We’re just over halfway through the regular season, and some teams are beginning to gain separation. Ovenchicken bounced back from their first regular season loss, beating the Leesburg Lowercases by a score of 6-0. Rob Fitchett had 2 goals and an assist, and Mike Dwyer had the shutout. The Misfits were also victorious again, picking up a 2-1 win against the Vienna Orange Wings. It was an extremely tight game, but John Hassan’s lone 2nd half goal was enough to put them over the edge. Josh Muntz made his debut in goal for the Punishers, earning the win against Book Hockey. Punishers forward, Matt McCarthy led the offense with 4 goals. The final score was Punishers: 8, Book Hockey: 4.
