11 . 28 . 2010

Darkness. We hear rain. A flash of lightning followed by booming thunder. The guitar opening of Kings of Leon's "Radioactive" erupts and we're Taken to the brick wall of a non descript arena.

"When the roll is called up yonder
I hope you see me there"

A shot of a worn looking posters. The rain runs down the faded ink of the Destined for Greatness 2008 poster. The wind catches it and rips it away, revealing a poster for Destined for Greatness 2009. The wind catches THAT and we're looking at a poster with the card for 2010's Destined for Greatness. We dive into the poster, and come up in a locker room.

"It's in the water, it's where you came from
It's in the water, it's where you came from"

We get a shot of an exhausted Greyson Blade standing under a steaming hot shower after a brutal contest.

"When the crowd began to wonder
And they cry to see your face"

A series of shots of Legacy fans. We see joy. We see anger. We see fear. Finally tears running down the cheeks of a young fan. We zoom on the tears.

"It's in the water, it's in the story of where you came from
The sons and daughters in all their glory, it's gonna shape them"

Stephen Rawlings limps backstage. He finds himself at an ice bath. He takes a deep breath and prepares himself before making the icy plunge.

"And when they clash and come together, and start rising
Just drink the water where you came from, where you came from"

Issac Entragian is washing his hands, and takes a giant hand full of water and splashes it over his alabaster skin. It washes down his face as he sneers at his own reflection.

"You're the rose that was called from yonder
Never sold yourself away"

We see Hazard talking to fans. It becomes Laura signing an autograph for a young female fan. Becomes Kidd helping someon who is part of Legacy's crew carry a box backstage. Becomes Crazy Boy stopping to pose for a picture with a fan who's holding his World Heavyweight Championship.

"It's in the water, it's in the story of where you came from
Your sons and daughters in all their glory it's gonna shape them"

We flash to a sweat soaked John Thomas in the gym. He takes a long swig of water out of a bottle. We jump to the inside of a competitive pool. We see a tanned body in a pink Speedo swimming laps. He does a flip turn and a very competitive looking freestyle to the wall. Loco Martinez pops up, panting.

"And when they clash and come together, and start rising"

We see two blurry figured inside a Legacy Ring. Our focus is on the crowd who is up out of their seats. Hands in the air as if this was a religious experience.

"Just drink the water where you came from, where you came from"

We "jump out" of the poster. We are looking at the card and the pictures of the combatants standing face to face.

"it's in the water, it's where you came from... Where you came from"
Loco nose to nose with Laura. Issac and Hazard exchanging an icy glare. John Thomas and Kenji Yamada.

"it's in the water"
Cronos staring at Mirage with demonic intent. Gryffin and Matthew Dawson The Tao of Valor between them. The shadows of the rest of VIP standing behind the Highlight of the Night.
"it's where you came from...Where you came from"

Kidd and Garvin each blood soaked, but with smiles on their faces. The No Limits title between them.

"And when they clash and come together and start rising"

Four teams: VIP, Tres Bien, Domination, and The Saunders Family surround a ladder, and at the top of the ladder, the World Tag Team Championships.

"Just drink the water "

Stephen Rawlings and Greyson Blade with the Hawkins Memorial Trophy between them.

"where you came from,"

X-Calibur sneers and Crazy Boy smirks with the Legacy World Heavyweight Championship stretched between them.

"where you came from"

The Music Fades. Another Flash of Lightning and Boom of Thunder. The wind whips as the rain comes down in sheets. Its now this poster's turn to be grabbed by the wind, and as the wind is about to rip it from its spot on the wall we snap to the Destined for Greatness Logo.

Stepping Up

The ring. The hordes of screaming fans, some from Georgia, others having traveled to Atlanta from other spots in the country, a few dozen making the trek from other parts of the world. The cameraman rushes up the entrance walkway directly from the edge of the ring apron all the way up towards the entrance stage.

Boom... Boom boom boom BOOM BOOM BOOM HISS!! Crackle crackle pop pop pop boom boom BOOM!!!!

A rediculous amount of pyro shoot up from the stage and all around the border of the LEGACY Vision jumbotron, the fireworks celebrating the biggest event of the LEGACY pay per view calendar year. After the array of red and gold and silver fireworks finish exploding, we again see the fans from all over the arena cheering, going over to a view of the announce team trio, each wearing a tuxedo. Alan Ducard is wearing a traditional black tux with a burgundy and black bow tie and a vest with burgundy and gold stripes. Jimmy Yates has on a white jacket and a bow tie which matches Ducard's, his vest nearly a mirror of Alan's, aside from the incorporation of the white. On the other side of the lead announcer is Bryan Harris, sporting a burgundy tux jacket, a white shirt and a black bolo tie.

Jimmy Yates: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the night, the event, the pay per view you've been waiting for; Destined For Greatness is LIVE and in living color!

Alan Ducard: This is the biggest event on the LEGACY calendar, as you might understand from the pyrotechnics display which you were just greeted with, and what an explosive night of action this should be!

Bryan Harris: A World Championship is going to change hands, legends are going to be made in the tag team division, VIP are going to not only control two of the championships before the night is over, but also the career of Gryffin Anselm. The career of a hardcore competitor is going to be put to rest by a duct-tape wielding psycho...

Jimmy Yates: And those are just the title matches!

Alan Ducard: That's not even to mention the five other non title matches, including the finals of the 2010 Hawkins Memorial Tournament!

Bryan Harris: There were also three matches which took place back on Friday night, and as some of you know a new Network Champion was crowned, but more on that as the evening continues.

The opening bell sounds, tolling the beginning of the evening.

Laura Seton vs Loco Martinez

Alan Ducard: Our following contest has been nothing short of heated for nearly two years, when Loco Martinez set his sights on Laura Seton.

Jimmy Yates: Cyber Bullied, is more like it, Al. Loco made this girl’s life a living hell! There is nothing he won’t stoop to... as we heard last Strife with the apparent relationship between Martinez and Laura’s younger sister, Madison.

Bryan Harris: Don’t Hate, Yates. Just cuz he’s got game, and scored himself a prime, “piece” don’t begrudge him THAT.

Jimmy Yates: I question his motives. He has, for months and months and months go to whatever length to mess with Laura. So who’s to say this wasn’t part of that?

Alan Ducard: Well we can’t know Loco’s motives when it comes to young Madison, but we definitely know what Laura thought of it when she found out.

Bryan Harris: Yeah, we do! Eff Bomb Central!

Jimmy Yates: Its safe to say I wouldn’t want to be Loco Martinez going into this match. All that frustration. All the embarrassment. All the Rage. Laura Seton will look to unleash all of that emotion and shut up, Loco Martinez once and for all.

Bryan Harris: And Loco Martinez will see his plan come to fruition and he will, once again, rid Legacy of someone who doesn’t belong.

Aland Ducard: Well we’re about to see WHICH one of of you is right.

Josephina Colbert: The Following contest is set for ONE Fall. Coming to the ring first...

The Lights go out. The Legacy Jumbo Tron flashes of a whirling fast paced flyover shot of Philadelphia and we hear a voice over.

“Ladies and Gentlemen. Please stand and show the proper respect and devotion to THE Reason why you’re all here, tonight.” (crowd unleashes their boos)

“This man is not only a living, breathing, walking, talking, LEGEND. He is an institution to THIS Industry. HE, like, The Art Museum Steps (shot of the Philadelphia Art Museum), Like the Rocky Statue (shot of the Rocky Statue), like the famed Spectrum, Pat’s and Geno’s is a Philadelphia Institution. He is THE Greatest Show on Earth, and each and everyone of your days is about to be graced by a presence SECOND... TO... NONE... SO... RISE UP, Children-”

There is Static for a moment, and then silence.

“ON ANOTHER DAY, C’MON C’MON!”

The Boos are now deafening, nearly drowning out the Von Bondies’ “C’mon C’mon” as Loco Martinez steps from the back. He smirks as he looks over the crowd with disdain. Crowds hurl insults his way as he bobs his way to the ring. He gets to the ring, and turns throwing his arms over the top rope, and rolling backwards into the ring. He lands on his knees with his chest across the middle rope, his head hanging out between the ropes. His tongue wagging as he really enjoys the crowd’s hatred.

Josephina Colbert: From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Standing 6 feet, 1 inch, and heWeighed in and 222 pounds... He …. IS... LLLLLLLLLLLOCO MMMMMMMAAAARRRRRTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZ!!!

More boos as Loco loosens up, stretching in his corner as the sound dies down as we await Laura’s entrance.

The opening strains of The Radio's “Whatever Gets You Through Today” ring out as the Atlanta crowd lets out an enthusiastic cheer, knowing whom is on her way.

Jimmy Yates: A new city but another warm ovation for LEGACY's sweetheart.

Bryan Harris: Sweetheart?? You DID hear the filth that came from her mouth at the last show, right? Not exactly sugar and candies.

As the intro plays, we see a number of young fans awaiting the next competitor, as well as a few signs; “Laura's Legion,” “Laura > Loco” and the almost obligatory “Marry Me, Laura!” We then view the LEGACY-tron as “LAURA SETON” appears in a pinkish-purple hue to the right. Laura's figure, with head down, appears on the screen to the left of the name.

“Someone said today...”

The 'tron version of her lifts her head, giving a big smile in the process as we view the arena again.

“There's no other way of playin'...”

Wearing the “15” version of her LEGACY “Milk & Cookies” t-shirt, navy blue warmup pants and matching wrestling boots, Laura steps out to a very loud and supportive contingent of fans—doing so with a big smile on her face. To her left is Madison, wearing a Destined For Greatness 2010 t-shirt, black jeans and matching Ugg boots and her frosted-blonde hair down. Laura takes a couple steps, then leans forward and “explodes” upwards, arms out to her sides as a blast of red pyro goes off behind the two women. A blast of white, then blue, then one of all three colors mixed together ensue. After the last blast, the two head for the ring.

Bryan Harris: There's no question that that smile's just for show. I'm sure inside she's steaming and once this one gets going, she'll be acting like a woman on her period—which she very well may be right now.

Alan Ducard: That's probably an unnecessary remark, but you could be right the smile may only be for show.

Laura points at Josephine with small “HEY!” being yelled out, before quickly turning around and pointing a thumb at the back of her “shirzee,” as if a cue.

Josephine Colbert: ....NUMBER 15...LAURAAAA SEE-TONNN!

“All the time we have for life...”

Getting to the end of the elevated entrance ramp, Laura points to the center of the ring and has a couple words with Madison. Madison climbs into the ring as Laura hops off the ramp to the right. She exchanges high-fives with a number fans in the first couple rows as well as a lucky few getting a quick hug and even acknowledging the “Laura's Legion” sign.

Alan Ducard: We've heard her apologizing on TV since our last show for her abusive language. As we can see from her reception, either the fans have more than accepted or they didn't feel it was necessary.

Bryan Harris: Fans are idiots. She tossed them a bone with this “innocent girl next door” garbage and they took it.

She turns and dives into the ring. Laura goes to, from our hard-camera view, the near-left corner and gets to a three-point stance. In mid-ring, Madison acts as if taking a snap and drops back to pass. Laura rushes in and lunges forward as Madison evades the “sack.” Madison takes a few steps to her left before turning the other way, only to be playfully “sacked.” Laura gets up and flexes both arms, her smile growing even bigger.

Jimmy Yates: Yes, she's been given utter hell by Loco the last couple years, but look at that smile. I can't buy that she's in any kind of sour mood right now.

Madison gets up after a second and the sisters turn to each other and have a quick “air bump” at the hips. Laura makes sure to land at the center of the ring and arches back to her “I am all that is woman!” pose—holding it for a couple seconds as cameras flash over the arena. She then heads for the far-right turnbuckle and leaps on the middle ropes and puts her arms in the shape of an “L” as more flashes go off, which is done at all four corners.

Bryan Harris: So you're saying she's not pissed.

Jimmy Yates: Not right now. WILL she be? Sure. We know her and we know how she gets, especially in something as hotly contested as these two competitors have made this become. I just think she's playing this right. Having this “window” for a positive attitude will give her an edge. Walking around all ticked off for weeks on end certainly doesn't spell for success. Not in my book anyway.

Bryan Harris: Thank you, Mr. Psychologist.

Laura gets to her home corner and as she hops off the ropes, rips off her warmup pants and removes her t-shirt, revealing a replica home white basketball uniform of the Washington Mystics, a navy blue “15” on the back of the jersey, though no team name on the front. She ties her hair in a ponytail and wraps an elastic band around her scalp to keep the rest of her hair at bay. She turns and begins to circle with Loco, they’re locked in an icy staredown.

Alan Ducard: My goodness... look at that staredown. The cliche’ “If looks could kill”, comes to mind...

Jimmy Yates: We’d have a double homicide on our hands.

The bell rings and the two of them fly towards one another throwing wild rights and lefts. Neither one getting an early advantage. Loco swings with a wild right and Laura ducks it and nails an inside leg kick that buckles Loco. She follows that up with another inside leg kick. Snaps a boot to Loco’s gut, doubling him over. She then grabs him in a front facelock. She leaps and spins, nailing him with a jumping tornado DDT.

Alan Ducard: Laura is on fire!

She is back up. Runs and bounces off the ropes and drives a baseball slide dropkick into the ribs, nearly sending Loco out of the ring. She gets up, bounces off the ropes and delivers a second, which successfully sends Loco crashing to the mat, outside. Laura jumps to the top rope, and perches... waiting for Loco to get to his feet.

Bryan Harris: Look out Loco!

As Loco gets up, she launches nailing a high cross body. Crashing to the mat. The crowd roars and starts up a “SE-TON” chant. Laura gets up and pumps her fist, letting out an animalistic yell. She then mounts Loco and begins pounding away with blind fury. Rage filled rights and lefts as the referee continues his 10 count.

5....

6....

Laura looks up and sees the count. She drags Loco up to his feet, and sets him for a side russian leg sweep into the barricade. She launches him back into the barricade. Loco, down in a heap. Laura gets up, holding her lower back as it took some of the impact, too. She quickly rolls into the ring to break the count. Loco slowly gets up, disoriented. Laura gets a gleam in her eye. And as soon as Loco has gotten a wobbly vertical base, she bounces off the far ropes and does nails Loco with a suicide dive through the ropes.

Alan Ducard: Oh MY! The lady is pulling out every stop. She is really taking it to Martinez.

Bryan Harris: Well I don’t think its FAIR that she’s not letting him in the ring.

Jimmy Yates: Now you’re someone who is about fair play, Bry?

Laura drops a couple quick boots to Loco’s forehead. She then reaches down drags a wobbily Loco to his feet. She goes to his side and lifts him up and drops him back on the protective mat with a side suplex.

Jimmy Yates: A display of power, from Laura!

Laura jumps up after the move and in a rush of adrenaline pounds her chest.

Alan Ducard: The Olympian has been down right dominating in this match!

Laura drags Loco to his feet and rolls him into the ring, and jumps up to the apron. She then slingshots herself over the top rope with a leg drop. She then makes a cover and hooks a leg.

One....

Two...

Th-NO. Loco powers out. Laura is back up, and brings Loco with her. She whips him into the corner with all her might. She goes to follow him in with a shoulder to the midsection, but Loco moves out of the way, Laura flies through the middle of the turnbuckles and crashes shoulder first into ring post. Loco takes a few moments to collect himself, and pulls Laura back inside the ropes and stands her up in the corner. He nails her with a knife edged chop. Winds up and drives a straight right into her forehead. Another knife edged chop. One more straight right.

Bryan Harris: Loco’s going all “Ike Turner” on her.

Jimmy Yates: That is so distasteful.

Loco drives a series of boots to Laura’s midsection, which doubles her over and then grabs her by the back of the head and snap mares her down to the ground, violently. Loco gets up quickly and smirks at her left wrist and stomps down venomously. Laura shrieks and grabs the wrist rolling in pain. Loco, smelling blood again nails the bum left wrist.

Alan Ducard: Say what you will about the man, he is a keen student of the game. It took all of a few moments for him to focus on that injured wrist.

Bryan Harris: Keen Student? Don’t undersell the man, Al!

Jimmy Yates: Good god, could your mancrush get any more middle school? You want me to go ask Loco if he “like-LIKES” you?

Bryan Harris: Cram it, Yates.

Loco grabs Laura by that left wrist and goes to drag her to her feet, but she quickly snaps him in with an inside cradle.

ONE...

TWO....

THRE-NO!!!

Alan Ducard: Less than ONE second away from Laura pinning Loco.

Loco looks irate as both competitors get back to their feet. Laura charges and Loco drops her with a drop toe hold.

Bryan Harris: DROP TOE HOLD! DROP TOE HOLD! DROP TOE HOLD!

Jimmy Yates: Stop.

Loco quick transitions and grabs Laura’s left arm and begins to twist it behind her back. She lets out a vicious howl.

Alan Ducard: Loco almost utilizing a kimura, there.

Loco wrenches hard, and shrieks “ASK HER” to the referee, who checks on Laura who shakes her head “NO”. The crowd begins a “LETS GO LAURA” Chant. Laura begins squirming her way towards the ropes. The crowd begins raising to their feet, clapping, stomping and causing a huge ruckus.

Jimmy Yates: Damn! Listen to this place!

Laura continues to make her way to the ropes as the crowd continues to grow to a fever pitch. She reaches her right leg out and it just barely misses the rope. The crowd lets out a gasp. She twists just a bit more and is able to get her right foot across the rope. The crowd roars. The referee begins his 5 count... and Loco is taking his sweet sweet time. The referee gets to 3. The crowd Boos, and Loco looks at the ref and yells “I’ve GOT TO FIVE!!”

Bryan Harris: HA-HA! Shades of the late, great Bryan Danielson!

Alan Ducard: *sighs* Mate... once again... He is still among us

Loco finally relinquishes the hold, but as soon as he’s up he stomps down on wrist/arm.

Bryan Harris: Really?

Jimmy Yates: Yes. In fact he’s still competing regularly.

Bryan Harris: Bryan Danielson? AmDrag?

Loco drops a knee across the arm. He then steps out onto the apron, and grabs Laura by the ankle and drags her out violently. She crashes to the mat on the outside of the ring with a thud. The crowd incensed by this. Loco grabs Laura and drags her to her feet by her pony tail. He then bends that left arm behind her back and scoops her up and body slams her with the left arm locked in the hammerlock behind her.

Bryan Harris: Seriously. He’s still wrestling?

Jimmy Yates: YES. For the love of god. He calls himself Daniel Bryan, now. Can we call the damn match?

Bryan Harris: Daniel Bryan... oh... well... then I was right!

Loco continues on the assault with a few stomps. He then rolls into the ring and right back out to break the count. He sneers at Laura, and looks from her to the ring post.

Alan Ducard: I don’t like that look, gents.

Loco with another series of stomps, grabs both of Laura’s legs, just above the knees, so she is nearly standing on her head. Loco turns so his back is lined up with the ring post. He then launches back and catapults Laura head first into the ring post. She hits with a sickening “Thwack”. Loco smirks at his handiwork as Laura just lays there in a heap. As we get a closer look we see a crimson puddle forming under her forehead.

Jimmy Yates: Again?! Its bad enough he seems to relish the fact that he’s beating on a woman. And... I KNOW she signed on for this... but THIS is too much!

Loco toys with Laura and nudges her with his boot. He rolls her over and we see that the left side of her face is covered with blood. The crowd gasps at this shot. Loco actually looks and chuckles evilly. He gives another cocky nudge. He then stands over her and extends his arms basking in his handiwork as the crowd boos him mercilessly.

Alan Ducard: Such a cocky display.

As if on cue with the 3rd word in Ducard’s sentence, Laura delivers a straight right hand up into Loco Martinez’s, as Loco would say, “crotchel region”. The crowd absolutely loves it, as Loco’s eyes go wide and he crumbles to the floor holding his manhood.

Bryan Harris: Laura, NO! Maddie uses that!

Laura slowly gets up wiping the blood from her eyes, and buries her shin into Loco’s ribcage three quick times before sliding into the ring. Loco gets up still clutching at his junk, and he drags himself onto the apron. Laura drives a shoulder into his midsection, doubling him over, he grabs the middle ropes, his head popping through. Laura grabs him in a front face lock and drags him over the middle rope. Loco’s leg balancing on the middle rope.... using all her strength she holds Loco extended and drives him down with a hanging leg DDT.

Bryan Harris: Shades of the Late Great Randy Orton.

Jimmy Yates: You can NOT possibly think Randy Orton is dead.

Laura rolls Loco over and grabs both his leg and flips on top of him with a jackknife cover.

One...

Two... Loco bridges up with Laura. He twists, and adjusts his arms, and backslides Laura.

One...

Two...

Th-NO! Laura kicks out. The two get up. Loco with a right. Laura answers with a left. Loco with a right. Laura with a chop. Loco grabs Laura and whips her hard into the corner. He follows up quickly with a head snapping clothesline. He then lifts her up so she’s sitting on the top turnbuckle. He then climbs up.

Alan Ducard: Loco, possibly looking to put Laura away with some high risk, high impact offense.

Loco brings Laura up so they’re both standing on the top rope/turnbuckle.

Jimmy Yates: This could be dangerous.

Loco grabs Laura in a front facelock looking for a superplex, but she buries an elbow in his ribs, and when Loco loosens the grip she steps to the side and slides over his back and nails a sunset flip bomb off the top rope.

Alan Ducard: OH GOD!

Jimmy Yates: AMAZING!

Loco is a crumpled heap as the crowd roars its approval. Laura takes a few moments to crawl over to cover Loco.

One...

Two...

Three-NO!!! Loco shoulders out. Laura shoots a glare the ref’s direction, but maintains her composure. Laura brings Loco to his feet. Drives a knee into the midsection of Loco, doubling him over, and then grabs him in a full nelson.

Alan Ducard: Laura looking for some Perfection!

Loco squirms, and brings both of his arms down, defensively, loosening the hold. He gets his left arm free and connects with a nasty elbow. Laura staggers away. Loco grabs her by the pony tail and pulls her in with it, and drives his leg up with his infamous superkick.

Bryan Harris: LOCAPITATOR! LOCAPITATOR! LOCAPITATOR!

He nails it full force and Laura is rocked back to the mat. Loco takes a second to smile huge at his handiwork. He then makes the over and hooks the leg.

One...

Two...

THREE-NONONO!!!!

Bryan Harris: What the Fu-

Alan Ducard: BRYAN!

Laura shoulders out. Loco stares in total disbelief. The crowd is unhinged! Loco looks at the referee and almost begs him that it was a three count. The referee shakes his head “no” and holds up 2 fingers. Loco pounds the mat. He gets up and grabs Laura. He whips her hard into the corner. Loco charges in after, and eats two boots. He staggers back. Laura jumps to the middle rope and leaps nailing a nice missile drop kick. She makes a quick cover.

One...

two....

Thr-Loco shoulders out. Laura is up, and again wipes the blood from her eyes.

Alan Ducard: I worry about the amount of blood Seton has lost.

Bryan Harris: Don’t sweat it, Al. Broads are used to bleeding regularly!

Jimmy Yates: You’re hopeless.

Laura begins stalking Loco. Yelling for him to get up. As soon as he staggers to his feet she again locks in the full nelson. Loco’s eyes go wide with panic and he quickly runs towards a corner. He drops when he gets to the turnbuckles hoping to send Laura into them, but she senses this and lets go. Letting Loco drop himself down to the middle turnbuckle. She takes a step back and nails a drop kick, sending Loco’s head bouncing into middle turnbuckle. Laura then grabs the stunned Loco into another full nelson. She then walks up to the middle rope and pushes with all her might driving Loco down with some Perfection.

Jimmy Yates: Perfection!

The crowd already on their feet roars as Laura quickly rolls Loco over and makes a cover. The crowd counting with the referee.

ONE...

TWO...

THREE!!!!!

Jimmy Yates: SHE DID IT! SHE DID IT!

The crowd loses it. Josephina Colbert comes on.

Josephina Colbert: The winner of the match... NUMBER 15!!!! …. LAURA... SSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEETTTOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN!!!!!

The crowd roars as the referee raises Laura’s hand in victory. Laura beaming ear to ear. She rolls out of the ring and takes a lap around the ring high fiving fans.

Alan Ducard: That young woman is enjoying this moment... and she DAMN sure earned this!

Loco slowly gets up and looks ringside seeing the celebration going on and shakes his head, and then just steps through the ropes and heads to the back with Laura celebrating with her fans. Last thing we see from the ring side celebration is Laura taking off her thin hair band and shoots it into the crowd.

First Look Back

We head back to the announcing table where Jimmy Yates is all smiles, Bryan Harris looks frustrated and Alan Ducard is all business.

Alan Ducard: Back on Friday night, as something of an appetizer for the good fans here in Atlanta, LEGACY produced a card with three matches on it, and one of them being a match in the tag team division.

Jimmy Yates: With a four-way ladder match setup tonight to determine the World Tag Team Championships, there's a good chance that one of the teams in that match isn't going to come through very well for the wear, possibly more than one team, maybe even all of the teams, so El Chupacabra and the International Incident had a good opportunity on this weekend's pre-show to take a step in setting themselves up as potential future contenders.

Bryan Harris: Well we don't got time to show you all the video tonight, so you'll have to go to the official LEGACY website to look for the footage of that match, but it was no surprise to me what transpired.

Alan Ducard: Former LEGACY World Tag Team Champions, the el Chupacabra were able to defeat Allen Franks and Mostafa Bashir to get themselves back into the title hunt.

Bryan Harris: First of all, "el" means "the", so you're redundant, Al, and secondly, you're darn right that Diego and Hector won that match. There really wasn't any other option for what was going to happen. Now they might not be the great team they used to be, prior to Hector getting injured at the hands of V.I.P., but they're still way better than the likes of those two jabrones they were faced with this weekend.

Jimmy Yates: Although I think Allen Franks and Mostafa Bashir could surprise you, I will agree with you, Bryan, that el Chupacabra is one of the more storied teams in LEGACY's history, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them climb back up the ranks.

