge of the Nerds", cashing in on their loveable awkwardness. Their big break came when they won the opportunity to fight for the tag team titles, a match they ended up winning, taking the belts from the Beautiful People.

Joey C: Which only occurred because of friction between Jonny Johnson and Christopher Davis due to Davis' approaching retirement.

Mark Perletta: Either way, Herbert J Moxley and D.J. Cassidy, a pairing most would have considered unlikely to be a successfull team, found themselves with the top tag team titles in the business. Now how Rawlings and Turner end up with these title shots, that's an interesting story as well. These two cousins, who couldn't be any less alike if they tried...

Joey C: And who couldn't hate each other more if they tried...

Mark Perletta: Well now that's not entirely true. Stephen Rawlings gets upset with Chris Turner, but I don't think there's a real hatred there, and Chris Turner has always shown nothing but love towards Stephen. Anyway, basically Chris Turner wasn't happy with the fact that Stephen Rawlings had befriended Moxley and Cassidy, a jealousy that escalated further when Herbert J Moxley, whether intentionally or unintentionally, hit Chris Turner in the back with a steel chair during a match well over a month ago.

Joey C: Rob Belote saw trouble brewing, he didn't want to wait to see how things heated up or whether they would cool off, so knowing how badly Stephen Rawlings wants to become a Grand Slam Champion, he booked this match to give everyone an opportunity they could get excited about.

Mark Perletta: That's a very interesting point, Joey. Back in the fan forum that often went by the name of TTW 24/7, a fan posted a question asking who people thought would become the first person to win all four of the major titles in TTW. When he was looking over those forums to see what the fans had to say, Rawlings apparently saw this thread and I'm told at that moment, Stephen Rawlings made it his goal to become the first ever Grand Slam Champion. Now from what I understand, a trophy is going to be given to the first man to have won all four major championships in LEGACY, which includes the World Heavyweight Title, the World Tag Team Championship, the World Television Title, as well as the National Championship. The title histories from when the belts were known as "TTW" titles will carry over, however, the original fourth belt was not the National Title, it was the Midwest Title, and with that belt now retired, the National Title takes its place.

Joey C: And I don't want to hear anyone complaining about that anyway. The Midwest Title was never going to live up to the fame that the National Title would eventually get. For starters, Marcus Marion, our current World Champion, was the first man to hold the National Title. Secondly, come on, it's the Midwest we're talking about. Have you ever been to the Midwest? Aside from Chicago, it's NOTHIN'!!

Mark Perletta: Well folks, that's about as much background as I can give at this time without putting anyone to sleep, and the timing works out well, because next up, we have our main event match, and it is for the World Tag Team Championships.

World Tag Team Title Match
Odd Cousins vs Revenge of the Nerds (c)

The lights dim and "Champion" by Grinspoon hits the PA system, and out from the back walks Stephen Rawlings. Following about fifteen feet behind him is his cousin, Chris Turner. The two don't appear to be interested in talking over strategy or even walking near each other.

Mark Perletta: Here come the challengers, and for two guys with title shots, they don't look all that happy to be coming down to the ring for the main event.

Joey C: If these two can't even walk down to the ring together, how in the world are they going to stand a chance against a team who get along like brothers!? I mean, like them or not, respect their ability or not, Cassidy and Moxley at least know how to work together. Turner and Rawlings have completely different styles and don't appear to be willing to help try to make them mash well together.

Mark Perletta: We've seen in the past that two people with completely different styles can often make the best team mates, but they have to work together to find ways to allow their styles to mix, to weave in together.

Rawlings and Turner get into the ring, still not really even looking at each other, and their music fades and is replaced with the opening guitar riff from Nada Surf's "Popular". When Moxley and Cassidy step out from the back with the World Tag Team Titles around their waists and huge grins on their faces, the crowd pops loudly, and so they stop at the top of the ramp to enjoy the moment, and then they walk down the isle and get into the ring.

Joey C: Even when facing Rawlings and Turner, two men who are at least to some degree fan favorites, the fans still find a way to cheer for these two.

Mark Perletta: People love an underdog, and for whatever reason, no matter what they do, Herbert J Moxley and DJ Cassidy will probably always be viewed as underdogs.

Joey C: That's because people don't have much faith in their abilities, and really, why should they? I don't see any reason for them to think any differently.

Mark Perletta: All four men in the ring now, and it looks like Chris Turner is trying to convince Stephen Rawlings to let him start off the match, and Rawlings doesn't appear to be having any of it.

