We were finally able to play some hockey! The Hawks looked sharp in their first game of the season, picking up a 2-1 win against Ovenchicken. James Reed only allowed one goal, and both Shahbaz Ahmed and Gregg Trawinski scored for the Hawks. Mark Koss scored a second half goal for Ovenchicken, to get the game within one, but the Hawks were able to hold them off. In the late game, the Leesburg Lowercases defeated The Misfits by a score of 4-2. Eric King had a standout performance, scoring two goals in his team’s victory.