Mirage vs
Cronos Diamante

Alan Ducard: Ladies and Gentlemen, our opening match for Destined for Greatness promises to be one of the most heated matches of the evening. If anyone has been paying attention over the past couple months, Cronos Diamante has been relentless in his assaults on former friend and tag team partner, Mirage.

Jimmy Yates: You can say that again, Alan. But the last few weeks, Mirage has managed to gain some momentum against Cronos. It started with a kick to Cronos’ knee that took him down quickly after he saved his former partner Lucien Gray. And followed up by a school boy pin that gained Mirage a win for his team last Strife. I have to question the integrity of Cronos’ knee and I don’t believe it’s one-hundred percent. Regardless of Cronos’ physical status, I’m with Alan on this. It’s going to be a good ole’ fashioned knock-down, drag out fight.

Bryan Harris: Cronos’ knee is just fine. He’s a world class athlete and he’s been doing this a long time, probably longer than anybody else in Legacy. Being a fan of a man like Cronos, I know he’s focused on one thing and one thing only tonight and that’s getting a win over Mirage. I wager he’s so focused on beating Mirage that he’ll kill himself doing it if necessary. He’s been waiting a long time for this and nothing and no one will stop him from accomplishing his goal.

Alan Ducard: That may be true, Bryan. In any event, Cronos Diamante vs. Mirage is coming up in a short few minutes. Predictions?

Bryan Harris: Do you have to ask?

Jimmy Yates: I think Mirage has a lot more to fight for than just a win. His family was terrorized. He’s winning the fans over. He has something to prove. Cronos doesn’t. I’m going with Mirage.

Alan Ducard: And I’m going to have to agree with Jimmy. Cronos wants to beat Mirage but I believe, like Jimmy, that Mirage is fighting for something more than a win.

Bryan Harris: Pfft. Cronos wins. Period. Just because he doesn’t have what you guys think is worth fighting for doesn’t mean he’s not fighting for something. You’ll see. And here comes the Devil himself.

“You’re Going Down” by Sick Puppies booms over the Public Address system and Cronos saunters out from the entrance-way with a smug grin plastered to his face. He stops just short of the raised walk way and looks out at the crowd, raising his hands in the air, slightly running in place as if “he’s the champion.” Heavy boos rain down upon Cronos and his grin grows bigger and bigger. He takes a deep breath, soaking up all the negative energy and lets out a pumped up “Mirage is going down!”

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and Gentlemen, now making his way to the ring, standing 6’3” and weighing in at 290 pounds, hailing from The Bronx, New York City, New York… CRONOS DIAMAAAAAAAAAANTE!

Alan Ducard: In all my time announcing for Legacy, I haven’t seen many wrestlers that can get on the crowd’s nerves like Cronos can. He has this subtle way of getting under their skin and bringing out the worse in them.

Bryan Harris: That’s because he’s a genius! Look at what he’s done to Mirage. It doesn’t just bring pain to him but it makes that crowd hate him that much more.

Cronos jumps up and down inside the ring and stretches out as he approaches Josephina Colbert. He dips down and whispers briefly into her ear. She pulls away, looking at him incredulously as she moves to the middle of the ring.

Josephina Colbert: Correction Ladies and Gentlemen, weighing in at 293 pounds.

Bryan Harris: He made Josephina accurately cover the weight he put on for this match. That’s classic!

Cronos whispers something to her, barely audible, “more oomph.”

Mirage: Leave the woman alone, Cronos.

“Resurrection” by Fear Factory hits the Public Address system and a chorus of cheers floods the entire arena. Cronos rolls his eyes in the ring as a determined Mirage walks out from the back with a microphone in his hand. He stands there with a small smile on his face at the cheers and lets the crowd continue for a few more moments until he raises his hands to quiet them.

Mirage: You know Cronos, we’ve been fighting tooth and nail way too hard to let this match be anything but what it is.

Bryan Harris: What is he talking about?

Alan Ducard: I have a good idea about what Mirage is doing but let’s wait and see what he says, Bry.

The anticipation builds and builds as Mirage stays silent for a moment, staring Cronos down, fire in his eyes.

Mirage: This match tonight is now a No Limits match. Everything goes, no holds barred grudge match. When I’m done with you, what friends you have won’t recognize who you are, Cronos.

Cronos grins and makes the “bring it” motion with his hands.

Josephina Colbert: Now making his way to the ring, weighing in at…

Alan Ducard: Oh no. Get out of there Josephina!

Mirage makes a dash for the ring.

Josephina Colbert: MIRAGE!

Mirage uncharacteristically climbs up one rope and springboards himself into the ring, lands on his feet, and spears Cronos Diamante down to the mat. He mounts Cronos and begins laying into him right hand after right hand. The crowd cheers Mirage on, the cheers getting louder with every punch.

Jimmy Yates: And we’re underway. For a man who prides himself on expecting the unexpected, Cronos surely didn’t anticipate being brought down by Mirage like that.

Bryan Harris: Lucky shot.

Mirage drags Cronos to his feet and whips him into the ropes so hard he falls to one knee. With Cronos returning from the ring with such velocity, Mirage quickly pushes off the mat slightly, moves to his left and latches onto Cronos’ bad right knee, knee-tackling him to the ground. Mirage climbs into position and applies an elevated inverted knee bar so hard Cronos’ face is forced into the mat.

Jimmy Yates: Cronos is in a lot of pain right now and the match has barely begun. I don’t think that knee is going to hold up.

Alan Ducard: I find myself disagreeing with you. The velocity at which he was taken down by that knee-tackle has more to do with the pain than his knee’s integrity does.

Cronos grits his teeth and pushes himself off the mat using the near seventy pounds he has on Mirage to roll himself right out of the move. Cronos and Mirage are both back up to the mat at the same time and circling around, jaw jacking at each other. Mirage points to Cronos’ knee and expecting an attack there, Cronos plants himself firmly, only to be surprised with Mirage locking it up and quickly pulling Cronos down into a side headlock.

Cronos backs Mirage into the ring ropes and launches Mirage toward the other side of the ring. As Mirage is returning toward Cronos, he sees a clothesline coming his way and begins to duck but Cronos expecting this, jumps from the mat and brutally smashes his shin into Mirage’s chin, sending Mirage stumbling sideways into the ring ropes. Mirage manages to latch onto the ropes to prevent him from falling to the mat or outside the ring. Mirage pulls himself to a standing position but Cronos runs straight for him and launches himself off the ground, connecting with a rare butterfly kick that sends Mirage flying from the ring.

Alan Ducard: What the heck was that? I’ve never seen something like that out of Cronos!

Jimmy Yates: Old man has hops.

Bryan Harris: He said he was bringing something new to the ring just for Mirage.

Alan Ducard: One can only wonder what else he has in store for his former friend and tag partner.

Mirage rolls to his feet, looking up at Cronos with a bit of surprise and motions “bring it.” Cronos slides out of the ring and engages Mirage. Mirage and Cronos throw right hand after right hand at each other, both men refusing to lose any ground. But its Mirage first to lose the battle as Cronos lightly kicks Mirage’s shin which causes him to take a right hand with a little bit more force than the others. Cronos relentlessly attacks Mirage until he’s down to one knee. At which point, Cronos begins hammering down on his back with both hands locked. Mirage tries to stand up but is quickly knocked down.

Alan Ducard: I don’t know how Mirage can keep trying to get up from those brutal shots. He’s showing a lot of heart right now.

Cronos picks Mirage up and whips him toward the steel steps but Mirage telegraphs it and Cronos is sent shoulder first into them, steps flying back toward the announcer’s booth.

Jimmy Yates: Mirage and Cronos are both down. Cronos’ shoulder ate the full brunt of that thankfully. If he had taken any of that on the mouth, he would be in a world of trouble.

Bryan Harris: But he didn’t! And Mirage is still down from the beating he just took. Perfect!

Alan Ducard: Someone is going to be either seriously injured or dead at the end of this match. There’s no rule against changing a matches ruling if both competitors agree but I’m beginning to think Mirage made a mistake.

Cronos stirs and rolls into a seated position, looking at Mirage. Mirage begins to stir and both men are standing together. Cronos rushes in at Mirage going to lock it up, but he’s slammed down head first into the mat and rolled into the ring. Mirage quickly follows and finds himself eating a boot to the stomach as he enters the ring. Cronos locks in a side head lock and tries to bring Mirage down to one knee, but he’s disappointed when he finds himself in the air and dropped on his back near the center of the ring.

Mirage crawls with cat-like quickness to Cronos and fights Cronos to lock in a sleeper hold. Cronos’ hand is held up under Mirage’s elbow preventing him from locking it in. Mirage knees Cronos in the kidney not once, not twice, but three times and the strength in Cronos’ arm begins to falter. Mirage sensing this quickly shifts his arms around, moving his right arm back and away and moving his left arm under Cronos’ jaw. Before Cronos has time to react, Mirage has his right arm moved into place to lock it in tightly.

Alan Ducard: Wow. That was a struggle for Mirage to lock in a sleeper hold. He’s a very versatile competitor. That was interesting to watch.

Jimmy Yates: You have to give it to them. They’re fighting each other tooth and nail like we expected. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone have to switch from their right to their left arm to lock in a sleeper hold. That just goes to show Mirage can adapt very well against Cronos.

Cronos begins to falter and the referee checks in on him but that seemed to wake Cronos up and he yells a very definitive “NO!” Cronos begins fighting the move a bit more and tries to shift his body to the right but Mirage locks it in even tighter, Cronos’ face turning red. Mirage takes Cronos down to the mat and Cronos reaches out for the rope and lays his hand on it expecting the hold to be broken. Mirage just tightens his grip, knowing the placement of his opponent didn’t matter with the rule change. Diamante kicks his leg on the mat in defiance, realizing the rules didn’t apply.

Bryan Harris: No way is this going to beat Cronos. A simple sleeper hold? Come on!

Jimmy Yates: I don’t know, Mirage really has that locked in tight and he’s not going anywhere.

Cronos grips the bottom rope really tight and with all his strength manages to pull himself AND Mirage to the ropes. Cronos musters all the strength he has in him to push up with Mirage still on his back and then move forward, forcing Mirage’s neck to drop across the second rope. Mirage holds on tight as he’s being choked himself, refusing to let go but Cronos pushes forward and spills to the outside and onto his back, grabbing at his throat and gasping for air, choking.

Alan Ducard: Amazing show of strength from Diamante but he’s still feeling the effects of that sleeper, trying to get as much air as he can.

Jimmy Yates: Speaking of air. Mirage might be flying!

Mirage has one foot planted on the second turnbuckle and looks down at Cronos rolling around on the outside. He soon decides against a high flying move’s risk and shakes his head. He waits in the ring for Cronos, not wanting to engage him on the outside again.

Alan Ducard: Smart move by Mirage. Slow the match down. Move the momentum of the match in his favor.

Jimmy Yates: Exactly. He can’t afford to keep at this fast pace Cronos is trying to force him into. So far Mirage has had the upper hand when the match has been slowed down.

Bryan Harris: He won’t for long. You both forget that Cronos is great with MMA and if he has to he’ll match Mirage move for move on the ground.

Cronos gets to his feet, still grasping at his throat and Mirage offers up a taunt that causes Cronos to just shake his head and reach for the top rope and pull himself up. Mirage takes off on a run to bounce Cronos to the outside but he ducks down and sends a shoulder into Mirage’s gut. Cronos then uses the ropes to catapult himself over the ropes, grabbing onto Mirage at his waste and forces him backward into a pin fall.

One…. Two…

Alan Ducard: Mirage kicks out. And we have our first pin fall of the evening.

Bryan Harris: Cronos has had his fun toying with Mirage and he’s going for the win now.

Jimmy Yates: I’ll agree he’s going for the win but not toying. It’s clear that Mirage has been honestly beating him.

Mirage rolls on his side and kicks at Cronos who feigns away and rolls back. Cronos using the ropes pulls himself to a standing position and stalks toward Mirage who is just getting to his feet. Cronos quickly overpowers Mirage and whips him into the turnbuckle so hard and with such hatred, Mirage falls face first into the mat.

Jimmy Yates: That had to hurt!

Mirage is grasping at his back clearly in pain and Cronos storms toward him. Rather than reach down to pick him up, Cronos kicks Mirage straight in the face. Mirage rolls over on his back holding his face and Cronos hovers above him grinning and cackling.

Alan Ducard: That was just sick and totally uncalled for.

Bryan Harris: Looked entertaining to me.

Jimmy Yates: You would!

Mirage uncovers his mouth and spits out a tooth right at Cronos. Cronos watches the tooth hit him and roll down his arm then turns his attention back to Mirage who has managed to pull himself back and lift his feet up. He kicks Cronos under his chin with both feet and Cronos is sent off his feet for a moment before he slams back to the mat.

Jimmy Yates: Timber! Big man falling!

Alan Ducard: Oh my God! Cronos was practically launched into the air with the force behind that kick!

Bryan Harris: You’re exaggerating. He didn’t leave the ground but maybe a foot and I’m sure it looks a lot worse than it is.

As if on cue, Cronos gets to his feet grabbing at his jaw but before he can go anywhere, he is met with a launched right hand from Mirage. Cronos is rocked back and back and back after every vengeful right hand from Mirage. Cronos runs out of room when he’s knocked back into the turnbuckle. Mirage climbs the turnbuckle then begins pounding his fist into Cronos’ face and the crowd begins to count.

One!

Two!

Three!

Alan Ducard: I don’t think he’s going to stop at 10.

Four!

Five!

Six!

Seven!

Bryan Harris: If he even gets to. Cronos ought to shove him off by eight.

Eight!

Nine!

Mirage reels back even further and hits Cronos even harder on the tenth time and Cronos slides down the turnbuckle into a seated position.

Ten!

Jimmy Yates: I guess he has to stop at ten now.

Mirage jumps off the turnbuckle and picks Cronos up. He backs him up into the turnbuckle and whips Cronos to the other side. Mirage runs after him and jumps into the air going for a jumping back elbow but Cronos catches him instead and executes a rolling belly to back suplex. Instead of following him to the ground; however, Cronos lets him go mid air and Mirage falls down on the ropes neck first and smacks down against the mat hard. Cronos runs forward and stomps on Mirage’s chest.

Jimmy Yates: I felt that stomp from here. That had to hurt.

Bryan Harris: He’s not gonna stoooop!

Cronos stomps on Mirage’s chest again and again and again. He stomps one last time and pushes down hard, forcing the air out of Mirage’s lungs. Mirage struggles to lift the boot off his chest and soon realizes his futile attempt. Mirage instead punches the side of Cronos’ knee and Cronos moves his foot back wincing in pain. Mirage escapes to the outside but Cronos follows immediately.

Bryan Harris: Cronos isn’t going to let him get away that easily.

Cronos grabs Mirage by the head, turns around, and sends him flying into the announcers table. Cronos gets to the table and nods at Bryan Harris then he lifts Mirage up into a suplex, holding him in the air.

Alan Ducard: Cronos don’t! Don’t suplex him onto the…

Cronos simply drops Mirage midair and he lands awkwardly on his neck. Cronos drags Mirage halfway off the announcers table to where his upper body is hanging off. Cronos turns and grabs the chair Josephina Colbert was sitting on before the outside action started and folds it up. In a split second, Cronos smacks Mirage dead across the face and Mirage crumples to the ground. Cronos then sets the chair up where the steel steps used to be.

Jimmy Yates: This can’t be good.

Bryan Harris: How is Mirage NOT bleeding? He should be bleeding from the attacks to his face.

Alan Ducard: Oh no. He’s going to do it again!

Cronos has lifted Mirage up into a hanging suplex again and just as he’s about to drop him, Mirage somehow finds the strength to wiggle out of it and wrap his arm around Cronos’ head on the way down and drops him onto the chair with an Inverted DDT that lays BOTH men out. Mirage is sent to the guardrail with all the momentum in his favor and smacks his back against it. Cronos is laid out next to the announcers table that amazingly hasn’t fallen apart.

LEGACY!

LEGACY!

LEGACY!

Alan Ducard: I said early on that somebody was going to get seriously injured or dead.

Bryan Harris: Yup. Mirage is dead. He’s not moving at all.

Jimmy Yates: Neither is Cronos, ding bat.

The referee moves to check on Mirage first. He begins to stir at the referee’s words. Cronos, on the other hand, appears to be knocked out.

Bryan Harris: Err… this might be bad.

Mirage pushes himself up to his feet and staggers toward Cronos. He shakes his head to remove the cobwebs and reaches down for Cronos. Mirage is met with a stiff punch to the gut as he does and Cronos is groggily pushing himself up as well. Cronos gets to his feet just as Mirage recovers from having the breath knocked out of him and both men, as if getting a second wind, begin battling it out good ole’ fashioned brawl style.

Cronos sends a right to Mirage and misses with a left. Mirage feigns to his right and jabs Cronos then follows it up with a right hand. Cronos takes a left inward step and the next right glances off his shoulder. Cronos lifts a knee into Mirage’s gut and misses an uppercut by a hair. Mirage doubling over wraps his arms around Cronos and picks him up onto his shoulders like a sack of potatoes and simply falls backward with the brunt of his weight landing on Cronos’ gut.

Alan Ducard: Cronos is gasping for air for a second time this match. The majority of Mirage’s weight landing on his gut knocked the wind out of him something fierce.

Jimmy Yates: I didn’t see that coming. I thought maybe running forward with him or slamming him forward but never falling back. That’s just a great move.

Mirage reaches down to pick Cronos up off his feet and goes to roll him in the ring but Cronos plants his legs and slams Mirage’s face into the ring apron. As Mirage stumbles back, Cronos grabs Mirage with both of his hands and head butts him square between the eyes. Mirage now disoriented receives a front kick to the chest that sends him into the guardrail.

Bryan Harris: Countdown to Extinction!

Cronos runs forward and clotheslines Mirage into the crowd.

Jimmy Yates: Or not.

Cronos stands in place for a moment, breathing heavily and looks out at Mirage being helped to his feet by fans. Cronos smirks and waits. When Mirage is back to his feet, Cronos sends a haymaker to his jaw but it’s blocked and a jab returned that rocks Cronos back. Cronos attempts another and it’s blocked with the same jab to follow. Cronos then throws another haymaker which is blocked but the jab misses as Cronos feigns to the left and brings an elbow to Mirage’s right temple that sends him staggering toward the aisle.

Alan Ducard: I really hope this doesn’t turn into them fighting in the crowd. One of those fans might get hurt.

Cronos jumps the guardrail and lifts Mirage to his feet then pushes him to the guardrail and flat slaps him in the face.

Jimmy Yates: Oh no! He shouldn’t have done that.

Bryan Harris: Classic! I love it.

Cronos looks at a fuming Mirage and motions for him to “bring it” then disappears into the locker room via side entrance. Mirage gives chase and finds himself ducking a steel chair. Cronos swings at him again and Mirage ducks down and runs straight at Cronos, lifting him up and slamming him through a refreshment table.

LEGACY!

LEGACY!

LEGACY!

Alan Ducard: I may not approve of this but the fans absolutely love it.

Jimmy Yates: Too bad we have to watch it on the tron.

Mirage rolls Cronos over and hooks the leg.

One… Two… Thr…

Alan Ducard: No! Cronos kicks out.

Mirage picks Cronos up and throws him into a wall further down the locker room area. Cronos stops himself and Mirage charges in but he ducks a clothesline and slams Mirage down with a spine buster on the bare cement. Cronos falls to the ground and covers.

One… Two… Thr…

Cronos just looks back at the ref, obviously upset with the count. Cronos gets to his feet and goes to pick Mirage up but he’s taken back down with a kick to the back of Cronos’ bad knee and down he goes. Mirage, like he’s done all night, moves into position from his knees and locks in an arm bar. Cronos yells out in pain and tries to fight the hold.

Jimmy Yates: I don’t think Mirage is wrenching back on that arm to get Cronos to tap. He’s trying to tear his arm off!

Bryan Harris: He’ll grow it back. He’s superhuman.

Alan Ducard: Ok now you’re just delusional. Shut up and call the match.

Cronos gets into a semi-standing position and wraps his unlocked arm around Mirage’s leg and tries to pick him up. The pain from his arm is preventing Cronos from doing that and just when Mirage thinks he’s got a leg up, Cronos simply pokes him in the eye. Mirage immediately releases the hold and Cronos stands up, walking down the hall gripping his arm.

Bryan Harris: Genius!

Jimmy Yates: Cheap!

Alan Ducard: Cheap or genius, it was effective. But it’s not stopping Mirage.

Mirage still has one perfectly good eye to use while he waits for his vision to come back and he picks up a steel chair next to him. As Cronos turns to face Mirage, he’s blasted in the arm with it. The impact from the chair sends Cronos toward the parking lot door. Mirage rears back with the chair again and connects one more time with the chair and Cronos goes flying into the parking lot door and empties out to the pavement on his back and rolling around in pain.

Jimmy Yates: I knew I shouldn’t have driven my own car to the show tonight. They’re going to mess someone’s car up and I hope it’s not mine.

Bryan Harris: That’s what you get!

Mirage picks Cronos up and goes to drop him with a DDT but Cronos pushes forward hard and shoves Mirage into the hard edge of a trash bin. Mirage falls forward in pain and Cronos stands there shaking the pain out of his arm. Cronos not wasting much time, picks Mirage up and grabs him by the back of the head leading him toward a car. His car.

Alan Ducard: Well that is Cronos’ car. At least he’ll mess his own car up and not anyone else’s.

Cronos with his good arm chokes Mirage against the hood of his car then picks him up and slams him down on the hood. Cronos steps up on the bumper and picks Mirage up then executes a snap suplex onto the top of the car. Cronos then throws Mirage off the car and covers.

One… Two… Thre…

Bryan Harris: How is he kicking out? Cronos nearly killed him!

Alan Ducard: I don’t know but he wants this bad. He’s all heart.

Jimmy Yates: More to fight for, Bry.

Cronos shakes his head in frustration and opens his car door. He sits in the driver seat with one leg in and one leg out and goes to turn the ignition.

Alan Ducard: Oh my God. He’s going to run him over.

Jimmy Yates: No he’s not. He can’t find his keys. And Mirage is getting up.

Cronos pounds his fist on the steering wheel and begins getting out of the car but Mirage having plans of his own takes off on a dead run and dives back first into the car door causing it to slam hard on Cronos’ bad leg. Cronos lets out a howl of pain and slumps out of the car gripping at his knee.

Alan Ducard: I don’t think the integrity of that knee is anywhere near good. He looks hurt.

Jimmy Yates: If it was one-hundred percent at the start of the match, it sure isn’t now.

Mirage moves toward Cronos and goes for the pin.

One… Two… Thre...

Bryan Harris: YES! Cronos kicks out!

Jimmy Yates: How!

Mirage frustrated now simply picks Cronos up and begins dragging him by his leg toward the door. Mirage places Cronos’ leg in the door and opens it wide. He slams the door shut hard, missing Cronos’ leg by a centimeter. Cronos is back on his feet and grabs Mirage by the head and smashes him hard into the door. Cronos then opens the door and throws Mirage back into the locker room and stalks forward, limping on his bad knee.

Alan Ducard: How Cronos isn’t on the floor not moving right now is beyond me. I know I would be.

Bryan Harris: You’re not a world class athlete like Cronos Diamante.

Cronos moves toward Mirage now wielding the same steel chair Mirage used on him not too long ago. Mirage rolls to the left, dodging the chair and kicks Cronos’ knee. Cronos goes down and Mirage starts to lock in a figure four leg lock but just as he’s about to lock it in, Cronos lifts leg away and kicks Mirage right in the butt sending him flying toward a Pepsi Machine that he smacks into head first.

Jimmy Yates: Neither one of these men refuse to give the other any ground. It doesn’t seem like this is ever going to end.

Bryan Harris: I wouldn’t say that. Mirage is bleeding!

Mirage rolls over and onto the broken refreshment table, blood now dripping from his head from a loose screw. Cronos stands up and moves toward Mirage and punches him in the throat. Mirage rolls around grabbing his throat and that leaves Cronos the perfect opportunity to roll Mirage onto his stomach and lock his hands in behind Mirage’s head and pull back hard with a camel clutch.

Bryan Harris: Ne-han! Ne-han! Ne-han! This is over. Mirage isn’t gonna make it.

The referee checks in on Mirage who defiantly says “no.” Cronos pulls back even harder as a result of that.

Jimmy Yates: I think he’s about to give it up. He can’t go anywhere. This is ov… no way!

Cronos pulled back harder but his leg buckled under the pressure and caused him to slip on the surface below him, sending him head first into the very same Pepsi Machine that cut Mirage open. Cronos rolled away and held below his right eye, a deep gash now there.

Alan Ducard: Both of them are bleeding now. This is just getting worse.

Jimmy Yates: Neither one of them is going to quit.

Mirage gets to his feet groggily and steps right past Cronos, heading for the ring, no longer wanting to be a part of backstage brawling. Cronos pushes himself up a few moments later and angrily runs back toward the ringside area where Mirage has reached the guardrail and football tackles Mirage over the guardrail, both men flying into the other steel steps. Mirage’s head hit flat on the steps but Cronos hit head first and slid into the ring post at the same time.

Jimmy Yates: I think Cronos is completely out. He hit the stairs AND the ring post and he isn’t moving.

Alan Ducard: Mirage isn’t moving all that much either but his eyes are open and he’s staring up at the ceiling.

Bryan Harris: I don’t think Mirage knows where he is to be perfectly honest.

After a few moments, Mirage gets to his feet and sees that Cronos isn’t moving. Rather than fall for another sneak attack, Mirage yanks at his bad leg and then picks him up the now groggy Cronos. Mirage hooks him for an inverted DDT and swiftly lifts him up then falls backward with a falling neckbreaker.

Alan Ducard: That’s the Mourning Starr. Mirage’s finishing move. He’s going to win this right here and now.

Mirage moves to cover.

One…

Two…

Three…

Bryan Harris: No! The referee says he kicked out at the last millisecond. Cronos isn’t going down that easy!

Jimmy Yates: How is he not dead? What does it take to put down this vile prick?