Joey C: Turner just wants to prove his worth to his cousin, that's all.

Mark Perletta: I think it's more about the fact that Chris Turner wants the first shot at Moxley or Cassidy, that's what I think it's all about.

Joey C: Well either way it looks like Stephen Rawlings is going to be the one who starts things off, and across the ring from him is going to be D.J. Cassidy.

Mark Perletta: The referee calls for the bell and here we go. They lock up in the middle of the ring and Rawlings starts things off with a headlock. Reverse by Cassidy. Reverse by Rawlings. Cassidy lifts Rawlings up and takes him down to the mat and twists around into another reversal, now putting Rawlings in a wear-down hold. Chris Turner doesn't look happy on the outside at all.

Joey C: Doesn't Rawlings realize this is a big opportunity for him? If he's going to try to become the first guy to win the LEGACY Championship Grand Slam, he needs this match and should be trying to work harder than this! That's why Turner looks upset on the outside!

Mark Perletta: It's still early on here, no need to get frantic over anything just yet.

Cassidy continues to work over the neck of Stephen Rawlings in that rest hold, and slowly he tries to bring him to his feet. Immediately Rawlings backs into the ropes and then shoves Cassidy forward, sending him into the opposite ropes. On the return Rawlings takes Cassidy down with a huge flipping dropkick. When both men get to their feet, Cassidy reaches out and shakes Rawlings' hand out of respect, and then they circle the ring again. As Rawlings moves in to lock up, Cassidy takes him down with a hiptoss. Rawlings back up, Cassidy goes to lock up, Rawlings ducks under and gets behind him and then grabs Cassidy around the waist and takes him down hard with a german suplex, bridging into a pinfall opportunity...

ONE!!!

TWO!!!

Mark Perletta: Cassidy shoulders out at two and gets back to his feet. Cassidy and Rawlings lock up again and Cassidy takes Rawlings down with a snap suplex, and as they both get back to their feet, Cassidy tags in Moxley.

Joey C: Turn around, Stephen! Turner wants the tag!

Mark Perletta: I think Rawlings realizes that Turner wants to get into the ring, and he doesn't want to let him. Rawlings and Moxley lock up now, Stephen getting Moxley into a side headlock, and this is why Rawlings doesn't want Turner in the ring with Moxley. Stephen and Herbert are friends and can have a respectable match with one another, whereas all Turner would do if he got into the match would be to try to brawl with Moxley and tear him apart.

Joey C: They're not going to be able to win this match unless they work as a team, Marky. Stephen realizes that, and you KNOW deep down how badly Stephen wants to be a champion.

Mark Perletta: Well we keep hearing that he doesn't like to do tag team wrestling, but my sources tell me that he's not enjoying being partners with Chris Turner and THAT is the real reason why he keeps saying he doesn't want to be involved in tag team wrestling.

Having just taken Moxley down to the mat, Rawlings picks him up and irish whips him into the ropes, but as Rawlings goes for a back body drop, Moxley does a good job scouting the move and he is able to leapfrog Rawlings, hit the opposite ropes hard, and when Rawlings turns around Moxley leaps into the air and takes Rawlings down with a flying clothesline.

Mark Perletta: Moxley in on the attack after Rawlings was wearing him down on the mat, and now Moxley's up and he's shaking the ropes almost like the Ultimate Warrior!

Joey C: This guy's a nut!

Mark Perletta: This Georgia crowd sure seems to find him entertaining, though, and he makes the tag in to D.J. Cassidy. Cassidy back into the match and he helps Rawlings to his feet, only to take him down with a bodyslam. Rawlings tries to get back to his feet and Cassidy tries to go for a suplex, but Rawlings blocks it with his leg and then Rawlings takes Cassidy down with a vertical suplex.

Neither man stays down too long and when they get up, Cassidy grabs Rawlings by the arm and irish whips him into the corner and then follows in with a splash. Cassidy then tags in Moxley and before leaving the ring, he irish whips Rawlings into an empty corner, and when Moxley gets into the ring, Cassidy gives Moxley an extra bit of momentum by irish whipping him into the corner where Rawlings is waiting, but seeing it coming, Rawlings moves out of the way and Moxley hits a leaping splash in the corner with nobody home.

Joey C: Make the tag!!!

Mark Perletta: Chris Turner with his arm stretched out as far into the ring as he can reach, Rawlings stumbles over and MAKES THE TAG!!!

