The first week of the 2017 Spring Season is in the books, and we were treated to two extremely close games. Tied with 3 goals each, Book Hockey and The Misfits needed OT to decide the winner. With just over a minute left in the extra period, Julian Doan would seal the victory for Book Hockey, scoring a sweet wrap-around goal. Book Hockey’s CJ Schoenherr also had a standout performance, recording 3 goals. The final score was Book Hockey: 4, Misfits: 3. Next up, Ovenchicken defeated the Leesburg Lowercases by a score of 6-5. The Lowercases rallied late in the second period with a goal from Bryan Oullette, but goals from Chris Cooper and Nick Dornbusch thwarted the comeback.