Mirage stands up and argues with the referee for a second about the count but the referee explains that he saw Cronos lift up just in time. Mirage not happy about it turns away and rolls Cronos into the ring. Mirage climbs in after him and picks him up. Not accounting for the time wasted arguing with the referee, Mirage is pushed away and into the ropes. Cronos kicks Mirage in the thigh with his right leg then his right kidney with his left leg…

Bryan Harris: Countdown to Extinction.

…a brutal kick to the shoulder area with his left leg that has Mirage forcefully moved into the turnbuckle. Cronos follows it up with a kick straight to Mirage’s heart with his right foot that knocks him back and forward but Cronos puts an arm out and pushes him back into the corner.

Bryan Harris: Here comes the knock out!

Cronos plants his hands on the ropes and jumps up wrapping both legs around Mirage’s neck, choking him as he flips Mirage back to the mat flat on his back. The weight of Cronos’ leg falling flat over Mirage’s neck.

Bryan Harris: What the… that’s not the Countdown to Extinction!

Jimmy Yates: You said he has some new things. I think you just saw one.

Alan Ducard: If he doesn’t relinquish that hold he’s going to kill Mirage.

Mirage begins firing punches at every spot on Cronos’ bad knee but Cronos refuses to let it hinder him. Finally Mirage resorts to some old tactics and punches Cronos in the groin. Cronos rolls away holding his groin and Mirage rolls away trying to catch his breath. Both men are down for a good while but Mirage is up first. Mirage moves to Cronos and pulls him to the middle of the ring. He motions that he’s going up to the top rope.

Jimmy Yates: Only one thing can be going on from here. His second finishing move is about to be used on Cronos and it’s probably going to finish him off.

Alan Ducard: Death from Above is the name. And I’m betting the same thing, Jimmy.

Mirage ascends the turnbuckles and stands up, studying himself then jumps off head first for Cronos’ groin and finds nobody home. Cronos rolled backward just in time.

Bryan Harris: He missed!

Cronos crouched down as if on “prowl” waits for Mirage to get back to his feet and when he does Cronos runs forward and buries his knee into Mirage’s gut. He then reaches around and applies a standing Guillotine Choke. Mirage fights it as hard as he can, kicking at Cronos’ legs but he lifts each one of them every time. Cronos then decides to take it to the ground. Instead of doing it the old fashioned way, Cronos jumps up and wraps his legs around Mirage and forces him to the ground with him resulting in Mirage’s head bouncing off the mat like a DDT but not nearly as forceful due to the cushion from Diamante’s hold.

Cronos’ mistake of falling with Mirage allows him to move back into a seated position above Cronos and begin firing fists at Cronos, punching him on the gash under his right eye. After repeated punches, the gash is growing bigger and bigger and blood is dripping everywhere. Mirage then picks Cronos up and hooks his leg for a pinning capture suplex.

One… Two… Thre…

Alan Ducard: Cronos kicks out again!

Jimmy Yates: No way. And Mirage can’t believe it.

Mirage rolls away and picks Cronos back up again and he’s met with a stiff kick to the temple from Cronos that sends him stumbling backward into the ropes and almost to the ground. Cronos moves to the left and sends another kick to Mirage’s temple that sends him to the ground. He goes for the cover.

One… Two… Thre…

Bryan Harris: How the heck do you survive two of the final kicks from the Countdown to Extinction?

Cronos pounds the mat in disapproval. Suddenly, he grabs the back of Mirage’s head and begins pounding it into the mat over and over again until he’s finally eye raked by Mirage. Cronos gets to his feet turning toward the ropes and Mirage follows in after him. Mirage elbows him on that gash again and blood squirts out of the ring landing on the guardrail a few feet from the fans.

Bryan Harris: Disgusting.

Mirage is done playing games. He grasps a sweaty, blood streaked arm of Cronos and flings him mercilessly into the ropes, sending him flying across the ring.

Alan Ducard: No! Cronos reversed it.

With the Irish Whip reversed, Mirage comes flying back with a clothesline attempt on Cronos. Cronos ducks and when Mirage comes back, he hooks under him, lifts him up into a torture rack and without even a moment’s hesitation, drops him on his head with a DVD.

Bryan Harris: Lucifer’s Hammer!

One…

Two…

Three…

The bell sounds and “You’re Going Down” by Sick Puppies blares throughout the arena, Cronos moving to his feet as his music plays.

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner by way of pin fall, CRONOS DIAMAAAAAAAANTE!

Bryan Harris: I told you he wouldn’t lose!

Alan Ducard: He terrorizes Mirage’s family then he terrorizes Mirage himself and now… now he beats him on our biggest show of the year. These are dark days in Legacy, indeed.

The crowd rains down a chorus of boos upon Cronos as he circles around the ring, arms upraised in victory. He blows kisses to the crowd, bowing mockingly, and elicits even louder cries of rage from the stands. Cronos takes one last look at an unconscious Mirage, spits on him as he exits the ring, and disappears into the locker room.

Jimmy Yates: Completely disrespectful.

Bryan Harris: Saying goodbye.

Network Battle Look Back

We head back to the announcing table where Jimmy Yates is the one who looks disgusted this time and Bryan Harris is in a good mood.

Alan Ducard: One of the matches from Friday night's pre-show event had a championship on the line, as the F/X Network title was on the line in one of LEGACY's famous Show Me Something Showcase Battle Royal matches.

Jimmy Yates: In the weeks leading up to the Destined For Greatness event, the LEGACY front office contacted all of the members of the LEGACY roster and LEGACY International roster notifying them that people would be given chances to step up, but that if people didn't step up, they would no longer be allowed to remain employed, even on a per appearance basis, if they were just going to attempt to live on their name alone. Effort is the name of the game, and it appears that several competitors who were originally scheduled to compete in the Show Me Something Showcase Battle Royal decided not to show up.

Bryan Harris: And that's fine with me. A couple of those guys, whose names I won't mention, were just basically succubuses and haven't done a damn thing for LEGACY in months aside from just show up, get a pay check and leave. They were true talents, but without any effort, talent doesn't mean a damn thing!

Alan Ducard: Well there were still quite a few guys in that Battle Royal, and one woman in the case of Sunny Rayne, but in the end, it came down to just two individuals.

Jimmy Yates: Using his speed and agility to his advantage, current Network Champion Harrison Saunders defied the odds and made it down to the final two competitors, faced with likely his biggest challenge to date, the veteran, the former World Champion Rocky Stellar.

Bryan Harris: When Rocky Stellar wants something, he knows how to get it, even if he decides that the means by which he wants to get something leave him open to not only criticism, but also disqualification.

Alan Ducard: After Harrison Saunders avoided being pinned by The Stellar One on a couple occasions and locked in a few pinning combinations of his own, Rocky Stellar momentarily got the referee distracted by an individual in the front row whom Stellar claimed was throwing coins into the ring, taking the opportunity to kick Harrison Saunders full between the legs like a futboller or American place kicker, and from there the pinfall was academic.

Bryan Harris: Rocky Stellar is the new F/X Network Champion, and you can bet that the folks at F/X are thrilled with that!

Jimmy Yates: He's definitely a high profile competitor, but I can't think that they're going to be too pleased with HOW he won that belt.

Bryan Harris: Have you even seen the F/X Network? Those shows are grittier than hell, and I think Stellar fits in just fine!

The crowd whistles as Josephina Colbert gets into the ring. She smiles and acknowledges the reaction before she starts.

Josephina Colbert: Our next match is set for one fall and is being contested under No Limits rules...

The lights dim and as the original version of "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter begins to rumble in with its bassline, a blue horseshoe appears on the LEGACY Vision jumbotron, which spins to show it's 3D, and then sledge hammers begin hitting it. As his name appears on the LEGACY Vision, fading in over the horseshoe, John Thomas steps through the curtain. He's wearing a shiny silk blue robe, its hood down in the back.

Josephina Colbert: The first competitor, weighing in at 222 pounds and hailing from Poolesville, Maryland... He is The Durable One...JoooooOOOOHN THOMAAAAAAAAAS!!!!

A grin comes to his face as John stops at the edge of the entrance walkway and looks out over the crowd who are cheering him. He doesn't move, he just basks in the adulation.

Jimmy Yates: After all that time of being booed, it looks like John Thomas is finally realizing why it's a good thing to be cheered by the fans.

Bryan Harris: Yeah, well while he's getting his brain bashed in by Kenji Yamada, he might take a second to realize IT DOESN'T MATTER!!

Stretching his neck side to side, John bounces on the balls of his feet for a moment, then sprints to the ring, puts his hands on the top rope and hops over it, spinning around once his feet hit the mat. In the process of the spin, John takes off his robe and drapes it over Josephina Colbert's shoulder, giving her a kiss on the cheek before moving over to his corner and climbing the turnbuckle.

Alan Ducard: I don't believe that John Thomas and Josephina Colbert are dating, but one might think that John just stole a kiss for good luck.

Bryan Harris: If you have to steal it, is it REALLY good luck?

Jimmy Yates: If it gets John's mojo going, maybe it is!

Filter's song fades under, and with a somewhat worried look on her face, Josephina raises the microphone again.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing his opponent....

As “ALIVE” by girugamesh erupts throughout the arena and the fans immediately start roaring loudly in disapproval.

Josephina Colbert: Weighing in at 210 pounds and hailing from Kyoto, Japan…He is one half of Project: SCAR..... KENJIIII.... YAMAAAAAAAAAADA!

Kenji makes his way through the curtain, wearing a Project: SCAR signature shirt, the sleeves torn off of it. His eyes are wide and focused and are looking directly towards the ring. Methodically and at a steady pace, Yamada crosses the entrance walkway, his eyes never diverting from his opponent in the ring.

Alan Ducard: Certainly this business attracts a certain type of competitor, especially when it comes to No Limits matches, but even still, it often surprises me when a competitor can creep me out like Kenji Yamada is doing right now.

Jimmy Yates: Kenji is known to be a sick man, and with his sights set on John Thomas, this is going to be a long night for the boss' son.

Bryan Harris: When he got to LEGACY, it actually seemed like Yamada was going to be successful in his goal of becoming a changed man - a less violent version of his old self, but whatever the change... His alliance with Issac Entragian included... it's safe to say that the old Kenji is back... and I'm not sure if anyone's safe.

Alan Ducard: I have to think that the early portion of Kenji's tenure, where he found himself at odds with the maddening Stephen Rawlings, was likely a huge part of the reason his mindset has flipped back to the violent man we see before us.

After stepping through the ropes, Kenji begins pacing back and forth in the ring like a caged animal with a disgusting scowl on his face as he waits for the referee to signal the start of the contest. Then, as
if a switch was flicked in his head, Yamada changes his mind. Before the bell even sounds, Kenji begins laying into John Thomas with stiff haymakers and short kicks to the legs. John Thomas feels each deliberate shot to their fullest extent, wincing from the scary impact of Kenji’s striking power. Connecting a boot to JT’s calf, JT has no choice but to back away from Kenji, the look of anger in his face revealing the fact that he had no intention of backing away from Kenji in this fight, let alone at the very beginning.

Alan Ducard: Goodness gracious!!

Bryan Harris: Kenji looks to be poised for a maiming tonight.

Jimmy Yates: John Thomas isn’t one to back down from a fight, usually, so to see him concede to Kenji’s blindsiding onslaught is a bit surprising.

As soon as JT’s back touches the ropes, Leonard Nolan stands in between JT and Kenji, placing both hands on Kenji’s sternum to prevent him from striking JT. Realizing things were about to get out of hand pretty quickly, Nolan waves a free hand towards the timekeeper while pushing Kenji away from JT, signaling for the starting bell. Looking indignant that this LEGACY official had the audacity to put his hands on him, Kenji rears back in preparation for a nasty kick, but John Thomas seizes the opportunity and LAUNCHES himself at Kenji with a Lou Thesz press.

Alan Ducard: Bloody hell!!

Pummeling Kenji’s surprised face with lefts and rights and a few forearms here and there, John Thomas quickly dismounts his opposition, satisfied with the damage he just dished out. As Kenji gets to his feet, JT jumps high into the air and executes a BEAUTIFUL looking dropkick that catches Kenji right in the temple. Holding the right side of his head, Kenji falls forward to his knees. Having his bell rung, Kenji shakes his head, feeling disoriented from the awkward impact of the strategically placed dropkick. Before he has time to react, John Thomas is running into the ropes, looking to rebound with something nasty. Kenji gets to his feet, but before he can come up with a proper counter, John Thomas nails Kenji’s face with a flying back elbow to the face!

Bryan Harris: Damn! Bone meets cartilage… that had to hurt like hell.

Jimmy Yates: That was a gorgeous flying reverse elbow!

Stunning Kenji long enough to think forward at his next move, but not nearly long enough to even attempt a pin, JT measures Kenji up while he picks himself up off the mat. As soon as Kenji’s eyes meet his own, JT pivots a foot and in an upward thrusting motion, he shoots the bend in his elbow up into the cleft of Kenji’s jaw with a SMACKING European uppercut. Kenji’s head snaps backwards, and JT once again seizes an opportunity that has presented itself to him. Booting Kenji in the gut, JT hooks him up with a front chancery as he doubles over, and in one fluid motion he SNAPS Kenji’s head down into the canvas with a quick snapping DDT. Hoping to have damaged Kenji enough, JT hooks a leg. Nolan drops down for a count..

Bryan Harris: That was one freakin’ nasty DDT!!

One!

Kenji has NONE of this pin attempt and utilizes the power in his legs to forcefully kick out.

Alan Ducard: This match is far too early in the proceedings to attempt covers like that.

Jimmy Yates: Can’t blame JT for trying, though. When you have a man as dangerous and all in all vicious as Kenji Yamada flat on his back, you have to go for the pin. You HAVE to.

Surprising JT a little bit, Kenji quickly rolls from his back all the way up to his feet before JT even has the presence of mind to get to his. Spinning a full 360 degrees, Kenji connects with a spin-kick right in the middle of JT’s bread basket. Doubling him over, Kenji leans into the ropes nearest to him. Propelling himself forward, Kenji leap-rolls across JT’s back at a slight angle, hooking underneath John’s head with a reverse DDT, the momentum of Kenji's leap-roll across his opponent's back causing JT to SNAP back down to the canvas!

Alan Ducard: My God!!

Bryan Harris: Tiananmen Square-Drop!

Jimmy Yates: STOP.

Kenji hooks a leg, and JT looks out of it…

One!!

Two!!

Thr- NO!

Alan Ducard: Blimey, Kenji got more of that pin attempt than I imagined he would!

Jimmy Yates: yeah, he damn near won right there with that incredible move.

Bryan Harris: I told you, it’s called the Tiananmen Square-Drop.

Jimmy Yates: Ugh. WHY… because he’s Asian?

Bryan Harris: What?! He is?!

Jimmy Yates: You’re ridiculous. And for the record, Tiananmen Square is in China… and Kenji is Japanese.

Alan Ducard: This is the most I’ve heard Tiananmen Square referenced in a wrestling broadcast than I’ve ever thought possible!

Realizing he had John Thomas severely hurt with that innovative reverse DDT, Kenji brings JT to his feet… hops up onto John Thomas’ back, causing his opponent to unwillingly support their combined weight and quickly cinches in a mid-air dragon sleeper!

Jimmy Yates: DRAGON SLEEPER! This could be IT!!

John Thomas fights it. His arms flail in every which direction, as he blindly searches for the ropes to no avail. Screaming in pain, Kenji grits his teeth as he tightens his biceps muscle around JT’s levator scapula muscle, preventing him from turning his head in any direction.

Bryan Harris: Kenji with the Stir-Fry Sleeper Hold!!

Alan Ducard: As crazy and dangerous as Kenji may be, I don’t approve of your racial appellations, Mr. Harris.

Jimmy Yates: Just ignore him.

Soon enough, JT drops down to the canvas, ass first. Kenji cinches the move in even tighter, but out of nowhere, JT NAILS Kenji across the bridge of his nose with a lightning quick knee! Kenji’s grip loosens, but he maintains the hold nonetheless. Feeling less pressure around his neck, John Thomas springs to life once again and stands back to his feet. Just before Kenji can tighten the hold any further, JT reaches behind himself, grabbing the back of Kenji’s head. Pushing off the mat with every ounce of leg muscle he has, JT backflips behind Kenji, forcing Kenji to lose hold of John Thomas’ neck. IMMEDIATELY, John Thomas pulls Kenji’s arm behind him in a hammerlock with his left arm, and with his right arm he RIPS Kenji’s head to the right, ripping and tearing at virtually every neck muscle with a nasty looking chicken-wing crossface!

Jimmy Yates: HOLY SHIT!! WHAT A TURN OF EVENTS!!

Alan Ducard: Chicken Wing Crossface!! John’s trademark move!! He has it in DEEP!!

Bryan Harris: Kenji looks REALLY uncomfortable here. I’m not sure the word “submit” is in Kenji’s vocabulary… then again, I don’t think a lot of English words are!

Trying to pry JT’s fingers apart, Kenji squints in agony as John Thomas rips harder at Kenji’s neck, trying to get him to give up to the classically painful submission hold. John Thomas leaps from the mat, wrapping both of his legs around Kenji’s waist, looking to completely ground him with a grapevine. Kenji’s powerful legs refuse to go down though, as camera flashes light up the arena for this incredible “DFG Moment”.

Using great wherewithal, Kenji falls FORWARD, causing JT to spill awkwardly into the bottom rope, clipping his ear against the rough nylon. Holding his ear, John Thomas falls to the outside from the ring apron in complete agony.

Alan Ducard: That was an impressive display of understanding your surroundings, as Kenji had enough consciousness to realize an escape was possible by simply directing both of their body weight forward.

Jimmy Yates: Agreed. I think that rope may have ripped out a small speck of his earlobe on that rough landing! Jesus!!

Bryan Harris: Uh oh, what’s Yamada doing here?

Realizing John Thomas was in a prone position outside of the ring, Kenji runs to the opposite side of the ring into ropes. His momentum carrying him forward, Kenji runs full speed ahead, cart-wheeling first, and then flipping over into a handspring. In one beautiful motion, Kenji handsprings over the top rope, transitioning the acrobatic into an over the top rope corkscrew moonsault! The crowd IGNITES at this absolutely DEATH-DEFYING maneuver as both men lay on the outside mat for several moments.

Bryan Harris: OH MY GOD!!

Jimmy Yates: AIR YAMADA!!

Alan Ducard: While Kenji hasn’t done any daredevil high flying in a few years, I think Kenji Yamada just showed the world that he’s still got ability to do so on a whim!! INCREDIBLE!!

“KEN-JI! KEN-JI!”
“LEG-A-SEE! LEG-A-SEE!”
“LET’S-GO-JAY-TEE!”

With the crowd completely pumped and split in every which direction over the awesome maneuver they just witnessed, Kenji, miraculously, is the first to stir on the outside. A replay is shown on the LEGACY Jumbo Vision, slowing down the handspring corkscrew moonsault, showing the audience that Kenji’s boot caught John Thomas HARD across the same ear that caught the bottom rope moments before this act acrobatic act of awesomeness.

Jimmy Yates: You know, I shouldn’t be surprised by what Kenji just did here. He’s a former Sky High Cup winner over in the SHOOT Project.

Bryan Harris: I think it all comes down to the fact that, Kenji is always so violent and sadistic in his matches that it’s easy to forget that he’s capable of defying gravity every now and then.

Alan Ducard: Well said, Bryan. Finally, something well said out of your mouth in this match.

Jimmy Yates: Here here, Alan!

With John Thomas now gushing from his earlobe, Kenji Yamada gets to his feet, looking a little beat up from that rough landing. Staggering back into the barricade, Kenji seethes while he looks at John cupping his bloody ear - the sight of which looks sickly similar to a boxer or MMA fighter’s cauliflower ear bursting from a powerful punch, only in John’s case… there was nothing cauliflower about it. Bringing JT up to his knees by lifting underneath his chin, Kenji chops JT’s bare chest with an almost perverted repose in his eye. Clutching his chest with a criss-cross motion of his arms, JT exposes his bloodied ear for Kenji to grab HARSHLY. As JT yells out in agony, Kenji RIPS upwards on his ear, forcing JT to stand up from the outside mat. Blood oozing onto Kenji’s hand, Kenji releases John’s ear, spins 360 degrees, and CHOPS JT right in the gash of his earlobe. A smattering of blood flies from JT’s earlobe to the “Destined For Greatness IV” logo on the announce table.

Bryan Harris: Ugh… that’s DISGUSTING. Kenji got EAR BLOOD in my mochachino latte!!

Nolan is screaming at both competitors to get back into the ring, but is powerless in the No Limits environment to enforce any count outs. Looking up at Nolan, Kenji scoffs, and grabs the back of JT’s head, aiming for the steel post, Kenji runs full speed ahead into the post, but at the last minute, JT turns the momentum around in his favor and throws KENJI forehead first into the post, flattening him on the ground.

Jimmy Yates: Thomas used Kenji’s own momentum against him! Beautiful counter!

Taking a moment to regain his bearings, John Thomas shakes the cobwebs away and tries to wipe away some of the blood coming from his ear. Seeing Kenji hold his head while he lays flat on his back on the outside, JT quickly snaps back into reality. Seeing Kenji sprawled on the mat, JT decides to hop onto the ring apron.

Bryan Harris: This is NOT smart on John Thomas’ part. THIS is KENJI’s playground, and if he doesn’t take the fight back onto the ring canvas, he’s going to realize how dangerous Kenji Yamada actually is.

Jimmy Yates: I have to agree with you, Bry. No WAY does JT want ANY PART of Kenji near objects of an insane man’s desire.

Begging for Kenji to get up, JT leans his back against the ropes while he patiently waits for Yamada to stir. Once Kenji slowly starts to stand up, JT leaps forward with his legs spread, looking for either a diving seated senton or a hurricanrana. Unbeknownst to JT though, Kenji is ready for him. Once JT lands on Kenji’s shoulders, Kenji SNAPS JT down HARD against the outside mat with a sickening power bomb. The crowd groans from the impact as they watch the replay on the LEGACY Jumbo Vision screen in slow motion as the back of JT’s head smacks disturbingly hard against the outside mat.

Bryan Harris: GOD!!

Jimmy Yates: My God… he could have a concussion from that landing!

Alan Ducard: Concussions are serious business, James. Careers have been shortened, and some have even been stopped by them, so lets hope John Thomas doesn‘t have one of those, a’right mate?

Bringing JT up by the back of his sore head, Kenji delivers an unforgiving open palm chop right to his sternum. JT reels back, and it’s just enough room for Kenji to drive a vicious palm thrust right to JT’s Adam’s apple. As JT chokes and gags from the brutal shot he doubles over, slowly walking away from Kenji to recuperate from the nasty shot. This allows Kenji enough time to lift the ring skirt up and search underneath it for a weapon of his choosing. Few seconds later, Kenji withdraws an entire metal garbage can filled with weapons, garnering an uproarious cheer from the capacity crowd.

“FUCK HIM UP, KEN-JI, FUCK HIM UP!”
“LET’S GO, JAY-TEE!”

Emptying the trash can’s contents, the crowd oooh’s and aaah’s over some of the items that litter to the outside mat. Some of the items in question are a steel chair, a baseball bat, a crowbar, a croquet mallet with matching croquet balls, a stapler, a hole puncher, and last but not least, a janitor’s broom wrapped in barbed wire at its bristles with the initials “CT” inscribed in black marker on the handle.

Jimmy Yates: STOP.

Bryan Harris: Oh, OH… hole puncher!!

Like a kid in a candy store, Kenji takes a moment to look at the items. Settling on the steel chair, Kenji shrugs at the crowd and mouths into the camera, “for starters.”. Looking back at John Thomas, Kenji waits for JT to turn around and stand upright. Smacking the ground like a batter touching home plate before taking a swing, Kenji tightens his grip around the metal. Once JT turns around, Kenji swings… but misses! Kenji’s momentum spins himself around, and as he tries to shield his face with the stee chair, to protect himself from whatever JT is attempting, it actually does more harm than good as JT leaps up for a standing dropkick, smashing the cold steel into Kenji’s face.

With Kenji back down on the outside matting again, JT grabs the steel chair and rips it out of Kenji’s loose grip. Tossing it away, opting to not use the steel chair, JT guides Kenji back to his feet and rolls him in the ring, leaving his head precariously drape over the edge of the ring apron. Looking at the mess of weapons emptied onto the ground, JT picks up the metal trash itself and wastes no time SMASHING it into the side of Kenji’s head. The crowd applauds like the bloodthirsty carnivores they are, and JT throws away the trash can, nearly clipping Bryan Harris with it.

Bryan Harris: HEY! WATCH IT, BELOTE!!

With Kenji’s head still draped over the edge of the ring apron, JT has another idea. Looking at the pile of weapons once again, JT spots the crowbar. Smirking back at Kenji, JT picks up the crowbar. Menacingly smacking the cold steel into the cup of his palm, JT slowly walks back to Kenji, who’s eyes are glazed over. Looking out at the crowd, JT nods his head. Back at Kenji, like a surgeon, JT delicately places the sharp, uneven curvature of the crowbar inside Kenji’s mouth like he was baiting a fish hook. As the crowd gasps, JT PULLS down as hard as he can, RIPPING and tearing at the insides of Kenji’s cheek. JT sits down with all of his body weight and PULLS on the crowbar as the crowd watches Kenji’s feet flail and kick in every which direction. Kenji desperately holds onto the crowbar, trying to muscle it out of his mouth… but to no avail. On the outside, JT actually shouts at Nolan, “ASK HIM!”

Jimmy Yates: My GOD… JT is using the crowbar as … a submission?!! BRILLIANT!!

Bryan Harris: This is DISGUSTING!!

Alan Ducard: Who knew John Thomas was such a master of weaponry?

As Nolan sees if Kenji wants to give it up, Kenji howls in agony as JT pulls down on Kenji’s cheek with the crowbar in a disturbing manner. Realizing he has no other choice, Kenji pushes his body against the ropes, and awkwardly falls to the outside mat, relieving the pressure of the crowbar and escaping having his cheek ripped open like The Joker. Satisfied with the damage he has done, JT is back on his feet, guiding Kenji to his own. Rolling him back into the ring fully, JT once again reaches into the well that Kenji dug. This time, JT picks up the croquet mallet and two red croquet balls.

