Loudoun Street Hockey League

First up was the Leesburg Lowercases taking on the Punishers.  The Lowercases took a 2-1 lead into the second half, but the Punishers turned it on in the second half, scoring 3 unanswered goals.  The final score was the Punishers: 4, Lowercases: 2.  Matt McCarthy scored the game winner for the Punishers.  Next we had another close game between the Hawks and the Misfits.  The Misfits were ahead 3-1 for most of the game, and the Hawks tried to fight back, scoring a goal with under 11 seconds left in regulation.  There wasn’t enough time for the Hawks to complete their comeback effort, and the Misfits held on for a 3-2 victory.  Steven Voss had the game winning goal for the Misfits.  Lastly, Ovenchicken picked up a 6-4 win against Book Hockey.  Nick Dornbusch of Ovenchicken turned in another dominant performance, scoring 5 goals (including the game winner)!  We’ll see everyone next week!
