In Week 3’s first game, Ovenchicken dominated Book Hockey, coasting to a 15-0 victory. Mark Koss led Ovenchicken with 4 goals and an assist. Mike Dwyer recorded the shutout in net. In the second game, the Vienna Orange Wings picked up their first win of the season, as they beat the Hawks by a score of 5-2. Kevin Malone had 2 goals and 1 assist (including the game winner) for the Wings. The Misfits and Leesburg Lowercases faced off in the last game, and it was a nail biter. The Lowercases were ahead 4-2 with only a few minutes remaining, but Josh Barnette scored twice to send the game into overtime. In the extra period, Robbie Bouman notched the game winning goal for the Lowercases. The final score was Lowercases: 5, Misfits: 4.