As Kenji clutches his face, he backs up into the bottom turnbuckle, resting for a moment. JT, meanwhile, also rolls into the ring, but he places one of the croquet balls four-feet from where Kenji is sitting. With Kenji’s legs spread open, everyone in the arena pretty much gets the idea and an odd chant starts up in the front row, quickly escalating into the entire arena.

“IN-THE-BALLS! IN-THE-BALLS! IN-THE-BALLS!”

Jimmy Yates: I don’t think I’ve ever heard an “In the balls!” chant before, guys.

Bryan Harris: Definitely a LEGACY first.

As Kenji exhaustively holds his throbbing cheek and leans his head back between the bottom and second turnbuckles, Kenji places another croquet ball about four-feet away from the first one he set down. Now that he has both croquet balls set up straight as an arrow aimed for Kenji’s crotch, JT looks out into the crowd and actually has a laugh with them over this situation.
Bryan Harris: DON‘T.

With surgical precision, JT firmly smacks the first croquet ball with enough force that, upon impact with the second ball, it sends a perfectly measured shot right into Kenji’s testicles. Kenji’s eyes go wide with horror as he holds his private area, almost in complete shock, and the audience explodes with cheers.

Alan Ducard: Now that’s some sophisticated violence if I’ve ever seen it!

Dragging Kenji by the foot away from the corner he was sitting in, JT hooks both legs and Nolan drops to the mat for the count.

ONE!!

TWO!!

Kenji kicks out!

Jimmy Yates: Kenji’s nutting up!

Bryan Harris: Hardy, har, har.

Alan Ducard: Kenji’s going balls out!!

Bryan Harris: AL! I’m surprised at you.

With Kenji Yamada reeling from all of the weapons John Thomas has used on him up to this point, JT senses victory within his grasp. Guiding Kenji to his feet, JT signals to the crowd for something moments before body slamming Kenji Yamada back down onto the canvas, adjusting his limbs in the center of the ring. Pointing to the top rope, John Thomas nods at the crowd.

Alan Ducard: Could we be seeing the “Above Average Moonsault”? I think so!

Jimmy Yates: It certainly looks like JT is calling for it!
Bryan Harris: Kenji is in a bad way here… REALLY bad way.

JT begins his ascension to the top rope, with the crowd standing on their feet. With his back facing the ring, JT LEAPS with a backflip off the top rope. Seeing it coming, Kenji rolls out of the way moments before impact, and JT sees the roll not a moment to soon as he lands dexterously on his feet. Pulling himself up off of the mat, Kenji gives his back and neck away to John Thomas for entirely too long, allowing John Thomas to leap up and SNATCH Kenji’s head into a sick falling neck breaker!

Jimmy Yates: SFN!! THAT’S IT!!

Making a lateral cover on Kenji Yamada, who appears to be unconscious, Nolan drops down for the count.

ONE!!

TWO!!

THR- KENJI’S FOOT IS ON THE ROPE!!

The disappointment within the audience is palpable, and JT looks at Leonard Nolan with bewilderment etched upon his countenance. Almost pulling his hair out of his head, JT briefly questions the count by Nolan, but decides better of pushing it into an argument. Focusing back on Kenji, JT brings the nearly unconscious Yamada to his feet. Not giving Kenji a moment to counter, JT seizes Kenji’s left arm and bends it upwards, unnaturally into Kenji’s upper back region. Pulling Kenji’s neck viciously to the right, JT locks in the patented chicken-wing cross-face… but only for seconds. With great wherewithal, Kenji pushes off the top rope with his feet, and nearly backflips OVER JT, causing JT to awkwardly stumble to the ground. Refusing to let go, JT finds himself in a pinning predicament..

ONE!!

TWO!!

THR- John Thomas finally releases the hold and manages to get a shoulder up just in the nick of time.

Alan Ducard: Beautiful counter by Kenji Yamada!

Jimmy Yates: Many legends of the past have fallen prey to such a counter, and it shows great ring awareness by JT to be able to kick out from such a counter.

Still stunned a bit from the offensive struggle he’s encountered from his opponent, Kenji holds the back of his neck from the Sick Falling Neckbreaker he took a few minutes earlier. Realizing John Thomas is getting to his feet entirely too quickly, Kenji extends a foot and SLAMS his knee into JT’s forehead, sending him back down to the mat in a dark haze of oblivion. Opting to take a moment to regain his bearings instead of going for the pin, Kenji Yamada shakes the cobwebs, and looks back out at the of pile of weapons he emptied earlier. Slithering out of the ring once again, Kenji grabs the steel chair that was dropkicked into his face. Angrily snatching it up, Kenji reenters the ring, spitting and sputtering with a seething rage.

JT appears to be getting up from the mat, but Kenji rains down a barrage of chair shots across his forehead, even smacking his forehead when JT’s head is flat against the canvas in extremely dangerous fashion.

Alan Ducard: NO!! Oh my GOD…

The crowd watches in frightened astonishment as Kenji continues driving the chairs down into JT’s face. As JT’s limbs go limp, Kenji continues unleashing the cold, unforgiving, steel attack… almost as if he was attempting to take the life of his opponent. Finally, satisfied enough with the carnage, Kenji stops swinging the chair. Looking down at the splotches of blood on the black steel, Kenji unfolds the chair and sets it up in the middle of the ring. With John Thomas unmoving, Kenji disturbingly rips JT up from the mat so that he doesn’t even have to stand on his feet. A vacant look in JT’s crimson-filled eyes, Kenji stands behind JT’s dead weight, holding him up right with a half-nelson. Releasing the hold, Kenji then pushes JT’s weight forward, setting him up for the makings of a wheelbarrow suplex. Shifting Thomas’ weight upwards, Kenji re-applies the half-nelson… and in one quick motion, he CRADLES JT’s head inwards in a downward motion, SMASHING JT’s head through the unfolded steel chair, flattening the steel completely. Hooking a leg upon the landing, Nolan drops down the count as the crowd is stunned from the sadistic nature of the finishing move and the chair shots that preceded it.

One…

Two…

Three.

Nolan calls for the bell, and Kenji throws JT’s legs aside, almost as angry as he would be in defeat.

Bryan Harris: Ha!! Kenji did it!! He silenced baby Belote!!

Alan Ducard: Wow… Kenji almost looks dissatisfied with his performance!

Jimmy Yates: It’s because JT wouldn’t stay down… JT kept coming. He kept bringing the offense to Kenji, when so many others that Kenji has faced had simply fallen prey to his violent nature. JT may have lost, but at the end of the day, this is a moral victory for the fortunate son.

Girugamesh’s “ALIVE” begins blaring over the arena’s PA system, and Kenji Yamada looks down at the bloodied and battered John Thomas, who despite the nightmarishly stiff chair shots, is half-sitting up from the canvas. Kenji mere feet away from him, he looks out at the audience, that are actually clapping for the man who was defeated.

Alan Ducard: What a true show of respect for John Thomas here tonight from the fans in Atlanta.

Jimmy Yates: Class for a classy guy.

Bryan Harris: Ugh.

Shaking his head with disgust, Kenji drops to one knee in front of John Thomas. With JT half-sitting up, blood drenching his face and upper body, he raises his fist in defense. Kenji once again shakes his head, and palms the face of JT, shoving him back to the canvas. Wiping the blood from his hand across his chest like a badge of honor, Kenji rolls out of the ring and begins heading down the elevated ramp back to the dressing room. Gazing up at the LEGACY Jumbo Vision, he stops in his tracks when he sees John Thomas once again sitting up, this time fully with the help of the bottom rope. Blood pouring out of his forehead, JT motions for Kenji to bring some more… but rather than oblige him, Kenji just shakes his head as he disappears behind the curtain.

Tao of Valor Championship
Last Man Standing
Match
Gryffin Anselm vs
Matthew Dawson (c)

The house lights in the arena dim and gold spotlights shine down onto the arena stage and one lone white spotlight shines down into the ring where Josephina Colbert is yet again standing.

Josephina Colbert: The next match is a LAST MAN STANDING MATCH and it is for the Tao of Valor Championship!!!

The fans give a good pop, as they're excited for what should be a heated contest. As there's another stipulation to announce, Josephina keeps talking.

Josephina Colbert: As stated in the contract for this match, if Gryffin Anselm is defeated in this match, he must become a member of the V.I.P. Introducing first, the challenger...

The lights again dim as "The Mirror" by Dream Theater hits the speakers, and red strobes illuminate the arena.

Josephina Colbert: Weighing in at 272 pounds... hailing from Chicago, Illinois.... he is known as "The Eliminator".... Will... "Grrrrrrryffin".... ANSELM!!!!

As the song switches gears and really gets going, Gryffin steps out from the back, his head down, focused and intense. His pants are typical Anselm: black cargo tactical pants. His shirt is burgundy, a LEGACY signature shirt with the company slogan across the chest.

Jimmy Yates: How appropriate for this match. Gryffin is wearing a shirt which reads "How do you want to be remembered?".

Alan Ducard: For those of you watching this event who might be new to LEGACY, Gryffin Anselm has worked hard over the past several months here in 2010 to change his image. He used to be the leader of the Diabolik, a group very similar to the V.I.P. He has won over the fans and shown that he put those old ways behind him, really making a name and new reputation for himself... and if he loses tonight, that is all for not.

Bryan Harris: I don't know how you can say that, Al. If Anselm loses tonight, and he WILL lose tonight, he gets to once again embrace his past, reclaim his old mindset, adopt his former principles, and he can become the dominant force he once was in this business, not the shell of a man you see before you.

Jimmy Yates: I don't think that'll happen, Bryan. If Anselm loses, I don't think he'll ever embrace the ideals which V.I.P. stand for, which Gryffin once lived by. I think he's a new man, new priorities, and if anything, I could see him making a positive change in Matthew Dawson, Ledge and... well, Adam Davis might be lost for good.

Slowly turning his gaze upwards, Gryffin Anselm marches along the entrance walkway, and when he reaches the ring he simply ducks in under the top rope and walks past Josephina Colbert into the far corner. He takes off his shirt, looking at the message for a moment, then drapes it over the top turnbuckle bar and starts stretching his neck.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing next... the champion...

"Voodoo Problem" - A Hendix - Jay-Z mash-up hits the PA system and the capacity crowd erupts in a chorus of boos. They know the detested ToV
Champion is about to make his presence felt. The lights in the arena dim, and a spotlight appears at the top of the rampway. Dawson steps into the spotlight with the ToV Title strapped around his waist, and the spotlight follows him on his way to the ring.

Josephina Colbert: Now walking to the ring with the Tao of Valor Championship... He is only the second man in LEGACY history to successfully collect all four Tao of Valor tokens... he is "The Highlight Of The Night".... Mattheeeeeeeww...... DAAAAWSOOOOOOON!!!!

Jimmy Yates: Dawson does indeed want the spotlight on him figuratively and literally, but this is a rather "tame" entrance by Dawson standards guys.

Bryan Harris: I have it on good authority that this less-is-more approach is straight from the champion himself. No escorts, no managers, nothing that would detract from what is going to happen in that ring tonight. The Highlight of the Night wants people talking about what he does to Gryffin Anselm, not his unparalleled showmanship.

Alan Ducard: Well gents with the lights back on and the ToV Champion now having made his way into the ring he looks much more intense than I've seen him in quite some time.

Jimmy Yates: If you are looking for intensity Alan, then look no further than the challenger. Anselm is ready to take possession of LEGACY gold once more.

Dawson steps into the ring and moves right to the center to confront Anselm. The two lock eyes, and the intensity begins to build as they get right up in each others faces. The official can barely get between them to get the ToV Title away from Dawson. After getting the belt, he immediately signals for the bell, and the fists begin to fly. A quick left jab from Dawson and surprisingly sharp right start it off, but Anselm retaliates with a powerful body blow and uppercut of his own. Dawson staggers back, and Anselm puts him to the ropes and sends him off on the Irish whip. The Highlight of the Night ducks the clothesline and rebound off with a flying forearm that takes Anselm to the canvas. Quickly he comes off the ropes and drops and elbow on the challenger before stepping into an early chinlock.

Alan Ducard: Matthew Dawson using that speed advantage here in the early going to take control of this title match, and now he's trying to wear down his larger adversary.

Jimmy Yates: I think we're going to see a really mixed back of tactics here tonight Alan. Of course the speed and strength advantages play a role, but both are no slouches at brawling and have some technical ability.

Bryan Harris: Agreed Jimbo, but I think you have to give the advantage to Dawson. Anselm used to be a guy who would do whatever it took to win, and Dawson is that guy now.

Dawson works on keeping Gryffin grounded, but Anselm powers his way back up, firing off elbows to break free. He comes off the the ropes, and Dawson leapfrogs over him. Anselm turns, but Dawson hits a kick to the midsection and takes off. He rebounds off the ropes, but Anselm is waiting for him, and Gryffin hooks Dawson and takes him over with a belly to belly suplex.

Alan Ducard: Anselm, seizing the advantage sends Dawson off with the Irish whip to the corner, and there's a big clothesline off the follow-up charge. Now with Dawson trapped in the corner, Gryffin delivers a big knee lift.

Jimmy Yates: Gryffin is continuing the assault in the corner, with more big knees, and he seems to be really working over the midsection and the back.

Bryan Harris: I might not care for Anselm's new "outlook" but I can't very well fault his in-ring ability. He's a true, ring-savvy veteran, and he's getting right down to business in targeting an area.

Alan Ducard: Dawson is reeling in the corner from the big knees, and now Gryffin scoops up the ToV Champion over his shoulder and he rams him into the turnbuckles, and there's a big powerslam out over the corner!

Jimmy Yates: The Highlight of the Night is down, but Anselm doesn't want a count yet. He pulls Dawson back to his feet, scoops him up, and hits a backbreaker, still holding on he swings him out of that position into a massive spinebuster!

Bryan Harris: I heard a few fans behind us gasp at that impact - oh ye of little faith. The Highlight of the Night will be back to his feet, mark my words.

After the spinebuster, Anselm motions for the count as Dawson rolls over on the canvas clutching at his back, and he slowly starts to push back to his feet, and the count breaks at six, with Anselm going on the attack again. He hammers Dawson with a big right hand, and then heaves him up looking for an early Devastator, but as he does, Dawson scoots down the back and rolls out of the ring as the crowd jeers him.

Alan Ducard: Dawson manages to escape a rather dire situation, exiting the ring.

Jimmy Yates: He's smart enough to know that a Devastator could end this encounter. Being dropped on your head with that kind of force? It's a potential knockout blow.

Bryan Harris: It is Jimbo, but Anselm didn't hit it and now Dawson is away from danger and he's bought himself some time to recuperate.

Dawson paces around the outside, and Anselm goads him to get back into the ring, and finally after the chiding, and the fans getting on his case, the ToV Champion steps back inside the ring. The fighters go for a tie-up, but Anselm is there with a kick and axehandle blow. Anselm hooks Dawson, potentially for the Eliminator Jackhammer, but Dawson blocks and quickly spins out, dropping Gryffin with a neckbreaker!

Alan Ducard: The ToV Champion is fighting back. There's the neckbreaker, and now he's off the ropes and he drops the knee to the head. Anselm rolls over and tries to push up to his feet, holding his head, and Dawson hooks him and takes him back up and over with a textbook belly to back suplex!

Bryan Harris: A great positioning move from Dawson. He's heading for turnbuckles, and I think he has Anselm right where he wants him.

Jimmy Yates: Dawson really is hurrying here Bryan - no wasted motion, no time for the fans - could it be he's showing Gryffin some respect here?

Bryan Harris: Or he's showing that championship focus here tonight.

Alan Ducard: Dawson now on the top rope he turns and ... MOONSAULT! Dawson connects with a big moonsault from the top rope!

Bryan Harris: Hey monkeys in the production cue the instant replay on that one - that was beautiful.

Dawson upon hitting the moonsault, asks for the count as he moves away from the downed challenger. Anselm guts it out, starting to go vertical at about five, but Dawson quickly charges, spins around Gryffin and PLANTS him with a jump swinging DDT right in the middle of the ring! With the impact, Dawson kips-up and stands with a smirk in the middle of the ring as the official makes his second count. Anselm is slower to rise this time, the count becoming perilous, but out of nowhere Gryffin makes a push and breaks the count at seven.

Bryan Harris: I'm a tad surprised the DDT didn't do the trick, but you never know with these Last Man Standing matches. Working the knockout count is an art form. If you think your opponent will let the count run, you almost need to "work" the count long as a recuperative advantage. So it can be hard to tell when a guy is really "down for the count".

Jimmy Yates: Where did the sudden intelligent and insightful commentary come from Bry?

Bryan Harris: Jimbo it's not often we get a match in LEGACY with two fighters I actually respect.

In spite of Anselm's count break, The Highlight of the Night stays on the offensive. He moves on on Anselm as he rises, and with a quick, smooth motions plants him on the knee for the inverted atomic drop, and then spikes Anselm with a quick DDT. He pulls the challenger up and then sens him off on the Irish whip. On the rebound Dawson surprises everyone by taking Gryffin over with an exploder suplex!

Jimmy Yates: Wow, I can't believe Dawson got him!

Bryan Harris: He did, but it took a good bit out of him, he's slow to get up.

Alan Ducard: It appeared as if the official was about to start a double count gents, but Dawson is back to his feet after that big maneuver.

With the Highlight of the Night on his feet and Gryffin still down, the count continues, and the fans get a bit nervous past five, but between seven and eight, Gryffin manages to stand. A frustrated Dawson comes at him again.

Alan Ducard: The Highlight of the Night is frustrated by the challenger's resolve, and this match will continue.

Jimmy Yates: Of course Gryffin is going to give it all he has here and show that resolve. He doesn't want to be a member of VIP. He doesn't want to go back to his old ways. This is about freedom for Gryffin as much as its about the ToV Title.

Bryan Harris: That's exactly what Dawson wanted though Jimbo. He wanted the best of Anselm to prove a point to all of the skeptics, that he truly is the greatest ToV Champion in LEGACY history and maybe the greatest champion in LEGACY history period.

Alan Ducard: The Highlight of the Night is back on the attack and he again hooks Anselm looking for another DD-No! Anselm powering out and ... MASSIVE SPINEBUSTER! Anselm had to modify it to get him up but he plants the champion!

Jimmy Yates: Dawson is severely stunned, and Gryffin pulls him up and a big short-arm clothesline nearly takes Dawson's head off his shoulders.

Alan Ducard: I'm not sure Dawson knows where he is right now gents.

Jimmy Yates: He's in a world of hurt that's for sure.

Anselm pulls Dawson to his feet, hooks the arms, and heaves him up, showing all that power and driving Matthew down with a double underhook backbreaker right in the middle of the ring. Anselm wants a count as the fans cheer for the champion's apparent demise. When the referee starts administering the count, Dawson begins stirring and Gryffin gets back in on the attack.

Bryan Harris: Smart move, Anselm. If Dawson gets back into the match here, you're done.

Hoisting Matthew not only up off the mat but onto his shoulders, Gryffin wrenches in on Dawson's head and leg with a torture rack, and immediately Matthew starts struggling, his eyes opening wide. As the challenger keeps putting pressure on, the challenger begins struggling less and less.

Alan Ducard: The strategy of not letting Dawson recover appears to be working.

Jimmy Yates: It's definitely working! By God, I think Gryffin Anselm is actually going to make Matthew Dawson pass out from the pain!

When Dawson stops struggling, the referee notifies Gryffin, who then tosses Matthew up and over his head, plopping him down onto the mat in front of him. The ref then begins his count. For the first five counts, Gryffin paces, looking out over the crowd, everywhere but at his opponent. At six, Anselm turns and stands over Dawson.

Seven....

Eight...!

The Tao of Valor champion stirs.... and rolls over.

NINE!!!

Foot underneath himself, Dawson propels himself upwards, getting back up to his feet. Backing up a few steps, Gryffin watches as Dawson uses the ropes to hold himself up, and when Matthew turns around, Anselm charges in and clotheslines him backwards over the top rope, sending him out onto the entrance walkway.

Making his way through the ropes, Gryffin isn't ready to just let that be the last thing he does to the champion in the match, confident that he needs to do more. Slowly, methodically, Anselm hoists Dawson up onto his shoulders, then turns to face the referee and mouths "get ready to count".

Bryan Harris: Look at the arrogance by Gryffin! And you have doubts that he's going to fit into the V.I.P.? HA!

Alan Ducard: Devastator on its way...

As Gryffin turns around to face the cheering crowd, Matthew Dawson swings his legs up and around, moving his hands into position on either side of the champ's neck, and when he pulls his legs into position, Dawson pulls back and drops down onto the entrance walkway with his lung-blower!

Jimmy Yates: Now both men are down on their backs, and the ref is starting the count on both men!

Alan Ducard: If neither guy gets up, Dawson retains the belt, but if he doesn't win the match, what does that mean for Anselm's status as a potential member of V.I.P.?

The referee's count hits six, and Matthew Dawson crawls over and pulls himself back up with the aid of the ropes from the outside. Instead of getting back into the ring, Dawson starts to help Anselm back up to his feet, but immediately tucks the challenger's head in between his legs, then hooks Anselm around the abdomen, lifts up slightly and drops backwards, PLANTING Gryffin's head down into the elevated walkway with a piledriver.

Bryan Harris: Hope you enjoyed the contest, boys, because Matthew Dawson just hit the last move he's going to need, and as he stands there watching, you can bet that he's planning how the V.I.P. is going to use their newest member.

Jimmy Yates: Yeah... because he doesn't have to think about how to hold himself up right now because that rope is keeping him there!

The count reaches eight, and instead of trying to get up, Gryffin rolls to the side and ends up putting his feet onto the arena floor, his hands resting on the walkway.

Alan Ducard: And the count is broken, as Gryffin finds a way to stay up!

Bryan Harris: A technicality being used by Gryffin, yet another way in which he's looking like he'd be a perfect fit for VIP!

The referee notifies the champion, but Dawson can't believe it. seeing Anselm on the arena floor, Matthew gets frustrated and thinks for a moment, then backs up a few steps. When Gryffin has moved away from the walkway, Dawson backs up a few more steps, then rushes a few quick steps and leaps at his opponent, but Anselm catches him, and then drives him back first into the corner ringpost before sending him down to the arena floor. Taking the champion by the head, Anselm hoists him back up off the floor but gets his eyes raked in the process. Dawson then kicks Gryffin in the gut, grabs him by the wrist and sends him into the corner ring post with an Irish whip.

Jimmy Yates: That doesn't look good, Anselm holding his shoulder immediately.

Obviously in some pain, Anselm staggers backwards a few steps and turns around and Dawson hooks the arm, leaps and spins and takes down the challenger with a tornado arm breaker on the shoulder.

With Anselm hurting, Dawson's tenacity only seems to increase as he charges in and hammers away at the arm and shoulder, doing whatever he can to inflict damage. He rolls Anselm back inside the ring. Anselm fires back instinctively as Dawson follows, but The Highlight of the Night ducks under and snares the arm and pulls into a hammerlock. A moment later he takes Anselm up and over onto that injured arm and shoulder with a hammerlock belly to back suplex!

Alan Ducard: Matthew Dawson is staying on that arm and he pulls Anselm back up only to hook the arm and drive Anselm down with an armbreaker, and now he's going for a crossface! Dawson is trying to get Anselm into a crossface, but Anselm rolls and breaks free. Gryffin is trying to get back to his feet, and here comes Dawson again for another cross face attempt trying to get Anselm back down.

Jimmy Yates: Gryffin is struggling, using what power he has and he spins out ... HE HOOKS DAWSON AND DRIVES HIM DOWN WITH A MODIFIED STO/SPINEBUSTER! Gryffin plans Dawson only to pull him back up and there's the Irish whip, and there's a big hip toss style throw and Dawson lands on the apron.

Bryan Harris: Great balance shown by a great athlete to land - ohhhh!

Alan Ducard: Gryffin made that athleticism a moot point Bryan as he connects with a big rebound boot to the head, and sends Dawson back outside, and I think Dawson landed up against the barricade.

The Highlight of the Night falls forward from the impact, and Anselm follows him to the outside, and tosses Dawson into the apron, and then back into the ringside barrier. A battered Dawson stumbles right to the waiting Anselm, who hooks him and sends him up into the air, and then roar with approval as Anselm drives him down ...

Jimmy Yates: Eliminator! He just jackhammer slammed Dawson right down to that unforgiving floor!

Alan Ducard: I dare say gents that Dawson is out!

Anselm motions for the referee to make the count, and it begins as Gryffin stands just a few steps from Dawson's motionless body. The count begins, and with each number, the fans begin to count along, louder, and louder. Finally at about 6-7 Dawson begins to stir, rolling over towards the barricade.

Jimmy Yates: He's not going to make it ... we're going to have a new Champion.

Bryan Harris: He's going to have to dig deep, go back to those days wrestling in that southern hell hole and find some reserves.

At 8, Dawson reaches up and grabs the barricade, and begins to lift, and at 9 he's to his knees ... and he makes that big push.

Bryan Harris: HE'S UP! He's using the barricade but he's saved the title!

Jimmy Yates: I can't believe it and neither can the challenger.

Alan Ducard: The Highlight of the Night is trying to distance himself from a surprised Anselm, and he's staggering to the ring steps, and Anselm has him targeted.

Jimmy Yates: He's zeroed in on Dawson and he's using the ring post to stay up by the steps and here comes Anselm .... NO!

Anselm exploded running across the the ringside area at Dawson, looking to break him in two, but somehow, someway, The Highlight of the Night manages to avoid the finishing blow, and Anselm crashes into the steel steps, taking a horrendous shot to his head and injured shoulder as he dislodges the steps and sends them flying.

Alan Ducard: What a turn of events as Anselm is DOWN over the remaining portion of the ring steps.

Jimmy Yates: He hit HARD Alan, he's in a a very bad way now, I'm not sure if he even knows where he is now, and ... Oh my God ... Anselm is trying to get up. He's pushing up off the steps, trying to get to his feet!

