The Punishers earned their first victory of the season, with a convincing 7-3 win over the Hawks. Matt McCarthy had 4 goals and an assist for the Punishers. The second game was a close one between Ovenchicken and the Leesburg Lowercases. The Lowercases battled back from a 2-0 deficit, and got within 1 goal, midway through the second half. Shortly after that, Nick Dornbusch would put things out of reach, scoring 2 unanswered goals for Ovenchicken. The final score was Ovenchicken: 4, Lowercases: 1. The Vienna Orange Wings picked up their second straight win, in the final game. They beat Book Hockey by a score of 6 to 3. Pete Grigelis, Ted Maillett, and Kevin Malone each had a pair of goals for the Wings.
