Loudoun Street Hockey League

First up we had a nailbiter between the Dekes of Hazzard and Blues Brothers. Down by 2 goals, late in the third period, the Blues Brothers cashed in a timely 5-on-3 powerplay. Pete Grigelis and Jeff Mrowka both scored with the man advantage, to tie the game at 5-5. The game would then go into overtime, but it was Sam Kukulich who would get the game winner (his third goal of the night) for Dekes of Hazzard! The final score was Dekes: 6, Bros: 5. Orange Crush picked up their first win of the season, with a 4-2 victory over Red Dead Redemption. Orange battled back from a 2-1 deficit, Mike Romeo scoring the equalizer and Daniel Heishman scoring the late go-ahead goal. Paul Wilt sealed the win for the Crush, with an empty netter in the final seconds!