Bryan Harris: That's why VIP wants this guy. They want this tough SOB in their camp. They want this to be the last time they are on opposing sides.

Alan Ducard: The Highlight of the Night is heading up to the elevated rampway behind Anselm! He has Anselm targeted and ... he leaps ... BULLDOG! HE CATCHES ANSELM WITH A BULLDOG AND DRIVES HIM DOWN INTO THE STEEL!

Jimmy Yates: Oh man ... Anselm is busted open now and I think he caught that shoulder again too.

Bryan Harris: The Highlight of the Night is asking for the count! The official is in position!

The count begins, and Anselm stays motionless on the floor. The fans jeer as Dawson staggers back against the elevated rampway to support himself. The count continues five, six, seven - Anselm isn't moving, and at nine, Dawson raises his arms, and finally after what seems to be an eternity the ten count is made.

Bryan Harris: HA! He did it, Dawson retains, and Anselm is now a member of VIP!

The official signals for the bells and Josephina does her duty.

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, and still ToV Champion! The Highlight of the Night ... Matthew ... Daaaaaaaaaaaaawson!

"Voodoo Problems" hits the PA system and Matthew Dawson takes his ToV Title, and forces the official to raise his hand. He then reaches down under the ring and pulls something out before moving to the elevated rampway. He tosses something black down at Anselm who bloodied, is just starting to stir. As he sits up to see a VIP t-shirt across his legs, and Matthew Dawson clutching his back, standing above him on the rampway, the ToV Title raised in victory.

Jimmy Yates: I didn't think I'd see it tonight, but the historic ToV reign continues.

Alan Ducard: It was a great contest gents, and it could have gone either way, but tonight, the VIP is going strong, and has added a new member.

Bryan Harris: Gryffin Anselm, welcome to the VIP!

Looking Back Hardcore

Back at the announce table, Alan Ducard stacks a set of papers in front of him and stares into the camera.

Alan Ducard: The third and final match of Friday Night's pre-show event saw a long-time budding feud between Thomas Manchester Black and Chris Turner. All along these two have been butting heads, and in recent shows they have gone toe to toe in the ring with one another. TMB won the first one in a destructive affair which saw both competitors end the match nearly unconscious.

Jimmy Yates: The second one, which was supposed to be a regular match, as dictated by TMB to say that Turner couldn't beat him with rules involved, was nothing more than a sham! Black showed up with no intentions of having a regular match, and in the process got himself disqualified right off the bat!

Bryan Harris: So here we are, the third and final match, and you can bet that it was sure hardcore, and it was a fun way to end the pre-show evening. It was so good, in fact, that the front office has decided to air it tonight along with the pay per view broadcast!

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and Gentlemen… The following match is No Limits with a half hour time limit… Coming to the ring first…. Standing 6’5”, weighing in at 265 pounds… THOMAS MANCHESTER BLACK!

"If I Was Your Vampire" by Marilyn Manson begins to play through the arena speakers, and Thomas Manchester Black appears at the entranceway. He scowls and quickly makes his way to the ring.

Josephina Colbert: And his opponent standing 6’6” and weighing in at 285 pounds… Chris Turner!

The lights go out. Suddenly red pyro technics explode at the entrance, and “Angry Again” by Megadeath blares through the arena speakers. Chris Turner appears. He wears his “Air Awesomo” Tshirt, and carries two heavy trash bags filled with weapons. The crowd cheers.

Turner streamlines to the ring and attacks Black as soon as he gets into the ring. The crowd erupts, as he hits Black with three rights and then a jarring left knocking Black into the ropes. Black falls to the outside and runs up the ramp.

Turner sees this and jumps off the top rope, landing on the fleeing Black. Turner gets him up and flings him into the guardrail, and then runs at Black. Black gets out of the way and smashes Turner’s head into the rail. Turner, now bleeding, stumbles back, and Black kicks him in the gut. Turner keels over. Black pulls the guardrail free and smashes it over Turner’s back. Turner is laid out.

Black looks at the crowd and smirks as they cheer and jeer at the same time. He kicks the guardrail off of Turner, and then heads back into the ring. Turner slowly gets to his feet, and gathers himself. He runs back to the ring.

Black turns and catches Turner climbing back into the ring with a roll up. The ref falls to the mat and counts….1….2….3…. The ref motions for the bell. Black pops up celebrating. The crowd begins to boo at an incredible volume. As Black has his hand raised by the ref, Turner gets to his feet, with fury in his eyes.

Josephina Colbert: Here is your winner... Thomas Manchester Black!

Turner jumps out of the ring, grabs one of his bags, rips it open, and pulls out a hammer. He goes back into the ring and slams the hammer, claw first, into Black’s shoulder. Black falls to the ground and writhes in pain. Turner pulls it out and slams the claw into the other shoulder. Turner has a blank stare of anger on his face.

Turner pulls the hammer out and then KICKS Black as hard as he can in the face. Black tries to get up and fight back, but Turner keeps swinging and kicking at a demented rate. Once Black is to his feet, Turner slams him into the corner.

The ref tries to pull Turner off of Black, but Turner picks the ref up and throws him out of the ring. Turner turns back to Black who is clambering out the ring himself. Turner jumps on the top rope, causing Black to fall to the ground.

Turner jumps down after him. He gets Black up and flings him into the guard rail. He then suplexes Black into the Steel steps. Black is bloody, and out of breath. Turner picks up the steps and slams them down onto Black’s right arm. Black pulls his arm out and holds it in pain. Turner stomps on the now broken arm, and while Black writhes in more pain, Turner gets Black to his feet. He flings Black into the ring, but Black somehow manages to stop himself, runs back at Turner, but Turner downs him with a killer Clothesline.

Turner goes to his ripped open bag of weapons and pulls out a staple gun. He pulls out a piece of paper and a sharpie. He writes “Kick Me” on the paper. He then pulls out a staple gun from the bag and walks back over to Black. As Black is trying to get back to his feet Turner staples the paper to Blacks back. Black falls back to the ground. Turner then drops the staple gun, and begins to continuously kick him.

Turner gets Black back into the ring, but rather than go in after him, Turner goes back and picks up the unopened Trash bag. He carries it to the ring. He climbs in, and rips open the bag. He pulls out a chain. As Black makes it to his feet, Turner whips Black in the legs with the chain, sending Black back to the mat. Turner then whips him in the back, and Black screams in pain.

Turner whips him into the corner, and ties him to the corner post with the chain. Turner smiles. Black stares through the blood streaming down his face,

Turner: Hardcore huh? I’ll fucking show you hardcore?

He goes back to the bag and pulls out a box cutter. He walks back to Black, and he rips off Blacks shirt. Black struggles to get free, but cant. Turner goes to cut him, but Security comes out, and Turner quickly takes them all out. He changes his mind about the knife and throws it out of the ring.

Turner leaps out of the ring and pulls two tables out from underneath it. Back in the ring, Black is still trying to escape the chain keeping him tied down. Turner puts both of the tables into the ring, and climbs back in. He sets one up, and then sets up the other one, on top of the first one. He turns and smirks at Black.

He crosses back and undoes the chain. Black takes advantage of this, and grabs the chain, choking Turner. He gets Turner down to the mat, but Turner does the mandible claw to Black’s Groin, freeing himself from the chain. Turner grabs the chain and hog ties Black.

Turner: Guess I can’t trust you to stay can I? BAD DOG! Guess I’m gonna have to make you pay.

He crosses back to his bag and pulls out lighter fluid. He sprays it over both tables. He reaches into the bag, and pulls out a book of matches. He lights one, and flicks it onto the bottom table. It quickly catches aflame, causing the second one to catch quickly after.

Turner crosses back to Black and pulls him to the tables. He picks Black up by the neck, and CHOKE SLAMS Black through the two burning tables. Black lays there, the chains heating up and burning his skin, and the flames catching him on fire. Turner quickly runs out of the ring, grabs a steel chair, leaps back into the ring, and begins to pummel the fire out with the chair. Once the fire is out, Turner grabs a pair of bolt cutters from the bag and cuts the chain off of Black. Black lays there motionless. Turner just stares at him, accessing the mess… He has a worried look on his face.

He hops out of the ring, and runs over to Jospehina Colbert

Turner: Call 911! I think he’s really hurt...

He then turns and walks back up the ramp. A small smirk appears on his face.

Alan Ducard: Well Thomas Manchester Black might have won the match, but Chris Turner certainly got the better of him, and I'm not sure if... or when... we'll see TMB in competition again.

No Limits Match
Issac Entragian
vs Hazard

The arena seems almost to tremble, the ocean of humanity in the stands stretching nearly as far as the eye can see. There’s electricity in the atmosphere, it’s like tasting the air near a power plant, it makes you feel TOO awake, and you can barely rest on the edge of your seat.

The fans roar, the sound akin to a god-like beast bellowing down from the heavens, setting the tone for this MONUMENTAL night in sports entertainment. Millions of eyes rest on the entrance walkway as the masses await the next match, what’s certain to be a war that focuses not only on physical torment, but mental torment as well.

Without warning, the speakers BLARE, and “Stranglehold” by Ted Nugent rocks the denizens of Atlanta. Fans leap to their feet in anticipation, voices reaching a fever pitch of excitement at the prospect of seeing THE ONE MAN RIOT.

Finally with the crowd stewing in their seats, the hulking West Virginian throws back the curtains and steps out under the bright lights from above. Despite whatever psychological issues are plaguing him right now, Hazard’s eyes are hard and determined. If there is fear behind those eyes, he hides it well, his jaw set almost to put the exclamation point on his resolve.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing first, he hails from HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA, he is THE ONE MAN RIOT, HAZZZZZZZZZZZZZARDDDDDD!!!

Hazard carries himself with purpose, his eyes showing only stone cold pride as he walks down the ramp towards the ring, the fans SCREAMING his praise.

Jimmy Yates: Ladies and gentlemen, the man you see before is HAZARD, he came to LEGACY with a simple mantra and a simple set of tools, fight hard and keep your weapons of choice keen, and that mindset has lead to undeniable success for Hazard.

Alan Ducard: That’s right Jimmy, this man is a former Network Champion, he has turned back more challenges than I can count on two hands, and he once his laid waste to the bizarre creature we call Frank Garvin. This man is a FIGHER, pure and simple, and rather or not he’s intimidated by Entragian, I have no doubt that he is here to FIGHT, and in my heart, I know he has what it takes to WIN.

Bryan Harris: Sing his praises all damn night for all I care, but what you two fail to realize that what we’re seeing right now is a man walking to the gallows. He’s doing a good job of not showing it so far, but THE IVORY TERROR is in this man’s head, Issac has cast a dark shadow over The One Man Riot’s heart, and you two may be to blind too see it, but I see past Hazard’s facade, I see the fear buried under that pride, and it’s eating him up from the inside out.

As Bryan’s ominous words wash over the masses, the opening chords of “OBSCURE” from Dir En Grey ring out over the loudspeakers. Maniacal screaming assaults the LEGACY universe, the music so loud that many small children in the crowd clamp their hands over their ears.

The sociopath pioneer Kenji Yamada emerges from the back…pushing a claw-foot bathtub attached to a rolling platform. The cameras pick up Yamada and the tub from various angles, and we see that a vile red liquid sloshes around inside, something that looks like old blood.

Kenji pushes the tub to the very edge of the ring, and while favoring Hazard with one cold-blooded stare, he turns around and mechanically makes his way back up the ramp, vanishing behind the curtains in a flash.

The claw-foot tub just sits there, silent and foreboding, the various cameras in the arena filming the object from all sides. We get a shot of Hazard’s facial expression, and it seems almost to break down, he swallows DEEPLY, a glimmer of what must be intimidation shining in those eyes.

The “blood” in the tub starts to bubble, and from deep within the bowels of that nasty abyss we know that something is BREATHING. A foul smelling steam starts to rise from the blood, and the red waters start to shimmer as something moves within the tub.

Hazard tilts his head back while standing in the ring, breathing DEEPLY through his nose, his eyes as wide as saucers.

Quite suddenly, something heavy and hard hits BOTH sides of the bathtub from the inside, sending spiderweb cracks through the porcelain. The cameras zoom in, and a pallid demon immediately BURSTS up and out of the tub, blood flying from his hair and his body, his pale skin dripping and saturated with plasma. His head hangs low, his face leering and smiling, blood dripping from strands of his hair and the points of his teeth. Issac mouths one word to Hazard, that smile never leaving his face.

Entragian: “Run.”

For just a moment, Hazard’s composure fades away, he wheels around drunkenly, his eyes shocked and terrified, and he starts to flee towards the opposite side of the ring. He makes it to the rope before he realizes what he’s doing, and he stops there, hands on the top rope. He speaks to himself, seeming almost to convince himself of something.

Hazard: “Not this way. Get it together. I have a job to do. GET IT TOGETHER.”

Hazard reluctantly turns around to face his dark adversary once again, this time smacking his hands against his face to psych himself up. There’s still fear in him, but he’s doing his BEST to bury it.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing second, he hails from MIDEON, NEBRASKA… he is THE IVORY TERROR, he is THE PALE RIDER….ISSACCCCCC ENTRAGIIIIIIANNNN!!!!!!

The white and bloodied giant steps out of the tub, red liquid running down his bare chest and bone-white tights. He makes his way to the apron, climbing inside the ring, and all the while his eyes are locked with Hazard, and ALL the while, he’s speaking through that smile.

Jimmy Yates: That was…bone chilling. I don’t even want to guess what putrid nastiness is in that tub, and fitting for such a vile creature to emerge from such an environment.

Bryan Harris: Look at this man, look at this 2-TIME FORMER WORLD CHAMPION, this is a god among wrestling insects, this is LEGACY’s big white devil, ENTRAGIAN HIS VERY SELF! And already, he’s boring holes into Hazard’s fragile mindset; he’s already won the psychological war!

Alan Ducard: Bryan, I want you to think about who you’re cheering for here tonight. I know you have a hard-on for the “baddies” around here, but this “thing” we see before us right now is not some arrogant asshole like Loco Martinez, he’s not some cocky prick like X-Calibur…this thing is pure, unabashedly evil. You are rooting for EVIL, Bryan, in one of it’s purest forms. I don’t know how you can do that and still get to sleep at night…

Bryan Harris: It’s called ambien buck-o!

Hazard sets his feet and stands his ground, and Issac seems to hone in on this, he steps forward and lowers his face so that it’s inches away from Hazard’s own. Entragian continues to speak in soft, low tones, taunting and drilling Hazard with god only knows what sort of horribleness. We catch the phrase “I’m going to eat your eyes.” before the bell rings to start this match.

DING DING!

Gathering up what desperation-fueled courage Hazard has inside of him, The One Man Riot starts to just tee off on Issac, slamming rights and lefts into the monster’s face, his weapons of choice finding their mark over and over again!

Entragian stands and somehow manages to endure the assault, the punches drive him back, and his flesh swells with each blow that connects, but the smile on his face NEVER wavers, it seems only to grow larger and more predatory.

This incites Hazard, and he moves in closer, smashing elbows into Entragian’s upturned face, blasting him back against the ropes and then proceeding to lower his attack, his hard fists going to work on Issac’s red-stained abdomen. Issac tenses his stomach muscles, and continues to just endure, his eyes shining with the lunacy that lives inside of him.

Alan Ducard: That pale son of a bitch just won’t stop SMILING, and I think it’s driving Hazard’s off the deep end!

Jimmy Yates: Entragian isn’t even making an effort to cover up or counter Hazard’s assault; do you think this too could be some kind of mental ploy? God knows that white serpent always has some sort of plan in motion…

The One Man Riot starts to slow down, his punches losing some of their ferocity, and finally he just stands there, his unbelieving eyes staring up at the albino mastodon that stands before him. Entragian’s smile seems almost to tear at the lining of his cheeks, his face a mask of dark good cheer. The monster cocks his head, as if to say “are you done?” then he speaks the words…

“My turn.”

In a millisecond, Issac rears back and BURIES an uppercut into the shelf of Hazard’s jaw, and the big WV native is thrown back violently, stumbling down to one knee in the process. Entragian is RIGHT THERE, and he just starts to lay in with the heavy rain, ripping at Hazard’s long brown hair with one hand while sending a flurry of knuckles into his face with the other.

Bryan Harris: And here comes the PALE RIDER, I’m telling you boys, this match can be read like a horoscope; Hazard has no chance in HELL of overcoming his seven foot fate here tonight…

Jimmy Yates: Never count The One Man riot out, he might be scared, but when a dog is backed into a corner it comes out biting, and I know for one that Hazard is a warrior…and he WILL do what ever he can to survive.

The Pale Rider attempts an irish whip, but reverses by dropping down to his belly and using all the power and momentum he can muster to send the three hundred pounder across the ring and into the ropes. Issac rebounds with teeth bared and eyes fiery, but Hazard quickly hops up and whirls Issac up and into his grasp, CRUSHING his big body to the mat with a powerslam.

The monster hisses in pain, his eyes narrowed to slits as he writhes and scrapes a hand against his back.
Entragian cocks that
Seeming almost to sense that he MUST capitalize on this opening, Hazard snatches Issac right back up and fires into his gut with a big knee-lift, forcing the breath from Issac’s body. Entragian tries to mount offense, but the wind is still knocked out of him, and Hazard manages to trap the larger man’s arms, and from there he just starts to HAMMER frenzied headbutts into Issac’s alabaster face.

Alan Ducard: See that? THAT is the will to survive. When faced with living darkness, Hazard does the only thing he can…he fights.

Jimmy Yates: Those headbutts are NASTY. I think I heard a crunch…

After a barrage of about eight headbutts, Hazard finally withdraws, his own face red with the exertion of using his skull as a weapon. At first Entragian’s head slumps low, as though he’s knocked out, but then suddenly his face turns upwards, that SMILE once more beaming on his ivory countenance. Droplets of blood flow from the corner of his busted lip and one of his nostrils, yet STILL that monster smiles.

This seems to affect Hazard in a way that no form of physical assault ever could, and immediately he releases Issac’s arms and pushes him away, as though he were some horrible insect that you wanted NOTHING to do with.

The Pale Rider cocks his head, that grin smeared in blood, some of it his own, and some of it that grime from the tub. Yet another switch seems to turn in Hazard’s head, and he races forward, sweeping a leg and blasting an arm against Entragian’s chest with a Running STO that takes the monster right down to the canvas.

Bryan Harris: No matter what Hazard does to Issac, it almost seems like Entragian is indifferent, it’s like Issac’s ONLY goal here tonight is to feed that furnace of fear that’s blazing inside of Hazard’s mind.

Seeing the albino down, Hazard moves over to one of the turnbuckles and begins to climb upwards, perhaps thinking flying leg drop, but quite suddenly Entragian BOUNDS up to his feet and moves in on The One Man Riot.

Hazard’s eyes widen in fear, he has that deer caught in the headlights look, and Issac USES this, snatching up and arm and forcing Hazard up onto his shoulders, and with the big WV native still nearly paralyzed with dread, Entragian spins on his heel and drops down to a knee, SMASHING Hazard’s unprotected stomach into his sharp and bony knee.

Bryan Harris: THE DISEMBOWLER!!! IT’S ACADEMIC, THAT MAN FACED THE PERSONFICATION OF HIS DEMONS, and HE JUST FELT THEIR WRATH!

Entragian drops down, still smiling, and scoops up a dangling leg.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Josephina Colbert: HERE IS YOUR WINNER, THE IVOOOOOOORYYYYY TERRRORRR, ISSAAAAAAC ENTRAAAAAAAGIAN!!!!!!!!!!!

Hazard curls up into a fetal position in the wake of his defeat, turning his face as far away from the sight of the albino as he can get it. Issac just stands up and grins, that forked tongue slipping out to flick at his ruined opponent.

Jimmy Yates: Well despite a valiant effort, Hazard fell victim to LEGACY’s apex predator here tonight, and there’s no shame in that……many of the greats in this business have fallen at the feet of this beast, and I’m sure many more will follow…

Bryan Harris: I told you boys, defeated by his own fear, there was NEVER any doubt in my mind.

4-Way Ladder Match
World Tag Team Titles
V.I.P. Saunders Family.
Domination. Tres Bien (c)

The lights in the arena fade under, with only the spotlight shining down in the middle of the ring where the lovely Josephina Colbert stands, microphone in hand.

Josephina Colbert: Since its inception, Destined For Greatness has become a yearly tradition in LEGACY. Along with it, one match has also become a fixture on the landscape, pitting some of the best tag teams in the world against one another, with a common goal in mind... to climb the ladder...

Suddenly spotlights shine down from the rafters, each illuminating one of four ladders set up around the ring.

Josephina Colbert: The opportunity is now... the prize: the most coveted World Tag Team Championships in the business today.

The sound of tympani drums is heard as spotlights from the four corners of the arena focus on a central object being lowered from the rafters above the center of the ring. A giant clasp holding the two gold title belts representing the World Tag Team Championship in LEGACY.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing first...

The opening chords and drums of a slightly remastered LEGACY version of Metallica's "One" hits the speakers.

Josephina Colbert: At a combined weight of over 600 pounds... they are Paul Jr and "Big Boyd"... the Saunders Family!!!

Paul Jr comes through the curtain first, wearing a pale blue shirt with black and silver designs along the left half of it. Sunglasses shield his eyes and he throws his arms out to the side as if hoping for some adulation, but only a portion of the crowd seems to like him, a fairly mixed reaction at best. The reaction picks up a bit as Boyd Saunders comes through the curtain, a bit more positive than negative. At this, Paul turns briefly and with an annoyed look on his face glares at Boyd, who just shrugs and then beems at the crowd once his brother continues their way to the ring.

Alan Ducard: Maybe a bit of a sibling rivalry there between Boyd and Paul Jr...

Jimmy Yates: I'd venture to say that only goes one way, Al.

Bryan Harris: If you're blaming Paul Jr for being miffed that he isn't getting the respect he deserves, you can stop that line of thinking, because he's a team player first and foremost, but secondly, he's right. Paul Jr is the best wrestler out of his family, aside from maybe Paul Sr who likely hasn't seen active competition in decades, and the fact that the fans don't latch on to him, even with his abounding charisma, is baffling.

Jimmy Yates: Something's baffling, but I don't think it's that.

When the Saunders Family get to the end of the elevated walkway, Paul Jr leapfrogs the top rope and then Boyd gracefully steps over it. They both walk across the ring, looking up at the championships which are hanging from the rafters before they get to the far corner and begin to prepare.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing second...

The entrance music for the Saunders Family is replaced with "Fear" by Disturbed, and the crowd immediately jumps to their feet, with almost everyone in the arena cheering as "Logan's Guns" shows up on the LEGACY Vision.

Josephina Colbert: They are two-time LEGACY World Tag Team Champions... "RAGE" Ben Murdock! "VENOM" Steve O'Reily! Accompanied by Trent Logan.... DOM!-IN!-AAAAAATION!!!!!!!!

Steve O'Reily bursts through the curtain first, getting a big pop from the crowd, followed by a more subdued and intense Ben Murdock. The duo make their way out to the edge of the entrance walkway, as if standing guard, and Trent Logan comes out from the back, getting another decent little pop from the crowd.

Alan Ducard: One of the best managers in the world right there, folks, Trent Logan. He has been with Domination since day one, and it would be fair to say that he is deserving of a fair amount of praise over the success by RAGE and VENOM.

Bryan Harris: I'll say. The group only has about a dozen working brain cells between the three of them, and I'd say Logan accounts for at least 9 of them.

Jimmy Yates: Say what you will, but the proof is in the pudding with the success they've had, both here and internationally!

Each of the two wrestlers hop up onto the middle turnbuckle, having made their way across the entrance walkway, and throw their fists into the air. From the entrance stage, Trent Logan claps along.

Alan Ducard: Unlike other matches, Trent Logan is not able to be at ringside for this contest.

Bryan Harris: Oh I wish he could be. With all the carnage possible in this match, we could've possibly seen Trent Logan take a ladder to the head, maybe do a little more than just mess up his pretty boy hair!

Jimmy Yates: I don't know what you have against Trent Logan, but you better hope Domination didn't hear you say that.

With Domination now joining the Saunders Family in the ring, Josephina Colbert pipes up again, this time from outside the ring.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing third...

"On to the Next One" by Jay-Z hits the speakers and as the velvet rope starts appearing on the LEGACY Vision, the boos kick in. Sauntering out from the back is Adam Davis, cool as a cucumber, followed shortly thereafter by Ledge, who is sneering at the fans at the edge of the entrance stage who boo them.

Bryan Harris: I'm calling it now, these guys are walking out of here with the World Tag Team Championships.

Alan Ducard: If they do, that will be three of the four members in their group holding championships.

Josephina Colbert: They were finalists in the Glimmer of Hope Tag Team Championship Tournament.... they are one of the most destructive and productive teams in LEGACY today... Ledge.... "Iceman" Adam Davis... They are the V.I.P.!!!!

Jimmy Yates: Come on, Al, you aren't really considering Gryffin Anselm a member of VIP, are you? It's only a matter of time before they get tired of making fun of him and having him do their dirty work and they kick him to the curb!

When VIP get to the ring apron, they hop down off the entrance walkway, each guy heading to a different side of the ring, headed straight for a ladder. Folding up the climbing instruments, they both fling a ladder into the ring over the top rope, sending the mildly unsuspecting competitors in the ring scattering, trying not to get hit. Ledge immediately rushes around the other side of the ring and grabs another ladder, folding it up. While he has their attention, Adam Davis runs around to the side with the entrance walkway, hops up onto the apron and starts climbing the turnbuckle.

Alan Ducard: VIP not wasting ANY time in getting things going!

Jimmy Yates: How disrespectful is this to Tres Bien, the tag team champions who don't even get a proper introduction now!

VIP's Jay-Z theme song fades under and someone in the back has the presence of mind to play "39GalaxyZ" by SuG, and Tres Bien wastes no time in rushing out from the back and hopping into the ring, where Adam Davis has already taken down Ben Murdock with a missile dropkick, sending him crashing into the leg of Boyd Saunders, toppling him down to a knee. As Maya and Shinya go right after "Iceman", Paul Saunders Jr rushes over and starts hammering away at VENOM Steve O'Reily with a forearm to the side of the face, and then a kick to the gut, then a hard right hand. He goes for an irish whip, but VENOM plants his feet and reverses it, sending Junior hard into the corner chest first. As he stumbles backwards, Junior is grabbed by VENOM and thrown backwards with a belly to back release suplex, sending him crashing into Shinya.

