Loudoun Street Hockey is an organization of street hockey enthusiasts from the Northern Virginia area. It was founded back in 2006 by Loudoun County residents, Donnie Guthrie and Jordan Kunzler. The two avid hockey fans began organizing free, street hockey pick-up games at several of the local outdoor rinks on Saturday mornings. The games started out small and mainly consisted of close friends and family, but in a short time, more and more people became interested. Donnie and Jordan decided to take things to next level, and the Loudoun Street Hockey League was established. |

All league games are played on Tuesday nights at the Douglass Community Center. The full-size, outdoor rink is located at 407 E. Market Street in Leesburg, VA. Our first official league game was played on July 20, 2010. We’re currently accepting team and individual registrations. If you’re interested, contact Jordan Kunzler by sending an email to loudounstreethockey@yahoo.com. |

What exactly is Street Hockey? It’s simple. It’s just like ice or roller hockey, except WITHOUT SKATES!!! That’s right. We play in shoes and sneakers and use standard hockey sticks. The puck is replaced with a street hockey ball. All of our games are strictly recreational and non-contact. We loosely follow NHL rules, with the exception of offsides and icing. For more information on the league rules, please visit our Rules & Regulations page. The main goal of the Loudoun Street Hockey League is to promote interest in the sport and provide a recreational activity for members of our community.
