The Misfits defeated the Punishers by a score of 6-3, in the opening game of the night. After going back and forth throughout the first 35 minutes of play, the Misfits got goals from Steven Voss and Marcin Zawacki to put the game out of reach. The second game was a close one between the Leesburg Lowercases and the Vienna Orange Wings. Down 2-1 in the second half, Tim Fialcowitz scored a late goal to send the game into OT. In overtime, Kevin Malone score the game winner for the Orange Wings. The final score was Orange Wings: 3, Lowercases: 2. In the last game of the evening, Ovenchicken picked up an 8-0 win against the Hawks. Dave Newbold led the way with 3 goals and 1 assist for Ovenchicken. Mike Dwyer recorded the shutout in goal.