Before Maya can even realize what's happening with Junior knocking into his tag team partner, the tag team champion is drilled in the ribs with a ladder from the outside, with Ledge sending it through the ropes. With one end of the ladder on the mat and the other end see-sawed up in the air outside the ring, Ledge jumps up and grabs the high point of the ladder, bringing it down, sending the part inside the ring UP with the see-saw lever action, drilling Maya in the face and knocking him to the mat.

Bryan Harris: Now THIS is the carnage I was talking about!

Alan Ducard: I wouldn't be surprised if Maya gets up from the mat bleeding.

As Ledge tries to decide what to do next with the ladder, Boyd gets up and shoves the ladder back through the ropes, shoving Ledge down on the ground with it. Boyd then looks over and grabs Steve O'Reily, who was looking to attack either Shinya or Junior, turns him around and gives him a HUGE palm strike to the chest. VENOM stumbles back a step, then fires in with a hard right hand to the face which causes Boyd to reel back, though his feet don't move. Steve then fires in with a kick to the leg of Boyd which definitely finds its mark, judging by the look on Boyd's face, but before VENOM can follow it up with another attack, Paul Jr rushes in and clotheslines O'Reily up and over the top rope, sending him crashing down to the outside.

Jimmy Yates: Gotta love brothers sticking up for one another!

Boyd moves over and picks up a ladder someone else put into the ring. Finding the mid-point, Boyd puts it over his head, then looks around and finds the members of Tres Bien. Rushing in, Big Boyd tries to use the ladder to clothesline Maya and Shinya, but at the last second they duck, and then they dropkick Boyd in the back, sending him stumbling into the corner. Both members of Tres Bien rush into the corner and Maya does a springboard to hop up onto the ladder bridge Boyd has around his neck, whereas Shinya just puts his hands on it and pulls his legs up, kicking Boyd in the ass on the way up.

Alan Ducard: Incredible agility shown there by the World Tag Team Champions.

Bryan Harris: They're going to need something good here if they want to survive against a guy who outweighs both of them combined!

Shinya immediately turns and attempts a dropkick directed at RAGE, but Ben Murdock sidesteps it, letting Shinya crash down to the mat. When Shinya tries to get back to his feet, RAGE dives in and turns him inside out with a clothesline. Meanwhile Maya grabs the ladder, puts his feet into the top rope and pushes off, riding it down to the mat and pulling Boyd down with it like a bulldog. Maya then grabs the ladder, takes it off of Boyd's head and tosses it aside.

Jimmy Yates: That good enough for you, Bry?

Bryan Harris: The bulldog was a nice takedown, but throwing the ladder aside? Not too bright, is he?

Ben Murdock sets his sights on Adam Davis. Before RAGE gets there, Iceman sees him and drills him with a right hand, rocking the Domination member back. Murdock doesn't let that slow his resolve, and he fires in with a punch. Adam Davis retaliates with a kick, and then rushes off towards the ropes. On the rebound, Davis takes RAGE down with a dropkick to the chest. As Ben Murdock forces himself up off the mat, Adam Davis grabs him by the wrist and sends him across the ring with an irish whip. Davis poises himself for a follow-up attack, but Murdock hooks his arms over the top rope, stopping his momentum. Iceman rushes in and goes for a clothesline, but RAGE drops down, holding onto the top rope as he goes, sending Adam Davis stumbling out to the arena floor below.

Alan Ducard: Quick thinking there by Ben Murdock to send The Iceman out of the ring!

Bryan Harris: I don't know if "thinking" is the term you want to use with that neanderthal. More like a survival "instinct"!

After having thrown aside the ladder Boyd was using, Maya kicks the big man in the leg a few times. Looking to help his brother, Paul Jr moves in and grabs Maya, and hammers him, spinning him around. After rocking the Tres Bien member with a couple more shots, Paul grabs Maya by the shoulders, then hops up, putting his feet onto Maya's knees and pulling backwards, sending Maya flipping over, right into the top turnbuckle, back first. Maya crashes down onto the mat awkwardly.

Jimmy Yates: OUCH!

Bryan Harris: Don't worry, Yates, Maya and Shinya already had the medical team notified that they're going to need a few extra ice packs after the match.

Outside the ring, Ledge walks around and helps Adam Davis up to his feet, and after the two guys have a brief discussion, Ledge peels back the apron cover and Iceman reaches under the ring and pulls a table out from underneath it with a smirk on his face.

Alan Ducard: I'm not certain I like where this is going...

Bryan Harris: Well when the time comes, just shut your eyes and mouth and it'll be all good!

Inside the ring, the members of the Saunders family put their remaining opponents on the mat and then find themselves standing alone in the middle of the ring. Boyd Saunders points out the fact to his brother, and then makes a suggestion. Paul Jr's eyes go wide and he shakes his head, but Boyd smiles and nods and then locks his fingers together and puts the cradle out in front of him and waits. Junior takes a deep breath, then looks up at the championship belts above them. Putting his foot up onto the hand-in-hand cradle, Paul nods at Boyd and then looks up and Boyd shoots him skyward.

Jimmy Yates: Saunders LEAP!!!!

Alan Ducard: An innovative way for the Saunders to go after the championship belt, and I do believe they hinted at the fact that they were going to try such a thing!

Reaching out his hands, Paul Jr just BARELY grabs onto one of the tag team championships, and the fans cheer. Looking somewhat surprised at his success, Junior Saunders tries to figure out his situation, and then begins trying to unhook one of the belts. After getting one of the snaps undone on one of the belts, Junior loses his grip and falls to the mat empty handed.

Bryan Harris: And THAT is why the use of the ladder is recommended!

Sensing an opportunity, VIP slides back into the ring and get right back into the fray, going right after Boyd Saunders. After dropping him to a knee, Ledge and Adam Davis hook Boyd's head in their arm and then hoist him up off the mat and just barely hit a vertical suplex, putting the big man on his back.

Alan Ducard: Incredible teamwork there by the V.I.P., as lifting Boyd Saunders like that is no small feat!

When Paul Junior gets up off the mat, he goes to try to help his brother, but Ledge cuts him off and levels him with a Polish Hammer, then picks him up and throws Paul out of the ring. Ledge then decides to follow it up and he exits through the ropes and goes outside to get after the Saunders Family member.

Before Adam Davis can do any extra damage to Boyd Saunders, Shinya moves in and starts kicking him, getting Iceman's attention. Davis blocks a kick then grabs Shinya's arm and goes for an irish whip, and on the return Davis goes for a clothesline, but Shinya ducks underneath it, only to be chopped down by Boyd Saunders. Big Boyd then reaches out and grabs Adam Davis by the throat, backs up a step, hoists Iceman up off the mat, turns and tosses him over the top rope through the table outside.

Jimmy Yates: I guess maybe VIP are going to regret setting that table up!

Shinya gets up and sees the carnage, and he immediately starts kicking Boyd. Trying to get a different angle, Shinya moves over quickly to the corner, hops up onto the second turnbuckle, puts one foot up onto the top rope and spins around, going for a kick to Boyd's head, but Saunders blocks the leg, sending Shinya down to the mat hard. Boyd grabs Shinya by the arm and stards to send him across the ring with an irish whip, then thinks better of it and he pulls Shinya back in towards the near corner, sending him chest-first into the corner hard enough that it causes the Tres Bien member to flip up and over the top rope, crashing down to the arena floor below.

Outside the ring, Ledge continues hammering on Paul Jr, then grabs him by the wrist and looks to send him with an irish whip into the steel steps, but Junior blocks it by shifting his feet, pulls Ledge in and hits a headbutt. Both guys take damage from the headbutt, but Junior grabs his opponent, pulls him in and sends a knee to his gut. Saunders then grabs Ledge by the head and forcibly doubles him over, then sends a knee to his gut, followed up with a knee to the head that sends Ledge over backwards, down onto the arena floor.

Alan Ducard: There might be some fight left in Paul Jr. afterall!

When Paul Jr turns around, he goes wide eyed as Maya rushes in his direction, leaps and connects full with a pushing dropkick to his chest, sending the Saunders Family member backwards, rolling awkwardly into the steel guardrail. Maya then gets up, energized by the fans around him, and reaches down and picks up a ladder and begins setting it up.

Inside the ring, Steve O'Reily sends a forearm shot to the side of Boyd Saunders' head, then scoops him up off the mat just enough to hit a backbreaker. Ben Murdock quickly follows in with a running fist drop that connects to the side of Boyd's head, shaking him up.

VENOM and RAGE work together and are able to hoist Boyd Saunders up off the mat. Once he's on his feet, dazed and out of sorts, Boyd is held there by O'Reily as Murdock heads out onto the apron, moving as quickly as he can up the turnbuckles.

Jimmy Yates: They couldn't be going for the Total Domination, could they...?!

Bryan Harris: No way, Boyd is WAY too big to be hoisted up for a powerbomb!

When Rage gets to the top turnbuckle, he shouts something and Venom strains, then lifts Boyd up off the mat, as if to go for an inverted atomic drop, and Rage LEAPS off the top rope, clotheslining Boyd backwards down onto the mat.

Alan Ducard: It's not Total Domination, but it's certainly close! Rage and Venom using their smarts to come up with an alternative!

On the outside of the ring, Maya climbs up to the top of a ladder, just barely taller than the top rope, and when Steve O'Reily gets up from the mat and pumps his fist after the move, Maya leaps off the top of the ladder and dropkicks Venom in the chest, sending him backwards and down to the mat, rolling out of the ring under the bottom rope.

Jimmy Yates: Great move by Maya to get himself back in this match!

Bryan Harris: Yeah, but now factor into it that he landed awkwardly and isn't able to get back up!

When RAGE gets to his feet and shakes off the affects of having just executed a top rope clothesline, he finds his partner is now out of the ring and spots Maya nearby. Before Ben can act, he's grabbed from the side by Paul Saunders Junior, who shoves Murdock's head forward into his leaping knees, then the moment Junior's feet hit the mat he uses Rage's backwards momentum to hit a Side Russian Legsweep.

Alan Ducard: ROTC Dropout executed by Paul Saunders Jr, and I believe now both members of Domination are taken out!

Jimmy Yates: Watch your back Paul!!

Charging in from behind, Ledge clotheslines Paul Jr with the aid of a ladder, the force knocking Junior out cold. Ledge smirks as he sees his dirty work, then begins to setup the ladder. Shinya gets up from the arena floor on the outside and crawls into the ring under the bottom rope, moving as quickly as he can over to the ladder, which Ledge is now starting to climb.

Bryan Harris: It's only a matter of time now before the VIP are champs!

Maya gets to his feet and grabs Ledge by the leg and locks his arms around the V.I.P. member's knee, not letting him climb any further. Getting up from the mat, Boyd Saunders is able to only get to a kneeling position, but he sees what's going on and grabs onto Shinya's foot and starts tugging. Suddenly Shinya loses balance and slips down the ladder, hitting the mat. This jostles the ladder enough that Ledge also drops down a couple rungs, but Maya also loses grip on Ledge's leg. With his appendage now free, Ledge stomps down into Maya's chest, forcing him down to the mat.

Boyd reaches out and grabs Shinya by the neck as he starts to stand, and Saunders uses his other arm to knock out the legs of the Tres Bien member, executing something of a chokeslam in the process. Having freed himself, Ledge continues to climb the ladder. Maya collects himself and starts to go after Ledge, but from underneath the bottom rope, Adam Davis is just barely able to reach Maya's leg and pulls him backwards, back away from the ladder, down to the mat, and then completely pulls him out of the ring.

Alan Ducard: Things are certainly looking promising for Ledge at present, but can he ascend the remainder of the way?

Shaking some of the cobwebs loose, Boyd turns his focus to the ladder and reaches out for it, but Steve O'Reily gets back into the ring and hits a double axhandle smash onto Boyd. When Saunders tries to get back up, VENOM locks in a front facelock, keeping Boyd on the mat.

Jimmy Yates: Wait, why isn't Steve going after Ledge?!

Alan Ducard: I don't think he saw him! In fact, I'm positive he didn't notice that Ledge was halfway up the ladder. He got up, saw Boyd going for the ladder, didn't even think to look who might be on the other side, and he just started in on Boyd to keep the big man from climbing!

With two of his opponents fighting down on the mat, Ledge takes the final few rungs of the ladder, reaches up and unhooks one of the tag team championship belts, then tries his best to get the other one, as both are required to win the match, and suddenly the camera flips over to show Trent Logan rushing out from backstage.

Bryan Harris: It's too late, Logan!

Jimmy Yates: Maybe not!

Getting to the edge of the ring, Trent Logan starts yelling at Steve O'Reily to look up, but by the time VENOM notices that Ledge is atop the ladder, it is, in fact, too late, and Ledge is beaming ear to ear, having just secured the second championship. With one over each shoulder, Ledge hops down off the ladder, collapsing onto the mat, with the sound of victory ringing through his ears. As Trent Logan sighs and drops his head, Josephina Colbert makes her announcement.

Josephina Colbert: Here are your winners.... and NEW Tag Team Champions of the Woooooooorld..... LEDGE! Adam DAVIS! The V.I.P.!!!!

The camera shows Iceman, holding onto the apron, looking into the ring at Ledge, shocked and elated.

Jimmy Yates: I can't believe what I'm seeing! After all of this... even with the odds stacked against them, THOSE TWO are the World Tag Team Champions?!

Bryan Harris: HA HA!! Believe it, Yates! A new era is officially being started here in LEGACY!

Steve O'Reily and Trent Logan exit the ring, attending to Ben Murdock, who just got back to his feet on the opposite side of the ring from where Adam Davis is. The camera then shows that Paul Saunders Jr has crawled over to where his brother is laying exhausted on the mat. Junior is still holding the back of his head, from which a little blood is still trickling.

Alan Ducard: Well yet again the Four-Way Tag Team Ladder Match here at Destined For Greatness has greatly delivered, and for one reason or another, something tells me this outcome will not be forgotten for a long, long time.

No Limits Championship Match
Patrick Kidd vs Frank Garvin (c)

Alan Ducard: Up next is the No Limits title match. Things have been building to a head between Garvin and Kidd for the past few weeks. Kidd has been in many wars over the year and he has told Garvin that there is more to No Limits than hardcore. Tonight we will find out how far they will go to show they have no limits.

The lights go out and a voice is heard from the speakers.

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Bryan Harris: What the hell is going on can't we hire a decent sound crew who can get the entrance music right?

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

The crowd cheers as a crimson spotlight shines up in the balcony seats, and we see someone making their way down through the crowd towards the ring.

Beaten, why for (why for)
Can't take much more
Here we go here we go here we go, now

One, nothing wrong with me
Two, nothing wrong with me
Three, nothing wrong with me
Four, nothing wrong with me

The spotlights follows the person heading towards the ring and we see that it is Patrick Kidd not in his usual wrestling attire.

One, something's got to give
Two, something's got to give
Three, something's got to give
Now!

The crowd goes nuts as Kidd hops the guardrail and we see he is wearing an Atalanta Chosen hockey jersey with the name Stanton printed across the shoulders. A single strand of hair dangling in front of his left eye is dyed dark red.

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Jimmy Yates: Kidd paying homage to his past not only coming out to his old theme music from when he first made it big in the wrestling business here in Atlanta, but also wearing a jersey of the local hockey team a feeder team for the Atlanta Thrashers.

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Now!

The lights come back on as Kidd takes off the jersey and tosses as a group of fans scramble for it , a kid crawls out from between the legs of the mob and a nearby security guard makes sure no one takes his memento. Kidd goes to his corner and awaits his opponent.

Alan Ducard: There are trash cans full of various weapons at ringside, but Kidd isn't looking at any of it he is just starring at the entrance awaiting his opponent.

Lights go out again out, arena darkened. Lights back on, flicker, then quickly fade. Strobe effect begins from the four corners of the ring once per second and then "Into the Dead Sky" by At The Gates begins its eerie melody. A plain yellow face appears on the Legacy Vision jumbotron, its mouth straight, showing no emotion. The screen turns yellow and the face turns black as a red hole appears in the middle of the face's forehead, and as a piece of silvery duct tape appears on the mouth, the corners curl up into a smile.

Jimmy Yates: I don't know if that's new or whether I've just never noticed it before, but that jumbotron animation is twisted.

Alan Ducard: I'm not sure that Frank Garvin has ever been known as a conventional individual, so I'm not surprised that anything he's connected to might be out of the ordinary.

The strobe effect then starts up through the grates of the metal entrance walkway shining towards the rafters, and Frank Garvin makes his way through the curtain. His attire consists of nothing more than corduroy pants, duct tape holding shut holes in both of the legs. Around his waist, the No Limits Championship, hanging loosely on his slender frame. Each wrist is wrapped in duct tape, with the rest of the roll dangling downwards from his arms, swinging loosely.

Bryan Harris: I hope Kidd sees those rolls of duct tape and realizes that Garvin' ain't plannin' on using them to fix his pants if he gets another hole in them. Frank has some serious plans in mind, you can bet on that, and by the end of this match, Kidd's going to see just what a deranged man can do with a roll of duct tape or two.

Alan Ducard: And you'd have to think that he probably ensured that a few more rolls were placed underneath the ring prior to the match for access, just in case he runs out of what he's bringing to the ring.

Garvin stares across the ring at Kidd and Josephina Colbert takes a step back as to not be standing in between them as she makes the introductions.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing first the challenger from Patterson, New Jersey.... Patrick...

Josephina stops and pauses for a moment before restarting.

Joesphina Colbert: Introducing first the challenger returning home to Atlanta, Georgia, CRIMSON KIDD!

This announcement gets a huge pop from the crowd, but Garvin just continues to stare at Kidd.

Josephina Colbert: His opponent is the LEGACY No Limits Champion, FRANK GARVIN! The crowd boos loudly and Josephina quickly exits the ring as the ref raises the No Limits title to show off to the crowd then show sit to Kidd who nods. The ref then steps out onto the apron to hand the belt to the time keeper and calls for the bell. While he does this Garvin stalks to the center of the ring and Kidd meets him there and the two stare down.

Alan Ducard: We start this match with a stare down.

Bryan Harris: Garvin is literally starring down at Kidd. He is nine inches taller and has over a hundred pounds on Kidd.

Jimmy Yates: Garvin definitely has a size advantage, but this isn't the first time Kidd has been David to his opponents Goliath.

Kidd steps back and runs full force at Garvin with a shoulder tackle, but barely knocks the big man back a step. Kidd attempts the shoulder tackle again with similar results. He goes for a third attempt, but this time as he charges froward right before he gets to Garvin he drops backwards and sends both of his feet into the side of Garvin's knee cap causing him to stumble forward. Kidd quickly grabs Garvin around the neck and starts to run up the corner turnbuckles looking for the sliced bread #2, but Garvin grabs Kidd by the seat of his pants and tosses him out of the ring where he lands on one of the trash cans filled with various weapons of destruction.

Garvin looks down at Kidd and then starts removing the turnbuckle pad in the corner he is standing. Kidd starts to get to his feet and slides into the ring as he stands up he is met with a boot to the jaw from Garvin. Garvin then grabs Kidd by the throat and lifts him into the air choking him. Kidd holds onto Garvin's wrists and flails his legs eventually delivering a successful kick to Garvin's gut annoying him enough to toss Kidd across the ring.

Alan Ducard: For the most part Garvin has dominated the opening moments of the match. His size and strength advantage has come into play, but I'm sure Kidd has something up his sleeve.

Bryan Harris: what sleeves? He's not even wearing a shirt, if he was smart he'd smash Garvin in the face with a sledge hammer.

Garvin picked Kidd up and hung him upside down on the turnbuckle in a tree of woe position. After delivering a stump to Kidd's gut he then pulls off a roll of duct tape and wraps it around Kidd's legs securing them to the steel rod between the top turnbuckle and the ring post. Garvin gets a running start and goes to deliver a baseball slide to Kidd's face, but Kidd pulls himself up and Garvin slides out of the ring narrowly missing the ring post. Garvin hops up on the apron and grabs Kidd around the neck and jumps down to ring side the tape around his feet snaps and Kidd falls to the ring side floor hitting his back on the apron in the process. Garvin grabs a trash can and pulls something out of it and tosses the can aside. Garvin holds a small cloth sack and tosses it into the ring, and then rolled Kidd in. Garvin steps on Kidd's back as he picks up the bag, but Kidd pushes himself up and throws Garvin off balance. Kidd gets to his feet and hops to the center of the middle rope and delivers a back spring elbow to the chest of Garvin knocking the big man off his feet. Kidd picks up the sack that Garvin dropped and then looks around.

Jimmy Yates: I'm not sure what's in that bag, but it seems Kidd is contemplating using it.

Bryan Harris: So much for their being more to No Limits than hardcore.

Alan Ducard: What is Kidd doing, he seems to be tying the bag to the exposed turnbuckle.

Bryan Harris: Really Kidd is in a no limits match and he is worried about fixing the exposed turnbuckle? He really doesn't understand what this division is about does he?

Kidd finishes setting up the replacement turnbuckle and then turns back to Garvin who is starting to get to his feet and delivers a shining wizard kick to the side of the head. Garvin stumbles back to one knee and attempts to stand up. Kidd grabs him by the back of the neck and goes to ram him head first into the replacement turnbuckle, but Garvin puts his foot up on the middle turnbuckle and blocks. he reverses the momentum and sends Kidd face first into the replacement turnbuckle and then does it again for good measure. The camera zooms in on Kidd's face as little trickles of blood slide down his forehead.

Jimmy Yates; I don't know what's in that cloth sack, but it looks to have punctured Kidd's skin.

Garvin whips Kidd across the ring into the opposite corner and then lifts his leg and starts choking Kidd with his boot. Kidd tries to push it away but can't he then starts punching at Garvin's calf muscle until he steps back.

Alan Ducard; Smart move by Kidd. He didn't have the strength to push Garvin's huge foot away so he went with the second best option of attempting to give him a charlie horse and be annoying enough so Garvin would stop.

Garvin steps back and goes to put a big boot in Kidd's face, but he moves out of the way and gets his foot caught on the top rope. Kidd pulls him free and whips him across the ring towards the replacement turnbuckle. As Garvin hits a look of surprise and pain shoots through his face as the bag explodes and tacks go everywhere. The brief grimace turns into a smile as Garvin stumbles out of the corner tacks sticking to his back. Kidd runs and jumps up grabbing Garvin around the neck and uses the momentum to force him face first into the amt with a running bulldog. Kidd rips a roll of duct tape away from Garvin and swings it around his hand before ripping it off and doing the same with the other.

Jimmy Yates: Kidd gives Garvin a taste of his own medicine as he uses duct tape fist to deliver a series or rights and lefts to his opponent.

Bryan Harris: I thought all this talk from Kidd was saying he was going to out wrestle Garvin and defeat him without going hardcore.

Alan Ducard. Kidd never said he wasn't hardcore, he's wrestled tons of these matches. He just said there is more to No Limits then weapons, implying he pals to out think the beast that is Frank Garvin.

After the fourth punch Garvin blocks and hits Kidd with a devastating headbutt Kidd stumbles back, but Garvin follows up on him and lifts him up in the air and hits him with a gorilla press slam. Garvin then grabs the roll of duct tape Kidd had used earlier to tape his hands and now uses it to tape Kidd's arms behind his back. He then slides out of the ring and grabs a chair and slides into the ring just as Kidd is able to get to his feet. Garvin hits Kidd right in the head with the chair and Kidd stumbles backwards, Garvin follows up with a second chair shot and Kidd falls to one knee, the thumbtack punctures now busted wide open and blood flowing down his face.

Garvin steps back and takes a running swing at Kidd's head, but Kidd rolls to the side and takes Garvin down with a drop toe hold sending him face first into the leftover thumb tacks. Kidd rolls out of the ring and makes his way towards the ring steps using the sharp corner of the steel steps to cut the duct tape off his hands.

Jimmy Yates: Kidd using his brain to find a way out of the his duct tape bonds.

Bryan Harris: What's left of it after Garvin turned his brain to pudding. Kidd could have a concussion.

Kidd pulls the duct tape off of his wrists and hands and climbs back into the ring. Garvin pulls a tack out of his eyelid and flicks it towards Kidd. Kidd runs at Garvin and knocks him off his feet with a polish hammer, and follows it up with a fist drop. Kidd then goes up to the top rope and as Garvin gets to his feet Kidd flies at him with a cross body block, but Garvin catches him and slams him across his knee with a back breaker. Garvin reaches into the back pocket of his pants and pulls out a pair of handcuffs. The crowd boos as Garvin handcuffs Kidd's hands behind his back and goes to retrieve the chair again.

Alan Ducard This doesn't look for Kidd. I've seen Kidd make some big comebacks in the past, but he's practically defenseless.

Kidd gets up to his feet and rushes at Garvin, showing that he isn't going to go out without a fight. Kidd jumps and goes for a dropkick, but Garvin swings the chair like a abt knocking Kidd out of the air as he slams the chair into Kidd's surgically replaced knee. Kidd tries to get up to his feet, but Garvin' smashes the chair into his head again.

Jimmy Yates: I know Kidd isn't one to quit, but he may not have any other choice.

Kidd refuses to stay down as the former Crimson Kidd is covered in the proverbial crimson mask. Kidd some how gets to his feet and jsut looks at Garvin as he staggers towards him unwilling to stay down. Garvin swings and levels Kidd with another chair shot to the skull. Kidd crashes to the mat with a thud.

Bryan Harris: Kidd came into this battle thinking he was going to show Garvin what no limits was all about, but it appears that he may have reached his limit.

Kidd is lying in the center of the ring in a puddle of his own blood as Garvin drops the chair. Blood drips down Garvin's chest from the cut in his throat. He reaches down and wipes away some of the blood and flicks it onto the mat.

