Book Hockey picked up their first win of the season, defeating the Hitmen by a score of 7-4. CJ Schoenherr led Book Hockey with 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists). Ovenchicken also earned their first Fall ’16 victory, with a 4-2 win over the Hawks. Carter Moog had 2 goals for Ovenchicken. The last game of the night was a close battle between the Leesburg Lowercases and The Misfits. Tied midway through the second half, John Coppolino would net the eventual game winner for The Misfits. Steve Tippett also scored 2 key goals, including the game tying goal and the empty net goal to secure the win. The final score was Lowercases: 2, Misfits: 4.