Joey C: Get 'em, Turner!!

As Turner runs into the ring he first clotheslines Moxley down to the mat, then he runs over and clotheslines D.J. Cassidy down off of the apron, and then goes back over and starts to work over Moxley, picking him up and hitting a back breaker. Without letting go, Turner hits another back breaker, and then he lifts him up into a bodyslam position, but instead of driving him into the mat, Turner runs over and smashes Moxley's back into the corner turnbuckle, then turns around and drives him into the mat with a powerslam.

Mark Perletta: Chris Turner gets into this match, and he starts cleaning house!

Joey C: Even after knocking down both Moxley and Cassidy, he's not stopping just yet!

Mark Perletta: Turner getting Moxley up to his feet, lays into him with a big clubbing forearm to the face, and then he goes for an irish whip. On the return Turner takes Moxley down with a shoulder block.

Picking him back up to his feet, Turner once again irish whips him into the ropes and this time goes for a clothesline, which Moxley ducks. As Moxley keeps running, unbeknownst to Turner or Rawlings, Moxley makes the tag in to D.J. Cassidy, and Moxley keeps running. Turner ducks down and lifts Moxley up and flips him high into the air with a back body drop, but as Turner turns around to continue the attack, D.J. Cassidy runs in from behind and takes Chris Turner down with a bulldog.

Joey C: Hey ref, break up the double team!!

Mark Perletta: You're not the only one that wants the referee to break up the double team. Stephen Rawlings is yelling at the referee from the outside, and Joey, I don't think he saw the tag in to Cassidy that Moxley made when he was rebounding off those ropes.

Cassidy helps Turner to his feet and then he and Moxley grab Turner around the head, lift him up into a vertical suplex and hold him there for eight seconds, then they fall forward, sending Turner down onto his stomach. Cassidy grabs Moxley by the arm, irish whips him into the ropes, then on the return Cassidy hiptosses Moxley right down onto the back of Chris Turner in a double team move that excites the crowd.

Mark Perletta: A double-team move that the crowd seemed to like, but that looks like it was the last straw for Rawlings who thinks that D.J. Cassidy is in the ring illegally, and he gets into the ring and nails Cassidy from behind with a dropkick. Moxley, who was on his way back to his corner, hears that happen, so he turns and runs back, and it appears that he's asking Rawlings what he's doing.

Joey C: Oh this could be the end of a friendship right here!!

Mark Perletta: There are definitely some signals that are going to need to be uncrossed, but for now, I think you're right. Rawlings looks mad and so does Moxley. The referee moves in and tries to help sort out the situation, leaving Turner and Cassidy out of the picture. As both men work to get to their feet, Cassidy is the first up, and at first he goes to continue working on Turner, but then he walks in the direction of the argument between Rawlings, Moxley, and the referee.

Joey C: Turner with a low blow!!!

Mark Perletta: Chris Turner gets up off the mat just enough to hit D.J. Cassidy with a low blow before Cassidy can get involved in the discussion, and Turner up to his feet! Turner grabs Cassidy by the arm, sets him up into a pumphandle position, lifts him up, supporting Cassidy's shoulders on his right shoulder... and then he falls backwards into a Muscle Buster!!!

The referee, Rawlings and Moxley all feel the ring shake after the Muscle Buster, and when Rawlings and Moxley try to get involved, the referee gets them to leave the ring, noting the fact that Turner and Cassidy are the legal men. Turner picks Cassidy up to his feet, turns him around, pulls him backwards, hooks his head and then DROPS him with the move he calls "Death by Chocolate", a Reverse DDT, and then he immediately goes for the pinfall...

ONE!!!

TWO!!!

THREE!!!

The referee stands up and calls for the bell, and a confused Stephen Rawlings gets into the ring and walks over to check up on D.J. Cassidy. The ring attendant hands the referee the LEGACY World Tag Team Titles, and the referee walks over and hands them to Chris Turner. As Rawlings starts to try to say something to Moxley, Turner gets his cousin's attention and hands him one of the belts.

Mark Perletta: I can't believe it! Chris Turner and Stephen Rawlings have won the LEGACY World Tag Team Championships!!

Joey C: You're not the only one, Marky, look at the face of Stephen Rawlings!!

Mark Perletta: Well I imagine that we'll hear more about his reaction to all of this next week, because for this week, we're all out of time!! Goodnight and have a safe weekend!!