Alan Ducard: The ref should stop this match, just look at the damage that has been done.

Bryan Harris: This is a No Limits match. Kidd said he was No Limits. He challenged Garvin to come see him if he wanted to see what No Limits was all about, and now Garvin has.

Jimmy Yates: What has Garvin got planned now? He seems to be reaching into his pocket for something.

Garvin reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small metallic key. He reaches down and unlocks the handcuffs. He pulls them off Kidd and tosses them aside. Kidd moves slightly and puts a hand on Garvin's boot then grabs his pant leg.

Alan Ducard: As much as I just want this match to be over I'm not exactly sure taking those handcuffs off of Kidd was the best idea. He's not going to stop until he is unable to move.

Garvin just stands there in the middle of the ring looking down as Kidd uses Garvin's pants to pull himself up. Garvin sends an elbow to Kidd's face and then sets him up for a power bomb. He then lifts him up into the air and slams him in to the mat with the Think Happy Thoughts power bomb. Kidd twitches on the mat and Garvin drops to the mat and the ref gets ready to make the count.

Alan Ducard: Thankfully, this is almost over.

Jimmy Yates: Unfortunately, I don't think so. Garvin isn't going for the pin he is rolling Kidd over on to his stomach.

Bryan Harris: I believe Kidd is about to learn the true meaning of No Limits.

Garvin picks up the chair again. The ref thinks about stopping him, but then thinks twice about confronting Garvin. Garvin stands over Kidd and lifts the chair up into the air upside down then rams the metal headrest portion of the chair straight into Kidd's spin and he starts convulsing as the crowd boos. Garvin raises the chair into the air again...

Bryan Harris: I may be a sick selfish and cruel bastard, but not even I can condone this.

Jimmy Yates: Garvin just drove that chair into Kidd's surgically repaired spine. Kidd returned to wrestling after 18 months of paralysis and and it seems like Garvin is looking to send him back to the wheel chair.

...the chair slams into Kidd's spine a second time.

Alan Ducard: We may be watching the end of Kidd's career. Someone needs to stop this.

Almost as if hearing Ducard the ref decides its best to find a way to put an end to this. Garvin holds the chair high over his head and looks down at Kidd's motionless body. While he does the ref makes a quick 10 count and calls for the bell. Garvin looks over in the direction of the bell confused for a moment as the ref leans out of the ring and tells Josephina something, then back into the ring and throws an X up over his head with his arms.

Josephina Colbert: Your winner by knock out and still LEGACY No Limits Champion, FRANK GARVIN!!!

The crowd boos the announcement loudly.

Alan Ducard: I've never been so happy to see a ref make a fast count.

Jimmy Yates: It doesn't look like Garvin is happy though.

Garvin slams the chair into Kidd's back a third time, and the ref yells at him telling him it's over but Garvin pushes the ref out of the way and drives the chair into Kidd's back one last time before security rushes the ring. Garvin just steps away from Kidd's body without touching the security, but not letting them touch him either as his icy stare stays focused on Kidd's body that is spasming than goes creepily still. Security stands between Garvin and Kidd as EMT's rush down to ringside with a backboard and stretcher and start attending to Kidd. Garvin exits the ring and enters the crowd, they boo him but get out of his way quickly as he leaves ringside. Two ring crew workers loosen the bottom rope of the ring and remove it. The crowd goes silent as the EMT's work on Kidd.

Jimmy Yates: Sorry for our silence fans, but there isn't much words can say in a situation like this. The EMT's are working on Kidd and will be taking him to a near by medical facility and we will update you as soon as we have word on his status either tonight or via the LEGACY website.

The EMT's move Kidd out of the ring where the bottom rope was removed near the elevated entrance ramp. A they make their way towards the back the ring crew goes back to putting the bottom rope back on. Halfway up the ramp the EMT's stop the gurney and we see some sort of movement from Kidd as his right arm slowly starts to rise. After a moment Kidd's right arm is straight up in the air and we see him give a thumbs up as the crowd cheers.

Alan Ducard: A sign of hope from Kidd wanting to let the fans know that he's going to be all right.

Jimmy Yates: Son of a bitch! Not again.

As Kidd lowers his arm someone jumps out of the crowd onto the ramp and wee see that it is Garvin. Before security can get to him he pushes an EMT out of the way and flips over the gurney sending Kidd toppling onto the ramp and Garvin just start stomping on the back of Kidd as the crowd boos and start to throw trash at Garvin. Security pulls Garvin away but he manages to get a few more kicks in before just turning and walking away into the back security following to make sure he doesn't try and return for another attack.

The EMT's go back to attending to Kidd getting him back on the gurney and wheel him into the back towards and awaiting ambulance this time there is no thumbs up from Kidd.

Hawkins Memorial Tournament
Final
Match
Greyson Blade vs
Stephen Rawlings

Alan Ducard: Ladies and gentlemen, our next match is a big one as Stephen Rawlings takes on The Outlaw Greyson Blade in the finals of the Hawkins Memorial Tournament.

Jimmy Yates: Winning the Hawkins Tournament is a huge accomplishment in and of itself, but this year the winner will also receive a shot at the LEGACY World Title, which is something both of these competitors have been gunning for in LEGACY for quite some time.

Bryan Harris: Let's not forget the personal bent to all of this too. Stephen Rawlings is the ninja. He's been toying with Blade, humiliating him for months, and we all know Greyson will be out for revenge, and it's those emotions that could cost him big time in this match against the Technically Perfect Stephen Rawlings.

Alan Ducard: Well gents its two of LEGACY's most decorated superstars going at each other with some of the highest stakes you will ever see in this business - it's about honor, gold, and perhaps some revenge here tonight at Destined for Greatness and it's time to get this one started.

"Points of Authority" by Linkin Park hits, and the crowd begins hurling its hate at the approaching Stephen Rawlings. Rawlings remains unflappable in the face of this particularly venomous reaction. His focus is on one thing, winning - and the fans and his opponent be damned. The technical marvel steps into the ring, and moves to the far corner, stretching the ring ropes, gauging the ring conditions for the night.

As Rawlings theme dies out, "Outlaw Torn" hits, and the hostile crowd does a 180 for the arrival of The Outlaw. As much as they may hate Rawlings, they love Greyson even more. It's a particularly favorable crowd for him as well given his early wrestling roots in the area. Blade steps out before the capacity crowd and stops for just a moment at the entranceway before stalking towards the ring, zeroed in on Stephen Rawlings. Upon entering, the official stays close to sort of send a message to Blade that he needed to wait to throw down a beating. Blade takes a position in the near corner, and as his music dies out, Josephina Colbert steps into the ring for the pre-fight introductions.

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen, our next match is the final match of the Hawkins Memorial Tournament, is for a shot at the LEGACY World Title, and it is scheduled for one fall. Introducing to my left, weighing in at 196 pounds, hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, this is Stephen Rawlings!

The crowd reacts as you might guess, and Rawlings merely smirks, and waits for the bell.

Josephina Colbert: And introducing his opponent to my right, weighing in at 290 pounds, hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, this is The Outlaw Greyson Blade.

The crowd gives it up for The Outlaw, and the official moves to the center of the ring as Josephina exits, and a moment later he gives the signal outside the ring they are ready to begin.

The bell sounds, and The Outlaw charges. Rawlings narrowly manages to duck under an opening clothesline, and he tries to take advantage of the opening, firing off a quick chop to the chest, but it has no effect. He fire's off another chop, and The Outlaw is again unfazed. Rawlings' eyes go wide as The Outlaw grabs him with both hands around the neck and tosses him from a little less than mid-ring back into the turnbuckles. Rawlings is about to stagger out from the buckles, but Greyson charges in and drives his shoulder into Stephen's midsection, crushing him in the corner. As the crowd roars its approval, Blade continues his early assault assailing Rawlings with multiple mini-killshots; each shoulder shot seems as if it could break Rawlings in two as he seems to slump over Blade's back with each piston-fired shot. Finally, when Rawlings seems to be putting up no resistance to the impact, The Outlaw backs out of the corner and watches as Rawlings crashes first to his knees and then falls out of the corner.

Jimmy Yates: Blade is too old and too slow, huh Bryan? Looks like if anything The Outlaw is raw power in action here tonight.

Bryan Harris: Rawlings will find his opening, mark my words Jimbo - and when he does, you will see what a wrestler, not a past-his-prime-primate can do.

Alan Ducard: The Outlaw now pulling Rawlings up to his feet by the neck, hooking the arm, and he takes him up into the vertical suplex position, and gents that is truly impressive. You were mentioning that raw power James - he's holding Rawlings vertical as if he were weightless.

The Outlaw actually takes away his second arm, and he points over his shoulder. Forward gets the biggest reaction, and he quickly tosses Rawlings up into the air, still in the vertical position, steps into him as he falls, and drives him down with a massive powerslam finish! The crowd gasps as The Outlaw hooks the leg.

Alan Ducard: What a slam! The Outlaw with the cover.

ONE.

TWO.

TH-NO! Rawlings gets the shoulder off the canvas.

Jimmy Yates: I know he didn't pick up the win, but The Outlaw must have done some serious damage in this early going to get that two-count already.

Bryan Harris: Or he's taking what time he can take to recuperate. Rawlings is a master tactician - don't forget that Jimbo.

The Outlaw gets back to his feet, and he again brings Rawlings up by the neck, and holding him in an inverted facelock, he begins hammering away across Rawlings back with powerful shots, using his arm almost as an officer of the law would use an nightstick.

The Outlaw gets back to his feet, and he again brings Rawlings up by the neck, and holding him in an inverted facelock, he begins hammering away across Rawlings back with powerful shots, bludgeoning him. Having taking just a fraction of his frustration out on Stephen with those clubbing blows, Greyson transitions into a gutwrench and heaves Rawlings up and drives him down into the canvas with a massive gutwrench powerbomb that lays Rawlings out flat in the center of the ring. The Outlaw again makes a cover, pulling Rawlings' legs up tight, almost folding him in half.

Alan Ducard: The Outlaw has that pin cinched tight, and we have a count!

ONE.

TWO.

TH-NO! Rawlings gets his shoulders off the canvas for the second time tonight gents!

Jimmy Yates: I'm truly surprised he kicked out of that move Ducard - The Outlaw is just rocking him.

Bryan Harris: Don't be so surprised Jimbo, Rawlings, as a WRESTLER is in peak physical condition.

The Outlaw rips Rawlings to his feet, and angrily tosses him to the buckles. Rawlings crashes into the corner but manages to keep his feet by holding on to the top rope, and he has just a second to react with Blade charging in after him. However, Rawlings takes that second and be it instinct or just a lucky guess, Stephen ducks and a decapitating clothesline goes over his head. The Outlaw turns, but as he does Rawlings rakes the eyes. The crowd boos as The Outlaw stumbles forward, giving Rawlings an opening. Stephen immediately capitalizes with a wicked kick straight in to the side of the knee which topples The Outlaw almost instantly.

Jimmy Yates: Rawlings is a "wrestler" huh Bryan? I didn't know raking a man's eyes was a wrestling move.

Bryan Harris: Apparently you've never watched any of the tape compilations coming out of Japan - I believe they call that the blinding wizard.

Jimmy Yates: Oh puhlease!

Alan Ducard: Well no matter what you name it, going to the eyes and the knee has Rawlings in control of this match, and there's a stomp to the back of the head as The Outlaw tries to get back to his feet.

Bryan Harris: Look at Rawlings pacing himself here. He's not just kicking into high gear and putting the moves on Blade, he's conserving himself and recuperating.

Alan Ducard: Rawlings now with another kick to the back of the head, slowing Blade's rise back to his feet, and he moves to the second turnbuckle behind Blade and he leaps off, catching The Outlaw by the head and driving him face down on his knee with a second rope face smash!

Bryan Harris: He may have cost that hillbilly his last tooth!

Rawlings quickly goes to the legs, and he lifts up and slams the already targeted knee down on to the canvas. Instinctively, The Outlaw rolls to his back and clutches at the leg, but this is the opening Rawlings wanted, and he rolls Blade up by the legs into the pin. The official drops to make the count as Rawlings pops his feet on the ropes.

Alan Ducard: We've got an active count even with the feet on the ropes!

ONE.

TWO.

TH-NO! The Outlaw manages to kick out in spite of Rawlings tactics.

Jimmy Yates: Rawlings is fine with cheating, but he has the nerve to chastise the heroes of LEGACY?

Bryan Harris: To be fair Jimbo, there's a difference in bending the rules a little and attempted murder.

Jimmy Yates: "Bending" the rules? You would make a hell of a defense attorney Bryan.

Alan Ducard: Rawlings is back on the attack here and he's off the ropes and there's a dropkick to the back of the head and The Outlaw staggers into the ropes. Blade is using the ropes to keep himself upright, but Rawlings goes back on the attack, and there's a chop block, and The Outlaw goes down.

Jimmy Yates: It looks like Greyson landed awkwardly because of having a hold of the ropes when Rawlings took out his legs.

Bryan Harris: I love this change in tactics for Rawlings, he's really showing his adaptability. He's normally a suplex-toss kind of guy, but Blade's size and strength take that away from him. So, to even the odds, Rawlings takes away Blade's base for that strength - his legs.

Rawlings follows up the chop block by quickly dropping an elbow across the back, and then going back to the leg, kicking away at the knee until Blade gets his bearings enough to roll away from the attacks. He tries go push himself up from the mat, but Rawlings jets across the ring with a vicious knee to the head that drops Blade right back to the canvas. Rawlings then comes off the ropes and drives the knee down into the back of Blade's head, and he quickly rolls him over and goes for the pin.

Alan Ducard: The Hawkins Immortal now with another pin attempt, but this one is clean!

ONE

TWO

TH-NO! Greyson brings the shoulder off the canvas gents.

Jimmy Yates: Just in the nick of time too. As tough as Blade is, one has to wonder, how many shots to the head can a guy take before he just goes out?

Bryan Harris: That's like asking how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. I think its more than the owl says at three, but Blade can't take too many more straight up shots like that from Rawlings' knee.

Rawlings kicks away at The Outlaw with some annoyed vigor for not getting the pin attempt to go, and after stomping away, he goes for the legs, wrapping The Outlaw, looking for presumably a figure four leglock, but Blade manages to use his uninjured leg to deliver a rather stunning kick to his adversary that knocks him away and off his feet. The crowd cheers as Rawlings hits the canvas, and The Outlaw rolls to the ropes, trying to get back to his feet. Rawlings sensing the tide turning runs back at Blade, but Greyson launches himself off his good leg, and flattens Rawlings with a big-time lariat!

Jimmy Yates: Somewhere "The Bad Man from Borger Texas" is smiling!

Alan Ducard: Both men are down now with Blade still nursing his knee and Rawlings just has his bell rung.

Bryan Harris: This could have been Blade's opening, but Rawlings could seize it back immediately here.

Alan Ducard: Both men are struggling to get back to their feet here, The Outlaw being cheered on by this capacity crowd.

Rawlings and Blade both manage to get back to a vertical position, Rawlings a bit smoother than Blade, but perhaps just a bit slower after the more recent shot to the head. Stephen charges in at Greyson before he can raise up from a bent over position, but Blade rises out of the way at the last possible moment, sending Rawlings past him to the ropes. Rawlings comes back on the rebound, and he's scooped up by Blade into a quick gorilla press position, marveling the crowd with his strength, and he immediately drops Rawlings from the pressed position down on to his shoulder and into a ring-shaking powerslam!

Alan Ducard: Well gents if there was a question of who was in control of this match, I think it has been answered. The Outlaw now is pushing back to his feet, and I think he's looking to put another hurting on the man who has been been nipping at The Outlaw's heels these past few months.

Bryan Harris: I think humiliating him would be a more apt description Ducard.

Jimmy Yates: Maybe so Bryan, but would you really want to be in Rawlings' shoes then here tonight with Blade gunning for revenge in addition to the Tournament win and a title shot on the line?

The Outlaw grabs Rawlings and sends him diagonally across with ring with a big Irish whip to the buckles. Rawlings staggers out from the buckles right to Greyson who boots him in the midsection. He wraps Rawlings and takes him up for a powerbomb. Rawlings tries to reverse the bomb with a hurricanrana, but The Outlaw manages to keep his feet, and he pulls Rawlings straight up before dropping straight down, delivering and inverted kneeling piledriver, driving Stephen's head into the canvas! Blade then rolls into the pin on Rawlings.

Alan Ducard: The Outlaw with the pin on Rawlings and we could have our winner!

ONE

TWO

THR-NO! Rawlings kicks out!

Jimmy Yates: I can't believe it - The Outlaw dropped him on his head, and Rawlings somehow got the shoulder up.

Bryan Harris: It's about time you gave credit where credit is due Jimbo - Rawlings CAN withstand some serious punishment, and I have no doubt that he will soon be dishing some out.

Greyson comes out of the pin, and pulls Rawlings up and takes him to the turnbuckles, sitting him up top with his back to him. The Outlaw climbs up, the buckles behind him, hooks him, and suplexes him back to the canvas with a top rope belly to back suplex! With Rawlings seemingly motionless on the canvas, The Outlaw eyes up the buckles. He then begins to climb.

Jimmy Yates: We don't see Blade do this often, but he's willing to take the big risks for the big rewards.

Alan Ducard: We are about to see a behemoth of a man take flight gents, and if he connects here this one will be over!

The Outlaw sizes up Rawlings and as the fans gasp, he takes flight, looking to drive an elbow through Rawlings' cowardly heart. However, instead of colliding with his opponent, he meets nothing but canvas as Rawlings manages to roll out of the way at the last instant. Blade meets with a huge impact, and Rawlings wobbles to the ropes across the ring to get some distance, but as Blade tries to roll back to his feet, Rawlings charges at him and hooks the head, and drops down, hitting a stunner-style drop that pops Blade stunned back to a standing position. Rawlings is up, measures him and as Blade turns around, Rawlings steps into a brain-rattling superkick that catches The Outlaw full, and unprotected, driving him back to the canvas with a massive thud as blood begins to stream from his nose and lip.

Bryan Harris: MOMMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT! Daaaaaaaaaaaayum.

Alan Ducard: The Outlaw could indeed be out here Bryan, he's not moving on the canvas in the slightest, and Rawlings knows it.

Rawlings saunters over to Blade, and immediately plants his foot on Blade's chest, and motions for the count.

Jimmy Yates: Oh this is just disgusting ...

Alan Ducard: The ... "cover" ... and I use the term loosely.

ONE

TWO

THREE-NO!

The crowd explodes in cheers as The Outlaw kicks out and Bryan Harris slams the announce table in disgust. Rawlings can't believe Blade kicked out, and he immediately drops and pinning Blade's shoulders down much like he did with the chair, he begins swinging away at The Outlaw, hammering home with punch after punch, each blow drawing a little more blood. Rawlings finally let's up catching his breath, and he goes to the legs, hooks, and ties The Outlaw up in a figure four leg lock. The Outlaw instantly clutches at the canvas in agony as Rawlings applies intense pressure to the knee, straining the limits of what even a fighter can withstand.

Alan Ducard: Rawlings with the figure four leglock, and The Outlaw is in a world of pain.
Bryan Harris: This is Rawlings at his finest, out-smarting, out-wrestling, and just out-doing a slower, less intelligent, and less-skilled fighter. This 200-pound marvel has that monster ready to submit.

Jimmy Yates: I won't deny the agony Blade is experiencing Bryan - believe me there's a reason I didn't want to be in the ring with Rawlings last Strife, but we've seen before just how deep The Outlaw can dig, just how far he can press to keep fighting. I believe, and this crowd believes this one isn't over yet, not with so much on the line for The Outlaw.

Rawlings tells the official to "ask him" but Blade won't yield. He shakes his head defiantly in the negative, and he begins trying to push up on his hands going side to side, slightly alleviating the pain, and trying to build momentum against the pain.

Jimmy Yates: He's trying to turn it. He's trying to turn the hold.

Alan Ducard: That size and power has to count for something James.

Bryan Harris: But how much will does he have left Al?

Blade struggles, and the crowd begins a rousing "Blade" chant as The Outlaw digs down deep and begins to turn, and finally flips the hold over on Rawlings, applying the pain to his opponent before Rawlings can manage to break the hold.

Jimmy Yates: He's free! The title opportunity is still up for grabs!

Bryan Harris: But has the damage been done Jimbo?

Greyson pushes up to his feet on his good leg, and Rawlings charges him, but Blade goes low and flips Rawlings up and over with a big back body drop! Rawlings bounces on the canvas, and gets back to his feet, albeit a fraction slower than before, and he runs back to Blade who hooks him and delivers Blade's own version of The Rock Bottom, driving Rawlings down into the mat! The crowd roars in approval as Greyson pushes himself off the canvas and back to his feet, buying himself time with the move. He then begins stalking Rawlings and as Stephen finally stands, he grabs him by the throat, and heaves him up and drives him down on his good knee with a chokehold inverted atomic drop before heaving him up again and driving him down on his knee with a chokeslam backbreaker!

Alan Ducard: What a backbreaker from The Outlaw! Rawlings is down and The Outlaw makes the cover!

ONE

TWO

THRE-NO! Rawlings gets the shoulder up!

Bryan Harris: Rawlings wants that title shot more than anything, and he's not going to be denied!

Alan Ducard: Now it's The Outlaw turn to be surprised by a kick out. Blade, wiping some of that blood from his nose, is back on the attack, and now he's wailing away on Rawlings, pounding away about his head and face, and now Rawlings has bloody lip of his own.

Jimmy Yates: The Outlaw is to brawling what you say Rawlings is to technical wrestling Bryan. Look at those shots, the power and the placement - he's just beating the hell out of Stephen Rawlings here.

Alan Ducard: Blade has Rawlings, and he's pulling him up and ... there's the Shades of Grey Spinebuster!

Jimmy Yates: He's feeling guys, The Outlaw is building that momentum, bad knee and all. That adrenaline is kicking in and he's feeling no pain now.

The Outlaw pulls Rawlings to his feet, and fires off multiple shots to the face and head while forcing Rawlings to stay standing, and he whips Rawlings to the ropes and on the return he heaves Stephen up into the air, tossing him up and catching him about the shoulders, finishing off with a Samoan Drop finish, completing the The Outlaw Drop.

Jimmy Yates: He hits it! He hit The Outlaw Drop! You know what that means!

Alan Ducard: I know and every fan watching Destined for Greatness knows ...

The Outlaw backs away and zeroes in on his prey. Rawlings has been rocked and battered and now it was time to finish him off. - to put an end to the man who had plagued him for months. This was his time to unleash, and he does, exploding from across the ring.

Bryan Harris: No Stephen .... LOOK OUT!

It's not as if he could actually hear Bryan Harris' exclamations, but Stephen Rawlings knew what was coming, and amazingly, reacted, side stepping and taking The Outlaw down with a wicked drop toe hold, wrenching his injured leg and slamming him face first into the canvas. Rawlings quickly moves in behind Blade and grabs his leg as the crowd explodes into jeers. Rawlings grabs the shin and wraps the leg like a grapevine, and he begins to hyperextend the knee in a cross kneelock!

Alan Ducard: Rawlings with the cross kneelock, and he's got that on tight!

Jimmy Yates: This is not good at all for Blade - Rawlings is just destroying that knee.

Bryan Harris: Yes! Rawlings is going to do it again. He's going to win Hawkins and soon the LEGACY World Title!
The Outlaw claws at the mat, biting down on his bloody lip, fighting the pain. It was if his knee was going to break, and so too would he. Rawlings uses all he has to wrench on the hold, and Blade's struggles begin to slow as the pain begins to take hold. Rawlings can sense Blade fading, and he redoubles his efforts. The official moves in close to The Outlaw asking if him he wants to submit.

Jimmy Yates: Greyson can't give up. His journey back has taken years, and now he's so close, so close to winning Hawkins and earning his shot at the World Title. It can't end now, not like this.

The LEGACY fans begin another "Blade" chant, trying to will The Outlaw on, to push him further. The Outlaw looks at the official, and shakes his head no, and he begins to push ... to struggle, dragging himself and Rawlings to the ropes, and after what seems like an eternity, his massive fist wraps around the bottom rope! The fans cheers in absolute approval as Rawlings is forced to break the hold. Rawlings won't release, and the official begins a five count which Rawlings breaks at the very last possible instant, drawing admonishment from the official and the fans. The Outlaw tries to rise as quickly as he can, but Rawlings is there to meet him, and he leaps up plants his knees and falls back, going for the knockout blow on The Outlaw with a codebreaker (double knee facebreaker)!

Alan Ducard: Rawlings with the knees to the face, and now he's going for the cover! Rawlings hooks the leg!

ONE

THREE-NO! - He kicks out! The Outlaw kicks out!

Jimmy Yates: Rawlings is going crazy! He's pulling Blade back to his feet, and there's a kick to the gut, Blade is doubled over ... Rawlings off the ropes looking for that leg drop bulldog (fameasser)! Blade comes up and flips Rawlings off him! Rawlings lands on his feet, and goes for another superkick, and The Outlaw dodges! He hooks him an ... OUTLAW SLAM (Angle Slam)! He caught him!

Blade comes up, and hooks Rawlings, scooping him up and he hits a second Outlaw Slam, and he hooks the leg.

Alan Ducard: ANOTHER slam from The Outlaw and he hooks the leg!

ONE

TWO

THREE-NO! - Rawlings kicks out, and The Outlaw is livid! He pulls Rawlings back to his feet, he's taking him for a third slam - Rawlings goes down the back! Rawlings goes for the leg and Blade spins around right into a low blow!

Jimmy Yates: The official couldn't see it and here comes Rawlings .... LEGDROP BULLDOG! RAWLINGS CONNECTS! BLADE IS DOWN! NO!

Bryan Harris: HE'S MAKING THE COVER! YES!

ONE

THREE-NO! HOW?

Jimmy Yates: THE OUTLAW KICKS OUT! HE KICKED OUT!

Alan Ducard: Rawlings is in disbelief, and he's heading to the turnbuckles as Blade rolls on the canvas.

Jimmy Yates: He's going for the top rope for another one. This is how he took Blade out last Strife, and now he's defenseless!

The angry crowd let's Rawlings know just how reviled he is as he climbs the buckles, zeroing in on Blade. As Greyson struggles to his feet, Rawlings times him, and leaps - for all the glory and prospects of gold and to crush the legend of The Outlaw. It was all within his grasp, and suddenly .... it was all taken away as his target changed position and Rawlings slammed into the canvas.

Jimmy Yates: HE MISSES! RAWLINGS IS DOWN!

Alan Ducard: The Outlaw grabs Rawlings into a standing headscissors, and he's going up ... TURNBUCKLE POWERBOMB! Rawlings' head went right into the buckle. He's staggering out ....

With all of the reserves he has left, The Outlaw explodes towards a staggered Rawlings ...

Alan Ducard: KILLSHOT!

Jimmy Yates: HE BREAKS RAWLINGS IN TWO!

Bryan Harris: NO! NO! NO!

Alan Ducard: The cover!

ONE

THREE! - He got him!

The crowd roars as the official signals for the bell, and Josephina Colbert makes the announcement.

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and gentlemen your winner and 2010 Hawkins Memorial Winner .... THE OUTLAW ... GREYSON BLAAAAAAAADE!

The Outlaw rolls from Stephen Rawlings and still favoring his knee he stands, and has his hand raised by the official as the crowd in Atlanta, gives the victorious Greyson Blade an incredible ovation. Bryan Harris sits with arms crossed in annoyance as Alan and Jimmy join in the moment.

Alan Ducard: What an effort and what a match we have just witnessed.

Jimmy Yates: How fitting too that Greyson Blade claim this victory here tonight in Atlanta, where it all started for him all those years ago in the DIWF? In front of his first fans he brings home the tournament victory and claims his shot at the LEGACY World Title.

The Outlaw stands almost humbled and moved by the moment, and he raises both arms to the fans in genuine appreciation of their respect. Greyson points to the capacity crowd then and finally, bloodied and battered, takes his leave amidst the cheers.

Alan Ducard: The question is who will be champion when he takes that opportunity. X-Calibur or CrazyBoy - you won't want to miss a second as Destined for Greatness continues.

World Championship Match
X-Calibur vs Crazy Boy (c)

The lights in the arena go down and then spotlights from each of the four corner turnbuckles shine up at the rafters, and spotlights from the four corners of the arena blast open down into the ring where Josephina Colbert is standing, microphone in hand.

Josephina Colbert: Ladies and Gentlemen, the culmination of the 2010 Destined For Greatness is at hand, as this is the Main Event...

She pauses briefly and smiles...

Josephina Colbert: And this match is for the LEGACY Wooooorld Championship!!

The fans go wild with cheers and clapping, as the night has come down to this - a huge part of the reason they bought tickets.

Josephina Colbert: Introducing first, the challenger....

The lights take their focus off of Josephina and go dark as the LEGACY Vision starts fading in from black with some clips from X-Calibur's tenure in LEGACY as "Change (in the house of flies)" by The Deftones starts its eerie beginning, and the fans begin to boo.

Bryan Harris: Whether these fans appreciate him or not, X-Calibur is the reason they're looking forward to this match, not Crazy Boy.

Alan Ducard: Consider their talents as you will, but Crazy Boy is the champion going into this match, not X-...

Bryan Harris: Yeah, yeah, I was there at Glimmer Of Hope, I know who has the belt. But in the scheme of things, with this being the top event of the year, the biggest pay per view on the calendar, and there's no way this main event would be as high profile as it is tonight without a top challenger, and when it's all done, you're going to realize that this spotlight was too bright for Crazy Boy - as X-Calibur walks out of this match with the World Championship.

Jimmy Yates: There's a problem with that, Bry...

Though the song had progressed through about 25 seconds, the challenger had yet to walk through the curtain. The booing fades, and so does the music. The camera shows that Klinton Porter gets into the ring and says something to Josephina Colbert, and as a spotlight shines down onto her, you can see her roll her eyes.

Josephina Colbert: Now introducing the man who won the 2010 Glimmer of Hope Co-Op Challenge...

Amidst the confusion running rampant through the crowd, "Down and Out" by Tantric hits the speakers and the LEGACY Vision lights up with the image of Crazy Boy holding the World Championship.

Josephina Colbert: He is YOUR LEGACY WOOOOOORLD Champion... Crrrrrrrrrrrazyyyyyyy.... BOY!!!

The spotlights from the corners of the arena all swing down and hit the entrance curtain just as Crazy Boy steps out. He's wearing an artistically enhanced version of his ring attire tights, and his new Crazy Boy signature shirt. Around his waist is the gold belt atop the wrestling world in terms of prestige.

Alan Ducard: I'm getting word in my ear... this match is still going to take place... X-Calibur REFUSED to be the first person to make his entrance.

Bryan Harris: And why SHOULD he be?! X-Calibur is one of the top two superstars this organization has ever seen, and on the biggest show of the year, he shouldn't have to wait inside the ring and watch someone else parade around as champion.

Unphased by the fact that he has to be the first person to walk to the ring, Crazy Boy simply makes his way across the elevated entrance walkway, reaching down to the out-stretched hands of a few of the zealous fans hoping to get some small connection to the champion.

Jimmy Yates: Say what you want about him, I think Crazy Boy is a great champion. He's a great competitor who never gives up, he has beaten some great opponents, and he has the full support of the fans. What more could you want?

Bryan Harris: He's just too goofy to be taken seriously, and the fact that his luck is carrying him as of late is going to become very obvious here tonight as he gets his ass handed to him and the title taken, courtesy of eVw.

Climbing directly up onto the turnbuckles as he gets to the apron, Crazy Boy throws a fist into the air, the spotlight now shining up from the arena floor. Hopping over the top rope, Crazy Boy enters the ring, walking to the far corner, taking off his shirt and climbing that turnbuckle before launching it out into the crowd.

Getting down off the turnbuckle, Crazy Boy turns to the middle of the ring and he takes off the World Championship belt and hoists it into the air, the fans cheering for the act, and then Crazy Boy hands the belt over to referee Klinton Porter.

Alan Ducard: Crazy Boy looking intently on that belt, and for as much as the fans want him to retain it, I think Crazy Boy knows that it's a real possibility that he's not going to be able to overcome the challenge of former two-time LEGACY World Champion X-Calibur here tonight.

Bryan Harris: He's smarter than I give him credit for!

Shaking her head and saying something low to Klinton Porter, Josephina Colbert gets back on the microphone.

Josephina Colbert: Now introducing the challenger.... again....

The Deftones song strikes up and the booing immediately rains in from all the corners of the arena with the LEGACY Vision kicking up.

Josephina Colbert: He is a two-time FORMER World Champion and seeks to regain it tonight... he is X-Calibur!!!!!

Walking out through the curtain with the spotlights on him is the challenger, a smirk on his face. As he looks towards the ring, X points in the direction of his opponent and then shakes his finger and mouths the words "he's a fluke!" as he stands at the edge of the entrance walkway.

Bryan Harris: My thoughts exactly, Eryk! I've been telling the people, and they're not listening, but you show them right here, right now!

Jimmy Yates: Give me a break...

Unbuttoning his black silk shirt, X-Calibur just waits at the edge of the stage as his music plays, and once his shirt is completely unbuttoned, he slowly takes one arm out of it, followed by the other, and then holds it out to the side while Anastasia Ewing rushes out, grabs the shirt, then rushes back through the curtain. Then, and only then, does X-Calibur make his way to the ring.

When X-Calibur gets into the ring, the lights come back up and the challenger immediately walks over to Klinton Porter, looking down at the championship, and then he turns his attention to Crazy Boy and says (just loud enough for the ringside cameras to catch it) "This is your last chance to just hand it over to me...", and that isn't taken well, as Crazy Boy rushes in and drills X-Calibur with a hard right hand, knocking him back, and the flurry is on. Crazy Boy follows it up immediately with another right hand, then a left, backing X-Calibur up into the corner. Klinton Porter calls for the bell, and X-Calibur ducks underneath the top rope, getting his abdomen outside the confines of the ropes, so Porter is forced to split the two apart.

Bryan Harris: Good call, X! I don't know what that moron is thinking, but this isn't how champions start off the biggest match of their career!

Jimmy Yates: I suppose you were hoping for some more pomp and circumstance? There's no reason for all that. Not here, not now, not with these two guys.

As Crazy Boy gets backed up a few steps, X-Calibur exits out onto the apron and composes himself, and Crazy Boy rushes in again. He lands a hard right into X's face, but then X grabs him around the neck and drops straight down off the apron, pulling Crazy Boy's neck across the top rope and then propelling him backwards. X-Calibur then reaches into the ring underneath the bottom rope and grabs Crazy Boy by the leg and swiftly pulls him out. Crazy Boy is able to get one leg underneath himself so he doesn't get slammed straight down onto the arena floor. It doesn't do him very well, however, as X-Calibur just takes Crazy Boy by the head and slams him into the steel ringpost, then turns and slams him back-first into the steel guardrail.

Bryan Harris: This is what happens when you disrespect someone like X-Calibur... you PAY FOR IT!

Alan Ducard: Certainly not looking good for Crazy Boy here in the early goings.

Spinning Crazy Boy around, X-Calibur hoists his opponent up off his feet, grabbing him around the waist, picking him up into an atomic drop and then crotching him on the steel guardrail. The fans in the front row cringe, and the guys behind them start yelling at X-Calibur, but the challenger pays them no mind, as he simply grabs Crazy Boy by the arm and pulls him down off of the guardrail. Standing above the champion, X-Calibur stomps down onto Crazy Boy, then starts walking off, making his way around the ring, composing himself before hopping back up onto the apron and getting into the ring.

Jimmy Yates: I guess X-Calibur doesn't seem to want to continue things outside the ring with Crazy Boy.

Bryan Harris: He's going to let things take a civilized turn. He doesn't need to be wild and unruly, he's going to beat Crazy Boy on his own terms!

Alan Ducard: Who would've thought that a guy in a group called Profanity & Insanity would want to take things on a respectful route.

Crazy Boy composes himself outside the ring, locking eyes with X-Calibur through the ropes. X-Calibur challenges him to enter the ring, and CB simply backs up into the steel guardrail, letting the fans pat him on the back and cheer around him, seemingly energizing him. X walks over to the ropes and starts yelling at Crazy Boy, and at that point CB rushes up, hops onto the apron and then drives his shoulder into X-Calibur's gut in between the ropes, doubling him over. Crazy Boy then holds onto the top rope and flips into the ring over his opponent, then spins around and hits a rising forearm uppercut.

Crazy Boy then grabs X-Calibur up into a fireman's carry and yells CRAZY AIRLINES, but before he can start spinning, Crazy Boy loses his grip on the challenger as X-Calibur drops down to the mat, immediately locks in a half-nelson and throws Crazy Boy over his head with a suplex. CB hits the mat, his head and neck twisting awkwardly, folding the champion up.

Bryan Harris: What's going through X-Calibur's head right now? He's wondering whether to end it now or toy around with Crazy Boy a bit longer.

Jimmy Yates: That's definitely a bit premature.

Taking Crazy Boy by the arm, X-Calibur hoists the champion up off the rope and sends him across the ring with an irish whip. On the return X-Calibur hoists him up and spins him around, going for the tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but before he can complete the move, X-Calibur is grabbed by Crazy Boy, whose quick feet were guided by strong body control down onto the mat, and Crazy Boy hits a front faceslam via reverse Side Russian Leg Sweep.

Both men fight to get back up off the mat, and Crazy Boy dives in from his knees and connects with a double axhandle to the back of X-Calibur's neck. Taking the challenger by the wrist, Crazy Boy gets him up off the mat, takes a couple steps and then sends him hard into the corner. CB follows him in, turning him around to face the middle of the ring before setting him up on the top rope in a seated position, and then Crazy Boy doubles him over and grabs him by the head.

Alan Ducard: I don't believe we've ever seen something like this from Crazy Boy before.

Jimmy Yates: Crazy Boy hooking X's head in on his shoulder and now grabbing him by the knees... is he going for a muscle buster?!

With an arm clutching each leg, Crazy Boy lifts X-Calibur up off the turnbuckle, crunching him up on his shoulder, then spins around a couple times and DROPS down onto the mat, X's shoulders hitting first and the fans going crazy. After pumping his fist to the crowd, the champion then turns and points at X-Calibur, getting another little pop from the crowd. Taking X by the arm, Crazy Boy gets him up off the mat just long enough to shove him down into the corner, where X leans up against the bottom turnbuckle, looking very dazed.

Bryan Harris: Now what's Crazy Boy doing?! He's got X-Calibur in a prone position, and he's walking away?!

Jimmy Yates: I think he's actually finding some running room!

Measuring up the challenger, Crazy Boy turns and runs into the ropes, right next to a nearby turnbuckle, then with a full head of steam comes charging back in and kicks his leg out to go for a face-wash boot, but at the last moment X-Calibur ducks his head underneath the middle rope and shoves CB's foot out of the way, avoiding the impact and causing the champion to get stuck in the ropes.

Bryan Harris: Think that would've happened if Crazy hadn't run off to try some move he saw on television?

Getting out onto the apron, X-Calibur uses the ropes to help himself back up to his feet. As Crazy Boy works to get back up off the mat inside the ring, X-Calibur reaches through the ropes, grabs CB by the hair, stands him up and immediately pulls the champion's neck down over the top rope, propelling him backwards as X drops to the arena floor with the hangman's drop.

Alan Ducard: X-Calibur buying himself a little extra time to recouperate there on the outside...

Jimmy Yates: HEY! Now he's going to owe that fan in the front row a beverage!

Needing a little something to quench his thirst, X-Calibur reached out and grabbed a beer from a guy in the front row and gulped it down, tossing him back the cup.

Alan Ducard: One can only guess how this will affect the challenger's performance in a bid to regain the World Championship.

Bryan Harris: Have you EVER drank before, Al? That beer ain't gonna do squat. Now, if he were to partner it with a half-dozen others, you might have cause to wonder, but even then, I'm pretty sure X can beat Crazy Boy.

As he waits and watches, X-Calibur gets back up onto the apron, holding onto the top rope, readying himself. Not knowing the full situation, Crazy Boy puts a knee underneath himself and then forces his legs to push up, getting him back to a vertical base. When he turns around, Crazy Boy sees X-Calibur leap up onto the top rope and propel himself at the champion, X's forearm connecting to CB's jaw so hard that he flies backwards, Crazy Boy's legs folding up over his head as he hits the mat. X-Calibur hits shoulder first on the mat and rolls, then puts his feet out dexterously and stops his momentum, then sneers at the shocked fans in the front row.

Alan Ducard: What a move by X-Calibur!

Bryan Harris: Yeah, I guess the beer hasn't set in yet, huh Al?

Grabbing the champ by his hair, X-Calibur pulls Crazy Boy into a seated position, then slaps him across the face before rushing off into the ropes. On the return, X hops off the mat and swings his leg around, sending his knee CRUSHING into the side of CB's head, twisting him and dropping him onto his chest, face down onto the mat. This gets the crowd going even more, and X-Calibur glares out at them for a moment before grabbing his crotch and then hooking the leg of the champion as Klinton Porter slides in to make the count.

One...

Two....!

TH-NO!!! KICKOUT!

Crazy Boy got his shoulder up just after the second count was registered, and X-Calibur just shakes his head and goes back to work, grabbing Crazy Boy again by the head and hoisting him up off the mat. Switching over, X-Calibur grabs the champion by the wrist and whips him into the ropes, and on the return he hoists CB up off the mat, spins around and DRIVES him into the canvas with a spinebuster. Again X-Calibur goes for the pinfall...

ONE....

Tw... NO! X-Calibur grabs Crazy Boy by the head and forces his shoulders up off the mat.

Jimmy Yates: Oh, how cocky is this?!

Bryan Harris: It's all about getting the win, Yates, and this is the demoralization process.

Alan Ducard: I thought that had to do with a chicken wing swing....

Bryan Harris: Shut up, Al.

Getting to his feet, X grabs the champion's legs, hoists him slightly up off the mat and starts twisting legs around and starts to turn CB over to go for the Legendary Pain, but CB reaches out and grabs X's ankles, then tucks his head and twists around, catching X off guard Crazy Boy rolls through into a pinfall position.

ONE...!!

TWO...!!!

THR... NO!!!

Using his legs, X-Calibur not only breaks up the pinning attempt, but in the process Crazy Boy is catapulted into the corner where he hits his shoulder on the corner ring post as he was sent between the ropes.

Jimmy Yates: That's not what Crazy Boy needs right about now...

Bryan Harris: A lobotomy is what CB needs right now, but first, X will be taking that belt... and doing it in style, might I add!

Jimmy Yates: How stylish is it to have that Legendary Pain attempt blocked and reversed....?

Moving up off the mat, X-Calibur pulls Crazy Boy out of the corner and moves to the middle of the ring. Grabbing one arm, then another, X-Calibur sets up his opponent for the Trouble-Arm DDT, but as he's smirking at the booing fans, X gets surprised as CB blocks the attempt, then breaks free his arms. Crazy Boy starts to do a back body drop, but he grabs X-Calibur by the back of the knees in the process and whips him forward, sending him crashing down into the mat an Alabama Slam which Crazy Boy adds extra impact to as he flips over with him, crashing down onto X's chest.

Alan Ducard: Innovative maneuver by Crazy Boy to get back in this match!

Bryan Harris: He'll have to do a lot more than that, as X probably still has plenty left in his tank.

Jimmy Yates: I don't know about that....

CB gets to his knees and takes X-Calibur by the head and sends a palm strike to his jaw, spinning him around still in a seated position. Crazy Boy positions himself in behind the challenger, raises his hand into the air, makes a four-finger "V" symbol and then locks in a Vulcan neck pinch to a great reaction from the fans.

X-Calibur's eyes shoot open, obviously in plenty of pain, and he tries to pry CB's hand off of his shoulder. Crazy Boy gets one leg underneath himself and uses it to slightly change his position, steadying himself and staving off the defenses of the challenger. The more X-Calibur fights it, the more he seems to be fading. Crazy Boy keeps the nerve pinch on his opponent, whose opposite arm is now the only thing trying to defend.

Alan Ducard: X-Calibur certainly too far from the ropes at this point, and Crazy Boy might win this by passive submission!

Klinton Porter moves in and takes X-Calibur's arm and lifts it into the air... AND IT FALLS ONCE!!!

Jimmy Yates: Just two more times...!

Klinton Porter again raises X's arm and lets it go... BUT X-Calibur STAYS STRONG!

Bryan Harris: Not tonight, folks!

Figuring out he has to change up his plan of attack, Crazy Boy gets up and moves in front of X-Calibur and kicks him in the chest. Following it up, he lifts X-Calibur up off the mat and then hoists him into the air. Putting X-Calibur down onto the mat with a bodyslam, Crazy Boy stomps down onto the challenger's chest, keeping him on the mat. Looking out over the fans, Crazy Boy points to the corner turnbuckle, and the champion gets a loud reaction from the fans.

Jimmy Yates: Could this be?! Is there a Crazy Spin coming?!

Alan Ducard: CB now out onto the apron, and since he typically only pulls out the dangerous Crazy Spin for big pay per view matches, that could be exactly why he's climbing the turnbuckles right now.

Reaching the top rope, Crazy Boy again looks out across the fans and puts his hands up, then he measures up X-Calibur and leaps off the top rope, rotating more than a full spin, pulling his knees up underneath him to drive them into Eryk's chest... NO!!!

Bryan Harris: HA! X-Calibur moves out of the way at the last moment, playing possum, and now Crazy Boy shows just why they call that type of move "HIGH RISK"!

Holding his knees as he writhes around in pain, Crazy Boy clearly in worse shape for having missed that move. X-Calibur blinks a few times, trying to regain his senses, and he pushes over and forces his way up off the mat, grabbing referee Klinton Porter by the shirt to help himself to his feet. Porter pulls himself away, X-Calibur steadying himself with a boot on the mat. Watching as the referee moves around to get out of X-Calibur's way, Eryk gets up, covers his eyes with his hands for a moment and stumbles in one direction, then swiftly backs up - RIGHT into Klinton Porter, knocking him to the mat.

Jimmy Yates: Whoa, what the hell....?!

Looking down at the fallen referee, X-Calibur smirks a little bit, then overtly pretends to rub his eyes again, this time stumbling around and mildly kicking Klinton in the neck.

Bryan Harris: Ouch! How unfortunate for Klinton Porter. Being a referee is dangerous work.

Alan Ducard: What we're seeing here is no accident.

Bryan Harris: In his post-match speech from our new World Champion, I'm sure you'll hear all about how badly he feels for what happened to Klinton Porter.

Jimmy Yates: Oh I'm sure we will, but I'm sure he won't be sorry.

With a smile on his face, X-Calibur helps Crazy Boy to get up off the mat. Backing up a step, X-Calibur charges in and then hits a place-kicker's boot to Crazy Boy's crotch, doubling over the champion.

Alan Ducard: Here comes a replacement referee, and I dare say that things have progressed too far to this point for any other outcome than what seems obvious, as X-Calibur is likely to become a three-time LEGACY World Champion.

As Travis Rollins slides into the ring, X-Calibur looks worried, pointing down to Klinton Porter, rubbing his eyes and reenacting his dizziness, apologizing for what happened. When it's apparent that Rollins isn't disqualifying X-Calibur, the challenger quickly turns and kicks Crazy Boy in the gut. Then it's X-Calibur's turn to get out onto the apron, and he climbs the turnbuckles even more swiftly than how Crazy Boy got there.

Bryan Harris: Get ready folks, THIS is how High Risk is done!

Lifting his arms into the air, X-Calibur leaps off the top rope, full extension, getting his elbow into position, and he comes CRASHING down with the Hang Time Elbow, connecting with his target - Crazy Boy's chest, but in the process he wrecks his ribs which hit right into the pulled-up knees of Crazy Boy, who found a way to keep the move from only hurting himself.

Alan Ducard: What a brilliant move by Crazy Boy to keep himself from losing this match!

Bryan Harris: Too little, too late, Al! That Hang Time elbow connected, and X-Calibur is on the home stretch to reclaiming that belt which is rightfully his... and you're about to see proof positive of that, because Eryk is on his way back up to his feet!

Still clutching his ribs, X-Calibur rolls over and puts his left knee down onto the mat, then plants his right foot and forces himself up to his feet, grabbing the rope with one arm to help right himself. Grabbing Crazy Boy by the hair, X-Calibur starts forcing the World Champion back to his feet, being admonished by Travis Rollins for the hair pull, but simply dismissing it. After burying a forearm into the side of CB's face, X-Calibur backs up a step, measures his opponent, then steps in and grabs CB's head in his hands and leaps up, the crowd anticipating an X-Terminator, but Crazy Boy hops forwards and leaps with his knees up, forcing them into X-Calibur's back. The moment each of their feet hit the mat, Crazy Boy grabs X-Calibur around the neck, pulls him backwards, hoists him up off the mat, twists him around... CRAZY SLAM!!!!!!

Jimmy Yates: So much for things being over, Harris!

Bryan Harris: Well don't start thinking that Crazy Boy is going to get a win with that weak version of the Crazy Slam! He didn't even hit it right!

Alan Ducard: I think Crazy Boy agrees with you there, Bryan.

Reenergized enough to keep moving, Crazy Boy reaches down, grabs X-Calibur up off the mat, head in hand, and again hoists him up into the air, spins... and PLANTS X-Calibur's head down into the mat for a second time, the crowd going wild as Crazy Boy throws his leg across as he hooks the other leg of the challenger, Travis Rollins making the count...

ONE!!!

TWO!!!!

THREE!!!!!!!

The bell tolls and the Atlanta crowd erupts, leaping to their feet and screaming out in pleasure. Travis Rollins moves over to the edge of the ring and gets the LEGACY World Championship from the time keeper, then returns to the center of the ring and hands it to a kneeling Crazy Boy.

Bryan Harris: Tell me this isn't happening!!!

Jimmy Yates: Wouldn't want to lie to ya, so all I can say is that against the odds, the underdog champion going into this match proves that the odds-makers were wrong!

Clutching the belt in his hands, Crazy Boy gets to his feet and kisses the belt, then moves over to the corner, resting his chest against the belt, his forearms holding himself up with the two top ropes which intersect at the turnbuckle. X-Calibur's eyes go wide as he's listening to Crazy Boy's theme song, realizing what just occurred. Gathering himself, Crazy Boy puts the belt up onto his shoulders, then climbs up to the second turnbuckle and thrusts the belt into the air, getting a pop out of the nearby portion of the arena.

Alan Ducard: This could very well be the true dawn of a new age here in LEGACY. Some said that what happened at Glimmer Of Hope was but a fluke, but by beating X-Calibur, Crazy Boy shows that he is able to win the big matches without relying on the luck of the draw or anything else.

As Crazy Boy gets down from that turnbuckle and moves over to another corner, X-Calibur flips himself over onto his stomach and forces himself up off the mat. When Crazy Boy climbs up onto the middle rope, X-Calibur gets himself to his feet and starts directly towards the World Champion. Crazy Boy thrusts the championship belt into the air, still facing the crowd, and then plops it right back down onto his shoulder. At that moment, X-Calibur reaches up, grabs the end of the strap which is draped down the back of Crazy Boy and he pulls it away.

Jimmy Yates: Aw what a sore loser!

Bryan Harris: Can it, Yates!

Crazy Boy feels that the belt is no longer on his shoulder, and he looks backwards to see who's there, and X-Calibur grabs him by the wrist and pulls him down off the turnbuckle. The belt now on the ground, X-Calibur reaches up and grabs after CB's head, looking for an X-Terminator, but Crazy Boy blocks it, shoves X-Calibur away from him. The night's top challenger stumbles back into the ropes, exhausted, and Crazy Boy reaches down, picks up the World Title and charges in, drilling X-Calibur in the face with it. As X-Calibur is dazed, Crazy Boy picks him up and dumps him over the top rope, sending him crashing down to the arena floor. From there, Crazy Boy holds the World Championship in hand and then climbs up to the second turnbuckle and again thrusts it into the air, and that's the parting shot of the evening.
